We had our wedding on 5/12/23. Initially when I signed my contract for this venue I was working with Michele and she was great. Very helpful, intelligent, and informative. When that switched to Nicole it was a very different experience. Things were disorganized. We went for our rehearsal and couldn’t even see the space because there was an event going on… no logic there. I gave my final count the week before our wedding (as was requested by the venue) and somehow the food orders were still a complete mess. Tables of 10 were served family style without 10 portions on each tray and waited over 30 minutes for more to be brought out if any ever was. They were completely shocked that I didn’t want every single light on while the dancing portion of the night was beginning and had to bring in a ladder to unplug some of the string lights. This definitely deterred people from getting on the dance floor initially. The bar was telling guests that it was last call before 11pm when we clearly had an open bar til midnight. That message apparently didn’t make it from Nicole to the staff responsible for the flow of our wedding. While the bartenders and servers were all very friendly and helpful, I felt that we had many issues occur that simply never should have. I had a feeling things would be a mess when Nicole took over and unfortunately I was correct. While she was “friendly” things just weren’t handled in a way that ever gave me any confidence in the event. Reviewed on 27-05-2023

Michele was there for everything and was professional and accessible throughout the entire process. The day of the wedding was perfect…seriously PERFECT. The food- decor- drinks- bowling after party- all of it was just amazing!! Mara Leane(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2022 We were very happy with our decision to host our wedding reception at Pinstripes in the all-seasons patio room. It’s hard to imagine how all your visions (especially with decorations) will come together in a space, but I was beyond happy with how the space turned out. From the lights to the room set-up, the space turned out even better than I could have imagined. Sami was incredibly helpful throughout the little over a year between when we first toured Pinstripes and when we had our wedding. She helped us make sure we got the best deal we could and was very responsive (I had many questions for her at times!). We were able to drop all of our decorations off at Pinstripes the evening before the wedding which was helpful too. Our guests remarked how beautiful the space was and how great the food was. We were also able to take some beautiful pictures outside in the back with the sun setting behind us. We would definitely recommend having your wedding at Pinstripes-Northbrook! Marc Karlinsky(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-05-2022 Pinstripes Northbrook offers a beautiful patio venue with fantastic food. We worked with Sami to book a Sunday-night wedding on a holiday weekend. We were drawn to newly renovated all-seasons patio space, which has garage doors that open entirely to a grassy space. The open-air feel really helped our guests feel comfortable in a pandemic-era wedding. Pinstripes’ food and drink minimums are reasonably priced and gave us the flexibility to make sure all our guests could enjoy the family-style dinner and desserts. (We’re still hearing about the tenderloin sliders and the chopped salad months later!) We appreciated how Pinstripes eliminates the need for several vendors by coordinating chair/linen/charger rentals on their side and on one invoice. Our event did have notable issue: the wedding cake we ordered through Pinstripes’ preferred baker never arrived, requiring us to grab a cake from the cooler across the street at Whole Foods. (Being located in a suburban shopping mall has its upsides!) Sami wasn’t onsite for the wedding night, but she and her team rectified the situation quickly and professionally in the days after the wedding. Wife and I are chalking it up to some early-wedding season rustiness that isn’t likely to repeat itself with future events. (And more importantly, it was a detail that 90% of our guests never noticed.) Overall, we’d still recommend this as a great suburban venue. Reviewed on 22-07-2022
