Omni La Costa Resort & Spa Reviews
Raquel Tanz(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2021 My family has a special connection to La Costa and our wedding there was magnificent. Stephanie and Jenna were wonderful, responsive, and took care of us. Guests raved about the views, the accommodations, the food and the overall experience - my east coast guests felt like they were on a beautiful island retreat! Our reception was outside on orchid terrace and it was a dream come true. Reviewed on 27-11-2021
Joelle Imison(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-06-2021 Having our wedding at Omni La Costa was an absolute dream! Stephanie and Jenna at Omni helped us through our two postponements and ensured that our day went seamlessly. From the beautiful resort to the food, everything was perfect! We can’t recommend this venue enough!! Reviewed on 20-10-2021
N Customer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-11-2016 I can't express how amazing the experience was. We got married about 4 months ago, and it was more than perfect! The venue itself is gorgeous, and Julieta makes it a MILLION times better. She is the sweetest, and you'll see that from the first meeting with her. The catering staff is wonderful too. I could go on and on, but I would recommend this place to anyone! Reviewed on 01-03-2017
Amber Henahan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2016 We had our wedding at the Omni Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, and from the beginning everything went well. The service and hospitality that was shown was amazing. Everything they did from booking the venue to the rehearsal dinner to the actual wedding was more than I could imagine. Julie Arroyo is the planner there and she is so accommodating and so easy to work with. She honestly made the experience so pleasant and easy. If you have your wedding there, Julie will make sure everything goes off without a hitch. If you live in SoCal or just interested in having your wedding there, I would highly recommend it. The setting is gorgeous, the staff is super accommodating and overall everything couldn't have gone better! Reviewed on 08-11-2016
Leiana Bowen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-09-2014 We got married 9/5/14 and has the most perfect weekend we could ask for! The wedding coordinator, Julietta, made sure to make our wedding weekend the most memorable, effortless event ever. I can't say enough about her. She was so professional, yet friendly and created such a personal relationship with our family! Each person at the hotel made our stay incredible. The concierge was so welcoming, the valet and golf cart drivers were hilarious and so accommodating, everyone apart of the wedding staff was so amazing. The venue itself is breath taking, we felt like we were living a dream! I wish we could get married here everyday. I guess we found our new favorite place to vacation though! Thank you La Costa :) Reviewed on 22-09-2014
Katie Stout(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-06-2013 La costa was the perfect venue for a beautiful wedding weekend. Out of town guest loved their mini vacation. It was fun hanging out with friends and family at the pool prior to the wedding. Robin and jessica, the wedding coordinators, were organized and helpful! Great choice!! Reviewed on 21-06-2013
Laurel Stensrud(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-08-2012 My overall rating is actually a 3.5 but that just wasn't possible...I took 10 of my friends to the La Costa Resort and Spa for my bachelorette party. Although the spa / bachelorette party coordinator was somewhat uncommunicative, the location is so beautiful and relaxing that it made up for her lack of returned phone calls. We each received a massage (facial or scrub), lunch entree and alcoholic beverage (various Bellinis), and a gift (two travel-size favors and a bath-bomb) for $200. We also had use of the saunas, pools, whirlpools, and other amenities. Our server was very sweet and very attentive. If La Costa would have just returned my calls, they would have received a 5-star review. Reviewed on 28-08-2012
Melody Blumreich(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2012 My Fiance and I are planning a destination wedding for May 2012 to the San Diego area and we were super excited to visit La Costa and meet with someone in person to discuss having our special day there. We live in Houston, TX, so we booked a trip this August specifically to San Diego to visit venues and meet with vendors. \r\rWe spoke with Megan Zemnick, the Director of Catering, 2 weeks prior to our trip and scheduled an appointment for 2:00 PM on a Friday. Megan confirmed this meeting herself in writing via email and even indicated for us to valet park and meet her in the lobby. \r\rWe arrived at La Costa at 1:50 PM on Friday and informed the front desk we were there for a 2 PM meeting with Megan. 30 minutes later, still no Megan. We spoke to the front desk again and they told us they would call her and locate her. At 2:35 PM, the front desk was still unable to locate her and no one had any explanation as to where Megan was. At 2:45 PM, we were approached by Megan's assistant who told us she had no idea where Megan was and could she be of assistance. At this time, my Fiance and I decided that La Costa could not possibly provide the service needed to host our special day. If the Director of catering couldn't keep a 2:00 Pm appointment, how could we trust that her and her staff would be able to host our Wedding for 100 guests on time??? \r\rPlease think carefully before considering La Costa for your wedding venue. Although it is a gorgeous venue, the resort is extremely large, with numerous events and guests as well as hundreds of staff. Even the upper management obviously finds it difficult for your special day to be kept special amiss the chaos of managing such a large resort. \r\rMegan did call us around 4:30 PM (2.5 hours after our original scheduled appointment time) and left a voice mail on my cellphone that offered a quick apology, but little explanation as to her absence. A simple \"something came up that took longer than I expected.\" \r\rWe were meeting with her to discuss booking La Costa for our Wedding (not a kid's birthday party), an event that easily can cost at least $20,000 minimum for 100 guests at this type of resort and for her to not call when 'something came up that took longer\" is unacceptable. \r\rIf you are a Bride to Be, I'm sure you can understand the frustration I experienced and I urge you to consider another venue. San Diego has so many beautiful options that you're sure to find a place that matches your vision perfectly! Reviewed on 19-08-2011
Laura Cope-Morgan(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-05-2011 from start to finish, everything was handled by them with such care. our coordinator went above and beyond in every aspect - including signing my new in-laws up for tennis on the day after and making sure every detail was perfect the day of.\r\rthe surroundings were beautiful - the views from the terrace and the rooms excellent and the area in general is so beautiful and so classically southern californian - palm trees, birds of paradise and sprawling hills surrounding the sprawling, white spanish-style resort. \r\rthe only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the food. that said, the food was very good for wedding food and for catering - i've been to many weddings and it's always the same really. the food here was definitely on-par or above compared to any of those. but, had it not been for the package that we got which included the ceremony, reception, food, bar, etc, i would have gotten a different caterer. \r\rthe package itself was incredible - such a good deal. as i said, everything was included and our coordinator even included many additional little perks. \r\ri couldn't have chosen a better location, especially due to the month and the weather. it was beautiful and i was so happy!
