I was here for my sister's wedding last weekend. Let me start off by giving my honest opinion as a wedding coordinator. Ive seen it all. This place is a very basic, and generic wedding venue. The staff was not friendly at all. The food was absolutely aweful. The potatoes were hard and unseasoned. Asparagus/green beans were hard. Salmon was mushy and bland. The steaks that came out looked extremely unappetizing and had a wet look to them. They were pale and not cooked properly. Even a simple wedge salad was bad. We were eating the kids chicken tenders, thats how bad it was. The quality of the food is absolutely poor. Down to the ranch dressing, it tasted like the cheap grocery store brand. I'm shocked at all the reviews on here and their Google page. For couples who want an upscale atmosphere to celebrate their big day, this is not it. The carpets are aweful and the room looks drab and rundown. The only positive thing I can say is that the bartenders are generous with the alcohol and the drinks were strong. I will not be recommending this place for any future clients. I wish I was able to leave 0 stars.

Presidential is such an amazing venue. Meredith and all the servers and staff were outstanding. Excellent communication and took such great care of us. Pricing was very reasonable. Beautiful venue. The food was absolutely amazing too. They really made our day a dream come true.

Had my wedding reception her June 29th 2019. Everything was run smoothly and perfect. It rained, and they didn't hesitate to last minute use their indoor parlor to let us get pictures done. Guests told me the food was amazing, they kept raving about the salmon. Staff was phenomenal. A great affordable party for us on the best day ever! Thanks Gus and team!! Gus is very knowledgeable in the wedding industry and was very helpful and trustworthy. He worked great with the rental company I hired to do our decor. We rented the Roosevelt room which was so nice and lots of space for our 120 guests or so. Buffet was delicious. Cake was delicious and included in package! We did butter cream with vanilla and cream cheese filling. soooo good. Just be advised that they are a bit strict with certain decor and ideas - they will not put their facility in danger of any damage whatsoever. So nothing can hang from ceiling, no candelabras lit (unless enclosed by glass), no sports-related activities allowed inside.

My husband and I loved the fact that it was a family business, and you could tell the family wanted to make our day special, which they did! Everything went very smoothly. Wedding Date 20-10-2018
We loved the venue and staff upon our 1st visit. We emailed the Maitre'd a few times with no reply regarding questions, so we emailed the owner and made 2 calls to get a response. About a month before the wedding again my wife emailed the Maitre'd to discuss the food since we haven't heard from them. We were under the impression we would have a tasting but they don't do separate tastings you have to come to a group one & pay $35 a person. We misunderstood but the attitude that came from Meredith the Maitre'd was uncalled for! She spoke to my wife as if she was an idiot! For the rehearsal again just very short & rude. She toured the room with me while my wife was downstairs even though I said can we please discuss this with her & then rushed through the rehearsal and left when we still had questions. The day of the wedding it was even worse. She was yelling & kept disappearing. At one point she looked at me and my wife while doing pictures and said \" are you going to keep taking pictures or go enjoy your cocktail hour\" I'm not sure why she thinks its professional to speak to clients in this manner. Our one table was wrong & I personally asked her to get the 2 chairs that were missing she never came back so after 15 minutes of my boss standing I went & located 2 chairs myself. Even her staff was complaining. She was rude to our vendors & guests. She seemed like she wanted nothing to do with our wedding! My wife hid herself when the guests showed up because we didn't know where to go and yet again where is Meredith. After the ceremony she took my wife's picture of her deceased mother and put it face down on a random table when we had a whole memory table set up so my wife grabbed the picture and placed it where it belonged. Worst part we were the 1st wedding so there was no one else being attended too. As the night started to end she actually argued with the maid of honor because they mistakenly took our etched wine glass that said Mrs. & she argued they did not have it and the glasses are the glasses they supply. The maid of honor said it's missing & can you please just look we are standing right next to the kitchen what is the big deal. This continued for another 2 minutes until she just went and looked and there is the GLASS! As we leave two of the waitresses get into a fight! We left so quick to just get away that we didn't even get our cake. My wife wrote a review not including ANY of the above complaints because she honestly just wanted an apology on the way we were treated in regards to Meredith. The owner called and apologized and said she is going through some things but it’s unacceptable and offered to send us a pastry platter for any upcoming holiday parties we may have as an apology. We were happy he called & wanted to move on. I'm assuming Meredith did not appreciate our review and decided to continue her ignorance. She disputed the review which is just ignorant. But to make matters even WORSE she actually had the AUDACITY to call our DJ and request he write a rebuttal to our review and say we were lying so she could have the review deleted permanently. He couldn’t believe she was bullying him into lying so she could delete our review. I mean why go to that extreme to have a review deleted? We now have to send check receipts to the website to prove we actually booked with Presidential! My wife worked so hard on this wedding and to have it turn out like this and be treated like this is disgusting.