Rebecca Pesavento(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-06-2021 Pinstripes was a great venue of choice on our wedding day. Sami, the Event Manager, was responsive and put us at ease (which was especially important when planning a pandemic wedding). We had several questions for Pinstripes before selecting them as a venue and during the year and half planning process and Sami addressed our questions thoroughly and honestly. Their list of preferred vendors was comprehensive and all of the ones we connected with were professional and reasonably priced. Even better, those vendors had been to several Pinstripes events so they knew the space, layout, etc. On our wedding day, the servers and bartenders were both friendly and accommodating. We received several compliments on the food options and variety offered as well. The venue is also centrally located to those coming in from the city, the suburbs, or O'Hare. Related to the convenience factor, there is a hotel in the adjacent parking lot to Pinstripes so no shuttle service is necessary. I think what really sold us was the outdoor space. We held the ceremony outdoors and the backdrop is beautiful and makes for great photo ops. Our guests were able to mingle outside after dinner which allowed everyone to spread out comfortably. My only issue was related to the air conditioning. If you are holding your wedding in their all seasons room, there is no central A/C so if it's a hot day, expect you and your guests to be hot. They only had one industrial size fan for us to use, which did not provide much help. Fortunately, we held our cocktail hour indoors and in A/C so our guests got a break from the heat. We also bought disposable fans for our guests and had a water station set up during the ceremony. Reviewed on 29-06-2021
Jana Mazan(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-05-2021 Our wedding was moved to Pinstripes after our original venue closed due to COVID. The meetings we had with Sami and the pinstripes team leading up to our May wedding made us feel heard and that our event would be executed with care and detail. We were even given the reassurance that the Regional Manager would be there to provide backup in case of obvious and expected wedding day mishaps. Instead they both dropped the ball. Sami described this as a simple miscommunication. I would not describe the negligence and carelessness for our big life event as a simple miscommunication. If you want a venue that cares about your wedding as much as you do, this is NOT the place. I want to stress that everything stated below has been communicated to the Pinstripes staff and no one has taken ownership or cared to even call us to discuss our frustrations. - The main issue was the timing of the wedding. It clearly states in our contract (provided by Pinstripes) that we were going to be there at least till midnight, however the staff started to wrap things up around 11PM. The groom was brought away from the wedding to argue with the staff and the event planner on the phone about the things we agreed upon and were clearly stated and discussed in the contract. Being pulled into a heated discussion during the middle of my wedding was not something that I take lightly. - Another detail from the contract that was overlooked by the Pinstripes staff was that the midnight snack we discussed at our tasting and paid for was not delivered. - We were told that we would have our favorite drinks and a plate of the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres set in the bridal suite, but this wasn't done. Another empty promise to get us to sign the contract. - The bride's mom surprised the groom with a special cheesecake. We asked the staff about 4 times during dessert to have this put out however it was never done and we never received the cheesecake THAT WE BROUGHT. - Sami and Pam the regional manager left seemingly as soon as possible without checking in to see if anyone needed assistance or that we were happy with the room flip. Pam was never introduced to the bride and spent her time on a conference call and couldn't be bothered to help setup or assist. - The bride put a lot of time and effort into the details of the wedding and all items were provided to the staff - we even had our own guests ready to volunteer with the setup. We really wanted to fill the candelabras with lit candles, which is why we came with over 200 pink candles and instead of clarifying which candles to use, none of them were ever put out. Our guests offered to help, however the staff told them that they were done and its time to allow guests in. Its big disappointment to spend a lot of money on decor to create a vision that never comes to be all because of lack of communication. We understand that no big event is ever perfect and we expected there to be blips throughout the night. We did not expect that there would be so much overpromising and under delivering done by the restaurant and their events team.We did get a vague \"apology\" from Sami and a generic email inviting us to enjoy a free dinner on Pinstripes. It is a slap in the face to hear that a free dinner would be provided in lieu of having our WEDDING mishandled and causing stress throughout the night. Reviewed on 15-06-2021

