Having our wedding at The Pavilion was the best decision we made!VENUEThe venue itself is beautiful. We had our wedding during the day (2pm) and the pavilion and the beach were lovely. We had the DJ next to the pavilion our guests could still dance their hearts out while keeping the pavilion itself quiet enough to enjoy table conversation as well. Our guests loved taking photos with one another dressed up on the boardwalk and beach.It has a large parking area and is easy to navigate to using GPS. It is pretty close to the LIRR as well for guests that came in from the city.FOOD & DRINKSThe food is excellent and the portions great (even by LI standards). We attended the food tasting and loved everything there and at our wedding. Personally, my favorite was the sushi and the short ribs with mashed potatoes. They offer two dining styles, traditional and \"lounge\" style. We chose the lounge style and guests loved it. It is more casual and guests are able to pick what they want (no more wasted salads!).STAFF A+++The staff are simply incredible. Emily S. was there for us every step of the way. From our initial appointment to the day of our wedding. She was extremely kind hearted, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Communication over phone, email and text were all seamless. She even provided us with a chuppah, card box, and flip flop signs to borrow that they had leftover from previous weddings. It saved us money and was very convenient. The day of staff were AMAZING. It suddenly began pouring during our first look and the day of staff came running with umbrellas to covers the party and were patient and helpful getting our grandpa out of the rain. Josh the maitre de was very friendly, upbeat, and helpful. Sabrina the bridal attendant was sweet and our guests also loved her.VALUEWe used the wedding package and it was the single best decision we have ever made as a couple. Every single one of the preferred vendors was excellent. The coordination between them and the venue was seamless and saved us so much time and energy. Everything you need for a beautiful wedding is included in the package and all of the preferred vendors are top notch. We ended up being UNDER budget initially because the package is so fairly priced. We were able to afford some upgrades (live sushi bar and extra photographer) that made our day even more special.THANK YOU EMILY AND THE PAVILION!

From the moment we first visited the venue to the day of our wedding, the entire journey was seamless, thanks to the exceptional staff and the enchanting atmosphere they provided. Tarek went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine warmth exhibited by the staff (especially the bridal assistant Sabrina) made us feel not just like clients, but like cherished friends. I cannot express enough gratitude to the entire team.Our wedding day was nothing short of magical.

We got married in November 2023 and have only great things to say about Tarek and his team. Leading up to the wedding, Tarek was very responsive and accommodating. From changing decor of the venue to specific menu requests, Tarek never said no and went above and beyond to make the day perfect. On the day of the wedding, Carl and Emily made sure the day went smoothly and anticipated what we needed every step of the way. The whole team worked seamlessly with our vendors (who were recommended by the venue) which helped the flow and organization of the day. The venue itself was beautiful! We were worried that November may not allow us to take full advantage of the beachfront venue, but our guests had a great time taking photos by the beach and enjoying the views. We added heaters to the tent and the temperature was perfect. Having the dance floor in the tent was really unique and left plenty of room for dancing. We received so many compliments about the food! From cocktail hour through dinner, people raved about the food options. We even had several guests say it was the best food they’ve had at a wedding. Many guests from Long Island were surprised that they had never heard of a wedding at the Pavilion before and were pleasantly surprised how nice it was. We would 100% recommend the venue (and Tarek + team) to other future brides/grooms.

This venue and the staff is amazing! Tarek was fantastic and answered any questions I had right away. The food was amazing I was so happy they made us to go boxes! Carl was amazing as well and was able to help with anything myself or my husband needed! I would recommend having your event here!

Working with Tarek before the wedding was a dream. He’s easy going, laid back and extremely helpful getting all the details down. Day of Josh, Sabrina and the rest of the staff handled everything with grace, ease and helped to create the best day of our lives. We just had our wedding at The Pavilion on Saturday 10/7/23. It was beyond amazing, between the staff, the food and the flexibility, we had the most wonderful time!We fell in love with the room as soon as we walked in when we booked in July 2022, with the beautiful views of the ocean, the option for outdoor ceremony and the reputation of Lessing's for having amazing staff and food. We chose the vendor package as it had highly recommended vendors who have all worked together before with the staff at The Pavilion, and that made the day run so smoothly!Tarek we met on day one and from there on he has been so accommodating and easy to work with. He answered so many of my emails and questions in quick timing and was always helpful with information. The days leading up to the wedding he was frequently available for me to contact with any last minute concerns. Day of we had to make a decision for the weather and we had until 3pm (530 ceremony) to decide about having the ceremony indoors. I was so happy to have this option as my original plan was for outdoors but the wind/rain kept us inside. Let me tell you though the staff made the room turn around so quick and we had the most beautiful wedding indoors with the background of the beach behind us through the gorgeous windows. We were easily able to fit the 135 guests indoors for ceremony, then under the tent for cocktail and then back inside for dinner and dancing! Plenty of room!Carl was our maitre d and was so wonderful and constantly checking in on us and keeping us all together and on time! We had a day of coordinator and it seems they all worked well together with Carl and Sabrina. He was so accommodating when I asked if we could do family photos inside during cocktail hour before the room was finished being turned around. I was so grateful for that since we couldn't do them outside. Dinner service was great and timely, everyone raved about the food (Lessing's has amazing food!!) and the cake cutting was awesome and served quickly (and didn't interrupt the dance party!)Sabrina was my bridal attendant and she was fabulous! Always making sure I, my husband and my bridal party were feeling good. She was so on top of everything, even helping bustle my dress more than once! We always had food and drinks (from Carl too!) and she made sure we took some food and cake home at the end of the night. She kept the bridal suite neat and even steamed my dress before we started! It was wonderful and both her and Carl were very on top of everything, it put a lot of my anxiety at ease. All of the staff was professional and helpful, holding umbrellas as we went out for first look and keeping the room looking beautiful. The guests raved about the bar service, cocktail hour and dinner. If you want a beautiful venue that has a perfect rain back up plan and still looks amazing (though getting married on the beach was the goal!) you should choose this venue. Tarek and the pavilion staff were perfection for our wedding day. Tarek (one of the major reasons we went with this venue) was responsive, informative, and went the extra mile to ensure we had no reservations and were comfortable with what to expect on the day: including Dave the magician who was a huge hit. The venue has multiple options for weather accommodations. Several guests complimented the food and the bar service which was quick and efficient. The vendors we used were familiar with the venue and very professional. Would have another event here in a heart beat.

