Located in wine country in Livermore, CA, Poppy Ridge Golf Course is a stylish wedding venue. With stunning surroundings and convenient amenities, couples are invited to celebrate their love in this elegant setting. This golf club can host both the ceremony and reception, as well as vow renewals. Poppy Ridge Golf Course sits in the East Bay Area, offering a fashionable venue for your biggest moments. Events director Abby Trask, a Livermore local, is on hand to help couples take advantage of all that the club has to offer. She is passionate about sharing the beauty of the property with to-be-weds. Abby is also enthusiastic about getting to know couples and giving them the wedding they've dreamed of. Your ceremony at Poppy Ridge Golf Course can be held outdoors, where lush hills and picturesque ponds form the backdrop. From here, you can move with your new spouse towards the north terrace for cocktail hour. This space allows you to marvel at the glorious wine country sunset before you retire to the reception room. Its bay windows make sure you still feel connected to the outdoors, with a sense of spaciousness being created by the high ceilings. Your reception setup is custom designed to suit your vision for the day. The club also houses a dressing room for the couple and their party to use as they finish preparing for the day ahead. To help inspire your planning choices, the team here can supply a list of recommended vendors. These cover anything from videography to overnight accommodations for out-of-town guests. Food and catering can be arranged by the onsite team.

From start to finish everything went smoothly. Isa was amazing in all aspects in organizing our event (and keeping us organized!), assisting with our catering, seating charts, vendors, etc. My husband and I would highly recommend Poppy Ridge for any event!

My husband & I recently got married at Poppy Ridge in May 2023 and everything was lovely. Terrific location for the ceremony, gorgeous photo locations along the golf course and nearby hills with vineyards in the distance, delicious food, and attentive staff. We would definitely recommend this venue for other couples looking to get married in the Livermore wine valley area.

We enjoyed the Poppy Ridge venue and it offered the most amazing background for pictures. We received a lot of help from Isadora in regards to finalizing day of details and the set up of the venue overall. I would recommend hiring a wedding coordinator who can help with more minor details and set up for the day of. The food was amazing and our guests raved about the midnight snack of sliders and fries. We appreciate the great help of the staff who help everything run smoothly and made the clean up process so easy for us.

This venue is beautiful and gives a Tuscan/mission feel! Our wedding photos turned out beautiful with the venue as the background. The food was great, and they gave us a choice to have a signature drink which was fun! The pricing of the venue as a whole was very reasonable especially for where it is located. The only downside we experienced was with the organization of the staff during our planning process with them as well as the rehearsal. Other than that, I would totally recommend this venue but just advise that you are organized and double check the detail.

We had our wedding here end of April and we had the best experience!We worked with Isadora and Abby for over a year and they were always very helpful and communicative with even the smallest of questions. We moved states during our planning so they were able to move up our food tastings to accommodate our move and were responsive with continued planning over phone and email.The food was FABULOUS and we got feedback from guests all night long that it was the best wedding food they've ever had! They made our custom drinks one by one and exactly how we wanted them! We appreciated the attention to the detail and the ease of having everything all in one spot.Would highly recommend!

The views are to die for as well and it makes for amazing photos! The food was a huge hit and our guests were raving about it all. First off, Poppy Ridge is so accommodating! We had to reschedule our wedding a couple months later due to family stuff. So we changed it to September 24th. Abby and Isa were the best ! They made this day so smooth for us. Isa girl we loved you! Thank you for actually being apart of our wedding and getting us in line because I know our families weren’t easy. The FOOD, okay we had prime rib and salmon, ugh delicious! We’re still talking about it and it’s been 2 days since the wedding. The view was gorgeous, the sunset was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you all again !

