Ryan and I want to share our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation for the extraordinary experience we had at the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ. Our wedding day, held at this remarkable venue in September 2023, was not just a day we will remember for the rest of our lives; it was a day that exceeded our wildest dreams in every possible way. From the moment we first laid eyes on the Pleasantdale Chateau, we were enchanted by its sheer beauty. The venue's idyllic surroundings, from the manicured gardens to the enchanting architecture, provided an unparalleled backdrop that felt like something out of a fairy tale. It was love at first sight and reminiscent of our engagement trip to Europe. The team at Pleasantdale Chateau demonstrated a level of service that was truly second to none. We want to give a personal shout out to Fred, Tori, Santiago, Bryan, Dawn and our bridal attendants: Michelle, Ang.Every member showcased a high degree of courtesy and attentiveness. It was evident that they were not only exceptionally skilled but also genuinely passionate about their roles, ensuring that every guest had a memorable experience. From our very first inquiry to the final moments of our wedding day, they displayed professionalism, warmth, and a dedication to making our day exceptional. Their attention to detail and their ability to put us at ease throughout the planning process was truly remarkable. This level of personalized service made us feel like cherished guests, and it's a testament to the staff's commitment to going above and beyond. The food served at our wedding was a culinary masterpiece. All of guests COULD NOT stop talking about the food, especially the cocktail hour. Until this day, our guests are still talking about the food and how it does not compare to other weddings they’ve been to. Fred Fogg and his team included our favorite pasta dish - cacio pepe which our guests went crazy over. With my Filipino background, they also included a roasted pig which also was a hit. Every bite was a masterpiece. Period. We should also mention the alcohol selection was top notch. Our signature cocktails were a hit. The bar service was impeccable, and our guests were thoroughly impressed by the variety and quality of libations. The after-wedding breakfast was a delightful continuation of our celebration. It allowed us to spend more time with our closest family and friends in a relaxed and intimate setting. The accommodations at Pleasantdale Chateau were nothing short of luxurious. Our bridal suite was beautifully appointed, providing a spacious and elegant setting for us to relax and prepare for our big day. The room was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail in its design and furnishings was apparent. Our guests were equally impressed with their rooms. The Chateau's rooms were a blend of classic elegance and modern convenience, offering a perfect balance of comfort and style. The staff ensured that our guests were well taken care of and had everything they needed for a comfortable stay.We are incredibly grateful to the entire team at the Pleasantdale Chateau for their exceptional service and unwavering commitment to making our wedding day a dream come true. They have set a standard of excellence that is second to none, and we wholeheartedly recommend this venue to any couple looking to create a wedding day filled with beauty, perfection, and heartfelt moments. Thank you again to Fred, Tori, Santiago, Bryan, Dawn and our bridal attendants: Michelle, Ang and the rest of the team at Pleasantdale Chateau for making our wedding day an absolutely extraordinary and unforgettable experience. To say Pleasantdale Chateau did an incredible job the entire day/night of our wedding would be an understatement. It was the first venue we visited in our search, and ironically could have been our first and last. From two people who had a very specific vision in terms of aesthetics, food, music selection, and \"party\" expectations, we were absolutely floored at the product Fred Fogg and his team at Fred Fogg Productions delivered. Our band/DJ (Heart&Soul) read the room perfectly and expanded well beyond our \"must play\" reception songs. The DJ/Live Band dynamic flowed seamlessy throughout the night. They even played a special honorary song for my late-grandfather. The food was spectacular, florals were stunning and exactly what was envisioned, with the perfect moody/romantic ambience to match. Our photographer (Leandro Da Silva) captured all of the beautiful moments we hoped to cherish forever. All of the bridal party assistants were top tier (shoutout to Michelle who I felt like was my best friend by the end of the night. Was by my side from the time I arrived up until the after-party). Suzie and Fred were extremely kind, professional, and responsive to our needs and concerns every step of the way, and the entire day during the event. Regarding the day-of PC staff, there were too many to name, but numerous guests mentioned the delivery of food, drinks, and service being flawless. Lastly, no party would be complete without Brian and Santiago. These two are absolutely perfect at their jobs. We've never experienced such attention to detail during a reception and both of them made our wedding a dream come true. The venue itself is of course beautiful and timeless, and also has all of the conveniences we've come to love at weddings. I.e. Bride and Groom suites on site for getting ready, gorgeous ceremony options (both indoor and outdoor), numerous bars, many bathrooms, and an after-party area on site (with optional food trucks!), to name a few. We've heard from just about all of our friends and family that it was the best wedding they've ever been to, and people are still talking about it weeks after the fact. We wish we could run it back every year, and are so thrilled and blessed to have it as a forever memory. Pleasantdale Chateau is the only place we'd recommend for a wedding in New Jersey, and we hope to be back soon!Best night of our lives.L&D Reviewed on 03-11-2023

We can't say enough about our exceptional experience at this wedding venue. As foodies, my husband and I had that at the top of our priority list…and let me tell you it was nothing short of amazing. Every single item blew us and all of our guests out of the water. Seriously everyone could not stop raving about it, saying it was the best food they’ve ever had. It even exceeded my expectations, as I’ve never been to a wedding or event where I did not have single critique or complaint about a dish. The venue itself was a dream, a stunning and gorgeous backdrop for our special day. Tucked away in the little town of West Orange, it’s very unassuming at first…but as you drive in you feel that you’ve been transported to a gorgeous little getaway. You definitely don’t feel like you’re in NJ anymore! The second priority was the service and we wanted to find a venue that paid attention to detail, deliver exceptional service, and could ensure the day went smoothly. Pleasantdale achieved just that. The service and staff were impeccable, and anything we or our guests needed was taken care of. A special shout out goes to my bridal attendant, Liz, who went above and beyond to keep me calm, happy, and assist me with every single thing I needed (and I mean EVERYTHING) throughout the day. She even went as far as to keep me cool by fanning me with an electric fan in between all my pictures. She helped bustle my dress, put on my veil, helped hold my train the entire day and carried my touch up makeup and cellphone throughout the day. I needed to change into sneakers and she found my socks from my luggage upstairs in a split second. I don’t know how she does it but she is a superwoman!!! The day truly would not have been the same or run as smoothly without her. I really missed having her by my side when the day was over LOL. Lastly, we worked with Fred, who was our dedicated planner/ coordinator. He was so helpful every step of the way…from when we first toured the venue, to curating our food menu and even working with all our vendors to ensure everything was perfect for the big day. He was always quick to answer my messages and always had our best interests in mind…making sure we were happy and well taken care of. As a bride, there's often a lot to be stressed about, and a lot of details and logistics to figure out. But in working with Fred, I instantly felt at ease because I was confident that he would be able to take care of it all. (Which is extremely important because the last thing you want is to be stressing out on your wedding day). The entire Pleasantdale staff and service was truly exceptional, and unlike any experience I've had before. It allowed me to stay present, have fun, and create lasting memories for a lifetime. I’m still reminiscing about our wedding day and how perfect it truly was. Thank you Pleasantdale and everyone involved who helped make our big day so so special!!! Reviewed on 03-11-2023

Words can not describe how happy my husband and I are that we celebrated our wedding at the Pleasantdale. The venue, staff and food was impeccable and flawless. Our guests could not say enough positive things about the day! We were so impressed with how professional and kind the staff was. They take so much pride in what they do and it shows! They really made the wedding day run flawlessly. We felt like royalty the entire day! The grounds are so rich with history and so well maintained, it’s truly a fairy tale. TLDR: We have toured 50+ venues until we saw and fell in love with Pleasantdale. Get married there!! Our wedding at Pleasantdale was perfect from start to finish - beyond our wildest dreams. We were treated like celebrities. Months later we still get texts and calls from guests (as well as people who didn’t attend but heard about it) raving about the best wedding they’ve ever been to. My husband’s grandma can’t stop talking about our wedding and calls it one of the best events in her entire life. The venue is breathtaking inside and out, from the rustic chateau to the all encompassing grounds for any wedding theme imaginable (water/pool, forest, rustic, greenhouse, fairytale, etc) - you won’t run out of photo ops. As someone who toured over 50 wedding venues I truly hope this review will save you some time and pain.We got married at Pleasantdale this spring. And every day since I wish I could go back to that day. If I have to name 5 best decisions of my entire life - choosing Pleasantdale was definitely one of them. I do really wish we saw Pleasantdale first or only saw Pleasantdale (for obvious reasons) because it checked all the boxes (year-round gorgeous grounds, a charming rustic European/American golden age chateau, fairytale wedding ceremony options - both indoors and outdoors, raving reviews/reputation, INCREDIBLE food (cocktails AND entrees), and most importantly, the BEST team/family you’d ever work with). We saw venues across Long Island, NYC, NJ & CT prior to Pleasantdale (it was a long difficult, painful 7-month journey). See photo proof of wedding brochures collected along the way. Had we seen Pleasantdale first it would have saved us the 50 trips touring other wedding venues. If you do the math, it’s a minimum 1-2 hours getting to/from venues, then about 1 hour at each venue. 50x that… I don’t think I could fully articulate the pain. From saying yes to Pleasantdale to our wedding day it was just shy of 4 months. We were so blessed to work with the nicest, most talented, most professional people who love what they do and are passionate about making the day the perfect day for every couple. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Fred (the venue manager) who was a miracle worker. Without him we wouldn’t have had this wedding, and most definitely not a wedding at all because any sane person would have given up after seeing so many places and feeling let down. Fred is basically someone I could trust my life with. From day one Fred gets it, makes it happen, and has this rare natural ability to make anyone feel at ease (I was a hot mess) because he’s already got the flawless wedding figured out! A breeze to work with, Fred was honest, patient, and took great care of us.Santiago, Santiago, Santiago. How much more can I love you? Santiago was our Maître d. Boy did he know how to throw a party! Santiago knew what we liked before we even did. His passion and dedication to the couples is his secret sauce.Tori (the banquet captain AND best wedding advisor) was kind and supportive from the moment I met her. She had a great eye for things. I trusted Tori’s taste way more than my own. The day of our wedding Tori checked on us throughout the day making sure we were well taken care of and having the best time. Tori also worked her magic, along with Bryant, to make the day run as smoothly as it did. Everyone, RUNNNNNN to Pleasantdale and book your wedding there!!! Reviewed on 04-07-2023

