Located in the heart of Newport Beach, CA, Newport Dunes offers a picturesque setting for waterfront weddings. We offer a variety of venues including sandy beach weddings, gazebo, garden, and pavilion settings. Backdrops include a marina or waterfront beach. Our unique location set along the Back Bay offers a calm, waveless bay. We can host weddings for up to 350 people.
We invite you to explore photos of our past wedding to see the gorgeous venues we offer. Our staff is highly experienced in planning and delivering stress-free weddings. We would love to host your most cherished day.
Leah Carter(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-05-2022 Stay away from this venue! They don't communicate. They don't follow through. Seriously this venue made my life a living hell. Booking a large party literally next to our wedding area. Waisted almost 2K in late night snacks. No one knew that there was food. The staff had it tucked away in another room. Allowing guests to come into the reception area and set up camp before the ceremony even started. Acting like they didn't know why that was happening. Literally told me \"I don't know\" 20 min before we walked down the aisle. This enraged me. The photographers hadn't arrived yet and the table setting were getting messed up. I could go on and on. I have a years worth of disappointment and stress. Oh! The fact that I had to replan the whole thing in 30 days because we had to switch venues. Tons of cake left over, the thinest slices we had ever seen all of our guests said something to us. They didn't cut anymore then the first round. Nothing left on the cake table for guests to come up and grab a second slice. This is NOT a wedding venue. Maybe they're better with smaller events. I don't know. But I will NEVER book there again and I will tell anyone not to have their wedding at the Dunes. The office staff is terrible and it seems no real supervision from the higher ups. I gave the GM of the sales department a rough draft before posting this on every platform possible. She blew me off. Keep searching friends! I wish I had. Reviewed on 06-07-2022
Skye Wheeler(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-04-2013 Newport Dunes was the PERFECT location for our wedding. We used the gazebo and it was our dream beach wedding without all of the wind since we were in a bay! The gazebo area is very well kept up...green grass, white picket fence, and beautiful flowers! The reception was at the Back Bay Bistro and I loved it! All glass wall, overlooking the water, nice flooring (no ugly hotel carpet here!) so you don't even need a \"dance floor\ Reviewed on 13-05-2013
Nikki Daugherty(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2012 The Dunes is absolutely gorgeous, the wedding looked amazing. However, the mechanics behind it were terrible. Our coordinator, whom I paid for to be there the entire night (part of the dunes wedding package), ditched my wedding. He lined us up and left.. My groom and I were in line with one another! We told him that we wanted the groom to see me at the alter and yet we were standing in the group lined up to the ceremony (which is also bad luck!) Then he did not put out our seating chart so no one knew where to sit. The rest of the evening he was gone! He placed my tossing bouquet on the GIFT TABLE and didn't tell any one so we couldn't find it until I got up and looked there, our evening dinner was outside and yet no one lit our table candles, lastly when it came time for cake cutting I had to cut my cake with a BUTTER KNIFE!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The coordinator did not give the wait staff our cake cutting knife THEN the wait staff told me that I am supposed to cut and serve my OWN CAKE to everyone because the coordinator did not inform them that they had to do it. Oh I let them have an ear right there and the lady apologized and did the cake. I'm Thankful for our entertainment (which was not affiliated with the dunes) because he took control once he noticed there was no coordinator and had our wedding run very smoothly. The 2 stars I put on here is for the gorgeous scenery and the food. Food was to die for! As for the mechanics, the Dunes is not a place for a wedding, and you need a well organize planner to help you through the evening. A bride can't enjoy and time schedule her own wedding. Amy Orloski(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-04-2012 We had our reception in the restaurant so our cost was a little higher but they also do receptions on the beach outdoors which would be very affordable. Very helpful staff, excellent food, and a great value for a beach wedding! Reviewed on 10-05-2012
Crystal Johnson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-06-2011 The Bayview Garden and Room was the prefect, personal spot for our recpetion for 65 people..The fairy lights in the pergola, the trailing bouganvilla, the spanish style bungalow, the lush garden was the perfect setting for our rustic, romantic fairytale wedding. The set up was just as we'd asked, the food was absolutely fabulous and the chocolate fountains were a huge hit! Rob Decanter and the staff at Newport Dunes were so helpful and acommodating, they made it all possible and were so easy to work with. Reviewed on 12-07-2011
