Historic event space serving Indianapolis
Our mission is simple: create a one-of-a-kind backdrop, bring people together, celebrate love and have the best time doing it. Our Spaces Designed for function and beauty, each space of our property will meet your wedding day needs and provide a stunning backdrop for every moment of your big day. The Farmhouse is used as a gathering space for wedding parties and families before the "I do's." The farmhouse features spacious getting ready rooms and a functional kitchen. Our outdoor ceremony site is framed by hundred-year-old maple and pine trees and blooming flowers. The outdoor area includes space for a patio cocktail hour and lawn reception. If you’ve been dreaming of an indoor reception, you can dine and dance in the Barn. Its high-vaulted ceilings and original hardwood floors are complemented by a modern exterior. Each space is heated and air-conditioned. Patio heaters and a fireplace are also available for outdoor celebrations. Our venue comfortably accommodates 200 guests.

Mustard Seed Gardens made our fairytale fall wedding a dream come true. When touring, we loved that everything was on site, so there was no additional travel involved for us or our guests. It was so nice to have our romantic outdoor fall ceremony followed by the warm, rustic, historic vibes of the barn. Our coordinator, Tristen, was phenomenal! All communication (via email, text, phone, and in-person) was prompt and sufficient. Our two planning meetings with Tristen were somehow two of the least stressful days in the entire process. As we know, there are soooo many decisions to be made when planning a wedding, and when we needed help ironing out details, Tristen offered up helpful advice and solutions to help match our vision while leaving all final decisions up to us. I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed a couple hours before the ceremony as we were trying to fit in all of our photos (in crazy wind I might add!), and seeing Tristen made me feel more calm immediately. It was great to have someone to take control of everything, as MSG is so hands-on with setup, decor, communicating with outside vendors and the bar, so when you walk into your reception, you're able to admire everything you've planned without having to do any of the setup yourself, which I know is a huge relief to family members who are used to countless hours of steaming tablecloths/setting up before the wedding. The team at Mustard Seed Gardens truly does take care of every last detail, so you can focus on the most important part of your day- getting married to the love of your life! <3

We got married at Mustard Seed Gardens this September and cannot imagine it being anywhere else! We met with Tristen twice in person to go over details and she was always great at explaining things and answering any questions we may have had. The day of the wedding went very smoothly and we are so grateful we were able to enjoy our day with no worries. Mustard Seed is the most beautiful venue and we are so happy we picked it for our special day!

Mustard Seed Gardens was the first venue we toured and also the last because we fell in love with it right away. This place is just pure magic. To start, the staff is terrific. From the owners to the coordinators, bartenders, and set-up staff, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had Bethany as our wedding coordinator and she was a joy to work with. From the very beginning of the planning process, she made sure every little thing was on point, and her professionalism and genuine care made our day go off without a hitch. We couldn't have asked for a better partner in making our wedding perfect and stress-free. Now, onto the place itself – the barn, the farmhouse, and the whole property are just breathtaking. The girls had a blast getting ready in the charming farmhouse, and the guys thought the grooms' room under the barn was the coolest thing. We had the ceremony under the canopy lights in the garden, the cocktail hour on the patio, and the reception in the barn. It was great to have everything in the same place, and there is so much you can do with the space. MSG also has a large inventory of items you can rent, which made adding extra details so easy. The lounge set and photo booth were both a huge hit with our guests. Our families and friends are still talking about how gorgeous everything was and how blown away they were by this place. The entire night was absolutely flawless, and I cannot express in words how truly remarkable both the venue and their team were.

We knew from when we met Tristan that she was the one we wanted to work with! Her warm and fun personality made the process of wedding planning enjoyable and easy. Mustard Seed was the perfect venue for us, we took advantage of the full day access option and both groomsmen and bridesmaids had their respective place to party before the ceremony. Our guests raved about the ceremony setup, the beautifully renovated barn, and photobooth in the cocktail space (a must have in our opinion!). If you want a romantic, welcoming, and beautiful place for your wedding, Mustard seed is the place to go!

