Pearl S. Buck Estate is a country wedding venue and manor house located in Perkasie, PA. The estate welcomes you to gather your friends and family close, and celebrate in style amongst 60 acres of pristine natural beauty. A historic property, the management invites you to add your chapter to its long story and enjoy its multiple event spaces. With such ample choice of settings on offer and support from wedding specialists, you can be sure of a show-stopping big day.
Pearl S. Buck Estate is an eye-catching setting both inside and out. The estate offers you the chance to celebrate your ceremony surrounded by vibrant shrubbery in a garden gathering. You can continue your party outdoors, choosing to organize a white-cloth dining experience under the shade of a large oak tree. The elegant Estate Pavillon offers a covered outdoor space that features a covered porch area, lounge furniture, and firepits. As such, your party can relax and recline in comfort as dusk settles upon the wedding day scene. For a celebration with serious country style, the red barn is offered. None of these structures compare, however, with the Estate House itself. A breathtaking old country manor, it features a patchwork of rough brickwork and characterful details such as wooden window shutters.
Pearl S. Buck Estate can welcome parties of up to 300 guests, offering them an experience defined by luxury and great service. Chief planner Kate and her team of dedicated staff members are there to ensure your big day runs like clockwork. She can help you to custom the event pavilion to meet the style of your party, and provide advice on decor. The kitchen team is ready to delight your guests with a menu full of classic dishes and the freshest of ingredients. You can opt for upmarket bites such as lemon marinated shrimp, to hearty treats such as mini-Philly cheesesteak sliders. After dinner, sit back and enjoy a cocktail or two from the bar.

Pearl S. Buck Estate Reviews
Michelle Iannarelli(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-10-2019 There are not enough words in the world to describe how amazing our wedding day was at the Pearl S. Buck Estate! We fell in love with this venue on Instagram- and as soon as we pulled into the grounds we KNEW this was where we wanted to get married. The pictures are gorgeous- and the real thing is even more stunning! Pearl S Buck offers many options for wedding ceremonies- so it can be tailored to each individual vision, budget, and taste. We wanted something different- something organic and outdoors- without a stuffy barn feeling and definitely not a banquet hall. Pearl S. Buck's Estate delivered in all aspects. Rachael (your handy-dandy wedding coordinator) was not only knowledgeable of the endless options the venue has to offer, but offered suggestions and opinions when needed. She has no problem telling you what will look good and what works for the venue- and she is open to any and all of your crazy ideas. I was nervous to work alongside a wedding coordinator- Type A over here- but I knew I could trust Rachael after the first day we met. She instilled confidence in me, and provided me with enough details that I knew going forward I would be at ease- you do really have to click with the person who's running your day! I would choose Pearl S Buck Estate a million times over again- their caterer Jamie Hollander Gourmet delivered the most INCREDIBLE food I have ever tasted at a wedding. Everyone is still talking about the food- from cocktail hour to dessert. And have no worries- how your food tastes at your tasting is exactly how it will taste at your wedding! We really cannot be more grateful and happy with out decision to have our wedding at the Pearl S. Buck Estate- and I promise you won't be disappointed =). Reviewed on 31-10-2019

We could not be more happy with how our wedding turned out at PSB Estate! We had an 80 person wedding on Oct. 6th. From the field where we held our ceremony, to the courtyard where we held cocktail hour, and the tent for the reception, the grounds were stunning throughout and made for a picture perfect day. Our day went so smoothly and we know that this would not have been the case without Rachel Bova, our Event Planner. We can’t thank Rachel enough for all the time, effort and thoughtfulness she put in leading up to our event and on the day of our event. We knew we were in such good hands with Rachel from our interactions with her and were able to enjoy every second without having to worry about a thing. Rachel made everything run so smoothly and we’re so fortunate for her help! We could not recommend this venue and team more. Our guests still haven’t stopped telling us how perfect the day was and how stunning this venue was! Reviewed on 27-12-2023

