Old Orchard Country Club Reviews
Mike Murphy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-07-2022 Old Orchard CC and the staff did a fantastic job making our day very special. Brianna, Marc and Marci made our day one we will never forget. From the pre-planning (Bri was great, flexible and answered all the dumb questions) to the day of, very flexible and hit on everything we wanted. Kept up with our \"thirsty\" guests, food delivered in a timely manner and the portions were huge. Thank you, Mike and Kerry.... Reviewed on 14-11-2022
Madison Biggs(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-04-2022 We had our wedding reception at Old Orchard back in April of this year and had the best night we could have dreamed of. We worked with Marc and Breanna, and they were so kind, knowledgable, involved, and accommodating; we could not recommend this place more. What impressed us is that they told us they wanted us to feel like we were guests at our own wedding - and they definitely accomplished that. Their pricing is also extremely reasonable. HUGE thank you to Old Orchard for being such a big part of our day! Reviewed on 17-06-2022
Daniel Coltun(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-05-2022 The venue itself is stunning. The reception room, cocktail area, and ceremony (outdoors on the golf course besides one of the ponds with a fountain). It is a truly a site. The people that work here, Brianna & Marc are amazing. They are so helpful & flexible. We had quite a few questions for Brianna leading up to our event, she was always responsive & made herself available to hop on a call whenever we needed.Brianna is also very knowledgeable & provided great guidance to us on what would work well. In addition, we had to postpone our wedding due to covid. OOCC honored our originally contract & postponed to 2022 without any issues. Finally, the food. I have been to many weddings, typically the food is mediocre, specifically the entrees. The food here is fantastic. We had the champagne chicken & mushroom ravioli for our gusts. The chicken was cooked to perfection & had lots of flavor from the champagne sauce. The ravioli was also delicious. I highly recommend this venue. You cannot go wrong! Reviewed on 14-06-2022

All day the guests raved how beautiful and new the venue is. I could not agree more. The service from Brianna and her team exceeded expectations. Katie Girardi(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-04-2021 We were one of the many couples planning to get married in 2020 that had the heartbreaking task of rescheduling our wedding. Luckily when we did so we found the Old Orchard Country Club. I had the pleasure of working with the GM Marc who could not have been any nicer. We got to a week out of our date and the state shut back down due to covid. There were no issues with OOCC in getting it rescheduled and all deposits transferred. Marc was willing to assist in any way he could to help us get our day on track. In the end, we were able to have our rehearsal dinner the night before and our reception on a beautiful day and everything was perfect. We had the pleasure of also working with Brianna who was so organized and knowledgeable in wedding events. In the end, we may have gone through a great deal of stress but it was all worth it and we could not be any happier with the Old Orchard Country Club. Amanda Crom(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-08-2019 My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception here on August 30th, 2019. It was truly the most MAGICAL day of our lives. From starting almost a year and a half prior all the way up until our wedding day Old Orchard did not disappoint. When we first booked with Old Orchard they had not yet remodeled and we were willing to take the risk and trust Mark (a golf pro who had taken over the banquet side when they lost their wedding coordinator) because we just had a good feeling about this place. Fast forward to February of 2019 and we walked in to meet our new wedding coordinator (Ann) and do our tasting. The ENTIRE place was being remodeled. We thought it would just be the Bridal Suite when we booked it. After meeting Ann and doing our DELICIOUS tasting we couldn't wait to see how the place came out after all the remodeling was finished. THIS PLACE IS GORGEOUS!!!!!!! The remodel made it look like something out of one of those wedding magazines. We were floored when we walked in after it was all done. Everything was perfect and the place was so modern and clean and beautiful I actually cried on my way home because it was everything I had dreamed of. On our wedding day everything went perfectly. We got marries in the front garden and our pictures were STUNNING! And our reception was fun and everyone had a great time and were well fed. Ann and her team went above and beyond to make our day perfect and let me be honest Ann is one of the best wedding coordinators I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was so kind and understanding when i got neurotic. Every question or concern I had was answered within 24 hours. She put me so at ease. I can honestly say I have thanked god every day since our wedding that we were blessed to book Old Orchard for our wedding venue. Thank you Ann, Mark, and your team for giving us one hell of a wedding. We could never repay you. Reviewed on 09-11-2019