We had our wedding at the Pleasantdale Chateau last weekend and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The place itself is already beautiful and the staff were all fantastic and beyond expectations. From meeting with Fred who madeus feel comfortable when we first went to see the venue, with Dawn helping with making sure we were all on the same page on the day of the wedding, Santiago who honestly is the main reason the whole day ran so smoothly, to Bryant and his staff making sure the reception ran beautifully (also the food was fantastic- my guests couldn’t stop talking about it), Anjalie who was my husband’s attendant and made sure him and the groomsmen were taken care of, and last but most importantly Lizbeth. Lizbeth was the highlight of my wedding day, she was a BIG help, and I can’t express how much my bridal party, my family, and myself appreciated her for all she did for us on my wedding day. She is truly the BEST. My guests and family had a great time and please if you’re looking for a wedding venue to exceed your expectations for your wedding. Have it at the Pleasantdale Chateau! If you want the most perfect, amazing, stress free wedding day - have your wedding at the Pleasantdale Chateau. From day 1 of simply touring the chateau we were speechless. All the planning, every single person we came into contact with was better than the next. Our wedding day was the best day of our lives, everything we wanted and more and because of the amazing staff we were able to enjoy every second with no worries. There was not a detail out of place, the staff at Pleasantdale will leave you speechless. Special shout-out to Fred, his daughter, Santiago, Dawn, Beatrice, Angelique (and soooo many more) for going above and beyond from day one all the way til we packed our cars and drove off the next day. The food? Never had better. Guests having been raving about our wedding from the staff to the food to the decor & ambiance since they stepped foot on the grounds. From when Fred first takes you through the grounds, to your meeting with Santiago and Bryant, all the way up to the day itself, you are in great hands. Dawn and Hilda kept in contact with us all the way leading up to the wedding, never letting us feel out of the loop. On the day of the wedding Tori and our two attendants Anjalie and Melissa were so attentive, helpful, and on top of everything. We honestly don't think we could have survived the day without them. Both our families, our bridal party, and all of our guests were beyond taken care of. It was the foundation that we built our whole wedding plan around, the big hitter in our lineup, the center of our wedding solar system. The venue's reputation speaks for itself, but a few quick highlights from us. The location is incredible, you essentially have an entire estate to yourself. The building is beautiful and unique. With fireplaces, a green room, a pool, a game room, etc. The food is delicious and the chef is extremely versatile, anything we could think of the Chateau was able to include in our cocktail hour. Finally, the service was spectacular. You will not find a more professional, top-of the line group of people. They were even able to provide an ice sculpture of our dog and cat! A special shout out to Fred, Suzie, Lizebeth and Michelle! Also, Fred's daughter Tori was fantastic and is a rising star in the industry, she was so helpful throughout our day! I couldn't have imagined a better experience for our wedding day, as well as the time leading up to the wedding. Whether it be some of our more unusual requests (like a family-style appetizer), or the ever-so-famous tequila ice sculpture, Pleasantdale Chateau absolutely brought their A-game. Santiago and his team made sure everything felt seamless and made sure we had the best possible experience. Every one of our guests had been thoroughly impressed and easily could understand why we choose this venue. The bridal/groom attendants, Melissa and Michelle, had been absolute rockstars. Among all of the craziness the day brings, they had been right there whenever we needed and anticipated our every request. We had included our dog in the wedding, and during the reception, they made sure he was walked and had water! This small kindness was very touching and made everything even more special as I didn't have to worry about him. To top it all off, the food was off the charts. Dallas Nicolette(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-03-2022 When you think of your wedding day you automatically concur that is it the best day of your life and honestly that’s exactly what the Pleasantdale made it to be.When my husband and I first started wedding venue shopping we were told we made the mistake of touring the Pleasantdale first because no other wedding venue would compare. We saw a total of 13 venues – now mind you during the entire wedding planning process my husband had said “anything you want” when it came to decide our official wedding venue the only decision, he voiced his opinion was getting married at the Pleasantdale. To him there was no other option, and I couldn’t agree more. When we had our first meeting with Fred we were in awe of everything this place has to offer - it is something I can promise you that you would not get anywhere else. Our meeting with Santiago did not disappoint it only made us want to speed up time. My husband is such a foodie so this meeting was everything to him. Our menu meeting was near 2.5 hours just because we ran ideas back and forth, we had laughs and they gave us one more tour to just reassure us that everything was going to go as planned. We also booked with their preferred vendors - we used Debbie Designs for our florists and when I tell you I absolutely LOVED them. They knew how to add that extra touch to the Pleasantdale even though it never needed much and we used their other preferred vendor for music Suzie who owns Heart & Soul. They knew how to keep the party going and I was so happy to have her as a captain that night. The morning of our wedding 3/11/2022 they let us arrive at 745 in the morning so me and my girls as well as the moms could have the full Pleasantdale experience. We had mimosas, coffee, cheese, fruit and other snacks you name it. Santiago also recommended a place to get sandwiches delivered for the guys to eat before the day started and they was delivered at 10 am and the sandwiches did not disappoint. My bridal attendant went above and beyond that day holding my train helping me down the stairs even taking me to the bathroom and so much more. My husband also had all the nice words to say about his attendant as well. The staff was went above and beyond that I cannot even gather the right words to describe how fantastic they all were. Now lets move to cocktail hour - we have been married for three weeks and people keep telling us how this was the best cocktail hour they have ever attended. The way the staff had the cocktail hour flow into each room with the verity of different foods there was an option to cover everyone's choice of food. The specialty cocktail bar, we chose a margarita bar - I normally do not drink margaritas but I had three. From the cocktail hour to the reception to the after party it was the best time of our lives. Not one person had anything bad to say. Everyone kept telling us over and over again how this was the best wedding they ever attended. My husband and I just want to be invited back to a wedding so we can just enjoy another Pleasantdale experience. I just felt like a princess and this was all just a dream come true and I cant thank Fred, Suzie, Santiago and all their staff for creating the best day of our lives. Reviewed on 08-04-2022

Hayley Kraemer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-03-2021 My husband and I looked at Pleasantdale Chateau in December of 2018. It was the last stop on our venue tour for the day. As soon as we arrived at the front gate, we were taken away. The beauty of the Chateau is overwhelming, and any pictures of it that we had previously seen do not do it justice. We sat down with Fred, the director of sales and catering. He told us about what Pleasantdale had to offer, and it did not compare to any venues we had researched or saw. We went back a week later and booked!Fast forward to the week before our original wedding date. Fred and Dawn (another sales manager) had been in contact with my husband and I daily before we finally decided to postpone our wedding date to 8/27/20. They were so helpful (this was literally the beginning of the pandemic and nobody knew what was going on) and made the difficulty decision to postpone feel as it were the right decision. In May of 2020, I had feelings that August would still not work for us as far as possible COVID restrictions go. I was nervous to reach out to Fred because I had seen so many posts that other venues were up charging, or not letting couples reschedule until closer to their date. I emailed Fred regarding my concerns and he immediately called me back. He offered, almost immediately, for us to postpone a second time to 3/21/2021. Mind you, Fred never once gave us a hard time, made us feel guilty, or asked us for more money. He was always completely understanding throughout this entire process. Fast forward now once more to our third wedding reception date and there are no words to express how perfect the day was. The food, the service, the organization, all 100% on point. There was literally not one thing that went wrong with the day (that I know of anyway!) and I am so grateful for Pleasantdale for making this long-awaited day a perfect one. I want to give a shout out to my bridal attendant Leslie who was phenomenal. She was there with me every second of the day to take pictures on my phone, give me a lipstick touch up, answer literally any question I had, and truly make sure everything ran smoothly. If I didn’t have her, I don’t know what I would do!In summary, Pleasantdale Chateau is an amazing venue, and I am so thankful we chose them for our special day. Reviewed on 06-04-2021
Kristin Fattah(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-11-2019 There are no words that can truly encapsulate how AMAZING this venue is. Not only in looks, but the communication and business end as well. From day 1, Pleasantdale Chateau has been on top of everything. I have not one complaint leading up to my wedding day. The beautiful grounds, the over-accommodation, the FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND GORGEOUS TO LOOK AT. My guests still to this day talk about the amazing cocktail hour and say it was the best wedding they have ever attended. Fred and Santiago go above and beyond to make your day as perfect as it should be. I am a vendor in the wedding industry myself, and I have to say this is the top venue to work for. They truly know what they’re doing and how to go about their business. Any time I even thought of something I needed, the bridal attendants helping that day were right behind me with whatever I needed without even having to tell them. The hospitality here cannot be matched. The ceremony, reception, after party, rooms in the chateau for guests to stay, and the day after brunch… it’s unreal, SO SO magical. My husband and I are big foodies and this venue allowed our creativity to flow- we truly could not have been happier. We cannot wait to attend the De Ja Vu Event or another wedding here as a guest in the future. The Pleasantdale Chateau will always be our favorite place to be <3. Reviewed on 16-12-2020
