The event planner, Kat, was good to work with. She was always responsive when we reached out to her and flexible as plans changed several times in the months leading up to our wedding. The space is intimate, and needs little decorations to feel elegant. the food was so tasty, too! We hired a decorator but the venue can provide assistance setting up your decorations at no additional cost. What was not great was how noisy the restaurant below was during our ceremony. People were belting \"sweet caroline\" while we exchanged our vows; people later said they couldn't hear us over the bustle below, even though we had a microphones and speakers from our DJ. The other thing was the cost. NYBP has a $7k spending minimum, and our wedding came to just under that - however we did not know up front that additional fees would be included, and ended up paying about $9.8k for a 5hr wedding with ~40 guests.Pros: beautiful space, accommodating planner, good foodCons: noise level, difficult to budget in advance Reviewed on 23-11-2023
Rebecca Wittcop(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-11-2022 NYBP was the perfect venue for our wedding and Kat is like your own personal wedding fairy- she went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Our guests could not stop raving about the amazing food and drinks. We even had guests go back the next day to get more beer to take home. The bartenders were so fun and kept everyone will supplied. NYBP truly is a beautiful spot and we could not have asked for more. Reviewed on 15-11-2022
Marissa V(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2022 NYBP- best venue ever!!! From the minute we started working with her Kat was an awesome coordinator. So helpful in the months leading up, got back to all my questions right away, had answers for questions I didn't even know I had. She knows her stuff, executed it all PERFECTLY (seriously not a single thing went wrong on our wedding day and I don't know a single other person who can say that) and she was so friendly, chill, funny, down to earth throughout it all. Her and their events chef sat down with us for our tasting and went over all the possibilities for the meals we chose. She reminded me to breathe before walking down the aisle. She set up our decor exactly like I asked for and at the end of the night she took care of it all and before I even knew it it was all back in my labeled bags. The servers and bartenders were all amazing also! Crew completely rocked it. As for the venue itself the other reviewers are right that the space is really unique and awesome. When we were going table to table to talk to everyone during dinner everyone kept telling us what a great venue we had. We had a plated dinner in the large main space, and the ceremony was in the side room, which was then converted into the dance floor. People could go in there to dance when they heard their song come on, but people could still hang out, talk to each other, grab drinks from the bar in the main space. The outdoor terrace with the string lights was a huge hit too and having drinks out there with our friends/fam was such a nice part of the night. The brewing area was awesome too, we got some great pictures in there! Best night ever- thank you so much for everything! Reviewed on 05-11-2022
Jenna Pawarski(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-08-2022 This is a full review from start to finish. The coordinator changed hands about 4 times and not a single time were we contacted and it was an absolute mess every time we had questions until they finally had a permanent solution. also almost caused us to change. And for anyone who decides to start and end early and express that you will go downstairs to buy drinks * note that they don't disclose to you that they won't serve you or anyone else from your event even if you haven't even had time to drink... They never moved tables for the dance floor like they said they would to make space. Day of event ended up mostly ok besides those points but nothing above and beyond. Reviewed on 17-08-2022
Lisa Bonacci(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-06-2021 This review is for the VICTOR location. The venue is gorgeous. Unfortunately, that’s where compliments end.We had 4 different planners, as they kept changing or quitting. A manager advised we could have live music, just as we were about contract with a band, were told that we could NOT. Almost a COSTLY mistake. They only had oval tablecloths for rectangle tables. We were told we’d have to set up our own decor the morning of (no problem). But upon arrival, the room was not ready and was filthy. Food on the floor and sticky tables/chairs. We paid $1200 in administrative fees for set up in the contract. The room hadn’t been cleaned prior to closing the night before, chairs were on dirty tables and none of them had been placed according to agreed floor plan. Only staff member was our event coordinator, Meghan who was on week 3 of the job and was just as surprised. She said, “it’s ok we will be able to do it quickly with so many of us.” We didn’t realize that by “us” she meant my family.I still can’t believe how crazy this was. No additional staff were sent to help. The bride, groom, mother, father, and sister spent 2 1/2 HOURS the morning of the wedding getting it ready. We assembled the room, wiped sticky beer and dirt off tables to get them clean. Gross. After moving tables, cleaning, and (finally) decorating, we got it to a place where we felt comfortable with how it looked. Meanwhile we missed lunch with out-of-town guests. As you can imagine, it was a very stressful wedding morning. The party arrived and guests said it looked beautiful. I wish I could have said everything after went smoothly. They promised cloth napkin roll ups, instead put out paper. Promised to set up water station, did not do so. The groom set up audio/visual because there was no one to help. I had to let them know the bathrooms needed TP.The food was also a disappointment.-The fruit was supposed to have whipped cream and didn't-NO FORKS OR NAPKINS on ANY of the appetizer tables. Guests ate greasy spring rolls/fruit/hotdogs with their hands!-My mom had to let them know they ran out of plates-The artisanal cheese board was basic cheese and crackers, certainly nothing fancy-We upgraded to the Signature NYBP Dessert Table which was described as \"a work of edible art\" was actually was trays of cookies/brownies (looked like BJs). The ONLY pastry was a cream puff that must have had cleaner sprayed nearby, they tasted like windex and were tossed. For the champagne toast, no one provided a glass to the bride, groom or parents. My dad toasted holding up the microphone!Around 9pm, my mom remembered we ordered a special meal for a GF guest. She had not received it.But most embarrassing was the end. We were told we could extend by 1hr and decided that night. Instead, exactly 10p when everyone was having a great time, our planner abruptly turned off music and turned on lights. Our planner approached my parents in front of guests and told them servers’ gratuities were not included and asked if we wanted to tip them now. It was so inappropriate and put my parents on the spot.A few days later, my parents met with the manager about our experience. The response was to refund the dessert. They took NO OWNERSHIP, not even an apology for literally cleaning their entire reception hall ourselves, saying the room was “show ready”.Brides, if you’re looking for a DIY location for a casual wedding, then go for it. But if you have even basic expectations, go elsewhere. Reviewed on 27-07-2021
