Just had my incredible wedding at Oak Lodge this past weekend. The venue itself is gorgeous. We were able to rent all of the onsite accommodations to have family and friends stay with us for the weekend. The food is outstanding. We've received oodles of compliments about how special and different the Wedding Village is. Log. Cabin. Chapel. Come on. There is a character limit on this review form, or I would rave about them until the end of my days.Beyond how fabulous the setting, food, accommodations and magical everything this venue has to offer, the staff are TOP NOTCH. Alyssa, our venue event coordinator, is a wizard. She has your back covered on every single detail.I love my husband so much, and we've both joked in the few days since that we should get divorced just so we can get married there again and do it all over. Pure perfection. We can't wait to return for anniversary visits.

Deciding to have a wedding weekend at Oak Lodge was the best decision we could have ever made. We live out of state but Alyssa made me feel like I was there with her the whole way. She handled everything with ease and made it to where we could truly relax and enjoy our wedding weekend. The food for both rehearsal dinner and reception was PHENOMENAL!! Every single staff member we interacted with was incredible. Thank you Oak Lodge for making our wedding weekend a weekend we will never forget.

I will never run out of good things to say about our experience holding our wedding at Oak Lodge. Every detail was executed impeccably. Alyssa was such an amazing support across the two years we planned our wedding. She always answered every question, entertained every idea I had, and made sure our guests had a phenomenal time all weekend. Everything ran so smoothly that guests kept asking me “why are you so chill,” and I knew it was because Alyssa had everything under control. Even down to taking behind the scenes videos of my husband and I while our photographer took couple portraits, she was thinking 10 steps ahead of my brain. Not only is the venue absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but the staff and food alone are reasons to check out Oak Lodge. Anything Chef Auggie makes is to die for. He even made a point to stop at our sweetheart table the day of the wedding to make sure everything was to our liking. EVERY. DETAIL. the staff nailed. We can’t wait to visit again, we have found a home away from home getaway in Oak Lodge.

Oak lodge is a beautiful venue! A faux 1800’s town with a log cabin chapel and log outbuildings on 800 acres! My daughters wedding was held here and it was perfect! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you and your guests are happy. You are provided with a wedding coordinator for the day and everything is taken care of. You give them decorations, center pieces etc and tell them what you want and poof, it is done! I can’t say enough about how wonderful Alyssa, Matt, the chefs and waitstaff were and how they made the entire day run smoothly. Matt even comped the officiant’s rental cabin as he was an older gentleman and it was more convenient for him him to stay onsite. I was going to pay and Matt said, “I got it “. The food is also superb!

The rooms, the incredible staff, the beauty of the scenery, it was all perfect. Matt, the manager, worked with us on the timeline of the wedding and helped us over and over again the day of. He also drove us to the properties most photogenic locations for our photos and we couldn’t have been happier. The food was amazing during the wedding and at the complimentary breakfasts as well! We were nervous about the food because we opted not to do a tasting, and were so glad we trusted the other reviews we read. We received compliments from everyone multiple times about the food and the venue overall. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stunning wedding venue, awesome service and delicious food.

I saw the website and really wanted my wedding and reception to be there. I am 52 and getting married for the 2nd time, so I didn't want it to be a huge affair. I was told that during season I could only have my wedding on a Wednesday unless I had 75 people or had the wedding from January to March. I even tried to negotiate paying the higher price to get this on a weekend and I was told no. While I can see why this is so from a business standpoint, I don't think he was very accomodating and really did not feel that he wanted my patronage. I will take my money to a vendor that will appreciate it.

