NaKayshions Wedding & Special Event Center is a wedding venue in Cedar Hill, TX. The Jackson family opened this beautiful five-acre property to the public back in 2007. Since then, they have hosted more than 800 weddings and special events. They are excited to see what the future holds, and they would be delighted to help you celebrate your special day in comfort and style. NaKayshions Wedding & Special Event Center has earned a reputation as a place of great splendor and sophistication, where couples and their guests can enjoy a celebration experience unlike any other. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests, and it has four lovely event areas for you to explore and enjoy. These include the Historic Chapel, the Grand Hall, the Terrace, and the Garden Gazebo. The latter two afford spectacular views of the lake. I had my wedding in May 2023. I was impressed with the decorations. However, the wedding coordinator Ms. Ruby was rude to some of my bridemaids and hostesses by the tone she was talking to them. My guests did not get a chance to see my husband (the groom) and I do our last dance since Ms. Ruby was rushing my guests out the door at 6:30pm but my event was supposed to end at 7pm. The floor plan was not correct that they put the long big table in the middle of the aisle at the reception area. It was in way and should have more room for the dance floor. This venue is well overprice for the service we had received. The DJ hardly play any songs that we requested, even though he had the list in weeks of advance. During the wedding cocktail hour, they would not allowed my guests to come inside and they had to eat their appetizers outside (I did not request this to happened). The guests had to wait outside and some of my guests had left. The catering company complained about not letting them come in early to prepare and cook the food and they had to come 1 hour before the ceremony started. I wonât be using this venue in the future, since it was a lot of miscommunication and disorganization.

The PVAMU Alumni Class of 1966 held our fourth Mardi Gras Extravaganza at NaâKayshions Wedding Event Center on February 18, 2023. The staff at NaâKayshions worked tirelessly to provide the most elegant decorations to fit our theme that could have been provided. Each table was beautifully decorated. Greetings to fellow people looking for a venue to hold your special day or event, especially if it is your first time like it was for me. I want to share how a birthday party turned into a real-life fairy tale and a dream come true-birthday party. Since the event, I still close my eyes at night and remember that particular day again like yesterday. I first came in contact with NaKayshions Wedding & Event Center while searching for a venue to renew my wedding vows on The Knot website. Still, after CoVID shut the country down, it was a while before I contacted the owner again.Meanwhile, during the waiting period for the country's reopening, among other things, I was prompted to change the event from a wedding vow renewal to a 60th birthday party. It was indeed one of the best decisions of my life. So after I contacted the venue a second time and spoke to the owner about my plans and what I wanted, I set up an appointment to visit the location. It was my first time at the event center, and when I walked into the venue and looked around, my vision suddenly came to life. At that moment, I knew it was the location I would use for my special day.The journey began first with the price quoted to rent the venue in the range of my budget. I placed my deposit to hold my date and received a receipt for all transactions. If I called with questions, the answers were provided on the spot. The staff was knowledgeable about the business, and any questions answered never disappointed my curiosity, especially anytime communication was necessary regarding my big day. Ms. Shirley and all other staff members, especially the owners, the DJ, and security, worked with me until the event day. It was not just a use of a venue; they treated me like family, and I made new friends. The other vendors I used for my special night could gain access to the event center and set up on time before the event with no problem. Reflecting on the journey, I thought it essential to share that going to the venue to see how the decorations were set up a week and the day before the event took place caused me to tear up; it was so beautiful. Lastly, the night of the event was so special as the staff was there to help me celebrate made it even more special. I can't wait to use the venue again, and I hope you will consider it a choice to hold your special event. I can't guarantee it, but I bet you won't be disappointed.

Rather, we conducted our Summer Seminar for public school educators at NaKayshions for three full weeks in July. The staff were friendly and very attentive to our needs in this very demanding event. We loved using the historic chapel for morning lectures. The main hall provided us a spacious arena in which to eat, view films, have plenary discussion, and host special speakers. I feel they knowingly were aware that the ac unit was no longer working. Also, I had an ongoing debate on the function of the hostess. It went from no one directing guests where to go to having 2. Please be advised , do not rent this venue.

