I honestly donât think there is a more beautiful wedding venue out there. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous year round and are so well maintained. The ceremony space amongst the redwoods was exactly what my husband and I were looking for and it made for the most beautiful and special ceremony. Weâve been told by so many of our guests how it was the most unique and breathtaking wedding ceremonies theyâve ever been to. One of the things we loved the most about Nestldown is how vast the property is and how each part of our day had a unique vibe and feeling. We had our cocktail hour in Foxglove Meadow which was perfect for all of the activities we had for our guests (including a golf hole!). Dinner on the main lawn was absolutely gorgeous with the trees lit up by the pond and the surrounding gardens bloomed with beautiful flowers. The barn made the perfect setting for our dance party. Every part of the day was perfection and we feel so lucky to have gotten married there. Nestldown definitely has a lot of rules and policies that worried us at times during the planning process but when it came down to our actual wedding day it was all worth it.Also, a huge shout out to our SEM Danielle! She was SO amazing to work with every step of the way. Always there for us to help with any questions or things that popped up. On the day-of she was extremely attentive and really made sure everything went super smoothly and according to plan. Thanks to her we were able to really relax and enjoy our day! Planning a wedding during a pandemic was a challenge, but the Nestldown team was there every step of the way. We are so fortunate to have worked with Courtney Donlon as our Special Events Manager (SEM) throughout the entire planning process. My wife and I couldn't have been happier to spend the most important day of our life at such a breathtaking location. From our first steps on the property during our tour at Nestldown, we knew that this venue was like no other. After seeing multiple wedding venues, we couldn't go back to any of them once we saw what Nestldown had to offer. From the professional and organized staff to the gorgeous and well maintained gardens, choosing Nestldown was a no-brainer.Our SEC, Jo Ann, was an absolute delight to work with. She helped us with our wedding timeline, all the details about our vendor, what to prepare for leading up to our wedding, and answered all our questions. I'm not sure how she had time to organize and remember every detail about our wedding while helping others as well. Our wedding itself was better than we could've imagined. Nestldown truly knows how to pamper and spoil the bride and groom. As soon as we entered, we were constantly being looked our for. We were handed appetizers when we were hungry, our cocktails when we took breaks, and everything was organized down to a T. We also had the luxury to work with the owner of Nestldown, Barbara. She was the perfect blend of sweet and professional. She somehow knew where every vendor was and what they were doing at all times! My wife and I are still talking about how magical our wedding was. There is nothing quite like it - it truly looks like something out of a fairytale and there are so many little touches that make the property so magical. The booking process was very smooth for us and shortly after, we were paired with our SEM, Danielle to discuss the timeline and details for our minimony. Danielle is such a sweet person and was integral in bringing our vision to life. She kept us on track during the planning process and she was such a calming presence for me on the day-of as my nerves were through the roof! Our ceremony and cocktail hour went off without a hitch, and I know Danielle did so much behind the scenes to make sure everything went smoothly. amanda b(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-09-2021 Pros: Beautiful venue and well organized. The template timeline is very helpful as is the recommended vendor list for planningCons: Their COVID change/cancellation policies were pretty poor so be sure to ask ahead of time! Even during lockdown and tight restrictions they didn't offer our deposit back. The options were 1) mini moon with ~20 guests, boxed meals, and no reception 2) change to a weekday (regardless if you paid extra for the weekend) or pay ~40% more for a weekend day or 3) cancel and lose the deposit. Fortunately, the restrictions lifted by the time of our wedding, but if you want to move the reception/dancing outdoors, you may need to pay extra for a golf cart or to coordinate with your caterer. I'd hoped they'd at least throw in the golf cart for free given we paid considerably more for a weekend day but had to push the date to a week day (Unfortunately, they were not accommodating here). They did throw in free guest house use and games to everyone, but this hardly balanced the cost difference and weren't items we'd originally wanted. Reviewed on 31-12-2021