Once we stepped foot on the property we fell in love with every aspect of it. Through the entire process before and during covid Matt and Alyssa were amazing to work with, they kept us up to date with local guide lines, to make sure everything would be ok. We wanted a winter wonderland wedding and we got it. At noon the skies opened up and it started snowing and didn't stop snowing. Matt came in on his day off to clear the roads and didn't stop until everyone left the property. Alyssa did a great job day of setting up the decorations and running the wedding. Alyssa had the wedding down to the minute and when the snow was coming down so hard that the golf cart couldn't keep up she took us around in her personal vehicle for pictures and to get to and from the main lodge and reception hall. My wife thought the day would be more stressful but with Alyssa there taking care of every detail, my wife could just relax and enjoy the day. Chef Anthony's food was absolutely delicious. Everything came out perfectly and was a hit among even the pickiest of eaters. Every building was clean and the rooms were very comfortable. As the Groom I had plenty of time to get ready, so I took my time eating breakfast, went for a swim in the heated pool and took a dip in the hot tub. The master suite in the main lodge was amazing and comfortable. The room was big enough for seven guys to get ready in and not be on top of each other. The same went for my bride who had 10 ladies with her getting ready in the eagles nest. Plenty of room for everyone to get ready without being on top of each other. Would highly recommend using this venue for your wedding, or even for a weekend get a away. We look forward to going back.

I’m not quite sure how to describe how absolutely incredible Oak Lodge is. From the second we pulled onto the property, I knew it was our venue. Matt and his team are hands down the best. They listened to everything we wanted and truly made our dream a reality. We went thru change after change because of Covid but Matt made sure we were well informed and seriously you never would have known there was a pandemic during our weekend. We lucked out with the most perfect weather on Saturday and they created an atmosphere for us and our guests that was perfection. We danced outside under the stars on a crystal clear night. My guests were seriously in awe of everything. The food was prepared all weekend by their insanely talented staff and they went ABOVE and beyond. I haven’t heard one negative thing in regards to the food. It was amazing! Chef Anthony made a special dinner for my husband and I and also came out during dinner with a special beer for us to toast to. Such a great touch I’ll never forget. If you’re looking for a venue, seriously look no further. They have a massive lodge that has 4 suites and a gorgeous kitchen, living room, and outside area. With that they also have 17 GORGEOUS modern cabins. Each cabin has its own fireplace, soaking tub, king size bed, and 2 of them are even dog friendly! I could seriously go on and on about how perfect Oak Lodge is but you’d be reading for days. Just go. Even if your venue is already booked, go for a getaway over the weekend. Trust me you won’t be disappointed!

Our daughter's wedding weekend was unforgettable! We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect experience than the one we had at Oak Lodge. Our families and bridal party all stayed on the property for the entire weekend. So we had a non-stop celebration from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. Our families and friends are still talking about the beautiful venue and delicious food. The entire weekend was completely stress free as Matt and his awesome staff had every detail handled to perfection. We can't thank them enough for giving our daughter and her new husband the fairy tale wedding they had been dreaming of.

My husband and I had a hard time finding a venue we loved. Everything we researched seemed so \"vanilla\". I came across Oak Lodge in Pittsburgh Magazine's Wedding Edition and knew instantly that we HAD to get married there. The grounds are breathtaking and fit our personalities perfectly. We loved having everything in one place. We hosted our rehearsal dinner on the grounds and our family and bridal party had the opportunity to stay on the property. It was an entire weekend dedicated to our wedding. Matt and his team made our wedding weekend an absolute dream! He made everything so easy when it came coordinating our big day. His relaxed yet organized personality made the planning process relatively stress free. He coordinated with all of our vendors to make sure everything ran smoothly. His team set-up our decor and plated the best cookie table I have ever seen. They kept us on track through our entire wedding day. We couldn't have enjoyed our day as much as we did without them!Chef Anthony has a gift with food. He arranged our BBQ rehearsal dinner, breakfast for overnight guests, an amazing cocktail hour, and a dinner that our guests still talk about about 4 months later. We have family with dietary restrictions and he was able to make some slight changes to accommodate everyone. He also welcomed our homemade family traditions to help make our wedding day feel personal. We would highly recommend Oak Lodge to host a wedding. We are still getting compliments on how beautiful and unique our wedding was. Our family and friends are already planning holidays and long weekends back to Oak Lodge to enjoy this beautiful property again.