Unorganized with owners that doesnât take ownership. I purchased the âBESTâ package and received less than average. A month before the wedding I called several times and for my tasting. I finally spoke to Mrs. Shirley (the decorator) and schedule a date. I rearranged my work schedule to make the appointment. When I arrived I was informed they schedule me for my mock table setup that I didnât have a chance to look at anything!Luckily they had a setup for a party where the colors were similar and I just added to the design. Food Vendor:Weeks before my wedding of trying to contact the food vendor. I contact Mr.Jackson and he finally setup an appointment for the tasting awesome. We purchased 10 additional chairs to the âBestâ package making the total count 60. Some of my guest didnât have chairs I shouldâve had 6 extra chairs available because a family of 6 did not attend. I reviewed my wedding video and only 50 chairs where placed. Both of us are from Michigan so we knew the exact count of our guest.The wedding coordinator: Ms. Ruby was nice but that changed quickly. She was not very organized. I rented 2 flower girl baskets and ring pillow from the venue. She came to ask me where they are! I originally had 2 flower girls but one flower girl and her family of 6 didnât make it. I had 2 packs of flower girl petals she only used 1/2 of 1 pack!My flowers ran out of flowers halfway down. At the reception there was no assigned sitting she was very rude at telling my guest to move.she once came back and told me that someone didnât move. My expensive bottle of champagne was not on my table as promised. She didnât do the mother son dance. At cake cutting time she asked me where my knife was? I rented them from the venue so she had to run around to find them. It was 9pm I was scheduled to take pictures with my outside vendors car (I found he was wonderful). We go out to take pictures while my guest partied. All of a sudden I see a group of people come outside Iâm thinking they are watching us but Ms.Ruby told them that we were doing our sparkler send off and told everyone that it was time to go!She was telling people that âtheyâ lock the gates at 10pm. My time slot was from 6pm-10pm she rushed my guest out at9:30pm!On top of that she had my sister and sister-in-law cleaning. I told them the next day that they werenât supposed to clean. I was outraged!! A clipboard wouldâve been helpful instead of asking me what I wanted to do next.STRESSFUL! After my wedding and honeymoon. I called and spoke with Mrs.Jackson about my concerns. She said that even though they provide and recommend the in house vendors listed on the website. Thatâs their set prices and the owners (Mr and Mrs Jackson) arenât responsible for any monetary refund for the vendors services. She also offers me 50% off my next event that I would have to book within the next year.My thoughts are if you offer and provide services do not separate ownership from your business when the website list these services under Nakayshionâs not a separate vendors. I was told I had to seek a refund from the coordinator personally and they only apologized for the seating. Oh and bring forks if you have a cake you would think for the cost of the BEST package everything would be provided as I was explained I didnât have to worry about anything. On the day of Ms. Ruby hid the forks behind the DJ b/c I didnât bring them!I didnât know! Venue beautiful but service and customer service not so good.

Hands down the best place to have your wedding. This is a one stop shop for everything you are looking for in a venue and the prices are so amazing. I got married on 8/17/2019 and Mr. & Mrs. Jackson made sure our wedding was perfect. Our guest is still talking about how beautiful everything was and how DJ Rockboy kept us on our feet. Hands down the best place to have your wedding. This is a one stop shop for everything you are looking for in a venue and the prices are so amazing. I got married on 8/17/2019 and Mr. & Mrs. Jackson made sure our wedding was perfect. Our guest is still talking about how beautiful everything was and how DJ Rockboy kept us on our feet. If you are a same sex couple, donât bother! They will not do your ceremony. They will however take your money to do a reception! Lmao ...While I am completely understanding of your religious beliefs, donât waste my time, having me drive an hour to look at a venue that you wonât even host my event at. When I emailed them, I specified that we were a same sex couple, they responded saying they would love to talk about prices! Itâs pretty simple to just say unfortunately we donât accept same sex ceremonies. Instead they had me drive there, then tell me my date was booked( highly doubt it was) .. then give me a tour, tell me the prices and then follow it up with we are Christian based and donât do same sex marriages, but if you want to do the reception, we can maybe do that. The gentleman was not rude, just disappointed you wasted my time! I would not even think about giving you my âgayâ money for a reception lol.