Annelise Musolf(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-10-2020 I don’t even know where to begin to start this review, because no words can describe Pleasantdale Chateau. My review is long, but it has to be. But let me just say, they lived up to everything and BEYOND my dreams! This was the most unreal group of people I have ever worked with start to finish.I am still in such awe that weekend was my wedding and people are still messaging me about. It was one of the greatest days of my life.I will begin by the background of story. I was supposed to get married in March, obviously due to the the pandemic a week and half before we shut down. I was devastated, couldn’t believe that all this planning and excitement was taken away. At that time, no other dates were obviously available for 2020, so I was offered any Saturday in 2021. Which is great, because I have heard horror stories of other venues only offering brides a Monday- Thursday!! Fred and I spent almost every week together on the phone. At the time this was all unknown where it was going. But I knew I didn’t want to wait until 2021. I had a May, June, August and January date. I refused to give up, and Fred refused to give up on me also. They did anything in there power to make the day happen for me. End of the summer is when I took a October date, and I am truly so thankful I did. I could spend all day writing this review because there was so much detail that Pleasantdale put into my wedding day. From the moment we pulled up wedding morning there was a group of workers unloading our car, setting us up in the bridal suite. Food and drinks were displayed. Same for my husband. This was the most EXCEPTIONAL staff I have ever seen in my life. Everytime I turned around, a staff member was there with anything I needed. Cocktail hour was the most amazing thing I have seen, and my guests are truly still raving aboit it. I have never tasted that kind of food at wedding and I have been to a lot. Our private cocktail hour is when we tasted it all and all we could say is WOW. Dinner, After party and breakfast were all amazing and the food was unreal! They made every guest feel safe, clean and comfortable. My wedding was truly a magical, fairytale day. Santiago, ran my wedding day and my family is still talking about him!! He is so kind, caring and attentive. Fred, Santiago, Dawn and the rest of the staff at Pleasantdale, you will forever have a special place in my heart. We have spent many months in contact and I am so grateful to have the relationship with them as I do now. Pleasantdale was the greatest decision myself, my husband and my parents have ever made. It was an over the top, beautiful day and I am truly so lucky to have gotten married at the one and only, Pleasantdale Chateau! Reviewed on 02-11-2020

Went with my daughter, who is the bride, for our tour today with Fred. We were seated in beautiful room to wait and were told we can remove our masks, which we didn’t. When Fred came he didn’t have a mask on and started giving his talk about the property. My daughter ask if he could please put a mask on, as she and I work in healthcare, he Told us he can’t wear one and speak, but reluctantly went to get one. Upon his return he continued to talk with the mask in his hand. And when asked again to put the mask on he refused and we said we would have to leave then and he kindly said ok, have a nice day. After seeing several venues, we thought it would be impossible to find 1) beautiful venue 2) great food 3) kind and attentive staff, until we met Fred and team at Pleasantdale Chateau. The venue is breathtakingly beautiful; we didn’t need to go anywhere else for photos. There were several places inside and outside for breathtaking photos. Months later, people are STILL talking about how amazing the food is. We don’t even know where to begin with the staff. Such incredible people who treated our wedding like we are family. Santiago, our Maitre D, was personable, funny, and took care of all the details of the day. Marta made sure everything was organized and even helped us the morning after our wedding to collect our stuff. The bridal attendants, Jessica and Jennifer, bent over backwards for us. Jessica first noticed I was getting over heated after taking photos outside and immediately got cold towels to put on me. They got my shoes when I couldn’t walk anymore. Kay Oh(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 I’m not one to leave unfavorable reviews, however, the experience I had here was inexcusable. As a newly engaged young woman, looking at wedding venues has been equal parts stressful and fun. The Pleasantdale Chateau was one of the last venues I looked at. I will not take away its beauty. The place is truly exquisite. Yet, the man who led our tour was rude, demeaning, and clearly had no interest in answering our questions. I won’t be specific with names, as there’s no need to be. Every time we asked a question, the man snapped at us and said, “If you just let me finish” or “As I said previously.” I’m aware he must give these tours often, but for a place that claims it is fully custom designed, you’d think they’d take individual questions more seriously. Additionally, I asked a question regarding the use of outdoor areas in the winter months. He looked at me and rolled his eyes only to respond, “I mean, it’s winter now, isn’t it?” A few members of our tour group had bad hips and the man continued to rush us through every inch of the Chateau, not slowing down at all or allowing us to take our time to look. Upon vocalizations that we were thirsty, the man ignored us...not even offering a bottle of water when we were seated in an office. EVERY other premier wedding venue had gone above and beyond to make us comfortable. At PC, we felt unwanted and unwelcome. Finally, when going over prices, the individual failed to give us any information regarding what dates were already taken/next steps or making a deposit. He didn’t even provide his card until we asked. Most wedding venues book up quickly and I’m sure they already had dates taken for my desired month/year. Part of me wonders if the man just thought I wasn’t serious about booking my wedding here/didn’t think I could afford it. Unfortunately, I was very serious and will take my money elsewhere. If my tour is any indication of how he would treat my wedding, I would leave PC again in disappointment. Reviewed on 03-01-2020

My daughter is now engaged. We had looked in all of NJ & even NYC & nothing had inspired us.I went through the gatehouse at 757 Eagle Rock Ave, I immediately became excited. This only grew as I drove down the magnificent winding scenic road of trees, bridges & lake property. I thought I was entering a royal castle. We pulled around the corner & were astounded by the beautiful garden on our left & the magnificent estate on our right; an estate that I would call \"The Castle.\"We met Mr. Fred Fogg, the Director of PDC. We walked in & it was such an awe-inspiring moment filled with so much character & beauty. I had fallen in love the moment I entered the exquisite entrance hall. Fred took us on an amazing, detailed tour of this exquisite estate. He was incredibly patient in answering all of our questions & addressing our concerns. While Fred exemplified the utmost professionalism, knowledge & business acumen, it never interrupted his genuine care for my daughter & the integrity of the event & the venue. It was clear that he & his team's goal was to ensure the whole wedding process was unforgettable for her. That is exactly what they did for the entirety of her engagement. When terms were made & we booked it, both parties had responsibilities that we agreed to. Mine were financial. Fred & his team were to provide an incredible wedding. They not only honored this, but went many levels above & beyond to make it a fairytale wedding. The chefs & food are the crème-de-la-crème. It rivals any fine restaurant & has a more upscale, genteel atmosphere, reminiscent of an exclusive private dignitary event. From the hospitality hour, the undisputed, best cocktail hour imaginable, the fantastic dinner, the unbelievable dessert offering, & fine service. The lamb is perfection, the suckling pig is heavenly, the sushi & lobster stations are as good as they get, & the fresh mozzarella station are to die for. The beef tenderloin is one of the most delicious pieces of beef you will ever taste. They offer a range of desserts, including unique twists that would make a French pastry chef swoon. The real genuine secret at PDC, while it has awe-inspiring beauty, grandeur, & amazing food, is the people that make this venue truly remarkable. The incredible staff that see to you & your guests' every whim. It all starts & ends with the Director of Operations & Head Maître D, Santiago Sevilla. I am here to tell you that not only is he the best wedding director, but he is an incredible person. We were so blessed to have him as a part of & leading this special event. As Elvis Presley was born to sing, Santiago was born to provide couples the grandest wedding experience one could provide. His commitment to the couple, families, & most importantly, guests, is incomparable, unparalleled & indescribable. The only way to comprehend this dedication is to actually experience it.If your child is getting married, I recommend visiting PDC & have the experience of a lifetime. The experience Fred, Santiago, & the staff burned into our memory will last forever & there is no cost that could match that.Thank you Fred, Santiago, Dawn, Christine, Rich, Camilla, Aaliyah, Lesly, the chefs, & everyone for making my dream & my daughter's fairytale wedding come true, as only Pleasantdale Chateau can do. From the beginning of our search, we knew this was going to be great, because everywhere I looked, I could only find/hear good things about this place (even from people that work for other venues), so we had really high expectations. From the first meeting with Fred to the very end (the morning after our wedding), Pleasantdale Chateau exceeded our expectations in every aspect. Thank you, Fred, Santiago and everyone else who made our day perfect! The place was gorgeous (we went for our tour in the winter, it was really nice, but when we went back close to the wedding date, it was absolutely stunning!); service was amazing, and the food, omg, was insane in terms of both quantity and quality (guests were definitely wow-ed, many of them said it’s the best they’ve ever had, which we were very glad to hear, because food was the most important factor to us when picking our venue). My only regret was, we did not get to enjoy a lot of the amazing food (too busy and excited), I wish we had asked for a to-go box for later that night or even the next day. To make this email easier to read, I'm going chronologically ;)VenueWe probably heard this about 50 times from our friends and family...\"Oh my god, as we drove down the driveway looking for the place, and made the turn to the front, our jaws dropped when we saw the grounds and chateau for the first time. It was one of the most beautiful venues we've ever been to.\" We tend to agree :) The weather was extremely cooperative and the day could not have been better for the ceremony to our pictures. Camila and Vee were the undercover MVP's of the day. As I told Santiago, he's got a special one in Vee. The hospitality and service that she showed throughout the day was incredible. There was one time while we were in the middle of the dance floor and I was about to say to Laura \"I think your bustle fell out and it's dragging.\" I swear to you, before I could open my mouth, I see Vee, on the floor on her knees, pinning Laura's dress up. I couldn't believe it! She was absolutely amazing and we so enjoyed getting to know her.WeddingStarting with the rehearsal, we had numerous bridesmaids and groomsmen ask us, \"Is Santiago a comedian on the side?