Mount Vernon Canyon Club is a historic wedding venue based in Golden, CO. Set 7,600 feet into the sky and just 20 minutes away from Denver City, this site offers spectacular views like no other. Couples can exchange vows amidst the striking mountain-top scenery, looking over the lights of the city. This venue was founded in the early 1920's after World War One had come to an end. The property was originally intended as a country club, with individual homes for its members to enjoy an escape in the mountains. Throughout this time, the club hosted dinner dances while the members enjoyed sports such as golf and croquettes. During the aftermath of World War Two, the mountain homes were used for residential purposes, while the club continued to host family dinners for occupants. Renovations to the original structure began in the 1960s, as the site kept pace with changing times. These renovations were based on making the most out of the unique location. Visitors can now enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from inside the warmth of the club, or enjoy the tranquil ambience of nature on the decking. This venue caters to all ceremony types. For couples wishing to make the most of the glorious surrounding landscape, ceremonies can be held on the outdoor decking. With a stunning backdrop of mountains during the day, or lit up at twilight, this location offers a truly gorgeous setting for wedding pictures. This venue also offers three elegant indoor event rooms, each with their own private deck, large windows, and scenic views. Mount Vernon Canyon Club can accommodate up to 220 guests. In addition to wedding ceremonies and receptions, they can cater to rehearsal dinners, luncheons, showers, and engagement parties. Catering needs are taken care of by the club’s in-house chef, Ryan Wolf. Couples can choose from a variety of menu options, including hors d'oeuvres, plated meals, or buffets, as well as stations. While the chef does allow couples to bring their wedding cake, he is also happy to create a custom-made cake that they can design. The club offers a range of services in their wedding packages, including the use of reception tables and chairs, along with setup of the room. They can provide items such table linens, napkins in a choice of colors, plates, and flatware. The site provides ample parking. To assist the couple in the planning process, the team also offers a list of vendors. This includes services such as florists, music, officiants, photographers, transportation, specialty rental services, and wedding planners. As there is no on-site accommodation, recommendations for hotels are also available.

Mount Vernon Canyon Club was a wonderful venue to have our wedding! Everything went absolutely perfect. The deck view overlooking Clear Creek Canyon and the Table Mountains hooked us -- gorgeous cascading pine trees and mountain views. (We lucked out with great weather but the venue had alternative options available inside for the ceremony if needed.) Barbara was amazing to work with and gave us many tips on food count and other items to help make decision-making easier. On the day of she also made sure to save us some of the hors d’oeuvres while we were out taking photos. The grilled cheese and tomato soup along with the mini-tacos were a hit! All the food was amazing and the venue had many options to adjust to food allergies and restrictions. Overall, the view is to die for, plenty of customization options and packages for food and alcohol, and we loved every second of our wedding!

We could not have asked for a better venue and staff team to make our day one for the books! Mount Vernon Canyon Club was fabulous!! We had our wedding in April, on the day of it snowed and I chose to continue with having the ceremony outside. The views did not disappoint. Our guests were all from out of state and could not stop talking about it! Also they raved about our food for the reception!! We worked with Barbara and the whole process was so easy, I had so much trust in the venue coordinators. It was the greatest experience ever and a memory my family and friends will cherish forever.

Being from out of town, searching for venues is a little tricky. We looked at over 100 and I knew when I saw Mount Vernon Canyon Club online, that it was the right place for us. We flew out and met with Nicole and confirmed my original suspicion. The view of the mountains off the deck was exactly what we were looking for . Nicole was amazing with everything leading up to the day of the wedding, even when we had to change the date. She was great day of as well. The staff was incredibly attentive and I have never felt so special! Thank you to Nicole and the team for making our day so memorable!

We had our wedding reception here just last month.. and I am still in awe of how amazing it was. As a bride, I was sooo anxious leading up to my wedding about how all the hard work I’ve done would be executed. Thankfully, I could not have been more at peace the day of our wedding. Barbara, and the entire team there are some of the kindest, most accommodating people in the industry. The views, food, service ALL beyond fabulous. So many guests commented that it was the single best wedding food they’ve ever had - or just best meal in general! We rented both rooms - upper level was dinner and lower level was cocktail hour and dance. It was perfect. We had passed apps : Caprese bites, Thai shrimp, and Kobe beef sliders.For meals we had : beef short ribs, chicken scaloppini, and risotto. Barbara you are a true God sent, and we will remember you for the rest of our lives - I truly don’t know how to summarize how amazing you are - thank you.

