Every single person- from the front desk staff, door security, and bar tenders- was incredibly kind and accommodating during our wedding weekend. I also had the pleasure of getting to work closely with Ivana (the event manager) for the entire year leading up to our wedding. She answered every question I had, and always was there for midday chat to ease my planning anxieties. Ivana truly made our event so special, and she was such a pleasure to work with. I’m so grateful for her and her entire team for making this the best weekend of my life. Also, Meredith (the Pastry Sous Chef) was such a beam of light and positivity. She made the most stunning cake for us, and working with her was so fun. We were very excited to have our wedding at the Perry Lane Hotel, but ultimately our experience fell short of our expectations.We got off to a rocky start when we were told our first-choice date was available, and only after signing a contract did we learn they were double booked, causing us to need to find a new DJ. For their part, the hotel did extend some concessions for their mistake, but we were still disappointed.As our date approached, we became concerned with the communication. We got the impression that our event was not important, and we were just another couple of guests at the hotel. We learned another event was booked in the same room as ours earlier in the day and now our vendors would have 2 hours for setup. My wife and I have some experience in the wedding industry, and we know 2 hours is not enough time to set up, and that a legitimate venue would not schedule another event the same day as a wedding, certainly not at a luxury five-star property. Because they did, our vendors had to make special arrangements for loading-in extra early, only to be told that morning they could not. As a result, our setup was very rushed, one of our floral installations was incomplete, our photographer was not able to take room shots without staff in the photos (since they were still setting up the room), and all vendors were visibly stressed by the time reception started. Fortunately, we were unaware of these problems happening at the time and were elated by how beautiful our room looked. The catering staff was very professional, and the service was great. We would also be remiss not to mention the one manager Elise that went above and beyond throughout the whole process. When we first started having concerns during the planning process, we were connected with Elise, and she really made us feel like she genuinely cared about us. She was very attentive and really tried her best to give us the experience we hoped for. Unfortunately she only had so much control, which brings me to the biggest disappointment of the night: the food.Nearly every steak was overdone, including my own, which was also served cold. Since I said nothing at the time, my claims were denied by the staff, despite hearing from our guests that their food was similarly disappointing. Additionally, very few guests were able to enjoy the dessert because it was cleared less than 30 minutes after it was served.For their part, the hotel did offer a partial refund for the desserts being cleared too early (and also for two of our linens that the hotel somehow lost), but not before we escalated the situation to Elise again, proving again that she is the only person at that hotel that cared about us, but also reminding us that if not for her, our wedding would have been a complete, unmitigated disaster.Our overall impression of the Perry Lane hotel is that it is a faux five-star experience. On the whole, (aside from the servers), the staff appears to be inexperienced, especially client-facing catering staff. It feels as though they were all hired without any proper training, and nobody cares because the hotel is booked solid in spite of it. The luxury you are paying for is the beauty of the property. The food at our welcome dinner at the Pirate House was better than the food at the Perry Lane, and the service we received from every one of our vendors was superior to that of the hotel. To this day, General Manager has refused to return a phone call, despite several requests. Reviewed on 29-12-2023

Kasey and Ivana were absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire planning process. Kasey was incredibly patient in answering all of my (many) questions over the past 2 years and she just was really enjoyable to work with. We loved the Perry Lane, our guests loved it too and absolutely wouldn't have had our wedding anywhere else. Best decision ever! Thank you again for making our day absolutely magical!!!! Every time we had a question or inquire, it would be at cost or we would have to get in touch with vendors. Caroline and her whole team went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The communication was excellent from the moment we toured the venue. The catering team and venue set up teams made everything we asked for happen. This venue is gorgeous, unique and elegant. The food was out of this world. You start off by doing your food tasting, which was some of the best food I've ever had along with the service that was provided during this tasting. Our venue coordinator, Caroline Greenwood, made this experience even better. She will go above and beyond to make sure your stay and wedding is the best experience you'll ever have. She greeted us at the front desk when we checked in, brought everything to our room, answered emails at night or days she didn't work (quite quickly too), if you needed anything she would bring it up to your room, she helped coordinate the entire day, fluffed my dress when needed, brought a roll away TV up to the rooftop lawn during our farewell party to let our guests watch a football game, and just went out of her way to make sure we were her number one priority which made us feel so special. This is the perfect venue and Caroline added that cherry on top of the cake it make it absolutely worth this venue. Not only was Caroline so great, but the service you receive from everyone at the hotel is incredible such as the valet attendant's, the chef, the front desk attendant's, etc. They were all amazing. Our wedding went on without any problems. Not to mention the beautiful scenery on the rooftop lawn and the gorgeous weather. You will NOT regret having your special day here. Reviewed on 23-09-2020
Diana P(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-05-2019 I was married at Perry Lane Hotel in May of 2019 and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. My husband and I had visited a number of venues in Charleston at first, but nothing seemed to resonate with us. We did some research and learned Perry Lane was opening nearby in Savannah and had the mid-century modern feel and classic hotel atmosphere we wanted. Everything from the contract to the room set up to the menu selections and the wedding was perfect. Allison is amazing to work with and did not miss a beat. Our tasting was an event in itself. The chefs walked us through each plate and the pastry chef met with us to create a specialized dessert based on some feedback we provided to Allison before the tasting. We also had a chance to taste the wines. The staff during the event was fabulous and despite a bit of rain during cocktail hour, they were able to manage everything flawlessly. We got married next door in the Cathedral and Perry Lane provided their town cars to bring bridal party, parents and I over to the church for the ceremony. For the rehearsal dinner, we went to Savannah Spirits Chop House and had dinner, followed by a welcome party on the private third floor. I think about my wedding often and have such fond memories - and a lot of that is because of the wonderful environment Perry Lane provided. Reviewed on 27-02-2020