Daniela Bunnell(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-08-2021 Nestldown is the most amazing place to get married! The property is like something out of a fairytale. The Chapel is absolutely beautiful! When you book a wedding at Nestldown you rent the entire property for your event (unlike a country club, hotel, or resort). The ceremony was at the Chapel, cocktail hour at the Apple Knoll, dinner at the Main Lawn, and the reception at the Barn. We are so thankful to our SEM Danielle. She kept us informed of all Covid related updates that would affect the wedding and did an amazing job following the timeline and being flexible with a last-minute changes. Danielle did a great job keeping the bride and groom from seeing each other before the ceremony as well as going above and beyond her duties as an SEM by making sure that my husband's mother with Alzheimerâs was transported around Nestldown, taking care of a melting cake, and helping us surprise the bride and groom with a VW photo booth. We are so grateful to the Beck family for making their property and guesthouse available for weddings. Their property is like a fairy tale or like our South American guests would say âun cuento de hadasâ. The Chapel is breathtaking! Their guesthouse is not only beautiful but very convenient for weddings at the property. When our daughter told us that she wanted to get married surrounded by redwoods I was worried. For years, I had seen pictures of the beautiful redwoods, flowers, ponds, and buildings, not realizing that this gorgeous venue was local. When I got engaged, I knew that the first venue I was going to want to tour was Nestldown! In hindsight, touring Nestldown before any other venue may have been a mistake, as I knew that no other venue could live up to it. The property even more beautiful in real life and I felt like I was transported into a fairytale forest. It is clear that Nestldown really knows what they are doing when it comes to weddings. The entire planning process was extremely organized, with plenty of paperwork provided to outline every guideline. I'm not going to lie, the guidelines were pretty strict, but completely justified considering all of the efforts made to keep the property wedding-ready. Diana, the Events Director, sat down with my husband and me and patiently went through all of the paperwork and its legalese to ensure we understood everything. We were also given lists of their recommended vendors and Diana was able to provide us with personalized recommendations that suited our needs. We were initially assigned Jaynie as our Special Events Manager (SEM) who would be our point person leading up to and on our big day. Jaynie was such a delight, but unfortunately we only got to meet her once before the pandemic hit and we had to change our wedding day plans. With the uncertainty of planning a wedding during a pandemic, my husband and I ultimately decided to downsize our guest list and cut out our reception dinner altogether. Diana was wonderful, keeping us updated on how our wedding would be affected by the county guidelines as well as providing us with various options for keeping our original date or postponing. Magdalena L(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 We got married at Nestldown in September 2019 and our wedding was better than I could've imagined! We selected this venue because of the breathtaking ceremony space that makes you feel like you're in a cathedral of redwood trees, the expansive lawn for outdoor dining, and beautiful barn for dancing. The staff at Nestldown are absolute pros at executing weddings seamlessly and giving guests the best experience possible. Several of our guests have remarked that it was the best wedding they have been to. Much of this credit goes to our Special Events Manager, Marissa Barnes, and the rest of the staff at Nestldown. The only issue we faced was Nestldown's insistence that you use a wedding planner off of their approved list, or pay a $1,000 fee. I understood this policy and willingly paid the fee when I found an off-list planner that I loved, but Nestldown still made me feel like it was a big inconvenience for them to work with someone off-list. That was the only hitch. My wedding planner learned the venue quickly, and the day was perfect! Reviewed on 06-09-2020

I had viewed 18+ properties and had very high standards. Nestldown met every single one of those and more. There are so many beautiful features to this property including the stunning redwood trees, lake, small train, horses, twinkle tree lights, and more! While we had our wedding reception, deer actually walked down and fed in the meadow next to guests-- it was out of a fairy tale. My wedding day truly went off without a snag. My goal was for each guest to have a blast. I was told multiple times by various guests it was the best wedding they had ever too and the most stunning venue they had ever visited. I truly cannot say enough positive things about Nestldown and my wedding day-- I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful memory. In addition to the incredible day, the Beck family is also incredible! They truly care about each and every bride. They welcomed us into their home for the contract signing and we spent hours just chatting and bonding. I grew very close with the family over the 1.5 years of planning and never had a bad encounter. They are beyond generous, loving, warm, compassionate people. It is so rare to meet people like the Beck family. We then had our wedding reception/celebration at Nestldown on Sunday, June 16, 2019 - Father's Day. It was the only date available and we still took it, because no matter what the date --- I had to celebrate at Nestldown! The lush greenery, vibrant flora and whimsical atmosphere was too spectacular and magical to pass up! It was and continues to be a dream come true! Mark and Barbara were awesome to work with! They are impeccably professional and are also warm, welcoming and kindhearted. The entire team who tended to our wedding celebration (Marissa, Meghan, Edward, Tiffany & Leftery) were amazing! The planning and execution was superb! They were accommodating, easy to work with, very honest and very upfront in terms of what was possible and what was not possible to have on the property (I wanted a whole arcade and pool table brought in, but that was so impractical, perhaps maybe now it is possible, now that they have an upper veranda area). We stayed at their lovely home on the grounds the night