This venue was a nightmare. Positives: The venue itself is beautiful, the food was amazing and the price was reasonable...if you're willing to deal with the venue going back on their word about everything and having absolutely no clue what they are doing... Negatives: You will want to pull your hair out by the time you are done fighting the staff to uphold your contract details. Our venue event coordinator changed a minimum of three times between the two years we had booked the venue. Each time our amazing wedding planner Samatha Hall (who we absolutely loved and could not have made it through this without) would have to put in hours catching them up to speed. Per our contract, we were allowed to use their conference room to hold all of our decor and other items 24 hours prior to the wedding. We dropped all of our items off during our rehearsal and the manager locked the room for us. The morning of our wedding my Grandmother and Aunt went to the venue to meet my florist as a favor to me. At this time the front desk woman began to yell at my grandmother to remove all the boxes from their conference room as the members needed it to take their phone calls as they weren't allowed to take calls in the restaurant. When the newest venue event coordinator heard wind of this (who mind you started 2 weeks before our wedding but was on all of our email threads and had access to our contract) went to my grandmother and instead of helping her and backing her up, also told her we needed to remove everything. This room was also rented out for the groom and groomsmen to be in prior to the wedding and for my wedding planning team and vendors to use for the night. Once my wedding coordinator arrived and settled this dispute the venue then told her I would not be allowed to walk out on the turf in my heels...an hour before my ceremony started and I was already at the site with no other shoe option. When we first signed on we were told we could not have large speakers outside to walk down the aisle but they would allow us to have a small speaker but would need an acoustic player for cocktail hour. Amplified music would then be allowed again inside for dinner and dancing. About six months before the wedding, we were told we were allowed to ONLY have acoustic players for the ceremony and cocktail hour. With the help of Samantha again, we were able to get the venue to agree to have 3 songs played on the speaker during our ceremony. Day of the wedding my DJ arrived to set up and the venue told him that he was not allowed as we are not allowed to have ANY amplified music outside or inside the venue. Luckily again Samantha was able to fight for us to get our DJ approved for setup. We also had items get broken and go missing during cleanup as staff would not allow us to double-check the outside cocktail hour if we had left anything. These are just a few hiccups we had with this venue. We absolutely loved our wedding but without our wedding planner, this wedding would have been a complete headache. Weddings are stressful enough and having staff that have no clue what is going on nor what was agreed upon in their contracts is infuriating.

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our experience at MountainGate! Our wedding was 2 months ago and our friends and family are STILL talking about how beautiful everything was. We had both our ceremony and reception outside and wow was that the right decision! The pictures speak for themselves! We highly recommend having your special day here. We wish we could do ours all over again! In fact, we have already decided if we ever host another event, it has to be at MountainGate! Working with Meredith, the director, was such a pleasure. She answered all emails promptly and made sure that our vision of a perfect wedding could actually be a reality. The bride and groom have designated areas for getting dressed and ready. The women's locker room was really nice and spacious. Men were in the conference room and this door locked so important items could stay there during the night. We were so surprised at how much we were able to save with the special offer that was running at the time we booked the venue. We truly had the wedding of our dreams. We could not have picked a better place to have our wedding reception! Meredith and the staff at MountainGate are amazing! Meredith is super organized and responsive and walked us through everything we needed to know about the venue. The views of the mountains are breathtaking and the glass windows made the perfect backdrop for our sweetheart table. Our guests raved about the natural beauty of the location during the cocktail hour on the North Lawn. We also got the most amazing pictures with so many beautiful locations to get shots on the property. Meredith and her chef made sure that the food was exactly what we wanted and it was absolutely delicious. The staff at the event was professional and they did a great job. I can honestly say that my wedding day was everything that I hoped it would be and more. Thank you Meredith and the MountainGate team for everything!