We loved everything about Presidential from the very first meeting which was checking out the venue and discussing costs, an overview. I was in a horrible accident three weeks before our wedding. Our wedding date was significant to us because it was the date we met 14 years ago. Changing the date wasn’t an option on our end. Gus and Meredith both offered a date change but we declined. From the day they heard about the accident until the day I walked into the the venue in my wedding dress they were more than accommodating. Everything was beautiful for our wedding day. I was able to use the elevator to go up to our reception room and all of our guests cannot stop talking about the food, the beautiful set up and environment and how great the service was. Thank you Gus and daughters for making our day magical!!

The Presidential was everything we wanted for our big day, and more. We booked a couple years in advance to prepare for our finances, and they were very accommodating by keeping us at that year's rate. Gus and Meredith went over all of our options, explaining exactly what came with the package, and answered all of our questions by phone and e-mail whenever we needed them. The food was simply amazing - my wife and I refused to miss out on cocktail hour mingling, and we were assigned an assistant for the night who brought us snacks, dinner and drinks whenever we needed them. The meats, veggies, hors d'ouvres, well drinks - everything was above and beyond our expectations. While we were intending on using the gazebo for an outdoor ceremony, our weekend was unfortunately hit with rainfall. Gus was ready during the week, and prepared a spot in one of the unused banquet rooms with a beautiful set of covered chairs and altar area. I can't recommend the Presidential enough. Visit them and see for yourself!

My Wedding was in July. The Ballroom was beautiful with the uplighting and chandeliers. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. We choose a stations cocktail hour, our guests are still raving about the selections. The cake was exactly like the photo I presented the pastry chef with and the dessert display included a fantastic range of sweets. My favorite photos are from the Gazebo at night. We will recommend the Presidential to all our Family and Friends

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Presidential. It's at a great location that is convenient for anyone in the Philadelphia area. We had an amazing day! They take care of everything. Food was great. The best wedding cake I have ever had. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting the food and service. The pricing is very reasonable. You can choose a package that meets your budget and needs. They are also flexible and work with you on anything you could ever want. They are responsive and answer all questions quickly.

VERY pleased! Outside ceremony in the gazebo was absolutely gorgeous. Very professional, delicious food, beautiful venue and reasonably priced. All family, friends and guests had a great experience and enjoyed the venue. I would absolutely recommend.

Presidential Caterers did an amazing job for our wedding! We were blown away by how beautiful the ceremony turned out. Having planned to have it outside in the gazebo, a last minute rain storm forced us inside. I was more than happy with the set-up by the spiral staircase and was glad it ended up being inside. Gus and Meredith did an excellent job facilitating and were very flexible to accommodate by requests along the way. Food, drinks and set-up were perfect. We received many compliments from guests!

Presidential Caterers did an amazing job for our wedding! We were blown away by how beautiful the ceremony turned out. Having planned to have it outside in the gazebo, a last minute rain storm forced us inside. I was more than happy with the set-up by the spiral staircase and was glad it ended up being inside. Gus and Meredith did an excellent job facilitating and were very flexible to accommodate by requests along the way. Food, drinks and set-up were perfect. We received many compliments from guests!

