An Elegant Barn Venue for an Unforgettable Wedding
Based in Bear Creek, NC, Oakland Farm is a rustic wedding venue featuring plenty of pastoral charm. This setting offers 18 acres of flourishing land for you to transform into your ideal design. From the spacious barn to the landscaped fields, you will have a variety of backdrops to choose from for your special day. Nestled along the tranquil forest, Oakland Farm provides soon-to-be-weds with a peaceful, private place to host their life-changing events. Both the indoor and outdoor event spaces offer a romantic backdrop for your ceremony and reception. The large barn boasts a stunning bucolic aesthetic for up to 350 guests to enjoy. The natural wood walls and large windows make for a bright, welcoming atmosphere. The ceiling is decorated with strings of stylish bistro lights and an eye-catching antler chandelier. Couples that prefer an open-air celebration will be welcome to use the large outdoor pavilion. Its tin roof, wooden structure, and elegant drapery make for a stunning reception setting, while the surrounding forestry adds a touch of natural beauty. Landscape lawn areas are also present throughout the property for heartwarming ceremonies or photo sessions. For overnight stays, the Farmhouse is a cozy cottage that includes four bedrooms and a full kitchen to make you feel right at home. It's surrounded by thick woodlands and features a large wraparound porch for you to enjoy your morning coffee with a scenic view. The onsite team will work diligently to help you achieve your dream wedding. A venue host will be present throughout your event to make sure everything goes smoothly. Tables, chairs, and other furniture will be provided and arranged into any formation you prefer. The team at Oakland is incredibly easy to work with. Special shout out to Kaitlyn! :) I love that Oakland's space provides you the opportunity to design the venue to reflect your own personal vision. Think of it as a blank page - in a good way! The venue is stunning ON ITS OWN, but can also be transformed however you want with ease. It was incredible! The venue itself is quiet, peaceful and just enough \"out of the way.\" It is close enough to Sanford to be convenient for out of town guests. There is plenty of parking as well. The weekend package is the way to go - such a great value and provides so much flexibility. We did not have to rush the entire weekend! The farmhouse was wonderful for getting ready. My bridesmaids and I spent the night before the wedding (after the rehearsal dinner) at the farmhouse as well. It was so much fun and beyond convenient. Oakland has a great list of preferred vendors, but allows you to use your selected vendors without restriction. This was such a big deal to me! Again, the team was so easy to work with and made the planning process much easier than I thought it would be. I can't recommend them or Oakland Farm enough.

Oakland Farm is seriously a hidden gem! There are not enough wonderful things to say about this venue. The venue itself if beautiful and provides you with the perfect slate to make your vision come true. Kaitlyn is amazing and goes out of her way to assure all your wishes are fulfilled and your day goes exactly as planned. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

As soon as I arrived at Oakland Farms, I knew it was the place for us. We loved that we could do everything at the site. From getting ready, to getting married and having the reception. And the best part was taking the photos. We were even able to get the horses in the background. I recommend anyone I meet that is getting married to go to Oakland Farm. It was amazing.

As soon as I arrived at Oakland Farms, I knew it was the place for us. We loved that we could do everything at the site. From getting ready, to getting married and having the reception. And the best part was taking the photos. We were even able to get the horses in the background. I recommend anyone I meet that is getting married to go to Oakland Farm. It was amazing.

We initially chose Oakland Farm because of the gorgeous venue space! The renovated barn was rustic, yet elegant and the beautiful covered pavilion gave us the peace of mind of knowing we could have our dream outdoor ceremony rain or shine.. which ended up coming in handy on our drizzly wedding day. But the scene was still breathe-taking nonetheless. The cherry on top for me were the adorable cows on site that I was more than happy to incorporate into our day!Outside of the amazing venue, the staff was phenomenal to work with and made what can be stressful planning so much easier! They allowed us to tour the site multiple times so that all sides of the family could check it out before the big day and they were so accommodating when it came to preparing for our rehearsal and wedding day. They were so prompt to answer any emails with questions I had and were very helpful with ideas on how to best set up the space for the number of guests we had.Simply cannot rave about Oakland Farm enough.. I wish we could relive our wedding day there over and over again!