Wedding venue of my absolute DREAMS. So many incredible places to take photos and truly an unmatched venue when it comes to the gardens and the house itself. Bucks county is so gorgeous even just to drive through, so the ride to PSB was amazing for my guests too. When you can still be close enough to Philly without having to deal with traffic and other things that come with city wedding venues, its the perfect combination. PSB is such a hidden gem in a more rural part of PA, and I would tell ANYONE looking to have a garden/estate wedding to check it out!! Reviewed on 04-10-2023

Carolyn Cover(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-06-2022 WOW! Choosing Pearl S. Buck Estate (in partnership with Jamie Hollander Catering) for our wedding day was the absolute best decision we could have made. The site is absolutely gorgeous and surprisingly not super well known, even by PA locals. Even cooler - the author who originated the estate was WAY ahead of her time and was objectively an amazing lady. Please look her up and read her books if you’re so inclined, because they actually really good reads. I felt honored to be getting married at her home after learning more about her. You can also pay a little more to have house tours available for an hour or so during cocktail hour, which I also recommend. The guides are very knowledgeable and it adds an interesting element to your event while contributing to the estate. Overall, I highly HIGHLY recommend. Thanks PSB! Reviewed on 05-07-2022
Ashley Wright(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2021 Pearl S. Buck is an absolutely gorgeous venue, and all the food from Jaime Hollander is delicious! We had our wedding here on Friday, October 29, 2021. A few important things to note before you book this venue:1. There are a ton of hidden costs that you don't find out about until your final walkthrough a month before the wedding (ex: you have to pay to rent easels for your signage. They gave us a \"deal\" and only charged us for 2 of the 4.). Additionally, while the starting price for a standard sit-down meal is around $43/pp, costs will SOAR once they add on event rentals, staffing, and admin charges. 2. The bridal suite is nothing spectacular and was actually quite dirty on our wedding day. Additionally, we were not allowed to have food or snacks in the suite and the venue didn't ask if we needed anything food-wise. 3. We had a terrible storm the day of our wedding (heavy rain and winds ~30-40 mph). While there is an indoor contingency plan in the event of poor weather, the way our ceremony was set up still got the entire wedding party and the first 3 rows of guests soaking wet. Instead of moving the entire ceremony inside the reception tent, they still set us up on the patio of the reception tent which is covered but not inclosed. Not to mention, the sides of the tent were blowing throughout the evening and guests/gifts near the sides of the tent were getting wet throughout the evening. Winds were so bad that the power actually went out for a few minutes during reception entrances. 4. We were disappointed in our main wedding coordinator, Rachael S.. She was out on maternity leave over the summer, and we actually had our final walkthrough with another coordinator, Rachel B. who was amazing. Rachael was sometimes hard to get ahold of. She was also 10/15-minutes late to our rehearsal the day before the wedding which certainly put a bad taste in our mouth. The day of the wedding, she was dressed in a sweatshirt and leggings the day of the event and looked very unprofessional for a black tie optional wedding. She greeting us when we arrived, and then we didn't see her again until 4/4:15pm. Our ceremony started at 4:30pm, and we felt very rushed not knowing how we should line up well in advance. During the dinner, we unfortunately had a health issue with my grandmother. The coordinator/event staff didn't help much, and we actually had guests calling for an ambulance and trying to help guide the ambulance to the venue. After she filled out her incident report, she left for the evening. 4. Since our main event coordinator left early, there was a miscommunication with packing up the event, and instead of leaving the unopened alcohol for the drink vendor to pick up, the staff packed it all up in my dad's car. The next day, we had to bring the unopened alcohol back and unload it ourselves. There were definitely things outside of our control, but overall we expected a lot more from the venue and catering staff for the amount of money we spent on this event. If we had to do it all over again, we would pick another venue. It's such a shame because on paper and pictures, it was exactly what we were looking for, but it didn't live up to our standards. Alyssa Reed(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2021 We visited Pearl Buck early on in our wedding venue search and instantly fell in love. We had a quick conversation with Rachael Shadle (who would eventually become our wedding coordinator) as she showed us around the grounds where the ceremony and cocktail hour would be held and eventually the tented reception. We were blown away by this truly unique venue that offered so much more in its foliage and historic landmarks. There is so much natural beauty at Pearl