I had been dreaming of a wedding at Mount Vernon as long as I can remember. Nicole and the rest of the staff made that dream come true with ease! The process was smooth and stress free. The venue itself is breath taking as you picture yourself saying your vows on the side of a gorgeous mountain. The food is mouthwatering. Everyone is so kind and attentive. I would recommend this experience to any couple looking for an elegant and affordable venue. I wish I could go back and do it all over again.

Mount Vernon Canyon Club is amazing! Not only is the view great but the food we had at our reception is probably the best food I’ve had at a wedding…and I’ve been to a lot of weddings. The food was freshly prepared and beef melted in your mouth. Nicole worked with us as our event’s director and I cannot say enough good things about her! She went above and beyond to help us not only before but on our actual wedding day! She did everything from taking time to help blow up balloons for our exit, making sure everyone was lined up for the ceremony, to getting our plates for us at dinner. She made us feel so welcomed and like family by the end of the night. If I couldn’t find some one Nicole definitely could and would she was there best! The staff was so kind too! They even made us a plate and put it in the bridal suite for when we got hungry later I couldn’t say enough good things about everyone that worked there! From the bartender to the kitchen staff that would come out to check and make sure everything was okay, it was definitely a great experience with a very attentive staff. I highly recommend having your wedding or event here!

Mount Vernon Canyon Club is the most amazing venue. We had the best experience from the moment we walked in. It feels like a mountain lodge when you walk inside and it had the most beautiful views! It’s only 20-25 minutes from Denver which was perfect. Barbara Aguilar was the point of contact we worked with and she is absolutely fantastic! She was lovely to work with and gave us the tour of the venue and a folder with the breakdown of the packages, recommended vendors and was very responsive. She made the entire process was easy and smooth and between her and my day of coordinator I was truly relaxed and not worried about a thing! And throughout the year, and especially month of the wedding when we were updating guest count, table arrangements, food orders, coordinating with our vendors - she was a rockstar!The venue itself is gorgeous and the views you get are incredible - pictures don’t do it justice! We had our ceremony on the main deck and cocktail hour was indoor/outdoor. We were married on Sunday of Labor Day weekend and because the club is closed that day we also got to have the fireside lounge space which was an amazing bonus! While I know some people have an arch and flowers as ceremony decor, we opted to not have any because the views were stunning on their own. So if you want to save some money on decor, it’s an area of opportunity!The bridal party got ready in the board room and it has a deck with great views and great naturalLighting. You can also order breakfast/lunch, coffee/drinks/champagne to enjoy while getting ready. The food was also incredible. We had so much fun at the group tasting they organized and we received so many comments about how delicious it all was. Barbara made sure to have some of the appetizers we selected at our seats for dinner because we definitely were too busy and didn’t get them during cocktail hour! It was so thoughtful. We absolutely loved our experience with MVCC and highly recommend the venue, staff and service! We wish we could relive our day all over again.

Nicole let me wait up until the last possible minute to decide if we wanted to move everything inside and in the end, we choose to do so, but she didn't even bat an eye! She was totally prepared for either scenario which put my mind at ease.The food was amazing and our guests told us that it was probably some of the best they've ever had at a wedding. Nicole personally too the time to make up a plate for my husband and I, and if she hadn't done that, we probably wouldn't have eaten. The cake was delicious, but the design was VERY disappointing and looked nothing like what we asked for All in all, I would definitely Mt Vernon as a top wedding venue in Colorado

The venue is beautiful and easy to get to from the city. From the very beginning of organizing our wedding to after the event MVCC has seemingly cared about my event by reaching out and addressing any questions. They worked well with all the vendors I brought in to compliment what MVCC offered. We had a few special requests that were longtime family traditions that were welcomed. On the day of the wedding, our event coordinator was in constant communication. I never had the feeling she wasn't aware of what needed to be done. Guests stated the venue was beautiful and some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding.

We got married here on September 4, 2022. Nicole was absolutely amazing and helpful from the start of planning our wedding! She made everything go seamlessly and we couldn’t have asked for a better day or location for our wedding. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and the staff at the club were all wonderful, the food was incredible, and the Canyon room was perfect for our 75 guests. We had so many compliments on everything from our guests! Thank you for making our day so special!

