Orlando Science Center is a delightful venue in Orlando, FL, where couples can host their wedding. We had our wedding at the Orlando science center in March 2023. After hearing horror stories from friends about wedding planning, I was so grateful and impressed with the science center and their wonderful staff. We had the best night of our lives and had the most fun and beautiful wedding we could have ever hoped for. The staff at the science center is very responsive to emails/calls. They answer questions thoroughly and offer different options for customization. For the wedding you have access to the fourth floor: there is a terrace outside, the our planet room (full of exhibits to interact with), and the Dino digs room. They also offer a beautiful sky bridge with different color crystals hanging from the ceiling to do your exit on. They offer options for different dance floor colors and sizes. They also have chairs and tables that you can utilize for your ceremony or reception. The main help in the planning process was the list of preferred vendors. The science center has worked with the vendors on the list many times and it helps your wedding run super smoothly and if anything went wrong on my wedding day I was certainly unaware and didn’t notice any mistakes. If you are thinking about the science center they also have a wedding expo twice a year called Unveil. I would highly recommend going just to meet vendors and see the space. They also have a brochure that you can access online with different pictures from previous weddings and all the info you need for planning.The science center provides a month of coordinator to help with any questions or setup issues you might run into. We needed a couple easels and tables for welcome gifts/signs and they provided everything we needed. The coordinator worked with my wedding planner to help with any issues we might have run into. Overall the process was super smooth and we had such a great wedding. It was so much fun and looked amazing. I HIGHLY recommend the science center for your wedding (or any special event really). They are professional and (as they will tell you) quite literally have their weddings down to a science. I planned my wedding in about 7 months and it was pretty stress free and I had THE BEST wedding. Thank you so much to the science center and staff for helping make our wedding the best freaking day of our lives!!!

Money absolutely worth spent!!! Every part of our experience with our wedding at the science center was incredible. Our guests could not say enough about how great the venue was. Everyone told us it was the best wedding venue they had ever been to. We agree. The organization and communication via emails with our coordinators was perfect. Our day-of coordinator Danielle, made our day run so smoothly and perfectly. She had every question answered before I even asked it. She set up our reception space so beautifully it was even more perfect than I had imagined it.

I had the best experience at the Science Center. As a science teacher this was the venue of my dreams! The staff is so amazing, helpful, organized, and inclusive. You get so much for your money. 3 venue spaces, tables, chairs, and a day of coordinator (Alex is amazing). Married under the moon and dined with dinos!

The only issue we had with the whole event was that the wind would not allow for our table decorations! We booked the Orlando Science Center (OSC) as our wedding venue for our event on 8/6/2022. Helen, Laura, and Alex were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end! We planned our wedding from out of town, but the OSC team was very flexible, responsive, and easy to work with. They were also willing to let us periodically visit the museum to help visualize decor and table placement. Their detailed planning questionnaire was very helpful in addition to the AllSeated diagram, which enabled us to further visualize the room setup prior to the day of the event. We received numerous compliments from our guests related to the uniqueness of the venue! We loved that we had three unique areas at the venue reserved for our event (ceremony in Our Planet, cocktail our in the Rotunda and beautiful Terrace overlooking Orlando, and reception in Dino Digs). A few of our friends said it was the most kid friendly wedding ever since there were plenty of things around to keep the kiddos entertained! We loved OSC as our wedding venue and if we had to do it all over again, we would definitely choose them every time!

The Orlando Science Center (OSC) made all of our dreams come true on our wedding day! Since booking them over a year before our wedding, they were always quick to respond to emails and kept lines of communication always open for us. We unfortunately had to deal with Hurricane Ian during our wedding week but our coordinators at OSC helped calm my fears and assured us that our wedding would happen...and it sure did! Special shoutout to Molly and Laura, who worked with my husband and I throughout the entire planning process, but especially Molly. Because of the hurricane, we did not get the chance to do a rehearsal but she made sure we all knew what to do, where to go, and when. She completely knocked it out of the park!! Even with décor drop off happening a mere 3 hours before wedding start time, she got everything set up and beautiful for us. We couldn't have asked for a better team with Molly leading the way! OSC is such a unique venue and our guests are still gushing about how much fun it was to be there. We would get married here year after year! We had our ceremony on The Terrace which was absolutely stunning; cocktail hour was in Our Planet, where we and our guests got to mingle and have fun with the science exhibits; and of course, our reception, Dino Digs...coolest reception ever! How many weddings have you gone to where you get to dance around dinosaur fossils all night? My guess would be none, except for my guests now ;) We did our grand exit on the Love Bridge with bubbles, sneak peak of pictures from our photographer show that it looked absolutely magical.For the couple looking to wow your guests, this venue is it. No doubt about it. Every detail is taken care of and rest assured, you will be in good hands with the event team here. Thank you again to Molly (especially!!!), Laura, and Helen for making our wedding the wedding of the century for our family and friends. See you guys for vow renewal?!

The Orlando Science Center is the perfect venue for a couple looking for something different and fun, but still has classic, romantic elements. We had our ceremony on the terrace, took photos in Loch Haven park, and then partied it up in the Dino room. As part of the venue, you work with a day-of coordinator and ours was fabulous! Alex kept us on track and organized, ensured every detail was how we wanted, and really made sure we had the best day ever--which we really, really did. We were commenting that we can't wait to bring our future kids back someday and relive our special wedding day :)

When looking for venues, I never thought doing my wedding at the science center would be it. I thought it was going to be pricey like it is everywhere. The science center ended up being our cheapest option and it’s a great venue if you’re having a kid-friendly wedding! We did not have to provide additional things for the kids because it was all there. We absolutely loved having our wedding there and if I could do it again, I would!!

