I'm so glad we found Parkway Banquets! We got so many compliments from guests on how beautiful the venue is. It was also affordable compared to so many venues we looked at. Additionally, my husband and I do not live in Illinois, so having them do all the decor & food took a huge weight off our shoulders during wedding planning. We truly couldn't imagine having had our wedding anywhere else. Thank you to Jerry & his staff!A thing that could be improved is communication with the owner. It was hard to get a hold of him, and we often had to send multiple emails/texts to get a response. Cathy did a wonderful job responding quickly on their FB page, however. One other thing is that we weren't aware the staffing fee would be so high until we saw the final invoice.Overall, a great experience with Parkway Banquets, and I highly recommend it!

Itâs a great place to have an event and depending on the package it includes on a lot of things. We only had two issues⊠1st was the fact we werenât told up front about the $2200 staff fee. We found out when we went to pay the rest of the amount due. 2nd was we did a buffet dinner and the staff was taking our guests plates while they were still eating, even when the staff was told someone just got up to get a drink theyâre still eating and even me as the bride went to the bathroom came back and my plate was gone.

Our wedding was absolutely wonderful and super low maintenance! Jerry and his team were able to make a perfect celebration for us, without us doing a ton of work (for a wedding). The price was by far the best around too! We did a Friday ceremony with the Ultimate Couples Fantasy Wedding Package. We chose Tammy and Dan as Jerry's for our Photographer and DJ, and would highly recommend both (both were part of Jerry's recommended vendors through the our package)! Parkway by the Lake was also fantastic about our group's food allergies, and any other accommodations that were needed. If you're looking to have a beautiful wedding by the lake this is definitely a place you need to check out!

Parkway Banquets in Ingleside IL was absolutely amazing! They took care of the food and the decorations and even most of the timing when it came to the big moments! The decorations were absolutely beautiful and the photo ops are amazing dont even get me started! They were perfect with handling our vision for the wedding and they literally brought everything to life. Jerry was wonderful and upfront with all of the charges and was a joy to talk to whenever we met up. But let me tell you about their secret (not so secret) weapon named Cathy. She was amazing and helped me plan my vision and was very attentive! She handled basically everything that was ever needed with decorations and she was so so so sweet! I love her truely shes the best! I highly recommend having a wedding here if your visions include a lake cause the sunset was literally like a chef kiss. We had about 50 people show up they accommodated for 66 and there was PLENTY of space for larger gatherings. I serious think ima plan for a babyshower here! I seriously could not have done anything without them! Also Olivia your decorating skills are amazing and everything was so so beautiful! Extremely affordable as well! I recommend this venue so so hard and all my family had an amazing time and said it was the most beautiful wedding they have every been to!

First words are WOW THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! My husband and I got married in October 2021 at Parkway Salon (sister venue) and we had such an amazing experience! Not only did we get a complimentary room rental for our wedding shower for booking our wedding with them, the centerpieces for the wedding were included, was not charged for up lighting, and cake was included! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, everything went smoothly. We couldnât have dreamed of anything better. All food came out in a timely manner. Vendors recommended were great! The staff was beyond excellent, friendly, responsive and wanted to make sure everything was perfect for us. Jerry, Cathy and Olivia are amazing! I had so many questions and each one was answered. The room was absolutely beautiful. The food was the best wedding food Iâve ever had and loved the buffet. We had numerous guests tell us the same. I could go on and on, but if you want a beautiful venue with amazing staff and reasonably priced packages, you cannot beat this. We couldnât recommend this place enough!!! Thank you to all the staff, you guys are the best!!đ

