Morais Vineyards & Winery is a rustic wedding venue located in Bealeton, VA. This setting offers a variety of event spaces, each featuring a timeless, romantic aesthetic for couples to enjoy their big day. The dedicated onsite team, inclusive packages, and picturesque vineyard views will ensure you and your guests have an unforgettable night. Family-owned and -operated, Morais Vineyards & Winery has over 100 years of experience in the art of winemaking. They opened their winery to the public in 2011, and it now makes for a tranquil setting for soon-to-be-weds to exchange their vows. Your day will begin in the two get-ready suites, where you and your wedding party can prepare for the altar together. Both rooms feature a large lounge area and a bright atmosphere to ease any prenuptial jitters. Your ceremony can take place in one of the multiple event areas, from the traditional-style chapel to the pondside pergola. After you tie the knot, you and your guests can enjoy your reception in The Ballroom, which features hardwood floors, Palladian-style windows, and painted Portuguese tiles. With over 4,000 square feet of space, this room can accommodate up to 250 guests. Balconies, lush lawn areas, and open-air patios are present onsite for cocktail hours and romantic photo sessions. This setting also offers pet-friendly spaces for couples to incorporate their furry friends into their ceremony programs. During your celebration, you will have a selection of wine varietals to choose from and enjoy. The team will connect you with a list of their trusted caterers, coordinators, and other vendors to ensure a high-quality event. Tables and chairs will be provided and arranged into any formation you prefer. This venue blew away all of our guests. It's the most beautiful and picturesque vineyard in the area, and I love the European influence - it doesn't look like you're in Virginia! Not only do they include rentals in their price, they also are absolute pros at hosting weddings, so you know everything will be perfect. Their wine is also so good! There are so many beautiful places to take pictures, as well. The bridal suite/cottage is the most gorgeous place to get ready - our vendors also agreed. Everything was absolutely perfect and gorgeous here, and to top it all off, the price for the quality of everything you get is insanely reasonable. My friends thought I had paid double what I actually paid, which is a huge compliment!

Stunning location! We got so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the venue is. The staff also worked with us to reschedule our 2020 wedding that we had to postpone due to COVID. We were stationed overseas at the time and they were really accommodating! We really appreciate their patience and generosity with us!

While Morais is absolutely stunning, run away. Communication prior to our wedding was amazing but when it came to our day everything fell through. In our opinion Morais has pointed the fingers at everyone else and not taking any responsibility for their own actions. Morais makes you use one of their preferred catering and if you don't use them its an additional $1,000 fee. The catering team had issues on the day which they have acknowledged and since then tried to make it better with us. As a couple that had to postpone our wedding from 2020 and been planning since 2017 you would think they would be caring. During your tour they will discuss they make sure they do not have tasting room guest come and crash your wedding. Their staff member did not do their job until our day of coordinator ran around to find them and then they finally did their job. This was 10 minutes before we started walking down and about 4 minutes from when our timeline said it was suppose to start. Then they state you have access to the cellar for photos. When we walked down to the cellar there was machinery in the room blocking the cellar access for photos. Our videographer and photographer had to place their expensive equipment on the floor to physically move the items themselves. My husband was holding my dress up to make sure it did not get wine on it. The staff member from Morais did not move the items nor barely help instead just watched. This photo access was clearly stated in our timeline which Morais asked for multiple times prior to our wedding yet the area was not ready for us when we arrived. Then when everything is said and done about other items in our opinion Morais has taken zero responsibility for anything and even charged us more money. Morais claims you dont have to purchase all the wine that you have selected, they were very happy to make sure all of it was placed in our car to be purchased even though 15 bottles of wine could have been returned. Morais ruined a day we can never recreate. Instead of being on a wedding high from the night before we spent the whole next day searching for my bridal bouquet. Morais's email told us it was in a rental car which it was not. The following day they send an email that we left florals in the venue and charged us $100 due to the contract stating no items be left on site after the conclusion of the time block. When we realized that someone had taken the florals out of our vehicle including my irreplaceable bridal bouquet we quickly asked them if the have thrown away my bouquet if it was part of what was left behind. They swore left and right it was not. My dear parents had to show up early in the morning to go through the dumpster to find my bouquet since Morais took no responsibility of the poor communication. When Morais finally called me they did not apologize or acknowledge places they misspoke in their emails. They continued to be on the defensive and until the 5th time of pointing out one item they acknowledged their error. In our opinion Morais was not compassionate and seems to only care about getting paid. Again the communication from Morais was horrendous in our opinion when it came to your big day happening. While the venue may be stunning, the headache and irreplaceable items are not worth the price tag Morais has placed on it, in our opinion.