She even took care to wait until the last possible second to put out our party favors (highly meltable smores, on an unanticipatedly hot day), which was much appreciated so guests didn't have a mess all over their plates. We had our reception on the bocce ball courts, and the twinkly lights all over the ceiling were such a dream. The large garage door windows were able to be opened, and the open air feel was so welcoming and fun. They even had the fire pit blocked off for us so that our guests could enjoy making smores! Jenna Hacker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-07-2017 We hosted our wedding at Pinstripes in July 2017 and we cannot say enough positive things about the entire experience! My husband and I are somewhat non-traditional and we wanted to find a venue that matched our laid back, yet still classy vision. We knew we didn’t want to have our wedding at the most traditional places like a banquet hall or country club. We wanted to find something more unique. At our first visit at Pinstripes, we knew that it was the place for us! Shortly after our visit, we contacted a Pinstripes event planner. Kati was extremely helpful throughout the entire planning process. Never having planned a wedding before, we had a ton of questions for her and she was always patient and thorough when responding to us and providing us guidance. She made sure to explain all of our options and gave us suggestions on things that had worked in the past. We appreciated the fact that she made the decision-making process easy. The day of the wedding, the space looked absolutely beautiful. It was set up perfectly for our event. We had 80 guests, which we were worried may not fill in the space appropriately, but it was more than perfect. They spaced the tables so that the space felt full, yet spacious. The weather was beautiful (we got lucky!) so we were able to have the garage doors open so people could move freely between the indoor and outdoor areas. We loved that there was something for everyone - dancing, bocce, a fire pit, etc. We also hosted our after party in the bowling alley, which was a blast! It was the perfect way to end the evening and all of our guests, from young to old, had a wonderful time.A couple of things to note: 1) We were extremely lucky with the weather in July in that it was a high of 78 degrees and sunny with no humidity. The days leading up to the event and the days that followed were hot, humid, muggy, and stormy. I can’t say the event would have been quite as amazing if the weather had not cooperated. I would imagine that it would be amazing in the fall, spring, or even winter as the doors can be closed. It was risky to plan an event in the summer given that the room does not have air conditioning. 2) The staff was extremely attentive and did an amazing job with the event, but there were a couple of moments when they were a bit more visible than we would have liked, such as talking loudly through the father of the bride speech, walking back and forth behind the maid of honor and best man as they did their speeches, and clinking glasses like crazy during our first dance. To be honest, I did not notice these things as they were happening, but some of our other guests were a bit annoyed.Other than these two things, I cannot recommend Pinstripes enough. It was a beautiful space that helped us execute the exact vision we had for our wedding. Thank you to Kati and the other staff members at Pinstripes who helped make our day so special! Lauren Martelli(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-09-2016 What a PERFECT location for our rehearsal dinner. With a strong Italian heritage on both sides of our family, we chose Pinstripes in part because we could rent a private room with bocce courts (bocce is a family pastime)) and also because dinner was served Italian-style. My husband and I are vegan, and the venue was extremely accommodating providing a special and DELICIOUS menu for us, while all of our guests said their traditional dishes were amazing as well. Noelle Spayer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2016 Rehearsal Dinner - October 7th 2016We could NOT have made a better choice having our rehearsal dinner at Pinstripes in early October! Helen Tsilora was so attentive & made this part of the wedding process a breeze! The space itself is fantastic! Conveniently located from the highway, plenty of parking, situated on land adjacent to some really pretty \"grasslands.\" Inside is open, airy, clean - all games are downstairs and we had our family-style dinner upstairs in a private room for about 50 folks. There's also a really lovely bar area downstairs and an outdoor firepit patio. The staff were SO HELPFUL. They were very attentive without being overbearing, everything flowed very naturally. The appetizers and cocktails started first in the upstairs main area before we sat down for dinner, a family-style arrangement that worked SO well. Everyone RAVED over the food - we honestly chose Pinstripes for the venue and gaming options and were hoping for the best with food, but were BLOWN AWAY - the food was way better than we ever anticipated, gave our next-day-wedding catering a total run for its money! Our guests continued to talk about how good the food was, the salmon dish was especially enjoyed! They packed up leftovers at the end that fed my inlaws for the next WEEK! :)After dinner and drinks upstairs with our full group, we headed downstairs for bowling & bocce. We rented 1 bocce