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson really make this place. There were some staff changes throughout the planning process but Mrs./ Mr. Jackson were always on top of things. We had a few mishaps but the Jackson's were sure to oblige in any way possible by going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The actual day of our wedding was spectacular for the most part. Emmanuel was extremely helpful and kept a smile on his face while providing us with exceptional service. There were a few minor details that left us a little less than impressed. The bartender complained to our guest for having to serve the drinks in glassware not plastic as well as to the groom himself. We thought that was slightly tacky considering this was never an issue with the venue who hired them. Also the DJ left us a little bothered for two reasons, we had a special playlist for the wedding that we spent hours getting together. I'm pretty sure he didn't even have it on hand because he played 0 songs from it. The ceremony music and 1st dance song / bride\\ father dance was fine. He also didn't announce our best man or maid of honor at the reception or us the newlyweds! And was gone by 10pm when our allotted time was until 11pm. Our last song of the night was played by some staff member who had hooked his phone up to the sound system. Some of our guests felt a little rushed out the door as well. We were asked to start picking up the event space at about 9:40pm to prepare for the last dance that was over an hour away. There were storms that night so that also played a factor, but we definitely did not get the venue to 11pm. Mrs. Ruby was helpful to us too! For the most part she helped keep the flow of things going. The overall experience was fantastic and highly recommend them if looking for an event space in the DFW area! Thanks so much Mr. and Mrs. Jackson for helping create our wedding vision, we can only hope to have our marriage be as successful as you alls!

If you need a place for your wedding this is the place! My husband and I decided on this place due to our schedules and wanting a place that covers the most stuff. The only things we had to cover were the photography, cake, and flowers. We found a photography place, had his aunt who own a cake business do us some amazing cakes for us, and we did the flowers ourselves. We thought it would be too hot to have our wedding outside in June but the day was absolutely amazing. They made sure everything ran smoothly where I didnât have to worry about a thing on the day of. The food was delicious and the DJ played songs that all ages could enjoy. I donât know how many compliments I received from people who attended my wedding about how much they enjoyed every aspect. To ALL brides:Today I had an appointment that I was so excited about. My bridesmaid this appointment for me because they wouldn't give me a price just for the ceremony. They said it was best to book an appointment. We live in garland and it takes us an hour just to get there. We finally get there and they made us fill out with info about our wedding. We do the tour and get back to talk about pricing. She starts talking about what they could offer and a little after that she says, \"wait...let me check if we have the day available.\" WTF! They took the time out of their busy days to make a phone which lets me know it wasn't about the money. I popped up a lot because I'm a visual person but they didn't fuss! They understood & welcomed me in everytime with smiles & hugs! I still speak with them from time to time even though the wedding day has come & gone! This venue was heaven sent! My husband and I had been engaged for almost a year before we decided on a date! And when we finally chose a date, it was a little over a month away! Talk about crunch time! we chose a date with great significance and that date just so happened to land on a Thursday. So when I reached out to NaKayshions, they said they were all booked up, but when i told them the date, they had the spot opened! we were beyond excited. even though we had little time, they worked with us. the decor was beautiful, the food was excellent and the service was most definitely 5 star service! I have been recommending NaKayshions to anyone that i know who is getting married.

All locations they have are beautiful from the beautiful flowers outside to the beautiful decorations in the Elegant Grand Hall where my reception was held. I loved the Gazebo area the most including the fountains located behind you. I would recommend this to my future brides it leaves you guest saying wow your wedding was absolutely breath taking. The DJ Trey was the best. Most of all my ring barrier dropped my Wedding band thru the floor boards of the gazebo during the ceremony and I thought I was gonna dieđ„ but the owner Mr. Jackson had the one come by and pull the boards up to find my ring!đ They treat u like family and I'd recommend this venue to any bride! They pretty much take Care of everything ! The decorations and lights were perfect!