My experience at MountainGate Country Club was exceptional! We had our wedding there last month, and it was a dream come true. Meredith is an absolute delight, and a total pro. She had great suggestions, and was super helpful and responsive. I knew I was in good hands with her. The venue itself is gorgeous! We had the wedding on the terrace, a perfect setting for a summer wedding. One of the few outdoor wedding venues in LA that could go till midnight. The food was delicious, and the wedding cake vendor options are great! The wedding packages all have a lot to offer, and you can add/remove to your liking. Also, MGCC has vendors they work with, so you can rent anything directly from MountainGate, and they'll facilitate everything with the outside vendor (i.e. charger plates, backdrops, linens, lounge seating, etc). Luckily, because the outdoor terrace is so beautiful on its own, it requires little decor and lighting. From the ceremony site, to the cocktail area, to the terrace, everything flowed so easily and seamlessly (many guests commented on how everything flowed so perfectly from area to area). I cannot say enough good things about MGCC, you will not be disappointed.

If you are looking for a wedding venue in Los Angeles, stop right now and contact Meredith at Mountain Gate Country Club this moment. I found out about Mountain Gate on this website and it was our very first venue we toured. The beautiful lush green golf course took away my breath and the elegant interior of the club house was another plus. We knew we wanted an outside garden-like wedding (without going full-garden) with strung lights, and Mountain Gate's patio is exactly that! But aside from the looks and the elegance of this location, what made our wedding an A++ seamless experience was the impeccable service of the professional staff at MGCC. From the bar tender, servers, set up crew, to our venue rep, Meredith, every single person worked 100% to make sure our special day was perfection. I have never met someone as organized, prompt, and easy to work with as Meredith. I don't think I've ever waited on an email from her for more than 5 hours (and trust me we have about 100+ emails back and forth over the year of wedding planning). She is so friendly and down-to-earth, but also the most organized detail-oriented venue rep EVER. We had so many DIY moving parts to our wedding, and she was willing to work with us to make sure everything was perfect. She also let us do a tasting before we booked the venue because good quality food was our #1 priority. Three words. Mashed potato and chicken. All of our guests told us that the food was the BEST wedding dinner they had ever eaten as a guest. And all of this for an extremely affordable price!! I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you MGCC for the best day of my life.

Our wedding at MountainGate was absolutely magical! All our guests were raving about the beautiful location and scenery. Our sunset photos in the mountains were also breathtaking thanks to the venue. We had our reception outside, and the lights and lanterns at night were gorgeous. The food was also very delicious. Be prepared for the real deal when you go for a tasting! Meredith was our event coordinator and she was so helpful. We had to add extra people last minute, and she did it so graciously and professionally. We couldn't have had a better team at MountainGate! As soon as we came across the venue while searching online, we knew it would be perfect for us! We loved the natural beauty of MountainGate; the scenery is breathtaking. It was easy for us to take a minimalist approach to decoration since the venue is so striking all on its own, and paired with the available lighting options created an ethereal backdrop for the ceremony and reception. We planned our wedding from our home in Vancouver, and from start to finish Meredith was always available for any questions we had. In coordination with our wedding planner, Meredith made sure everything was absolutely perfect and the entire evening ran smoothly. The day was pure magic; a dream come true! Thank you again!

I had an engagement party for my daughter a couple of weeks ago at the MountainGate Country Club. Meredith Anderson, the private event director was great. She is so knowledgeable and made everything go smoothly from the first meeting to the night of the event. I had some last minute changes that she took care of without making me feel guilty. The food is excellent and service superior. You will not regret having your special event here. Of course the atmosphere and view are beautiful.

I found MountainGate after searching for venues that would allow for outside catering options and it turned out to be the perfect choice for many reasons beyond just the food situation. I worked with both Jacquelyn and Meredith and they were both incredibly responsive and helpful through the planning process, which was especially important as I am from out of state so basically did all the planning via email and phone. The venue itself is beautiful and our guests couldn't stop raving about what a unique experience it was to be able to have the entire event outside. This is a hidden gem among the LA wedding venues and I would highly recommend to anyone!