I really enjoyed my experience with the Orlando Science Center. From our first meeting I know it was a great choice for our venue. You get to use the entire 4th floor which is a huge area! You can't even imagine the transformation from kid friendly museum to wedding venue. The staff was excellent and super friendly. You do have to pay to rent your floor and there is a added delivery fee not mentioned in the pamphlet (this is an obvious charge but one I did not think about). All in all great experience and the staff was incredible.

The Orlando Science Center was the best option for our wedding. We had the Terrace for the cocktail hour and the Dino Digs ballroom for the reception. They ended up moving the cocktail hour inside due to windy weather, which was a great call. Everyone loved the dinosaurs and the sign we put in the T-rex's mouth. The staff was supportive and the venue was fun and interactive for our 90 guests. Many said it was the BEST wedding and venue they’ve ever been to!

The Orlando Science Center staff were an absolute dream. We had a wedding with 114 guests on April 22nd. We did the ceremony + cocktail hour on the balcony and the reception in Dino Digs. They worked with us to recommend a list of vendors and we ended up using some of them on the day. Leading up to the wedding if we had a question we could always reach out and received timely responses. What they did even more exceptionally well was being supportive, kind, and helpful on the day of the wedding. They provided guidance during ceremony, nail glue when the unexpected occurred, and were patient as our guests exited at 12:00 AM.

This was to be a special day for my daughter and her new husband. This was a day that after over a year of planning by experienced event planners, a generous budget and some of the best vendors in the Orlando area ended in tears, frustration and unfortunately not the memories of the wedding of their dreams that my daughter and her fiance had planned.5 months prior to their wedding the couple were informed that terrace wedding start times were being moved from 6 to 5pm and ending at 10pm due to sound issues and the surrounding area, mind you the wedding invitations had already been printed, the happy couple agreed to the change because their vision had been an urban roof top vibe and the Museum agreed to reimburse them for the cost of reprinting the invitations. From the time the contract was signed until the day of the wedding the happy couple were in contact with the event staff at the museum. On the day of the wedding upon our arrival we were a little concerned due to the number of patrons who were still in the wedding ceremony space. As we moved into the cocktail hour I became alarmed again as we had contracted for the live animals visit during the cocktail hour as a special touch for our guest. After 20 minutes of searching for the animals I decided to hunt down our day of coordinator, Helen, who informed me that the animal handler had called in sick.She then stated that she did not want to upset my daughter by telling her this prior to the ceremony. My daughter is an event planner at one of the most exclusive country clubs in Orlando and I retired as the Recreation Superintendent for the most highly recognized Parks and Recreation Departments, our motto has always been \"NO Surprises\"!!!My attention next went to the flurry of activity on the terrace which is where the reception was scheduled. As the time ticked on, I became aware again of the delay with the DJ, this delay caused a 20 minute delay of the reception and the bridal party entrance.The Reception area was BEAUTIFUL!! Dinner, first dance and wedding toasts went off without a hitch.Guest were invited onto the dance floor and 5 minutes in the power to the DJ went out causing a 10 minute delay. Power was restored, 5 minutes in and the power goes out again. This continued over the next hour resulting in figure pointing between the DJ and the museum staff, my daughter losing it, and terse words between myself, the DJ and the museum staff. What was suppose to be their special night, filled with wonderful memories, will for a long time be remembered as the night the music stopped, and stopped and stopped.At about 9pm the museum staff offered to move the reception into the Dino room until 11pm adding an additional hour to the reception for time lost. They also refunded all funds associated with the venue rental as did the DJ for services provided.Long story short, it wasn't about the money, it was about the MEMORIES, which can NEVER BE REFUNDED or RECREATED! No one has yet taken responsibility for the events that occurred with my daughter's wedding, I guess their idea is to just throw money at the situation and hope that it just goes away.Anyone who decides to have your wedding on the terrace at the Science Museum of Orlando please ensure that adequate power is provided to the DJ in the new location and that enough time has been allocated from the time of the museum closing to the start of your wedding because the current schedule is not realistic

From all reviews I was so happy that we choose to go with the science center to have our wedding. I should have known from the red plays that were presented to us in the 4 months before the wedding that there would be some problems. In December I got an email from Helen about having to change the time of the wedding due to noise complaints by near by residents… now we already had the invites printed and ready to be sent out but we had to delay this because clearly we had to do a reprint on the invites - after going back and forth with Helen they did pay for the reprints… with the moving up of the time for our wedding this clearly meant that the set up was goi g to be shorter for all vendors… HUGE red flag but I was assured that it would be all right. With the noise complaint from the neighbors of the science center they changed where the DJ was to be at… now this is where it gets fun and fingers get pointed… the breaker to where the DJ has his equipment running from keeps tripping. Music keeps getting shut off… I had one clear vision in mind and needless to say the wedding was not executed by the science center team or DJ. Helen even blamed the DJ saying she’s never seen the DJ and all other stuff inky to find out that in fact that DJ did a wedding there in October. I dug deep to find evidence. There still continues to be finger pointing and no one is taking responsibility for their part in the mess up of the wedding. Since the music kept tripping they did move us inside to the Dino room. 2 days after wedding Helen emails me saying she wants to talk about the wedding but I was too upset so I had my husband talk to her, the science center gave us some money back for the mishaps. In all don’t have a wedding there if you want to use the terrace. The time frame is AWFUL! I do parties and events for a living and I should have saw this but I was assured that everything would work out but it didn’t. Also make sure there is adequate staffing. People were running around to try and set things and again if it wasn’t for them moving up the time earlier this could have been avoided. It seems they care more about their neighbors then the couples that are getting married there. I now wake up weekly from sleep thinking about how my wedding was ruined and I will never be able to get the memories that I missed out on back as I had to keep talking to see how things could get fixed. Helen should be embarrassed for how this all went down and again her pointing fingers and not taking any responsibility is what’s sad. If you want the outside venue type please look for another venue as this won’t be it!