I cannot say enough about the Oak Lodge. From start to finish, Matt and his team made us feel so special and taken care of. There was no stress, no worry, nothing other than a beautiful day filled with peace and happiness. The venue is absolutely spectacular and one that will be remembered by even the most well-traveled of guests. There is no need to look further. If you are looking for the perfect mix of rustic charm and modern amenities, you have found it.

This place was absolutely perfect, totally dreamy, and everything my now husband and I could've asked for with our January 28 2017 wedding! Matt was above and beyond helpful, this includes when our original caterer filed for bankruptcy, taking with them the down payment we had made when they dropped off the map. Matt was right there with suggestions as to who we should calling really worked with us in that stressful moment. When the wedding weekend did come, it snowed just how we wanted it to, big fluffy flakes that hugged the branches and blanketed the beautiful buildings on the property. Our family was able to stay together in the lodge, and there is a garage room with tricycles and toys that kept the young kids 100% occupied. The day of the wedding was seriously like a dream! The chapel was gorgeous, the cocktail hour went great from what I heard, I was getting my photo's done, and the reception was just flat out perfect with yummy food, a warm atmosphere, and my guests were enjoying hearing Matt tell about the lodges maple syrup production! We gave their maple syrup as our favors, which was just a great way to remind our guests of the wonderful place we got hitched. The small guest cap worked for our wedding, the location was out of the way, which is what we desired, the details here are incredible and make the place, and Matt is the most helpful person you would ask for when planning a wedding. My now sister-in-law has three girls and said, \"I already want to have each of my daughters weddings there!\" Seriously, the compliments just keep flowing in, and we couldn't be happier!

The chapel was gorgeous, the cocktail hour went great from what I heard, I was getting my photo's done, and the reception was just flat out perfect with yummy food, a warm atmosphere, and my guests were enjoying hearing Matt tell about the lodges maple syrup production! We gave their maple syrup as our favors, which was just a great way to remind our guests of the wonderful place we got hitched. The small guest cap worked for our wedding, the location was out of the way, which is what we desired, the details here are incredible and make the place, and Matt is the most helpful person you would ask for when planning a wedding. My now sister-in-law has three girls and said, \"I already want to have each of my daughters weddings there!\" Seriously, the compliments just keep flowing in, and we couldn't be happier!

I am so happy that we chose Oak Lodge for our wedding. The property is beautiful and it's great that you get full access to the property from Friday to Sunday. That allowed it to be less stressful and more family oriented as our close family and bridal party were right there the whole weekend. It was also great having the rehearsal dinner in the main lodge Friday night. I have no complaints about the actual property, however I did have an issue that I wish I would have known about beforehand. It might have made me think twice about spending all of that money on Oak Lodge. The property manager Matt is really difficult to work with leading up to the wedding date. He is the only point of contact and is impossible to get a hold of. He says the best way to reach him is via text, but never responds and then you end up texting, emailing and calling about a simple question. He has an assistant, but she is only there for the actual wedding date. He is also really unorganized during the planning process. He will give you certain information one moment and then it will be different the next time you talk to him. And it will be over something kind of big, such as he was trying to charge $200 more a night for the farmhouse than what he quoted me with and what the website still listed. He also told me that I could do a sparkler send off and than after I put in a lot of research into it and was about to purchase everything, he said they discontinued people from doing that. If I hadn't of double checked than I would have been out that money. He was also horrible with the payment plan. He delayed charging my card the second and third payments until the week of the wedding. Even after I asked him to charge it months before when it was supposed to be charged, he said that he \"hadn't gotten around to it.\" Which caused a huge issue because he didn't tell me he was going to charge it, so my credit card was frozen the week of the wedding. That was the last thing that I wanted to deal with that week. He also said that he needed the check for the farmhouse mailed the week of the wedding and that we needed to send it ASAP so that it could post by Friday. We hurried and mailed it and then he didn't cash it until two weeks after our wedding. We had forgotten about it and luckily had that money still in our account or it would have bounced. Don't get me wrong, he is a great person and great the actual weekend of the wedding. He is super helpful with setting up and making sure everything goes smoothly. You can just tell that he takes on so many weddings that he needs more help. About a month before the wedding you go through all of the details from A to Z, which is hugely helpful but most of the planning happens before a month out, so sometimes you have those important questions that you have to decide on without his help and than hope for the best. Overall, I'm really happy with the result of the wedding. We had a great time and everyone loved the property.