\" For something that can be confusing with bad directions and boring, our rehearsal was fun, hilarious, and only got everyone more excited about the actual ceremony. After the ceremony, Laura and I walked back up the aisle and saw Santiago dancing at the top of the steps, so of course we danced right back. Then, he led us to see the amazing Cinderella castle in the cocktail hall and upstairs we went to bustle Laura's dress. The setup of cocktail hour food was incredible and we have not heard the end of it from our guests! Here are some more of our memories and little details that the team executed to perfection:Santiago orchestrating the longest hora ever like a boss with the chairs and PDC staff helping life them up!Vee asking us before our entrance what we wanted for dinner, Laura said \"some sushi from cocktail hour\" and Santiago literally brings out a sushi boat for the sweetheart table. First of all, simply entering the grounds is stunning. We drove up to this breathtaking venue and I already felt like I was in a fairytale. That same weekend we toured other venues, but I knew we were destined to be married at the Pleasantdale. Not only was it beautiful but it would be dedicated to us entirely for 24 hours. I did not want a “bride in, bride out” experience. While other venues were lovely, there was such a high level of service and attention the Pleasantdale offered, which is exactly what I wanted for our wedding day.Working with Fred, Dawn and Santiago throughout our months of planning could not have gone smoother. While they are incredibly professional and responsive, they are also just fun to work with! We loved the experience of finalizing our menu and the details of the big day. They made me feel completely at ease because they do not miss a beat.We got married on 11.16.18 and the night before was a nor’easter. No matter what type of weather you get on your big day, rest assured the grounds of the Pleasantdale will still be gorgeous. We arrived at 9am to a winter wonderland. The bridal suite was ready to go with fruit, pastries, champagne and coffee. This was was one of my favorite rooms on the property. It overlooks the ballroom, so it was exciting to see everything being set up. It also has a balcony which overlooks the front grounds. We had two bridal attendants who were always there when you needed them. My husband had his own suite to get ready, and also a game room for the guys to hang out in. They certainly enjoyed themselves. From there, everything was perfect. The ceremony, the reception, the after party - all amazing. But the #1 hit at our wedding, by far, was the food. Our guests were blown away. Our cocktail hour alone could have fed everyone for the night. No one could believe they were getting dinner as well. And then the desserts. And then the after party menu. It was all SO good!! 9 months later our family and friends are still raving about it.I also have to mention that the honeymoon suite was GORGEOUS. It was set up after the reception with every dessert, champagne and lots of water. They also allowed us to bring in a karaoke DJ for the after party, which was so much fun. The next morning we had a huge breakfast (in case anyone was still hungry, which they were). It was so nice that the Pleasantdale has guest rooms on the property so we could see most of our out-of-town guests before they left. The attendants once again did a phenomenal job cleaning up the honeymoon suite so we could enjoy our time at breakfast. They had everything packed and ready to go for our departure. Our wedding was a dream come true and I give so much credit to the Pleasantdale for making that happen. They are the best of the best in the wedding industry and will go above and beyond to make certain you are taken care of on the most important day of your lives. We visited nearly a dozen places first (even Manhattan’s finest venues) but once we stepped foot on the grounds of the Pleasantdale Chateau my fiance and I looked at each other, and we both knew this was the place for us. The grounds, the decor, the architecture, and the character are all equally beautiful, intricate, and impeccable. There simply is no other place like the Pleasantdale. Many other venues felt impersonal, run of the mill, and cookie cutter, but here, they cater and personalize the wedding JUST FOR YOU! Our families are very old school Italian, so we had very specific food requests and high expectations on taste and presentation, and the Pleasantdale “italianized” our wedding to meet our high Italian food standards. They even made sure to get us fresh figs like we requested :)As amazing as the venue, the grounds and the food were, we both agreed that wasn't even the best part about selecting the Pleasantdale Chateau... it’s the staff. The staff goes absolutely above and beyond to make sure the weeks leading up to your wedding and the actual day are as completely stress free as possible. People thought we had a wedding planner, but we just had the Pleasantdale staff to thank :) Fred pushed the standards to ensuring our cocktail hour, dinner menu, and after party food were top notch and unlike any other wedding. Santiago made sure the day ran perfectly and flawlessly. You don't realize all the behind the scenes that goes into executing a massive wedding, but Santiago tackles it all, and doesn't let you down. He even gave the shirt off his back to one of our grandparents when he stained his shirt. And our bridal and groom attendants (shout out to Vera and Jennifer) who were 3 steps ahead of us! They literally changed our shoes for us when we had a sneaker change (as we were eating our dinner). And our bridal party actually got to enjoy themselves and didn’t have to worry about anything because our attendants were so accommodating. A wedding is a special day, a once in a lifetime event. You want to find the venue that will make it special for you, and that’s why our venue search was over the moment we discovered the Pleasantdale Chateau. We truly had the fairytale, storybook wedding that little girls dream about when there’s not a care in the world. How did we get so lucky?! One example is, my husband and I got married on the 4th of July and I wanted the desserts to have be American themed and he made it happen! During our planning meeting a month before our wedding we met Santiago, the Maitre’d. Right off the bat he makes you feel like you are his best friend! During the meeting he got to know us and our love for our dogs. He made sure that our dogs could be apart of our day. Santiago makes everything effortless. You have nothing to worry about with the day being in his hands. He loves what he does and will make sure everything goes smoothly. My husband and I had our eyes set on a different venue when we were deciding where to get married, but were supposed to have our appointment the day after visiting Pleasantdale. We never made it there. When we walked into Pleasantdale it just took our breath away. We knew it was our place. Every room has a different feel and style to it, and combined, the chateau is just exquisite. It was exactly the vibe we were looking for and struggled to find elsewhere. Fred was fantastic, accommodating, a true professional. Everything we asked for he made happen. He genuinely wanted to make us the happiest bride and groom. Working with Pleasantdale was seamless. Fred advised us on vendors, menu selection, and all the little details along the way. He was always available and eager to help in any way possible. Last, but not least, Santiago. Oh my, there are not enough words to describe this literal angel. Santiago is the true star of Pleasantdale. When we first met at our menu meeting I knew I was going to love this man. He was on top of EVERYTHING and even though we had a planner, he was invaluable. On the day of the wedding he made everything seamless, and every time I turned my head he was by my side to help with anything and everything. What I'm most grateful for is how he helped with my elderly grandparents. He was there to assist them and ensured that we didn't have to stress about them. Santiago, you are a rare gem. Lastly, I should mention the access you are given to the Chateau. My close family members and friends spent the night with us at the beautiful Chateau and had a delicious breakfast there the next morning. It just kept the wonderful experience going and is not something you get with every venue. All in all, I can't imagine that there is another wedding venue that compares to Pleasantdale. The food (so much food), the service, the ambiance, the attentiveness is simply unparalleled. Fred Fogg gave us a complete tour answering all of our questions and never once making us feel rushed. The grounds are simply spectacular, not to be outdone by the Chateau itself. It was more beautiful around every corner. And the fact that the Chateau is yours and yours alone for 24 hours is just incredible, it makes the wedding experience so intimate and personal from the minute you walk in until the minute you say goodbye ( which by the way, you will not want to) it is truly a fairytale come true for everyone who is lucky enough to be there. That being said, none of my daughters dream wedding would have been possible without the head maitre d Santiago. From the first day we met with him to go over the menu, up until the actual wedding day he was beyond fabulous. There to guide the way with a smile and actual joy on his face. He made sure every single step went off without a hitch, and indeed it did. He even went out of his way to get my daughter a fantastic cat ice sculpture for the cocktail hour after he discovered her love of cats. The food served to our guests was truly gourmet, and expertly delivered by the outstanding staff working our event. Our guests raved about each and every delectable delight served. The menu is so original and expertly prepared it is truly a fine dining experience in every sense of the word. I would tell anyone who has the opportunity to have their wedding here, do it!! Do not hesitate it will be the best day of the beginning of your new life as a married couple. Reviewed on 24-06-2019
Yiwen Jia(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-06-2019 We just had our wedding at Pleasantdale Chateau and it was one of the best days of our lives. My husband and I live in NYC and when we were looking at wedding venues, we specifically wanted a place that was highly unique, with beautiful grounds and outdoor charm. We visited a total of 21 venues in New Jersey and Long Island and we fell in love with Pleasantdale Chateau on our first visit. The venue is so gorgeous, with the outdoor areas that include the little creek and bridge. The inside is even more beautiful, with each room having its own unique vibe and charm. I especially loved the greenhouse, music room, blue room, and the ballroom. The only thing that's more amazing than the venue itself is the staff that works so hard to make the Pleasantdale experience a spectacular one. When it comes to weddings and wedding planning, it's the little details that really count and Pleasantdale really gets things right. The staff members went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and answer all our questions in a timely manner. Every person we interacted with was the consummate professional - knowledgeable, kind, patient, and sincere. To Fred, Santiago, Dawn, Marta, Christine, Camila, Leslie, and many others, you are all amazing and we can't thank you enough for making our big day so special and wonderful. In addition to the Pleasantdale staff, the preferred vendors we worked with were just as wonderful! We used Pleasantdale's preferred photographer, videographer, DJ and musician, florist, lighting designer, and transportation vendor and everyone was so professional and kind. They are true experts in their fields and complement Pleasantdale so well. Pleasantdale has truly assembled an amazing team of preferred vendors and this goes to show how much they care about the overall holistic experience for its couples. In terms of the actual wedding experience, our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food was. The cocktail hour was insane and people were blown away by how much food there was and how everything tasted so delicious. Many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever attended and the best food they had ever had at a wedding. It was worth every penny we paid and I would recommend this venue a million times and more to couples looking to get married.Pleasantdale has set the bar so high in terms of weddings, for us and our guests. All of the staff, especially our most attentive bride and groom attendants, ensured that everything went off without a hitch and was stress-free, so we did not have to worry and were really able to enjoy ourselves. Everyone truly made us feel special. From having a plate of hors d'oeuvres waiting for us after the ceremony to ending the reception with a bottle of champagne and assorted desserts in our room, the staff anticipated our every need and want. And we were so excited when we woke up the next day to see that the bridal attendant had secretly been using the bride’s phone to take candid shots of us throughout the day; what a happy surprise! We, along