Gus really does his best to make sure that everyone feels comfortable and secure in going with his family's company. His daughters were also very good at seeing they meet your expectations. The venue itself was beautiful! As soon as you walk into the building and then into your designated room there is a wow factor! We saved a lot of money by choosing this vendor. Everything is all inclusive aside from a photographer and DJ. We had a great experience with Platinum DJ's Mike Pitti, one of Presedential's preffered vendors. We had our own photographer and our own centerpieces made by a close family friend. We also brought our own essentials (cake topper, knives, sign in book, card box, personal photos, etc) that the crew at Presedential laid out for us. Our ceremony items were repurposed and the food was pretty decent although I didnt have much time to eat while running around greeting guests! Presedential did make sure the bride and groom were served first and continuously asked that we were okay and feeling satisfied. We felt like king and queen. Out of all the stressors leading up to our big day, Gus and his team were not a stressor in anyway. In fact they made us feel very comfortable and were there for every step of the process. We could not have asked for a better day!! If I could recommend any vendor it would be Presedential Caterers for your wedding day. Dont waste your money with other greedy vendors. The process is so beautiful through Presedential!

Our fundraiser has a lot of moving parts and the Presidential staff was professional, efficient, patient with all of our changes and multiple committees, full of wonderful ideas and advice, I can't say enough about how much they helped. Our event was not a wedding but a big fashion show/wine tasting/etc. event for 350 women at the Presidential. Their entire staff could not have been more helpful. The food was really wonderful - fresh and inventive, attractive AND delicious - a challenge when feeding such a large number of guests. All I've heard since then from our attendees are compliments on how beautiful the venue is and how marvelous the food was. I would highly recommend The Presidential to anyone for any special occasion!

(We did the filet and crab cake combo) Filet was cooked to perfection and the crab cakes were just amazing.\r\rComing from a bride, the staff catered to my every need. \r\rI would change... \r-Center pieces were not as nice as we hoped, we went with the upgrade and we were disappointed. Especially after speaking with the florist a number of times.... not a reflection on Gus and his staff at all. \r

We truly can't say enough good things about Presidential Caterers. When we were wedding planning, we knew we wanted two things: excellent food and to keep the budget reasonable. We got that and so much more. Most importantly, the food was delicious and abundant. We did the buffet option, and we were very happy with the amount and quality of the food. Cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert were all amazing. The wedding cake that was part of the package was large and delicious as well. Floral centerpieces were also part of the package, and they were a nice size and very pretty. We were even sent home with all the leftover dessert and flowers from the head table and centerpieces. The venue runs like a well oiled machine. The staff had my DIY decorations boxed and ready for me at the end of the night, and were very discreet about winding the reception down and getting things cleaned up. We didn't have to set up or take down anything. The staff was courteous and professional. We were well taken care of and were able to truly just enjoy ourselves. We had the best time in a beautiful venue, and would absolutely recommend Presidential Caterers to anyone planning a wedding.

A few of our guests even said it was the best wedding they have ever been to! From the beginning to the end, everything was taken care of. The food was awesome; we even had some guests with dietary restrictions (Muslim and Vegan) and Presidential took care of them no problem! I am in the wedding business myself and have seen a lot of venues and services.\r\rGus, you and your incredible staff made this event easy to plan with all of your help and guidence. The services you offered and connections you guided us towards made things so easy, and the quality was first class.\r\rThe facility is just beautiful with long spiral staircases that worked great for pictures. There is a gazebo outside for that romantic shot and the ballroom is so lovely. A very elegant and spacious room with a killer dance floor. The common areas were lovely and comfortable and the brides room was a great place for the bride to freshen up.\r\rYour staff was efficient, kind and caring, greeting our guests graciously. I knew I wanted to have my wedding here from the instant I walked in the door the first time. It is so clean and beautiful inside, even the bathrooms! Then I met Gus and he has been doing this for so long he can answer any and all questions without hesitation. The Presidential is also family run, the chef is his son, the pastry chef is his daughter and so on. They all really care and you can tell by the work they do. Prices were reasonable and food is amazing! It tastes good and the portion sizes are big. We had a sit down dinner which included a salad, a soup, a pasta, and then the entree! You will not find this much food for this price anywhere! We also had a cake and dessert table, which was absolutely delicious. We had a lot of compliments on food! Presidential make planning your wedding stress free they do all the work and they do it well!