If you've seen photos of Oak Lodge, you don't need to me to tell you how unbelievably breathtaking and beautiful it is there. As soon as I got engaged, my sister came over and was adamant that we needed to start looking for a venue. With my husband being from PA and me from MD, I thought having the wedding between our two homes would not only be convenient for guests, but afford us the ability to extend the wedding into a long weekend for our bridal party and family. As fate would have it, Oak Lodge was the FIRST venue that we looked at and within moments of hitting play on the video on their homepage...I was in tears. Could there be a more incredibly magical venue!? The chapel!? The grounds!? The lodge!? I was smitten...that is until I emailed the link to my future hubby and was immediately (lovingly) shot down due to proximity alone...he figured we'd have the wedding in Maryland. Fast forward several months, after hours upon hours of looking at (and visiting) dozens of venues throughout Maryland and feeling absolutely no connection to them (let alone being brought to tears) we made an unannounced visit (sorry Matt!) to Oak Lodge on our way home from a weekend trip to PA...and well, we were both totally blown away. We'd never been to a wedding, let alone ever seen a wedding venue even close to Oak Lodge. Before I knew it, I was taking a selfie in front of the chapel with my fingers crossed new engagement ring sparkling! There was no going back, this WAS the setting for the best day of our lives...and it truly was. Side note, the only remaining date available for the summer of 2015, was two weeks after my hubby's brothers wedding --- and we took it (sorry family) - that's how much we couldn't pass it up! When I say that we had the perfect wedding, there is no exaggeration. From the beginning of the planing process to pulling away on Sunday after the Big Day, everything was more than I could have ever hoped for. It was not only the most incredible day of our lives, but that of many of our guests too. We often hear stories from our guests that when someone they know is newly engaged, they have a difficult time not bringing up our wedding to them and how hard it will be to find a venue anything like Oak Lodge. Sad, but true. We wanted to create a once in a lifetime event not only for ourselves, but for the most important people in our lives and I truly believe that we were able to do that and that Oak Lodge made that possible. Falling in love with the venue truly made the rest of my wedding vision just fall into place. We love hiking, exploring, and being outdoors and feeling like you have an entire mountain to yourself to celebrate your love with the man of your dreams in a well manicured fantasy village in a beautiful dress, well, need I say more!? Matt and the staff were the easiest and most pleasant people to work with ever and even stepped in to assist when I had issues with other event day vendors. They helped me pull off an amazing surprise for my husband, set everything up flawlessly that I had created, and never let on that any of it was going above and beyond. Stress is s natural part of a wedding (to most), but if they know what stress is at Oak Lodge...they'll surely never let you know it! If you're on the fence at all, just schedule a visit, if you're not captivated by the surroundings and magic of Oak Lodge, it's not for you - leave the date for another girl who wants the wedding of her dreams.

