New Vintage Place was the absolute best venue we could have picked. We loved the openness of the ceremony space, the room we had for reception and dancing, the light additions, the incredible bar. We also loved the staff we worked with! Sammy was our coordinator and she made sure we had everything we needed leading up to and the day off! Keeping our floor plans updated with our count list, working with us to make a couple last minute decisions, talking us through the whole process with each thing we asked. Everything was incredible and we would 100% reconnect NVP for any kind of venue you need! Reviewed on 16-11-2023

New Vintage Place truly helped facilitate our dream day. We booked a couple of years ahead and they were responsive the entire time. Sammie as the event coordinator was amazing. We had a number of unique requests especially related to the bar and she helped find everything we wanted. The venue is perfect for indoor and outdoor photos. It was a rainy day the day of our event and our couple photos against the black wall turned out to be beautiful! Reviewed on 12-11-2023

I will be telling everyone to use this venue. From the initial tour to the big day, they were wonderful to work with. They have multiple payment options, service packages, etc, and are happy to suggest amazing vendors. The bride and groom suites were perfect, and I LOVE that they have their own parking lot in case guests have a little TOO much fun and Uber home, so they don’t have to worry about cars being towed in public parking. Beautiful venue, communicative and friendly staff. Our wedding was perfect. Reviewed on 03-10-2023

I went back and forth between good and average. I settled on good just because the venue is so pretty. The Staff on the other hand do not understand the words customer service. My daughter was married there last weekend. On Tuesday only days before the wedding I spoke to the on-site coordinator and asked if she would be present the day of the wedding to be my point of contact. She told me that she would not be there but would send us an email with a full list of who would be on site that day. That email never came. I served as the main point of contact and when I arrived at noon (as instructed) there was no one there to greet me or give me a rundown / tour of the facility. I had to hunt someone down. Things went well from there as I began meeting vendors and getting things set up. Moments before the ceremony was to begin (and I mean moments...I was already standing in the back of the room waiting for the bridal party to come up the stairs), the father of the groom and I were approached by the on-site events coordinator and the bar manager that we \"had a situation\". Apparently, there was outside alcohol brought into the grooms dressing area. Fully aware that outside alcohol is NOT allowed the FOB prepared to give a firm scolding to the guys...after the ceremony. I thought is showed extremely poor taste to approach us so close to the ceremony when it could clearly have been handled after. After the ceremony I proceeded to the bar area with the guests for the cocktail hour. Upon attempting to order a drink I was once again approached by the bar manager that additional outside alcohol was found in the grooms dressing area. She was so rude to me that I started crying. Said that it was our \"second strike and she was going to write us up!\" Once I started crying she said \"don't worry this happens at every wedding\". Seriously? Turns out the groomsmen didn't bring in any outside alcohol it was from guests who were friends of the groomsmen and crashed their dressing room. Now, aside from frisking everyone that walks in the venue how are we supposed to know if someone has sneaked something in? Once dinner began and the bar reopened there was a rush at the bar (typical). The groom attempted to cut the line and the bartender told him he needed to get to the back of the line. The GROOM! Thankfully the FOB was nearby and put a stop to that. After dinner I pulled the bar manager aside and instructed her that anyone in the bridal party or anyone wearing a flower could cut the line. She advised her staff and we didn't have any other issues but apparently she didn't like it very much because two separate unrelated guests came up to me and said they observed the bar manager openly complaining about me to her team. Very unprofessional. Further, several of the bridal party who have been to weddings or who know people who have been to weddings at New Vintage Place have also complained that the bar staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. Tip to the New Vintage Place, get a new bar staff. Oh and also, buy an easel. What kind of event venue doesn't even have an easel? Reviewed on 13-06-2023