Not only did we find our venue, we found the most incredible design team for our overall romantic vintage theme in LUNA Gardens. Their artistry coupled with the venue made it the most gorgeous event we could ever imagined (thank you Ricardo & Sergio!). We were so pleased with every little magical detail and especially all of the staff. Meredith and Jacquelyn are two of the most professional, caring and detailed women I have ever worked with. They were always available to us for everything we needed and wanted. There was not one single problem along the way. What an absolute pleasure!! I will actually miss talking to them on a regular basis. I, along with my new wife, our families and friends simply could not be more pleased with MountainGate for our wedding!! Best hidden gem in Los Angeles. A lush, beautiful, surprisingly affordable venue tucked away in the hills behind The Getty. We had an outdoor sunset ceremony and indoor reception for about 90 people, and the spaces were perfect, intimate and romantic. Meredith and Jacquelyn are AMAZING, they made the entire wedding planning process smooth and (dare I say it) fun. Their secret? They actually CARE about their customers. We visited other venues where we felt like a number (hello, Oviatt), but not at MountainGate. Meredith and Jacquelyn are so friendly, detail-oriented, flexible, and organized. The day of our wedding I didn't have to worry about a thing bc Meredith was all over it. Our guests had a fantastic time and partied 'til midnight, and no one could believe we found such a great place right in the heart of LA (instead of having to drive an hour out of the city). Amazing staff, easy parking, great vendor recommendations. Would highly, highly recommend.

Best hidden gem in Los Angeles. A lush, beautiful, surprisingly affordable venue tucked away in the hills behind The Getty. We had an outdoor sunset ceremony and indoor reception for about 90 people, and the spaces were perfect, intimate and romantic. Meredith and Jacquelyn are AMAZING, they made the entire wedding planning process smooth and (dare I say it) fun. Their secret? They actually CARE about their customers. We visited other venues where we felt like a number (hello, Oviatt), but not at MountainGate. Meredith and Jacquelyn are so friendly, detail-oriented, flexible, and organized. The day of our wedding I didn't have to worry about a thing bc Meredith was all over it. Our guests had a fantastic time and partied 'til midnight, and no one could believe we found such a great place right in the heart of LA (instead of having to drive an hour out of the city). Amazing staff, easy parking, great vendor recommendations. Would highly, highly recommend.

We're so happy that we decided to go with Mountaingate for our wedding! We live in SF and were looking for a venue that included a lot of things like catering and furniture to ease some of the planning. The service at Mountaingate through Jacquelyn and Meredith was superb - they were very responsive throughout the entire process and helpful in accommodating changes along the way. The mountains and the greens provided a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, particularly as the sun was setting. The courtyard area was the perfect size for our guest count. It felt intimate. The tea lights and chandeliers we chose looked so amazing at night time. Our guests all kept saying how beautiful the wedding looked.The only two small things that we thought could've been better were the flexibility with when we could arrive at the venue due to golfers and a complaint we heard about how the wait staff treated the children during reception. Looking back after the wedding, Mountaingate worked out so well and we couldn't be more thankful!

Meredith was very helpful and organized in helping us prepare for our wedding reception! Meredith's previous experience as a wedding planner was very helpful for sorting out our wedding reception details. The wedding planning process was structured to keep us on track (many options for a customizable event package) and the facility has rules in place to keep the venue in top condition. Some of the requirements were to have a Day of Coordinator, select from three preferred wedding cake bakeries - Jaqki Cakes, the baker we chose arranges the tiered wedding cake onsite so there were no issues with the cake sliding on the drive up the huge hill, there is a midnight sound cutoff, they allow sparklers but must DIY, and the golf course photo access was strict, as was a strict clean up policy - we had to have everything cleared out that night/ early morning after the wedding. The catering staff were also very attentive to a few of our guests who had special allergies and Meredith especially was very attentive and followed up on each of our special requests. MountainGate has a great relationship with a variety of recommended vendors and had no problem coordinating with vendors we selected on our own. The only feedback we received was from our coordinator who was delayed in setting up as they were showing the venue space the afternoon of our wedding to prospective clients. Overall, we had an amazing wedding experience at MountainGate and the value was in the staff experience in hosting large celebrations. Our guests loved the views from MountainGate and the memorable summer dining and dancing under the lights, which made for a lovely California wedding celebration!