I wish there were words to truly describe our wedding weekend at The Oak Lodge. It has been six months, and the feelings are still indescribable, and guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed our wedding! The Oak Lodge is the most incredible wedding venue, and worth every penny spent. The setting and atmosphere alone is something that cannot be matched. From the minute we pulled onto the property it was like we were living a fairytale wedding, one we never thought we would be lucky enough to have. The staff at the Oak Lodge go above and beyond to make everything perfect. We had multiple guests tell me they have never been to a wedding that felt this organized and well thought out. Planning the wedding from Ohio, while working full time and going to graduate school, I can assure you all praise goes to the wedding planner, Matt Hegan. The weather did not turn out as we had hoped, but it didn't affect the weekend in the least bit. The staff had heaters set up outside, wood burning fires in the fireplaces, and hot coffee and apple cider to welcome guests as they arrived for the ceremony. It was the perfect cozy, crisp, fall day. My husband and I were able to enjoy our wedding, every minute of it, falling in love with each other all over again, like it was the first time we met seven years ago. The Oak Lodge is more than a venue, it is truly an experience that you and your guests will cherish for years to come. We are forever thankful for the memories!\r

The Oak Lodge was the PERFECT mini destination wedding we were looking for! Having the lodge rented out for 2 and a half days (to set up, have rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding, reception, and a place to stay at night) was perfect to have our family gathered in one place to celebrate our new lives together. It was close enough for our relatives from Pittsburgh to just be able to drive in the day of our wedding and yet far enough away and secluded to feel like a destination wedding. My wedding was everything I had dreamed of and more! We spent the weekend enjoying our families. Everything we asked for was taken care of. The beautiful setting was the perfect back drop for every picture and memory. I will never forget getting to dance outside under the stars with my husband! Matt made me feel like I had hired a personal wedding planner. Everyone was so kind. My friends talk all the time about how they want to go back to oak lodge just to spend the weekend again. We had nothing but compliments from friends and family on our wedding weekend. Staying at Oak Lodge allowed for my husband and I to have plenty of time to relax and enjoy ourselves before the wedding. There was a HUGE storm just days before our wedding and they had managed to have everything cleaned up and beautiful again before we got there. The grounds are breathtaking and the lodging is clean and comfortable. All of our immediate family and the entire wedding party were able to stay the weekend with us making our day that much more enjoyable. The price for an entire weekend was considerably less than several hours at other venues we looked at. Matt was so helpful and nice. Even though he sees many brides throughout the year he made me feel special and my wedding like it was top priority. I could keep going on and on about this venue. His list of vendors was a huge help and all of them were just as helpful. Neither my husband or I have one negative thing to say. We are talking about renting the lodge for a winter weekend in the future. We would HIGHLY recommend Oak Lodge for a wedding venue.

This is the ideal location for a romantic, rustic wedding weekend. My husband and I wanted to celebrate our wedding surrounded by friends and family in a beautiful place, and we got exactly that and so much more! We rented the whole property for the entire weekend, nestled in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. Oak Lodge enabled us to have the rehearsal dinner on-site the night before as well as lodging for our wedding party and close family, let alone all the wedding festivities all on-site the next day. Matt and his team are fantastic and have a great system in place that also allows for a lot of personalization. He put us completely at ease from the start and worked with us to help provide every little detail we asked for. From top to bottom, Oak Lodge was everything we dreamed of and made our wedding the perfect ongoing celebration with family and friends. We've already made plans to go back next year and stay in the little farmhouse that's also on the property, right across from a little pond! I could go on and on but you should just book this place before they're all filled up! You will be delighted!

My husband and I wanted to celebrate our wedding surrounded by friends and family in a beautiful place, and we got exactly that and so much more! We rented the whole property for the entire weekend, nestled in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. Oak Lodge enabled us to have the rehearsal dinner on-site the night before as well as lodging for our wedding party and close family, let alone all the wedding festivities all on-site the next day. Matt and his team are fantastic and have a great system in place that also allows for a lot of personalization. He put us completely at ease from the start and worked with us to help provide every little detail we asked for. From top to bottom, Oak Lodge was everything we dreamed of and made our wedding the perfect ongoing celebration with family and friends. We've already made plans to go back next year and stay in the little farmhouse that's also on the property, right across from a little pond! I could go on and on but you should just book this place before they're all filled up! You will be delighted!

