Pine Forest Country Club is a sophisticated wedding venue in Houston,TX. It was established in 1945 during World War II by legendary architect, John Bremedus, alongside North Shepherd Boulevard on 144 acres of pine trees. The golf course that he built hosted the 1949 Houston Open and the University of Houston’s All-American Intercollegiate team for 15 years. Almost three decades later, wanting to be near to three-fourths of its membership, the club decided to move west. After a good search, they located and acquired enough land for a 27-hole course. Some of the trees from the original North Shepherd course were also transplanted. Today, the Pine Forest Country Club is a dynamic “home away from home”, rooted in tradition and family. Over the years, Pine Forest has added onto its amenities, including 10 tennis courts, resort-style pool, and spa. With a capacity of up to 350 guests, this venue can be the backdrop for intimate affairs as well as extravagant soirees. The spacious Legacy Ballroom boasts a 1100 square foot dance floor and gorgeous chandeliers that paints an absolutely dreamy picture. Adjoining to which is the Sunset Terrace which overlooks the rolling hills and makes for a truly picturesque location for photos. The Founder’s Lounge and Oak Room can accommodate a smaller gathering. It features a fully stocked bar, piano, and a cozy fireplace. The President’s Room would be ideal for intimate affairs of up to 12 people. Get-ready suites are also available at your convenience. The staff at Pine Forest Country Club is dedicated to seeing the event through to perfection. Trust in the in-house catering team to tailor a menu to suit your style and taste. Words cannot even begin to express how wonderful the experience of having my wedding reception at Pine Forest was. If I could do it all over , I would DEFINITELY have it here again! Evangelia, the event coordinator, was phenomenal. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and she is so kind. When my parents and I first met with her, I just knew this was the place I wanted to have our reception, and my dad, not even knowing that, looked at me and said, \"Well how can we NOT have it here?!\" She accommodated all of our needs and met with us whenever we needed to meet. When they didn't have enough tri-level vases for us to have them on 6 tables, we asked her where she got them, so we could buy more, and she told us not to worry about it...that she would take care of it. That meant a lot to us!For my bridal shoot, she couldn't be there because it was after office hours, but a couple days before, she sent us pictures and videos of great spots for us to go and take pictures, and she recorded herself walking and driving to those places, so we would know how to get there. On top of that, she reserved two golf carts for us and parked them right in front, with a sign, so people would know they were for us. It was such a wonderful experience! At the reception, everything was wonderful! The staff was exceptional. The ballroom looked like a dream, and the food was phenomenal, seriously...it was amazing! Every last detail was perfect! The staff went above and beyond. One kind staff member even saw that one of the young guests was upset because his shirt got wet, so the staff member took the shirt and put it in the dryer for the boy. I was blown away when I heard that! So many of our guests raved about the food and the staff, and they couldn't get over how beautiful the venue was! The staff was very attentive to my husband and me as well, making sure we had a drink and all the food that we needed.No one in our family is a member of Pine Forest Country Club, but they honestly made us feel like members. That's just how hospitable they are. I recommend Pine Forest to anyone and everyone. You won't find a better place. Not to mention, you won't have to search for a caterer (their food is amazing) or a cake baker (Susie's Cakes is included in the price, and it's delicious), you won't have to rent tables, chairs, linens, and all those little things that you don't think about. They have hurricane glasses, tri-level vases, and so much more available to you, so you don't have to rent/buy those either. I can't recommend Pine Forest enough! Thank you, Pine Forest and Evangelia for such an incredible experience!

When we first got engaged, a recently married friend recommended we look at country clubs for our reception as a better value than wedding-only venues (lower venue rental fees, better food, etc.). I don't remember how we initially found Pine Forest Country Club for our wedding reception but I'm so glad we did! We just happened to book during Houston's Bridal Extravaganza in Jan. 2020 which allowed us to get a great rate on the banquet room. Then the pandemic hit. We were still so far from our wedding date that we assumed everything would be back to normal by the new year. We never had to change our wedding date but there were still many uncertainties and changes leading up to the wedding. Through it all, Evangelia and Pine Forest Country Club were AMAZING to work with! Evangelia patiently answered all of our questions and offered advice on things we were clueless about. When our confirmed guest count came in at half of what we expected (even with COVID planning), Evangelia quickly threw out suggestions to keep us from having to rework many decisions we had already made.Our wedding reception at Pine Forest was a dream! All of the catering staff were very accommodating and everything ran smoothly. Many of our guests commented that the food was some of the best they'd ever had at a wedding. The banquet room looked beautiful and was the perfect size for our Grand March. Overall, we could not have picked a more perfect venue and planning team for our big day.