Tarek and the pavilion staff were perfection for our wedding day. Tarek (one of the major reasons we went with this venue) was responsive, informative, and went the extra mile to ensure we had no reservations and were comfortable with what to expect on the day: including Dave the magician who was a huge hit. There are no words!! My husband and I will never be able to say enough to express our gratitude to Tarek and his entire team at the Pavilion. The venue itself is gorgeous (we knew immediately upon touring that we wanted to book it), but through this amazing experience I have learned that the people are even more important than the place. Our wedding planning process was exceptionally smooth and painless - for months, I was no where near as stress as some friends/family expected me to be, all thanks to Tarek’s expertise and guidance! His easygoing nature yet utmost professionalism gave us total confidence in him from the get-go, and he was always in our corner to offer support whenever we needed it. On the day-off, I was calmer than ever, knowing we were in the best possible hands! Everything was executed in the most beautiful and perfect way, and we couldn’t stop gushing at the end of the night about how it went off without a single hitch. Josh (our maitre d) and Sabrina (the bridal attendant) took such good care of us and led us seamlessly through the days events in an organized but still comforting fashion. The rest of the staff was awesome and attentive, too - not only to us, but to our guests as well, several of whom said as much themselves. The entire night, we received additional compliments on the location, food, DJ (Tarek’s recommendation), hospitality, etc. Above all, however, we were thrilled with how it turned out. It was truly the wedding of our dreams and it could not have happened without the folks at the Pavilion! They are absolute pros, running a well-oiled machine of an operation, and setting the stage for the most magical moments. The beautiful work they do makes a profound difference in the lives of their customers, and we are so fortunate to be able to look back on our wedding day with nothing but joy and appreciation!

I cannot get over how amazing and beautiful our wedding was. Tarek was seriously the best with helping us coordinate everything. He was super responsive and answered any questions we had throughout the process. He assured us everything would be perfect and he exceeded our expectations. He accommodated all of our needs and wants and we seriously could not have asked for anyone better. Tarek is the best! There are truly no regrets. On the day of, Sabrina and Josh were so beyond incredible. They were very attentive and personable. They made sure we were comfortable and checked on us constantly to make sure we were okay or if we needed anything. I could not have imagined better people to assist us on our big day!!! We were getting told my multiple guests that it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever been to and that the staff was beyond. We had 155 guests attend and it was the perfect size venue and perfect layout. The food was delicious and our guests were most certainly not left with being hungry. The bar service was also phenomenal. Everything about this was perfect and I would not change a single thing. Thank you so much to Tarek, Sabrina and Josh!

Wow - where do we even begin? Tarek and his team (Josh, our maître d’, Sabrina, our bridal attendant, the Chef, and the entire wait staff) were true professionals. Absolutely nothing was overlooked from the planning process to the day of, and everything went off without a hitch and far surpassed our expectations! The venue is absolutely stunning. Not only do you have the pavilion itself, but also two large tents which are attached. We used the tent for the cocktail hour and it was absolutely gorgeous. The pavilion is a beautiful facility, from the hanging lights to the full window view of the LI sound. The food was exceptional! And the drinks were strong! The Chef was extremely accommodating and was more than happy to accommodate our requests for gluten free items (a few of my family and friends have Celiac disease and can’t eat gluten and none of them got sick after, so you know they did it right!). We also were able to add a vegan option which got RAVE reviews! Sabrina ensured that we were able to try all of our appetizers and Josh made sure we had the chance to try each item on our dinner menu - they went above and beyond!Tarek is an exceptional manager. He is extremely kind and fantastic at what he does. Wow - where do we even begin? Tarek and his team (Josh, our maître d’, Sabrina, our bridal attendant, the Chef, and the entire wait staff) were true professionals. Absolutely nothing was overlooked from the planning process to the day of, and everything went off without a hitch and far surpassed our expectations! The venue is absolutely stunning. Not only do you have the pavilion itself, but also two large tents which are attached. We used the tent for the cocktail hour and it was absolutely gorgeous. The pavilion is a beautiful facility, from the hanging lights to the full window view of the LI sound. The food was exceptional! And the drinks were strong! The Chef was extremely accommodating and was more than happy to accommodate our requests for gluten free items (a few of my family and friends have Celiac disease and can’t eat gluten and none of them got sick after, so you know they did it right!). We also were able to add a vegan option which got RAVE reviews! Sabrina ensured that we were able to try all of our appetizers and Josh made sure we had the chance to try each item on our dinner menu - they went above and beyond!Tarek is an exceptional manager. He is extremely kind and fantastic at what he does. When I was a little girl, I always dreamt of getting married on the beach and having my reception under a tent. So after my fiancé (now husband) and I began searching for venues and we visited the pavilion, we knew that this was it--This is where we want to have it. Tarek greeted us with a welcoming smile and allowed us to walk around and then sat with us to discuss the details of the wedding package--which btw, most outdoors/tented venues do not offer.The vendors (floral, Bakery & photography) were all extremely professional and exceptionally talented. They do their jobs with the genuine intent to make the Bride and groom happy.. and I mean this. I don't think I've ever loved flowers the way I did on my wedding day. The cake was crafted so beautifully and it tasted amazing! I'm drooling just thinking about it haha. And the photographer we chose was so cool! He was laid back and made us feel super comfortable--legit broke us out from being timid and awkward lol. After our magical night was over, we began analyzing everything and every moment of the day. We couldn't think of one event or thing that upset us. Tarek--and I truly believe this, does his job and works with top notch vendors because he cares. He isn't out for the money. He wants it to be the best day of your life. He listened to all our requests and paid attention to every little detail we wanted and executed it to the best of his ability. He never gave us an attitude or made us feel like we were being annoying. It was all positive energy, all positive vibes! His staff on the day of our wedding, including the maitre d' were extremely friendly, organized, and super professional. They made sure everything was going according to the Timeline. It was flawless.I just want to add one last comment because I feel like she deserves this. My bridal attendant Sabrina was indeed my bestfriend. Not only was she so good at calming me down before the ceremony, but anytime I needed her, like telepathy she was right there making sure I had everything I needed. She constantly checked up on me, brought me drinks, laughed with me, but most importantly--knowing and understanding how exhausted she probably was-- she didn't stop smiling! I had the wedding of my dreams at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow. My fiancé and I got engaged Feb 2023 and were married less than two weeks ago in July 30, 2023. Emily was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She helped us organize our entire wedding in less than six months with such grace and professionalism. My fiancé and I took advantage of the Lessing's Wedding Package, which made our lives so much easier. The associated DJ, bakery, limousine company, and florist we used were all spectacular and wonderful to work with (we had already booked our own photographer). The food and service were top-notch. The venue itself is simple and beautiful, so we were able to really make it our own. The ceremony space inside was everything I could have dreamed of and our decision to have dancing in the separate tent outside was perfect for our 160 guests. The natural beauty of the surrounding area made for a stunning backdrop for our photos. I could not have been happier with every aspect of the wedding. Everyone from the bridal attendant to the maitre'd to the rest of the staff were warm, inviting, and organized. The day ran so smoothly and I was able to sincerely enjoy my wedding without a single worry. I'd recommend this venue to anyone--the staff truly helps you create your dream wedding.