and 2 bowling lanes, which ended up being plenty since folks take turns and dont seem to stay in their full games anyhow. So many fantastic distractions like excellent drinks and the desserts were served with games! An unknown perk, there was a saxophone player there playing in the bar area near the bocce courts that added such a extra touch of class - many of our kiddos and older couples even got up to dance. It was such a great bonus! Totally distracted with all the fun, as the night ended the staff packed up the upstairs room back into our bags and left everything conveniently downstairs for us to simply snag on our way out! They never bothered us and were so professional, always letting us know the next step and ever so friendly! I really cant say enough about the banquet staff - we had a family member who decided to \"surprise\" the family by showing up with his un-rsvp'd wife & 3 toddlers (gasp!)....to an otherwise adult and 12+ event. TOTALLY threw us off but the staff sprang into action and set up a tiny table with highchairs and allowed them for dinner. As a former server in life, I would have expected some natural backlash or at least an eye-roll, but the staff were so friendly & attentive about the situation - what a relief! Overall - GREAT food, GREAT games, GREAT staff and really for a great price overall. For about 50 folks, mostly out of towners, it was the perfect, fun, laid-back but family-centered way to kick off our wedding weekend! Helen is a great communicator and made sure everything went smoothly. It was a perfect night! THANK YOU!!!! Reviewed on 03-11-2016
Hannah Babchak(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-10-2016 Pinstripes was incredibly wonderful to work with. From the beginning, we knew we didn't want a ballroom wedding that looked like every other wedding; we wanted fun, unique, and memorable. As soon as we saw Pinstripes, we couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else - it was the perfect combination of sophistication and fun. We had our whole wedding here: ceremony, reception, and after-party. Helen was our coordinator, and she worked with us for 10 months to make our night perfect. Our ceremony was outside in the yard - perfect seating for 120 people. Pinstripes set up the chairs just as we wanted, and provided us with wine barrels as tables for our \"altar\" and for our programs. They also offered fuzzy blankets to our guests, since it was a little chilly outside. We were responsible for setting up our arbor and other outdoor decorations (shepherds hooks with paper lanterns, flowers, lights, etc.) the morning of the wedding. We took our pictures off-site and arrived at Pinstripes about 30 minutes before the ceremony. Pinstripes had set up a private room off the reception space for the bridal party to relax and get ready in. When it came time for the ceremony, the only (small) things missing were a lighter (so we could light memorial candles) and the beer for our unity ceremony (which our ushers ended up grabbing from the bar and bringing to us when it came time). Cocktail hour was inside by the bocce courts, and our guests had so much fun! We had a few drinks passed by servers so people could get something without waiting in line at the bar, and our guests enjoyed playing bocce ball and socializing in a more casual space. Pinstripes provided table linens, candles, and set up an appetizer station. There happened to be a live musician that night as well, so he provided background music for us. The dinner and reception took place on the patio, and it was AMAZING. We had dropped off our decorations the night before, and Helen and her team set everything up perfectly. It was better than we had ever imagined! We paid the maintenance team a bit extra to hang lanterns and lights from the ceiling, which truly made all the difference. The food was incredible, the service was wonderful, and everything went perfectly. The waitstaff were quick, kind, helpful, and very professional; they made sure we and our guests had everything we needed. They even noticed that we forgot to bring our cake topper, and double checked with us to make sure they hadn't lost it! At the end of the reception (11pm), we moved to the other side of the building for our after-party and bowling, and the servers helped us move our dessert trays so we could keep snacking and made sure we were all settled before going back to clean up the reception. All in all, we could not have asked for a better experience with Pinstripes, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun and unique wedding venue. Reviewed on 25-10-2016