We've worked with Nicole from day one and she has been absolutely amazing when it came to all of the questions, last minute changes, day of execution, and ensuring the entire thing happened without any issues.The venue is absolutely gorgeous - I highly suggest going to see it, photos do not do it justice. We had about 130 guests, all from out of state, say it was the most beautiful venue they've ever been to. The food was amazing and the portions were huge. We had the plated pan seared chicken and braised short rib, it all came out on time and hot! The service and staff were top notch and extremely professional - always checking in with guests, filling waters, serving champagne, and ensuring there was no / minimal line at the bar all night.I could not suggest Mount Vernon enough! It was a perfect day and we had so much fun!

My husband and I are so happy with our decision to get married at MVCC. We knew we wanted a venue that felt like it was in the mountains, but we also wanted it to be easily accessible to our guests coming from out of town, and MVCC fit that perfectly. From the time we inquired about the venue through the end of our wedding day, we felt that we were in great hands, despite planning our wedding from another state. We were very pleased with the inclusive package deals and large menu of choices for food, cake/desserts, and alcohol. The chef was also accommodating for dietary restrictions. There were only a few additional vendors (DJ, florist, photographer) we had to book because MVCC provides so much of what you need! We were able to reserve an additional room in the venue for getting ready, which had wonderful natural lighting for hair and makeup and a beautiful balcony for pictures. We worked with Barbara as our coordinator, and she was always helpful, professional, and warm. She was readily available for questions that came up throughout the planning process. She also did an amazing job running the show during our rehearsal and on our wedding day, which took a lot of stress off us. The staff on the day of our wedding were frequently checking in to ask if we needed anything and making sure we ate and drank throughout the night. Our guests have all been raving about how beautiful the views were, how good the food was, and how much fun they had. We had about 110 guests and were in the Mountain View room with the connecting patio. Our guests loved being able to use the patio throughout the night. We still can't believe how smoothly and perfectly our wedding day went, and the team at MVCC is largely to thank for that!

I had the best experience! My wedding was so much fun and everything went smoothly. Nicole, the Director, was beyond impressive. I can not say enough positive things about my experience. We stumbled upon Mount Vernon after looking to do a mountain destination wedding. Plenty of nerves trying to coordinate this from out of town and we had struck out at some other venues because of date conflicts and cost. As soon as we saw the first picture, our interests peaked. Looking at the prices we were starting to feel hopeful, and after speaking with Nicole we were convinced this was the venue for our wedding. She made us feel so comfortable through the planning process and was prompt and clear with her communications. Things changed with the initial planning, as they do with weddings, and she took everything in stride. Their whole staff was very nice and prompt, Angel the bartender was a huge hit with our guests, and Nicole could be seen running around in the background making sure everything went off seamlessly. They are all genuinely nice people in my experience. The food has to be mentioned because our guests are still talking about the pork chop and chicken. All of the appetizers were delicious and the late-night sliders are so worth it!We also went with their recommended photographer and DJ. We haven't seen the photos yet, but based on our initial interaction and sneak peek, they look to be a home run. Overall, Nicole and the program they run at Mount Vernon made it very straightforward, easy to consume and plan, and the actual wedding day went flawlessly. We even had a black bear show up to see what the party was about! Don't worry, you are a safe distance away from the wildlife. The venue is also beautiful. It certainly shows its age in some areas of the club, but it just adds to the character of the place. Even the drive up through the mountains adds an exciting feel to it. We rented the room with the large deck you see in the photos and, weather permitting, it's the route I'd recommend. Great access to photos, people loved being able to be out in the mountain air, and it made the whole area feel much larger than just the dining area. If there was one knock on the layout, it's that the Bride's room is a little small if you plan on having hair or makeup done. Not a problem for smaller weddings/wedding parties, but we did end up renting one of the conference rooms for a nominal fee for the day. If you are looking for some extra privacy or room, definitely ask about what other rooms are available for rent the day of. We were very happy we did this on the wedding day!We can't recommend Nicole and Mount Vernon enough to people. If you're looking for a place with beautiful views, a unique venue, great food, and a capable staff then look no further. Our wedding day was perfect.