The food was delicious, and their list of recommended vendors could not have been better. All of our vendors were recommended by Jerry, and we were so happy! Parkway Banquets did an excellent job in hosting our wedding at the Ingleside location on July 17, 2021. We were a postponed wedding due to COVID, and Parkway handled that postponement with ease and with grace. Jerry, Kathy and the entire staff did an incredible job with helping us plan what WE wanted and were flexible with our questions and specific requests. They set up a beautiful ceremony space and reception area. The food was delicious, something that was shared with us by a number of our guests. Parkway Banquets did an excellent job in hosting our wedding at the Ingleside location on July 17, 2021. We were a postponed wedding due to COVID, and Parkway handled that postponement with ease and with grace. Jerry, Kathy and the entire staff did an incredible job with helping us plan what WE wanted and were flexible with our questions and specific requests. They set up a beautiful ceremony space and reception area. The food was delicious, something that was shared with us by a number of our guests. I can't say enough about how amazing this venue is. The view over the lake is wonderful, the staff is amazing and everything that you get for the price is by far the best deal around. All of our guest loved the food (so much food), venue and staff. We had the most amazing wedding reception. My husband and I got married on July 27th at Parkway by the Lake. From beginning to end, Jerry and the staff at Parkway were absolutely amazing! The packages they offer fit well within our budget and made the whole wedding planning process so simple and stress free for us. Everything is taken care of - from the photographer, DJ and bakery of our choice, to the centerpieces and linens - we could've just gotten dressed and shown up! That is what this experience was like. Cathy and Jerry were always available to assist us. Michelle was amazing on our wedding day. She calmed me (the bride) down, helped me relax, never left us with an empty glass, but most importantly - her positive attitude and character was so comforting. Everyone who talked with her loved her! The food is amazing!!! We did the buffet and got to take our leftovers home! I cannot say enough great things about how phenomenal everything was. When we went for our rehearsal, we noticed the tablecloths were the wrong color and the tables were numbered incorrectly. (we didn't do a simple 1-8 pattern). We addressed this with Jerry and the whole room was changed and correct in an hour! We couldn't believe how on top of things Jerry was. The preferred vendors that we chose from Jerry's package were outstanding! The photographer was kind, considerate and truly cared about being there for us. We asked a lot of her and she delivered every time! The DJ was fantastic!! The dance floor was never empty (except when we needed to get a drink!). We had two special things we wanted to do - one surprise speech for the Groom from my son and a video we made of loved ones who passed- and our DJ worked them both into our reception. We never felt like were inconveniencing anyone and everyone took our vision of our wedding to heart. I have told everyone that I know how amazing Parkway is. My husband and I both work full time, have 3 kids and we only have one day off together a week. So once we found Parkway, we were extremely excited and amazed at how stress free our wedding planning was going to be. They did not disappoint! I have not one negative thing to say about the introduction, the process, the planning or the final result. My husband and I got married at Parkway banquets on July 5, 2019. We had a National Park themed wedding using the ultimate fantasy packaged offered. The package included everything for our wedding (aside of our attire and any little personal touches you may want). Even though the DJ, cake, and photographer were included we still got to choose between a decent selection of each, and more importantly we still got to taste all of the vendorâs delicious wedding cakes! Jerry and Cathy were ALWAYS there when I need reassurance on an idea or help with something in general. Cathy was the absolute biggest help (besides my mom and sister!) during the whole year long planning process. She ensured that everything I had envisioned was done and done better at than I could have dreamed. The ceremony space was beautiful and the guidance offered by Jerry to our first time officiant was very helpful. Michelle (the bar tender) always made sure that Chris and Iâs glasses were full and treated us like royalty the entire evening. The food, down to the garlic bread, was all fantastic and we were very grateful for leftovers we were sent home with! Jerry and Cathy were ALWAYS there when I need reassurance on an idea or help with something in general. Cathy was the absolute biggest help (besides my mom and sister!) during the whole year long planning process. She ensured that everything I had envisioned was done and done better at than I could have dreamed. The ceremony space was beautiful and the guidance offered by Jerry to our first time officiant was very helpful. Michelle (the bar tender) always made sure that Chris and Iâs glasses were full and treated us like royalty the entire evening. The food, down to the garlic bread, was all fantastic and we were very grateful for leftovers we were sent home with! All in all I donât think we could have found a more perfect place for our wedding, and I seriously donât think a better job could have been done anywhere else.Thank you everyone (especially Cathy!) for making our wedding dream come true â€ïžâ€ïž