with our parents, have been inundated with messages about how phenomenal everything was. She was the absolute best!! The venue itself is a dream. All my guests raved about how fairy tale like it is and the amazing food they had from the cocktail hour until the after party. We performed thorough research, narrowed it down, booked appointments at 6 venues, flew to New Jersey where we met with each, all in the same day.The Pleasantdale was our final stop, and blew all others out of the water! Not only was The Pleasantdale in a category all-its-own, the knowledge, thoroughness, & detailed tour with Fred Fogg was unlike any other. He knew EVERYTHING and easily answered any and all questions we had. We booked almost immediately, and I am so thankful that we did! They were on top of every little detail!!! Leading up to the wedding, we corresponded with Dawnand, she too, was fabulous. She always got back to us at lightning speed, even replying on her off days! Much closer to the wedding, we met in person once more and had the pleasure of working with Santiago Sevilla, Director of Operations & Head Maitre D', and another amazing member of the Pleasantdale family. He was able to walk us through our wedding day, the food, the arrangements, the timing. He was able to guide us and advise us regarding the menu and was just wonderful, as he handle every detail of our wedding day with the utmost care. Between Fred, Santiago, and Dawn, our entire experience was seamless from beginning to end. I sincerely LOVE the Pleasantdale Family. They are so professional, but still so personable and a joy to work with! Our Wedding Day: From the beginning, it was incredible. The bridal suite was all set up. Plentiful space for all of the gals to spread out, relax, take turns on make-up & hair. I had a wonderful bridal attendant, Alyssa, helping with anything I needed. During photography sessions, she was constantly helping with my cathedral veil and long train. It would have been so time consuming, had I needed to get sorted all on my own. I really didn't consider these details, however, The Pleasantdale Chateau is obviously well versed & experienced in every aspect of your wedding day. My husband also had a wonderful attendant, Vera; pleasant, experienced, skilled, and on top of everything! They handle everything with care, so that you can remain at ease, & soak in the most amazing day of your life! The Food: The most phenomenal food you will ever have. If wedding venues were able to receive Michelin Stars, The Pleasantdale would take the cake! The cocktail hour dishes & the sit down dinner were absolutely remarkable. We had so many guests approach us to let us know just how incredible the food was! My husband & I love to cook, often enjoy some of the great Houston restaurants, and ,WOW, we were just so impressed with the taste, quality, and absolute perfection of the food at The Pleasantdale Chateau.Guest Feedback: During the wedding and after the wedding, many of our guest reiterated, over & over, about how much they enjoyed it all. We even received a card from one of our family members, thanking us for the invite as they \"had never seen anything like it\". If you are looking to have a one-of-a-kind, magical, unforgettable, picturesque, fairytale wedding, I highly recommend having your wedding day at The Pleasantdale Chateau. Geeta Purushuttam Shah(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-11-2017 From the moment we drove up the long driveway leading to Pleasantdale I knew we had found our wedding venue. It was the first and last venue we saw! Fred Fogg was the manager that we worked with to secure our date more than a year in advance of our wedding date. For the full year of planning he was our point of contact answering any questions we had promptly and with the utmost patience. A few months before the wedding we were introduced to Santiago Sevilla. Santi is a miracle worker to say the very least. He is Director of Operations and Head Maitre D' but is so much more that that. He oversees every little detail to ensure everything discussed prior to the wedding comes to fruition. In addition to being in 10 places at the same time he somehow manages to still be by the bride's side to provide a hug, or a laugh to calm nerves. I cannot speak highly enough of Santi. The team at Pleasantdale goes way above and beyond to accommodate any special requests or needs so that your special day is customized to fit the couple - I truly believe there is no other venue that can come close to the service, professionalism, and care that Pleasantdale provides not only to the couple but the immediate family. The bride and groom are each assigned an attendant as well as the parents of the bride and groom. As the bride, I was given Dominique, Camila and Vira - these girls felt like family by the time our 2 day stay was over. They worked tirelessly and seamlessly so that every little detail was taken care of. They truly made me feel like a princess! Any stress that I arrived at Pleasantdale with for our wedding weekend instantly melted away once I was in the hands of these extremely caring individuals. There is literally nothing you need to worry about as the bride and groom!Aside from the high quality service, the venue itself is straight out of a fairy-tale. For a moment you will forget that you are in New Jersey - the grounds are absolutely breath taking and so meticulously cared for. We visited Pleasantdale a number of times before our wedding to meet with Fred and Santiago and each time the chateau took my breath away. The food is top notch and our guests can't stop raving about the variety provided for our cocktail hour and sit down dinner.I am forever grateful for the experience that was provided to us by the team at Pleasantdale. I cannot give them enough accolades for the high quality service they provide in every category. If Pleasantdale is on your list of potential venues I would say look no further! When you have an event you have access to the property for a full 24 hours, there is only one event a day, which truly creates such a personalized experience. The bridal suite and the grooms changing area and game room were perfect areas to get ready and hang out in, the attendants were super helpful with pictures, and the grounds for photos were breathtaking. I could not have asked for a better wedding day! I was always told before my wedding from those that have gone to weddings at Pleasantdale that they have the best weddings and I was in no way disappointed on the day of my wedding. From my first meeting, to deciding to get married at Pleasantdale, to our meeting a month before and all that's in between, I was extremely pleased with everything. Every email I sent before the day was answered immediately and everyone was so pleasant to work with (no pun intended). Before the day of the wedding, I brought all items that needed to be displayed and favors for the day of and I left detailed notes on where I wanted everything. Everything was EXACTLY where I wanted on the day of the wedding. If you get married at Pleasantdale, you do not need to worry about anything going wrong on the venue's end. Now to the beautiful venue, WOW. From the moment I drove down the amazing driveway into Pleasantdale, I was amazed. I never wanted to get married in a catering hall that looked like any other place and luckily I was able to get married in the most amazing Chateau. An added bonus are the guest rooms on the property that allows the family and friends closest to the couple to stay over. The food is unmatched to any venue you will ever go to. That is a promise. People left my wedding saying that the steak they had was better than steak in the best restaurants they've been to. The only problem is that there is so much AMAZING food that it is impossible to eat it all. And, if you're the bride and groom, your bridal attendants bring all of the different food to your suite before cocktail hour so you can eat before having to greet your guests (best thing ever). This also happens after the reception and before the afterparty with the deserts (also amazing). The bridal attendants are so nice and amazing to work with, as is everyone else that you have the pleasure of working with at Pleasantdale. Santiago is seriously so fun and funny and makes the entire process of picking a menu and going over the details of the day very enjoyable. I truly couldn't say enough about the best day of our lives. It was truly a fairytale and that has all to do with the amazing staff and venue we were able to get married at. The service is truly unmatched. I have heard non stop since that day that it was by far the best wedding that my guests have been to and that makes me so happy! Once I stepped foot in the Chateau the morning of my wedding, I was greeted by my bridal attendant Camilla. She was there every moment that I needed something and I felt like royalty. She held my bouquet during photos and made sure I had enough to eat and drink. Jennifer, my husbands attendant, was just as amazing. Santiago happens to be my husbands friend from several years ago and now he is my new friend! He was amazing every step of the way. But let me tell you, as amazing as all these things are, they don’t compare to being able to have a stress free wedding day thanks to the amazing service. I didn’t understand why service is so important until I had my wedding. I told Santiago I’m afraid of falling off the chair when they raise it up (in Jewish weddings we do that), he ran up to me, held my chair from underneath and mouthed to me “don’t worry, I got you” The bridal attendant (Jennifer) followed me around all day, she held my insanely heavy dress and long veil the entire day, and I mean- the outside photo shoot, indoor photo shoot, while I walked around, then she cleaned the dress from all the dirt and mud I dragged it though. She fixed my friends shoes that ripped. She brought me a giant cocktail hour of my own to my bridal suite. She ran after me with water and a straw, held my lipstick in case I needed a touch up, she helped my photographers when they needed my veil to fly for pictures, any little thing I needed she was right there. The grounds are impeccable no matter what time of year it is, and one could get lost for hours wandering around the many rooms the facilities have for you and your guests to explore.Furthermore, the staff of the Chateau will go out of their way to make you and your significant other feel like royalty on your special day. Fred the Director of Sales went over every last detail we could possibly think of (and many we would have never thought of), and his assistant Dawn was always an email away to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way.And Santiago...oh my, words cannot begin to describe the amazingness that is Santiago! The aforementioned maitre d’ handled every request, need, and desire we had. He was there to assist with vendor deliveries at random times of the day/night, dress issues during the photo shoot, and last minute changes to the entrances of our bridal party. He went out of his way to help guests with their questions as well; he even helped our pet sitter get our dog home safely after her role in the ceremony of “Dog of Honor” was completed.Pleasantdale Chateau is a first class establishment from top to bottom, and they pride themselves on that as it shows in the outcome of every event they host. All of our guests had nothing but positive feedback our wedding, from the food during cocktail hour (the best), the ambiance of the main ballroom, and the hip vibe of the after party. Those who stay on ground are in for an additional experience - make sure you get the breakfast the next day for your guests so you can immediately share the memories you made the previous day. Courtney Schneider(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-01-2017 I am still speechless with how incredible Pleasantdale was. My husband and I got married here on January 15, 2017. It was the most magical, incredible night- so much more than what we could've asked for! I do not know where to start...everything exceeded our expectations by far!The planning process: Fred was the absolute best!! He was super responsive, helpful, and attentive. He made me feel special and catered to. He truly made the process so seamless. Santiago was also outstanding! Santiago provided comedic relief the day of, and made