We started planning our wedding over two years prior to our date, and even early on in the planning process, Matt helped us picture just how wonderful our wedding could be at the Oak Lodge. (We first saw the venue in March 2012 for our wedding in June 2014.) We wanted an all-inclusive venue for the ceremony and reception, and it was even better that all of the bridal party was able to have lodging on site as well. It made everything hassle free for the whole weekend and eliminated almost all transportation costs. Matt and staff gave us all of the assistance that we wanted, were always ready with helpful suggestions, and also let us do things in our own way. \r\rWe wanted to give our guests an experience at a beautiful location that they would remember as more than just another wedding, and we got exactly that. The facilities were gorgeous and well maintained. There was plenty of space for everyone to be more than comfortable (15 staying at the lodge and 125 at the ceremony/reception). We have received only the highest compliments from all that attended. They loved the atmosphere, the ability to utilize indoors and outdoors, and continuing to find new things to explore all evening long. We only had 2 parties who had difficulty finding the venue, which isn't bad for any wedding in my opinion. \r\rDespite some bridal party mishaps that could have dampened the festivities, Matt and staff were all was very reassuring and ready to help reduce our stress at any and every opportunity. I (the bride) didn't have to think about vendors at all on the day of the wedding, and the Oak Lodge's coordination of everyone was second to none. Photo opportunities were endless, even for a bride and groom who hate taking pictures. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend, a better experience, or a better wedding. \r\rBoth of our families want to return to The Oak Lodge for family reunions soon in the future.

This is by far the best venue for a smaller wedding!(150) We had meetings to check out 5 different venues, and Oak Lodge was the first and the last. We booked as soon as we got home. They are really easy to work with, and were very prompt on the e-mails back and forth. This was important for me because planning a wedding from Washington D.C. is hard! Everything went flawless the day before, and especially the day of! Everything was exactly how i imagined! Matt was easy to work with, and especially because i'm such a micro-manager of everything!(Hard to deal with). I would not change one thing about the accommodations, the service, and facilities. \rThe Oak Lodge was large enough to house our entire wedding party (14 people). We rented the space for four days, and took advantage of all the amenities, including the pool house, hot tub, and hiking trails. We also used all the grounds, including the deck for rehearsal dinner, Lake Phyllis for a welcome bbq and lawn games, the chapel for the reception, the tavern for cocktail hour, and the outside dance floor behind the chapel for late night dancing under the stars. Matt (the wedding coordinator) was so professional and helpful throughout the whole process, moths leading up to the ceremony and days after the wedding. Matt was very friendly and extremely accommodating. All of the guests were so impressed by the execution of all the activities and the beauty of the estate. I would highly recommend the Oak Lodge to anyone and everyone if you're looking for the perfect, secluded, and rustic wedding location with all the bells and whistles at an affordable price.

I was so lucky to get married at Oak Lodge. The venue is absolutely breathtaking. The Oak Lodge is the most wonderful and enchanting wedding venue. The Oak Lodge makes your special day last an entire weekend. I have been to so many weddings that start and end in a blink of an eye and the bride is so sad at the end of the night because 'that was it'. I never had to feel that way because it was a weekend of magic. This venue allows you to host your guests in a way they will never forget, the lodge is so accommodating and fun they were never bored for one second between the pool, hot tub, outdoor activities, etc. As for how you will feel, Matt takes away every wedding worry because he literally has everything. I completely forgot to get a wedding card box and not only did he remember to ask me about it, he let me use the one that he and his wife used (which was beautiful). The location also photographs very well and requires very minimal decorations. If you select this venue you will never be disappointed! My family and I are talking about going back for an off season weekend already!