From the first meeting to the day of, we were so pleased with the knowledge, support, professionalism, and kindness of everyone involved with planning. We had an Indian wedding on the beach, which is something I have always dreamed of. I could not have asked for a more beautiful ceremony! The details this venue provided were immaculate. Our daughter and fiancé wanted to have a wedding on the beach and a continuous cocktail party as opposed to a sit down dinner. This was a foreign concept to me but I wanted her to have the wedding of her dreams. While perusing the Lessing website, a company I know produces high quality venues, I came across The Pavillon at Sunken Meadow and a true partnership began. The venue is overseen by Tarek Mostafa who was open to customizing our party to help attain my daughter’s vision and put us at ease that everything would be perfect….and it was. The stations were plentiful and delicious. The venue provides three separate areas where our guest could seamlessly go from an always active dance tent, to a main area to enjoy your meal and a third to just chill playing Jenga, corn hole and enjoying the Photo Booth. The boardwalk added extra space for mingling and hanging out on a beautiful night. The added bonus was that they were married on July 1st and we enjoyed fireworks from different towns across the Sound. The staff was terrific, attentive and always making sure that stations were replenished as soon as they were finished. A special shout-out to Josh and Kelpy for keeping everything runny smoothly and to Natalie, who attended to all our Bride’s needs.If you’re thinking of a beachy vibe but also want some traditional wedding touches, take a look at the Pavillon, we couldn’t have been happier.

Recently we had my daughter’s wedding party at The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow Park, June 2023. General Manager Tarek Mostafa ensured that every detail was covered before the event and that each of those details were executed precisely and professionally during the entire evening. Absolutely amazing, beautiful and unique venue. From the beginning, Tarek was so chill yet professional and helpful. Everyone on the team there did an incredible and meticulous job. They deserved every penny. We had 185 guests and did our ceremony on the boardwalk which I highly recommend. Beautiful background with the landscape and the water, without having the guests walk in the sand. The venue itself is continuously being updated and it is absolutely gorgeous with string lights and has a beautiful rustic feel. We also had an outstanding sunset that all of our guests loved. The best thing about this venue is that it has something for everyone. We don’t have a huge dancing group, so those who wanted to dance were under the main tent dancing, those who wanted to sit and chat were inside at their tables, and those who just wanted to chill were out and about walking around or playing games in the small tent. Everyone RAVED about the venue as well as the food. We did a buffet and had SO much food, non-stop. Again, highly recommend this option.

We recently had our wedding at the Pavillion on 4/23/23. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful! I primarily worked with Emily to plan out all the details and she is fantastic. Then came our wedding day. I will say the venue should NOT be booking parties prior to a wedding unless they have enough time to get it turned over prior to the arrival of bridal party. There were guests leaving from the previous party and NOTHING was set up for our arrival in the bridal suite, I had to walk across a floor that was being mopped in my wedding gown to get to my first look photos. Not ideal. The chaos of the staff setting up crossed over to the bridal party. Everything was late because they were trying to get it together. The beach was not completely set with the runner, they finished it while my guests were seated for 40 minutes!! There was supposed to be refreshments out for my guests on arrival, which were not set up. I was very particular about my long table arrangement and communicated,-I just want my guests to be comfortable and not on top of each other- and I was told they would do what they had to in order to make that happen. In the chaos of the staff setting up that didn’t happen. My guests were on each others laps. The mouthy waitress with glasses telling my guests to “blame the bride” for the seating arrangements (which should have been avoided with common sense and prior communication that I didn’t want them on top of each other!!) . Also, talk about people in the kitchen not to their guests. One of my cakes was dropped and totally damaged by the staff. One of the menu options we chose was not at all what they served. If you go to a restaurant and order something off the menu and it comes out wrong you would send it back. Tarek knew nothing about the event plan because I’ve never met with him. He’s trying to send the bridal party out according to a “homework” list I was given to list our bridal party: it’s not a guide people. Now, I have to step in and delegate. Why am I dealing with it while I’m about to walk down the aisle.? I as the bride, just wanted to show up and everything be done and beautiful thanks to all my detailed planning over the course of a year. I wasn’t super happy. If your planning it with Emily she should be the maitre d. If it’s Tarek then it should be him. Emily was my bridal attendant that day along with Sabrina whom, she was training. Sabrina was fabulous!! Very grateful for her hard work! If Emily was running the show for me it would have gone way smoother with less chaos . The rest of the wait staff was very accommodating and worked very hard to keep our guests happy( with the exception of that one mouthy /rude waitress) the food was excellent! The drinks were excellent! I recommend the venue but I would definitely make sure there isn’t another party booked prior to your wedding!! There wasn’t one when we booked our date which was a big reason we went with the venue. Our arrival time to the venue was at 230 and they knew that for months. Then up until the week of the wedding I was planning on going to set up the room the way I wanted it on Saturday afternoon. The week of the wedding is when I was told I had to drop it and leave it in their hands and that they had a party until 230 and we would probably be passing the guests from the one before. Seriously, WHAT THE F@&$?!? That’s bad business. When you rush you don’t pay as much attention to details that people want. It obviously means something to them if they are asking for it.