The Orlando Science Center was quite literally the best place ever to get married. Not only is it beautiful, but the staff is kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Having our wedding at the Orlando Science Center was the best decision we could have ever made! Not only did we fall in love with the space, but the way the space was utilized. We had a gorgeous ceremony on the terrace, then a fun and interactive cocktail hour in the Weather Room, followed by a huge room with HUGE dinosaurs to dance the night away. Helen and Laura were always a phone call away with any questions that I had. They made the whole process so stress free - so thank you so much ladies and the staff of OSC who helped make it the best night of our lives. I will be recommending the Orlando Science Center to anyone who asks because it was just that amazing!

We hosted our 2/12/22 wedding at the Orlando Science Center, and could not have been more thrilled with how it turned out! The team (especially Laura!!) were great to work with, patiently answering all of my many, many questions, and ensuring our big day went off without a hitch! The Terrace, Our Planet, and DinoDigs spaces served as the perfect backdrop to our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, and provided us (and our guests!) with a truly unique and out of this world experience. I would recommend this venue to absolutely anyone!!

OMG when I first saw the Orlando Science Center I knew that's where I wanted to get married!!! Everything was seriously so amazing!! Laura and Helen was extremely helpful throughout the entire process, and never let me feel that I was a bother. They were so flexible so with many things, I just couldn't believe how AMAZING our wedding turned out. It was truly a dream!!! From start the finish the process was truly easy. We changed our minds a few times, and they were always so accommodating every single time! Our guest had such an amazing time and many said it was the best wedding they've ever been to! We know that a few family members are trying to top it, but they won't be able to, because they don't have this venue. This venue is truly EVERYTHING!!!! It's not only unique, but it's STUNNING!!! The lights, the views, the photogenic, and the ambiance of it all just truly can't be beat!! I recommend the Science Center 10x's over!!! And I can't wait until we have kids and can bring them there!! That will truly be a special moment!!!

They made the process of securing a venue so easy, and I do not joke when I say that MANY people at the wedding remarked how it was the greatest wedding they have ever been to. I cannot possibly thank them enough for their attention to detail, their exceptional communication, and I'm sure the hours that went on behind the scenes to ensure I had the best night of my life. I can't recommend the Orlando Science Center enough. Helen, Laura, and Micala were all so wonderful to work with. All three of them were so responsive and so helpful even when I asked a million questions. They are truly a well-oiled machine. Their list of vendor recommendations were so helpful. Micala was amazing when we did our rehearsal and on the day of. Everything ran so smoothly! I can't thank the Science Center enough! All of our guests were raving about the dinosaurs and how unique of a venue it is. Look no further for a great wedding venue!

I cannot express how grateful I am for Helen, Shannon, and everyone who helped us out at the Orlando Science Center. I had originally booked a different venue but the pandemic threw a wrench in our 2020 plans, and we needed to find a new (responsible!) venue for our postponed celebration in 2021. Helen made it so easy and stress-free to book our space. Our wedding, on Halloween 2021, was absolutely perfect. Our guests were in love with the incredible details OSC allows for—like our gator guest at cocktail hour, custom T-Rex sign, and dress photo in the smaller dino’s mouth. Everyone had a great time playing with the AR dinosaurs and making the smaller dinosaur move and roar sporadically throughout the night—such a fun detail that was perfect for our Halloween theme! The photos are sheer perfection; everything truly looked remarkable. I can’t tell you how many of our guests told us afterwards that this was the coolest wedding they had ever been to, and OSC is definitely to thank for that praise! Could not have asked for a more perfect night at a more perfect venue.

Our wedding day was an absolute dream! The Orlando Science Center was such a unique place to get married. All of our guests loved it! We were originally supposed to have our ceremony on the terrace, but moved to \"Our Planet\" due to bad weather. It all turned out perfect! We went to a friends wedding at OSC and knew what an awesome venue it was. They have plenty of event stuff for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place and on the same floor. We had such a great time at our recent wedding at the Orlando Science Center (OSC), and we’re so glad we picked it as our wedding venue! We had our reception outside on the terrace, cocktail hour in Our Planet, and our reception in Dino Digs. The entire events team at the OSC is incredibly good at what they do. Starting with our initial experience with the venue tour and continuing through all of the planning, we knew that our wedding was in good hands. We had the experience of working with four different members of the OSC team, and they were all professional and easygoing. During the contract and planning stage it was great to work with Helen and Laura, and our coordinators on the wedding day, Micala and Jimi, were so helpful and made sure that everything went smoothly. The OSC is such a fun venue, so much more than the other wedding venues that we considered, with the interactive exhibits that our guests were able to enjoy throughout the evening. We’re so glad that we booked here, and highly recommend it for any and all events!

This is an excellent venue. From the beginning, my husband and I knew that we wanted to give our guests, many of which were children, a variety of ways to enjoy themselves at the wedding besides just dancing. The science center gave access to the entire fourth floor, which had the balcony, Our Planet, and Dino Digs. All rooms were stunning with the decorations and lighting. The bridal party was given a space to get ready and relax, which was awesome. Helen, Laura and Hannah also were so responsive and did such a great job coordinating from start to finish. The vendors they recommend also are top-notch. Everything came together beautifully.