Oak Lodge is truly a little slice of heaven on earth. We recently were married there on July 21, 2012, and everything about that day was perfect. The owners of the property, and Matt Hegan, the Business Manager were more than accomidating to my family and me. Matt worked with us to plan the wedding with our three sets of parents, and me. I live in Louisiana so it was hard to make trips to Pennsylvania, but Matt was more than willing to have conference calls with our parents and myself any time we needed to. Matt went out of his way to make sure that the day was personal, enjoyable, and everything I had ever had in mind. I am still hearing rave reviews about the Oak Lodge and the overall experience our guests had had that day. Our guests were completely enchanted and blown away by the views, the experience, and everything about Oak Lodge. It is unlike every other venue out there, and everything about Oak Lodge was above my expectations. The Oak Lodge is yours for the weekend, and you get to have that bonding experience and time with your closet family and friends before and after the wedding day. For me, that was so important since my husband and I live out of state. It was so nice to share that time with my family and friends, and actually get to enjoy the wedding weekend. The Laurel Highlands is so beautiful, and while there are many other venues within the area, there is nothing like Oak Lodge. Anywhere. Forthe value and overall experience, no other venue within the area will hold comparison to Oak Lodge. The staff at Oak Lodge made us and our guests feel as though this was our home for the weekend, and it truly was the most fun day of my life. It really is your private retreat away from the world. There is no shuffling from church to venue, or break between ceremony and reception. All of that is eliminated. Your guests get to relax and actually enjoy themselves, and get to escape the hustle and bustle. I cannot think of a better place to have had our wedding! Everything about the day was amazing! :)

We recently got married at Oak Lodge and on 4/28/12 and booking this as our venue was by far the best decision we made regarding the wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful and pictures just do not do this place justice. You have to go see it, the moment you set eyes on the place you will fall in love! \r\rThis is perfect for a rustic wedding and the beauty of this venue is you do not need decorations, it is stunning by itself. The chapel was a dream to get married in and the set up of Jimberg Village is perfect for the flow of a great party. We had drinks outside the chapel for early arrivals, then the guests move to the next building, the tavern, for cocktail hour and then continue around the pathway to the Merchantile Hall for the reception. Having everything in one location was so great and our guests really loved the set up and we got so many compliments about the venue. \r\rWe also used basically all of Oak Lodge's preferred vendors and they were all great to work with and made the wedding preparations so easy. I am from DC so I did all the wedding prep via email and phone and it all worked out perfectly! \r\rOak Lodge, Matt specifically, was AMAZING to work with, he made the wedding planning and the day of a breeze and I had zero stress (which is what every bride wants!) Once I had booked vendors and made my decisions on the things I wanted, Matt took over and handled everything from when to arrive, set up and break down of everything so I had nothing to worry about. He also was very easy to get a hold of and always responded to emails/phone calls promptly which is also a huge plus for a bride, especially one planning a wedding remotely! He truly wants your day to be amazing and does everything possible to make it perfect. \r\rWe even had bad weather (freezing cold and rain in late April) and Oak Lodge was so well prepared, they made all our guests comfortable and warm and no one really noticed the cold and we had food and the bar set up outside. If you want your expectations exceeded, your dreams met and a unique venue then book Oak Lodge! This place is truly amazing! The views are breathtaking, the staff is incredible and the accommodations are top of the line. We cannot say enough about Matt, Robin and the rest of the Oak Lodge staff. They go above and beyond to make sure you get the wedding of your dreams. They pay attention to every detail, do the little things you do not expect. If you want your expectations exceeded, your dreams met and a unique venue then book Oak Lodge! This place is truly amazing! The views are breathtaking, the staff is incredible and the accommodations are top of the line. We cannot say enough about Matt, Robin and the rest of the Oak Lodge staff. They go above and beyond to make sure you get the wedding of your dreams. They pay attention to every detail, do the little things you do not expect. Oak Lodge truly made my dream wedding a reality. The elegant rustic feel lends the day to a relaxed yet beautiful atmosphere. Our guests were in awe and couldn't stop raving. We could not have asked for a nicer, more competent venue manager than in Matt. He was there to help every step of the way, allowing us to have a smooth, worry free wedding day as guests moved from the chapel to the tavern to the reception hall, all located at the beautiful Oak Lodge. In addition, many of my family from out of town were able to stay at Oak Lodge for the weekend, which not only gave us more time to visit with them but also gave them their own weekend family reunion. If you are looking for a rustic venue for your wedding and reception, do not hesitate - oak lodge is your perfect venue!