Buck.Leading up to our wedding Rachael was in constant communication with us. She truly made the process as stress free as it could have been. Before our wedding date Rachael had gone on maternity leave and left us in the very capable hands of our second coordinator Rachel Bova. Rachel was there at our final walkthrough and made sure everything was scheduled to the second. She gave great insight and recommendations. Both attended our wedding and made sure everything was running on schedule and that we had everything we needed (including food and drink). It was such a pleasure working with both of them. They truly made our day as stress free and as special as it could have been. We could not have envisioned a more perfect day at a more perfect place. Reviewed on 20-10-2021
Kayla Peart(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-04-2021 I simply do not have words for the amazing wedding that my now husband, Josh, and I had at Pearl S. Buck on 4/24/21! I chose this venue in the midst of the pandemic lockdown simply based on pictures (a photographers dream!), and the promptness of response from Rachael, the coordinator. I chose the venue in April 2020, and finally got to see it in February 2021. It did not disappoint!! Rachael was there for us throughout every step of the way, and offered a lot of good suggestions for our day. Rachael will never steer you wrong! She also took care of coordinating my other vendors and the timeline. It was a huge stress relief for her to do that, she is simply amazing! The day of the wedding was just perfect. The venue itself is beautiful, especially how they keep it well manicured. Rachael and her staff at Jamie Hollander Catering took care of everything behind the scenes to make it go smoothly. They set everything up, and it looked gorgeous – even better than I imagined. They were never in the way either while making changes, or moving things from one place to the next. They were so prompt in getting all the food out on time, and making sure everyone was well taken care of. Josh and I were even designated a specific server for the night to let them know if we ever needed anything! Leslie, you rock! Everyone raved about the food all night, and still almost 5 months later people are still saying how good the food was. Especially the hors d’oeuvres!! They gave Josh and I a special mixture of all the appetizers in the bridal suite to enjoy before going into the reception – the best!! The staff was there to help and serve, but I really felt like they were never in the way and never distracting us from enjoying the night. The night went so smooth, and nothing was ever rushed or out of place. If I could choose Pearl all over again, I would. Amazing grounds, the best coordinator, nice spaces to get ready, the best caterer and staff, and an overall perfect night! I don’t have anything bad to say about Pearl! I definitely recommend this venue (along with our parents) to anyone looking! You will not be disappointed!! Reviewed on 20-09-2021

I never wanted to have my reception in a tent. Then I walked into this tent and thought, this is not a tent at all! The ceremony space is just gorgeous and there is nothing better then being able to get tours of the house during the cocktail hour. The staff were professional and so helpful. Anon A(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-05-2020 The Pearl S. Buck Estate is a beautiful location to hold a wedding. I fell in love with it at first site. However, the only caterer you can choose is Jamie Hollander Gourmet Foods. We had a COVID wedding date which obviously was not going to happen. They suggested we move our date (mostly weekday dates) and even push it to next year (with additional hefty costs). 25-50 people event all masked up. That's exactly what I dreamed of... As I predicted and all know now is that this wedding still wouldn't happen as COVID continues probably until next year. We could not put our life on hold. We wanted to cancel due to the unforeseen pandemic. They made it extremely difficult. They would not negotiate at all. The owner never contacted us even though we asked to speak to him. They were so uncooperative that we had to talk with lawyers, be stressed, and eventually go to court. All of our other vendors refunded us our money. In the most strange and difficult times they put up a fight and the owner acted like he had no clue what was going on.I will say that this one star is for Rachel who was an awesome wedding coordinator and for the beauty of the venue. If you absolutely want your wedding here. Read the contract! Make sure you add everything into the contract to cover yourself for any issues so they cannot argue with you. Get wedding insurance ASAP.Honestly, just have your event some place else! They aren't worth it and overpriced. Reviewed on 20-10-2020