I came to Pinstripes for the atmosphere - trendy, fun, unique ... they have a stunning outdoor location with the perfect backdrop for scenic pictures. The food is phenomenal, still to this day people compliment me on the food and how full they were, the abundance of choices for GF, Vegetarian and Vegan is out of this world. The staff literally waited on my every need all night long making sure that I was happy with service, that I had a chance to eat and even bagged up left overs for my husband and I to snack on the next day. And Helen, I cannot say enough kind words about Helen. I came to Helen with a somewhat undefined vision of what I wanted this day to look like, I provided her with the decor and she made it come to life, painstakingly pushing paper hearts into the ground for what I imagine must have been hours. Working with Stacey throughout the process was a breeze as well. She always made you feel calm and made sure she understood you.I cannot count how many times I emailed her questions/ideas or how many times I ran over there on my lunch break to meet her for 5 minutes and confirm a few things. She was always there for me and ready to answer my questions either via email or in person! Then, the week of the wedding came and Stacey made sure we went over every single little detail from the surprise grooms cake to how the guest tables were supposed to look. I then dropped off all of my decorations two days prior to the wedding and went over everything with Stacey one more time. Stacey was there for us for our rehearsal as she knew I was nervous and had some questions. With her help, we ran through it a few times and I felt even more confident than before! Then, the big day finally came! When I arrived around 1pm (5:30pm ceremony), just about everything was set up and look absolutely stunning!! I was so speechless as everything looked exactly how I wanted! When the time came, Stacey helped with getting everyone down the aisle in a timely manner.Cocktail hour started immediately after the ceremony and was a huge hit! Right after that, we moved to the outdoor bocce courts where the rest of the night would continue on!The food was absolutely amazing! Family style is the way to go! I also have to compliment our server we had at the head table as he was always making sure we had our drinks full, even after dinner and during the dancing! I cannot remember his name for sure, but the name Mike is sounding familiar. After countless glasses dropped on the dance floor and the amazing staff taking care of it immediately every time, we then moved on to our bowling after party!! This was such an awesome experience. We had late night snacks and bowling for those who wanted to continue on celebrating with us.One super minor issue that won't kill any of these stars is that I heard from some guests that the beer that was replenished at cocktail hour was a little warm.Other than that, I cannot tell you how many compliments I got on the food and the venue.Thank you SO much Pinstripes, Stacey, and your amazing staff! Kelly Hume(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-07-2014 Pinstripes Northbrook was the absolute perfect place to have our wedding reception. The service, food, drink, and above all events coordinator, where truly top notch. They really made it the wedding of my dreams, while taking care of our guests as if it were their own wedding.\rGuests have raved about the service, beauty of the outdoor patio, and amount of activities available. EVERYONE had fun doing what they chose: bocce ball, hanging by the firepit, dancing, talking at tables, or playing bags on the lawn. There was so much to do and time went so quickly- my friends from out of town asked if we could meet up at Pinstripes for our yearly reunion!\rI really cannot say enough about Lisa and her team. She made me feel at ease from day one. She knew exactly what I wanted when I described my vision- and even explained it better than me when meeting with different vendors! The decor turned out perfect. It was breathtaking. She really is the best.\rPinstripes has always been sentimental for us, because that is where we had our first date, but it turned out to be the best wedding venue. Whitney McClung(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-07-2014 I recently had my reception at the Pinstripes in Northbrook. My husband and I still have friends and relatives comment on the relaxed, yet beautiful venue. The food was wonderful, and the service was attentive and genuine. \r\rI was especially impressed with the staff during the planning process. My planner went out of her way to accommodate my schedule, and she was thorough and patient with my huge list of concerns and questions. \r\rThe icing on the cake was their last minute flexibility. The day before my event, my husband and I decided to request that the staff move our event indoors instead of setting up our dinner at the previously agreed upon outdoor space due to the possibility of severe storms. The planner had already been watching the weather, and had placed the indoor space on hold the previous week. On the day of the event we were able to still have our cocktail hour outdoors, and move inside for the dinner before the storms took place. I was impressed their enthusiasm, and preparedness. \r\rIf you are seeking a playful, yet beautiful space with outstanding service, food and management, I would absolutely recommend Pinstripes. Kimberly Sheehy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-10-2013 I can already tell that this review is going to be long, so the gist of what I want to say is that Pinstripes is an EXCELLENT choice for a wedding or any other event!! \r\rI had my wedding at the Northbrook, IL Pinstripes location on October 26 and it was absolutely perfect! When searching for the perfect venue, I fell in love with Pinstripe's unique and fun atmosphere, it fit my and my husband's personalities so well. When I told my family, who had never heard of Pinstripes, they were very skeptical of me having my wedding at a \"bowling alley.