I don't even know where to begin with this review. Everything about this place was PERFECT. Laura was absolutely amazing in helping us plan our perfect day. We were supposed to have our reception on the outdoor terrace, but unfortunately it had to be moved inside due to weather. With that being said, I couldn't have pictured a more perfect back-up plan. We dined and danced with the dinosaurs and our guests thought it was the coolest venue spot! It beats the \"traditional\" ballroom atmosphere with drapes all over the walls and ugly carpet-which is exactly what we were trying to avoid. I also felt that their price points were extremely reasonable in comparison to other places we looked at (and they give a teacher discount, which I am!). I HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding or next event!

THIS VENUE IS UNIQUE!!! The ease of having your ceremony, cocktail hour, & reception all on 1 floor in 3 different rooms was key for us choosing them. All of our guests were wowed by their Dino Digs room which was where our reception was held. Our wedding had a Harry Potter theme and the day of coordinators at the Science Center placed our decorations way better than I could've thought to! Communication with them was on point considering COVID had us reschedule the 1st wedding. Given the chance I would rebook this venue for a private event in a heartbeat!

DO YOU WANT A WEDDING VENUE THAT IS UNIQUE, FUN, AND DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHERS?! Then choose OSC, you absolutely will not be let down. So may of our guests came up to us to tell us how brilliant, unique, and fun it was to have our wedding at the Science Center. We had our cocktail hour in the Dino and Planet room, and our guests had access to all of the exhibits, so there was no \"awkward lull\" between the ceremony and reception. Everyone had a blast taking pics with the dinos, digging for fossils, and even being in the tornado simulation station! The staff was so accommodating and made everything so seamless. They went out of their way to make sure myself and my husband had nothing to stress about. Its also a HUGE plus that they allow you to bring in different vendors so you can really make your wedding true to you. Helen and her staff are amazing, 10/10 will recommend to anyone and everyone!

OSC was absolutely fantastic! All night our guests kept telling us how much they loved the venue and how cool everything looked. Tons of people were getting up all night to take photos with the dinosaurs. Cost of the entire Level 4 for our ceremony and reception was very cost efficient and also one of the better options around for those who don't want to do a church and don't like hotel ballrooms. The OSC Staff were all incredibly professional and friendly. Helen was quick to respond to emails and was very patient with us with all our questions about the booking and planning process. Laura and Hannah were our day-of coordinators and they were on top of everything, keeping us in the loop of what's happening and were quick to help deal with minor glitches like wrangling family members for photos, tracking down the guestbook, unlocking the terrace doors for photos etc.They all did such a wonderful job communicating with our vendors as well and the entire night went smoothly from start to finish. We cannot recommend them enough as a wedding venue!!!

We had a wonderful experience with the Orlando Science Center and we could not have picked a better venue! At a mid-range price point, they include a day-of coordinator, event space, tables, chairs, and excellent communication. All emails and calls sent to the events department were handled swiftly and professionally. We were able to visit the location during normal business hours to see the exhibits (in order to plan our layout and see the space in person) and our tickets were comped. Our coordinator handled almost all communication with our other vendors in the weeks before the wedding to handle the logistics on their end (ex: where the DJ could find outlets, how the caterer should arrive, etc.), which was a HUGE sigh of relief for us. We had a few hiccups on the day of (the wrong sign was put up for a different couple), but once we called attention to them, they were handled quickly and without issue. Ultimately, the venue was beautiful, fun for guests, and makes the whole process easier!

We had an amazing wedding at OSC! Laura and Helen were great to work with and helpful with our many questions. They have vendor recs for every budget and I'm glad we took their picks for lighting, catering, and flowers as it made our ceremony and setup a breeze.I'm especially grateful to Lauren who coordinated our lakeside ceremony, because I realized too late I had *zero clue* what we should do, or in what order! Our guests absolutely loved the rooftop reception. It was the perfect space and we did not feel cramped or too sparse with 160 + a buffet + a band. My recommendation for brides to be is uplight your space and check out Instagram for examples. It really transforms the room!

The Science Center was the most incredible venue. I am still just giddy over the perfect atmosphere. Our guests were shocked by the gorgeous views and stimulating exhibits. We started with a picture perfect ceremony on the water at Lake Formosa just across the street from the Science Center. Then guests walked to the Science center for cocktail hour in Dino Digs where everyone was blown away by the massive dinosaur sculptures and elegant cocktail set up. Then guests were wowed a 3rd time for our reception held outside on the SunTrust Terrace. The gorgeous string lights and breathtaking view of the City skyline at night was the icing on the cake for our guests. We got so many compliments about our unique and trendy venue. I couldn’t be more happy with how everything turned out. Mikaela was our day coordinator provided by the venue at no additional cost and she was an absolute JOY to work with. She made it so easy. Helen, the director, was wonderful as well. I had zero stress throughout the planning experience thanks to this amazing team. Truly can’t say enough. My wedding was perfect!

We wanted a venue that was unique and not just like other ballrooms or hotel spots! We fell in love with the venue and loved the options we had depending on weather. Even though my initial plan of doing the ceremony and reception outside did not work out...using the dinosaur room ended up being amazing and more than I imagined! We even had extra lights on the dinosaurs during the holidays! Helen was easy to work with and having day of coordinators that were part of the venue helped a lot! They made our wedding a night to remember!

It took us a few months to decide that the science center was the right venue based on several factors important to us. We were very budget conscious and the science center was the perfect choice because because it came with a day of coordinator who was incredibly helpful, parking was included, seating and tables for 100 people was included, and it was an amazing venue! The staff was incredibly helpful with making sure all of our vendors were on the same page and the coordination of the wedding was perfect. Our cake vendor had an accident the day of the wedding and our coordinator jumped right in with helping to cut the cake. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the science center and how perfect they made our wedding day.

