Sarah Machmueller(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2022 Where do I even begin.......OVA is simply OUTSTANDING! Their staff, their catering, and their venue are all a dream come true! From the very start of our journey with OVA, they made us feel like family. Our big day was the things dreams are made of and a huge reason for that was the care and details they put into it. Samantha and Ariel were so professional and made sure every detail, even in the chaos of the day went smoothly. Here are a few examples. I forgot my garter at home on the day of and the staff at OVA hustled to find me a replacement so that our garter dance was a success. Another example, that I only found out about a few days after our wedding, is that my maid of honor misplaced my wedding vows that I handed to her after the ceremony. When the OVA staff caught wind of this, everyone from the coordinators to the waitstaff was searching the grounds and even garbages to find them! If that's not above and beyond service, I don't know what is lol Felicia is a master chef who spent detailed time with us curating our menu. Absolutely everyone who was at our wedding raved about the food. The appetizers, the main course, the desserts and the late-night food truck, all were a huge hit that our guests are still talking about! I wish we could do it all over again! If you are thinking of booking a wedding or event with OVA, stop thinking and do it! You will not be disappointed. The staff at OVA has truly become family to my husband and me and we can't wait to visit them again soon at one of their 'date night' events. Reviewed on 13-10-2022

Katrina Wiedmeyer(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-09-2020 I would not trust this place with your special day. A few days after we toured and discussed what we were looking for money-wise, we wrote a check for the deposit and went to meet with Felicia and discuss and sign the contract. It was cold and rainy that night, Felicia suggested we can just give her our check and she will email the drafted contract and we can go from there. We are very trusting people and out of good faith, we trusted she would take care of us. She emailed the contract to us, it was not what we had discussed when we walked through the venue. We went back and forth on different options with the menu to try and make it more in our budget. She would adjust the fees for the food, but then increase the percentage of the gratuity, so the total expense would come out the same as before. After a few emails back and forth, I explained that I don't have a good feeling about the situation and was not interested in having my wedding at her venue. I asked for the deposit back, since we did not sign any contract, we did not hear back from her. I would not trust this woman and her unethical business. She was initially prompt and nice, but after she had our money, she took a long time to respond and seemed to have an attitude. I am glad that this nightmare happened to my husband and I so early in our planning process. Everything happens for a reason- because of this crappy experience with Felicia and Orchard Valley Acres, we found an amazing barn venue 15 minutes away from Orchard Valley Acres , it was more cost-efficient, more beautiful, more inclusive, less limitations on vendors and the owner really put her heart into our day.DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR WEDDING/MONEY!! Cassandra James(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-09-2019 We had our wedding on 9/7/2019 and were completely blown away by Orchard Valley Acres. Let me start by saying that when we booked the venue and started to see poor reviews, I was nervous. HOWEVER, after seeing how Felicia and her team perfectly executed our day, I can’t even imagine where those negative reviews came from. We had our rehearsal dinner at the venue and it was catered by Felicia/OVA. The tables were decorated beautifully and the food was incredible. We had vegan and gluten free members in our wedding party and Felicia went above and beyond to accommodate them. Their team was efficient, friendly, and made sure our night was everything we hoped. Everyone raved about the food long after we left and nobody could wait to eat the wedding food! On to the wedding date...it was better than anything we could have imagined!!!!! Orchard Valley Acres nailed it down to the very last detail! The venue looked incredible. Flowers were everywhere, the grass was green, the ceremony set up was flawless. Then THE FOOD. 2 days later and I still have guests telling me it was the best food they’ve ever had-wedding or not. Felicia went above our expectations for the appetizer spread during cocktail hour. A huge variety of different bites to eat and our guests loved it. For dinner, We had the organic hog, bourbon glazed turkey, spinach & mushroom pasta, whipped Yukon golds, and root beer baked beans. Everyone said it was the best mashed potatoes they’ve ever had. Felicia gave a wonderful introduction speech during dinner and congratulated us on our big day. Her daughter Ariel checked in with me often to see how things were going. Communication during the wedding was well done. Our night ended with huge hugs from Felicia and her husband! I know everyone has their own opinions and expectations of a wedding venue... I encourage you to see Orchard Valley Acres for yourself! The price, the location, the passion of the owners/staff, and the tasty food made it an easy decision for us and we are so happy with our choice! Reviewed on 09-09-2019

Jared Brammer(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-08-2018 My wife was looking for a rustic barn venue and Orchard Valley Acres delivered. Working with Felicia and all of the staff involved with our reception was extremely easy. Everyone was prompt in their responses to my questions, thorough in the contract process and professional in the walk-throughs of the property. Felicia is an executive chef by trade and catered all of the food on-site making it extremely easy for her to fit the menu exactly to our tastes and budget. Dinner, a s'mores bar in the corn cribs, and late-night appetizers prepared on a rustic fire engine by Felicia herself made the reception a true experience all guests thoroughly enjoyed. The venue is already decorated with lights and natural rustic decor that had our guests in awe all night. It truly was a perfect night and OVA went well above and beyond our expectations. A+ would highly recommend! Reviewed on 21-08-2018

Not even sure where to begin. The complete lack of respect and rudeness from the staff was just the beginning of why NO ONE EVER should trust this place to have their event in. If I could give a negative rating I would in a heartbeat. From the snarky remarks made by the staff to themselves when they thought no one was listening to the beyond rude way they asked us to leave at the end of the night to changing the pickup time the day after three days before the wedding. I could go on and on. Please be very careful if you chose this place for your wedding or event. I know others had a great experience but apparently they just didn't like the people this past weekend and wanted to make it very well known. I will give two examples of the negative experience I had with the staff but know there were plenty more. We were there for the rehearsal and I had my kids with me. My daughter had spiked a fever that afternoon and was not in the best shape. I was simply trying to go back to the car to get her some medication and my son a sweatshirt. We walked around the back part of the barn to get to the car. THERE WAS NO SIGN OR BARRICADE stating that we were not supposed to go that way. I was less than 5 feet from the path back to the parking lot when a younger woman started yelling at me and my kids that we had to stop and go back the other way. Apparently that was a service drive and the \"catering space\" and we were not allowed there. I apologized and asked if I could please just go to my car as my daughter was sick. She looked at me and said no. I said please I have my kids with me and she said not even with your kids. Go back and walk around the correct way and don't come back here again. I respected what she said as I did not want to create any more difficulties for the Bride and Groom. Both of my kids were startled by her yelling and asked why the lady was being so mean. Her complete lack of compassion or caring for us was so necessary. We did not get the memo that we were not supposed to go that way because we arrived slightly late to the rehearsal. She could have very easily let us know what the rule was and let us go on our way. We would have complied the rest of the weekend of course. They also could have had proper signage up to let us know. They did finally the day of the wedding but not the rehearsal day. I found out later that this person was the daughter of the owner so please beware. You will have to deal with her. Both the mother and the daughter were apparently so nice in the beginning and by the week before completely changed how they acted. Lastly at the end of the night the owner started yelling at all of the remaining guests to get out now! Mind you it was 12:05 am and we the wedding party were just trying to get things cleaned up a bit. She did not care and started forcibly moving people out of the barn while yelling the whole time. Never in my life had I experienced people so rude at a venue. The bride and groom paid good money to be there and you would have never known it with how they acted. Please be aware before booking with the venue! Reviewed on 25-06-2018
