Morningside Inn is a private estate offering the perfect setting for your wedding and reception on 300 private acres, located just outside of D.C. in Frederick Md. Ceremonies are performed under a gorgeous pavillon attached to an open brick patio where your guests will enjoy your exchange of vows. Surrounded by rolling hills, woods and three ponds with a beautiful Weeping Willow tree for your perfect wedding photo, you can step away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a private, peaceful wedding celebration when you book with Morningside Inn. Morningside Inn offers an alternative for inclement weather with its quick relocation inside where floor to ceiling windows allow you to enjoy the panoramic view as if your ceremony was taking place outside. Facilities and Capacity With a maximum capacity of 200 guests, Morningside Inn has three main event spaces available for use. Enjoy the venue’s outdoor ceremony space as you say “I do” against the covered pavilion and your guests sit excitedly on the brick patio. In cooler months, or in cases of inclement weather, the ceremony can be moved indoors to the reception space. This room features floor to ceiling windows overlooking tree-lined rolling hills. When it comes time for the reception, host your guests in Morningside Inn’s dining room, complete with a double-sided stone fireplace and large sunny windows. Morningside Inn was AMAZING! We had our wedding there in October 2021 and had Melissa as our coordinator. They were so helpful during the entire process and very flexible on what we needed during the pandemic. All of our guests complimented us on how beautiful the venue was, the outstanding customer service, and delicious food! Highly recommend the carver's roast and their chipotle honey bacon appetizer. They were able to accommodate all dietary special requests and helped the whole wedding flow smoothly. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding reception location, and after seeing several other venues in the Frederick, MD area, we knew Morningside could make our dream wedding come true! The scenery is beautiful in all seasons and our pictures turned out gorgeous. Highly recommend Morningside Inn! 10/10!

What a beautiful venue to hold your wedding! We were looking for all inclusive with amazing views and Morningside gave us all of that and more. Melissa was our day of coordinator and we loved her! She took all the extra stress away to ensure the day was perfect! Highly recommend this venue!

Morningside Inn is a truly magical place to get married! The planning process was so easy and professional. We were assigned Melissa as our planner and day of coordinator, and she was great! She was one step ahead of me and my Type A mind. When COVID hit, everything was up in the air over the summer, but Melissa and the whole team at Morningside Inn was quick to respond to my questions and concerns. The day of went very smoothly, and Melissa was fantastic. She was like my wedding day fairy god mother! I can’t forget to mention THE FOOD! So many of our guests complimented us on the food choice and said how much they enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a perfect venue – look no further! Morningside Inn is a great choice, and a great value. Thank you again, Melissa & Morningside team – you made our COVID wedding truly magical.

The venue was beautiful, staff was courteous and on top of everything, and our coordinator, Lauren, was phenomenal. When you book at morningside, they provide a day of coordinator to keep things moving, and Lauren did just that. From the planning to the day of, Lauren was fantastic to work with and made the process as stress free as possible. Our guests were infatuated with the gorgeous views and facility. I can't say enough about how fabulous the Morningside staff are! We started our planning experience with coordinator, Lauren and she was so great at answering my questions and covering every detail in booking the venue. Later, we got coordinator, Melissa who helped the day of our wedding as well. She was also incredible! So attentive, made sure everything flowed smoothly, kind, and just all around so great. The entire staff were professional and helpful. All of our guests raved about our venue and how incredible it was!! Beautiful setting and perfect experience for a reasonable price!!!

I am the kind of person who does their research before doing anything. I met with at least two vendors for every aspect of my wedding including the venue. Let me just say that Morningside Inn (and their coordinators) know exactly what they are doing. They were able to take my wedding vision and make it even better than I could have imagined. The indoor outdoor options are great especially because weather is one aspect of a wedding that you can’t control! The coordinator took so much stress off of me before the wedding, at the rehearsal, and especially on the actual wedding day. I was able to sit back and enjoy my wedding day! Our coordinator was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the view speaks for itself. I highly recommend booking with Morningside and if you are on the fence then you NEED to go visit.