What an amazing venue! You get the whole fourth floor with the Dino Digs and Our Planet exhibits along with the rotunda and rooftop terrace. The exhibits made it fun for the kids and drunk adults alike, and the terrace is absolutely beautiful, you get views of downtown Orlando and the market lighting makes it extra special. It's a big space so there's plenty of room for everyone. One of the key selling points for us in choosing the Science Center was that a coordinator assists you, Laura was wonderful. We loved our venue and wouldn't change a thing. A friend that attended our wedding told us shortly after that he recommended the Science Center to another engaged friend as a veue because he was so impressed by it. 100% recommend!

The Our Planet provided an intimate ceremony space, while the Dino Digs gave us a fun vibe for the reception. I would do it all over again exactly the same way in a heartbeat.

LOVED this venue for the uniqueness. And it was so wonderful having the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in the same place. There was some turnover on the team that made things pretty stressful toward the end, but they came through ok. The favors and place cards were not set properly, which caused some confusion with seating assignments. And even though we sent photos of the centerpiece set up and asked them to make us aware if any of the centerpieces had been damaged during setup, they never mentioned any damage, and yet our professional photos came back and at least 5 of the 15 centerpieces had been damaged. It would have been a quick fix for each one, but nobody made us aware to give us a chance to fix it before our Guests saw them like that. Nothing earth shattering, but just things I wish we could do over.

I just had my wedding at the Orlando Science Center a couple weeks ago. It was absolutely perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a single thing! Everyone I worked with at the science center was very helpful and upbeat. They do a great job at keeping you organized and are always very quick to respond to any questions. Having the day of event coordinator was awesome as I didn’t have to stress about a single thing on the day of the wedding (even when my groom forgot his tie). They meet with you before the wedding to make sure they understand your vision and make it come to life. I’ve had so many people tell me what a great time they had and what a unique venue it was! I used preferred vendors from their list (4Rivers catering, Live Happy photography, and DJ Live Productions) and they all worked beautifully together. Since all of these vendors have worked together before they are familiar with what is allowed at the science center or what works best. So if you’re considering Orlando Science Center as your venue, stop hesitating...do it!

Our wedding at the Orlando Science Center was perfect. During the planning phase, the staff was super responsive and provided recommendations on a whole host of things ranging from vendors and floor plans to where where we should place cornhole during the cocktail hour. The wedding itself had the perfect mix of beauty and fun. Our first look photos were at the lake across the street, and this provided an absolutely stunning backdrop for photos. The ceremony and cocktail hour was on a beautiful white terrace overlooking trees and downtown Orlando. Then the party was with dinosaur fossils providing an elegant yet fun environment that our guests raved about. And the day-of coordinator provided with the venue was so helpful in organizing vendors and getting everyone down the aisle. As you can see, I'd highly recommend this venue for future brides!

My husband and I had the most amazing wedding at the Orlando Science Center. Our ceremony took place in June on the outdoor terrace, and our reception was inside in the DinoDigs room. The value you get for the price of the venue is amazing. The science center is closed during wedding time so there’s no strangers around using the exhibits, you get an on-site wedding coordinator who is there to answer any questions about planning (I emailed them a lot with questions throughout the months before my wedding and they were always prompt in getting back to me!), free parking in the parking garage for guests, getting ready rooms, etc. Every person we worked with was knowledgeable, comforting and friendly. On my wedding day, they worked flawlessly with our other vendors to ensure everything got done and was put together beautifully, and it was. Even if something had gone south with decoration, the science center is such a fun and unique venue, no one would have noticed. We received so many compliments and couldn’t have been happier with our venue choice. If you’re considering having your wedding here, go on a tour- you won’t regret it.

From the initial viewing of the venue, the week of the event & day of, everything went smoothly. There is not one thing that I would change! I cannot put into words how thankful I am to have found such an amazing venue and staff!They have a preferred vendor list, but you can chose your own, but let me just say that their preferred list was preferred for a reason! The Orlando Science Center is a beautiful, unique wedding venue to host a one-of-a-kind wedding. My wedding ceremony was outside by Lake Formosa and the reception was in Dino Digs—I love that by working through the science center, I was able to have the outdoor wedding of my dreams, while still knowing that we had a backup option inside if it had rained. It wasn’t inexpensive, but it was comparable to other options in the area, we thought it was a great deal.The events team at the OSC are all so kind and helpful. The signing of the contract and the initial coordination was handled by the head of the department, Helen, and then we were passed off to Megan and Tori for the coordination. I will say this was a bit complicated, as Tori is part time, and there would be times where we would have to coordinate with Megan and Tori would be left out of the loop, or visa versa, which resulted in one or two “miss”es during the night of the wedding. If I was going to be married at the OSC again, I would make sure to have a long, focused discussion about the temperature in the Dino Digs room. We had requested that the temperature be turned down before the event in the founders room, assuming that the rest of the area would be an appropriate temperature, but the evening of the wedding we found the reception area to be way too hot. I had multiple guests come up to me and comment on it, and a few of the elderly guests had to leave early because of it. Worst of all, I became so overheated that I got sick, and wasn’t able to return to Dino Digs for most of my reception. (Fortunately I was able to stand out on the terrace, but that’s not where the party was...) Once we arrived to the room, we immediately knew it was too hot, and Tori said that she spoke to the building manager to turn the air conditioning down, but the room was too big for it to make a noticeable impact by the end of the night. We only had 130 people at our wedding, so it wasn’t only caused by the body heat—it really was the venue itself that was too hot.Overall, this is a great venue with kind, hard working people, that want to make sure you have the wedding of your dreams. I absolutely would choose this venue again, if I went back in time—I just would have done a few things differently to make sure my night went more flawlessly.