I was looking for a location that I could hold my Disney themed wedding reception. When I came across the Presidential I knew it was the place. The staff are very nice and friendly. I loved having the venue, catering, cake, and flowers all provided at one location. \rThe food was amazing! The room was beautiful! The cake turned out just as I wanted. The staff were helpful and friendly. \rI did not use the flowers due to difficulty with the florist but Gus was very supportive and took care of the situation. \rI loved it there and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The staff were helpful and friendly. \rI did not use the flowers due to difficulty with the florist but Gus was very supportive and took care of the situation. \rI loved it there and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Gus and the entire team at the Presidential made my day perfect. The food was fantastic(only complaint was that everyone got \"stuffed\" and needed \"doggy bags\"). I used all vendors suggested by Gus and was extremely pleased with everyone's services; Secrets Limo, Schaffer Sound , Kremp florist and Marsella Photos. I can't say enough about how wonderful Presidential Caterers was for my wedding! Gus was kind and accomodating. We met several times to go over details. Each time Gus was flexible and offered advice for various situations or details we hadn't considered. Additionally, Gus's daughter who is the pastry chef for the venue offered to make a very unique cake we requested for an additional fee. We were very happy with the result and have received numerous compliments about the venue and the cake already! Even our photographer said she had never seem a cake like ours! I'd also like to add that the portions were very generous for dinner and I heard from guests that there were plenty of appetizers during cocktail hour. The dessert table was my favorite part though!! Gus made it extremely easy to get everything together for the reception. The all inclusive package was awesome because we only had to deal with 1 vendor for many aspects of the reception. Once we got to the reception we were greeted by Gus and his staff. The staff was excellent!! They were so helpful and kind! I would recommend Presidential Caterers to anyone getting married. My husband and I were married on 9/15/12. We had our Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Presidential Caterers. What an amazing day we had! From the moment we called for our first appointment, to the end of our Wedding evening, everything was PERFECT! Gus and his entire staff were so helpful through the entire process. He always made me feel at ease when my stress level was at its highest point. He always assured me that everything was going to be GREAT, and it was. The venue was beautiful and the food was AMAZING! The price was right too! Our guest are still telling us how much fun they had and how wonderful the food was. The Dessert Table was incredible. There were so many elegant desserts to choose from, you didn't know which one to pick first. We had a live band, and the room was a perfect size for them and the sound in the room was awesome, our guests danced all night. Presidential Caterers also has beautiful areas for photos, inside and out. Our beautiful wedding day will always be cherished because of our Family, Friends and Presidential Caterers. I strongly recommend this venue for your wedding....you won't be disappointed.

We knew as soon as we walked into Presidential Caterers that we would have our wedding at this venue. As a matter of fact, we didn't even look at any other venues after meeting with them. Presidential is family owned and operated and their extensive experience in the wedding reception industry positions them as a trustworthy, honest and genuine venue to do business with.\r\rI love that Presidential staff was swift to respond to all of inquiries. Sometimes, being a Bride, it can seem like we are being asked so many questions by our families, and Gus and his staff where there to answer every single one.\r\rThe Presidential does host multiple weddings on a staggered schedule, but you would never even know. They treat you as if you are the only event they are hosting, with an extensive staff exclusively for your room, a banquet manager, and Gus and his family are present through the entire event. I've worked in events and entertainment for years and I've never seen or experienced anything quite like it. They make you feel special, heard and the center of attention. They also assure that you and your Bridal Party have your own attendant and are waited on from beginning to end.\r\rWe had a very clear budget for a guest list of about 200 people and Presidential was able to come in at a very affordable price. The all-inclusive nature of their wedding package was beyond our expectations. Not only did it save us money, but it removed so many tasks from our planning list. From food, to centerpieces, to the wedding cake, we were just beyond thrilled with everything that Presidential Caterers provided us with!\r\rOur guests were also very very impressed with Presidential Caterers menu. The food was SO delicious. The Dessert table was enormous and the table settings looked gorgeous.\r\rIf you want to host an event that you, your family, and your guests will remember for years to come, go with the Presidential and you will be beyond thrilled with the celebration of your marriage!!!