We truly loved this venue, and the people who work there really make it special! Our wedding was November 18th this year, and while we practiced our ceremony outside, we ended up having to do it inside from the rain! Lauren was our coordinator at Morningside, and she is amazing. I told her my plan and wrote everything out so she had all she needed, and everything was so smooth and perfect. I didn't have to worry about anything except enjoying our wedding! It's a one-stop-shop with an in-house caterer who is really delicious. The choices were great, and ask to try their house champagne. I would recommend this venue to anyone. We got lucky with a weather break right after the ceremony, and the bridal party got to have photos outside at misty-dusk time with the rolling hills. The photos will be magical, as this place is a beauty. Any time of the year too. Thank you so much for everything you all did to make our day really incredible. It was the best party of our lives, and we were blessed to have you all involved!

Lauren and the staff at Morningside were extremely helpful and attentive and they took care of everything from setting up the decorations to packaging them back up at the end of the night. The venue is beautiful and I really liked the two-floor approach (dinner upstairs, dancing downstairs) - it really gave us more room to move around and dance during the reception. Would definitely recommend to other brides!

We cannot say enough great things about the venue and staff. Our coordinator, Lauren, was amazing. She was professional and kept things moving in a timely fashion. If there was ever an issue, she was quick to respond. We can't thank her enough for all her work and for being patient with us. The food was wonderful! I wish I could have eaten more but my nerves were getting the best of me. Haha! Again, wonderful venue and staff. We would definitely recommend.

Shannon, our wedding coordinator was excellent. We were concerned about the weather on the big day, but Shannon's confidence and level-headed ness was amazing and definitely put me at ease. The venue itself is gorgeous, especially in the fall. It's just isolated enough to really have an intimate feel without being hard to get to.

All of our needs were met and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. I had my wedding at Morningside Inn on October 26th and it was just amazing. From the moment you walk into the bridal suite to when you leave at night (get a shuttle!) Lauren made the whole day flawless and enjoyable. I used the vendors at Morningside for my photography and florist and both were phenomenal! Everyone involved in the wedding was personable and made you feel the entire time they were working hard to make your day unique and special for you. \rI highly recommend Morningside to anyone! Just amazing!

Wow! All I can say is that this place was just amazing! The views were gorgeous, the food was excellent, the staff was helpful and friendly. I cannot say enough great things about Morningside. The location was a little far from us, but it made it like a part destination wedding. Our wedding coordinator Beth was awesome! The only negative I would say is that my husband and I did not get to really taste the appetizers :( I heard they were delicious though. I would defenitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a rustic, laid back scenic venue for their special day. Everything is included which makes things easy!

I had my wedding at the end of May at Morningside Inn and couldn't have imagined a more beautiful location. All you can see if rolling hills, beautiful trees and green everywhere. The staff was extremely professional and had everything together so I didn't worry about a thing. The ceremony was outside and perfect for a large or small group. I would recommend this venue to anyway!

We had our Wedding at Morning Side and our reception there as well on 06.08.12. The place it's self was beautiful. However while my florist/friend was setting up she asked my coordinator for help or to get some guys to help and she never got the, which put her behind. My coordinator wasn't as attentive nor kept my wedding on time (my DJ ended up doing that for me) like other brides had. We also had tractors mowing during our outdoor wedding which people and my videographer heard and the video picked up. The food was great, the bar tender was awesome. My biggest complaint is about my coordinator and a number of other things that I thought she should had handled but either my mom or myself had to do on my wedding day. The owner was nice and helped us budget more for the wedding however she did forget from time to time my information or information in my contract even when it was in front of her. My guest and bridal party loved the venue and food as well. Other than those things I would recommend MSI however keep your eyes open and make sure you don't get the same issues as I did.

We had our October 6, 2012 ceremony and reception at Morningside Inn and it was absolutely amazing. Beth was our coordinator and she was great. She was always timely with responding to my emails and graciously answered all of my questions. The venue was absolutely gorgeous - we received so many compliments from our guests about how pretty and unique the setting was. During the cocktail hour and reception, the staff was extremely attentive - someone was always checking with my husband and I to see if there was anything we needed. That wasn't something I had expected, but was grateful for and appreciative. \r\rI would absolutely recommend MSI - it was the perfect setting for our day.