I would definitely recommend the Pavilion! We got married in November 2022 and the process leading up to the wedding was stress- free. Perfect venue for 85 guests. Tarek was AMAZING! Every question/ concern he answered or solved. He even gave great advice and suggestions when it can to decorations and theme ideas. Everyone was very accommodating. Day of the wedding there was a storm, obviously no fault to anyone. Even though the staff was great, they seemed to be a little overwhelmed/ unprepared for the rain. Our audio guestbook was unplugged for sometime so when we received it back, we only had about 18 messages on there. Our favors were never put out for our guests to take. Also, there were some issues with the bartender serving our guests throughout the night. Even with the rain and few mishaps, our night was amazing and we are so thankful to everyone that made our night special. ❤️

I will start by saying how helpful Tarek was in planning the wedding, and how patient he was as I was working full time, moving into my home and raising my son. He worked around our schedule and was there to answer any question we needed. Dave was incredible as well, my now husband and I had a full drink in our hand the entire night, and his energy was as extremely fun and vibrant, keeping any nerves at ease. Maureen and Emily were a dream to deal with, I really can’t say enough positive things about these staff. They really made our day as stress free and memorable as possible. My father and mother were so pleased as well, and the staff worked around my parents’ hectic schedules. We would recommend anyone and everyone to this venue and to this specific crew as a team, as they made everything easy and seamless for us from start to finish. If you are considering Lessing's Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, look no farther. My now-husband and I had our wedding at the Pavilion on 10/21/22. Let me tell you that this place is magical, incredible, and wonderful in so many ways. Our wedding was truly the dream I hoped it would be and more!!This was the first venue that came up on my search, and after our first site visit and meeting with Tarek, the General Manager, I knew the Pavilion was the perfect place for our wedding, without even looking at other venues. Tarek was accommodating, easy and fun to work with, and incredibly knowledgeable. He helped make the planning process effortless and stress free, as I was planning my whole wedding remotely from Arizona. The package deal made planning so easy. What's great about it is that the package includes all of your main wedding needs, with some choices - for example there are three DJ companies to select from. The vendors we chose through the package were all phenomenal. The day of the wedding was flawless. The staff was so friendly, kind, and professional. The Maitre D' Dave, his captain Helen, and my bridal attendant Maureen were incredible. Maureen was there making sure not only my needs were attended to, but also everyone in my wedding party. Dave and Helen made sure all the details in our wedding were taken care of before I could even think to ask about them, and were amazing with our guests!Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them. There is truly nothing that would have made my wedding more perfect. I am blown away by the care Pavilion staff have towards making sure each wedding is as perfect as your vision. 10/10 would do it all over again without changing a thing!

The food was outstanding (we have chefs in the family — they concurred!), the staff was flawless (thank you Tarek, Dave, Helen, Maureen and everyone), and the place is so lovely. I don’t remember there being a ton of them and they were So quick, got food out quick and my family is all raving that they never had an empty glass. When I was looking it said there was no bathrooms, but let’s update that- there are brand new beautiful bathrooms right on site. We had our DJ under one tent, dinner inside, and jenga, connect 4, and cornhole under another tent and everybody loved that there was something for everyone to do! Overall 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a venue that doesn’t give catering hall vibes, that is stunning and on the water, and for a more laid back couple. We also had our ceremony on the beach in the middle of October and had the most beautiful day! I didn’t know what was supposed to be happening and when it was supposed to be happening in the first place which is why you pick a place you trust, do what they tell you to do, and you’ll be a guest at your own wedding and absolutely blown away!

Where do I begin? Getting married is a huge moment. We saw the venue on one of the walks we had at the beach. The place had the most beautiful energy you can think of. Some halls can feel too commercial.. this felt like a destination wedding. Tourek picked up our call and his calmness helped us make the decision on selecting this venue. So many options for us to choose from. The food was divine. I could not believe the options we had to choose from.. The staff was soo accommodating and kind. I hugged almost all of them on the way out.. I wold defiantly recommend this venue for so many reasons .. but Im sure once you walk in and feel what we felt you will select them based on the feeling..

Where do I begin? Getting married is a huge moment. We saw the venue on one of the walks we had at the beach. The place had the most beautiful energy you can think of. Some halls can feel too commercial.. this felt like a destination wedding. Tourek picked up our call and his calmness helped us make the decision on selecting this venue. So many options for us to choose from. The food was divine. I could not believe the options we had to choose from.. The staff was soo accommodating and kind. I hugged almost all of them on the way out.. I wold defiantly recommend this venue for so many reasons .. but Im sure once you walk in and feel what we felt you will select them based on the feeling..