We absolutely loved our wedding at New Vintage Place. Our event coordinator, Samantha, was great to work with and was very helpful in planning the day and answering the tons and tons of questions we had. The venue itself is gorgeous and very affordable, considering you get the entire building reserved. The day-of bar staff and managers were also very professional. We would highly recommend having your wedding here! Thanks for making our special day so perfect. Reviewed on 07-06-2023
Sarah Bakker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2022 Overall, we had a pretty good experience with New Vintage Place. After working out some kinks with communication, the coordinator was very pleasant to work with and everything turned out beautifully. The bar is run through New Vintage Place and offers three packages, without much flexibility. I do love that they offer signature drinks in the packages now. Reviewed on 10-11-2022
Shannon Lizotte(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2022 Fell in love with the venue before we even visited. Overall easy to work with. Andy S(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2022 Our experience with this venue was both good and bad. For the good parts- the venue is beautiful, spacious with a large bar and an amazing wedding asthmatic. For the bad parts, communication was poor and they charge you for every little thing down to turning the bistro lights on. Communicating with this venue is tough-it is all through email and I was never given a number of a contact person for even the day of the event. I experienced cancelled meetings, and no response to emails unless the email was about a payment. The bar packages are extremely expensive and I was told there would be certain beverages on tap that were apparently not there the day of the wedding so my bar menu was incorrect. My caterer arrived at the venue a half hour early and they were not allowed into the venue despite a worker from new vintage place being present on-site, resulting in my caterer being delayed. Overall, our wedding was beautiful but we would recommend other venues that may offer better communication and policies. Reviewed on 09-10-2022
Nicole Keith(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-03-2021 We had our wedding at New Vintage Place. This is one of many properties under the owner. We made all necessary arrangements ahead of time with the manager of New Vintage Place including paying for extra time so we had more than only a few hours after the ceremony for the reception. We were there for hours, setting up and getting ready without any issue before the owner decided he wanted to change the arrangement. We had already begun the ceremony at this point and within minutes of me planning to walk down the aisle, he wanted to renegotiate terms and threatened that if we didn't agree, he wouldn't allow us to continue the ceremony. One thing that was clear was that he seemed to be concerned with being able to leave early as he apparently wasn't aware we had purchased additional time. As I heard the music start that I was supposed to walk down the aisle to, I desperately suggested that we would cut our event short in order to simply beable to continue our ceremony. The owner seemed pleased with this new arrangement but I was appaled with his lack of integrity. After the ceremony we only had a couple hours to eat and have minimal festivities. We didn't even get a first dance (or really any time to dance). We were very rushed and had to spend time cleaning up when we should have still been enjoying our special day. The owner has forever tarnished the memory of our once in a life time moment. His lack of integrity cost us having the opportunity to celebrate our big day and that's something we can never get back. I would never recommend this venue or any of his other properties for any type of event. Reviewed on 05-09-2021

The team at new vintage place was wonderful to work with and really went the extra mile to make sure our day would be what we envisioned even with COVID threatening to impact our date! I originally did not want to even look at the venue due to the photos online but it was stunning upon arrival. We rented out the entire building for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It was one-stop shopping at it's finest. The only thing to take into consideration is that it is a very large venue and decorations/lighting can start to add up but is 100% worth it. Erinn Novicki(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2018 This venue is amazing. It was the first place we looked at on our hunt for a venue and we loved it from the moment we stepped inside. The high lofted ceilings and big windows, the brick all around and the beautiful center atrium are some of the highlights. Plenty of cool places for pictures inside and around the property. One of the best things is that you can have your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all within the same building- your guests don't have to travel all over. All of our guests were from out of town so this was perfect for us. We also loved the convenience of West Michigan Caterer that they are the sole caterer for New Vintage Place. We didn't have to search out catering/bar service- you sign with NVP you get West Michigan Caterer, and the food is fantastic and bar service was great. Loved working with Andrea and Peter. They were super responsive and helpful whenever we had questions, and were super accommodating to any requests we had. Would absolutely recommend New Vintage Place! Reviewed on 16-08-2018
Taylor Deschaine-Hurd(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-06-2018 We used this space for our ceremony and reception with about 88 guests. We had space for 6 farm tables as well as 5 rounds. Andrea was an absolute dream to work with. The food was AMAZING. We did family style with blackened salmon and steak. The salmon was a huge hit. The bridal suite was very nice, it has a one way mirror in it so you can see people arriving to the ceremony space. My only complaint is that the bar is so far away from the reception space. Thinking ahead I probably would have asked if we could get a small bar station in the reception space. The space around the venue was great for taking photos. I would recommend this venue/caterer to anyone. Reviewed on 03-07-2018

Peter was prompt and informative to our numerous questions and follow-up and went above and beyond on a number of occasions, when we \"just needed to see the space one more time,\" or \"On second thought- we do want to add some late night food options...\" There is no denying that Peter puts his client's needs and preferences first and his staff is no exception to that mantra. Elizabeth Barry(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-06-2017 We worked with Andrea who is detail oriented and is really accommodating the needs of the event. She's delightful and so sweet! It's a stunning venue! We have gotten nothing but compliments from friends and family who attended our wedding. For our wedding we had reserved the whole building which was really wonderful for our guests. It was a nice day so people could go outside during cocktail hour too. Some criticisms would be- We had difficulty coming up with a seating plan for more than 200 guests for the reception in either the loft or the ballroom. We had a live band which took up some extra space as well. Be aware that either space is not going to be comfortable with more than probably 160-180 people. Because it's gotten popular quickly I don't think they have enough administrative staffing in place. While we were in the process of planning the wedding I think they had some staffing changes and emails were not always answered in a timely manner. At first the service was really poor and our preferred date was given away even though we had put a hold on it. Luckily we were able to reserve the following weekend without too much hassle and they gave us an extra hour of time for the reception. The food was pretty good- we did a plated dinner and that always provides its challenges but over all good. The service from the wait staff during the reception and cocktail hour were great! Overall I would recommend this venue and West Michigan Caterer. Reviewed on 09-06-2017