My husband and I looked at many different venues from Annapolis up to Middletown and once we went to Morningside Inn nothing could really compare. The setting is perfect and it is very affordable there too. Very private location with nice views outside and a pretty drive down a long driveway into the venue. They had recently done some updates and painting before our wedding so it was fresh and clean for us too! Jeanie was very accommodating to us while we tried to crunch numbers and be budget savvy, and the staff was great at calling back and answering questions as we went along in the process. We had a large wedding (over 200 people) and I was worried about how things would fit but it worked out really well. We had our ceremony at our church, but the location for the outdoor ceremony there is really nice, and we used that patio during the reception. The food was very good, and the chef even let us have a private tasting before our wedding that was not part of their tasting party with everyone invited, which we really appreciated. It was nice to have dinner on one floor and reception on the other just to break things up and keep the wedding flowing. They don't have elevators there, so we did have to drive some of the grandparents and elderly guests around the side, but we knew that in advance so we planned for it. I did not use any of the \"onsite\" vendors offered just because I had looked into a bunch of others that I felt more comfortable with, so I can't review their services, but I'm sure they are just fine! The cost for this location was very affordable compared to many others that we looked into, and that was probably the best part! They offered reductions for kids and people not drinking to help save money too. I had some concerns with some of the decor that was out during the tastings etc. but they took care of everything that was not related to our wedding, and it all went flawlessly the day of. Jeanie, the owner, has done weddings for years and she has a tried and true method of putting them together, but you need only ask if you want to make adjustments and she will figure out a way to make it happen. I think we had a lot of subtle changes to the \"normal\" way they did things but they had no problem accommodating (used glass instead of plastic, gave us some different wine selections, we joined the cocktail reception early, etc.). A drawback was that it did take a while for bus transportation to get from the hotels in Frederick all the way out there, but that's not Morningside's fault. Morningside Inn is such a beautiful place. When I was looking into venues, Morningside Inn was one of the last places I looked at but when I got there and took one look around, I cried because I knew this was it. All of the staff were more than helpful when it came to questions and pre-wedding panic. They were always accommodating - through email, phone calls, and in person. My coordinator Shannon helped me decide the wedding day timeline, schedule the rehearsal, and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding. She set up most of the tables (guest book, favor, cake, etc) and they looked amazing. She handled so much on the day of the wedding that looking back now I know I wouldn't have survived without her! Throughout the wedding I got to enjoy myself because everything was being handled by Shannon! At the end of the night, everything was packaged and ready to go! The food was excellent. Everything was top-notch and I had the best wedding ever at Morningside. We had a Saturday wedding in the evening and luckily no one had scheduled a daytime wedding so we got to be there getting ready and setting up all day. If we only had 2 hours prior to the ceremony which is what happens when there are 2 weddings on Saturday, I am not sure how it would have went down because I think I had a lot of stuff to prepare, even with all the staff working hard. I am so glad that my husband and I chose Morninside Inn for our wedding - we don't regret it and would recommend it in a heartbeat. Thank you, Morningside Inn

We couldn't have asked for anything more. Just driving down the long one-laner on 300 acres caught my attention and then the floor to ceiling windows once you walk in. My planner Shannon, was very attentive and the staff was great for the whole event. Everyone mentioned how classy our wedding was. Even the food is good:) The pricing is also very upfront and reasonable.

We were planning on a courthouse wedding until we visited and fell in love with Morningside Inn. Their attention to detail is amazing, and they make sure that everything is perfect. Last minute crises are no problem at all - it was a completely stress free and unforgettable evening. They accommodated all of our requests - providing an entree not normally on the sit-down menu, setting up for karaoke during the reception, I could go on and on. Coordinators are just wonderful. I DEFINITELY recommend Morningisde very highly. We are so glad we decided to have our wedding there, one month later and we have not stopped hearing the praise yet!

We had a wonderful reception at Morningside Inn. Everything went off without a hitch! Jeanie and her staff were so helpful throughout the entire process. They worked with us so that we had everything we needed. We were a little disappointed that we could not keep a running tab on the bar. We had a daytime reception and many of our guests did not drink. We wanted to provide drinks, but wished there was an option other than all or nothing. Also, we struggled to communicate with our day-of coordinator, Shannon. The last e-mail I sent her was 11 days prior to our wedding, and I never heard back from her. Luckily, she was there for everything we needed for the actual wedding day.