Mike B(groom)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-10-2019 Suzanne was a pleasure to work with. She was very responsive to our multiple messages about our event. She was a far cry from her predecessor and his lack of responses that made organizing our dinner frustrating early on. We had an issue with a check that was lost in the mail. However we don’t know if that was the fault of USPS or NYBP. The food was delicious and we wish we could have taken it home. However, we were told that the food is not allowed to leave which we found very odd and unfortunate because we paid for it. I would definitely recommend booking here. It is a great restaurant with a vast beer selection that people will surely enjoy. Reviewed on 19-11-2019

Jen Whitmore(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-08-2019 Wedding reception planning is not my forte, not to mention I live out of state and couldn’t visit the venue beforehand. Thankfully I didn’t have to worry about a thing with New York Beer Project; I literally booked the venue, chose my menu and music and they took care of the rest!! Suzanne and team set up the room beautifully- the atmosphere was perfection. The bartender kept all of our guests glasses full all afternoon and the brunch selection was absolutely delicious. It was so good in fact my cousin booked her baby shower there a few weekends after! Highly recommended! Reviewed on 27-10-2019
Caitlin Beck(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2019 NYBP was the perfect venue for us, and we think it would be for lots of other couples. My husband and I had 160 guests at our wedding. We are beer lovers, who love games, dancing, and deep conversation. Why is that important for this review? Because NYBP facilitated a party that upheld all of those passions. Our bar packaged included craft beers, which is such a rare thing at weddings. Folks loved having the craft options. Because we had a larger number, we rented out the whole second floor. The main dining room was where we ate, but we did not have the dance floor in that room. It was off to the side in the \"Cask Room.\" This created a really unique environment for a wedding. The dance floor was open and inviting, so folks who wanted to dance filled the Cask Room, but the dining room remained a place of conversation. We loved this feature. Related, there was so much space!!! The second floor has the main dining room, an outdoor patio, the cask room, and another little area off of the dining room. Folks were all over the place and enjoyed the night however they wanted. It was fun for my husband and I to meet people where they felt most comfortable (i.e. dancing, chatting at a high top table outside, getting a drink at the bar, sitting at their assigned dining table, playing lawn games). The food was AMAZING! We had a buffet package. We chose 3 entrees, and 2 sides, and had a side salad. We have gone to a lot of weddings where we were pretty bored by the dishes. Your same old steak or chicken dish. NYBP is not that! We had sliders and brisket at our wedding. We could have gotten mac and cheese, and should have! For folks who want something more classic, they do have those options. We just loved our guests telling us who extraordinary our wedding was. They said it stuck out, and the food was a big reason for that. We also got appetizers: fried pickles, brie pastries, and quesadilla cones... Amazing! If you want memorable food, book this venue!Related, our guests really have only said positive things about our reception. That is NYBP is out of the ordinary. If you want to remember a unique wedding for the rest of your life, really book this place. Most importantly, the staff is fabulous. Suzanne, our coordinator went above and beyond to meet our needs. I am a pretty pushy and needy human. I like charts and diagrams. I sent her about one new chart a week, and she never stopped responding. She just kept up with me, making sure I felt confident about our wedding day. She leads her crew well too. Whatever I communicated to her, made it back to her team. And her team, totally took care of us and our guests. Everything was beautiful, everything was better than we imagined. Matt and I worried about absolutely nothing the day of, because of this great staff! Way to go Suzanne and company! I cannot say this enough, this venue is so unique. We wanted something that represented us as a couple. We care deeply about our friends and family. We wanted to meet the needs of every person who came to our wedding. NYBP helped us do that. It is a venue for many personalities. It is a venue for dancing, laughter, good conversation, great beer, great food, games. It is a venue for a guaranteed good time. Thank you for starting our marriage off in such a beautiful way, NYBP! You all are fabulous! OH LAST THOUGHT- This venue is super affordable! Reviewed on 23-07-2019
Kacey Banaszek(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2019 We do not reccomend NYBP for your wedding. The original wedding planner made HUGE promises, then was fired and we were not notified. The owner and new CEO then took over our wedding and increased our pricing and denied us of a significant amount of choices despite a signed contract from 6 months prior when we booked the venue. It was basically like starting the planning process over 2 months away from the wedding. At the change from the ceremony to reception we were told that the guests could go on the balcony or enjoy the open bar, however, they made all of our guests leave and go downstairs to the brewery, including some of our very elderly and less mobile guests. ALL of the center piece items that we brought in were left in the boxes and placed under a table and were not displayed with the flowers. There was NO ONE coordinating the ceremony and processional, which as it was discussed the CEO would be doing. Our guest book was put in a dark corner and only 4 people saw it and signed it. We ordered a TON of food and are 100% certain it all was not served. Guests were going downstairs to order additional food. The open bar was severely understaffed, as were the serves. My husband and I were not offered food EVEN ONCE during the entire reception. We never once even saw a server. The next morning when we went to collect our centerpieces and decorative items nearly ALL of it had been thrown away- my MIL wanted to preserve some of the flowers and make wreaths with the greenery that she spent thousands of dollars on. We highly DO NOT recommend this venue. Reviewed on 16-07-2019