Parkway had the best prices and the best reviews re: food, helpful friendly owner/staff, organization skills, flexibility, etc. Jerry Ming, the owner was a dream to work with. He thought of everything. He connected us with the best DJ, cake maker, and photographer. I (mom) worried more than bride (laid back) & he assured everything would be perfect and it was. Didnât have to make table or venue decor-just had to pick out from their numerous ideas; they have stock rooms of supplies. Saved $. We selected buffet. Everyone commented on how delicious the food was, the meats were amazing! All were shocked at variety, # of choices, dessert table, appetizers, omg so much food! I couldnât believe they wrapped up leftovers and sent them home. We fed so many guests in our home the days following wedding! Accommodated last minute crisisâs, headcount changes, etc. the parkway salon is gorgeous. Had ceremony and reception both held there. It was so beautiful. Dance floor huge. Plenty of room. Bridal ready room perfecto! All of the staff catered to our guests. Everyone gave positive feedback as they hugged me before leaving. My oldest daughters wedding reception was elsewhere in crystal lake. They were 5 stars. Parkway is 10 stars. They went above and beyond for every thing.

The bartender (I think her name was Michelle) made sure my husband and I were taken care of to the fullest. She came to our table and checked on us several times throughout the night. My parents had their 25th anniversary party there a few years ago and I remember the event being just as wonderful. The staff of Parkway made planning this wedding a breeze. The choices were outstanding for decorations, photography, music and food. We live out of the area and had no difficulty with getting answers to our questions. We felt right at home in this beautiful venue. They do not play when it comes to make your dreams come true. Jerry is really awesome and he will provide you with everything you need!! Though he had many centerpiece options, we chose to bring our own decorations. Him and his staff were gracious enough to set it up exactly as we requested (at no extra cost!). Parkway provides outstanding banquet services. I am President of the Gurnee Lions Club. We have held our annual 4G's dinner at Parkway for at least 7 years now. This is saying something since the host club (which changes each year) gets to choose the venue. Parkway has always had everything in perfect order, great service and fantastic food. Staff and management are always very easy to deal with, attentive and special arrangements have never been a problem. Highly recommended.

We had our wedding here 10/14/16 - it was the best day of our lives! Jerry and his staff make everything run so smoothly that you do not have to worry about a thing the day of your wedding! Anytime I had a question about anything Jerry was always there to answer my questions. The food was AMAZING!!! That is all I am hearing about from my guest!! They loved how it wasn't plan ole wedding food, it was good food that they actually finished their plates! My sister got married at this location 7 years ago and the experience we had then is what made us go back!

Where do I even begin my raving review of this place?\r\rWe hosted our wedding at Parkway in 06/2015. It was absolutely perfect. Every step of the way, Jerry held our hand, pushed us to get what we wanted, and walked us through our day of flawlessly. \r\rFrom the first time meeting Jerry and taking a tour of Parkway, we were in love. We loved the view of the lake, the outdoor option, and that the venue literally includes EVERYTHING you need. It was by far the most reasonably priced venue for our budget. \r\rWhen we chose to sign a contract with Jerry, he was surprisingly open to negotiating terms, and getting us the best bang for our buck, and all the amenities that we needed. He is thorough, detail oriented, and focused on helping couples get what they want. he was complimentary and nice the whole process. Even when we came up for his bridal show (obviously he was VERY busy) he took the time out to talk to my now husband and I and our parents about the big day! You cannot get better customer service than that.\r\rI communicated with Jerry about the final details of the week before the wedding. It was in his hands, and I fully trusted him and his staff to create my dream venue. When I walked into the venue the day before the wedding for the rehearsal, I cried (I am teary eyed thinking of it!). His staff did an amazing job setting the tables, making the arch for our ceremony, the centerpieces and chair set up was perfect. \r\rThe day of could not have gone better. Jerry was an amazing coordinator throughout the entire day. He was making sure we stayed on schedule, that his staff was prepared for any/all mishaps, and he spoke some of the kindest words to our guests. Despite a mishap with our DJ (which was completely our DJ's fault), Jerry and his staff made our day truly special. We hadn't even seen the surrounding area with foliage until the day of the wedding, and it was beautiful!\r\rI cannot say it enough, this place was organized, wonderful, efficient, communicative, detail oriented, and special. \r\rThank you so much, Jerry and staff, we will for sure be using your space again! Our day was exactly what we pictured, if not, more. Our guests are still talking about the wedding even after 3 months. Jerry basically ran the show at my wedding. I could not imagine how things would have gone if he weren't there. Everything was so beautiful and perfect, I could not have been happier. Jerry is very organized and knows exactly what needs to be done and when. I learned very quickly that it is so much easier to put things into his hands and trust him with it and it WILL be amazing. I truthfully believe that if I had my wedding anywhere else, it just would not have gone as smoothly as Jerry made it go. I don't think I could ever really thank him enough.