Both of them were very friendly and helped to make sure everything was taken care of so the day of my wedding I could enjoy the day stress free. The staff was very helpful at the end of the night to ensure I was able to connect all my items and packaged things for me and placed them in the bridal suite. The venue was beautiful - the ceremony area had great views of the green hills of the golf course! We also had our wedding pics taken up there. The inside of the reception building was beautiful as well - very clean. The food was super delicious - all our guests loved it.Leanne the day of coordinator for our wedding was extremely helpful. She is very responsive and answered all our questions leading up to the wedding. She is very professional and friendly. The entire team at Poppy Ridge did a great job to help us have an awesome time at our wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly

We planned to get married at Poppy Ridge May 2020 but due to Covid, had to reschedule to August 2020, then May 2021, before ultimately cancelling. Poppy Ridge was the second venue we toured and we probably should have stopped looking that day. Every venue we saw after, we kept comparing to Poppy Ridge. Between the beautiful property, the catering price, everything that was included, plus how friendly and accommodating the staff was; no one could beat it. Abby was always quick to respond to all our questions. We did our menu tasting in Jan 2020 so even though we ended up not having our wedding there, I can attest that the food is amazing. I’ve heard horror stories of venues pressuring couples to get married on their original date or charging them hundreds of dollars to reschedule or limiting their options to mid-week weddings. I am happy to say that Abby and Poppy Ridge did none of that. Abby encouraged us to do what was best for us, whether that was rescheduling another year or cancelling. I know that Abby, Leanne and team would have executed an amazing wedding. If we ever decide to have a vow renewal or reception, Poppy Ridge will be at the top of our list.

They were so kind and understanding, and quick to respond, throughout the whole process and brought great ease of mind. The ceremony and cocktail hour space outside had a beautiful view of the hills of Livermore, the indoor reception venue spacious and beautiful, and the food at our tasting was delicious. I'm so sad to not be able to celebrate here... but I highly recommend Poppy Ridge for any celebration!

I forget how I found Poppy Ridge, but I'm so glad I did. It wasn't even a question after touring and meeting with Abby if we were going to book or not. We booked shortly after and it was the BEST decision ever. I know, I know there is not much information, social media etc about Poppy Ridge for Weddings, but let me say this, I don't think I could've chosen a better venue with the best Coordinators ever!The venue is gorgeous, super relaxed with anything and everything, and very accommodating. Inside and Outside were amazing, the ceremony was a great patio with gorgeous views, and very large. We had our wedding on September 1st, and because of that, they had the patio lights strung across the patio area which we also used for the dance floor, photo booth and ice cream serving. There was plenty of room for the DJ, and of course they had the side patio for cocktail hour which was more than enough room for everyone including cornhole. The inside might seem like it's not big enough, but it fit 13 tables, a head table, cake table and the buffet tables very comfortably. The hardwood floors were gorgeous and if you add some uplighting with your light package, it totally outdoes it. Abby was our main contact throughout the entire process. She was very responsive and thorough with every email I sent and every question I had. I don't think I could've calmed my nerves without her being so attentive with my wedding. She was so sweet and lovely and so great to work with. When we had our menu tasting we were introduced to Leanne. And Leanne would be our contact from there on out, but Abby would still respond if needed. Leanne was amazing throughout and day of! She handled everything with care and knew exactly what she was doing. I don't think I would've gotten through my wedding day without her there. She was on top of everything, and had every answer to every question. The end of the night was great, everything went smoothly and I can say for sure, it went by super quick. But Leanne was there until the end. My wedding planner and Leanne cleaned up, put my stuff in my vehicle and made sure everyone got on the shuttle or in their cars at the end of the night. The Poppy Ridge team was prompt in responding and answering questions. The price was also reasonable for the location and services provided. Guests felt very comfortable and were amazed by the gorgeous view. Staff took care of set up and tear down of tables and chairs, as well as serving food and cake. Details for timeline, seating chart, ceremony procession, etc. were all discussed ahead of time. The day of coordinator was there to coordinate wedding party members, vendors, and staff. She was also there the day before for the wedding rehearsal, which made things run smoothly. I do recommend hiring someone to take care of the extra details such as setting up the aisle runner, any projectors, screens, guest book, favors, table numbers, etc. as they are not in charge of setting those up. I also recommend hiring a good DJ that will follow the timeline and make announcements when needed, as well as check in with the coordinator throughout the day. Since this venue is also a restaurant, there will be a limit to how early vendors will be able to set up. Any changes in terms of schedule can be discussed and the venue tried their best to adjust to our needs. The food was amazing and guests had more than enough to eat. Overall, we recommend this venue if you want a great wedding experience with an amazing view.