From the minute I stepped on Oak Lodge property, I knew that it was where I wanted to get married!! It is such a serene place, and has a breath-taking beauty to the buildings and the grounds surrounding it. My family and wedding party had such a amazing wedding weekend at the Lodge- making so many fun memories!! From the pool to the hot tub, to rustic lodge furnishings and the beautiful chapel...It was everything I had ever hoped for! I would not have picked another place to have my wedding- It was definitely my fairytale wedding come true! It's rustic, yet elegant surroundings took everyone's breath away! My wedding guests absolutely loved it, and are still raving!! I highly recommend you taking a tour with Matt(the Oak Lodge mananger), and you will not be sorry!!

From our first impression through the end of the wedding weekend, Oak Lodge did not disappoint! The property itself is beautifully landscaped, with stunning views of the surrounding hills and countryside. Use of the guest house (which sleeps around 18 people) is included with the rental price and is the perfect place to host your bridal party, friends and/or close family members. A month after our wedding, everyone who stayed with us was still talking about what an amazing time they had! Also included are use of the entire property (with hiking trails, streams for fishing, a small lake, an indoor swimming pool, and jacuzzi). Our wedding took place on the property (a five minute walk from the Guest House) in a small, colonial style village, complete with a beautiful chapel, a tavern, reception hall, and several log cabins. The atmosphere of the village created a very memorable wedding and reception. Finally,the onsite staff are helpful and accommodating in every imaginable way. We whole-heartedly recommend that you check out Oak Lodge if you are near the Laurel Highlands.

I am still in awe at the beauty and absolute perfection that is Oak Lodge. My husband :) and I are outdoors people and really wanted to get married in the Laurel Highlands. We fell in love with Oak Lodge the second we pulled in. No only is the location perfect for out of town guests, but Matt and Robin Hegan are FANTASTIC people to work with. They have great communication skills and really helped to make the days leading up, the big day, and the following days just a breeze. Out of all the vendors we worked with, they were by far our favorite. We also stayed in the guest house which made it easy for our bridal party to spend time together, and really made it easy for getting ready the day of. Seriously though, if you want your wedding to be full of character, originality, and a memorable one for you and your guests...Check it out. I still can't believe we just got married there.

We were so lucky to have our wedding reception at Oak Lodge in Sept 2010. Many of our \"local to the area\" guests were blown away at this gem located in right our backyard! Our cocktail hour was on the deck of the main lodge, and provided breaktaking views of the Laurel Highlands! The staff at Oak Lodge (Matt and Robin) were a breeze to work with. Very accomodating and extremely responsive to my many requests! They stayed on site until the very end and even helped us clean up afterwards! We took advantage of the opportunity to stay on the grounds the night of the wedding. What a treat! It was a peaceful morning, and we enjoyed the time to ourselves without anyone else around. I would highly recommend Oak Lodge! This is a unique venue for a wedding any time of the year! There's nothing like it in southwestern PA. Thank you Matt and Robin for making our big day so memorable!

The Lodge is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a relaxing luxurious stay in the Laurel Mountain area. What is the true gem is \"Jimberg\" where the chapel. tavern and reception hall are all located. It is like having a small 'town\" to completely design your wedding at, with gorgeous wood country styled buildings, all within sight of each other. The natural beauty of the area is just perfect.The on-site organizational staff (Matt and Robin)will help you with truly anything you need and are an amazing asset there as well. We highly recommend Oak Lodge.