Mustard Seed Gardens was an absolutely stunning venue. From the moment I stepped on the property I knew it was the location that I would get married. Not only are the grounds beautiful but the house on the property was such a special and cozy vibe to get ready in and hang out with the bridal party the day of. Mustard Seed also was able to work with me to create my ideal vision of an all outdoor wedding. Underneath the canopy of lights we held an extra special outdoor reception. It was my dream to have an elevated \"backyard wedding\" feel. With 200 guests MSG made that dream come to life. On top of all of this, I could not have asked for a better staff to work with. Tristen, my coordinator, was there along the way to ask any questions that I had and also ask me the questions that I otherwise would have forgotten about/missed. She answered my many many emails thoroughly and was there every step of the way with a smile on her face. The day truly came together because of her. And the day of-I was truly SHOCKED at how smoothly everything went. Walking into the venue the morning of can be extremely overwhelming with all of your supplies/decors and knowing your vendors will be in and out all day doing 1,000 things. I can honestly say that I stayed in the house, got ready, snacked and had champagne without having to worry about 1 thing. The staff at MSG handled any and all vendors, set up all of the supplies/decor we brought and handled any bumps that may have come up (although I dont know of any because they kept me out of it). I truly felt relaxed, secure and happy getting ready in the house all day. The staff then kept me calm as I was about to walk down the aisle. After that moment the evening was pure bliss and was executed PERFECTLY. I had so many guests come up to me not only complimenting how stunning the venue was but also how smooth everything was ran. My dream wedding vision (although probably challenging) was brought to life without hesitation thanks to Mustard Seed. THANK YOU to Mustard Seed for everything. Choosing MSG as our wedding venue was the easiest and best decision we made throughout our entire planning process. From our first meeting and to the day of, the venue staff were very friendly, kind, and just as excited for our wedding day as we were! Any questions we encountered they were always a quick email away with a timely response. The planning meetings were a game-changer for us as we really felt like all of our questions about what the day would look like were answered, and we really felt confident that MSG was going to do everything in their power to make our day exactly what we wanted. Throughout the entire rehearsal and wedding day, they worked as a team, listening to our vision for the venue, and working tirelessly to bring our ideas to life! They supported us the whole day when we needed anything, even bringing us drinks right after the ceremony and at dinner! It was a true relief to have a venue that took care of the set-up and clean-up; we both recounted that we truly felt zero stress on the day of the wedding, they had everything under control! Looking back at our pictures we are also overwhelmed by the beauty of the venue, every detail is so beautiful and created the perfect background for our wedding day! We truly cannot recommend MSG enough!

The most perfect day EVER - coordinated by my AMAZING Mustard Seed Coordinator, Tristen! She helped make my day exactly what I wanted and it was exactly that! The venue itself was amazing and exactly what we wanted and needed size, esthetics, and functionality wise. Additionally, the grounds crew made the outdoor space amazing and so so beautiful. I can’t speak highly enough of MSG and their amazing staff that has made my wedding day perfect and a day I will never forget! They were so easy to work with, amazing communicators (so emailed Tristen with soooo many random questions and she was so great with getting back to me quickly!), and took so much off my plate, making my wedding planning process smooth and seamless, with little to no stress on my end. Tristen took care of everything and it was so nice to just enjoy my day instead of stress about little details! This is the BEST venue and staff in Indy!

We had the fall wedding of our dreams at Mustard Seed! The property is so beautiful and our photos were amazing. We had a little rain on our wedding day and they had clear umbrellas that we were able to use. They have a list of caterers and DJs we had to choose from. It helped us narrow down our search and each one of those vendors were great as well. MSG is always looking for ways to improve the venue as well. Between when we booked and our wedding day they painted the barn and added windows that provided to much natural light into the barn. Tristen was our coordinator and I cannot say enough great things about her! She was always so responsive to emails and always helped address any questions or concerns we had. The two planning meetings we had with her made us feel much better and excited leading up to the wedding. She was always checking on me during the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. Bethany helped Tristen out on the day of our wedding and she was amazing as well! We highly recommend MSG to anyone looking for a beautiful rustic wedding!

