Megan Brennan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-10-2021 Working with the Pioneer Park Pavilion for our wedding was great! We got married in October of 2021 and the staff was all kind, friendly, and informative. Their COVID policies were very clear which was so nice for planning a pandemic wedding. Our event went very smoothly in a beautiful venue. The space is a perfect canvas for whatever your theme is, our’s was PNW rustic so we loved the exposed wooden beams. Reviewed on 25-11-2021

courtney abbott(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-09-2015 I am not from the area but when looking for venues for my September wedding, the Pioneer Park Pavilion took the cake. I wanted a venue that was outdoors but had an indoor reception area. While we didn't end up having the ceremony outside in the park due to weather, there's a great stage and large grassy area that you can rent out per hour for the ceremony, a patio off of the pavilion for your cocktail hour, and the great pavilion for your reception. The park is well maintained and boasts gorgeous hanging baskets of flowers in the late summer/fall which add a lot to the patio area and walkways in the park.\r\rI was most attracted to it when we first visited because of the beautiful exposed beams, huge garage-style glass wall windows all the way around it, and the fact that it was affordable. The venue itself is very spacious, and the management was very lenient with allowing customers to arrange their own catering, bartending, and other services which most venues put restrictions on. With a guest count of over 250 people, I opted to have family bring all the food as well as bar beverages, and the venue was completely fine with that so that was a big deal for me. They also have linens, dishes, and other supplies you can rent directly from them for an additional fee which could make the rental process much easier than finding a third party. I actually had a family friend help us with all our rentals from another company so we didn't use the pavilion's rentals but it's great they offer that option.\r\rThe manager is very helpful and available to answer questions at any time leading up to the big day - I had many and contacted him several times. The staff there also provides and sets up all the tables, chairs, staging, and sound equipment necessary for your big day at no additional cost, and their time spent setting up doesn't count towards your reserved time which was great. \r\rI'm really happy that we chose this venue for our wedding and I would highly recommend it to others looking for a beautiful, contemporary area for their special event as well. \r\r Reviewed on 07-10-2015
Alyssa Arias(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2015 Having a wine-themed wedding with an industrial feel was our goal. We also wanted to be close to our family homes and within a reasonable budget. Pioneer Park was perfect! Dick was so accommodating and made our planning so simple. In fact, we only had to go down once for a walk-through and any changes we needed afterwards could be easily made over email. My husband actually chose the venue before I had ever seen it! He made a great decision! I also had looked back at prior reviews, always recommending the people that work here. Having our wedding in August was also great because the venue already looks beautiful with large hanging flower baskets all around. We had the ceremony outside and the reception inside. It was absolutely perfect. Those working the day of made everything so fluid and simple. We could not have found a better venue with better value. The venue really fit us as a couple as well. You are able to dress it up as much or as little as you would like! Highly recommend! Reviewed on 07-09-2015
Nicci Larson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-03-2014 We attended a summer wedding at the Pavilion a few years ago and really enjoyed the look and feel of the venue so when planning our own wedding it was natural to look at the Pavilion as a potential! I'm so glad we did because it was amazing, our wedding was two weeks ago and the open floor plan and the ample space allowed us to have both our ceremony and reception in one space without having to create a reception style ceremony. The venue contact was also amazing and was incredibly helpful through all my type A questions and concerns. I don't think I could be happier in our choice. Thank you Pioneer Park Pavilion!! Emily Cockle(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-12-2012 My husband and I are from Puyallup and knew the Pioneer Park Pavilion would be perfect for our winter wedding! We had a 300 guest wedding, so it was perfect because it has so much space for everything. Eating, dancing, bar, cake and gift tables, plus decorations all fit perfectly in the venue, and with such a huge wedding too! We loved it for our winter wedding because it lights up at night with Christmas lights and snowflakes! Very festive! Plus the people who run the pavilion are very easy to work with and plan around. They are very accommodating to what you like and don't have many restrictions. Like most venues you have to get some permits for things like alcohol, candles, and whatnot, but it's nothing hard. Carli Nixon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-08-2012 The venue is gorgeous! The only thing that can add up is renting their linens & finding your own caterer. People say it's cheaper if you don't have to use a venue's caterer or alcohol, but I'm not sure that's true! The venue is cheaper on Fridays & Sundays. Reviewed on 21-08-2012
Emily Voorhies(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-07-2012 After much searching for a venue that allows the party to continue past 10pm, did not have a restrictive list of required vendors for catering, etc., allowed you to bring your own alcohol in, and was beautiful without much decorations we finally found it at the Pioneer Park Pavilion! And to top it off the manager, Sarah Harris, was an absolute delight to work with; she was professional, kind, proactive, and helpful! My only suggestion if you choose to have a Saturday wedding when the farmers market is in season, as we did, be sure you have an extremely competent set up team because there is a very small window of time (4:00-whenever your event starts) to get everything perfect. \r\rOverall, the Pioneer Park Pavilion is terrific and affordable venue to have your wedding reception at and I highly recommend considering this as an option for your reception venue. Kelsey Melvin(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2011 I was very excited to book the Pavilion for my wedding, which I did at least a year and a half in advance. It is inexpensive in comparison to other locations in western WA, yet is absolutely beautiful. I was very pleased with the cleanliness, allowance to use whatever caterers we wanted, and kindness of the staff who helping DURING the event. 3 weeks prior to my wedding, I received a phone call from the individual in charge of booking. She had double-booked another wedding, which she said would be occuring outdoors (mine was indoors). I was absolutely appalled that they would even consider asking me about this. NOBODY wants to share their special day with another Bride. Not to mention, these individuals were told they could come at 3:30 when I couldn't come until 4. After weeks of discussing these concerns, I was told these individuals would go elsewhere. After this, we were treated very rudely. We have yet to receive our damage deposit back and have been accidentally charged twice. While the wedding was beautiful, I was very upset with the service I received prior to my wedding day.
