Situated in Cape Elizabeth, ME, Purpoodock Club is an upscale wedding venue. The golf course and clubhouse are nestled amidst 188 acres of stunning grounds, woodlands, and manicured lawns and gardens. Here, in picturesque serenity, you can celebrate one of life’s most precious moments. Purpoodock Club can accommodate large wedding receptions for up to 140 guests. You can choose from an indoor or outdoor ceremony site to suit your wedding theme and preferences. The grounds were made to be photographed, so you and your new spouse can explore the many beautiful spots with your photographer while guests enjoy a cocktail or two. Evening receptions take place in the Spurwink Room, a spacious and sophisticated ballroom complete with large windows overlooking the grounds. Natural light pours in throughout the day, and the wraparound deck offers views of verdant gardens, the first tee, and the ninth green. The Spurwink Room will be transformed to match your tastes and event style with the help of a dedicated event coordinator and staff. Alternatively, you can host an intimate micro wedding, elopement, or small dinner party in the Fireside Room. This elegantly appointed private room hosts 40 guests and is also available for pre-wedding gatherings such as showers and rehearsal dinners. The experienced team at Purpoodock Club delights in making each couple’s big day unique and memorable. The in-house coordinator will assist you at every step of your wedding journey, from your initial consultation to menu tastings, decor options, and more. You will have the freedom to collaborate with outside vendors to bring your vision to life at Purpoodock Club. On the day, staff members oversee set up and clean up. This venue provides thoughtful touches such as linens, votive candles, and complimentary cake plating services.

I was so pleased with the Purpoodock Club as our wedding ceremony and reception location. I can't say enough about Emily, their event coordinator, and how helpful she was throughout our entire planning process and on the day of. She thoughtfully answered all of my nervous bride questions and helped create a great schedule. There was pouring rain the morning of our wedding and when I arrived at the venue (stressed out), Emily had already created plans with the photographers/DJ about how we could move pieces indoors if necessary. Thankfully the rain passed and we got to have an outdoor ceremony and photos on the beautiful grounds before enjoying delicious food (we got a ton of feedback from guests that they were blown away). I would highlight recommend the Purpoodock, everything was reasonably priced, staff took all the stress out of planning and the space was beautifully decorated!

Emily at the Purpoodock Club is always positive, flexible and an absolute joy to work with. We are so proud to have had our wedding at the club. The food was excellent, service attentive, and the level of care in which the room was decorated was fantastic. We would highly recommend this venue for any special event.

The food was excellent, service attentive, and the level of care in which the room was decorated was fantastic. We would highly recommend this venue for any special event.

The venue was really great to work with. I highly recommend them! Emily the event coordinator was fantastic to deal with. She was organized and asked great questions about things for the wedding that I wasn't even aware of. She accommodated our last minute requests. We had a pretty strict schedule and she kept us on time throughout the whole day which I really appreciated. We ended up going with an open bar that would become a cash bar after a certain dollar limit. It was awesome to have the bar staff track for us and she warned us as we were getting close to the limit. I highly recommend working with Purpoodock. Their prices for food and venue fees were very reasonable especially given that it was summer in Maine and a popular time to get married.

If you are looking for a place that has beautiful views, ample space and friendly staff at a very reasonable price, Purpoodock Club is for you! We had 125 guests and had plenty of space to dance, mingle and eat. We loved the cocktail hour outside on their expansive outdoor deck and it was a treat to have it at sunset as well. The food was exceptional and people were talking about it days after. People wanted to take the stuffed ravioli in a to-go box. We cannot say enough about Emily, the events coordinator, who was so willing to help and support us through every minor and major detail we threw at her. The staff was warm and always there whenever you needed something. They worked well with outside vendors and handled the set up with all of our decorations and centerpieces. We didn't have to worry about anything! Cannot recommend them enough! If we would had to do this over again, we would choose them again in a heartbeat!

My wife and I recently had our wedding at the Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth and it was the most magical day of our lives. The ceremony was on a very unique deck overlooking several areas of the golf course. The reception was right inside the deck - but we could use the deck as well! They were very professional and extremely helpful with everything. Our wedding planner - Heather - was amazing. She helped us with every single detail. Our wedding was actually supposed to be held at a venue in Old Orchard Beach. THEN that venue suddenly closed! So you can imagine my stress in trying to find a new venue! Luckily we contacted Heather and she worked with us to get our date secured there (luckily that had it available!) and she helped us through everything knowing that we had already had a stressful start to wedding planning! The day itself was perfect. The room was decorated amazingly, the tables were beautiful, and the experience was beyond words! I want to thank Heather and everyone at the Purpoodock for helping us make our wedding day the best day ever!!!

My husband and I had both our ceremony and reception at Purpoodock Club and it was the best decision we made for our wedding day! Luckily we were graced with beautiful fall weather so we were able to have our ceremony outside on the deck. From our first meeting with Heather, the event coordinator, to our wedding day, everything was perfect. I must have emailed Heather dozens and dozens of times, and she way always so quick to respond and help. She made sure every single detail was taken care of and never missed a thing. I didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day - her and the entire staff had everything organized perfectly. Heather coordinated with all of our vendors directly to ensure the day ran smoothly. She set up all of our decor, flowers, etc for the day and brought us food and drinks to enjoy before we went into our reception. She put so much thought into everything and made sure we were completely enjoying our day. The food was amazing, the bartender had wonderful customer service and made delicious drinks, and the staff was always around to help and make sure everything was running on time. Our guests are still talking about the beautiful venue, and how delicious the food was. The day was simply perfect. Purpoodock Club has incredibly fair prices for the quality and services they offer, fantastic catering, and amazing staff. We were so lucky to have found this venue and I would highly highly recommend!

Heather and Robyn were amazing to work with! They were very attentive to the planning and details of our wedding. They were both easy to get a hold of and responded to emails the same day. I dropped of my decor, favors etc. Those ladies set everything PERFECTLY! \r\rThe venue is great for our wedding. We had a total of 115 guests; the room can hold 150 if I remember correctly. There is a great wrap around deck with great views of the golf course and foliage. \r\rThere is a bridal sweet down stairs as well. As soon as my girls and I arrived, Heather brought us to the bridal sweet. Drink orders were taken and some hors d'oeuvres were brought down. \r\rThe food selection is great and everything I tried at the tasting was amazing! What we chose: The hors d'oeuvre: bacon wrapped scallops, spanikopita, spring rolls, and sausage stuffed mushrooms. We went with a plated dinner. The options: apple corn bread stuffed pork chop, broiled haddock, and vegetable pasta penne. Everything was great.\r\rIt was a GREAT experience!\r\rI would definitely recommended the Purpoodock Club.

From start to finish Robin and Heather guided us through the venue process which was much more than we had anticipated. Had it not been for their professionalism and positive feed back, we would have been leaving out critical details for our ceremony and reception. Their knowledge of the wedding planning process guided us from start to finish. The food was extremely tasteful and the additional options completed the meal. The pricing for the venue was very competitive with other venues in the Southern Maine area. Robin's directions during our ceremony were perfectly timed for us to pull of the perfect wedding! I would highly recommend Purpoodock Club for any function.