\" However, once they saw the place, they knew we had made an excellent choice. \r\rI worked with Angie Gill to coordinate both my ceremony and reception at Pinstripes, and she was so amazing. She was always very kind and courteous and always available to answer any/every question I had for her. A lot of the time throughout wedding planning, I felt clueless about what I should be doing, but Angie always knew exactly what questions to ask and was such a great help in making my wedding all come together perfectly. When we went in for our complimentary tasting to pick our menu for the wedding, they gave us boatloads of food and even threw in a few of their favorite extra menu items that we didn't choose. The food was so incredibly delicious, and we got to take home the leftovers! \r\rOn the big day, I went over to Pinstripes in the morning to make sure everything was being set up how I wanted. Angie and the manager were there ready to help. They had some tables with table cloths that I wasn't wild about so I asked if they could switch them out with these gorgeous tables they had in the lobby. They did it with no questions asked right then. They let me use wine barrels, easels, AV equipment, whatever I needed at no extra charge! \r\rAt the wedding, the food was delicious (again, as expected). Guests kept coming up to me and telling me that it was the best wedding food they had ever had! They also raved about the venue in general, saying how neat of a place it was and how much they loved it. \r\rWe had a 4-hour open bar package and then told them to keep the bar open on our tab after that. This is where the only issue occurred. Towards the end of the night, I couldn't find a bartender. When I went out to the lobby to find someone, the bartender said he didn't want to stand behind the bar anymore because there were a couple of guests he wanted to cut-off. I don't recall anybody being too drunk or getting too crazy, so that sort of bothered me. But, we got the bar back open and it all worked out in the end. \r\rAll in all, I absolutely loved Pinstripes and very highly recommend it to anyone who wants an amazing wedding! She was great. The rest of the staff was great also. Always smiling and extremely helpful. The food was fantastic and my guests called/texted me days after our reception about how great the food and drinks were. They also loved the unique location. Banquet halls can be such a bore and the food at the places are usually snooze worthy. If you are currently looking for a wedding venue, do not hesitate to choose Pinstripes! Robin Stoner(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2012 I highly recommend Pinstripes for any party, anytime, any reason, big or small! Our wedding was in June 2012, and we still receive compliments on our wedding reception at Pinstripes in South Barrington! \r\rWe knew that Pinstripes was the perfect venue for us the minute we walked in and met all the wonderful people who work there. Laura and Jackie, our event specialists, were absolutely wonderful and a pleasure to work with from start to finish; they went above and well beyond our expectations! Since we only had 4 months to plan our wedding for 205 guests, I really appreciated their great communication and organization skills as well as overall expertise. During the planning period, my questions and requests were addressed very quickly by email or phone. Somehow, someone always seemed to be available if we stopped by with our florist or needed to see the space. I believe that there were no surprises on the day of our wedding because of the high level of professionalism and extraordinary customer service at Pinstripes. \r\rThere was A LOT of DELICIOUS food (family style was a hit, and so were the braised short ribs and salmon), craft beer, cocktails, wine, and fun. No one went hungry that night! Dietary requests were easily met for those who were vegetarians, gluten-free, had allergies, or were kids. The servers and bartenders at Pinstripes are really good at what they do; drinks and food was served quickly and our guests were very impressed. Jackie and Scott, the bar manager, were perfectly attentive to my husband and I throughout the night and we never had to search for a drink or answer to a question. The evening began with a cocktail hour in the outside bocce area, and there was a beautiful display