Mustard Seed Gardens was absolutely wonderful! Bethany was our coordinator and she is simply amazing at what she does. The team is so professional, flexible, caring, cohesive, hardworking, and overall delightful. They made the process so smooth and I cannot say enough about how happy we were that we chose this venue & team. Different team members, from our coordinators to the bar staff checked on us throughout the day. They accommodated everything (including special requests) with a smile on their face. They were flexible throughout the whole process and went above and beyond during each step. I gave them decor items and they turned the venue into more than I could've imagined. It was so fun to experience everything unfold on our special day. They took care of everything and made it seem so effortless (even though we know it took a lot of hard work). We had zero worries about anything leading up to or during our special day. MSG also does upgrades every year to their venue, so the venue was even more beautiful on our wedding day than it was when we booked it. I cannot express enough how much we loved working with MSG, how special they made us feel throughout the process, and just how pleased we are that they made our wedding day so perfect!

No other venue compared! From the very first day, all of the staff members were so friendly and full of excitement. I had the privilege of having Tristen as my coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! She was so patient with me and helped us sort out every detail so I had no concerns on my wedding day. We loved that the team set up and took down all of our decorations. They answer emails very quickly and worked hard to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted. My wedding day at Mustard Seed is one I will never forget. Everything was BEAUTIFUL and more than I ever imagined!! I had so many friends and family members talk about how gorgeous and perfect the venue was! I will talk endlessly of this dream venue and will forever hold this place in my heart!

When we first toured Mustard Seed Gardens, my husband and I knew we wanted to get married here. Not only is the venue beautiful, but the team is amazing! On our original wedding date, we had to adjust our 120 guests down to 6, which was our immediate family due to the pandemic. Mustard Seed allowed us to use their newly built fire place area as our ceremony location, and at no additional cost for 2 hours! While a pop up thunderstorm happened during our ceremony, Mustard Seed had umbrellas ready for us, and made sure everything was set up perfectly, outside and inside during our mini reception. When we had our reception later in the year, they set up our decor, helped us with ceremony entrances, had a drink ready for us after the ceremony, and so much more. You will not be disappointed when you select them for your wedding venue. A special thank you to Bethany and Emma for making both of our wedding celebrations during a pandemic absolutely perfect!

When we first toured Mustard Seed Gardens, my husband and I knew we wanted to get married here. Not only is the venue beautiful, but the team is amazing! On our original wedding date, we had to adjust our 120 guests down to 6, which was our immediate family due to the pandemic. Mustard Seed allowed us to use their newly built fire place area as our ceremony location, and at no additional cost for 2 hours! While a pop up thunderstorm happened during our ceremony, Mustard Seed had umbrellas ready for us, and made sure everything was set up perfectly, outside and inside during our mini reception. When we had our reception later in the year, they set up our decor, helped us with ceremony entrances, had a drink ready for us after the ceremony, and so much more. You will not be disappointed when you select them for your wedding venue. A special thank you to Bethany and Emma for making both of our wedding celebrations during a pandemic absolutely perfect!

We used it as our base for most of our photography and it turned out beautiful. Working with Emma was also wonderful. Everyone at MSG from our wedding coordinator, Bethany, to our DJ, Joel, was absolutely incredible. We felt completely confident planning our wedding from another state and the staff were very flexible with Facetime meetings and lots of email communication. On the day of the wedding, MSG had us prepared for an indoor or outdoor wedding due to rain and were very accommodating when we decided to switch at the last minute. Our guests had an amazing time and we got so many compliments on the venue and the staff. Due to living out of state, we did not want to DIY our wedding and because MSG has such natural beauty, we did not have to do a lot of decorating. We booked ours way in advance and what I learned from all vendors is that they get more involved in the last few months so if it seems like they don't care when you are a year and a half out it's because they have a ton of wedding before yours so do not take it personal. Everyone complimented about how it was so nice to have the ceremony and reception all at one place. The venue is spaced out so we had the ceremony at the pergola and then cocktail hour outside with cornhole games and appetizers. We did our first dance on the outside paver and then the reception was inside. Curtis the bartender was awesome and so was Wes the DJ. They really made everything just perfect. If I could relive that weekend over and over again I would in a heartbeat . Definitely worth the money to have your wedding here!