We are so fortunate we were able to host our wedding at Mount Vernon in September 2021. We had originally planned for a June 2020 wedding and Nicole worked tirelessly with us to get a new date planned when the pandemic was in full-force. My husband and I do not live in Colorado and throughout the planning process, Nicole was prompt to respond to any and all questions we had. It made planning from a distance much less of a burden than I expected it to be. She also provided exceptional vendor requests for various inquiries I had regarding hair stylists in the area, shuttles, etc. We ended up having our ceremony on the Lower deck and our reception in the Canyon room. Our guests were awed by the incredible mountain views and we were so impressed with the hospitality of Nicole and the wait staff. I was really touched that the wait staff obliged with our requests to wear masks. That meant a lot for the comfort and safety of our guests. Also, when the shuttles were running behind, one of the wait staff politely came to the bridal suite to ask if I wanted to push the ceremony back a bit. I appreciated her coming to me and her comforting nature. Lastly, the wait staff were very on it with filling drinks, waters, and clearing plates. The food received rave reviews. We had oven roasted chicken, salmon, and vegetarian risotto as entree options. They took note of the guests with allergies and we heard nothing but positive affirmations of how delicious the food was.We truly cannot recommend Mount Vernon enough for your special day. It is by far one of the more affordable venues we looked at and the views were unbeatable. We thank Nicole and Mount Vernon for giving us the wedding of our dreams!EDIT: I wanted to add that the pictures our photographer took below the deck in the grassy area were out of a magazine. You cannot beat the picture locations available at this venue!

I could not have asked for a better place to get married. The scenery is enough where you don't need to worry too much about decorations and the venue is easy for everyone to access. When our guests call to reminisce about our day, the two things that are always mentioned is how delicious the food was and how hard-working Shannon was all night! Shannon has worked with us for over 2 years, making our Covid-postponement as easy as possible and being responsive to each question and email throughout the entire time. She was very detailed oriented during the rehearsal and kept our large family in line and prepared for the big day. Shannon went above and beyond the day of the wedding. She was setting up chairs for the ceremony, checking on me and my bridesmaids in the suite to make sure we had everything we needed, and she even helped set up the decorations - providing suggestions to make everything look even better than I could ever imagine. Considering it was my wedding day, my level of stress was as low as it could have been because I knew she was there to take care of everything and she would get it done! Shannon is truly the reason why everything went perfect on our wedding day and she will always hold a special spot in our memories when we look back on the day and how amazing everything was.

We absolutely loved Mount Vernon - we got married on the deck and had our reception in the Canyon Room. Shannon was a delight to work with, she went far above and beyond what I would have expected - on the night of our wedding our photobooth didn't show up and she went out and bought instant cameras and props so that our photobooth guestbook didn't look awkward. I highly recommend renting the upstairs board room for the girls to get ready in for more space and amazing pre-wedding photos. Our guests were blown away by the views and loved the ability to go out on the deck whenever they needed a dancing breather.

Nicole from the start was beyond amazing. She never went longer than 24hrs without a reply via email. The prices are more than reasonable. The venue is beautiful. We had a small and intimate ceremony and reception in the Canyon room. With COVID we were worried (like every 2020 bride) but Nicole informed is of the steps they (staff) are taking and what precautions were there for us as guests. There was NOT 1 thing that went wrong the whole day, it was perfect! The food was amazing, staff and service was beyond amazing. My brother got his drone stuck in a tree and one of the staff members helped by climbing a tree to help him get it down. The staff was attentive and made sure me and the groom ate and had drinks. You need to have your wedding at Mt Vernon Canyon Club if you want your day to go without a hitch.

We loved how easy Nicole was to work with and how she and the rest of the team made sure everything went perfectly. The outdoor deck overlooking the mountains and the intimacy of the Canyon Room for our 150 guests, who are still raving about the views/food/experience! We first worked with Mary, who was amazing, but then ended with Nicole as Mary ended up leaving MVCC. Nicole knew everything and more that we had been doing up until that point and didn't miss a beat. They all were very accommodating to all and we had the best day!

