Literally every person who worked at the hotel were so lovely and helpful to us and our wedding guests! The hotel was also so wonderful to have a wedding block in because of the awesome lobby/bar/tv rooms in the center of the hotel. It really encouraged the guests to hang out and mingle. We even did our after party there and everyone loved it! Such a neat, beautiful hotel so close to everything! Our brunch food and location was delicious and perfect! Kelly Ball(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2022 When we were looking at venues we originally were not considering hotels. We scheduled a tour of Marriott Old City because the price per person was the best we’d seen in the city. We were so impressed by the tour and everything included in the package that we booked right away! The food and bar package is great and our guests are still talking about all the options at cocktail hour. I only have good things to say about Samantha and all the staff at the Marriott. She made the whole planning process easy and made sure we were able to have everything we wanted on wedding day - including the Sixers Stixers and late night federal donuts. She planned all the meetings and tastings throughout the process and was always available if I had a question. She was there on wedding day if we needed anything which was amazing. On wedding day the staff set everything up beautifully and had everything packed up for us the next day. It was a breeze! The hotel is very convenient if you want to have everything in one place and most of our guests stayed at the hotel so we did not have to provide any transportation. We also had a brunch the next day which the guests really enjoyed. The staff even had the tables set nicely with flowers from the night before. I would 100% recommend them for your wedding!! Andi Diorio(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-09-2019 Traci, Fran, and the whole team at the Marriott (formerly Sheraton Society Hill) are fantastic – can’t thank them enough for making our wedding reception so amazing! Throughout the planning process, I worked with Traci who was so professional and easy to work with, she is so sweet – I absolutely loved working with her! She was so responsive to all my emails/calls/questions and while she was out on maternity leave for my actual wedding day, she organized everything perfectly before she left so it was an easy transition. Fran was my contact for the few weeks before the wedding and day-of, and he was just as amazing – completely made us feel at ease and the day of, we didn’t have to worry about one thing. The food is amazing – Many of our guests commented how great all the food (especially the cocktail hour) was! You get to try a ton at the tasting which makes it hard to decide because everything is so good. The team is also super flexible and accommodating if you have any special requests – we met Kim, one of the servers, at our tasting who was also at the actual wedding – she went above and beyond, truly made us feel like royalty for a night!!Nikki managed our hotel block and was extremely helpful – we had no issues at all and she was able to answer all of our (and our guests’) questions regarding the rooms. We did face one slight complication because the Sheraton rebranded to the Marriott a few months before our wedding but Traci regularly shared updates on the status of the rebrand and some of the renovations going on at the hotel so we really didn’t have anything to worry about! The newly renovated rooms and lobby bar are gorgeous. The evening was simply perfect and would definitely recommend the Marriott – great location in Old City (great for nearby photos) and an amazing value for Philly! Devin Henry(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-01-2018 I cannot recommend the Sheraton Society Hill enough as a wedding venue. There are a ton a pros: First, the events team there, headed by Traci, is incredible. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and really made our wedding planning experience and reception stress-free and enjoyable. Second, the food was delicious. Everything we tried at our tasting was so good and many of our guests complemented the food after the reception. It was also very reasonable for a city venue and the price is pretty comprehensive. We kept getting quotes that didn't include tax or other significant hidden fees, and the Sheraton's quote gave us the full picture of what we would be paying, which I appreciated. I truly could go on and on about how wonderful the service and facility was. I would truly be reaching for any kind of con. Our experience was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. I highly recommend checking out the Sheraton if you're looking for a nice city venue. Reviewed on 22-01-2018

Mary Kate Rachfal(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-08-2015 The Sheraton was really conveniently located for our Old City Philadelphia Church. We had many out of town guests and this hotel put them in the area of town they wanted to walk around and explore. Guests could valet park for a price comparable to most area parking. It was easy to coordinate bus pick up for transporting our guests to the rehearsal dinner and reception because Dock street isn't a crazy street with lots of through traffic- this made things so much easier. Carroll was lovely to work with in coordinating our room block, welcome bags and brunch for the morning after the wedding. We were also able to have vendors park at the hotel and have their parking billed to us which was nice and easy for all. Bridal suite was awesome to have for hair and makeup to be done in the room. Jaclyn McNamee(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2015 We highly recommend the Sheraton Society Hill as a wedding reception venue. From the beginning of our planning process, the Sheraton stood out to us as a beautiful, downtown location that fit into our budget. Traci Teodoro-Meldrum, the catering manager, made the entire planning process easy for us. She is extremely responsive, flexible, and organized. She answered every question and concern we had and made sure that we were happy with each decision. The night of the wedding she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and even made sure that we ate dinner without too many interruptions.\r\rTraci helped us to build a package that fit our budget and our needs. Our cocktail hour included two stations and passed appetizers. For our reception, the guests had a choice between two meals. The bar was open for the entire event, which guests appreciated especially during dinner. Everyone commented that the food was delicious and served warm. Traci also took care of setting up our centerpieces, the cocktail hour space, and the ballroom exactly how we envisioned it. \r\rWe had almost half of our guests traveling from Chicago for the wedding and booking a block of rooms was so easy at the Sheraton. Carol Lawson updated us with the number of rooms being filled and was flexible when it came to moving some guests into our block who hadn't booked it correctly. All of our guests at the hotel were impressed by the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall service of everyone they interacted with at the Sheraton. Reviewed on 06-08-2015

From our initial contact she was professional, courteous, responsive, resourceful, and an absolute pleasure to work with. She really gets to know the wedding couple and put my mind at ease that everything would be executed perfectly on the day – and it was! Traci worked with us to customize our wedding package and made sure we were getting the most value out of our package. \r\rWe had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Sheraton and found it very convenient for both our guests and us to have everything at one central location. We also set up a room block at the Sheraton for our out-of-town and overnight guests. Further, we had a post-wedding brunch on site at the Sheraton which worked out great. Ginene Member(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-09-2014 This hotel was the most beautiful one in our price range. I don't remember the cost exactly, but we were able to work with the wedding planner to bring the price down considerable from the original quote. The chandeliers were gorgeous, and gave the space a very upscale feel. Food was amazing! Everything was included (food, drinks, cake, minor decor), and if you wanted more you could pay for more (although we chose the most basic option and it was perfect for us). The best part was that being at a hotel was very convenient for our guests! Reviewed on 30-10-2014