My fiance and I loved Morningside Inn. It's a beautiful setting and they have a wedding coordinator onsite to take care of everything the day of so all we had to do was show up. They also have a huge 2 room, 2 bath bride's room and a grooms room which my fiance LOVED! I got married on a Sunday so I had my hairdresser and makeup person come on site to have everything done there. There is plenty of room. It's totally worth the money you spend. The food is amazing!! The reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because the server staff messed up my seating arrangement for dinner so there was some confusion when our guests were finding their seats and there was an empty table next to us and my fiance's family were stuck over in a corner far away from us when they weren't supposed to be. Other than that, everything was fabulous!

We absolutely loved Morningside Inn, we enjoyed the beautiful views during our ceremony and had amazing pictures afterward. The food was great and everything ran smoothly and was timely. We were a little disappointed in the wedding coordinator, but overall loved everything about our wedding day there. We also liked that there was a nice indoor option in case of rain.

I just had my wedding Oct. 16th at Morningside Inn and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Shannon my wedding planner that was assigned to me was absolutely wonderful! She was completely on the ball with everything. Everything I asked her to do was done. And done better then I had imagined. The food was fantastic! The venue beautiful and clean. Everyone was coming up to me and asking how we found Morningside Inn. I just told them when we drove the long driveway and arrived we just knew!

I got married at the Morningside in July 2011. Not only are the Inn and grounds beautiful but the staff is extremely helpful. I planned the wedding long distance and they were always a pleasure to talk to. Considering the venue prices in the DC metro area the Morningside was a steal.

The Morningside Inn was a beautiful place for my wedding. They have an on site event coordinator, who helps organize everything from our menu to the rehearsal to all the details the day of the wedding. The location itself is gorgeous and truly amazed all of our guests. It provided beautiful backdrops for all of our photos. They were also accommodating when our guest count came in under their 125 Saturday event minimum, and provided us with extras for our event like an upgraded bar to compensate for the difference in cost.

My husband and I saw pictures of the property online and became very interested. We set up an appointment to see it in person and immediately fell in love with the venue, the staff and everything about it! It was very inexpensive for everything included-- much cheaper than most venues we explored. Most importantly, the staff was amazing! No matter when we stopped in, called or emailed, someone was always more than happy to help us. From the very first email till now (weeks after our wedding), we have been overwhelmed with the kindess, professionalism and helpfulness of the staff at Morningside Inn. \r\rAdditionally, the venue is perfectly self-contained and situated. It is on a gorgeous lot in the middle of the peaceful countryside. The flow which Morningside had created to make each wedding go on without a hitch, is great! We had our ceremony outside on the patio with breathtaking views all around. If it were to rain or got too hot, we could easily move the ceremony inside. This was a HUGE advantage, as you can never predict the weather!! After the ceremony, our wedding party was whisked inside for refreshments before going out for pictures. While our wedding party got pictures, the guests were treated to cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. From there guests were moved upstairs to the dining room for dinner, and back downstairs for the reception afterwards. The timing to everything is flawless. We were extremely impressed!\r\rAnd all the while, you are assigned your own personal coordinator to help you with everything. They are available at anytime, and I never had any trouble getting my questions/concerns answered... no matter how big or small!\r\rAll of our guests boasted how perfect the venue was! They were impressed with the flow of everything, the food was great, the people were friendly, the setting was gorgeous! Many said it was easily the best wedding venue they had ever attended!\r\rOverall, we were most impressed and satisfied with our experience at morningside! The only downfall was how quickly everything went!!... but that is the same anywhere! :) Highly recommended!

I loved this wedding venue. It was set in a gorgeous setting. The view was beautiful and helped to make all the pictures gorgeous. It was a very romantic setting and the staff did everything to make it a day to remember with now regrets!

The location is great for outdoor photos, a lake, rolling hills, outdoor patio, trees, etc. The food is good and staff is pretty helpful. The dining room is very pretty with a nice fireplace and staircase down to another room for dancing and cocktails. The patio is nice for guests to go outside during the reception but there is plenty of space inside as well.