From our initial interactions with them to the weeks after our wedding, everyone we interacted with at Morais was highly professional and invested in making sure we got the greatest experience out of our special day. Everyone was so warm and personable with us and extremely helpful in addressing any questions or concerns we may have. Morais even gifted us a personalized cake cutting set before our wedding day and a special bottle of wine after - we really appreciated these personal touches and the added level of client service provided. The venue itself was nothing short of stunning and provided us with a lifetime full of fond memories and amazing photo opportunities. Morais is such a darling place to get married. The architecture was gorgeous, the landscape was beautiful and their bridal suite has everything you need (my make-up artist loved it). There are a ton of locations on site to take pictures (there's a cute little chapel, a greenhouse, the courtyard, and a barrel room/wine cellar). We didn't get to take pics in the barrel room (bummer) due to all the festivities but are considering going back to take our 1 year wedding anniversary pics there.. that's how much we loved the venue! The staff is exceptional. They answered all of our questions, were extremely responsive and proactive throughout the whole process. We really couldn't have asked for a better team.

I cannot thank Morais enough or providing such a beautiful venue for our dream wedding!! As soon as I found them online, I locked in my wedding date with them and it was one of the best decisions I made! All of my guests have been reaching out to tell me how beautiful the venue was, and how it made them feel like they were in a different country. The wine is also fantastic, so having their wine at our wedding was super easy. They do require you to have a coordinator, but honestly with such a large venue and guests roaming around everywhere, it was so nice having someone to keep everyone on schedule and in the right location. We worked with Suzy from the start and she was extremely helpful, patient, and excited for me throughout the entire planning process. She reminded us of when payments were due and kept checking in on us as the time drew nearer. Thank you Suzy!!! Also, the bridal suite building is new and it is EXTREMELY beautiful! I had so much fun getting ready with all my bridesmaids! We had our own little garden which was perfect for mimosas and pictures beforehand, and each one of my five bridesmaids had her own station for hair and makeup. The bridal suite is so beautiful that our photographer actually took many pre-pictures there -it is the perfect backdrop for detail pictures! We had about 200 guests at our wedding and Morais made it easy for our guests to space out and explore however they liked. Some of our guests liked to hang in the large ballroom, while others roamed through the courtyard and ballroom. Our guests who arrived early just went to the tasting room and hung out and tried all the wines which was super convenient! Lastly, there are some outdoor balconies that make great escapes when you need some air or a quiet place to catch up with a guest, and the balcony in the ballroom was perfect for the bouquet toss! Definitely something our guests won't forget!If you’re looking for an amazing venue, look no further!

My husband and I got married at Morais on November 4th. Morais is breath taking both inside and outside. Suzy, the coordinator is amazing and goes above and beyond to help make our wedding perfect. Due to weather we had our ceremony inside and it was perfect, intimate, and romantic due to Morais' beautiful architecture. I honestly couldn't recommend this place more, it was perfect and made our wedding day exactly what we envisioned.

My husband and I got married at Morais on November 4th. Morais is breath taking both inside and outside. Suzy, the coordinator is amazing and goes above and beyond to help make our wedding perfect. Due to weather we had our ceremony inside and it was perfect, intimate, and romantic due to Morais' beautiful architecture. I honestly couldn't recommend this place more, it was perfect and made our wedding day exactly what we envisioned.