Shannon was our on-site coordinator, and she was incredibly helpful, organized, responsive, and friendly. We were quite thankful to use a venue that included on-site catering and bar service as this made the planning more simple for us. The catering and bar department worked with us to personalize our menu and drink offerings. The entire wedding day went quite smoothly, even when we delayed our ceremony by about 30 minutes due to the weather. We couldn't recommend Mount Vernon highly enough, and we're so thankful to have worked with them throughout the entire wedding planning process.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Mount Vernon Canyon Club. They were fantastic to work with throughout the whole process. Shannon was our on-site coordinator, and she was incredibly helpful, organized, responsive, and friendly. She often answered our questions within 1 day, and we could tell she really cared about making the day what we envisioned. The views from the venue are fantastic, and we got many compliments on the food, cake, and drinks. I highly recommend Mt. Vernon Canyon Club as a wedding venue! The views are absolutely spectacular. Our guests were in awe of the beauty of this setting. We worked very closely with Nicole Truex, Mt. Vernon Canyon Club event planner and she is amazing!Nicole exudes professionalism and calmness. She is a natural at event planning. One of Nicole’s many gifts is that she never made us feel rushed. She always took as much time as needed to answer our questions to our complete satisfaction. Nicole is unflappable. With her supervision over our wedding, Jim and I were able to relax. Everything just happened seamlessly. When the mother’s of our grandchildren and great niece asked if the children could eat before the ceremony, it happened. When I asked Nicole at the last minute if we could add two more place settings at a table, it happened. When asked if we could make some last minute credenza changes, Nicole just made it happen. It has been interesting as I have been reviewing some of the more casual wedding photos. Behind large groups of socializing friends and family, there almost hidden in the background is Nicole making sure our wedding cake was perfect. It was!The service was also amazing. During the cocktail hour, delicious hors d’oeuvres were served. The dinner was absolutely magnificent. Our families and friends are still talking about the menu two months later! Our guests with dietary needs and restrictions were served equally extraordinary meals. Our wedding cake was both beautiful and delicious. The champagne toast was wonderful. All of the beverage services were equally extraordinary. Everything just happened so smoothly. We attribute all aspects of this beautiful flowing event to being managed under the professionalism and talent of Nicole Truex.We are so grateful that Nicole Truex entered our lives and helped with the planning and execution of our magnificent wedding at Mt. We were so grateful to the staff at MVCC who were professional, extremely helpful, and very available throughout the planning process and the day itself. We had a wonderful time and know our family and friends did as well. The food was great, it all tasted excellent and was presented nicely. There was plenty of food and everyone seemed to get enough without running out of anything. The planning went very smoothly. Mary and Nicole were very available anytime we had questions about pieces of the planning. We didn't have a separate wedding planner, and with the organised advice and support MVCC provided, it was all very doable and didn't feel overwhelming. We would highly recommend MVCC for an event. Choosing MVCC for our wedding set the foundation for a wonderful and stress-free day (particularly helpful since we were planning from out of state). Would choose you guys again if we had to do it over!

The cake was great, we went with a very simple naked cake in a variety of flavors and received many compliments. Mary was so helpful and was quick to reply to any emails I had and was great the day of making sure everyone was happy and things went smoothly. From start to finish, Mt. Vernon provided professionalism and plenty of information. Pricing was upfront and accurate. Organizers, wait staff, chef and cake designer were able to accommodate the special dietary requests we had, so all our guests (whether vegan, gluten-free or non-dairy) were included in the meal. I was looking for a venue that could manage the ceremony, banquet, bar, and reception to ease stress on the Big Day. Everything was beyond what I hoped for. Staff was very accommodating to the few outside vendors I did use, and very accommodating to my wedding party (some of whom showed up unexpectedly VERY early! Staff let them in, gave them coffee, asked if they could help...). All staff made me feel that my day was special -- even though they do this every day. It did not feel \"every day\" to me because of their attention to detail, quick smiles, and extra touches. Payments were easy, well timed, accurate and reasonable. Guests loved the food more than they were expecting! My only suggestion would be for brides to consider the size and location of the upstairs \"bridal dressing room\" which is pretty small for any more than 2-3 women and is attached to the public restroom. I would (and have!) recommend Mt. Vernon to anyone for their wedding day.

Views! Value! Variety! This place has it all. After looking in the mountains for a place that had a \"mountain feel\" we decided to look a little closer to Denver and discovered Mount Vernon Country Club. Just 20 minutes from Denver, this place feels a world away. Driving up and seeing the outside, we knew this was the place. We were warmly greeted for our appointment the our the venue. We met with Mary C. and we knew instantly that she could handle anything that came her way. Our day was worry free, our guests had a blast. We decided to be bold and have a outdoor wedding and indoor brunch reception in the middle of February. Mary C. and the entire team and Mount Vernon Country Club impressed all of our 100+ guests with amazing service, delicious food, a beautiful venue and views that just can not be beat.

We wanted a mountain feel without having to leave too far out of town, and Mount Vernon truly delivered. Don't let the drive up fool you: from their expansive decks, you have amazing views of the (prettier) side of the foothills and mountain ranges. Our guests are still raving about the food and cake, and so are we! We honestly weren't expecting much from their catering department when we signed the contract (wedding food usually seems mediocre), but everything was beyond what we expected and then some. The chefs didn't have it easy with 3 entrees, kids meals, and vendor meals + passed hor d'oeuvres, but they delivered. Mary worked seemlessly with our hired wedding coordinator (Quintessential Events) and accommodated any random requests we threw her way (unity cocktail) in a timely and professional manner. Longest review ever, but they really were THAT good. I'm a harsh critic at times, so that says a lot.