of appetizers and cocktails ready for the taking once guests entered the area. We loved that we found a place that allowed us to have a mostly outside wedding reception and dinner inside with air conditioning. A great plan in the event of rain was created but we didn't need it. Since my husband and I are bowlers, an on-site post party in the bowling alley was a must (and a hit for all ages)! It was easy to set up a shuttle with the nearby Hampton Inn for our overnight guests. Finally, it should be mentioned that we found Pinstripes to be an extremely good value. We were very happy that we were able to select everything we wanted without having to worry if it would put us over budget. \r\rMy husband and I have often talked about how Pinstripes was the perfect fit for our wedding reception. Everyone in our bridal party, including our parents, was extremely happy with their experience at Pinstripes. We will forever thank Jackie, Laura, Scott, the chef/kitchen and ALL the staff at the Pinstripes in South Barrington for a wonderful experience, fabulous evenings, and many beautiful memories! Something different from the traditional reception, but still had the feel of a gorgeous and elegent wedding which we wanted. Tania, our lead coordinator could not have been more loving, open, and understanding to our needs. We did not have a lot of money, but enough to try and capture all the things we needed. We had a 2 hour happy hour before dinner and dancing. It was amazing. All the guest got to bowl, bocce, drink and eat. The lay out of all the rooms makes its extremely comfortable and the patio puts it over the top. Again, who bowls at a wedding? But it was a combination of fun and beauty. The place is really top notch. Tania understood our budget, and worked with us, even helping out here and there to what we could afford. The food was again unique and delicious. From the appitizers, to the family style dinner, the food was amazing and we were able to order as much or as little as we needed. A large kudos to the wait staff. We were very concerned with having 180 guests happy. But the kids (and I say this bc most were between 17-25) were nothing short or perfection. Walking around with wine, beers, cocktails, and always attentive to the main married couple. I literally had my own server that was around every ten minutes as well as my wife. The kids were even better than other wait staff bc they were punctual, swift, and polite. We cannot say enough about the venue, the room, and the entire upstairs itself. Literally hit on all levels and I completely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a change of pace from the traditional wedding. Bc you receive all that and more with this place. Josh Klinzing(groom)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-03-2013 We worked with Tania at Pinstripes Oakbrook for a reception after an out-of-country wedding. Once booked, they were very flexible with the timing of getting all the details set. That was OK with us, and we ended up with a great party. We rented 2/3 of the banquet room and also the bocce courts on the 2nd level so our party could use the veranda, bocce courts, dance floor, and tables for dinner.\r\rWe had a hiccup with the projector, as the connection to my laptop to show pictures was not working. However, Scott and the team at Pinstripes spent over an hour and went to great lengths to get it working. Scott made sure that the night went well and everyone was happy. Moses and his crew did a great job keeping everyone fed and the drinks flowing. At the end of the night, he and the staff all came up to me to get feedback and wish us congratulations. That was a very nice touch.\r\rThe food was great - we did a family-style dinner with the veg and shells (great), jambalaya risotto (awesome), short ribs (awesome), and salmon (overcooked, but flavor combination was good). We ordered 3 special desserts for people, and Pinstripes executed well. A few people showed up late during dinner, and they brought out fresh plates of the food upon request with no problem.\r\rThey listened, made some good suggestions, and helped us have a great time. Gina Wentzel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-06-2013 My husband and I had our wedding reception at Pinstripes in Oak Brook, IL on June 1, 2013. We actually met with Laura, our event coordinator, before this location was even fully built. Laura gave us all the information we needed and more, so we felt entirely comfortable booking without even seeing the final construction. Laura made the process easy from beginning to end. She was very professional, flexible, and responsive, which was a huge plus for me. Laura always took the time to respond to my (many!) emails, which I greatly appreciated. Ultimately, I don't think the planning process could've gone any better! \r\rNow, on to the wedding day... I was absolutely amazed at how wonderful Pinstripes set up the space for our wedding. We had the banquet hall on the second floor, as well as the outdoor bocce courts reserved. It ended up raining so they set us up on the indoor lanes at the beginning of the evening which was perfect, as I hadn't even thought to ask what we'd do if it rained. We were able to use the outdoor space still, once the furniture and bocce lanes dried off a bit! Pinstripes made it a smooth transition and I didn't even have to ask about it! Cocktail hour was great and we had a full open bar all evening, which was nice.