I photographed a wedding at the Oakwood Resort in May of 2019. The Oakwood goes above and beyond for their couples -- food, atmosphere, etc. It's a stunning venue with amazing views, ample locations to tie the knot, and endless locations for portraits. 10 out of 10! Can't wait to photograph another couple there again!

Wedding Date 24-08-2019
Our ceremony was held at the outdoor gazebo and our reception was held in the Hilltop banquet center. We could not have asked for a more perfect August day and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Staci was very organized in helping us get ready for the day and the golf cart shuttle getting guests to and from Hilltop was a huge plus. Guests are still raving about our food and overall, we could not be happier with our wedding at Oakwood!

My wedding reception was recently in The Hilltop at the Oakwood Resort and it was absolutely stunning. The food was fantastic, the bartenders and servers were friendly and efficient, and the night was pulled together perfectly. I highly recommend this hotel as a wedding venue! It is the perfect location on Lake Wawasee.

The venue itself was amazing! We used the Event Center and stayed at the hotel. It was so great to have the hotel right there. We got all our pictures outside by the lake and it was stunning. The food was delicious and bar service top notch. They worked with us every step of the way to get us what we wanted. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because the wedding coordinator was difficult to get ahold of the entire time.

We got married at the Hilltop building on September 10, 2016. The venue is absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing. We really did have the best night of our lives. We worked with Kaila for most of the planning who was great but quit right before our wedding. This lead to some confusion and little details that were just forgotten but Julia and especially the younger girl (I can't remember her name at the moment) who were helping were both great. However, Sharon, another wedding coordinator was unfortunately there right before the ceremony was absolutely awful. She was rude to my family and the bridal party as well as the groom and I. She was going on about how terrible everything was going and how we shouldn't have moved everything outside because it was sure to rain moments before my dad walked me down the aisle (it sprinkled for less then 30 seconds and the ceremony was beautiful). She also was very rude to our family members who helped move things outside when the weather cleared up. Luckily she left shortly after the ceremony and the reception was a ton of fun and attitude free.

Oakwood is a beautiful venue for a wedding. However some of the event staff and summer interns left a little to be desired. The desk staff and salon were very helpful.

Our daughter was married on the shore of Lake Wawasee at Oakwood Resort on August 3, 2013. The reception for 100 guests followed at the Oakwood \"Hilltop\" overlooking the lake and wooded grounds. What fantastic venues for both events!\r\r Carol and Katie could not have been more accommodating throughout the planning process. They coordinated efficiently with the vendors to make sure the wedding day ran smoothly.\r\r The hotel featured their own spa, nail and hair salon, which was particularly convenient for the bridal party. Steve and Todd were wonderful hotel staffers who made sure our guests had the best accommodations available.\r\r If you're looking for an overall remarkable experience, I would highly recommend Oakwood Resort for your special day!
