Mountain Park HOA's main attraction when it comes to wedding celebrations is The Hawthorn Room. This stylish location features a dance floor, grand piano, gas fireplace, vaulted ceiling, skylights, floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, and a private deck. The Hawthorn Room can accommodate 150 guests for a cocktail hour, wedding ceremony, or reception. The versatile nature of this setting will allow your wedding decor and theme to really stand out wonderfully. Not to mention, there are serene and beautiful grounds to explore, which will make for some awe-inspiring wedding pictures. The Mountain Park HOA facility is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible, allowing for maximum comfort. Their dedicated team will provide the room set up per your floor plan. My son got married on 9/5/15.\rFriday night we were supposed to have the venue from 5pm-7pm to set up the decorations and have a rehearsal. When the guests arrived, we were stopped at the door telling us we could not bring anything inside the venue. We were informed that the lady that set up all the details of the wedding was on vacation and she didn't leave any details of the wedding so we couldn't go in. After talking with them for 45 minutes, they finally allowed it, which only gave us a little over an hour to decorate and rehearse. Not to mention, they were just plain rude. \rThen the next day we show up to start getting ready and our caterer showed up shortly after. The caterer, RIP City Grill, is a food cart and we were told that he would be able to set the food cart up at the venue so he could cook live for everybody and cook to order. The lady at the the front desk told us he was not going to be allowed to bring the food cart up. We asked if he could just cook in the parking lot and then bring the food up to the venue. She said no. We asked her what she would allow. She said he could park behind the building (really far away from the venue), cook out there, and then bring all the food in. She also mentioned that the only way for him to get in is through an employee door and she wouldn't give him a key so somebody was going to have to stand and hold the door open so they could make all their trips up and down to get to the venue. We told her that we felt that was really extreme, especially because we already got permission for him to cook She told us that it was ridiculous that we thought people in their company shouldn't be allowed to go on vacation or have babies and that they should just spend all their time catering to the event. It was very clear that there was NO way she was going to compromise at all so the catering part of the wedding was ruined. The worst part is that my daughter-in-law was just about to put her dress on when she got a call from my son because the lady at the front desk said she needed to send the emails from the lady that set it up showing that she was going to allow them to use the food cart. So she had to stop putting her dress on, and send all the emails. That is not a moment she will ever be able to get back. \rOnce the wedding started, there was a security guard that kept coming in and out of the venue. At one point, he took a large plate of food (steak only) and he was also taking beers from people, even though they were standing in the area outside that they were allowed to drink in. I don't want to assume, but I'm sure he was taking them for himself. \r\rMy daughter-in-law sent an email to the person that she set everything up with and now she won't respond.\r\rThis place was terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a great and very easy place to have my son and daughter-in-law's wedding reception! All of the employees were so helpful and professional. The Lodge is a beautiful setting to let you add your personal touches. Parking was easy. The kitchen was so helpful to have attached to the Lodge. The balconys were nice to have for people to cool down and take a break. Everyone had a wonderful time!!!

This was a great and very easy place to have my son and daughter-in-law's wedding reception! All of the employees were so helpful and professional. The Lodge is a beautiful setting to let you add your personal touches. Parking was easy. The kitchen was so helpful to have attached to the Lodge. The balconys were nice to have for people to cool down and take a break. Everyone had a wonderful time!!!

We were rushed and had to maneuver around a piano that was set up for a recital that had been booked at the venue weeks before, when we already set up the day and time for our rehearsal. I was disappointed and honestly that was the most stressful part of my entire wedding experience. \rThe only other small issue we had was renting the heaters for our outside cocktail hour. We paid extra for the heaters and they never worked. We found out later, that the propane tanks were empty. We asked to rent them 6 months before. \rParking was an issue. More curbs were marked off as \"no parking\" from the time I rented to the venue to the actual ceremony. A tow truck was called during the ceremony to haul cars away so that stalled things a bit. \rOverall, for the price and the ambiance for a winter wedding, it was wonderful! We were even allowed to bring a few things the day before and store them in the kitchen. It saved a lot of work moving things the day of. If you are looking for a romantic, cozy, lodge setting, this is PERFECT! Make sure you communicate clearly exactly what you want and ask questions about where your guests will park.

I just wanted to let you know that I was so happy that I chose the Mountain Park Venue for our very special event. I wanted to personally thank Melissa Browning,and her crew, for the love and concern she showed with the recent passing of my father in law. She made a very difficult time in our lives much more bearable with her professionalism and great customer service. As I told Melissa I plan on holding many more events in the future at your wonderful venue. I work in a similar industry and I have to say that I am very impressed with the service beyond expectations that we received. Kudos to the Mt. Park event team for a job well done.

\rWe were so overwhelmed with touring venues that once we walked in it was amazing. This venue is beautiful. From the minute we walked in we were welcomed with open arms and smiles. Melissa helped facilitate our rental for our wedding and she was so helpful with suggestions, and so easy going, she made the whole process so pleasant. We had wanted to find a place to customize to our style with lights candles and catering. To our surprise it was very affordable and the layout allows for an \"all-in-one\" wedding! We can have 60+ people in one room for the ceremony, reception, dinner, and dancing, with plenty of room to spare. But whether you wedding is big or small you can move the room around to your liking, even add a baby grand piano. This room has high ceilings, with a floor to ceiling windows and a large fireplace. Its truly the perfect place to make your wedding as unique and special as you want without any problems or concerns. The even have a children's daycare room where kids can play during the wedding just outside the reception door, which you can staff yourself for the evening. The bride's room is huge and very accomodating as well. \rWe are so thankful to have found Melissa and this amazing place.\r

The Lodge at Mt. Park is beyond what they say. This place is amazing. The location is perfect for anybody, the staff is wonderful, and most of all, the room. I love the fact that it is so open and you can do ANYTHING with it. It is the perfect blank canvas for your special day. I would recommend this location to anybody that is planning their wedding - or any large event.

The Hawthorn Room at Mountain Park is beautiful even without decorations. The super-high, open wood-beam ceiling is stunning, and the room features a grand piano and functional fireplace (which they'll light for you if you want). The grounds offer several locations for photos with lovely flowers and green spaces. \r\rVicente, the events manager, checked in on us frequently throughout the morning when we were setting up, and Ashley at the front desk made sure everything ran smoothly during the evening ceremony (she even reattached my veil for me!).\r\rThe room is so large that we were able to have our ceremony and reception in the same room, and to have the reception tables and ceremony chairs (for 80 people) set up at the same time. We moved the portable bar to the balcony, which was perfect on our unusually warm 80-degree May evening.\r\rThis was a DIY wedding, so we wanted a beautiful venue where we could bring in our own food, alcohol, and bartender. There are not many venues in Portland where you can do all that yourself, except for church basements and community centers. Mountain Park provides tables, chairs (new and good enough to not need covers), a kitchen with commercial fridge and ice maker, a dance floor, and setup of tables and chairs at no extra cost. You can plug your iPod into their Bose sound system for $95.\r\rWe could not have been happier with our experience at Mountain Park. HIghly recommended!

I attended a wedding and reception here-it was a beautiful space with nature all around, great views and sunshine streaming through the magnificent windows. I highly recommend! It felt like a rustic lodge in the wildnerness but is actually right in a metro area.