before, which I highly recommend for the Bride and her party! Having our celebration at Nestldown was worth every penny and signing all their contracts. Which there are is a lot to sign, but every single thing in the contracts makes sense to be written out and agreed to. I highly recommend using their recommended vendors list - it's better if the vendors are familiar with the area and they also already have their own liability contracts with Nestldown. Every single vendor we worked with (listed below) were A+++!!!We had an amazing time! Our guests had an amazing time! Everyone appreciated and cherished the surroundings, the festivities, and memories carved with each other in this gorgeous place! We recently returned to Nestldown for our anniversary picnic (delayed due to covid), but a little delay is no biggie in the grand scheme of things and compared to everything else that is happening throughout the world. Thank you so much to Mark and Barbara for opening up their home and their property for their guests to enjoy! They don't have to, but they do. They and their entire team work extremely hard to maintain Nestldown so that we could have a wonderful experience. Krista Basile(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2019 My wife and I got married at Nestldown in 06/2019 and couldn't have had a better experience. The venue is unbeatable, which goes without saying. I am someone who appreciates essential contact (I am busy!), and Nestldown did an excellent job of matching us with a coordinator who did exactly that. I was not flooded with unnecessary emails, nor was I not wondering where the communication was at - it was perfect! If I had questions, they were answered in a very timely fashion (often within the hour). Nestldown works like a WELL OILED MACHINE and as a consumer, you need to trust that. We did and would do it all again the exact same way. They do have particular policies that you need to be aware of, but they are not at all detrimental to the day and if anything, they add magic to the day without you even noticing. They know their property, their staff, the flow of how you want your wedding. The \"preferred vendors\" list was also a game changer - we saved so much time, money, and energy by trusting our day, food, videography, photography, and many other services to this list. The day couldn't have been more perfect and I would, without hesitation, recommend other couples to trust their special, magic day with Nestldown. Reviewed on 17-07-2020
Christen F(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-08-2020 I am saddened & extremely disappointed in the poor partnership & experience I have had with Nestldown. Many people dream of having a fairy tale wedding & it is true, Nestldown has a beautiful property but how they have treated couples during this pandemic has been shocking & unsettling. COVID 19 & the shelter-in-place restrictions began in March & soon after I reached out to Nestldown multiple times throughout Mar, Apr & May to see about potential challenges, the venue's safety guidelines, & rescheduling options for our late August wedding. After several emails & a meeting with our coordinator to go over the timeline, we were then directed to the Events Program manager who said that we would need to wait until June 1st before she would share the options available to us. Later in May, I requested a meeting for June 1st but the Event Manager said that she would send an email. We tried to be patient because we knew that there were couples before us who had to cancel due to the restrictions. We were under the impression that we would be able to reschedule our wedding for a similar day sometime in 2021 depending on availability. This was not the case.On June 1st, we anxiously waited all day & followed up with the Events Manager mid-day for the promised update. Finally, at 6:15pm, we received an email with some very unexpected options. Instead of Nestldown rescheduling our wedding for a comparable date, the options were:1) Keep our Date & Wait & See. Not only would keeping our date put our guests in danger (many of our guests are from out of town), but as of June the social gatherings limit for Santa Clara County was 25 people. Meaning I could only have 25 people including the photographer, etc., & I would have to uninvite some of our 150 guests. (For those with larger families, you understand why this is not an option). Not only that, but with the pandemic, weâve been \"on hold\" since March unable & uncomfortable to continue with any additional plans & new deposits.2) Reschedule our wedding for the contracted price for an available Mon, Tues or Wed.3) Reschedule our wedding for one of Nestldown's available Thurs, Fri or Sat in 2021 & pay an additional 40% on top of what we originally agreed to in our contract. (To hold our new date, we would have to pay 100% of the original cost & we were not guaranteed the same time of year - in the original contract, there is an extra cost for weekends & an extra cost for \"peak\" season).4) Cancel our Wedding & Lose our 50% Deposit. As in, you can cancel your wedding but Nestldown would keep your deposit. We were shocked. Not only were these options egregious, but we felt misled & were particularly upset when we found out that they had known these were the options since April. (We found this out from posts on WeddingWire). We felt betrayed & our patience used. We then asked for a call with the owners in hopes that maybe we can gain some additional insight into our options. They did take our call but they refused to deviate from their prior positions or return our deposit. In a follow up email, we then asked if it would be possible to get even part of our deposit back & they refused again with hostility. All we want & have asked for is our deposit back so that we can have a wedding later when the regulations allow gatherings of this size & it is safe. To help future couples avoid this pain & disappointment, I am sharing our story to help inform couples considering Nestldown for their venue. Reviewed on 07-07-2020