We were recently married (9/18) at the Sunken Meadow Pavilion and I can't say enough good things about it. We were looking for a specific day and got all we asked for and more. The atmosphere was amazing, our guests were free to take a romantic walk on the beach, dance the night away, lounge under a tent with a drink and cigar, all while having a beautiful back drop! The food was amazing! Loved the options in the lounge menu. Tarek worked with us every step of the way. Out bridal attendant Maureen was fantastic!!! Did so much more than she had to even dance with the groom's mom who is in a wheelchair while being announced. We received so many compliments from our guests, some even saying that was the best wedding ever. Many of them enjoyed the freedom my husband and I were going for and Tarek and Sunken Meadow executed our vision flawlessly.

I had my wedding on 8/21/22 at the Sunken Meadow Pavilion since I originally wanted a beachfront wedding and they did not disappoint -- the staff was well organized, extremely experienced and even though I had more questions and nerves than I cared to admit they were super professional and kind in assuaging all my fears and communicating the entire itinerary so that there were no lapses or points of confusion at any one time. Truly the best night I could have asked for.

I came across the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow because originally I wanted a destination wedding, but my mom and I decided on a smaller wedding and we came to look at the Pavilion because it still had the beach atmosphere I desired.From the start to the finish Tarek made this day so special and meaningful. We developed such a professional, kind, friendship with Tarek and the employees at the Pavilion through the corse of the year planning the wedding and going to events throughout the year at the Pavilion to see the vibe, what they offer and the help from the employees.I honestly never ever leave reviews, but I had to go out of my way to write one because this was such a magical place and atmosphere to get married at. This venue leads with such organization, immediate response to questions and an overall inviting warm vibe wanting to celebrate such a beautiful milestone in the bride and grooms life.To top every amazing service offered and given, the food was outstanding. Wedding food is usually eh okay, but my party literally went out of their way to come up to me and rave about the food. I come from a big Italian family, several involved with the food industry, so the quality of food is very noticed and I could not be more pleased with the delicious food.Also my bridal attendant Alexis was absolutely amazing. Such a genuinely sweet girl who went out of her way, whether I asked or not, to make sure I had drinks, food, I was happy, needed assistance with anything, etc..I will never forget my big day and thank you to the workers and staff, and the venue, for making my wedding day a fairytale. You will always be in my heart!

We knew being a Lessing's venue we would be in good hands (and VERY well fed), but the staff went above and BEYOND. Tarek was truly wonderful to work with and kept us organized while still being so laid back. He helped make wedding planning seamless and stress free and was overly accommodating for every request we had (we brought in a 7ft boat to fill with beers). Maureen our matre de was spectacular and Lexi our bridal attendant seemed to pop up at JUST the right moments to keep the night running smoothly.The amount of genuine compliments we received from family and friends was overwhelming and the venue delivered on everything we were looking for (and most importantly not looking for).Do not sleep on this venue

We did not want a traditional catering hall venue, however we still wanted our guests to have the luxuries. This venue was PERFECT for us.Our guests haven't stopped telling us how incredible the location, food & service was. Without a doubt, I would book my wedding all over again with the team at the Pavilion.

Recently had an amazing experience hosting our wedding with Lessing's at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow in July of 2022. We had initially cancelled our first wedding reception with another venue due to COVID back in 2020 and so it was really nice to finally get to finally have the experience. The setting was overlooking the beach and ocean through the beautiful windows of the venue throughout the sunset and evening. We did a vows renewal ceremony on the sand (since we still got officially married on Zoom back in 2020), followed by cocktail hour on the sprawling private boardwalk area for our event that had the flexibility for guests to hang out in the tented portion or outside of it. The venue provided excellent food, drinks and service through the cocktail hour and reception. We had games set up like cornhole, giant jenga, and ringtoss on the outskirts for people to enjoy. During the reception, everything went super smooth. All of the staff was excellent making sure every need was attended to promptly and anticipating things before we needed to ask. The vibe of the event was really enjoyable with scenic views and a really light, open, airy feel due to the large windows, high ceilings and decor. We received nothing but high praises from all of our guests about the venue, and how great the food tasted. When searching for venues, clearly there are lots of beautiful places, and it's easy to run up a large bill very fast. This venue stood out in hitting that sweet spot of beautiful setting, excellent food offerings, high quality service, and great value for the money. Tarek, our point person for booking the event was a real pleasure to work with and made the process a lot more pleasant than other experiences we've had in the past dealing with vendors with regards to negotiations, detailing, and following through with ensuring his staff delivered on the day of the event... he personally was on location to help oversee everything went well and it was greatly appreciated. We used Black Dahlia Florist and Absolute Entertainment as some of the recommended vendors by the venue... both were very familiar with the space, did an excellent job, and were also great value for high quality. Our cake was complimentary from Dortoni Bakery, it came out beautiful and tasted great. We still paid a $500 upcharge for the details we wanted even though we had the option for a free version; however, we were very happy we paid the extra money for what we received. Since the venue is a bit removed from many nearby hotels, we hired a charter bus from Elegant Limousine company which offered the best value in the area so our guests didn't have to worry about drinking/driving. We did a hotel room block for guests at the Marriott in Melville which was great as well in terms of convenience, quality, and value. I hope anyone reading this looking to plan their own event highly considers The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow and finds our review of them helpful in their planning.

The Pavilion was set to host our original date of May 22, 2020, but fate had a different idea. We worked for the next two years with Tarek and Emily to finally have our wedding on May 26, 2022. Despite the wait our day was amazing, flawless and stress-free. We didn't have to worry about any detail during our time there. We had an amazing Maitre'd and Bridal attendant that made the day perfect. We used the package and it was well worth it, you obviously pay a little extra for what you want, but still cheaper then individually finding vendors. Wouldn't have changed a thing!

