From the moment I arrived to the hotel till the day i was leavig everything was like a dream. The rooms at the hotel are big, clean, and have stunning views. The staff at the hotel is very friendly! My wedding was such a success. It included everything I wanted and it was so lovely to be married next to the ocean! Highly recommend to anyone who wants a beach wedding! Reviewed on 30-06-2020
Michelle Hernandez(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-08-2022 Debbie and her team did an exceptional job at helping us plan and coordinate my daughter and son in laws wedding. Her and Chef Carlo reassured me that it was going to be an exceptional and memorable event, and it sure was! As I watched the staff set up where the actual ceremony was to be conducted on the beach from window of the bride's room on the 7th floor, I received her call informing me that all the guests were enjoying the reception and assured me that no one complained of it being hot at all. (The fact that it was held on the Beach in Miami, was a bit concerning.) Needless to say, all the guests only had very good things to say about the food, the service, and the venue as a whole, (even 10 days later) many of whom said it was the best wedding they've ever attended. Thank you once again, Debbie and Chef Carlo for making this all happen effortlessly for us! Reviewed on 17-08-2022
sofia hernandez(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-08-2022 Overall, the venue was the most beautiful venue I could ask for. However, the organization and prepping of the wedding was awful. My tasting was cancelled twice, Melissa gave a lot of attitude, two days before my wedding our hotel rooms were messed up, Melissa would also say we still has money pending to be paid when it had been paid already. If you do an event here i’m sure it will be beautiful, I would suggest only speaking with Debbie. Debbie took care of us for the most part. This kind of unprofessionalism and lack of organization made me very nervous for my wedding. The food was amazing, Chef Carlos is truly the best! Reviewed on 07-08-2022
Natalia Bertok(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-05-2022 The Palm House is truly a beautiful venue and we are so happy that we had our wedding here. My husband and I are truly so grateful for Debbie, who brought our vision to life and made sure our wedding day was beautiful and everything we wanted. Melissa, who was our first point of contact throughout our planning was really quite challenging to converse with at times and we would encourage others to speak directly with Debbie as much as possible. Aside from some of the hiccups along the way and planning a wedding as a destination couple, the wedding day was a dream. Our guests loved the setup of everything, between the Little Palm and Big Palm, it was a lovely atmosphere. Our bartender and accompanying team did an amazing job throughout the whole night and made sure we were accommodated at all times. Our cake was delicate and modern, just how we wanted it and tasted pretty good too. Overall, Debbie and the staff at The Palm House treated us well and the venue itself speaks for its beauty. If you're looking for a boho, beach wedding, this is a wonderful choice! Reviewed on 31-05-2022
Christopher Swift(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-04-2022 My wife and I got married here a couple of weekends ago and the experience was so smooth. We were concerned with planning a destination wedding from another state, but Melissa took care of everything. she coordinated every single vendor, from the flowers to the decor to rentals to ceremony as well as catering and the bars. It was like we showed up on our wedding day and walked in to our dream night. My wife was in tears of joy and I was just happy that she was happy because she generally has high expectations! The venue is tropical, bohemian, breezy. We got lucky with beautiful weather . Highly recommend! Reviewed on 07-05-2022
Siena Meruelo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-05-2022 My husband and I loved this venue for the tropical bohemian vibes but ultimately were sold because of the way we were treated. No detail was spared. Melissa and Debbie were a great team, paying attention to all of our desires in decor, set up, ceremony, food selections, etc. The complimentary bridal suite was gorgeous and a nice perk most places don’t offer. Would definitely recommend 100 times over ! Reviewed on 05-05-2022
Wanetta Kirby(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-04-2022 My now husband and I just got married at the Palm House on Saturday April 30, 2022, and I have to say this experience was a nightmare from start to finish. If we had to do it all over again, we would've cancelled and went somewhere else that was more responsive. The only reason we stayed at the venue is because The Palm House is very pretty, and the atmosphere sold itself. We had a HARD time communicating with Melissa throughout this whole process and the nonchalant attitude. We made our initial agreement and down payment in July 2021. Our second payment was in October 2021. We had to reach out every single time to set up meetings with Melissa to talk about our wedding because she never reached out. The only time she reached out was to remind us about the payments for the wedding. Every time I would try to go over specific details about the wedding she would say “oh you have time” or “we have done this many times before you would be okay”. We told her many times we do not like to do things last minute and our wedding showed that things were planned last minute. We started on our decoration and food selection on February 22nd and our wedding was on April 30th. The only reason why we were able to start this coordination in February is because we set up the meeting. On February 25th I sent an email to Melissa stating that the wire transfer for our third installment did not go through and asked for the correct information. I got no response. I sent her the same email March 1st and still did not receive a response. On April 19th, Melissa finally responds asking for the final payment and that her records show that I never made the first two payments. Luckily, we keep our records and were able to prove that we paid and confirmed our final payment. On the day of the wedding, it was apparent that the things we asked for were ignored. Starting with the ceremony, we asked for half-moon shape for the chairs and that was not done. The chairs were set up like a church ceremony with rows. As for the reception, we asked many times for 2 long tables, and they gave us 8 short tables. I gave Debbie, whom is Melissa assistant, the seating arrangement for the day and they had our parents and bridal party at the exit next to the bar and DJ instead of sitting by us. They stated our guests were a “bit much” (I guess because our guests were moving their names which messed up their food placements) BUT our guests were moving their names to match the seating chart that was displayed at the entrance. They also stated our guests eating extra plates which was untrue. The one person that ate an extra plate was one of our guests who wife who did not come. He had every right to eat his wife’s plate. The last thing that was just ridiculous was our cake. Our guest thought we were going to Italy for our honeymoon because the cake was completely leaning and looked like the Tower of Pisa. Even our photographer and videographer were laughing at its stature. After our wedding we emailed Melissa and Debbie to tell them how unpleased we were, and Melissa just sent back an email stating she was sorry, appreciated the feedback and regret they fell short of our expectations. I really appreciated Debbie for stepping in halfway of this wedding (Feb 22, 2022) and trying her best to make our day special but they fell short of our expectations we have been telling them about from day one. Samantha Cabrera(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-10-2021 Just had my wedding at the venue, which is beautiful but the horrible customer service we got from Melissa made the experience unbearable. As a bride and my own planner, I had a lot of questions and ideas, but she seemed bothered, would take weeks to answer detailed emails with the least information. She often dismissed my small wedding and made it seem like she was doing me a favor. She threaten to cancel 3 weeks before and to do things with \"less love\" which showed the day off with several mistakes, completely different set up than what I had planned, and my own guests helping decorate. Melissa had left and dumped the task on lovely Deborah (who I had never met and didn't know anything about my plans) and she tried her best from then on. I have texts and emails of Melissa calling me ungrateful and a nightmare of a bride, complete lack of people skills and customer service. If you have lots of questions or expect the venue to value your investment, don't go here or work with her. I wish I had stood up for myself or lived in the city to feel comfortable changing venues. No one should be treated this way. Reviewed on 22-10-2021