From my endless calls and emails (sorry ladies!), to making sure every detail was perfect on my wedding day, the OSC was absolutely the best choice for our wedding! We toured many places, but nowhere else was nearly as fun, beautiful, or accommodating. The staff all went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Also, the venue itself is absolutely amazing. Our guests loved playing in the Our Planet room during cocktail hour, and the Dino digs was a huge hit for the reception! In all, the whole thing was Dino-mite, and it’s all thanks to the OSC events team!

Look no further brides and grooms, y'all have found your venue! Unique, fun, different, and amazing are the words our guests used to describe the Orlando Science Center. We used the Our Planet room for our cocktail hour, and the Dino Digs for our reception. The Our Planet room was so fun that we had difficulty getting people into Dino Digs for dinner! Once they got into the Dino Digs room their minds were blown! The backdrop of the dinosaurs creates an amazing atmosphere for a rocking party, and a spectacular time. The staff is incredibly helpful too. They had 3 people there that evening catering to our every whim! Leading up to the big event, we had multiple calls, and they worked with me remotely from Virginia. Everything I asked for was taken care of, I was intensely particular and they were total pros and not even bothered a bit! I cannot recommend them highly enough! Did I mention that Hurricane Irma caused us to cancel our first wedding attempt in September? It did, and the Orlando Science center team totally rolled with the punches, they were on the phone with me days before helping me select a new date, and keeping me from totally panicking. We can't thank them enough for a wedding reception we will treasure a lifetime, and a party our guests can't stop talking about!

Just had my wedding there last weekend (2/10/18) and it was the perfect venue! I worked with Megan and Helen in the beginning then had Andrea as my day-of coordinator. Though a centerpiece or two was out of place, everything else seemed perfect. Nice and efficient staff. My only word of advice would be to have a someone close to the wedding double check the ceremony and reception space for details. My wedding was about 160 and was one of the biggest they had accommodated. Over all, just a great experience and made my wedding so unique!

The Orlando Science Center was a dream venue for my husband and I. The staff were AMAZING. Everything went so smoothly on our day of. We only hosted a cocktail hour and reception here. Our cocktail hour was in the Dino Digs area and our guests were completely WOWed by the playful and unique surroundings. With additional lighting and decor the space really turns into an elegant area to host a pre-dinner get together. Our dinner and reception was hosted on the terrace. I can not recommend this space enough. I feel like it is one of the best kept secrets in Orlando as far as venue spaces go. The view of downtown Orlando is gorgeous. The open skyline around the terrace gives a beautiful breeze which is not easy to come by in humid Orlando! Our reception was in the middle of September and the weather on the terrace could not have been more beautiful. Our coordinator that we worked with Megan and she was so helpful, organized, and on the ball with everything. They made dropping/picking up our decorations and flowers such a breeze. Every last detail was taken care of and it made my day so less stressful. Another huge plus with the Science Center is they had one of the most extensive approved vendor lists of any of the locations we toured. If you are a couple who are looking for a unique, fun venue that strays away from your typical hotel-ballroom feel, I can't recommend The Orlando Science Center enough!

We got so many compliments on this venue, both because it’s different and because it’s absolutely gorgeous. Our guests loved that it suited our interests and personalities, and some of the Snapchat videos from cocktail hour in the Our Planet exhibit made awesome entertainment the day after. We had our ceremony at the lakefront and our reception on the terrace overlooking downtown Orlando, and both locations were everything we could have wanted. The venue coordinators here are also awesome (we worked mostly with Andrea, Megan, and Helen). From start to finish, they consistently went the extra mile, from offering to push our ceremony start time up so we could have a sunset ceremony the week after Daylight Savings Time ended, to an incredibly timely swap of chairs at the ceremony site when it turned out the day of that we’d had a communication SNAFU regarding which rentals to use. The whole event went incredibly smoothly, and I was so happy with how it all came out. Highly recommended.

My daughter's wedding was held at OSC October 1st. It was so AMAZING. The dinosaurs set the theme for the wedding and I have never attended such a great event. The staff was fantastic to work with and did everything to make sure her day came off perfectly. We could not have asked for a better experience.

There are not enough words of praise for the entire staff at OSC! From our initial consultation through the completion of our wedding, they worked tirelessly to make sure every detail of our day was perfect without ever coming across as pushy or salesy. The venue was an absolute BLAST and was enjoyed by both kids and adults. I never thought I would want the night to last longer than it did, but because of how well organized and executed the entire wedding was, I wanted it to last forever! That is thanks to the amazing OSC team! Do yourself a favor and book this venue, you will not be disappointed!

The Science Center is an amazing venue for a wedding! Megan was awesome in the planning process and happily answered all of our questions. The guests told us it was the coolest wedding they had ever been to. It was also nice to have a place for the kids to play in the Dig Pit when they got bored with dancing. The only downside was having a day-of coordinator who wasn't the same person we planned everything with. There was a little miscommunication because of it. Even so, it was the most memorable day of my life and we would choose the Science Center again in a heartbeat!