There are not enough words to express how happy and grateful we are for everything Tarek and his staff did to make my daughters Bridal Shower the BEST day ever!I searched for months and finally found the Pavilion which was the perfect venue for us. I was captivated from the moment I first stepped through the doors. The Pavilion is simply gorgeous with its breathtaking panoramic waterfront views through the 180-degree glass windows just footsteps from the sandy beach. The ambiance at The Pavilion is like no other venue on Long Island. It is modern elegance, bright and spacious yet very intimate with one party at a time. The Pavilion is a Gem! What makes The Pavilion top notch is being able to work with Tarek, Emily, and the friendly staff at The Lessing Hospitality Group. Throughout the entire planning process, they were very helpful, professional, easy to work with, patient and accommodating. They always brought positive and great energy to all our meetings and cared so much to completely understand my vision and needs for the party.Tarek is truly the Best of the Best! He was constantly in communication with me regarding my many questions, requests, food selections, dietary needs, planning and set-up. He also communicated and coordinated with all my vendors and even allowed me to drop off and set-up all my decorations ahead of time. He managed everything and went above and beyond to make sure that our party was out of this world extraordinary. He really loves what he does and most of all making your event a dream come true! I hosted my wedding reception at the Pavilion earlier this month and everything about the venue and the service was absolutely perfect.I am a NY based event planner (@trevinatadrosinc) and while I had worked on client events at other Lessing's properties I had never worked on one at the Pavilion before my own wedding.I worked directly with Tarek out the gate and he was with me every step of the way. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and was constantly professional, accommodating and easy going. I was looking to do something a bit out of the box which required more involvement from the venue than your standard wedding would - Tarek never hesitated to take the extra time to make sure my vision would be executed down to the tiniest detail.On the wedding day itself the in-house staff were all absolutely amazing. The food was some of the best I have ever had from a wedding venue, and as a wedding planner that has been to countless venues, that says a lot. I hosted my wedding reception at the Pavilion earlier this month and everything about the venue and the service was absolutely perfect.I am a NY based event planner (@trevinatadrosinc) and while I had worked on client events at other Lessing's properties I had never worked on one at the Pavilion before my own wedding.I worked directly with Tarek out the gate and he was with me every step of the way. He was an absolute pleasure to work with and was constantly professional, accommodating and easy going. I was looking to do something a bit out of the box which required more involvement from the venue than your standard wedding would - Tarek never hesitated to take the extra time to make sure my vision would be executed down to the tiniest detail.On the wedding day itself the in-house staff were all absolutely amazing. The entire team went above and beyond and helped to make our wedding day the best day ever. Living in Kings Park, the pavilion is a venue that is often overlooked and taken for granted. Well, our wedding felt like a destination wedding with the most stunning views and ambiance. They also recently did some updates with the floors & walls & it looks AMAZING. All I can say is that we had everything we dreamed of because of the venue we chose. The amount of friends and family that continue to rave and say it was the best wedding that they have ever been to is unreal. Our guests loved the relaxed vibes & also loved how spread out everything was between the sand, boardwalk, 2 tents, and the building itself. I made a lot of decor myself… A LOT.. and Tarek allowed me to drop everything off during the week of the wedding & he helped with everything including lifting and organizing. We had the DJ in the large tent for dancing, and a games area in the smaller tent for guests to play. The day flowed seamlessly and everyone was so helpful & enthusiastic. When we asked for specific things, he said, \"let me see what I can do.\" And then proceeded to go above and beyond for us. The bridal attendant, Carly, and maitre d's Dave and Debbie were professional and were there every step of the way throughout the night. They took care of us and made sure we ate, had everything we needed, and kept the party going all night.We did the wedding package and used Absolute DJ's. They were so good that they may have ran out of business cards by the end of the night. Extremely professional. Our friends booked them for their wedding next summer. We also used Park Ave. photographers from the wedding package. They were excellent as well. The photographer, Tom, was the nicest guy and listened to what we wanted to do in terms of how many/few photographs we wanted. We were looking to just enjoy ourselves and not be pulled in too many directions, and he did just that. We snapped some pictures during cocktail hour, and he let the party commence while being a fly on the wall to document the fun. We were looking for a more informal party atmosphere and did the cocktail style dinner. The food was great and the stations had a natural flow to them. We did the ceremony on the beach at the venue. One side of the family was more religious than the other, so to make everyone happy, we were able to find a pastor on TheKnot. His name is William G. Britton. He did an excellent job for the ceremony and created exactly what we were looking for. Everyone was extremely impressed. I would highly recommend him. Overall, excellent experience at Sunken Meadow.

