Each and every staff member was not only essential in making these events happen, but they were all rockstars! From the awesome lady server at the rehearsal dinner who got the entire bridal party tequila shots for Cinco de Mayo (better tequila than from behind the bar), to our point of contact for the weekend, Christina.... everyone was so great! Christina, you are simply wonderful and I can't thank you enough! You and the entire staff made this weekend so flawless and memorable for us and we love you for that. She answered all of our questions, regardless of how many emails we sent! The food that we selected was amazingly delicious and the portions were a lot larger than we expected! From start to finish, Christina understood everything that I wanted for the evening of our son's rehearsal dinner and she produced an evening that was spectacular! She HEARD everything I had said and anticipated in advance what needed to be done. She was so tied in with the catering staff that they produced the most magnificent dinner. She coordinated with each of my vendors to make a smooth and perfect appearance for my music, photographer, centerpiece designer and audio visual company, which was in house at The Omni. It was a magical evening at the Omni Mandalay and I will forever be in their debt for receiving the special evening that I had dreamed of for our son and daughter-in-law. You couldn't possibly find a venue for any event that could that ever be better than my experience at the Omni Mandalay Dallas with Christina Pickering! Reviewed on 22-07-2014

Megan Bullard(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-05-2014 I recently booked my wedding in the courtyard at Omni Mandalay, and even with short notice (one month) Holly was so accommodating and friendly from start to finish. The venue itself was set up beautifully; the lake and beautiful flower garden make the perfect romantic backdrop. Since the chairs were white garden chairs, no covers were needed at all. At the last minute, I decided to add something to the ceremony which required a couple of extra tables, and they were in place exactly as requested at the time of the ceremony. My wedding was really small, just family and my maid of honor was the mother of my two flower girls, so needless to say she was extremely busy trying to get the 3 of them ready which didn't leave her much time to help me with the details. Holly really stepped in and was such a lifesaver, making sure everything was taken care of; from start to finish she was calm, collected and went out of her way to truly make my wedding day special and as easy and worry-free as possible for me. I fell in love with their outside garden area for our ceremony, and then when it rained on our wedding day, they took amazing care of us put us in a gorgeous ballroom for our ceremony. We looked at a lot of different venues, most of them had beautiful outdoor venues, but their indoor back-ups didn't wow us. The OMNI Mandalay is a beautiful hotel inside and out. And to top it off, we had a lot of out of town guests and they took very good care of them. Our guests told us on multiple occasions what a great hotel it was and how nice and accommodating all of the emcees were. To top things off, Christina the catering manager was always on top of things! She consistently replied to all of my emails and phone calls throughout the planning process and was there for every step the day of to make sure the day was perfect. Courtney Hoffman (unfortunately no longer with the Omni) was a lifesaver- a true delight to work with. The venue is gorgeous. We got married outside in the courtyard and had our reception in the gorgeous Mandalay ballroom. The room block rate they gave for our guests was exceptional- our guests were so pleased with the room rates. The food was phenomenal- I still get compliments on our seafood display and carving station. All of the Omni staff were accomodating, easy to reach, organized, and professional. They were EXTREMELY meticulous with every detail- from the lighting, to the chairs, linens, even how the napkins were to be folded. They worked great with every one of my outside vendors. They made special arrangements for our string quartet at the ceremony and provided a grand piano for our cocktail hour at no additional cost. The Omni has a great room for the bride and her party to get ready in on the day of- that was really wonderful. Every part of our special day went off without a hitch. The only issue we had the wedding night was there was no one around to cut the cake. The best man had to hunt someone down to get a server to cut the cake. But, that was the only tiny issue we had on our wedding day. It was a wonderful experience for my husband and I- one we will never forget. To be honest, it is expensive- it was as expensive at the Omni as it would have been at the Four Seasons (but it was much more reasonable for our overnight guests). So, if you are on a tight budget, I would not recommend. The costs seriously rack up at the end, especially with the service charges, gratuity charges, etc. But, I truly cannot recommend The Omni enough. The accomodations are truly outstanding. Everyone at the Omni staff treated my husband, my parents, my husband's parents, and I like royalty. It was a fairytale evening, and I still get rave reviews from our guests! Reviewed on 28-03-2014

The hotel itself is beautiful and we are very pleased with how everything looked on the wedding day. I was very happy with our original coordinator, however she transferred to a different department two months before the wedding and they gave us a gentleman who didn't usually handle weddings to work with. There were a LOT of gaps in communication between the transition and the new coordinator. We had to correct many things that they were supposed to give us or had originally promised us and then a month before the wedding it was like they had completely disappeared. The planning process had a lot of gaps in it and if we had known what we were getting into from the beginning we probably would have chosen a different venue. That being said, the wedding still turned out beautifully, it was just at our monetary and emotional expense. This hotel has a lot of potential and could become a wonderful wedding venue if they could just work on their communication skills. Reviewed on 12-11-2013

