If the weather is lovely, have your outdoor ceremony on our large paved Outdoor Courtyard with a over 123 acres of meadows as the serene backdrop. Inside, visitors can be welcomed into the luxurious Clubroom with its 35-foot wooden-beamed ceiling, designer furniture, built-in bar and a roaring fireplace is ideal for your cocktail hour! After a few drinks and hors d'oeuvres, guests are invited into the central celebration space of this venue, our Ballroom. Featuring over 35-foot, handcrafted cupola ceilings this pillarless ballroom is capable of welcoming up to 210 guests for a seated dinner. Post 6 was a wonderful venue for our wedding. It was the first place that we visited, and nothing else was good enough after that. We came back after checking out a ton of other venues and realizing nothing could measure up.Firstly the place is beautiful. It's nestled back in the woods, quiet and private. It has a nice lake to look out on, and everything is immaculately clean, bright, fresh and new.They have a great bar, a big kitchen for the caterers to stage in and the ballroom was beautiful. There is plenty of parking and the restrooms were kept clean and fresh throughout.During the planning they were there for us every step of the way. They happily accommodated us for visits to plan and arrange our big day. They didn't charge us anything extra to do our engagement photos there.On the day of the event they had a person on hand to make sure everything went smoothly. He was always willing to lend a helping hand with our setup, really going above and beyond.

Planning a wedding during the pandemic was indeed stressful; however, working with Mrs. Jo Ellen and Post 6 made the process smooth and most of all…enjoyable. The facility is beautiful and our guests cannot stop talking about their experience. Choosing Post 6 as our venue was spot on.

Amazing! Not only were we impressed with the facility, but it was the Event Coordinator (Jo Ellen Musee) who really sold this place for us! The facility is beautiful and spacious, and offered at fair price points among the packages. Initially we never thought to look at American Legion posts to have our wedding, but very glad we did. The space is very new and modern, having just been built within this past year. If you are lucky enough to have your wedding in the warm months, there is even a beautiful patio space out back that could very easily serve as the ceremony site, as well as a gazebo and pond for pictures. Jo Ellen even recommended our Planner, Dogwood Gatherings and Events, who really ensured that we were prepared for our wedding and that it ran smoothly. This place is really a hidden gem, nestled off of the road in Chapel Hill on HWY 54. We highly recommend!