It took one picture, on a friend’s Facebook page for me to decide that this was the venue I wanted to get married at. The atmosphere is simply stunning, both in person, and in photographs. It is the only venue I have ever seen that is so lovely on it’s own, you honestly could get away without adding your own decor - although it is even more beautiful once you add your personal touches! Our wedding on August 12, 2016 could not have been more perfect. Even with the possibility of rain, Megan and Curtis kept me (& my groom) calm and happy. They were so comforting that I knew, rain or shine, my day would be wonderful - and just by luck we did dodge the rain!Megan & Curtis helped work with our vendors to make sure everything flowed well. They never had anything but a smile anytime I saw them. And it was this way from the start. From the very first email, Mustard Seed Gardens provided excellent customer service, and were helpful in answering any and all questions I had. They were thorough, patient, and kind. I always thought I would be a stressed bride, because I am Type-A and think I have to do something for it to be perfect. Not the case. Megan made sure I stayed calm, and knew that it would all be set up to my standards. Even my husband commented on how relaxed I was the day of our wedding.If you want to be surrounded by happiness, and people who will do anything to make your day perfect, choose Mustard Seed Gardens. Megan and Curtis have the most genuine personalities, and truly care about all of their clients. They made me feel like I was the only bride they had all summer, even though I knew this was not the case. They knew every detail of my wedding day and went above and beyond making sure the wedding flowed perfectly. From helping keep track of the bridal party, to moving flowers from the ceremony to the reception so I could get double use - they did it all!I highly suggest anyone, and everyone, check out Mustard Seed Gardens. It took one picture, on a friend’s Facebook page for me to decide that this was the venue I wanted to get married at. The atmosphere is simply stunning, both in person, and in photographs. It is the only venue I have ever seen that is so lovely on it’s own, you honestly could get away without adding your own decor - although it is even more beautiful once you add your personal touches! Our wedding on August 12, 2016 could not have been more perfect. Even with the possibility of rain, Megan and Curtis kept me (& my groom) calm and happy. They were so comforting that I knew, rain or shine, my day would be wonderful - and just by luck we did dodge the rain!Megan & Curtis helped work with our vendors to make sure everything flowed well. They never had anything but a smile anytime I saw them. And it was this way from the start. From the very first email, Mustard Seed Gardens provided excellent customer service, and were helpful in answering any and all questions I had. They were thorough, patient, and kind. I always thought I would be a stressed bride, because I am Type-A and think I have to do something for it to be perfect. Not the case. Megan made sure I stayed calm, and knew that it would all be set up to my standards. Even my husband commented on how relaxed I was the day of our wedding.If you want to be surrounded by happiness, and people who will do anything to make your day perfect, choose Mustard Seed Gardens. Megan and Curtis have the most genuine personalities, and truly care about all of their clients. They made me feel like I was the only bride they had all summer, even though I knew this was not the case. They knew every detail of my wedding day and went above and beyond making sure the wedding flowed perfectly. From helping keep track of the bridal party, to moving flowers from the ceremony to the reception so I could get double use - they did it all!I highly suggest anyone, and everyone, check out Mustard Seed Gardens. From a rustic whimsical event, to a black tie affair - this venue can be transformed to be the most stunning room any of your guests have ever seen!

I cannot begin to explain how AMAZING the venue at Mustard Seed Gardens was for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We worked closely with Megan and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. From the initial venue tour to the end of our reception, attention to detail and customer service was more than great! Not only was the property beautiful outside, but inside as well. We had our ceremony outside on a nice fall day by the alter followed by a cozy outdoor cocktail hour by the fireplace and then had the reception of a lifetime inside the renovated barn. The pictures on Mustard Seed Gardens' website doesn't even come close to doing the location justice. I would like to thank Megan Painter for making our day wonderful and unforgettable. Any stress I had, she alleviated with her advice and willingness to assist in all aspects of the planning process. I highly highly recommend working with Megan and the rest of the team at Mustard Seed Gardens for any wedding event.