My husband and I went with the all-inclusive package and could not recommend that route enough for couples who wish to be pretty hands-off regarding wedding planning. We worked with Kaitlyn Hockaday, and she was INCREDIBLE! Kaitlyn connected us with all our vendors, answered all our questions (her response time is fantastic), and was there every step of the way. My wedding at Oakland Farms was amazing! I can’t say enough good things about them! From Kaitlyns quick replies with emails to giving us extra time to clean without the fee it was all around wonderful. We had access to the farm anytime we needed for any photos for vendors! (they accommodate very well). The price was straight forward and we didn’t get any surprise charges last minute. Going in my only concern was the grooms suit being it was a little small but from what I hear from my now husband and his 8 groomsmen they still had plenty of room to cut up! The team Oakland has is outstanding and the venue is just simply a treasure. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a stress free beautiful place inside and out! Wow! Using Oakland Farm for my wedding day was one of my best planning decisions. The venue is absolutely stunning inside and outside. Kaitlyn was so helpful and responsive to all of my questions! I did one of Oakland's wedding packages, and I will tell all my friends to find a package! Using Oakland's vendors made planning my 5 month wedding so easy. I was impressed with almost all of them, and the one vendor that was not responsive was quickly fixed by Oakland. It was a wonderful day I will always remember! :) I highly recommend this venue!

Oakland farm is hands down the best venue for a country/rustic wedding. They were so helpful in allowing us to reschedule after covid hit. We were originally suppose to get married April 4, 2020. But they graciously allowed us to reschedule not once, but twice to allow us to have the wedding we wanted! They also allowed us to use the venue June 13, 2020 for an intimate family ceremony and then August 29,2020 to have the wedding we originally planned. Kaitlyn, the coordinator at Oakland Farm, was prompt with responses and if she didn't know the answer, she found it. I would without a doubt recommend Oakland Farm to any couple getting married!

This venue is the absolute DREAM! The venue manager Kaitlyn is fantastic to work with - she answered all of my millions of questions and was so accommodating to any changes to make sure our dream wedding came true! The barn and pavilion are spacious, simple and rustic! It’s a working farm with cows and horses which just adds to the appeal! The farmhouse that comes with the venue was amazing, with a fully stocked kitchen and linens for me and my girls to stay in the night before and get ready in the day of! We were able to rent the venue from Thursday morning to Sunday night which cut our stress levels down SO mMUCH! Seriously ladies, if you want a barn wedding, don’t skip out on this place!

Oakland Farm was was a magical place to get married. Adam and staff were incredibly caring and did all they could to make our day perfect. It rained (poured) all weekend so having the indoor option was incredibly important to us, and it turned out beautifully. The price is reasonable and all of my bridesmaids and I stayed on site starting on Thursday and that was a fantastic option to have as a lot of them traveled from out of town. I highly recommend this venue.

This is a fabulous space! I had my reception there and the service was fantastic. Our event was in May, and it was a beautiful day, so we utilized the Barn space and the Pavilion space, and used the Farmhouse, which was super convenient. My wedding party all got ready at the house, and it is a beautiful setting for pictures.

Kaitlyn Hockaday (Manager) Hey y'all! I'm Kaitlyn, the Venue Manager at Oakland Farm. This place is near and dear to my heart because it's where my husband and I had our wedding reception in October 2017!I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Business degree. After that, I spent 6 years at a marketing agency. In my spare time, I planned my own wedding and helped friends plan the little details of theirs as well. In 2018, I helped plan and organize a benefit reception at Oakland Farm for a local non-profit, which eventually lead to my move to managing the venue full-time. I couldn't be more excited to work with you!