After losing our original venue (due to management issues) only THREE MONTHS before the wedding, I was scrambling to find a decent alternative. It turns out, we were lucky that the initial venue fell through, because Pearl S. Buck was even better than we could have imagined. Rachael was truly a Godsend. She is kind, delightful to work with, and a complete pro. Understanding our difficult circumstances, she promised to make our experience with Pearl S. Buck a much better one, and she delivered ten-fold. Where do I begin? The venue has a dozen great spots for beautiful and unique photos. The bridal and groomsmen suites were comfortable and large enough for the entire bridal party to hang out in together. Our cocktail hour was in a great space alongside to the house/museum, which was open to guests at the direction of a tour guide. Our reception tent was absolutely perfect - huge, with beautiful white draping and built-in lighting. There was a lovely fire pit area outside the tent as well. Jenny Carpio(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-09-2017 To give everyone an idea about just how great this venue was, please keep in mind that we are writing this review the day AFTER our wedding. We still need to pack and leave for our honeymoon tomorrow, but felt compelled to share our amazingly positive experience with the beautiful Pearl S. Buck Estate. Some of the guests came all the way from Germany and even they were amazed by the natural beauty of the grounds. The tent and facilities were first-class. Most impressive, however, has to be the amazing staff at Jaimee Hollander Caterers, the exclusive caterer to this venue. Special thanks goes out to Nicole, who ensured that we were stress-free from the beginning of our planning all the way through the end, when she and her staff personally loaded our cars with left over foods, desserts, and decorations. We cannot say enough good things about her. She was delightful, but also diligent and organized in her planning and execution. Should you choose this venue, do NOT waste money on a \"wedding planner,\" they will function as your wedding planner. The food at Jaimee Hollaster was similarly top-rate. Regardless of the entree, we've already heard how much our guests enjoyed it. Again, keep in mind, this was only 24 hours ago! The desserts were delicious as well. We would highly recommend adding the s'more station, although you do have to consider that it will take a few guests away from the dance floor, at least momentarily. The only down-side to this venue is the hard 10 pm stop time due to a local noise ordinance. We were not quite ready for the fun to end by then. This problem was/can be easily circumvented by shuttling guests to a local bar/club. In summary, if it falls within your budget, the Pearl S. Buck Estate (and Jaimee Hollander Caterers) really went above and beyond to make our wedding magical. One visit to the site and you'll understand. Considering you get that type of natural beauty combined with the unbelievable service and food provided by Jaimee Hollander and I am sure you will not regret your decision. Review done. Megan Douress(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-06-2015 I have very mixed feelings about my experience at the Pearl S. Buck Estate, solely because of the planning/rental company it comes with, Open Aire Affairs. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, which made for a beautiful wedding day!\r\rMy husband and I knew we wanted an outdoor wedding in Bucks County with a garden setting. After seeing many photos online, we toured the grounds in 8 inches of snow and fell in love! Apparently, a lot of people feel this way, and we ended up booking 18 months in advance. We visited the grounds a few times throughout our wedding planning process, and the venue was always in tip-top shape. The landscaping is all done by volunteers, which is amazing! The acres of rolling hills, wooded areas and flower beds are ideal for photos, too. They truly do a great job!\r\rWhile the setting is ideal for any couple who wants an outdoor wedding, I have to warn them about the planning/rental company that comes with it. With our rental of the venue came our coordinator, also known as the person who keeps track of your expenses. We went through three coordinators with OAA, making it a rather frustrating process for an already stressful time. Our last coordinator could never get it right, either. Two weeks before the wedding, we met with her to finalize our (very!!!) expensive upgrades, and she came back with $3,000 in addition to what we wanted! She didn't show up to the rehearsal, and I only saw her once from a distance the day of the wedding. She was extremely inconsistent and not very communicative. My advice is to be very detailed with your communication with OAA, and keep a close eye on your invoices to avoid unnecessary charges! Reviewed on 31-07-2015
Ann Rosica(parent)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-07-2013 The venue itself is lovely, however it is expensive and the Co. that provides the tent etc. is hard to get ahold of and unhelpful with day to day questions and issues. Only the basics come with the \"package\ Reviewed on 15-08-2013