This place is beautiful!! I fell in love with it the second we drove up the drive. It is so picturesque. Perfect for a wedding. We had our ceremony at the pergola by the lake. It was so peaceful and serene and lovely. Our reception was inside the ballroom and that room is insanely beautiful. With the Chivari chairs and chandeliers - it's so pretty. One complaint - we hosted our cocktail hour in the bar area to the left of the ballroom. Unfortunately, the air conditioner didn't work so everyone had to go outside. And it was over 90 degrees. By the time people got to the reception, they were already sweating like crazy. The venue told us about the air that day, that they could not fix it because it was a Sunday, but for the price we paid - you'd think they would've tried a little harder. Plus emergency air conditioning repairs are a thing. I feel like it really made the rest of the ballroom/building hot because the air conditioner that was working had to work extra hard to compensate. The whole room was a little too warm to be comfortable. It was so warm my mother fainted! I have to blame that on other factors but the heat didn't help. I was sweating bullets in an already hot dress. It was over 90 degrees so no excuse to have an a/c not working. My coordinator, Suzy, was very nice and I enjoyed her throughout the process. She was patient with my questions and requests, and always prompt to respond. She was well organized and really helped steer our day to a successful day. Despite the a/c issue, I'd return here in a heartbeat. I loved this venue! If it had been working - I would've given them a 5. I'm sure this is an isolated event.

My husband and I got married at Morais on July 16, 2016. All the employees were very responsive and willing to answer any questions that we had which helped with the planning process. We were planning on having the ceremony outside, however the day of the wedding we had a huge thunderstorm roll in and changed our plans...LAST MINUTE....which was not terrible since the venue itself is SO BEAUTIFUL. Suzy and the staff were quick to make sure the reception space was ready to go for us to move the wedding inside...it all went smoothly! I would highly recommend this venue! It is just so beautiful and their wine is delicious! I cannot begin to tell you how many people came up to us after the wedding and say how amazing the wine was! So look no further if you are in search of a venue for your special day :)

We were planning on having the ceremony outside, however the day of the wedding we had a huge thunderstorm roll in and changed our plans...LAST MINUTE....which was not terrible since the venue itself is SO BEAUTIFUL. Suzy and the staff were quick to make sure the reception space was ready to go for us to move the wedding inside...it all went smoothly! I would highly recommend this venue! It is just so beautiful and their wine is delicious! I cannot begin to tell you how many people came up to us after the wedding and say how amazing the wine was! So look no further if you are in search of a venue for your special day :)

My now husband and I searched near and far to find \"our venue.\" The one that spoke to us, and represented our vision of an elegant and classic wedding. We searched in Annapolis, Baltimore, Arlington, and in D.C. but nothing was worth the cost. We decided to expand our search more into the \"country\" and found Morais. In an instant, entering through the gates we knew we had found our venue. Words can't describe the beauty of Morais Vineyards and Winery. It's an incredible venue! It's not just a great location to host your wedding, but the staff is just as award winning. During our final months of planning our wedding we worked with Rachel. She is just beyond amazing and does everything she can to make sure that you are all set for your wedding. My now husband and I searched near and far to find \"our venue.\" The one that spoke to us, and represented our vision of an elegant and classic wedding. We searched in Annapolis, Baltimore, Arlington, and in D.C. but nothing was worth the cost. We decided to expand our search more into the \"country\" and found Morais. In an instant, entering through the gates we knew we had found our venue. Words can't describe the beauty of Morais Vineyards and Winery. It's an incredible venue! It's not just a great location to host your wedding, but the staff is just as award winning. During our final months of planning our wedding we worked with Rachel. She is just beyond amazing and does everything she can to make sure that you are all set for your wedding. Morais Vineyards was the perfect gem that we discovered accidentally for our August 30th, 2014 wedding. \rThe place is perfection! Your first impression of the front entrance of the vineyard is that of a Mediterranean Villa (Owners are Portuguese, hence the influence), which will start setting up your guests nicely.\rNext is the back of the vineyard, where we had the wedding ceremony, a picturesque view with a beautiful pond with a fountain, straddled by barn animals on the right (a Norman Rockwell site), hugged on the left by trees and the vineyard, with the wedding hall in the back; we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting.\rThe reception hall is perfectly sized and can be expanded to accommodate 300 guests. Stacy & Nicole (Morais' coordinators) are a delight to work with. Case in point: our wedding vows ceremony was 45 minutes late in starting because of a problem with our DJ. Stacy was perfect in keeping everyone calm, especially my wife, while she and the coordinator attended to the issue. My groomsmen and I were treated as kings while we waited for the problem to resolve itself (specifically, we were well hydrated with fine, Morais wine). Leading up to our wedding, My wife and l were made to feel very welcome, like we had joined a new \"family,\" often being invited to tastings (and gifts). I know my wife felt very comfortable throughout the process, even taking her bridesmaids for a girls-only wine tasting. Just bring your best photographers to this venue. Your wedding will look like it came out of a magazine! One caution, though: Bealeton is a small town, thus the hotels are, at best, 2 star quality and they book quickly. From our experience we suggest to include hotel names within 30 miles from the venue, some of which are comfortable 4 star hotels that some of your guests will want to stay at. Our wedding party was large, so both my wife and I rented two very large homes nearby that accommodated every one; the guys in their own home, the ladies in theirs'. It really added to the \"texture and feel\" of our wedding. Our guests came back feeling like we took them on a getaway. We are already getting petitions from our friends to create an occasion to return to Morais!