sure everything was on time and running smoothly. The staff: The staff at the Pleasantdale (and the food) really set it apart from any other venue. After attending weddings at many other venues (recently at Park Chateau) I can safely say that nothing compares! My husband and I each had our own attendant, who not only catered to us the entire evening, but to our parents as well! Every time someones drink was half-full, they would bring another one out. It started when we were greeted by Camilla and Dominique, our bridal attendants, and they brought all of our stuff inside and then proceeded to park our cars for us. The morning after our wedding, my husbands bridal attendant, actually PACKED our bags in the car, and pulled up the car for us to get into! It was amazing! My bridal attendant helped me every time I had to go to the bathroom! The food: Again, after being a frequent flier at weddings in NJ (and around the continental US), I have yet to find a cocktail hour that compares to Pleasantdale's. Our guests still are talking about it. There was SO MUCH FOOD! And, the presentation was stunning. We had about 330 guests, and they managed to keep the lines all short for the cocktail hour, and not run out of anything! Our guests favorites was the sushi, raw bar, and the fresh mozzarella bar!! The best part was, they set up a private cocktail hour for my husband and I in the bridal suite, with little tastes of everything from downstairs. This was so helpful, since we could decompress after the ceremony, and have some down time to eat. The dinner was also incredible. What sets Pleasantdale apart from other venues (incuding Park Chateau) is that the food is actually delicious. It is not your typical wedding food. Each dish tastes unique and amazing, which is impressive for a venue. No detail was left untouched!!The venue: If you want a venue that your guests will never forget, and you will never forget as well, you MUST get married here. From the gardens, to the antique pool, to the fireplaces, to the grounds, to the ballroom, to the accommodations, there is simply not a more special and unique place in the tri-state area. It was great for our immediate family and bridal party that they could stay over that evening, and our room was right upstairs! It could not have been more convenient. I cannot stress enough how incredible this venue is. My husband and I are so lucky and thrilled we found Pleasantdale and got married here. It exceeded any expectations we had, or could've had, for a fairytale and dream wedding. We had to worry about nothing, and knew we were in great hands throughout the process until the day of. No detail went overlooked, we did not have to lift a finger, and were made to feel so special. If you want a wedding that will impress all your friends and family as well, this is the place!! On the day of our wedding, Chris and I did not have to worry about one thing. The staff at the Pleasantdale is simply the best of the best- EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. THEM. Santiago took care of our every need and truly made us feel like family. Suzie, Dawn, Dominique, Kattya, and everyone else that helped us during planning and on the day of were just incredible. The level of service is beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Dominique was my bridal attendant for the day and I swear she was a mind reader! She knew what I needed before I even knew I needed it! I am looking forward to keeping in touch with her and the rest of the staff as they truly made me feel so special and I will never forget how well they took care of me and my family! \t\tTHE FOOD! Every single one of my guests came up to me RAVING about the food and the amount of it! There was a huge abundance and EVERYTHING was delicious. The food literally didn’t stop coming all night. The cocktail hour was soup to nuts….a full roasted pig, homemade fresh mozzarella being prepared right in front of you, fresh pasta, seafood bar, etc. The list seriously goes on! The dinner was delicious and the dessert was TO DIE FOR! We had past Viennese and there were more sweets being passed around than a regular Viennese table! The onsite pastry chef made us the yummiest cannoli filled wedding cake I ever had- not to mention it was stunning to look at! My guests were in awe and loved every minute! The Pleasantdale also took care of our after party which was held in another beautiful room on premise. We had a full bar and amazing food at the after party – wings, disco fries, breakfast sandwiches, cookies, and all other goodies that someone who has had a few drinks would want to munch on! We danced, ate, and drank until 3 in the morning! All with the help from the most amazing and friendly staff ever created. My husband and I were able to truly enjoy every part of our day because the staff took care of it all! We were treated like a kind and queen and didn’t even feel worthy of the amazing treatment we were getting! Janelle G(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2017 This place will always have an incredibly special place in our hearts. We are still blown away .... Just over a year ago, after a long and unsuccessful day of venue hunting, my mom and I pulled up a windy, scenic driveway. We seemingly disappeared from the suburbs of NJ and pulled up to an image that I truly thought only existed in fairytales. The grounds are exquisite and when I walked into the ballroom, I was so overwhelmed with emotion.. I knew this was it! Over the course of the past year, Fred, Dawn and Santiago have been nothing short of amazing to work with. They have been attentive and accommodating every step of the way and helped me feel so at peace in all the madness of planning! Santiago was an incredible maestro on our wedding day- making sure everything went off without a hitch! He is amazing ... SO the big day! I was a wreck as everything was whirling around me... The team at Pleasantdale is so amazing that I get choked up thinking about it. My bridal attendant, Vira, was an absolute God-send. She was right there with me ALL DAY and knew what I needed before I thought to need it! Amongst a MILLION other things, she tied every one of our groomsmen's bowties, bustled my dress, carried my bouquet as we were taking photos, ran around like crazy if I needed anything at all. She worked so hard all day and I am so grateful that I had the pleasure of working with her. She was a huge part of our wedding being such a success.THE FOOD IS INCREDIBLE...we knew it would be from hearing it from people who've been here in the past. I wish we would have been able to do a tasting, not because we ever doubted the food but more because I feel like that's just such a fun part of the process and I didn't want to miss a bite! We ended up eating a little bit of each plate and then they packaged up the rest for us to finish later. People were going CRAZY over the cocktail hour... I found 2 family members sprawled out on the couch unable to move from how much they ate! For dessert, we did passed desserts which everyone is still raving about! It kept everyone dancing and the flow of the room moving..Feedback from my guests- this was the classiest, most tasteful wedding they have ever been to! I couldn't be happier that I found my way up that long driveway last year... having our wedding reception at Pleasantdale Chateau was a magical experience we will never forget. I am so grateful to everyone who I worked with directly and who worked behind the scenes that helped make our Big Day such a success... Christina Lee(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2017 I had my wedding here on 10/14 and people are still talking about it 10 days later. The place is unreal, it makes you feel like you are in another lifetime, like old Hollywood. I truly felt I wasn’t in New Jersey in 2017, felt like a kid that had not one worry in the world. The Chateau had me living in the moment all day and night. It’s indescribable the energy this place gives off, I loved it and so did my guests. The staff and service is like nothing I ever experienced before. We truly felt like royalty during the process and on the wedding day. They go above and beyond to make you happy. Back up plans for the back up plan (I don’t even know if we needed any, they are that good at handling things) Their Primary Goal was us having the greatest day of our lives and they succeeded. All I had to do was show up, they have everything covered. The food is the best I ever tasted, Fred made sure we didn’t pick the generic wedding food so we could give the guests something to talk about and boy did they Rave over the fresh mozzarella station. I had a guest who is a real foodie, travels all over the world and said it was the best she ever had. Our Bridal party loved that they were able to stay overnight. Special shout out to VIRA, she was my attendant for the day and she really helped make my day a smooth and relaxed one. She helped me with EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. Handled everything with a smile! She held my drink, got me a drink, helped with my veil all day (holding it while I walked or stood) and my dress, sowed a bridesmaids dress on spot, I really think there was nothing Vira didn’t do or couldn’t do because she was THE BEST. I can’t thank her enough for all her help. Santiago was also AMAZING! Made things so fun and even helped with my hair before I walked out to be announced (Thank you!!😉) The passion he has for this business really shows and he just makes the day unforgettable. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for helping make my wedding to date, the best day of my life! Reviewed on 25-10-2017

When my husband (fiance at the time) and I first pulled up to Pleasantdale Chateau, we knew the search was over. As we extered through the spectacular chateau doors, we were warmly greeted. We briefly waited on beautiful and comfortable couches for our tour guide, Fred Fogg, director of sales and catering. Fred is the best salesman in the wedding industry!Fred is a true gentleman and a pleasure to work with. He is kind, attentive, accommodating, knowledgeable, the list goes on. He listens to your vision while putting his two cents it. Pleasantdale Chateau is situated on 40 acres, and Fred took his time showing us all 40 acres of the chateau. While giving us a tour of the chateau, he answered all questions we asked him, and welcomed us to continue asking questions. Once we were through with our tour, we were tempted to book our wedding, but we decided it's best for us to sleep on this. A few days went by and we couldn't stop thinking about Pleasantdale Chateau and how much we love it! We contacted Fred informing him that we would like to book our wedding at the chateau. We booked our Pleasantdale wedding and then started counting down the days till our big day. I planned most of the wedding and had many questions for Fred throughout the process. He answered all of my questions in a very timely manner, and even responded to my emails while on vacation.Pleasantdale Chateau treats my husband and I like family. We can't wait to go back to the chateau for \"Deja Vu.\" This annual event is exclusive to Pleasantdale couples and their immediate families. It's an opportunity for the \"Pleasantdale Family\" to relive their Pleasantdale wedding. Pleasantdale understands that weddings go by too fast for brides and grooms, so they give them an opportunity to relive their special day.Everyone we worked on our weddng day with went above and beyond to be sure the day was running smoothly. Santiago, maitre d, was on fire! He did everything possible to make our whole day/night perfect! Camilla (my bridal attendant) and Vira (my husband's attendant) were the best attendants any bride and groom can ask for! They helped Santiago make the day perfect and didn't have us want for anything! Anything we wanted, they already took care of it. They thought of everything and all my husband and I needed to do was relax and enjoy. Our wedding was magical! We got married at the chateau, outside, in front of the pond. As we walked up the aisle when our ceremony concluded, Camilla and Vira were waiting at the end of the aisle with champagne for us. We were then escorted upstairs where there was a private cocktail hour for us so we could have a chance to eat. My husband and I are foodies, and we ate the most delicous food we have ever tasted! Pleasantdale even has their own farm, \"The Farm at Pleasantdale.