Their event planner, Jennifer Cline, listened to all of our needs and desires for the evening, and we were overwhelemingly amazed with how wonderful and attentive she was. We had our reception in the Rhapsody Ballroom, and it was absolutely gorgeous, just as we were promised it would be! All my guests kept talking about how expensive everything looked, but it was actually a bargain! I have referred everyone I know who is getting married to this hotel! My husband's and my magical night was brought to life by the Omni's dedicated staff, and beautiful ambiance. We sure did get our story book wedding, and I am so grateful to Jennifer Cline for making everything happen! First and foremost Jennifer Cline is the best of the best. Every detail the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed. Everything was done for us she helped us with all the vendores from the photographer to the dj, to the flowers and the minister. It was all one stop shopping. We had friends in from Minnesota that have never experiened this type of hotel and enviroment they are still talking about it. The food was Five Star, I think everyone at the wedding came up to us and commented on the food and how it just melted in your mouth. I can not say enough, what could have been a stressful day was stressfree. Jennifer was there everytime you turned around with that cute smile and what do you need now attitude to make this the best possible day of all our lives. That's not even mentioning the staff on the drive to the front desk to the concierge. Everyone had time for you no matter who you were, always a smile and how may I help. We were sad to have it all over and done, we just felt like we were leaving some of our new friends behind and we all pulled out of the drive on Sunday morning. It was great to just get in the elevator at the end of the night go to one of those beautiful rooms and relax. I would recommend for anyone to stay the night, family and friends. Don't have to worry about driving and it was such a relaxed atmosphere. I would not even say five star I would go with a perfect 10. Not to mention what a great place for photos, we just got ours back and they are breath taking. From the inside shots to the wonderful grounds and the cannel. I would recommend this hotel and wedding department to anyone. Take the time and check it out, you will not be disappointed. All the vendors that she has suggested have been top rate! I loved the atmosphere of the hotel and knew this was where I wanted our out of town guests to relax and enjoy themselves for the weekend they were in Dallas. The Omni is relaxing, spacious, and comfortable. The lobby is filled with greenery and a fountain and has many wonderful areas for pictures. There are also picturesque lawns outside for photos as well. The Mandalay Room was a gorgeous setting for our 300+ guests who enjoyed their hand-passed hors d'oeuvres, seated dinner, and dancing. Four months later our guests are still raving about that special night. Even the children and teenagers had a great time! \r\rWe had well over 50 out of town guests--some of whom had special needs. Everyone was so impressed by the hospitality, courtesy, and professionalism shown by the hotel staff. All the guests were truly welcomed. Our guests enjoyed themselves during their entire stay at the Omni, which was an important consideration for us.\r\rFrom our first meeting, the Wedding Catering Manager, Jennifer Cline, and the entire staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. There were many options which Jennifer took the time to explain carefully. I enjoyed meeting the chef for the food tasting and was very pleased with the food choices. The hotel is beautful, the food is wonderful, the rooms will not disappoint, but the level of service is the most note worthy. Jennifer Cline was our wedding coordinator for the hotel and she was pleasant, knowledgeable, prompt in responding, and always went the extra mile to ensure we were happy. I had an absolute wonderful time at my wedding because there was really nothing for me to worry about. We and most of our out of town guests checked in from Thursday to Sunday. We had @ 45 rooms at the hotel Everyone commented on how beautiful the Hotel was and how friendly and helpful the staff. They enjoyed the pool and the outstanding beverage and food service throughout the hotel. The Bar staff in the M Bar are just fabulous. I was looking for a location with indoor/outdoor capabilities and the Omni was perfect for my garden cocktail/appetizer hour and the Las Colinas Ballroom fit my large wedding with room to spare. Guests still talk about how beautiful the venue was and the mouth watering food. This venue is worth its cost and I would definitely host another event here in the future. Jennifer Cline was great to work with as she guided us expertly through the planning, and the entire hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful at every turn. We took advantage of the complimentary suite and beautiful hotel grounds for our daughter's wedding portrait session, which proved to be a great choice. And we were happy with every aspect of the event itself. The setup and service for the rehearsal, ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner dance reception were all handled beautifully and professionally under Jennifer's guidance. Our guests were very complimentary of the food and service, and those from out of town had only good things to say about their hotel accommodations (at great rates!) Since the wedding took place on New Year's weekend, it was a busy time at the Omni, but everyone involved went out of their way to make the wedding a great success! I chose outdoor since that was part of my dream wedding. Now given this is not a inexpensive location. But if you are looking for elegance and efficiency then this is the place you want to have your wedding at.