Our ceremony took place outside on the 10th Tee which was beautiful, but they also have an indoor option incase of inclement weather. Abigail was great to work with and did an amazing job coordinating with our vendors. Everyone complimented the food and enjoyed the scenic golf course. I was to have an outside ceremony, but it poured. However, they set up the ceremony and reception hall inside so beautifully that I hardly even noticed the weather. I was so pleased. The food served was delicious, their service throughout the evening made it so I had to focus on nothing other than having fun and being a bride! Christine and Brittany were both so helpful and willing to do anything to help our special day. First off, very very affordable. Majority of what you need for a reception hall is included in the original price, which saved a lot of money and headache! This included food (w/ full tasting beforehand), alcohol (6 hr open bar), cake, tableclothes and chair covers (colored as well for decoration), cloth napkins, lighting, three votive candles for centerpieces and anything else we required to hold decorations at front or on tables. The only thing we needed to bring was things to put in the centerpieces for decoration. The reception hall was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL on the day of. We had 225 guests and everyone spacing was perfect, at the tables and on the dance floor. The night ran perfectly and everything was on time....could not be happier with what we received from the venue.\r Christine and Brittany both were very good at maintaining contact by phone or email, especially the couple weeks before as everything was being organized. Christine even had golf carts available for our entire wedding party and photographer to go onto the course for pictures before cocktail hour. If I could give more than 5 starts I would! Davina Stutz(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-10-2014 I had my ceremony and reception at Old Orchard Country Club and they did beautiful work. My plan was to have an outdoor wedding on the 10th hole of the golf course, but the weather didn't permit for that to happen. I was informed the morning of the wedding that it would have to be moved indoors and although I was a little down about this (I had my heart set on an outdoor ceremony), I was so pleased when I saw how beautifully they decorated the inside. It was amazing! I may have had my heart set on outdoors, but when I saw the indoor ceremony decorations, I was completely happy with the change.\r\rChristine was so helpful. Every time I had a question or concern, I'd e-mail her and she'd get back to me the same day. She made me feel at ease and I trusted leaving everything in her hands for our wedding.\r\rThe food was delicious as well. My husband and I were told all night how delicious everything was and how beautiful the decorations and setup of the ceremony and reception was.\r\rAlthough weddings are never cheap, I thought the prices for everything you are provided with this venue was so worth it. The owner and Christine basically said they would've never allowed our size of small wedding at their venue yet Lisa booked it and took a deposit from us. We were lied to for years by Lisa and Connie the owner and Christine employee were down right rude and refused to honor our contract. Very unprofessional and Connie even admitted that other brides had it worse and that Lisa was on antidepressants and wasn't capable of doing her job and she knew this yet allowed her to stay there for 14 years and stated Lisa lied to her!!!\rDo not use them!! Theresa Mayor(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-08-2014 Old Orchard was amazing! It was exactly what we wanted and more! The separate cocktail hour room and patio outside, looking out to the beautiful golf course, is such a perk of this venue. Also, you are the only wedding there, so you don't have to worry about someone else's guests or music, etc. Beside that, the room itself, once complete with chair covers, centerpieces, and up-lighting, is perfect! We had 280 guests, and to me that was the perfect number of people for that room. Christine was able to accommodate every single thing we asked for. I have heard nothing but good things about the food from my guests (we served filet, chicken vesuvio, or tilapia). Upgrading to top shelf liquor and bottled beer was affordable and well worth it. Beside that, Old Orchard is the ONLY venue I've ever been to that kept the bar open during dinner. It avoids lines building up, because people are trying to stock up on drinks before dinner. Also, being able to take the golf carts out to the course for pictures with your bridal party is super fun and makes for gorgeous pictures. Lastly, I would say I sent an average of 100 emails to Christine leading up to the wedding, and responses were prompt and thorough each time, which you will come to appreciate when planning your wedding. I would 150% recommend Old Orchard for your wedding. Reviewed on 05-09-2014