Jerry basically ran the show at my wedding. I could not imagine how things would have gone if he weren't there. Everything was so beautiful and perfect, I could not have been happier. Jerry is very organized and knows exactly what needs to be done and when. I learned very quickly that it is so much easier to put things into his hands and trust him with it and it WILL be amazing. I truthfully believe that if I had my wedding anywhere else, it just would not have gone as smoothly as Jerry made it go. I don't think I could ever really thank him enough.

My son Jude married the love of his life, beautiful Ericas, on June 21st, 2015\rThe ceremony and reception were both at Parkway Banquets! The ceremonial tent was festive and beautifully decorated! \rThe reception hall was delightfully decorated - the chairs, napkins & table décor was beautiful with the matching light accents and the beautiful local made for unbelievably gorgeous photos!!\rAll the attention to detail made for such a special day!! The food was delicious!! The photo booth was great fun!! And the bartender knew I was the mother of the groom and always fast with a drink and a smile!!\rJerry and staff attended to every minute detail and all we had to do was enjoy ourselves! \rIt is a beautiful venue, on a lovely lake, with every imaginable amenity!! Of course, Erica was a mist beautiful bride; and the allure of Parkside allowed her to glow on our best day ever!!!\r

I do not have enough GOOD things to say about Jerry and Parkway Banquets! He made the whole experience of planning our wedding so easy and with such little stress. My husband and I are very busy and had just 7 months to plan our wedding. Jerry provided excellent Bridal shows with all aspects of the wedding needs at our disposal to review and decide upon. The packages that he provided were cost effective and full of options and choices. He was ALWAYS available to answer our questions and provide any kind of insight we needed to make our decision making smooth and right and well, perfect! Simply one of the BEST days of our lives and so pleased that we got to spend it with Jerry and his crew! Parkway Banquets has outstanding food, service and goes above and beyond for all of their clients. I am a mother of three daughters and have researched all facilities around and none are even close to what you receive from Parkway. Jerry and his staff could not have been kinder or more helpful.

Our wedding will never be forgotten by friends or family because of Parkway Banquets. Besides the fact that they made every step of planning extremely easy and convenient, all of our guests raved about the food! My husband and I lived an hour from the venue, but Jerry always made communication open and simple. I still can not believe all the amazing things we had/did at our wedding for such a great cost! I now recommend Parkway to all of my friends who are recently engaged.

Parkway catered our graduation party. The help in planning was great. Them made the selection process easy. Their pricing was great. They offered a lot of options so we didn't have to spend an arm and a leg. I will use them again.

As the father of the bride, I wanted the night to be special. We had the wedding in our yard, but came to Parkway for the reception. They covered everything. The location was right on the lake, the decorations were special (orchids in vases with floating candles), the food was delicious, the dessert table was beautiful. The service was outstanding and any questions that came up, they handled immediately. We stayed until the last moment. I would recommend Jerry and his staff to anyone wanting excellence.

Jerry Ming (Owner) I was raised in a small town in Wisconsin. At a very young age, I learned it's super important to treat others the way you want to be treated. If you do your very best to be honest, treat guests with courtesy & respect, and LISTEN to what they want, you will be successful. I've owned Parkway for almost 30 years. I consider it an honor to host each & every wedding we have. More about me?