This is by far the best wedding venue in the area - we looked at many and nothing else came close! Our wedding guests are still commenting on how lovely and spacious it was. The staff are amazing and so attentive and accommodating! This was our first wedding and they always answered my one million questions and did everything I asked of them. My day-of-wedding planner said this was the most responsive, competent amazing staff she has ever worked with! The food was great, the bar service was excellent, everyone was friendly and accomodating and we could not imagine a better place for our daughter's wedding. This is by far the best value for your money!

This is by far the best wedding venue in the area - we looked at many and nothing else came close! Our wedding guests are still commenting on how lovely and spacious it was. I looked at a lot of different venues including some very popular ones in Houston such as the Bell Tower and ended up choosing Pine Forest Country Club for many reasons including:\r1) Price was fair and I did not feel I am being ripped off. Some other wedding venues made it look cheap but being good with numbers I calculated my total cost to be so much higher than what they made it appear.\r2) Stella the catering manager was very professional and seemed to know her stuff and appeared very experienced.\r3) They seemed flexible to my needs without asking for tons of extra charges.\r4) The building was beautiful and the view was nice.\r5) They were willing to allow us to have extra time up to 1:30 AM.\r\rNow that everything is behind me I am even more happy with my choice than before the wedding for the following reasons:\r1) Pine Forest renovated the whole building and made it much more elegant and nice.\r2) Stella was so helpful with everything and she was so flexible with dates including deadline for picking food and even deadline for payment.\r3) I was told the food was good but I did not really eat so I can't tell.\r4) I knew taking pictures at Pine Forest would mean ending up with beautiful photos but the golf course is much bigger and much more beautiful than it seems. Stella gave us 2 golf carts to go into the course after the ceremony for pictures and me and my husband could not believe how beautiful it was. We almost wanted to just stand there watch or get a picnic bag and picnic there instead of going back to the ballroom for the wedding and to top that off our pictures came amazing like pictures from a book.\r\rFinally the only improvement area might be to train service staff a little better but no complaints.

We booked this venue 2 years in advance. The first 'Catering Director' we had was the woman who had been working there for years and won The Knot award. After her we had another woman who was extremely incompetent. She seemed like she didn't care about her job at all. Then we had the assistant who was standing in for the new Catering Director. \r\rThen we had Stella from New York. She was the first person who actually seemed like she cared and knew what she was doing. We were so happy to actually have somebody helpful. She was very nice and efficient in the beginning. However, after the rehearsal ceremony it was clear she likes to bark out orders like a General, which was amusing. If I wasn't so calm on the wedding day her frantic reassurances would have driven me crazy. She was telling us in a stressed out voice 'Don't worry, don't worry, it'll all be fine', when all we had asked was a simple calm question. \r\rWhat did make me upset about her though, was one of the guests overheard her say 'Well this is a favor I'm doing for them (bride & groom), because they are clueless'. Yes, we were clueless, but it's also your job to be present at the reception to make sure the food is out and the cake gets taken away to be cut. It is not our job to make sure there will be waiters to take the cake away to be served. Also, THIS IS TEXAS. We have something called 'Southern Hospitality'. If it's a favor then don't gripe about it.\r\rSo bottom line, yes, Pine Forest has a new 'Catering Director' and she is better than the previous 2.