The Food\rMy husband and I jokingly consider ourselves “food snobs” because our favorite activity is going out to fancy restaurants and cooking from scratch at home. I have even taken classes at the International Culinary Institute to become a food critic. Our biggest concern about finding a venue was that we were afraid that we were going to be disappointed by the traditional “rubbery chicken.” Presidential could not be any further from that!! \r\rAll of our guest were absolutely delighted at how juicy and succulent all of the proteins were, how the side dishes were not overlooked and had great seasoning, and how extensive and delicious the appetizers were, etc. Our guests went out of the their way that night to tell us it was one of the best meals that have had in a long time, let alone at a wedding. To add icing on the cake, even the people in our family who were very picky eaters loved the food. The dessert table was included which never happens in other venues and it really made our wedding look and taste that much more impressive – and OMG was it good! \r\rAccommodating Service\rWe had bought a special cake topper that had a bridge on it and the pastry chef Jen completely customized our cake so that we could use it and it looked more beautiful than we ever imagined it could. I wanted the head Chef to add fresh basil and sage to some of the dishes as garnishes and they were happy to do it and included it at no extra cost! The owner Gus was also sooo helpful and answered all of my questions and let me take a look around every time I went in there for a meeting. I couldn’t be any happier at the end of the night at the food servers too, and we loved that we had our own personal waiter the whole night. \r\rThe Atmosphere\rThe pictures on their website do not do them any justice. The place is truly beautiful and more than impressive inside. Everyone said “wow” just as they were walking in. With the price of everything being included… flowers, apps, soup or fruit, salad, entrees, booze, cake and a pastry table, I can promise that after looking at seriously about 30 other venues, nothing compared to the grandeur of the location or the taste of the food, and absolutely none one else could touch Presidential on the value of the price. \r\rWe looked at a lot of other venues before we looked at Presidential Caterers; I guess we saved the best for last! I would highly suggest having your wedding there! Thank you so much to everyone there!!!! The day was a dream come true!!! :)

When Gus tells you that it will all come together the day of the event, he isn't lying! My wedding was amazing and went perfectly. \r\rThe only negative I had was, our bartender had no personality. He just wasn't fun, never had a smile on his face, etc. \r\rOther than that, everything was great. The way they set up all of our decorations to the portion sizes for food and how it tasted. I wish I could relive it over and over again, and if I did, I would choose Presidential! \r\rIf anything went wrong, I didn't know about it. My wedding reception at Presidential was a dream come true. My husband and I were greeted by Gus, the owner when we arrived. Our guests were given the opportunity to enjoy a delicious cocktail hour included with a premium open bar. I had received amazing comments from our guests regarding the fact that they enjoyed the food and will not leave hungry. This was the intention. Our bridal party was also wined and dined as well when we arrived at the reception. It was nice to be a guest of honor and watching my guests to be treated equally as important. The service was friendly and the food was really delicious. When the dessert table was opened, my guests were overwhelmed by more food but told me that if it wasn't there they would have missed it if it wasn't offered. I would highly recommend this venue to host your reception. This friendly, family owned atmosphere places you at ease as they make sure everything that is important on your special day will go accordingly. My wedding was perfect and I am delighted to have had Presidential Caterers host my reception. They went above and beyond and I would recommend this venue to any bride looking for a reception that completes her perfect day!

Gus was amazing. He knows his stuff. He had us bring our favors, place cards, champagne flutes, etc the monday before the wedding. It was crazy to get it all together that weekend, but we were much more relaxed that week knowing everything was set at the reception hall. The food was tasty, however the cake was dry. The dessert table totally made up for it though.

Gus was amazing. He knows his stuff. He had us bring our favors, place cards, champagne flutes, etc the monday before the wedding. It was crazy to get it all together that weekend, but we were much more relaxed that week knowing everything was set at the reception hall. The food was tasty, however the cake was dry. The dessert table totally made up for it though.