In the beginning of our wedding planing we went on a four month quest I would say for the perfect venue. After searching and visiting venues I almost gave up on my search and was planning to take the destination wedding route. Soon after I was browsing online and stumbled across a wedding blog that featured the Morais. I immediately fell in love and I was also crossing my fingers that the price and location were within my preference. After scheduling a visit to the Morais I was literally counting down the days when we would be able to visit this magical place that I fell in love with online. Fast forward to the day of my visit when my hubby and family final got to the venue we all had a serious moment of silence. Everyone that came along was in complete awe at how beautiful and perfect the venue was it was then that we all knew that this was the perfect venue for us. Fast forward to our wedding 08/10/13, the best day of our lives! Everything was beautiful from the Cinderella horse and carriage to the wonderful ceremony, jazz cocktail hour and reception. Morais was a dream come true. When my husband and I were beginning our planning we knew that a hotel was not the direction we wanted to go. We were engaged visiting my husband's family in Spain, so that became our inspiration to find a vineyard. Somewhere picturesque, with delicious wine, and relaxed a atmosphere.\r\rI was actually told by few other vineyards, in the area, not even go by Morais. I am so glad I did not listen. The wine was hands down the best out of 10 other vineyards/wineries we tried in the Warrenton area. In comparison Morais offered more time and supplies for about the same amount.\r\rNicole Warner is the best in the business. She is incredible and goes far above her job description making sure everything is calm and perfect. She communicated with my vendors and guided me through the planning process/decision making without me even asking. She made me relax and enjoy my wedding! The staff was impeccable every time we visited.\r\rI truly fell in love with this vineyard and its story. I have recommend this location to everyone for any occasion. If you are looking for a gorgeous escape, with amazing wine look no further. Make sure to ask to see the wine cellar to fully transport you!\r\rWe are planning on coming back for our first anniversary and many more to come!

In one word \"AMAZING!\" Morais Vineyards was the place we fell in love with right when we arrived. We had not even walked inside or talked to anybody, but already knew it was the one. We went on a dreary, drizzly day and the place still looked amazing. We could only imagine what it would be like beautiful and sunny which it was on our wedding day. We worked with the venue coordinator, Nicole Warner, who was very helpful along the whole way from start to finish. We also met the owner who was humble as could be when we were in the tasting room. The whole place is beautiful with so many places to take pictures, especially the wine cellar. Also, the fact that we had 300 guests and Morais was able to accommodate was a big plus. The wine selection is great and I would highly recommend this place over and over again. Wish I could say more, but I must not go spend more time with my wife. :)

In one word \"AMAZING!\" Morais Vineyards was the place we fell in love with right when we arrived. We had not even walked inside or talked to anybody, but already knew it was the one. We went on a dreary, drizzly day and the place still looked amazing. We could only imagine what it would be like beautiful and sunny which it was on our wedding day. We worked with the venue coordinator, Nicole Warner, who was very helpful along the whole way from start to finish. We also met the owner who was humble as could be when we were in the tasting room. The whole place is beautiful with so many places to take pictures, especially the wine cellar. Also, the fact that we had 300 guests and Morais was able to accommodate was a big plus. The wine selection is great and I would highly recommend this place over and over again. Wish I could say more, but I must not go spend more time with my wife. :)

We got married here the third week of June. The team at Morais is incredible. Nicole and Stacey were both so helpful through the entire process, and the venue is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. We still have guests raving about how amazing the venue was 3 months later!