I know every bride and groom says this but our wedding was the BEST DAY EVER!! We couldn't have pulled it off without Meredith; she is godsend. My then fiance and I booked the venue on the spot because we not only loved the venue but because we knew we were in good hands with Meredith. She is kind, warm, thorough, punctual, hardworking, and so many other positive adjectives. I literally emailed her every week asking random questions and she never failed me! The week of my wedding I read that it was going to rain (luckily the sun came out the day of so we ended up having it outside) and it was devastating! I was stressed out but Meredith was calming and drew up different indoor floor plans making it a smooth(er) transition. Like I said, she's seriously the best and Mountaingate is lucky to have her! Thank you Mountaingate for having the best event manager and a wonderful venue!

I cannot speak highly enough about MountainGate Country Club. This venue is classic! It's the perfect blend of classy, chic, romantic setting and is truly a gem! The staff is incredible. Jacquelyn King, the Private Events Director, goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy. She is so great and loves what she does. You feel safe and taken care of when making some of the biggest decisions of your life. Honestly, without Jacquelyn, our wedding would not have been SO amazing. She is so detail oriented and thinks of everything. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and is extremely great at what she does. My husband and I were not fully prepared for planning a wedding, it was our first time haha, but Jacquelyn and MountainGate were beyond helpful, every step of the way! The day of our wedding Hiram Torres was our go to man. He made sure everything was perfect and ran smoothly. All of our guests were beyond happy with every single thing at our wedding. Hiram made sure that there were no issues throughout the day. He is the food and beverages manager, but honestly was our super hero the day of! He had eyes everywhere and managed his team so well! All thanks to MountainGate Country Club, my husband and I had the MOST amazing wedding ever! All of our family and friends could not stop talking about how perfect every single detail was. The venue is a huge part of throwing a successful event and we can honestly say that there is nowhere else we would have thrown our wedding because of the amazing service we received from the day we walked into MountainGate. MountainGate is such a GORGEOUS venue! I had my April wedding here, as well as my rehearsal brunch, and everything was top notch! Jacquelyn was our event coordinator, and is superb and very experienced! She made the entire wedding planning process so painless and smooth--we were able to plan a 250 guest wedding (initially I thought over 300 would RSVP) in UNDER 5 months! Jacquelyn was flexible, responsive to inquiries and changes, and extremely organized. She also made sure that all minor details were customized and taken care of for both the wedding and the brunch, and provided suggestions to make sure our parents were comfortable and traditions not forgotten. The MountainGate packages were so convenient and there are incentives and deals if you sign up for the email list or follow them on social medi. The gold package had everything that I was looking for, including chivari chairs, expansive linen options, indoor and outdoor set-up, cake, champagne toasts, day-of coordinator, wait staff, valet, and most importantly for my guests--higher end liquor options! The entree options were also delicious, we got lamb and beef short rib (guests didn't even care we didn't go with traditional fish and red meat options because food is that good!!). MountainGate also allowed us to choose our own vendors for floral, DJ/entertainment, photographers, photo booth, etc. And there are add-on options, including fruit, cheese and champagne for the bridal party upon arrival to the venue, and late night snacks towards the end of the evening (we got taco bar).A very important aspect of the events was to make sure our parents were comfortable, and Jacquelyn helped us coordinate our rehearsal brunch to make a lasting first impression before the actual wedding date. I appreciated all the details and service for the brunch set-up, which included fresh fruits and baked goods, made-to-order omelette bar, and other hot food options. This first impression made everyone including our bridal party excited about the actual wedding day. Jacquelyn and the MountainGate team strived to make our events seamless and perfect. There was a chance of bad weather and the team mobilized quickly to make adjustments. I highly recommend hosting events here if you're looking to wow your guests!!