Just had my wedding on 10/11/21 and I don't have enough good things to say about the Pavilion and the staff. The food was great, the atmosphere was phenomenal. We were a COVID wedding and postponed a full year. Tarek was absolutely phenomenal with rescheduling us, it took 2 seconds and everything transferred right over. Tarek was amazing, from every annoying email I sent to every detail I didn't even think about, he had it all handled. I was also super lucky because he ended up being my Maitre'd on the night of my wedding so it was really nice to have someone I already knew, handling everything. Emily was my bridal attendant and literally every time I turned around she was there to see if I needed anything or bring me a drink. I don't think there were more than 5 minutes all night where she wasn't near me, checking on me. She is so sweet and attentive and took care of anything I needed. Helen was my captain, I didn't get to spend much time with her but that's because she was busy making sure all of the food was perfect. Tarek made everything super easy as far as menu selections, drop off, pick up, etc. Over the last year I've heard some real horror stories about Venue's and how they've treated their couples and I just feel so lucky that my experience was only positive.We added the Viennese hour and it was a HUGE hit- my friends are all raving about how great the treats were. Just had my wedding on 10/11/21 and I don't have enough good things to say about the Pavilion and the staff. The food was great, the atmosphere was phenomenal. We were a COVID wedding and postponed a full year. Tarek was absolutely phenomenal with rescheduling us, it took 2 seconds and everything transferred right over. Tarek was amazing, from every annoying email I sent to every detail I didn't even think about, he had it all handled. I was also super lucky because he ended up being my Maitre'd on the night of my wedding so it was really nice to have someone I already knew, handling everything. Emily was my bridal attendant and literally every time I turned around she was there to see if I needed anything or bring me a drink. I don't think there were more than 5 minutes all night where she wasn't near me, checking on me. She is so sweet and attentive and took care of anything I needed. Helen was my captain, I didn't get to spend much time with her but that's because she was busy making sure all of the food was perfect. Tarek made everything super easy as far as menu selections, drop off, pick up, etc. Over the last year I've heard some real horror stories about Venue's and how they've treated their couples and I just feel so lucky that my experience was only positive.We added the Viennese hour and it was a HUGE hit- my friends are all raving about how great the treats were. You may think that the best part of this unique venue is its beauty. The huge windows that overlook the boardwalk and Long Island Sound at sunset makes for a stunning backdrop to celebrate. But actually the best part of this venue is its staff. After a May 2020 wedding date, my husband and I had to postpone, not once, but TWICE due to Covid. And throughout it all, Tarek, Emily, and the entire staff were incredible. It truly was not a problem at all to keep pushing my date back. They are so helpful, professional, easy to reach, and patient. They truly worked with me on details I didn't even foresee and wanted to make sure my husband and I and our families had the perfect wedding reception. And we did! The food was excellent, the wedding package is incredibly reasonably priced, and did I mention the views? Where else can you say that your dance floor is the boardwalk?! I am so lucky that I got to spend the first day of my forever with my husband right here at the Pavilion. 10/10 would recommend.

Could not say enough good things about this venue and the staff. My fiancé (I MEAN HUSBAND) and I had our wedding here this past Friday (10/1/21) and I'm still getting texts from family and friends about what a great time they had and how delicious everything was.Tarek and Emily were both great and easy to work with. They were very prompt answering my many emails and questions. They we're super accommodating with all the details I wanted to have (we did pizza to-go and sparkler send off at the end of the night). Not exactly sure how I can explain my happiness and pleasure with my recent experience at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow; but I will try. Our daughter's wedding was less traditional in as much as it was less structured more feel flowing; she wanted to be more involved with her guests throughout the evening. To that, we planned multiple food presentations as well as a Viennese table. This approach placed importance on the organization aspects of the staff: coordinating kitchen requirements, directing staff, meeting the needs of the entertainment and the guest of course. Emily and Debbie, the Managers of the event did not disappoint. Under their direction, the entire staff functioned as a well oiled machine and were always available to me to manage any last minute nuances. Under their direction, the staff members were professional in appearance and demeanor, clean, and accommodating to all. I believe a staff needs to take a cue from their management. It was obvious to me the staff appreciated and respects Tarek, the Operations Manager. Their actions showed their willingness to go the extra yard for him, their guests and in turn the entire Lessing's organization. My dealings with Terek were always professional; he understood my needs and desires for this event. accommodating as possible, worked effective alternatives as needed and developed programs that were well thought out and received. His ongoing and timely communications throughout the planning process was stellar.I initially mention my pleasure with the event. As the evening evolved, I was able to sit back, relax a moment, interact with my guest and finally smiled. I felt like a guest. And it was my pleasure. Again, thank you to Terek, Emily, Debbie and the entire staff at the Pavilion. You made this even a memorable one for my family, and given the feedback I have received, there were many guests who felt the same way.

The venue is absolutely beautiful, right on the boardwalk facing the water, the most gorgeous backdrop! Emily and the rest of the staff were so on top of everything! Leading up to our party, we were very concerned about covid safety, and while we requested our guests be masked if going inside (except while eating), Emily additionally ensured all the tables were spread out and no one was on top of each other, that there was plenty of space to mingle inside and outside with lots of air flow, put plexiglass in front of the buffet, and had staff wear masks as well. I truly do not even know where to begin! From the moment I walked up to The Pavilion I knew that was where we wanted to get married. My husband and I originally wanted a backyard wedding but with certain logistics and costs we just couldn’t get past/justify them, so we moved forward with little to no reviews which made me a little nervous but booking The pavilion was the best decision we ever made! Originally we started out with Nicole as our event planner however from the moment Tarek took over I knew we were in the best of hands. When the world stopped spinning due to Covid (I was, like all the other couples) freaking out! I contacted Tarek to get an idea of how they were proceeding, if 2021 dates were available and for some guidance and he was absolutely incredible. He kept me updated on restrictions, Lessing’s current covid policies, and gave me advice. Tarek eased my nerves, worked with us to postpone, and made everything seamless! As someone who was planning a wedding himself he knew the stresses and understood. He took extra time, was extremely patient, and really was able to empathize with brides and grooms dealing with the exact same thing he was also going through. I read horror stories of how venues were dealing with postponements, cancellations and all things Covid and I can honestly say we did not have even ONE issue and for that I am so lucky. Leading up to our wedding day the support and assistance from Emily was unmatched. Her attention to detail was much appreciated for me. She took the time to truly go over exactly how I wanted each and every little thing done down to placement of silly signs. Anything we requested they followed through and delivered on. We wanted an extra bar set up to avoid lines, it was done. We wanted two pastas stations instead of one, it was done. Extra table and chairs in the second tent? Done. They were so accommodating and did everything they could to give us what we wanted. Our wedding day went by in the blink of an eye but it was truly the best day of our lives and we owe it to Tarek, Emily, and Carly. I am extremely type A and a perfectionist to a fault and they took my vision and helped bring it to life. The three of them made the entire night run seamlessly! Our Maître D was unable to be there that night so instead Tarek and Emily took over and ran the entire show. Anything I needed they were right there to handle for me. From taking orders, serving our guests, making sure everything was absolutely perfect for my husband and I they blew it out of the park. Carly was absolutely incredible. Not only is she the SWEETEST person ive ever met, she works like no other. She made sure everything was perfection. But what really stood out was how she hyped up and encouraged our daughter who was our flower girl right before she was about to walk down the aisle. She got scared seeing all of the people but Carly was right there! She gave her some encouraging words and a high five and sent her on her way. I could not have asked for a better bridal attendant! Any and all expectations we had of the day were far exceeded and I can not thank the entire staff at The pavilion enough. Our guests are still raving about the incredible venue, delicious food and all around amazing atmosphere. I could not have dreamt up a better wedding day. My husband and I are so thankful and will be recommending The Pavilion to everyone we know! I hope to one day be on the other side and attend a wedding here as a guest.