We found Morais Vineyards very early on in our search for wedding venues. We contacted them on a Saturday and were able to get in the very next day for a tour of the venue. Right away we fell in love with it. The entire property is gorgeous (and we saw it for the first time in the middle of winter when there wasn't even any green on the vines). The wines really helped lock in our decision to have our wedding here too ;) We even had the Cherry Wine in the chocolate cups as a toast during the reception instead of the traditional champagne toast. \r\rNicole and Stacy, the venue event coordinators, are phenomenal. First of all, they are the nicest people you will ever meet and they really have excellent customer service. They are quick to answer any of the hundreds of questions we had about planning the ceremony and reception and their experience with large events really shows. Our wedding went flawlessly thanks to their expertise.\r\rAs far as outdoor/indoor options go, we had not 1 or 2 but *3* back up plans ready to go in case of rain. (Our first choice was out at the pergola by the pond, which we were lucky enough to get since the weather was beautiful). And if you work with their list of preferred vendors, the back up plans will be even easier to pull off because of their experience at the venue.\r\rIf you're looking to have your wedding at Morais, just do it. I can't put in to words how incredibly perfect our wedding day was and I wouldn't have had it anywhere else.

I came across Morais Vineyards while searching for venues on The Knot....and as gorgeous as the pictures were online it truly doesn't even begin to do it justice. This is the most beautiful wedding venue I've ever been to and I still can't believe I was able to have MY wedding there. The staff was absolutely amazing. Nicole and Stacy were the BEST, ensuring that all my need were met and my perfect day was gorgeous AND stress free. I love Morais and look forward to returning there every year (at a minimum) to celebrate our anniversary, enjoy the wonderful wine and relive our picturesque wedding.

Morais was the perfect place for our wedding. The venue is absolutely stunning, there is no other winery in Virginia that compares with its beauty. Nicole, the event coordinator, is so helpful and wonderful to work with. We had a few small requests that they were able to accomodate that I was so appreciative of! This venue is a real life fairy tale! The outside of the building alone is beautiful enough to take your breath away. The grounds, outside ceremony site and ballroom only add to it's elegance. My guests could not stop talking about how wonderful the entire venue was. In addition to the cosmetic beauty of the property it was one of the few places that could hold a wedding of over 200 people. My caterer and the Morais staff worked wonderfully together making everything go seamlessly on my big day. I could not recommend this venue enough.

Morais is an incredible spot for a wedding. We had planned to have the ceremony outside, cocktails in the upstairs tasting room, and the reception in the ballroom. Sadly, it rained on our wedding day so we moved the ceremony to the ballroom, but people were still in awe of the gorgeous venue. I was told that our plan B was better than a lot of couples' plan A! The weather cleared up after the ceremony, so we were able to have pictures outside in the vines, out back in the grass by the barn, and downstairs in the wine cellar -a great variety of spots. Our pictures turned out great! The wine was delicious, so of course everybody was happy. Nicole, the venue coordinator, was super friendly and organized. I loved everything about our wedding experience at Morais!

I had a wonderful experience working with Morais Vineyards for my wedding this past May. Nicole was absolutely a joy to work with and made my wedding day perfect! They were accommodating and helped us achieve everything we wanted on our special day. It feels as if you are in Europe when driving onto this property and everything about it was magical. I would recommend to any bride this vineyard for your wedding and reception. It is worth every penny and Nicole will make your stress level disappear!

I had the most amazing experience here. The venue is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!! It helps that it is barely a year old. It is awesome because unlike many wineries it is set up to be a wedding venue. You do not have to worry about the space not working. The Morais family is amazing and their wedding coordinator is very nice. (I am a touch bias because I knew the family in advance) But either way it was amazing. I know it was booked Friday, Saturday and Sunday for many months of the summer. Book early!