My husband and I chose PFCC initially because the wedding coordinator there was a sweetheart and she'd been working at the venue for many years now. A few months after we signed our contract with PFCC, the wedding coordinator quit and was replaced by another one. Then two weeks before our wedding, PFCC informed us that THAT coordinator also quit (only because my husband and I showed up at the venue confused as to why nobody was emailing us two weeks prior to the wedding). \r\rWe were disappointed to find out that a completely new wedding coordinator was going to start working the week leading up to our wedding.\r\rNeedless to say, this was all a huge hassle. A lot of things were miscommunicated or failed to be communicated between the managing director and new wedding coordinator. The service was as good as we could expect seeing as how our wedding was the first one this new coordinator was going to run at PFCC. Overall I would say the wedding ran smoothly with some glitches here and there but nothing that ruined the wedding.\r\rThe venue itself is beautiful. I'm sure that in a few months, the service will get a lot better. The wedding and food packages they offer are a steal compared to every other country club and hotel my husband and I visited when we were first shopping around for venues.

My husband and I had an AMAZING time at our reception. Pine Forest was the perfect size for all of our guests, we had about 210 guests. The food was also VERY good. I did not hear any complaints. However, the coordinator there lost our custome sign in book.... we were not happy about that.

My husband and I had an AMAZING time at our reception. Pine Forest was the perfect size for all of our guests, we had about 210 guests. The food was also VERY good. I did not hear any complaints. However, the coordinator there lost our custome sign in book.... we were not happy about that.

The staff at Pine Forest (PFCC) is wonderful. Every time we went to check out the space (a lot!) they were always very helpful and courteous. We wanted a very different layout than they normally set up and all the people we spoke with were very good at making suggestions and listening to our needs. From the director of catering (Jeanette) to the waitstaff they are top notch. \rI did not have anyone to set up my linens, table decorations or sign-in book etc the day of the event. Pine Forest charges a $100 fee for linen set up but they did everything else as well for no charge– including placing my 100+ votives on all the tables, scattering the table crystals, setting up the photos and attaching the pew bow flowers brought from church to the main tables before the guests were brought in. Everything was done perfectly to my specifications – it was beautiful.\rThe food is very good and plentiful and the taste-testing experience was very pleasant. My fiance was unable to attend the tasting at the last minute so the kitchen packed up his samples for me to bring to him.\rThe night of the event I never was lacking in anything. There were staff dedicated to me and my husband, getting us whatever we needed from food, drinks, including a chair and fan to rest after all the dancing! Jeanette was on-hand to keep everything on schedule. All my guests were very pleased with the experience. \rMy nephew was married the week before us and I think the food, beverage and bar packages at PFCC were much better quality and value for the money than his location.\rMy only issue is the fact you can't take any left over food (that you paid for) from the club. We had a lot of last minute no-shows and had a lot of left over food. It bothers me that it is thrown away.

Jeanette was wonderful to work with and she handled everything the day of the wedding. We coordinated mostly over email and we also met a couple times at the venue to go over details. I would highly recommend this venue and Jeanette!

The place was beautiful! The food was yummy! The point of contact was wonderful in helping us plan the evening, but she let us down terribly by leading us on to think she acted as the wedding director for the evening, but she was invisible a lot of time and things didn't occur as planned. Very disappointing!

Pine Forest CC was a perfect place to hold the reception for my son's wedding. The wedding coordinator was excellent from beginning with the planning to the end when she made sure every little thing was set-up perfect to plan when we all arrived from the church. The wedding/event coordinator (Jeanette) at PFCC is so wonderful at her job and she knows EXACTLY what she's doing! She was there for every minute of the reception to make sure everything stayed on schedule and we were where we needed to be at the right time, not to mention she helped me bustle my lace gown that was impossible to find the loops in! I gave her some ideas that I wanted to do as far as decorations but I was unsure of how exactly they would look in the end, her and the staff exceeded my expectations and it turned out beautifully! We didn't spend that much money for our wedding but it looked like a million bucks! Plus the food was AWESOME!

The wedding/event coordinator (Jeanette) at PFCC is so wonderful at her job and she knows EXACTLY what she's doing! She was there for every minute of the reception to make sure everything stayed on schedule and we were where we needed to be at the right time, not to mention she helped me bustle my lace gown that was impossible to find the loops in! I am SO thankful we had our reception at Pine Forest Country Club! The food and cake were amazing, and there was more than enough. The decorations were beautiful. Everything looked just the way we wanted, and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. Perfect for a stress-free wedding! The staff will make it a roaring success.