Everything ran smoothly on the day so we didn't have to stress about anything. Thank you Diana for making our day beyond perfect, smooth, and stress free. I know that the price tag might be a little bit scary, but it is worth every single penny. I cannot stress this enough, it was worth every single dime we shelled out to have our wedding at Nestldown. We booked the venue 20 months in advance and the entire planning process was so easy thanks to how tight of a ship Diana runs. As for day of execution, I have zero complaints. Diana took care of absolutely everything. Our entire wedding party felt at ease and nothing felt like a chore. I didn't feel rushed a single moment the entire day and was able to be entirely present as Diana and her team took care of everything. Plus, having a Friday wedding meant everyone who attended could have a three day weekend! It is a beautiful, one of a kind venue that will not only make you fall in love with it, but will amaze and impress your guests. Jen was a rockstar and always reassured me that I was on track and that things were going as planned throughout the whole process. Emma Cochrane(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-04-2019 I cannot stress enough how gorgeous this venue is. My, now, husband and I went hunting for the perfect venue a little over a year ago. We only viewed 5 places, Nestldown being the first. After our 5th location, I decided that Nestldown had to be the spot. Yes, Nestldown is not the cheapest venue, but we just had to make it happen and we were not disappointed at all.The owners were very personable and friendly. They invited us into their home to sign the contract. They made us feel welcome - like family during our whole process. We signed the contract and begun our planning adventure for the next year. We visited this venue a few times to meet with our coordinator, Marissa, and to get a feel for how we wanted to set everything up the day of our wedding. The flowers hadn't yet bloomed the days we visited prior to the wedding, but they were in full force on our special day! It was a pleasant and beautiful surprise on the day of our wedding to see how beautiful and majestic this place truly is. The weather was a wonderful 78 degrees, sunny, and warm. Marissa made sure everything ran smoothly the day of. The staff was superb. Seriously could not have been a better day for us. It was worth the money we spent - every single penny. (We celebrated 4/19/2019.)Things to know:1.) They provide a day of coordinator and coordinating team. \"Day of\" means she will organize and set everything up that the caterer and florist do not handle. She makes sure everything gets done pre-wedding and is there with you and your party making sure the day runs smoothly. There is no need to hire a wedding coordinator, at least, the day of. Also, the \"day of\" coordinator will meet with you a few times throughout the wedding planning process. They will create an intensive timeline so you know exactly what's going on from start to finish and everything in between. Literally! 2.) There are a ton of additions you can choose to have like the fireplace on, the piano available to play, the firepit on (we used this for s'mores table), lawn games (extra fee), the train on during cocktail hours for the guest to ride (included).3.) I cannot stress this enough - you can pay for 2 hours of extra time. It is not cheap but it is WORTH THE MONEY!!! After taking pictures, schmoozing with the guests, taking more pictures, schmoozing more, eating, pictures, barely getting a drink at the bar, more pictures, first dance, walking around to see the whole set up of the venue - when open dancing comes around...there's no time left for yourselves to just let loose. This made a huge difference. If we did not add this extra time, we would have maybe 45-min to dance and just be ourselves without worrying about anything else.4.) We chose all our vendors off the vendor list. Best idea since they have been to Nestldown several times and know the layout and how everything works. Is Nestldown beautiful? Yes, absolutely; however, after talking with over 30 wedding venues, they are the absolute worst with communication, follow-up and common courtesy, and are simply not worth the hassle. Due to them being so popular, they are not worried about following up with potential clients or even responding to emails. After touring the site on Sept 1, 2018, we were given an email of available dates on Sept 4th. We requested to place a date on hold that same night (within an hour of the email) and the following day (Sept 5) were told the date was previously on hold (though the first email did not have that marked). Devra stated she was scheduled to have a phone call with the other couple the next day, on Sept 6th, at 1pm and would get back to as soon as she knew after the phone call. However, she NEVER emailed me back. Instead, I sent her a follow-up email on the evening of Sept 6th, only to hear nothing back from her. I again reached out with another email, one including my previous attempts to contact her, on Sept 13th and still have not heard back from her. As previously stated Nestldown is beautiful, but so are many other venues. Nestldown has by far the worst customer service, especially considering the price for booking there. I would not recommend booking your wedding at Nestldown. Reviewed on 23-09-2018