My wedding was at Na'Kayshions on June 11, 2016. I fell in love with this place from the first day we walked in for a tour. Everything that Na'Kayshions had to offer us was not only what we were looking for but also the best deal around. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson are so genuine and easy to work with. We felt like they really cared about making our event special. Ms. Shirley was so patient with us with our many many changes and requests. She was very helpful with suggestions and worked with us to make sure we were always happy. We owe so much to Ms. Charita who worked closely with us from the very beginning. Let me tell you, this girl knows her stuff!! I honestly don't know what I would have done without her. She is such a genuinely good person who went out of her way many times to help us. She did everything she could to keep us happy and stress free. I honestly don't believe our wedding would have been as smooth and as beautiful as it was without her. The food was delicious and the decor and set up was even better than I imagined! My mouth actually dropped when I walked in to the reception area! Everything was so so beautiful! My husband and I could not have asked for anything more.

They were also late getting everything ready because they were still cleaning benches and putting flowers on the benches when guest started coming. This was so unprofessional! My daughter got married here Mar 2015 and her wedding was one to live and will always remember. Mr and Mrs Jackson has the best personalities and went beyond to make sure we were happy. It rained on her day and they offered to move everything inside to accomdtae everyone but the rain let up and they had staff to go and dry the chairs off so we could begin our wedding. The colors and decorations were the best and the night romantic venue just lovely. After her wedding was so beautiful and a success I decided to have my wedding here and got the same things as my daughters.

I have had the pleasure of attending several events at this venue and each one is better than the last. I can't think of one single thing that they need to improve on. The staff is courteous, the venue is beautiful and the food is outstanding. I don't have a current need for a venue, but when I do NaKayshions will be my venue of choice!

My search for the PERFECT location to hold my wedding started and ended at NaKayshions! I knew as soon as I walked into the door that this would be the PERFECT spot; I was greeted with warmth and sincerity and treated with absolute professionalism. The staff was amazing! I was married in the historic chapel, but they also have a beautiful garden terrace and a breathtaking lakeside gazebo. I had my reception in the Grand Hall and it was PERFECT! In addition to the stunning venue and the passionate staff, they also offered all the decorations, food and even a DJ as part of the package. For the most part, all I had to do was show up. When I arrived on the day of the wedding everything was PERFECT! The chapel was dressed with simple elegance, the grand hall was decorated even more beautiful than I imagined, the service was just as fantastic as it had been throughout the planning phase and the food was some of the best I have ever had! First and foremost, I could not have chosen a better place to have my wedding. I was overwhelmed at how the place looked, it was decorated so beautiful. There are not enough words to say how I felt on this special day. I give many thanks to NaKayshions and their staff for making my entire wedding party feel comfortable, relaxed and part of the NaKayshion family. \rI was so afraid of walking down the aisle because I felt it was a long walk. But once the doors open and I proceeded to walk down the aisle, I felt like a real celebrity. I honestly felt like the paparazzi followed me to my wedding. As I entered the grand hall everyone was out of their seats in the middle of the aisle to take my picture as I glided down the aisle to meet my groom. What an awesome place! First and foremost, I could not have chosen a better place to have my wedding. I was overwhelmed at how the place looked, it was decorated so beautiful. There are not enough words to say how I felt on this special day. I give many thanks to NaKayshions and their staff for making my entire wedding party feel comfortable, relaxed and part of the NaKayshion family. \rI was so afraid of walking down the aisle because I felt it was a long walk. But once the doors open and I proceeded to walk down the aisle, I felt like a real celebrity. I honestly felt like the paparazzi followed me to my wedding. As I entered the grand hall everyone was out of their seats in the middle of the aisle to take my picture as I glided down the aisle to meet my groom. What an awesome place! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!\r\r\r\r\r\r

Everything was beautiful from start to finish.The Jackson's and Ms.Shirley were the best. They worked with me and my husband, had patients with us and helped us out a whole lot. They made our day so beautiful most people believed it to be inreal. From the wedding, to the reception to the food. We love them and we consider them as family. They went above and beyond to satisfy me and my family and we will never forget them.