We had our daughter's wedding at OSC and had a great time! Megan, Tori and Phoebe were wonderful to work with and Tori and Phoebe jumped in and solved an issue that we were having with the caterer when it wasn't their job to do that! All the guests loved playing in the Planet Room and the Dino room was a huge hit! Junction 88 was the DJ and MJ was amazing! Our only regret is that we didn't call the inclement weather soon enough and it back up the designers and the photographer's and made the parents very stressed trying to help out. Also the caterer we picked did not do a good job on the salad ( it looked gross) and was not helpful about filling water goblets on the tables. He had a bad attitude about helping us to solve that issue and we ended up with plastic water bottles from the bar on the tables with our china and crystal which looked tacky. Do not go with Java lava Catering...he was good to deal with at the beginning but not that night. a fun night was had by all!

At first I was skeptic about having a wedding in a museum, however, I was completely taken aback. We cannot thank the OSC team enough for our wedding day. Tori and Megan are fantastic and were efficient in responding to any and all of our concerns. Even day of our wedding, there was no stress or hassle. Our guests could not stop raving about it! If you're looking for a \"one stop shop\" wedding location, the Orlando Science Center is it!

BEST WEDDING EVER! From the beautiful venue to the wonderful staff, everyone we dealt with at OSC made it easy to plan our wedding from another state. Tori and Megan went above and beyond our expectations, always available via email or phone to answer our questions. They knew all the right questions to ask and make sure that we had all of the details squared away before our big day. Our wedding day went seamless and we didn't have to worry about anything because Tori had it all under control. I highly recommend having your wedding at OSC!

Wow! My husband and I just tied the knot at the Orlando Science Center this past weekend, December 17th, and the Orlando Science Center event team did an amazing job of making sure that our special day was absolute perfection. In the months, weeks, and days leading up to our wedding, our coordinator Megan did an excellent job of guiding us in the right direction and was avalable whenever we needed her to answer any questions. Our day of coordinator, Tori, and her assistants, Phoebe and Stephanie, were absolutely wonderful. They made our dream wedding come to life! The lake front was the most picturesque ceremony location and Tori did an excellent job of making sure the ceremony ran smoothly. She even told our wedding party when to walk down the aisle and even helped to fluff my train before my dad and I took our walk down the aisle. The cocktail hour was absolutely magical, and if you are planning to have kids at your wedding, the Dino digs excavation site is the perfect thing to keep them busy while the adults socialize! We had our reception on the terrace overlooking downtown Orlando, and honestly everything looked beautiful. The event team did a great job at setting up my center pieces and making sure everything was ready to go. Honestly, I have heard horror stories about weddings being extremely stressful for the bride, the bridesmaids, and the parents, and I can happily say that the OSC team made sure that my day was stress free. We did not have to worry about decorating the facility or breaking anything down as they took care of that for us! My husband and I are extremely happy and we appreciate the OSC team greatly for making our special day absolutely perfect! If you are looking for a different wedding venue in Orlando that is elegant, fun, stress free, and has a breathtaking view then definitely look into the Orlando Science Center! If we could do it again....we wouldn not change a thing! Thank you OSC for making our wedding day the best day ever!!!!!

The Science Center did an amazing job constantly keeping in touch with us during our planning. We loved the prompt and effective communication. The staff was very detailed and so helpful every step of the way. We had to make a last minute call due to unexpected weather but everyone was super accommodating and willing to wait as long as possible before bringing us inside. We had a small miscommunication the day of the wedding but overall we had a wonderful experience and we're so thankful that they helped make our day special. We would definitely recommend it as a unique wedding venue.

We don't say \"I do\" until May 2017 so this review is a bit early but my fiance and I are so thrilled with the team here, we had to share our experience so other couples can feel confident in selecting Orlando Science Center as their venue! We never really pictured ourselves with a reception in a hotel or ballroom and wanted something as unique as us! The DinoDigs room was the perfect alternative for us. Not only do I love the atmosphere, but I think it's great that we get to choose our vendors and really customize the wedding so it's our one-of-a-kind event.After booking the venue, Helen and her team had an amazing checklist to help us get started with other vendors. They're always helpful to guide us in the right direction and don't seem to push us one way or the other. So far we've leaned toward some of the vendors they've worked with the most so I feel very confident that our wedding day will go off without a hitch and it has made the entire experience stress free so far! Although it's my first time planning a wedding, I feel very comfortable knowing that their team has put on countless fantastic events and that no two have ever been alike. Also, we're trying to keep our wedding budget down so it's great to hear directly from the pros which elements people actually notice and what we can do away with. We can't recommend the Science Center and its amazing coordinators enough!

Fantastic venue perfect for the unpredictable Florida weather, allowing both indoor and outdoor options for your wedding and reception, allowing for last minute changes if necessary. The staff was wonderful in the planning process, very flexible and offered great suggestions. They provide a list of vendors that helps cut down your planning time, especially helpful if you don't even know where to start. Great venue for couples on a budget. Provides a unique atmosphere for your wedding - guests loved the exhibits and dinner with the dinosaurs. My only recommendation is to arrive early to avoid getting behind if the Science Center is busy that day and be prepared to take the stairs up to 4th floor as the elevators are exceptionally slow.