Having our ceremony and reception at Poppy Ridge was one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding. We visited 5 different venues and chose Poppy Ridge because:- they were very responsive, answered all our questions and spent the time to give us plenty of details- the site is beautiful- prices were within our budget- they (already) had excellent reviews on The Knot.Abby and Leanne have been incredibly helpful both for planning and during the wedding day. They were always very fast to respond and have a handy website/portal to follow up with emails, documents, payments etc.The tasting session was great, we went over all the decoration details, many food choices (it was hard to pick), the chef (chef Ray) was very helpful too and brought suggestions and personalized changes.The place was ideal for- the ceremony: outside, nice background, enough space, and some decoration items were provided (arch, wine barrels, easel for welcome sign...)- cocktail hour: people could chill outside while enjoying the view- reception: the room inside was big enough, we really liked the layout of bar / dance floor / building and it could be decorated easily (mostly flowers and light for us)- pictures along the golf course: we got really cool wedding pics with natural and romantic backgrounds :)We did not have a wedding planner and it was not an issue during the wedding event, Leanne helped us a lot from welcoming the vendors to following the time line for photo tour, food etc...Many of our guests gave us very good feedback on the food and location. My guests all commented that the food was delicious, service impeccable, venue was stunning and the night perfect! We are anxiously waiting for our pictures and be welcomed back from our honeymoon. My husband and I got married this past weekend and would not have changed a thing about our venue! Poppy Ridge is such a beautiful place and the coordinator, Abby, was so easy to work with! We visited many golf courses in the area and Poppy Ridge was by far the most organized and gave us the most confidence that they could deliver what we wanted, and they did! Guests were complimenting that the entire day and evening was seamless! As many brides do, I had many questions and specific requests throughout the planning process. Abby and Leanne were always quick to respond to all of them. Our guests absolutely loved the food and all complimented that the staff was quick and efficient, especially the bar service! This is a gorgeous venue and the service is outstanding! We will definitely be back to have more of their food and to see the staff who made our day so amazing! :)

The views, patio area and Abby were ultimately what made us decide on Poppy Ridge. Their pricing was fair and reasonable unlike many other venues we looked at, Poppy Ridge did not charge us for every little thing. The food was delicious and we have heard nothing but rave reviews from our guests about it. Doing a buffet we were slightly worried about food staying hot but that was no issue! We were bummed that we would miss out on appetizers, we were really excited about the passed options we picked, so they put some in the room for us to eat before taking pictures. Abby was an absolute dream to work with! She responded quickly, answered questions in an easy to understand way so my husband and I weren’t left still trying to figure out the answer. She was so personable and you could tell she enjoyed her job and took the worry off our shoulders.

Wedding planning isn't easy. There's a lot of pros and cons you have to weigh, such as cost, quality of food, venue, contingencies in the event of bad weather, parking and customer service. Poppy Ridge is hands down the best option in all of these. Abby (the sales rep and coordinator for us) was amazing. She's polite, gives thorough and clear answers to our questions, gave us a break down of costs, worked with us every step of the way, coordinated the food tasting, coordinated the day of, helped with the rehearsal, answered last minute emails, and was very patient with us as we struggled to figure out details. Our wedding was beautiful, the venue was perfect and so was the weather! Working with Abby was great she was on top of everything from the very beginning and made it easy to focus on what we needed to. The food was superb and so was the service. Highly recommend Poppy Ridge Golf Course to anyone looking for a full service venue.

Poppy Ridge was on the bottom of our list of potential venues for our wedding but when we went to visit it was clear the staff and the site were a cut above the rest. Our wedding was beautiful, the venue was perfect and so was the weather! Working with Abby was great she was on top of everything from the very beginning and made it easy to focus on what we needed to. The food was superb and so was the service. Highly recommend Poppy Ridge Golf Course to anyone looking for a full service venue.

This place is Livermore's best kept secret that I'm willing to share with all of you. After a frustrating afternoon of venue shopping on a rainy day, we came along to Poppy Ridge. We were blown away by the professionalism and hospitality of the staff right away. Brian, the event coordinator, was more than we ever could have asked for and I know our wedding day wouldn't have been as beautiful without him and his outstanding team. Brian and his team were so organized and made me feel relaxed throughout the whole planning process. I didn't feel stressed at all the day of the wedding because I knew I was in good hands. Oh, and I have to also give a little shoutout to Becky, thanks for taking us to the best photo-op spots! They have an excellent selection of different food and beverage packages that can fit just about anyone's budget, but still makes your wedding feel very special. The food we selected for our buffet was to die for, and I have quite a few foodie friends who raved about the food. Seriously, don't waste your time looking at any other venue, Poppy Ridge has everything you need!

