A Family Ranch

Old Llama Ranch is a barn wedding venue nestled in the heart of Santa Fe, NM. This property has been in our family since 1940, and my sister and I have recently started sharing it for events including weddings. While the open-air barn is versatile and can be used for a daytime event, for weddings we believe the optimal experience is one of our packages. The whole ranch becomes available for your wedding including the open barn, the pool, and hot tub, the portals, and courtyards. This includes all five casitas two of which are two bedrooms. (7 bedrooms total) . It's ideal for family or the wedding party to stay on the ranch with the bride and groom. The ranch has ping pong, corn hole, a half-mile walking loop around the fields, a pool area, and two types of fire pits for star gazing and smores at night. We allow dogs, we have ample parking and we are minutes from larger hotels that can accommodate all traveling guests. The Buffolo Thunder Resort by Hilton is about six minutes up the road and the Cities of Gold Casino Hotel is about three minutes away. This allows guests to book with whichever hotel fits their price range. We are centrally located 20 minutes from the plaza in Santa Fe, Bandaleir, Los Alamos, Ojai Caliente, and Chimayo all offer fun activities and options for a weekend in Santa Fe. The ranch itself is a large original adobe built around a central courtyard. Each casita is private and has either a full or hotel kitchen. Everything is Santa Fe style and of course, it's northern New Mexico so we specialize in beautiful sunsets, amazing light, and stars at night. Because the barn is open air our season is May- September. We do have rain plans and the barn is tarped and tested. We'd love to have you come see us or call and discuss if we are right for you.