We just had our daughters shower at the pavilion at sunken meadow. It was absolutely perfect! The room is stunning with all the windows overlooking the water. They have it decorated beautifully. You don’t need much more. The staff was sooooo attentive! What a perfect day! Special thanks to Tarek from seeing the venue, booking the date, working out all the details (especially through all the COVID crap!) always kind and informative. Thank you soooo much! My daughter was super surprised! Special thanks to Helen from the time we walked in to the time we packed up. We just had our daughters shower at the pavilion at sunken meadow. It was absolutely perfect! The room is stunning with all the windows overlooking the water. They have it decorated beautifully. You don’t need much more. The staff was sooooo attentive! What a perfect day! Special thanks to Tarek from seeing the venue, booking the date, working out all the details (especially through all the COVID crap!) always kind and informative. Thank you soooo much! My daughter was super surprised! Special thanks to Helen from the time we walked in to the time we packed up. She was always there to help out and make sure everything was running smooth!Thank you for a great day Helen! You’re the best! Special shout out to Dennis our bartender! He did a fabulous job!I cannot say enough about this venue and the staff that run it! We have gotten so many compliments about food, staff, the room!Cheers to all of you! Thank you soooooo much!!

My fiancé and I were planning on getting married this past summer at the Sunken Meadow Pavilion. Like many other couples, we had to post pone our wedding because of the Corona virus. This was a very hard realization for both of us and we were very concerned about how our venue would handle this. Fortunately we were very lucky to be working with Tarek from Lessing’s. Our biggest struggle we experienced with the band, florist, and other companies we were working with was that nobody seemed to care. We were often rushed off the phone and had emails left unanswered, however Tarek was the complete opposite. He always had time to take our calls and answer all our questions and the Lessing’s COVID policy. We never felt rushed with him or that he wasn’t really listening to our concerns. He really made us feel like we were a priority to him and that he wants our day to be as special as we do and I have confidence in him that our wedding will be perfect when we are able to do it. I highly recommend working with Tarek when booking a wedding.

A huge thank you to Tarek! I had booked this place back in November for (August 28, 2020 )during a bridal showcase. Let me start by saying that in all of my years on this planet I have never had a better experience in the best of times let alone during this stressful time!My Son and future Daughter-in-Law were scheduled to have their wedding in August at the Pavilion at Sunken Meadow.I had read some horrific stories of other venues in Facebook groups and first hand from other friends, and I immediately began to worry and fill up with anxiety. I had concerns with some of our elderly guests and others that were flying in from out of town, so I reached out to the venue to open a conversation with them to discuss options.Tarek and the Lessing's team have been nothing short of a pleasure to work with. He has been extremely patient, and accommodating. Not only was I given all my options, Tarek even walked me through how to have the conversation with the happy couple. They have been readily available to speak with, flexible with finding alternative dates, They could not be more helpful and reasonable to work with in this difficult time, and this has made our lives and planning significantly easier and less stressful. They went above and beyond to alleviate my fears .We were already very impressed before the COVID-19 pandemic, but in the face of adversity is when the best in their field truly thrive. We are all thankful to be working with Tarek and the entire team at the Pavilion and cannot wait to celebrate after this is all over. Pavilion was the first venue we toured and fell in love with the scenery! Our wedding was the last weekend in October this year and really lucked out with the weather! It was a perfect partly cloudy high 60s day and the ceremony turned out to be absolutely amazing. Nicole was super helpful throughout the entire planning down to every detail and is the sweetest. While the venue is great as it is with the perfect beach setting, we were still able to add our own decorations to make it more of our aesthetics. I could not give a bigger thank you to Tio and Helen our Maitre D's for the night as they are THE BEST! The entire staff at Pavilion was great throughout the whole night. Our guests not only loved the location but also the amount of food they got throughout the entire night. If I had to go through the long process of planning my own wedding again, I would do it with Pavilion again in a heartbeat!

We got married here on September 8th and it was perfect. We could not have asked for a better experience. This is the only place I know of in Long Island that offers an all-inclusive wedding package (DJ, flowers, limo, cake, photographer -- and of course cocktail hour and reception). The weather cooperated, but I like to think that if it had not, the venue was so beautiful it wouldn’t have mattered. We had about 100 guests, with the DJ inside, and the size and layout was perfect. Even with another table or 2, I think we still could have fit comfortably. Nicole was the most amazing person when it came to planning the wedding. She answered SO MANY questions for me, met with me and my husband on numerous occasions, and really worked with us on everything, while being unbelievably pleasant throughout. She even came by on the day of the wedding to say hello and wish us luck. Without her, I’m not sure how I could have planned a wedding! Tio was out matre di, and he was great as well. We met with them both to pick colors, etc. and they were very helpful. We first saw the venue in winter and it looked beautiful. I was a little concerned when we came back in the summer and saw the huge crowds of people right where our ceremony and pictures would be. Turns out I had nothing to worry about. The staff at the Pavilion were great about making sure everyone was out of the way for the ceremony and for the entire night. Everything went off without a hitch. The food was great and the venue looked beautiful. I’ve received many compliments on the venue as a whole, as well as the food and overall ambiance, since the wedding. This seems to be something of a hidden gem in the Long Island wedding scene and definitely one of the most reasonably priced venues in the area. If you're looking for a unique, reasonably priced wedding experience, definitely go here.