As soon as my husband and I stepped foot into Mustard Seed Gardens, we knew this was THE place for us to be married.The setting, beauty, and realness of this venue was just what we were looking for on our big day. We did our ceremony under the gazebo and had the cocktail hour and reception in the gardens and in the old barn. Megan was more than awesome to work with, and she ensured that everything was taken care of, including my last minute requests!!! It is hard to put into words how beautiful and elegant everything was. Her recommendations and assistance was more than appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend Mustard Seed to any couple!! We stumbled upon Mustard Seed Gardens after looking at venues all around the Indianapolis area. We struggled to find a venue that was unique and felt special to us; however, that all changed once we found Mustard Seed. As soon as we saw it, we knew a wedding at Mustard Seed was for us!\r\rThe planning process for the wedding could have not been smoother, thanks to the help from Megan and Mark, the staff at Mustard Seed. Megan worked to set up planning our initial meetings, as well as two other planning meetings after that. She was always prompt in responses to emails to both my mom and myself and was so personable and fun to get to know. Working with Megan was so effortless - she suggested many unique touches to add to the wedding and made sure that the other decorations we chose matched the theme of the wedding. It was clear that coordinating weddings is more than just a job to Megan and the staff at MSG, but instead a true love. This is reflected in the quality of their work and the amount of care they put forth.\r\rThe venue itself stunned on the day of the wedding. We got married in the gazebo outside, which was beautifully decorated exactly as we imagined it to be. The reception was in the barn and \"wow\"-ed all of our guests. It seemed that every guest commented on how beautiful and unique the gazebo and barn were and are still hearing compliments about the venue 2 weeks after the wedding\r\rWe can't say enough about how much we loved our wedding at Mustard Seed. Their service, commitment to excellence, and hard work is unparalleled. \r\rWhen my husband and I visited the property last summer, we instantly fell in love with it. The gardens are lovely and well-maintained. The barn, which was built in the late 1800s, has so much character. And the team who owns and manages the property is friendly and professional. We visited MANY venues in Indianapolis and the surrounding areas, and it didn't take us long to realize that Mustard Seed was where we wanted to wed. \r\rAs we began planning our big day, my husband and I were drawn to the idea of juxtaposing the rustic nature of the venue with elegant details. Thanks to Pinterest, I had big dreams of white chiffon draping and crystal chandeliers. As I expressed my vision to Megan, Mustard Seed's wedding coordinator, she 100% supported my over-the-top vision. She suggested beautiful ideas, sketched floor plans, and recommended vendors to help me bring each of the elements of my plan together. \r\rOn the days leading up to our wedding, Mark, the owner of the property, made our vision come to life. He spent hours (many, many hours) on ladders hanging strands of crystals and flowers, white chiffon drapes, and of course, chandeliers. He was able to troubleshoot any issues we ran into (including the fact that a different venue, which had rented the chandelier the night before our wedding, cut the cord in half) and worked tirelessly to ensure that our wedding was stress-free and everything we had dreamed of. \r\rI will be the first to admit that I am type A and particular, especially when it came to the biggest day of my life. The entire Mustard Seed team was always patient and accommodated all of our requests. They truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect. \r\rThe combination of Mustard Seed's charming style and it's reliable, friendly, and hardworking team resulted in a magical wedding day that my husband, our friends and family, and I will never forget. Mustard Seed Gardens is a beautiful and unique venue! Ever since Pinterest came into my life I had dreamt of having my reception in a barn. When I told my fiancé that this is what I wanted to do, he was a little turned off. I showed him tons of photos and tried so hard to get him on board. Finally, after comparing prices with other venues and finding that Mustard Seed was such a great value compared to others in the Noblesville/Carmel/Indy area, he finally gave in. Thank goodness he did, because our wedding was absolutely stunning in the end!! \r\rThe staff at Mustard Seed was so helpful throughout the entire day. One little issue we had was the weather...it was raining on and off all day and I had to make the difficult decision to either move it inside or keep it outside and pray that the rain would hold off for 30 minutes. We decided to move it indoors about an hour before the ceremony began, but then LOW & BEHOLD, the rain kind of tapered off, so they moved it back outside for me at the last minute. I was inside getting ready so had no idea what was going on, but was able to view all of the pictures later...I saw Mark (the owner), the dads, the groomsmen and my fiancé racing around, wiping down chairs, moving flowers, finding umbrellas for guests, helping the elderly make it to their seats, etc. They made it happen...and seeing everyone working so hard to give me the ceremony of MY dreams was incredibly touching.\r\rI'd also like to comment on how amazing Mustard Seed's Event Manager Megan is. Not only is she the sweetest person ever, but she was also SOOO helpful throughout the entire planning process...she's extremely creative and helped me make some decisions that I was having a difficult time with. She was also very responsive to all of my phone calls and emails...if I had a question (and trust me, I had a lot of them), I could simply call or email her and she would get back to me usually within an hour or two...by the next day at the latest. In the end, you no longer feel like a client, but a friend. \r\rAnother huge PLUS is that the barn in basically already decorated...they have white lights wrapped around the wood beams and as a \"waterfall\" behind the bridal party table, hanging paper lanterns, mason jars with candles line the walkways, etc. so all you really need are some flowers and maybe a couple extra details! They also have tons of vintage rental items available if you don't have the time to go antiquing on your own, which makes it really easy for someone who doesn't have tons of time to plan a wedding. Although, they are a little pricey. \r\rThe only thing that I wish I could change about this venue is the liquor requirement...I wish you could bring in your own alcohol and simply hire bartenders. Hiring a liquor company ended up being really expensive, to the point where we just stuck with beer and wine. The company that was on Mustard Seed's preferred vendor list was great, but having to hire them pushed our budget up in an area that I wish we could have kept a little lower. \r\rLastly, I wish the party could have gone on all night! Noblesville has a noise curfew, so everyone had to start heading out at 11. I was having so much fun, I didn't want it to end! All in all, everything was absolutely perfect...and if something did happen to go wrong, I didn't even notice. My wedding truly was the best day of my life, and I am so thankful for the staff at Mustard Seed who made it happen!