\r\rDinner was wonderful. We were amazed at how much food they brought out and we heard nothing but positive comments from our guests, raving about both the food and the service. The servers were all incredibly attentive and always made sure we had what we needed. There were a couple of points that they went above and beyond for... a week or two before the wedding, I contacted Laura and mentioned that my sister had learned she had some food allergies. Laura coordinated with me to get an individual meal for her, including a separate gluten-free dessert. I really appreciated the flexibility and I know my sister did, too. Also, one of our guests had an easier time sitting in a chair with arms, rather than the typical banquet hall chairs. No one made a big deal about it, but I noticed they brought our guest a comfortable chair with arms and set it up at his table. I was amazed at how thoughtful and accommodating they were! \r\rThe only negative thing I can say is that they misspelled my name on the board near the entrance that instructed our guests where to go. It wasn't a big deal to me though, considering I didn't even notice it until I saw a picture the next day that one of my guests took. Considering they did such an awesome job with the whole event and planning process and got every other planned detail right, they could've left my name off the board altogether and it wouldn't have mattered to me. :)\r\rOverall, I'd highly recommend Pinstripes to any bride looking for a non-traditional venue. If you don't want to go to a standard banquet hall but are still looking for a dinner and dancing reception with a little fun mixed in, this is the place for you! Having the bocce lanes and outdoor space available was perfect for anyone who didn't want to dance, wanted to chat, or just needed fresh air. The venue is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff are outstanding. You won't be disappointed! Reviewed on 08-07-2013
Courtney Johnson(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-05-2013 We worked with Laura at the new Pinstripes location in Oak Brook, IL. Our wedding was approximately 90 people (originally estimated 130-ish) and we had a $10,000 minimum (including gaming!). It was very affordable compared to a lot of the other venues in the area that we were looking at of a similar set-up: On-site Catering, Alcohol service, lots of nearby amenities for out-of-towners, with a wedding consultant. Laura made several helpful suggestions of local vendors, but we were also allowed to work outside of their vendor list (other than catering) which was great.\r\rWe were able to drop off our table decorations the day before and Laura and her team executed and placed them perfectly! The banquet room was lovely and the patio area was really nice to have as an alternative option (and nice to cozy up the fire on a cool May night with a blanket provided by the venue). We rented 8 lanes of bowling for 3 hours, which our guests seemed to really enjoy the change of pace for a wedding. A lot of people were surprised at how classy Pinstripes had made the restaurant-bowling experience! They also seemed to enjoy having an alternative to dancing. Also, the food was very tasty! One of the few regrets is that we didn't warn people that a ton of food was coming their way with a menu for the tables. I highly recommend this for anyone who books with this venue!\r\rThe only hick-ups we had with the venue were that they misspelled my new husband's last name on the welcome board (after I corrected the wedding consultant about this a few days prior in an email) and the waiters/kitchen totally botched the timing of the vegetarian entree delivery. They didn't bring it our until after I complained about it... twice... and after they were setting out the dessert course. According to the venue, one server spoke with one of our vegetarian guests (who was actually our only vegan guest) who requested something different than the vegetarian option, and then assumed that because of this one conversation that none of the other vegetarians wanted their alternative meals. Honestly, it seemed like they over-reduced the staff after they received our final numbers, so I can understand the confusion in a rush. Other than dinner, the servers seemed quick to attend to cleaning up dirty plates from appetizers, our nacho bar late-night snack and refilling new drinks for people.\r\rAll in all we had a great time and were really happy with our choice. I would definitely recommend this venue to other people. Reviewed on 04-06-2013