\" The private cocktail hour for the bride and groom is important because it's easy to not eat much at your wedding. Pleasantdale Chateau pays very close attention to detail. My husband and I will always remember how amazing our wedding was.Anyone who is looking to have an upscale, over the top wedding, look no further than Pleasantdale Chateau. He truly makes you feel like you're the only bride in the world that matters, the best one he's worked with (although for me this may have been true 😜), and a friend. It's the kind of place that makes you realize that even if all your personal touches fail and the weather is a bust (none of which happened) it will still be the most beautiful most magical day of your life. My husband and I were married at Pleasantdale on July 2, 2017, and I can't sing the team's praises highly enough. Fred, Santiago and their team create magical experiences that leave imprints on everyone who gets the good fortune of being a part of them. Our wedding day was so special start to finish, and that is because they run the tightest ship anyone could ever hope to be on. (The Titanic would not have sunk if Fred and his team were in charge.) Truly, there was not a moment that was not anticipated, nor a hair out of place. Before my wedding, friends kept telling me \"expect for things not to run perfectly, but try not to get caught up in that, it's all about what comes after, etc. etc.\" HA! They did not have their wedding at Pleasantdale, that is for sure. Everything was literally perfect (and if it wasn't, I certainly wasn't aware of it).The food was spectacular, the venue immaculate (you can't take a bad picture here), and the attendants were delightful (and incredibly attentive). Each vendor they recommended (if this is a route you want to go) was better than the next. Which leaves me with the food. I have received countless messages about how full my guests still are, but how they wish they could go back for more, and dream of everything from the Peking Duck rolls to the pulled mozz bar, to of course, the lamb chops. All of this to say, other venues do not hold a candle to PC. It is a truly special place and the industry experts they have in place ensure you have the most seamless and stress-free wedding planning experience you or your family could ever hope to have. Victoria Sacco(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-06-2017 SIMPLY OUTSTANDING. I really cannot adequately articulate how storybook, fairytale PERFECT our wedding day was. We were married at the Pleasantdale on June 3rd, 2017, and from the first moment we arrived on the property (nearly 2 years earlier), to the actual day itself, we had the most extraordinary experience working with the team at Pleasantdale. It is this incredible team of people at Pleasantdale that makes it THE best wedding venue, hands down. The service, attention to detail, and execution is absolutely INCREDBLE. Add to this the breathtaking aesthetic of the estate, the phenomenal menu, and wonderful accommodations – and you have just absolute perfection. Everything we could have ever needed, wanted, and then some, was taken care of by the Pleasantdale staff – often without us even having to think about it. We have received so many compliments about our wedding – people have unanimously agreed that it was THE BEST wedding they had ever been to. It was beyond worth every penny we spent. We worked with Fred Fogg from our initial visit, throughout the entire planning process, and just cannot say enough about how thorough and helpful Fred was to us – he really helped us to craft our absolute dream wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, and on the day itself, we had the pleasure of working with Santiago, the maître d’ – he is truly the “secret” behind what makes Pleasantdale so amazing. I don’t know that I have ever met someone who is as passionate about their work as Santiago – he put his heart and soul into making our day absolute perfection, and it truly was. Fred, Santiago, Dominique, Veronica, Dawn, and the rest of the team – thank you does not even come close to describing how truly grateful we are for giving us the wedding of our dreams. We have memories worth a lifetime from our wedding day, and it will be a day we will truly cherish forever and all credit is due to the Pleasantdale and this remarkable team of people. Pleasantdale Chateau was the second venue my husband and I visited (after Park Savoy). As we pulled up the long drive-way, we forgot we were in NJ for a moment. Once we pulled up, both of us looked at each other- we knew we HAD to get married here- we never saw anything like this place! Throughout the tour, Fred Fogg sold us instantly, but just walking around the chateau, you felt like you were in a fairytale. Throughout the planning process, Fred, Dawn and the rest of the staff were amazing to us. However, Santiago, our maitre d, stole the show. I instantly fell in love with him, and he made sure every single last detail was perfect the day of our wedding! Every bride needs a Santiago in their life! Everyone was so professional, and organized, which made the planning leading up to the wedding actually enjoyable. The day of our wedding, my husband and I felt like royalty. Getting married here, we expected the best, but everything exceeded our expectations -by a million. My husband and I were each assigned an assistant for the day, who literally made sure we had everything we needed, before we could even ask for it! The entire wedding was pure perfection, and every single guest told us this was by far the best wedding they ever attended! Coming from an italian family, I knew the food was super important. Well, our cocktail hour alone left my hard to please italian family in awe! My husband and I had our own private cocktail party before we joined the actual cocktail hour, which was nice as I can say I personally tried everything served at my wedding. The night of our wedding, our suite had a bottle of champagne, pieces of our wedding cake, and a tray of all the desserts waiting for us. They even remembered by husband and I were high school sweethearts and wrote “class of 2008” on our plates! We also had a 2 hour after party here, and a breakfast the morning after, and like the wedding, the food and service were perfection. If you do not want to have to worry about ONE thing the day of your wedding except enjoying your time, then Pleasantdale is the perfect place for you to have your wedding! To be honest, I am not sure any other venue could compete with this place in my eyes! I could go on forever, but all it takes is for you to visit this place to realize how magical and perfect it truly is. The whole PDC staff treats you like family, and I'm so sad I don't have an excuse to go there anytime soon! We will forever be grateful for being able to have our fairytale wedding here. All of it can’t be put into words, it requires a real life experience to see that it’s the venue where dreams come true. As a wedding photographer/videographer the details matter, and it all starts with what I believe to be the most impressive grounds of any venue I’ve shot in the Tri State area. From the moment you step foot on the property you’ll be transported to the land of far far way, a fairy tale kingdom where your magnificent evening is spent on an impeccably manicured estate. Every image is part of a story book where elegance, charm, and beauty collide. As part of the royal treatment, the food is to die for. It’s obvious that there are creative minds putting a great deal of care to this delicious twist of international cuisines and unique specialized cocktails. I can’t speak for guests, but I can say that after having had the pleasure of working with the venue’s amazing staff it’s clear why they all fall in love with this establishment’s epic service. There’s a saying that you’re only good as your last event; that’s precisely what the staff of the Pleasantdale live by. Anyone who has been to the Pleasantdale Chateau or heard about it by word of mouth has, for the most part, probably heard great things about it. Well, our experience was very different. It was one of unprofessional and unscrupulous behavior and very unbecoming to a venue that holds itself to be anything but that. Due to very unfortunate circumstances we had to cancel our daughter's wedding 3 months after we booked it and 13 months prior to the actual date. It recently became known to us that Pleasantdale had rebooked the date, but for a lesser amount (However, we have no proof of the amount of the new booking.). They initially kept a \"rebooking\" fee of $1200. We contacted them requesting the balance of our deposit, and we were told that was not happening. We even offered to accept a percentage of the balance, but that wasn't even up for discussion. I find it to be absolutely disgusting given the circumstances and the timing of the cancellation (13 months before the event). Pleasantdale Chateau is one of the busiest venues in New Jersey and, without a doubt, does not need our money to survive. I would think their reputation would mean more to them than holding on to someone's money when an entire family is going through a very tough time. Reviewed on 13-05-2017

Susan Friedman(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-03-2018 We had the pleasure of celebrating our daughter's wedding here this weekend and every word I tell you isn't nearly enough to describe the EXPERIENCE.For that is what the Pleasantdale Chateau (PDC) is.An experience. Our first introduction to PDC was with Fred Fogg, with whom we ultimately worked once we booked the place (once we saw it, we cancelled the rest of our appointments with other venues!).Fred is the consummate professional from top to bottom and he delivers on every single thing he promises. From our first step into the PDC, we were treated as honored guests with no \"hard sell\".PDC itself is a spectacular venue all on its own but it's all the other \"stuff\" that makes it stand out.I have NEVER seen such attentive, kind, smiling, patient staff anywhere ever.Every person took obvious pride in their jobs and they were trained beautifully. Our guests told us the staff answered their every need even before they knew they needed it!The personal attendants were remarkable in every way.My personal attendant, Dominique, was masterful.A few times I got a bit emotional and out of nowhere comes a hand from behind me, passing me a tissue!I never even saw her, she was there but not there. When I would get up from my seat in the ballroom, she straightened out my shoes under my chair.Who does that?Seriously! No one could see if my shoes were askew but Dominique cared enough to attend even to that.At one point while getting dressed, we had a problem with my husband's bowtie.I called the desk and asked if Dominique could come help and I don't think the receiver was back in the cradle before she knocked on our door. The bride and groom each had their own attendants who were at their beck and call the entire time, and always with a smile and a steady hand.Veronica attended the bride and made sure her train was always straight, her needs met. When she handed my daughter her bouquet to carry down the aisle, she showed her where she'd hidden tissues within the flowers in case of emergency! She made sure the bride had food and drinks whenever she needed or wanted them. And speaking of the food, I will channel my inner adolescent and say OMG OMG OMG.This was not food, it was art for the palette.Every single thing was cooked to perfection. The cocktail hour was stupendous. The chefs are a credit to their profession. To be able to prepare those delights for SO many people and make everything taste wonderful is just incredible. We were fortunate enough to have a dignitary attend the wedding and he said,\"The food here is better than The White House\". You will NEVER see a cocktail hour like at the PDC. Other venues make promises but believe me, there is no comparison.Other venues have typical banquet foods but PDC has gastronomic gifts! The main courses were cooked TO ORDER.How is that even possible? The pass around desserts were insanely wonderful and FUN.The maitre'd Santiago is spectacular! He runs the show in the funniest, calmest, most confident way and truly allowed us to feel like guests at our own party. There was not