Nestled in the rolling green fields that surround greater Lafayette, IN, New Journey Farms is a rural wedding venue. At this venue, rustic sensibilities are seamlessly blended with chic decor for a unique twist on a barn setting. It has a serene atmosphere but is located near all of the modern facilities you could want. With space for up to 350 guests, you are invited to celebrate your love surrounded by elegance and charm. Owned by Mike and Robin Humphrey, the idea for New Journey Farms began at a wedding reception. They began to see ways they could enhance couples’ special days, which was only fueled by helping their daughter plan her wedding. They took note of everything that influenced choosing the right setting, from location to price. With the encouragement of their new knowledge, construction on this venue began. They made sure to make it wheelchair accessible, with climate-controlled interiors for the ultimate comfort. From its seat on 13 acres of land, New Journey Farms is easily accessible from major highways and nearby hotels. You are welcomed to celebrate both ceremony and reception here, with your choice of indoor and outdoor settings. In total, there are 8,000 square feet of available event space, including the indoor reception area of 5,400 square feet. Upstairs, you will find spacious, comfortable get-ready rooms with private bathrooms. A wheelchair-accessible suite is also available. Leading from the upper rooms to the main floor, a dramatic, modern staircase lends itself to your grand entrance. While the sun is up, the room is flooded with natural light through its tall windows. When night has started to come down, contemporary light fixtures are happy to take over and softly illuminate your celebrations. The patio and covered front porch offer an elegant space for you to mingle with your guests while you sip on a celebratory cocktail. For outdoor ceremonies, a picturesque pergola stands proudly in front of the lush green grounds that surround the property. Your caterer might enjoy the convenience of a modern staging area to skillfully prepare your meal. Included with your rental of this venue are tables, chairs, linens, and audiovisual equipment. Mike and Robin are happy to help you with event coordination and set-up.

We got married in December at New Journey Farms and the entire venue experience was perfect. They were very accommodating with multiple walk through visits. There is so much space here it made it easy not to worry about comfort. We had plenty of room for vendors, guests and the bridal party all day long. Robin & Mike were fantastic to work with and went above and beyond what any venue owner needed to do. We are so thankful for them and helping make our day perfect!

New Journey Farms was the perfect place for our wedding! The owners are absolutely wonderful, incredibly friendly, and go out of their way to ensure you have a smooth day. They made sure all of the little hiccups were taken care of throughout the day. Be sure to use Sarah for decorations if you do book here!! She did a beautiful job and it made our lives so much easier the day of!

New Journey Farms is truly a one-of-a-kind venue. My husband and I got married at NJF on 11-18-2022 and like most, it was the best day of our lives. Picking a venue for us was one of the most important decisions in wedding planning because we knew that whatever venue we chose is what set the vision for our big day. Jared and I looked up several venues close to home on The Knot and NOTHING stuck out to us so we broadened our search and that’s when we found NJF. Robin and Mike responded to our inquiry about checking out the venue in a timely matter and were extremely flexible for when we could visit (we live an hour and a half from the venue and we both work full time, so we thought it would be impossible to schedule). As soon as we stepped foot into the venue, we knew it was the one. This venue is a blank canvas in the most beautiful way; it essentially allows you to design your dream day from scratch! There’s no tacky carpet like at banquet halls, no specific vendor list that you must pick from, and no hidden fees or hidden requirements in the contract. The bridal suite and the grooms suite were both very spacious and comfortable for us and our bridal party (along with my hair and makeup team as well). All that to say, the best part about choosing NJF is Mike and Robin. Not only did they make our planning so smooth and stress-free, but it truly felt like we had another set of parents there cheering us on. Choosing NJF was the easiest decision for us, I hope it’s just as easy for you!

On September 24th we got married at New Journey Farms and it went absolutely perfect. The venue is beautiful and Mike & Robin are the sweetest! They were so helpful and were there the whole day. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue. 100% recommend New Journey Farms, you won’t regret it!