We loved our food we highly recommend Poetry in Motion for that, and our photographer was amazing! Choosing Danielle Gillet Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. When we went to see the venue for the first time and I heard the music from the speakers that are hidden throughout redwood trees, I fell in love with it immediately. Secondly, the Nestldown staff and their preferred vendors are extremely professional and great to work with. They help a TON with the planning process and made me to feel so at ease every step of the way. My wedding coordinator was Barbara Beck and she was amazing to work with! As a Los Gatos native, it is a spot my family has been lucky enough to fall in love with over the years as we hosted anniversaries, remembrances and play times. With it's towering redwoods, sturdy barn, sloping lawns and meticulous landscaping, it truly embraces the spirit and pristine beauty of California. It's a venue that should be cherished for its natural beauty; decorations and attire do not need to be over-the-top.The single downside to Nestldown is the cost. In addition to the venue rental, there are extra fees around every twist and turn and small details quickly add up to big expenses. With that said, I've know this was the venue at which I would get married since I was a child, and I am overwhelmingly grateful to the Beck family and our wedding coordinator for helping make our dreams come true so perfectly. When the Life.Film crew got to the venue the event manager got introduce herself and showed us around, also she offered us a ride to help with the equipment - which was very helpful for us since we always have a ton of gear. The bride and the groom were getting ready at the cottages on the hill - very cozy and rustic. For the first look we walk down to the park in front of the pound - and it cannot be more romantic then this place. The most impressive for us was the ceremony spot! It just spectacular! The ceremony set up was surrounded my huge trees and it looked definitely like the fairytale. We set up like 8 cameras for the ceremony in order to get so many different angles - and the result was totally worth it! The dinner were served in the main building - very cozy barn with super high sealing! We totally felt in love into this place and canât wait to film there our next wedding! Itâs gorgeous, everything is run incredibly smoothly, and the people are super nice and go the extra mile to make sure everything is awesome. Barbara and Claudette knocked it out of the park. Pricey, but worth every single penny! Some highlights:- They 100% have weddings figured out. They helped us with every detail, and even if they werenât organizing it, they were still reminding us to think about it. Every single thing is thought of ahead of time, so when the big day comes, it just all happens so smoothly.- They do have a lot of rules and restrictions, but we loved it! Made decision making easy and we knew everything was buttoned up. It never impeded on what we wanted to do- there were still plenty of choices of vendors, etc.- Barbara and Claudette were so kind. Great communicators. Very organized, tooâeach meeting and walkthrough was fun and productive.- The venue itself is BEYOND stunning. The redwood chapel was the most magical place to exchange our vowsâ it alone was unforgettable. Foxglove meadow in the back was everything I could have imagined for a cocktail hour with lots of yard games and gorgeous treeline. The barn was the perfect place to dance the night away. The landscaping is gorgeous, with tons of flowers and plants all over. Itâs lush and manicured without being too prissy.- Barbara and Claudette had so many killer tips that made our day special. Key things⊠Whisking us away briefly for 5-10 minutes right after the ceremony so we could spend some time with ourselves (plus champagne, appetizers - so smart). Bringing blankets out when temperatures started dropping at dinner. Knowing the barn was a backup plan in case of rain, so no need to worry about tents etc. So many details, big and small, that all added up.- One giant highlight was the miniature donkey, Starbuck! We actually knew Starbuck from his previous residence down near Aptos, so we had a special fondness for him. For our wedding day, they groomed him and brought him to hang out and take pictures â it was so special, and we really appreciated all the extra effort.Basically, yes it was expensive, but it was gorgeous, super smooth, and everything we could have dreamed of and more. Paul Falo(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-03-2016 We absolutely loved our wedding at Nestldown! We looked at so many different places and Nestldown was the last on our list. We didnât have high hopes for this venue as the only thing we had to go off prior to visiting was the picture of the âhobbit houseâ on the websiteâin fact we joked the place calling it the âShire\". Boy were we wrong. When we got to Nestldown and saw what it had to offer--magnificently tall redwoods, beautiful lakes, streams, a dragon, yes, a dragon--nature in all of its beauty and splendor. The site is so well manicured...itâs a really a gem nestled in the mountains of Los Gatosâan unforgettable place. We chose Nestldown as our venue for all of these reasons but most importantly because my wife and I both connected to it and felt it would be the place that we and our children would remember for many years to come. A place that our friends and family would feel was unique, open, warm, and just beautiful. Nestldown also provided us with a same day wedding coordinator, My-Dung, and she was truly awesome as well. She kept us on track and focused, answered our questions, and basically kept us sane throughout the entire