She has excellent customer service, she's well organized, always got back to us very quickly, very friendly and she made the planning process so easy! She has past experience as a vendor for weddings so she was very helpful with suggestions for us. Everything looked amazing on our wedding day! If you're looking for a garden/outdoor reception they have a great outdoor terrace with gorgeous views. Everyone complimented us on the food, the beautiful view and the decor. She did not miss a detail through the entire planning process. She had fabulous suggestions for me in terms of decorations/furnishings, food, timing of event, etc. Whenever I sent her an email, I could always count on a return email right away. The venue was spectacular with the golf course as our backdrop and the lanterns and twinkle lights over our heads. It was a magical evening. In addition, the food was very good! I would recommend Mountaingate Country Club to anyone planning an outdoor event!

A little over a week ago, I had the pleasure to work at Mountaingate for a day-of-coordination job for a bride with a beautiful vision-- Her dream was to have an outdoor wedding with a whimsical garden-esque, rustic vibe with Edison lights hanging all across the terrace, and this was the place to make it happen. \r\rSadly, this particular day in July turned out to be an awfully wet one-- Around 2pm, the Mountaingate team decided it would be a safety hazard to do the wedding outside as it was pouring and everything from the guests to the cables would be drenched, even after we got a tent installed!\r\rAt this point, everyone from the receptionist all the way to the event director were all hands on deck and literally busted their butts off to bring the wedding inside. Everyone was so helpful and had a can-do attitude to make sure this wedding wasn't going to be cancelled. The ceremony was relocated, the tables rearranged, and setup was complete right on time! It looked beautiful and none of the guests could tell there were any issues behind the scenes.\r\rAlthough I didn't have direct experience with the planning process, I can vouch that the day of your wedding at Mountaingate will be wonderful!\r\r