Jenna Bayer(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-12-2012 When we first started planning the wedding we quickly saw how expensive venues can get. One thing that was very important to me was being the only wedding at the location. Old Orchard Country Club is one of the few locations we found where we could be the only event and not spend a fortune. The food was pretty good, kind of generic. I grew up with a chef as a parent, so my food taste is high. Their wedding package includes pretty much everything you could want. They offer these centerpieces which include a mirror, 3 glass tubes and 3 votive candles. You have to provide the flowers or other filler for the tubes, but this saved us a ton of money. \r\rWe worked with their coordinator, Lisa, to organize everything. My emails would sometimes get lost and go unanswered, but every time I called my requests were immediately dealt with. I prefer email, but it is nice to know that you can call and get an answer right away!\r\rI wish that they had higher ceilings in the ceremony/reception room, but over all I am very happy. The reception room has a back lit wall behind the head table which provides a beautiful glow. Their chandeliers are also very beautiful. They have custom lighting options for the columns in the reception room as well which was a nice touch. I love the fireplace and bar atmosphere that was in the cocktail hour room. Overall I would definitely recommend this location to someone who wants a private venue, but can't spend a ton of money. We added a bunch of additional things (dessert table, upgraded beer/liquor, chair covers, etc...) and were still able to keep it under $100 per person. Reviewed on 15-01-2013

Erica Fine(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-06-2012 These reviews are spot on! The venue and grounds are so beautiful (ballroom chandeliers, uplighting, country club greenery setting with ponds and fountains, ballroom white pillars, dance floor, sheers with lights behind wedding party tables), it makes up for some day-of service issues we experienced. During the outdoor ceremony in the front, the birds were chirping and added to the very special ambiance. On the plus side, Lisa helped to tell us when to each walk out for the ceremony, coordinated the chair rentals chair covers and cake, the head table and chair arrangements were spot-on, the chicken marsala and tilapia and red potatoes and fruit cup and buttered green beans and carrots were delicious, the bar service and reception table service was great and most importantly our guests had a GREAT TIME! A few points of caution / issues we experienced: If you fall for the pictures with red white and purple/blue flowers up front, you're best to wait until after mid June. Flowers aren't planted until the week before Memorial Day (thankfully Lisa advised us to push our date back to get the flowered look but we still should have waited 1-2 more weeks for the blooms). For the day-of, we were promised a custom event and unfortunately the venue under-delivered in some aspects. Appetizer quantities fell short and servers didn't walk around enough to reach everyone, the specific bottled beers and Ketel One we had chosen in the contract were not served (did eventually push to get the Ketel), filet temperatures varied vastly (bride/groom was almost rare), bride & groom were promised a drink and appetizer box with golf carts waiting after the ceremony but had to re-request and wait for them, and then unfortunately the best man, the bride's father, and the groom's mother all received short/snippy reactions from Lisa after requests for more appetizers and asking to put out our parting guest favors (chocolate dipped bride & groom pretzels) out on display. I would still choose Old Orchard if I had to do it all over again, however I would hire an day-of wedding coordinator for the extra set of eyes / ears to keep the venue on point. Best of luck! She even alphabetized them when we were running short on time one night. She made us feel very comfortable.\rThe main room was beautiful! We recommend renting chair covers from a company they recommend, it really pulls the whole room together. They installed a lighting system which looked beautiful in the room. Also, they only have one wedding or event per evening, so you have their undivided attention for the entire evening. The grounds are beautiful, and weather permitting you can take the golf carts out to take pictures with your wedding party. The food was great, and the dinner/drink packages are unbeatable. You get a lot for your money! We would recommend Old Orchard Country Club to anyone looking for a reception site. They also offer their location for ceremonies as well. Reviewed on 11-05-2012
Sunhee Choe(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-03-2012 My wedding was planned in a relatively short amount of time, but Lisa was able to work with us in planning everything. She was very patient and knowledgeable, and recommended a lot of vendors to us, as well as gave ideas for decorations, etc. Reviewed on 25-04-2012