We could not have asked for a more perfect venue. During our search for a ceremony and reception venue, we found Mt Vernon , and were able to visit quickly. Mary made us feel so at ease with her calm demeanor and knowledge. She was the ultimate professional through every step in the process. We booked the venue, and a few weeks later were invited to a food, cake, and bar tasting, which was beautifully done and well organized making our catering selection a cinch. As the date approached, Mary graciously and rapidly answered all our questions. We were so confident in the process. Mary and the staff worked well with our pastor on rehearsal day, letting our family get a glimpse of their professionalism. On wedding day, every single thing went perfectly. Mary and her staff were so helpful, offering to support in ways we hadn't even thought of. All of our guests raved about the food (we did the buffet), which isn't all that common with wedding food. Our cake tasted delicious, and two tiers were gluten free- all yummy. The deck overlooking the valley was gorgeous- we needed no decor outside as the mountains and wildlife took care of that for us. It also provided a pretty backdrop when the sun went down for guests wanting to take a break from dancing. Our guests were impressed, and we were over-the-moon with how everything turned out. We give Mary so much credit for executing our vision perfectly. Highly recommend for accommodating and professional staff, gorgeous views off the deck, simplicity in planning, and perfect execution of plans.

My husband and I joined MVCC in June 2016 including putting down a very large one-time membership fee. Within months, MVCC restructured their membership levels making our annual dues three times what we signed up for. Management was very rude and would not refund our membership fee (they did send us $300 which was a fraction of the amount.). This was a clear case of 'bait and switch'. I am in the process of taking them to small claims court. Do NOT become a member here. There are many other clubs who take their members' satisfaction into consideration and not just their money. Food is below average - nothing special. Buyer beware.

My wedding at Mount Vernon Country Club was picture perfect, the large deck was a beautiful place for our cermenoy. Overall they did a awesome job. The venue was gorgeous, with amazing views. The staff was attentive and made our day go very smoothly. I didn't have to worry about a thing! Leading up to the wedding, Mary and Nicole were very responsive and quick to address and questions and requests. I would definitely recommend MVCC for a place to hold your wedding, or any other special event.

We chose the Canyon Room at Mount Vernon Country Club for our October 2015 wedding mainly because of the incredible views. I wanted a Mountain themed wedding considering most of my guests were out of town and the views here definitely did not disappoint. \r\rThe food was very good and was at a very fair price. We were able to attend a wedding tasting event held months prior to the wedding to really get a feel for the food options we had. Many of the items made it onto our menu because of it.\r\rThe one thing that really frustrated me in the planning process was the communication problems the event staff faced. Many of our questions were answered incorrectly at first because the staff didn't bother to look at the notes or specific contract before replying to emails so their details were often times confused with another wedding. After struggling for awhile with them I was pretty nervous for the night of but the reception was not only beautifully run but turned out just how I had imagined it to be. The event staff may need to work on their communication skills when working with brides prior to the event but they were spot on when it came to the event itself. Everything was on schedule, clean and flowed beautifully.\r\rMy only advice would be to pay more attention to the drink maximums. There was no tally to show how many drinks were actually served throughout the night like many vendors do, instead they said we reached the max on everything which seemed a little unlikely. Aside from that the bartender packed up the bar starting at 10:30 and had to go back to the liquor cabinet when a drink was ordered around 11:00. We had the space until 12:00 with no indication previously that the bar would ever close during our time there.\r\rThe event staff waited on me and the groom hand and foot the night of which was refreshing. They catered to our every need and were one step ahead for the night. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Nicole was awesome and the whole staff took great care of us and our guests. Our wedding was over 2 years worth of planning and everyone at Mt Vernon was 100% amazing every step of the way. I can't say Thank you enough to Nicole and everyone who helped make our day perfect! Oh and the food and cake was fantastic! Another bonus for us was that they waive the room fee when you have your wedding on a Sunday and since half of our guests were traveling from out of state and taking Monday off anyway it really wasn't a problem so that saved us a nice chunk of change that we could spend on other things. Overall totally worth every penny!

Wedding food can get a bad rap but not here. (We got the plated service.)\rThe wedding cake was delicious and beautiful. It wasn't a huge priority for us, but they say they can do all sorts of styles, so that's handy to have your cake right at your venue.\rThe views of the mountains are spectacular.\rOnly one thing to note--they do several events a day, of the different floors. When my dad gave his speech, you could hear thumping music from another event downstairs. It didn't ruin things at all, in fact it probably bothered me more than anyone else.