one single moment of worry about anything at all. I knew he had our backs 100%.Fred's assistant Dawn is a delight. Professional, warm, sweet and completely capable of handling anything thrown her way. From the second we drove up the wooded path we knew this was the place we were going to get married. We met with Fred who was amazing in giving us a tour and discussing our options. When my husband looked at me and said I need to get married here was when I knew we would not be happy anywhere else. We booked that day and never looked back! All throughout the planning process Fred and Dawn were outstanding, answering every question this anxious bride had with professionalism and kindness. Fred and Santiago were wonderful in helping us pick a custom menu that was vegetarian friendly but still had something for everyone. We were a little weary about not doing a tasting but believe me the food does not disappoint. We are still hearing from out guests how outstanding the food was! The day of the wedding we were running late due to a long church ceremony and summer traffic, to say I was stressed out was an understatement. Santiago, our bridal attendants and the staff did an absolutely wonderful job in helping us get out pictures done, calming me down and making sure we had time to sample cocktail hour in the bridal suite. The entire night was flawless thanks to Santiago, he truly is the gem of the pleasantdale! We were so blown away, we decided to do an ALL weekend wedding event here-rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception and a brunch on Sunday. From Friday-Sunday we were treated like royalty by their staff. Both sets of our parents, my husband, and I all had our own assistant given by the location-I have never seen this type of treatment at a wedding venue, let alone any venue for that matter. The execution of the event was FLAWLESS. The attention to detail was above and beyond, and they even surprised us to make things more special, which we didn't think was possible. Every staff member was out to please us and the delivery was EXCEPTIONAL, more than we could have dreamed of-not ONE mistake, nothing missed, and a staff that were willing to go over the top to have the weekend turn out absolutely PERFECT! We got our fairytale after all. Given it was a weekend FULL of activity and events, we couldn't believe how magical they made this for us and how they didn't miss a thing! We have been receiving phone calls and texts about \"the wedding of the year\" and how incredible they thought everything went. They too commented on the overall excellence of the staff, service and how Pleasantdale didn't miss a beat! For people to tell us that, we knew this place was one in a million, maybe even one in a billion! The only thing negative is that the weekend had to end, and these people became our family. We would recommend this venue for ANY type of event-they can handle anything! You will be overwhelmed with the amount of positive feedback you get and how special they make you feel. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere, because you won't find it better than this! And I know this because...in addition to being the bride for this weekend, I am also a full time event planner in NYC. I WISH every venue and company were this easy and amazing to work with-they are a DREAM on all accounts. We look forward to hosting another event for our friends and family again at this location. Fred Fogg took us around to show us the grounds and we fell in love. We thought we wanted to get married in NYC, but after seeing PDC, that thought was completely wiped away. But having now gone through the experience of having our wedding there, that feeling is only further reinforced 100 times over. We’ve never been married before, but we can’t imagine many places, if any, would come close to what we experienced. And not necessarily because of the venue itself, and how tastefully elegant it is, or how stunning the grounds are, or perfectly private it is, but because of the people. The people at PDC are the sole reason to get married there. When we say they treat you like a king and queen for a day, we truly mean it. It was beyond anything we could have imagined it would be, how they were at our beckon call for absolutely anything and everything we needed the entire day. Each of us had our own personal attendant (Camilla, Dominique, Leslie) who were within reaching distance whenever we needed them, and with how hot it was the day we got married, we were so lucky to have them give us water and towels and everything in between while we got ready and took pictures. And that level of service lasted throughout the entire night. But before our wedding day even came, the impeccable service had already begun to take place. Dawn was our main point of contact leading up to the wedding, answering any and all questions we may have had, coordinating all meetings or drop offs, and always doing so extremely quickly, showing us the kind of attention that made us feel like we were in great hands. When things can be hectic in the coming weeks before the big day, she made sure everything went as smooth as possible, so we had nothing to stress about. And then once the big day came, it was Santiago, the maître d, who stole the show. He’s the one who makes everything happen, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. To say that he is absolutely incredible would be a horrible understatement. His attention to detail and awareness of everything that’s going on at all times is insane. He will make sure that your wedding is exactly how you imagined it, and he’ll do it with flare. We will forever thank Fred, Santiago, Camilla, Dominique, Leslie, and the rest of the staff for everything they did for us on the most important day of our lives Beyond the staff, as people who love food, we can tell you that the cocktail hour was fit for a king and queen, at Michelin star quality. Bottomline, if you can get married at the Pleasantdale Chateau, do it. You won’t regret it. Reviewed on 18-09-2016

It goes without saying that the venue is astonishingly beautiful and unique - the Music Room and the Ballroom are breathtaking and the rest of the place is the stuff of fantastic memories - but it was certainly the staff and the attention that made the venue such a joy for us. Our maitre d' was a wonderful gentleman named Santiago and his direct supervisor was Fred Fogg. Santiago was able to help us set up a fantastic sparkler exit with all of our family and friends. They even lent a hand directly with the florist and helped us find the best spots for photography that day. During the party, the wait staff and Santiago himself paid the closest attention to everything and nobody was left wanting for anything. Fred offered us what we had already discuss with Andrew but also presented some of his ideas and new visions. We trusted him with everything he recommended and he over delivered. Meeting with Fred and Santiago to discuss some of the changes/upgrades we could add to the event was a little nerve wracking, but we gave them the ball and let them run with it. I am so happy and grateful we trusted Fred with his new ideas and visions for the PC. His ideas are novel, fun, and memorable. Fred listens to your ideas and looks for ways to make them happen as opposed to finding reasons why they can't. You could have your wedding ther and attend another and it could feel like two spectacular, albeit, different events. However some things that will remain consistent are the food being EXCELLENT and WAY above \"wedding food par\" they honestly need their own category it's so good, the service: you will feel like a superstar on the day of your wedding, and the detail-orientated nature of staff will put you at ease because they literally have everything covered before you even think of it. \r\rOur maitra'd was Santiago who has been with Pleasantdale for over 10 years. Lindsay Williams(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-08-2014 Where do I begin....the service that was provided to me at Pleasantdale Chateau was absolutely above and beyond- outstanding! I was very apprehensive when I first started searching from my dream venue for my wedding. My fiance and I live in Chicago, and we were planning for the wedding to be in New Jersey. My future in-laws did all of the searching for me- they saw at least 20 venues (I lost count!) in the East Coast (CT, NJ, NY). From the moment they walked into Pleasantdale, they knew it was something different. The photos that they sent to me via email did not even do it justice. Since my date was the last one available for 2014, I had to book without seeing it first. For a future bride, that is difficult. A month later, my fiancee and I went to see our wedding venue and were blown away. Laura Madden, our sales manager, wowed us from the second we met her. Being a wedding planner myself, she knew exactly the right things to say. I have never seen a more magical, romantic, beautiful setting for a wedding- it is just undescribable. Fast forward to the planning- Laura responded to my emails (and there were many) immediately. She always calmed me down and had the answer for everything- even when it was something that did not have to do with Pleasantdale. Finally, the day of my wedding....everything was perfect. Santiago, the captain, is outstanding- he knew everything that we needed before we even needed it. He was kind, helpful, and very professional. All of the staff at Pleasantdale were amazing- I even had a bridal attendant that followed me around and waited on my every move. Now, to the food- amazing as well! The cocktail hour is out of this world- I have guests from the wedding that are still raving about it! If you are having your wedding in the New Jersey area- Pleasantdale is the place to go. There was absolutely no air conditioning which was a problem on a hot, sunny Friday. \r\rGuests were lead to the ceremony and then to cocktail hour. Cocktail hour was scattered through a main room and a hallway and an outside are. The food was delicious, especially the three cheese pear beggars purse. However, there were hardly enough seats and it was very hard to mingle.\r\rTo the ballroom we went. The actual decore of the ballroom doesn't match the feel of the outside. We were also annoyed that the specialty cocktails served during cocktail hour were not available any more. All the food after the cocktail hour was a disappointment. The service was also subpar. In fact, one waitress was scolding another waiteess because she was training her. This was not appropriate, especially at the Wedding Party's table. The service rushed through each course. In fact, my breadplate was taken out from under me as I was eating. All in all, it seemed like the staff couldn't wait for 1230 to get us out of there.\r\rThe afterparty was very impressive. The bar was only open another hour or so but there was more food and the location was nice.\rAlthough I would have preferred being outside on such a nice night.\r\r\rWe went to the bridal suite after to continue the party and we all found it odd that you walked through the bathroom to the sitting room. \r\r\rOur room at Le Petit Chateaux was lackluster as we didn't have air conditioning. \r\rSo in my opinion, for $350 a head I believe it's a bit overpriced for the experience. Two young ladies, Jaylina and Lesly, were there with me and helped me with whatever I needed. I got married just a year ago at the Setai hotel in Miami, payed top dollar, and never got treatment like this. Throughout the wedding the entire staff was fully on point. They made sure my brother and sister-in-law had no worries at all. This place is so breathtaking too so the outdoor ceremony was stunning and didn't need much added since the scenery was beautiful to begin with. The Manager, Santiago, was constantly asking the whole family and guests if they needed anything and I saw him throughout the whole wedding micro managing (in a good way)so everything was perfect. During dinner I realized I forgot a blanket for my baby and the waiter, Lior, got me sheets from the chateau. Lior seemed like he was my personal waiter with the way he took care of us but he was just that quick and multi-tasked like I've never seen before. Again, just a year ago we spend well over $100k on a 78 person wedding at the Setai Miami and the Pleasandale Chataeu made my wedding look like a joke!