From start to finish, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson and Ms. Shirley took care of my husband and I. They knew we were on a budget and helped us plan out every detail. They all have a very calming spirit that is needed to keep brides calm. Ms. Shirley made sure I would be happy with the decorations and it was absolutely beautiful.\r\rThe ceremony was supposed to take place outside on the terrace but it was sprinkling and chilly outside so they made sure the reception area was decorated to the 9's for us. Everything was perfect. \r\rWe used the caterer the Jacksons recommended and the food was southern down home cooking. It was so good!! Our family and friends complimented how nice everything looked and how good the food tasted.\r\rWe just had an awesome time and loved every minute of it. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing.

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson were very accommodating to our needs. I was planning from a distance and only was able to visit the venue twice. Our guests had a great time, and its an excellent value. We were very happy with the result.

My mom & I took a tour of this venue this weekend, as the prices listed online are great! The pictures also looked pretty inviting. After spending 30+ minutes getting information on the facility and touring, we sat down for our quote. The starting prices of each package were well above what the prices are online. Maybe the prices online are for 50 guests (who knows because it definitely doesn't explain). The lovely lady that toured us was wonderful & informative. Overall, the facility needs some updating, it has a bit of a musty smell, and I just think you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere. Even their premier package only includes 1 entree, and the permanent decor is dated (old greenery & gold details). The space can definitely be dressed to your liking, but I do not think the price is worth it.

Na Kayshions was a blessing to us. From day one they made us feel comfortable and like family. I wanted this to be a perfect day and indeed it was, words could not explain how grateful we are to Na Kayshions owners. Our wedding day at Nakayshions was all we dreamed of and more! It was literally the best day of our lives. My husband and and I both interacted with the staff members regularly and now, they are all like family to us. The dedication, consideration and sensitivity they showed us was absolutely unequaled! I'm so glad we chose this venue! It was right in the heart of where I've grown up, however, it provided enough seclusion that I didn't even know about it until I was actually looking for a venue. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, Ms. Shirley and Ms. Pam will always have a special place in our hearts. I would love to have any other occasion at their venue because I know it will be affordable, personalized and absolutely a dream come true. We only brought in desserts and wedding favors for our reception, along with our choices of alcohol and drink accessories. EVERYTHING else was covered in our \"Best Package\" selection, so all we did was show up, dress, marry, eat and party!!! And the atmosphere they created was absolutely breathtaking. I cannot stress how blessed you'll be to work with such wonderful people, should you choose this venue. Thank you NaKayshions for your desire to make us so happy! Little did I know that I would find such a wonderful place and people who really care. Nakayshion incorporates all these things into one. I couldn't recommend a better place to have your wedding.

I absolutely loved this venue and everything there was to offer. There was several different options to choose from not only within the packages but the venue itself. You have the option to get married at the chapel, by the lake or the beautiful rose garden which is the location I chose. The staff was very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this venue.

Small but beautiful venue and lovely owners,I had my wedding in the summer however, i found some things that needed changing. The owners are kind but somewhat lacking in business etiquette. I recommend communicating with one primary person throughout the entire process. Make sure they have enough of all the table decorations in your colors, ask if the pond is cleaned and sprayed for mosquitos and that the hedges are trimmed so your guest can see you as you are walking down the aisle (a very important factor), the chairs could use some painting or touching up, the additional items sold from their store are overpriced (ex: a pair of basic white slippers were apprx. $30.00) you can find the same items way cheaper at any local store. Those were my main concerns. Although, these were my issues please keep in mind that they are very accommodating if you express your concerns. They will definitely listen!!! They do aim to make sure that you are happy.