process. It even rained on our wedding day but My-Dung and her crack commando team kept our spirits up and made sure that our wedding moved forward as planned despite the weather. Our photos and videos also came out fantastic--a testament to how beautiful and picturesque Nestldown truly is, and how great of a job My-Dung did for us. Keep in mind however that Nestldown can be strict with their contract and how they run things but rightfully so, to maintain upkeep of the site and to ensure it is pristine for the next couple that is expecting the best wedding experience possible, just as we were. Choosing a wedding venue is no small matter and to be honest, we stressed over this decision so much. And, if we had to make this decision again, it would not change. Alex Kyhn(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2017 This is why I am giving Nestldown one star: At 10:20 pm on Thursday night, essentially one day before our scheduled tour, we received an email letting us know that our tour had been cancelled due to last weekend's weather having made the construction sites inaccessible. I was so upset I could not stop crying. First of all, Nestldown's staff knew we were coming from Florida and that we had arranged this trip specifically for that tour. Nestldown of COURSE does not have control over the weather. We totally and completely understand that (we aren't a-holes!). However, the fact that they e-mailed 36 hours before...knowing how far we had come and that we already had limited time due to the stress of work/school/distance was completely unacceptable. The cost of the flights ($600) and the rental car ($100) were not nearly as devastating as the severe lack of consideration to inform us earlier. If Nestldown knew the construction sites were hazardous due to LAST weekend's weather...an e-mail or phone call would have been highly appreciated on Monday or Tuesday...or even Wednesday. In that case, my fiance and I could have easily re-arranged our other appointments and fit another venue in. As a result of the poor communication, my fiance and I were left with a wide-open Saturday (because no one could see us in such short-notice...of course) and now having to figure out another time to make time in our schedules and fork up another $600 for another flight out (and if anyone is in grad-school or any school really and also planning a wedding...you understand the perils of being financially strapped). The cherry on top of all of this is that my fiance called yesterday morning respectfully begging someone to just give him a call back so that we could at least hear some options and more information over the phone....and his phone has yet to ring. When I respectfully wrote back at 11pm on Thursday night telling them we would unfortunately have to look elsewhere (after they encouraged me to \"reschedule the tour\"), they e-mailed back almost instantaneously with a lengthy explanation. So we know someone has received his message. \r\rUnforuntately, Nestldown is off of our list because we cannot trust them to help us from 3,000 miles away during such a critical time. I can't imagine ourselves stressing out further because of poor communication. It makes me sad because this was our dream venue...but to be honest, it truly is not the only magical forest-like hidden gem in beautiful California. We will be flying out again to look at The Sequoia Retreat Center - who tried exceedingly hard to accommodate us in less than 24 hours but was (understandably) unable to. Reviewed on 13-03-2016
Kristy Jelincic(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-04-2015 My husband and I got married in April and I could not have been happier with this choice. I booked it and paid for it site unseen and was not disappointed when I went to see the property a couple months before our wedding. It literally takes your breath away and I was just in awe. \r\rWe planned our wedding in about 4 months (crazy I know, but so do-able) and it is because of the staff it really was...dare I say EASY to do. The staff is so professional and got everything perfectly how I imagined it to be. I loved the timeline they used to make sure everything that happened was how I wanted it to be and it really was seamless from the first look pictures to the final send off. You can dress it up or down or not even at all because the venue's beauty really speaks for itself. My motto was less is more. It really doesn't need any decor. Guests loved the venue too and sung its praises. I also appreciated they had a golf cart for anyone who needed it, elderly, disabled etc. \r\rI stayed in the house on the property the night prior with my bridesmaids...super pricey but as a last minute decision I said, what the heck...you only get married once. It made for a really fun evening, and made the morning more relaxed...as long as your hair and makeup people know where they are going!;)Mine did get lost so maybe use someone who has been there before.\r\rI would say this venue would make anyone happy except for those that don't work well with type A personalities. The staff is very organized and have many rules (that need to be there). I had some family members who decided to bring a full bar to the parking lot and were busted for it...but in their defense they didn't know they couldn't do that and I didn't know they were going to do that. SO make sure your drinking friends are aware. The venue does need to keep their liqueur license after all. Also as a mini tip to the staff, for info like that, as a Bride, I'd probably prefer my maid of honor or parents be in the know and stay oblivious to it myself. Brides are on cloud nine and once that ceremony is done, you really couldn't care less about the little things that dont go quite as planned. In general, the maid of honor knows the bride best and can filter what they should tell the bride:) Nonetheless the day was perfect and between the venue and all the vendors it was an incredible day.\rMost importantly I married the love of my life and that trumps everything, including where we got married. So if getting married here will break the bank, pick somewhere else because as long as you are marrying the person you love it won't matter where you are. But if you do choose here, get ready for a beautiful and magical day. Thank you to all the Nestldown staff. To the owners, the property you have created is one-of-a- kind. Thank you so much for sharing it for others to enjoy. Reviewed on 30-10-2015