This review is for the use of the venue for our wedding. Hands down this was the perfect place for us for our wedding. We worked with venue coordinator Brian Garza and he was fantastic. He was always prompt to get back to us on the days he was working, well organized, clearly well experienced with event planning at the venue and didn't hesitate at any of our requests. Brian was definitely a dream to work with and was so easy going during the entire process. He put up with us and all our crazy friends and family ;)The day of the wedding, just last night, I felt I had nothing to worry about. I trusted Brian and his staff completely. Beckie was beyond amazing. I'm sorry I didn't get her title, but she was wonderful. She helped out with every little detail and any thing. She was a one stop shop!! She was so kind, warm and helped with decor set up, my dress before I walked down the aisle, driving the golf cart to the beautiful picturesque locations...she is a gem. I Heard not one complaint about the food...the filet was on point, the chicken was tender and juicy and the drinks were well poured! The service ran smooth, the staff was professional. Mike and Brad were personable and awesome bartenders! Couldn't have asked for better service. We are truly grateful for the staff at Poppy Ridge and can say the night was flawless. Thank you so much for all of your hard work.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at Poppy Ridge in July 2015. Brian, the event coordinator, was extremely helpful throughout the process and took care of everything on our wedding day so we didn't have to worry. All catering was provided by the venue, and our guests were very happy with the food. The golf course setting was beautiful and looked amazing in our photos. This is definitely a good choice for a venue in the Livermore wine country, especially if you're looking for something more affordable than the surrounding wineries.

Poppy Ridge was the perfect location for our wedding. Our ceremony was held outside on the deck overlooking the golf course and vineyard and the sunset was absolutely breathtaking. Our guests could not stop commenting on the delicious bacon wrapped scallops and other delicious passed appetizers. Our meal was cooked to perfection and the Coordinator Brian Garza is top notch and was 100% responsive during my entire year of planning.

The golf course is an obvious beauty, but the actualy building was perfect for my wedding as well. The people that helped - Brian Garza - made the day so amazing. The staff there is just so nice and accomadating and so willing to do what you want (obviously within reason). I had so many compliments from my guests about the beauty of the place along with the staff. A MUST TO VISIT! Oh and for everything that they offered it was like insanely fair in cost. The food is amazing - loved the cheif- the full bar was a STEAL of a price. I cant say enough great things about this place. SERIOUSLY just go and visit it. It is more than worth it!

We had a great experience with Poppy Ridge. We booked the venue 9 months in advance and dealt with Becky, the head event coordinator. She was prompt with returning emails and phone calls and very thorough. She has done hundreds of weddings, and was able to recommend other vendors, which was great. The venue was a great price, especially for the amt of people that it could hold, and provided catering- food and beverage. The alcohol options were more extensive then they would have been if we had had our wedding at a winery. We were able to meet with the head chef for a tasting, and he was great- talking us through why he chose certain sauces, how the food is locally grown, and answering all of our questions.... we had a blast during the tasting! The appetizers (we're told since we were off taking pics) were great, and the dinners were awesome and the portions large- we got a lot of compliments from our guests! The staff at Poppy Ridge was amazing before and during our wedding day. Super personable and professional, a huge perk of this venue. We highly recommend this vendor!!

The Poppy Ridge makes for beautiful photos!! Such a pretty place. We overall had a good experience at the Poppy. Everyone said the food was super good! My issue was we did not get any. We (bride and groom) were taking some quick photos outside during the sunset and they cleared our full non eaten plates. I wish they would have put it aside for us to eat as it was such crazy day and night. Also the bar tender was not very polite to my guest. Other than that they were very nice and helpful. Our wedding went really smooth and looked beautiful.

We loved the fact that even though we were in Livermore, Poppy Ridge feels like a secluded, intimate location that is quiet and serene. The view from the clubhouse is gorgeous especially in the spring and winter, rolling green hills. The staff is incredible and willing to help in any way. They were very friendly. The food was terrific and the guests still continue to talk about it.