We had our wedding last night at OSC and it was beyond perfect. Megan and our day of coordinator Tori were amazing and so patient with all the changes and specific design ideas we had. They made the day of go smoother than I ever thought and every one of our guests raved about how much fun they had. I recommend renting the 4th floor entirely as it gave us the best of both worlds- we had a great backdrop of the Death Star in the Our Planet room for our ceremony, the classic Orlando skyline on the terrace for cocktails and dinner with the dinosaurs in Dino Digs. Seriously can't say enough for the staff and wonderful event team. I only wish we could have another wedding there tomorrow :)

I am so happy my husband and I decided on the Orlando Science Center. What you get for the price is incredible. We had our ceremony on the balcony, cocktail hour in the rotunda and the reception in Dino Digs. We had covered garage parking, an elevator to get our guests up to the 4th floor and even high chairs available for small children. Then there's the staff. I cannot say enough good things about the team. They were there when we called freaking out over decisions. They were there to check in on me. And they were there with advice like when I had a hard time choosing which shade of green I wanted. It was so nice to work with a venue that let my husband and I have the wedding we wanted. As others have said, you can put as much science as you want in your wedding. We love dinosaurs and fossils, so Dino Digs was a great fit for us. If you want your reception on the balcony, then you will enjoy a fantastic view of Downtown Orlando. From the first moment we walked in and asked about them as a venue to wrapping up the staff made for a truly great experience.

My husband and I could not be happier that we chose to have our wedding reception at the Orlando Science Center. I had the biggest smile on my face when I walked in, and saw how beautiful every detail was! The staff was extremely helpful, kind, and patient with us throughout the planning process. They made everything so easy! The room looked so elegant, and the best part was that everything was set up for us exactly how we wanted it. It was the perfect day, and I'm very thankful to all the staff for making it a memorable experience. I highly recommend the Orlando Science Center!

The Orlando Science Center had everything that we were looking for in a venue. Outdoor ceremony and reception areas plus a really cool rain alternative if needed. (which was almost needed because of Hurricane Matthew) The staff did an amazing job in setting up our reception and making sure the whole day ran smoothly. Megan was the event planner that I worked with all along. She was awesome at getting back to my emails and answering all of my questions. I would highly recommend The Orlando Science Center to any couples that are looking to have their wedding at a fun, worry free, beautiful and unique venue. My husband and I wouldn't have changed a thing about our wedding!

Our wedding at The Orlando Science Center was absolutely perfect!! They were so helpful and took care of everything. Every moment was amazing and it is all because of the wonderful coordinators they have. My fiancé and I LOVED the Orlando Science Center!! From my first meeting with Helen, I knew this was the place to hold both my ceremony and reception. Since my husband and I are both not from the Orlando area, we knew we wanted to be married somewhere different. This venue offers both indoor and outdoor options, i.e rain backup locations! Using their list of preferred venders, our wedding day went off without a hitch! Our wedding co-ordinators Megan and Hannah were very responsive via e-mail or phone, and very knowledgeable, and were able to answer a wide variety of questions. Highly recommend this cite if you are looking for a rave review from your guests!

Our wedding was truly perfect. The OSC staff were so much help and they did a great job to make sure the day went smoothly. \r\rOur guests loved our unique cocktail hour and the amazing view of downtown Orlando on the terrace during the reception. \r\rThe only compliant I heard was they kept closing the bar and also closed it 1 hour before the end of the night, which I later found out were the museum rules. I don't see this as a big deal though, before everyone had a great time.

The location was beautiful, but there were a lot of preventable (and in my opinion unacceptable), things that happened during my wedding. \r\r1. I got married under the Mayor Tree. The Science Center promised they would clean up before my wedding, but there was garbage under the chairs and around the ceremony area. \r\r2. The room where the groom and groomsmen used to get ready in was covered in sticky, gross liquid. If the guys hadn’t been careful, they could have easily ruined their clothes. \r\r3. The room the bridesmaids and I used to get ready didn’t have a place to hang any of the dresses. We just had to pile them up on the side. \r\r4. The staff were never available. When I tried to drop off my decorations, I waited for an hour because no one was picking up their phone. \r\rThe staff were nice, but they left me hanging time after time. Unless you love the location (which we did!) and/or can hire your own planner to make up for these stupid mistakes, I wouldn’t have your wedding here.

We were married by the lake and had our reception on the SunTrust Terrace. I had no idea they hosted weddings here but I am so glad I found out. Not only is the place beautiful, but the OSC staff was absolutely amazing!! They worked with me from the very start to the very end and handled everything flawlessly. I would highly recommend having any event here-very professional!!

I have always dreamed of an outdoor wedding, and surprisingly The Science Center provides gorgeous options for an outdoor wedding. Due to a random Florida rain shower our reception had to be moved from the Terrace (which has a gorgeous view of Downtown Orlando) to The Dino Digs room. Our coordinator (provided by The Science Center, this person helps you throughout your entire planning process!) knew how important the ceremony was to me & how much I wanted it under The Mayor Tree. She absolutely made sure that I got the ceremony of my dreams, even though rain made it obnoxious to set up. Our ceremony was flawless & our guests stayed dry since it stopped raining just in time! \rAlthough we got the ceremony of our dreams, the rain changed our reception plans and moved it indoors. I was definitely not excited to be dancing with dinosaurs, but with the AMAZING vendors & Science Center staff, they made our reception the most incredible looking space I have ever seen. Everything was beautiful & I honestly ended up falling in love with the dinosaurs, my guests are saying it was the most beautiful/unique wedding they have ever seen. \rI HIGHLY recommend booking your wedding with The Science Center. The staff truly cares about their couples & their number one goal is to ensure the couple is happy. I didn't feel an ounce of stress throughout the evening because I knew my wedding was in wonderful hands!

I could not have been happier with my choice for my ceremony and reception venue. From the very beginning Danielle was quick to respond and answered all of my questions. The staff at OSC coordinated with all of my vendors and made sure everything was ready to go on the day of my wedding. Kayla was our day of coordinator and she was amazing! She was very organized and had control over everything that was happening. I couldn't have asked for a better person to make sure my wedding happened without any problems. The museum was transformed into a beautiful wedding. I would recommend the Orlando Science Center as a wedding site to anyone.