The wedding was truly a once in a lifetime event. We had both the ceremony and the reception at Presidential. The group at Presidential Caters help guide us from the beginning regarding the many different options avaialable to us and provided us with their extesive experience but still allowing us to make the best choices to customize our wedding. The package we received was complete and I feel that we received a great value for the price. The entire evening went without a hitch and the personnel attention and sevrice we received thorughout the night was beyond comparison with any event I have attended in the past. The food was fantastic with very generous portions served right on time and in the most professional manner. My daughter commented that is was a fairy tale wedding and was very pleased how everything was executed. The decorations, flowers and layout of the venue were beatiful, especially for taking pictures of the bride and groom and the wedding party. I received glowing reviews from the guests I spoke with during the wedding who also commented on what an enjoyable time they had, many commented it was the best wedding they had ever attended, and I agree with them. I will recommend Presidential Caterers to anyone who asks me becuse I really feel they made the wedding a truely memorable experience.

I had both my wedding cermony and reception at Presidential. Both Gus and his daughter Melanie were very helpful in making our day perfect. ALl of our guest raved about the food and there was plenty of it also the dessert table was a huge git.

We used Presidential Caterers for our ceremony and reception for our January wedding. Everything was beautiful and exceeded our expectations for the day. The guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to (and we have some frequent wedding go-ers). The food was wonderful, the cake was beautiful and the dessert table kept the guests extremely happy. Gus was a joy to work with and was honest and helpful. We could not have asked for more for our big day!

Our daughter's wedding reception was held on 10/15/11 at Presidential Caterers. When we visited Gus approximately one year ago, he greeted us with enthusiam and professionalism. He was so wonderful and helpful, and provided us with a wide variety of selections from everything to flowers, table settings, food, wedding cakes, as well as information on disc jockeys and florists. (Gus even gave us a taste-testing evening. We were able to choose what we wanted for our 7 courses - which wasn't easy. The food is delicious and beautifully presented.) Gus had all the answers to our questions. He has been in the business for years, and knows what he is doing. My family has been doing business with Gus for over 40 years, and will continue. My daughter's wedding was just lovely and at a price that was affordable. Presidential Caterers is just a beautiful, magnificant venue. The bridal suite at the top of the long, winding staircase was just perfect - we loved every minute of our gala event. Gus and his staff treated us beautifully. Our guests were very impressed with this tasteful and elegant affair. And the dessert table is something that our guests have not stopped talking about - simply exquisite and the presentation was so inviting. The Presidential is a beautiful facility and Gus and his staff are AMAZING. They make getting ready for your big day so easy - the food was AMAZING all our guests were raving about it for weeks after the wedding. The staff is very nice and they practically go un-noticed during the ceremony and reception they make it seem like things are happening without any effort. They have beautiful options for photos both inside and out as well. Everything was great, I just can't say enough how amazing everything was, I would recommend this place to ANY and EVERY one I know - I hope I can go back to a wedding or event there soon.

I had my heart set on having my wedding at the Presidential and every member of the staff really worked with us to make that possible. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and took the the time to listen to your questions and concerns. I had my ceremony and reception there and on the day of, everything from the decor to the food to the staff was perfect. I would definitely recommend the Presidential as a great place to hold your wedding/reception.

The Eisenhower Room was simply grand and the wedding cake and flowers spectacular. All of the food was scrumptious but the biggest hit of the night, other than the bride and groom, of course, was the dessert table. I'm sure you have heard that a million times over!\r \rYour staff was most efficient, courteous and trustworthy. Any belongings that were left behind, and there were a few including a dropped gift card, were gathered up and given to us before our departure. \r \rAgain, thank you and kudos to you and your family business!\r

The ambiance of the facility and the service provided was simply wonderful. The assistance and flexability helped us plan a day that could of been easily filled with stress but was rather enjoyable and perfect. Great place if you want nothing out of the ordinary, a simple, run-of-the-mill wedding reception with good standard food, standard flowers, 5-hour standard bar. If you're looking for something a little different, this is NOT the place. The worst part is, you'll feel like all has been worked out and the owner is like your surrogate father, and then he'll turn ruthless shark and he'll do it the week before your wedding and you'll end up paying considerably more than you thought because you have no other choice and he won't care because he knows you have no other option. Buyer beware.