Brittney Johnson(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-07-2015 Wow! What a stunning venue! I knew Nestldown was the place I wanted to get married the moment I laid eyes on the grounds. The grounds are always well kept and surreal in sight. They have made it physically acceptable for all, utilizing golf carts to help cart people around if needed. They provide activities for the guests to enjoy. The on-site coordinator is there from the beginning of the process to assist the bride with planning needs at the venue. My coordinator, My-Dung, was very timely, professional, and cordial during the planning period in her communication with me. She even made the extra effort to video chat with me for our \"first meeting\" since we could not meet in person due to distance! She made it her goal to make sure all of my desires were met for that day.\rA couple drawbacks would be a lack of communication with the bride regarding the time during the reception, causing rushed feelings during dinner and the grand exit at the end of the night. I barely greeted any of my guests at dinner due to a lack of knowing how much time I had before the other festivities began. Some guests, as well as myself, felt rushed to leave the venue at the end of the night, some feeling that the staff were more abrupt in manner. If you can get through the many pages of contracts and specific instructions, this venue is very much so worth it! I have heard numerous praises of how beautiful it was, and I agree! Alicia (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-10-2014 I was recently married at Nestldown in Oct 2014. We absolutely loved the venue, and we are so so glad we chose it. We bought the Nestldown+ package for a day of coordinator, and I'm really glad we did that too. We had a 150 person fusion wedding, so it would have been very difficult for me to coordinate that without extra help. Thank you to Jaynie!\r\rSpeaking of Jaynie, she was incredibly positive and supportive and wonderful to work with! In fact, she's meeting me in a week to deliver some of my leftover decorations she found. So thoughtful!\r\rIt's interesting; there are a few difficult things to deal with at Nestldown, but it all feels worth it because it is just that beautiful and professional. We had a blast at our wedding, and I know a lot of that is because it is gorgeous and has really great management.\r\rNow to describe the difficult parts, Nestldown is very expensive and very strict about their rules. They have you sign a long legal contract that threatens charges for violations. I'm sure this is common practice, especially in the privately owned areas of Los Gatos. You need an approved caterer, DJ, and shuttle driver. You're also not allowed to take shots?! Use of the driveway is very strictly enforced for the safety of the guests, but that can add hours and $$ to your vendors, like a photo booth. I honestly forget the other rules now, but it felt like a bit much. Again, they run a very good business there though so it makes sense. A good business protects itself.\r\rDespite the above caveat, when our entire event came together, we realized how wonderful it was that the venue looked as beautiful as we dreamed our wedding would look. I don't miss wedding planning, but I do miss visiting Nestldown!! We might stay at the house on the hill for an anniversary... Reviewed on 11-11-2014

Jessica Sibal(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2014 - Nestldown\rThis venue was amazing!!! I looked online on a few different websites to see what venues are around the area- I knew we wanted to have a local wedding and I wanted to compile a list of top 3 venues to look at in person. At first we looked at the Ritz in HMB but ruled that out because it's a huge risk- the weather over there is cloudy and cold more often than not and the locals aren't the friendliest- from past experiences! So I kept looking and my bff actually mentioned Nestldown to me since her boyfriend went to a wedding there. When she told me about it, she said it was a barn and in my head I was like mmkay, let's see this so called barn! So we looked up pictures on yelp and it was just gorgeous! I fell in love with the place from just seeing it online. There weren't any other venues that caught my eye so Chris and I checked it out and knew when we were there that this was the one. However, my mom told me I had to look at a few more so we also checked out a couple wineries and other venues and nothing compared to Nestldown.\r\rWe booked a year in advance and chose Friday, August 8th since 8-8 is good luck and we were both born in '88. Also because Friday is more affordable, 10k (for up to 150 people) versus 15k (for up to 150 people) for a Saturday.