eve baltrusaitis(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2011 The Old Orchard Country Club was an excellent venue for our wedding reception. I was thrilled with the location and our experience overall. I worked with Lisa to plan our event - she was extremely helpful and accommodating. The food was great and we found the OOCC to be the best value around. Reviewed on 15-11-2011
Kristin Burke(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2011 We had an interesting experience with Old Orchard. They were incredibly accommodating with our fluctuations in guest list and had wonderful, relatively affordable food as well as a beautiful pair of rooms for the cocktail hour and reception and a gorgeous area for outdoor pictures and ceremony. However, while we were planning the wedding, their office lost one of their long-time assistants and it was very noticeable. There was a lot of difficulty getting a hold of the office, having phone calls returned, etc. Also, the speakers for our ceremony did not work, and the main event coordinator was bordering on rude to both my mother and the videographer. Additionally, during the cocktail hour, the bartender wouldn't serve a few of our groomsmen since they had out of town licenses.\rRegardless, the night was incredible, the food was delicious, when we did talk to the office, and they were very helpful in the planning process. In all, I would hold an event at OOCC again, but be prepared for some bumps. Reviewed on 17-10-2011

Mary Ryan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-05-2011 I chose to have my wedding at Old Orchard Country Club because it had everything we were looking for. The service was outstanding, Lisa Bierbower helped us throughout and made our day so special. Nothing but compliments on everything from all of our guests. I highly recommend this club for anyone looking to have a beautiful wedding. Reviewed on 31-05-2011
Kristina Bond(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-08-2013 Lisa and her staff have been doing weddings for a long time; they know exactly what needs to be done and work very well with the outside vendors. The building is older (1970's?), but I liked the clean lines and simple style. Pro's to this property: only 1 event per night, location is great (hidden from road noise; on a golf course), the banquet room has floor-to-ceiling windows on 3 sides of the room, the prices (about $56/plate with a 6-hour open bar & gratuity included!), and golf carts for the bridal party are included to ride around for pictures - this was one of the most fun parts of the day (races, anyone?)! They also just installed beautiful uplighting all around the room and charge much less than a DJ. My only complaints were that the yellow on the cake looked a little pea-soup greenish (advice: give the bakery color samples) and the wait staff messed up the smokeless sparkler procession for champagne toast (they were supposed to walk around the room with the sparklers, but instead just stood near the doorways in a line... it looked odd.) If I had to go back and re-plan our wedding, though, I would still choose Old Orchard. They did a great job and all 170 guests had an absolute BLAST... the 6-hour open bar might have helped :) Reviewed on 24-05-2011
Kathy Puangkham(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-12-2010 OOCC was a beautiful place for my reception. I originally went for pale pink chair ribbons and pink napkins but the owner highly recommended doing dark pink chair ribbons and black napkins as she said it really made it \"pop\". I was worried it would be too much but I trusted her judgment. When I saw it, I was so glad I went with her suggestion as it looks great! I was impressed that the owner really wanted our wedding to look great. \r\rI was also very happy with the look and quality of the wedding cake. I am extremely picky with cakes as I have my own small cake business (I wanted to make my own wedding cake but due to time constraints, I had them make it). The cake that was included in the package was elegant and really delicious as well. \r\rThe venue also included paebaek (traditional Korean wedding tradition) and all the things that were needed for it was included as well. \r\rOverall, I was so happy with the reception package and the value of it. Julie Weiss(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-04-2010 Although this venue was beautiful, there were several aspects that were not enjoyable. First, the good: The cocktail area was great; large area with beautiful fireplace. Lovely grounds to take pictures and the room itself was wonderful with windows all over. The dinner food and dessert spread was pretty great as well. Things that were bad: we were 'promised' several things that did not happen; our names were suppose to be on the marquee sign but weren't, the dance floor was awful and unsafe. We were told at our booking that there would be a new one, but it never came and we had to pay to rent one. They left the lights on during all the dancing (should have been dimmed). The manager was not very accesible/friendly on the day-of. Reviewed on 10-08-2010