If anyone knows how to ruin what is supposed to be the happiest day of one's life, it is the owners of Mustard Seed Gardens. The owners were abrasive from the very beginning of the planning process and make excuses for their behavior. Our point of contact for the wedding (Megan) was not present on the wedding day and the owner (Mark) did not know what we had discussed about the plan for the day. We arrived to set the wedding up, and there was equipment (a tent, a dance floor, and about 100 extra chairs) set-up from a previous wedding. When I politely addressed my concerns, they harshly told me that since the rental company does not work on Sundays, they would not be able to clean up the grounds. There was trash and cigarettes scattered throughout the grounds. Throughout the set-up and event, Mark harassed us about menial things such as leaving the doors open while the A/C was running. I did not enjoy the wedding solely because of the attitude and actions of the staff. When we confronted him, he made excuses like, \"we worked 15 hours yesterday\" and \"we only slept 4 hours last night.\" When the night ended, I felt sorry that words got heated and I lost my temper a few times, so I swallowed my pride and called and sincerely apologized for getting angry. The next day, as I was visiting with my family, Mark called me back and I apologized again. Then he proceeded to raise his voice about how I was wrong and chewed me out about \"my attitude.\" It's over and behind me now, but I caution all brides about Mark and Mustard Seed Gardens. I would not have my wedding here if they paid me to have it there.

Bethany, Emma, Tristen, Aubrey & Kimmi (Coordinator) Our team is experienced & seasoned. The Mustard Seed team coordinated our first wedding in 2008 and our 500th in 2019. Our three event coordinators have strong backgrounds in wedding & event management and guide our clients seamlessly through the planning process. We consider hearing the phrase “I didn’t have to worry about a thing” a total success. Every event booking includes a venue coordinator.