My hubby and I were just married at MountainGate a week ago, and we can't say enough good things about them. I'll tell you that it started off really great, got a little shaky about a year out, but then Jazmin came on and took control. I was starting to get really worried, but Jazmin quickly put my mind at ease and not only worked with me to get my wedding back to where I wanted it to be, she went above and beyond to make sure every expectation was surpassed. \r\rAs a venue, we held our ceremony and reception there, as well as held a cocktail hour prior to the ceremony. So we utilized the indoor dining area for cocktail hour, the tee for our ceremony, and the patio for the reception. Every aspect was perfect and beautiful, and honestly needs very little decoration because the location speaks for itself. The food was amazing, the staff....every one of them....was nice and on-top-of-t, the prices are really great (especially for LA) and on our big day, I can honestly say I wasn't the slightest bit worried, because I knew everything had been taken care of. It was just time to enjoy ALL of our hard work!\r\rOur only regret was that we wish we had booked MountainGate longer. We had such an amazing time that we didn't want to leave!! Hello Brides to be. Like you all I was very excited about my wedding day &when I saw MountainGate Country Club, it seemed like a dream come true! And it was, except for the Event Coordinator Jazmin who was the source for every single bit of stress associated with my wedding and almost succeeded in making my big day a total disaster. I must say that if it weren't for Jazmin, I would be giving this Venue 4 or 5 stars in my review, but because this rude, spiteful and incompetent lady was so central to the success or failure of my wedding, its hard to say anything positive about the experience. I will say that the General Manager of the entire club, Jeremy, had to step in & save the day...& because of his efforts, my big day did indeed go off without a hitch. However, I would NOT recommend any bride having to go through what I did with Jazmin and in my humble opinion, unless she is released from her duties here I would recommend to steer clear in lieu of a more peaceful and organized experience. Weddings are stressful enough without the person in charge fighting you on every issue along the way. I highly recommend going to a place where the coordinator has it together & isnt a frazzled mess, though its a shame because the venue itself is a real beauty & an otherwise Gem.\rHere are some examples of my troubles w/ Jazmin leading up to my big day: The 1st fight was about my Ceremony location. Jazmin was willing to let me walk & find another venue altogether than to suggest a place on the club ground that would accommodate a longer than average flower set up. She literally told me that if the 1 hour set up they had scheduled wouldnt work, that it was best for me to go somewhere else. I really couldnt believe my ears & was naturally upset. I then brought up the suggestion that maybe I could use the North Lawn for my Ceremony, another pretty & grassy spot just like the 9th Hole, which is where most people get married here. She then agreed & the issue was over..but really!? She, the coordinator, couldnt come up with the simple solution of moving our wedding site to a different spot that didnt interfere with the golfers since we needed more set up time? Also, she didnt explain that only real flowers were allowed until after we had already bought 3000 fake ones, & said a deer might eat them on our aisle way (in the 1 hr we had them there for the processional walk?) But ok, we returned everything & order hundreds more dollars of real ones from our florist. Things like this should be mentioned in the contract, but its a little thing, so ok. Also, she switched our wedding rehearsal time on all our guests after we had already sent out all the invites, she was 3 weeks late sending us our final contract to sign & pay the remainder, & by the time she sent the contract it was within the week of & was due BEFORE she even sent it to us. And when we confronted her about the contract we had been bugging her to send out for weeks, she said \"Oh, just sign it, contract dates & certain points dont matter anyway.\" Really! Because when we did have disputes, & believe me there were MANY! she would refer back to the written word as the letter of the law. She was also MIA the 6 days leading up to our wedding & tho we tried over & over to reach her, we simply could not. We finally had to go over her head to Jeremy who thankfully personally oversaw our wedding. But Please Brides BEWARE! Do NOT book here if Jazmin is still around! Id write 50 more examples but no more room

Every step in working with Mountaingate Country Club was an absolute dream. Bridget is incredible- so organized and personable and truly wants to make her brides happy and will do everything she can to make it a perfect day. We had a very large wedding, about 300 guests, and were initially concerned about it feeling a bit crammed, however the ambiance and space at Mountaingate was absolutely perfect. We did our cocktail hour inside the banquet room, our ceremony outside on the 10th tee, and our reception on the outside terrace. It was so absolutely beautiful and all of our guests told us how gorgeous the outdoor space was, and how it truly made a very big wedding feel so much more intimate and personal. My husband and I look back at our special day and we are so thankful for that perfectly gorgeous venue.

The people working there were wonderful and worked closely with us. I was first stunned by their beautiful landscape since it reminded me of Northern California. I really wanted some place that resembled my hometown since we were getting married in Southern California. At first the reception location didn't impress me, however they have two bridal shows a year where they set it up as an actual wedding and boy was I shocked at how awesome it looked. I'm so very happy we picked MountainGate and I wouldn't have changed it!! :)

Mountaingate is amazing. What can I say? My wife and I looked at over 20 different venues and Mountaingate was the ONLY one that felt perfect. We had our ceremony outside on the 10th Tee, Cocktail Hour on the outdoor patio, and reception in the dining hall.\r\r\rThe staff is so great. Bridget and Charlene did a fantastic job of making everything come together. This place is flexible flexible flexible! Gorgeous views, elegant architecture, delicious food (customizable menu!), friendly staff, how can you go wrong!?

Mountaingate is amazing. What can I say? My wife and I looked at over 20 different venues and Mountaingate was the ONLY one that felt perfect. We had our ceremony outside on the 10th Tee, Cocktail Hour on the outdoor patio, and reception in the dining hall.\r\r\rThe staff is so great. Bridget and Charlene did a fantastic job of making everything come together. This place is flexible flexible flexible!