We really couldn’t have been more thrilled with how the day turned out. We had a lot of curve balls thrown at us through the planning process, but always knew that we could rely on NJF as they always ensured everything was in order and perfect for us. We felt completely cared for and understood. Not only that, but we could’ve had no decorations and it still would have looked beautiful because of how stunning the venue is! I so highly recommend them that I’ll be encouraging all of my friends and family to get married there just so that we can go back!

New Journey Farms was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding day. When you book with New Journey Farms, you’re getting a lot more than just a venue. There are many other venues where you are required to provide certain things (to name a few: decor, parking attendants, people to set up/tear down, ceremony chairs, etc.). New Journey Farms either provides these things for you or helps you with them, which speaks to their professionalism and desire to make your wedding day exactly what you envision. Their facilities are extremely clean and really well maintained. Mike and Robin are incredibly kind and easy-going people. We had a great time working with them and everything was so easy! Not only are they great to work with, but NJF is beautiful. I cannot say enough kind words about New Journey Farms and how great it was to have our wedding there.

From the moment we walked in to New Journey, we knew it was where we wanted to have our special day. Mike & Robin are absolute godsends and worked with us to reschedule our date after Covid messed up our plans. We finally had the most wonderful event on our first anniversary. The facility was the perfect canvas to execute our Great Gatsby themed party. Working with the facility and coordinating with vendors was easy and straightforward. I appreciate that Mike & Robin had a comprehensive contract that outlined responsibilities and contingencies. I would love to have another event at New Journey Farms… maybe for our 5-year anniversary! 💗💗💗

From the natural lighting, to the open space and beautiful outdoor ceremony area, New Journey Farms was the perfect venue for our August wedding. Not only did we fall in the love with the venue but we also loved working with Mike & Robin and the rest of the NJF staff. The staff was super helpful the day of the wedding and made sure everything ran as smooth as possible. They all exceeded our expectations and made wedding planning easier. New Journey Farms is such a neutral space which makes it perfect for any wedding theme. We highly recommend this venue!!

Our wedding at New Journey Farms could not have gone better! Mike and Robin, the owners of New Journey, were amazing to work with. They went above and beyond in every step of the wedding process. The venue, itself, exceeded our expectations. We received compliments throughout the night on how nice the venue was. The brides and groom suites were very spacious, the ceremony area was very nice, and the reception area was perfect. If we had to do our wedding all over again, we would choose New Journey Farms as our venue every single time.

This venue is so beautiful our guests could not stop talking about it for weeks after our wedding. The outdoor space was perfect for younger kids to run around and the scenery around the venue is incredible. I particularly loved the bridal and groom suites as well as the simplistic yet modern feel to the venue. We felt so blessed to have our wedding at this venue and would recommend it to anyone!

From the beautiful outdoor ceremony site, to the golf cart shuttles for guest, to the open concept reception space, everything was perfect. This venue is the perfect neutral space to create the wedding of your dreams. The white walls, black accents, and natural light from the all the windows left us perfect backdrop to create our perfect May wedding. Not only is the venue gorgeous, the owners and their helpers are phenomenal. They truly do everything they can to make sure the day goes smoothly. From big things like setting up the ceremony chairs perfectly outside to accommodating our getting ready start time the morning of our wedding. This was the first wedding my family has planned, and they made it so easy. They answered all of our questions and set us up for success from the very beginning. There was such an ease working with Mike and Robin at NJF and will recommend them over and over again.

Meet the New Journey Farms Team
Mike and Robin Humphrey (Owner) Our venue journey began while attending a wedding reception 7 years ago. It started our dream, and gave us ideas on how to improve the overall wedding experience. Our dream gained momentum in 2018 and while trying to find the right venue for our oldest daughter’s wedding. Location, # of guests, convenience, amenities, and price were all factors that we considered. Nothing fit all of those needs—and New Journey Farms went from an idea to reality. Our newly constructed venue offers a chic interior, large private bridal suites, ADA access, and climate controlled to for all seasons.