\rThe price to me was totally worth it, the ambiance was amazing, being surrounded by all the redwoods was truly breathtaking and ALL our guests were as amazed as we were being surrounded by nature. Plus, the venue does not need a lot of decoration, it is already gorgeous all around. We did minimal floral decoration in the ceremony area and added personal touches to the barn area. Even though it was summer, I chose to have dinner in the barn mainly because of the flies that are out in the summer. The barn seats up to 125 guests comfortably and we had 115 guests. After dinner, we just pushed the tables back to make room for a dance floor. Oh man, we had so much fun! The only thing I wish is that we could have rented the venue out for a longer amount of time- we had to do the last dance at 9:30pm since everyone had to be out by 10pm since ND is in a neighborhood with time restraints on parties (boo!).\rPlanning at ND isn't the easiest but if you're on top of your stuff, it's not so bad- it's just coordinating who has to be where and when since there are multiple separate areas to this venue.\rLooking back at it, we would not have chosen any other place to have our wedding. Talking to our guests after the wedding, the most common remark is that it was the funnest/best wedding they had been to and that ND was absolutely gorgeous!\r Reviewed on 10-09-2014

I can't say enough wonderful things about this venue; the staff is top notch, it's unlike anything else I saw and absolutely breathtaking! Reviewed on 11-05-2012
LeighAnne Holtzman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-11-2011 Nestldown is absolutely a beautiful place to get married. The people who work there are also extremely helpful and make the whole experience so easy. Brooke is the primary contact and is almost a coordinator onsite when it comes to the big day. She organized all of the vendors setup flawlessly, ensured everyone got down the very long aisle successfully, poured champagne for me and the girls, and even bustled my gown. If you are considering a location in the south Bay Area, you must go see this place. Reviewed on 06-12-2011
Valerie Ebert(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-07-2011 The best place in California to get married outside. Our guest were in awe of the venue. It is expensive, but worth it for the awesome pictures and memories Reviewed on 25-07-2011
Jen Seibert(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-03-2011 I wouldn't have been able to afford this venue if we didn't get it in March - the off season. And it was still stretching our budget. But it was worth it!!! The staff knew exactly what they were doing, it was like having a day-of coordinator included. It was beautiful. We got so many complements that it was most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The only downside was how expensive it was, but I would do it again. We were so lucky that the weather was perfect. If I had the money, I wouldn't mind spending the full amount for in-season. Reviewed on 07-04-2011

We couldn't have been more taken care of, or more happier. All our guest said this was \"the perfect wedding!\" Reviewed on 22-10-2010
Elissa Hirschmann(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-07-2010 I can't imagine a more beautiful place for the wedding. While it is a bit pricey, the service received is without compare, from Brooke, your helpful event coordinator, to the rest of the staff driving the golf cart, the London taxi, and organizing everything else. This place is drop dead gorgeous. A natural Redwood chapel is the perfect ceremony site, and the lawn and \"barn\" are beautiful for the reception. Our guests continue to compliment our wedding site. Colleen Neroda(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-07-2010 Our wedding at Nestldown was like a fairy tale. Brooke Greene and the staff were a dream to work with and made everything so easy. I remember at our last meeting before the wedding Brooke said to me, \"Wherever you are at any point that day, it will be where you are supposed to be.\" We really got to enjoy the day and everything ran so smoothly!\r\rThe site itself is unparalleled in my opinion. The ceremony takes place in a redwood chapel that is fully wired for sound and overlooks a gorgeous pond. You stand under a huge arbor covered in wisteria. It is very shaded, so even in July our guests were not uncomfortable.\r\rWe had our dinner in the meadow next to the barn since we had so many guests (150) and dancing and cake in the barn. The barn did get warm with all those people but not warm enough that anyone stopped dancing! It was a perfect night.\r\rOur guests are still raving about Nestldown and I've had so many people tell me it was the most beautiful place they'd ever been to for a wedding. The kids loved the tree house and boccie ball and EVERYONE rode the train during cocktail hour! I thought only the kids would be really into it, but our guests lined up and had a blast.\r\rWe had our wedding on a Friday in order to save a bit on the price. We paid $8500. Saturday is the most expensive, then Sunday, then Friday, then other weekdays. We did have a few people unable to make it because of work, but for the most part people were able to take off Friday only (the wedding was at 4:30) and then stay through the weekend to enjoy the area! \r\rI don't regret using Nestldown for a second. You do have to choose from their catering list, but all other vendors do not have to come from their list (though the ones we used were mostly from the list and were all great). \r\rWe had 150 people and probably spent close to $40,000 (yeah, initial budget out the window) including travel and hotel since we are from out of state. The biggest cost besides the venue is the catering, which is a per person cost. If you have a smaller wedding I would imagine you could spend a lot less. If we were extremely thrifty we probably could have cut back to $30,000-33,000. Reviewed on 09-08-2010
