Queen Anne's Loft is a gem for Newport! We live in Newport and I searched for 2 years to find a venue that was both affordable and beautiful for our intimate wedding. Amanda is priceless! From the moment I met her at QAL, I knew we had found our venue and a person that I would like to work with. Amanda has a relaxed manner about her which is very much needed for a Bride to be. She is patient, accommodating and listens. She always made herself available whether by email or visiting QAL. She offers great suggestions and is willing to go the extra mile so that you have no worries and can enjoy your day. I did not have a wedding coordinator and Amanda handled working with the vendors for the flowers and dessert. We had a tasting in February and then decided on a menu. We had passed hors d'oeuvres and platters. In total we had seating for 62 people. We had a 5 piece band and plenty of room for a dance floor. We got married in the park across the street and then everyone walked across the street to begin cocktail hour. We had people of all dietary categories - gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, pescatarian, plain old picky eaters - Amanda worked with us so there was food for everyone and plenty of it. We had foodies and restaurant owners. Everyone raved about the hors d'oeuvres and dinner! I tried everything and it was delicious. What I really loved was that the food was served piping hot and stayed hot throughout the entire meal! Kudos to the chef and the kitchen staff. The servers were absolutely lovely! They were very attentive. One knew that my mom didn't eat meat and always made sure to go to her with the passed hors d'oeuvres that she liked. We received many comments from the guests that evening as well as later that the staff was terrific! I have attended many events in Newport that have been catered by the larger, well know companies in town and the food from QAL was by far much better. The quality, the portion size and the taste. The venue is simply beautiful. I have been there during different times of the day and the light is gorgeous! The room really doesn't need anything. The molding and the floors are lovely. The fireplace is a beautiful touch for warmth and elegance. The chandelier is absolutely stunning. We set up the room so that it would be centered over the dance floor. (Great first dance pics) And the bar is lovely. My husband, who really was not involved too much in the planning, kept saying, \"This is the best day of my life\" , \" everything is perfect\

Queen Annes Loft is the perfect venue if you are looking for simple elegance. The event room is so stunning yet understated. With a room as gorgeous yet neutral as this, you can really make it your own with any color palate and you don’t need to go crazy with decor because the room speaks for itself. On top of that, the owner Amanda was so kind and easy going. She was great to work start to finish and was very accommodating to all of our needs. The food was amazing and all of our wedding guests have mentioned how nice the staff were. We had 72 guests and the vibe was great. Queen Anne’s Loft is really a dream venue in a great location.

Queen Annes Loft is the perfect venue if you are looking for simple elegance. The event room is so stunning yet understated. Queen Anne's Loft is the most beautiful, quaint and perfect wedding venue I could have ever found. We got married there last Saturday 10/21/23 and honestly, it could not have been more of a perfect day. The space is STUNNING all on it's own and doesn't need too much décor. Due to the rain, we had to take our photos inside and we ended up taking them in the venue before the ceremony started- I got a few sneak peaks and they are gorgeous!! Also not to mention the service/wait staff were INCREDIBLE. Super nice and attentive. The day ran so smoothly- absolutely nothing went wrong. Amanda, the owner/coordinator is extremely professional and responsive and honestly offers the best wedding package in all of Newport. I cannot say enough good things about Queen Anne's!! If you want a smaller/intimate wedding but still want a gorgeous, affordable aesthetic, look no further...Queen Anne's is top tier!!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner and wedding welcome party at Queen Anne’s Loft and I would highly recommend that any Newport brides consider this space! The venue is centrally located and absolutely beautiful inside, making it the perfect event space. You barely need any decor inside— the aesthetic speaks for itself! One of the things we also loved about the Queen Anne’s Loft was that they were very flexible and accommodating. They were able to host a small seated family-only dinner to start and then open up to a broader welcome drinks reception for all guests. Amanda is incredibly efficient, organized and professional, and all of the waiters and bartenders were kind and professional as well! You feel incredibly well taken care of and the price point is unmatched for the space and level of service. I feel very lucky to have found Queen Anne’s Loft for our special weekend!

Would highly recommend using this location, located centrally in Newport downtown, beautiful venue and the staff led by Amanda was excellent! They are quick to respond to any questions and day of event “all hands on deck” we used them for our son’s rehearsal dinner and the food was superb!

My husband and I had a wonderful wedding at QAL. Amanda was a pleasure to work with! If I sent an email (I sent many) Amanda always responded back promptly. I had SO many questions for a cocktail style wedding reception and Amanda did a great job at following up and going out of her way to check on foods options that I was interested on having at the reception that wasn't already in their food menu. Our signature cocktails came out great! The venue is beautiful with great lighting which is awesome for photography. I loved the honesty and transparency working with QAL which was something hard to find with other venues in my experience when I was starting the wedding planning process. You're special event is in good hands with Amanda.

Queen Anne’s Loft is a beautiful venue. My daughters bridal shower was nothing but perfect. The food was great. The presentation was exactly what I was hoping for. Amanda is a sweetheart. She was very easy to work with. From the bartenders to the wait staff they are top notch professional. I would highly recommend this venue not only for the beauty but for the hospitality of all the staff. Thank you Amanda and all you staff for making my daughters special day a success.

Queen Anne’s Loft is a beautiful venue. My daughters bridal shower was nothing but perfect. The food was great. The presentation was exactly what I was hoping for. Amanda is a sweetheart. She was very easy to work with. From the bartenders to the wait staff they are top notch professional. When planning a wedding, the venue is one of the most nerve-wracking things to book. You want somewhere with good food, good lighting, and good atmosphere. You want it to be within your budget without making compromises. You want the staff to be kind, friendly, and attentive. You will find all that and much more with Amanda and Queen Anne’s Loft. I don’t know by what stroke of luck I found this venue, but I will forever be grateful. We had our reception here in February of 2023. Amanda is exactly the kind of person you want when planning a wedding- very relaxed and attentive. She always quickly responded to my (frankly, many) emails. She walked me through my menu options clearly, and day of I felt that every decision we made was the correct one. The food was amazing- so much better than any other wedding I’ve been to. The portions were generous and plated beautifully. The space itself… I cannot accurately describe the awe I felt the first time I walked in on the wedding day. I had rented beautiful wood tables from Peak (a preferred vendor for the venue) and purchased over 300 pillar candles for the center of the tables and around the room. Amanda absolutely nailed the candlelit dinner vibe I was going for. We had also brought in a few floral arrangements, but I’m going to be honest with you- even if we hadn’t rented a single thing and used only the standard things Amanda has at the venue (tables, chairs, tablecloths, etc…),the space is so beautiful it would have blown weddings with much bigger budgets than ours out of the water. The pictures you see online don’t do it proper justice. It is soft and elegant, and the views! The views are spectacular. I don’t know how Amanda has managed it, but Queen Anne’s Loft is special. I cannot thank Amanda and the staff enough- our day was perfect and I wouldn’t change a single thing about it. If you have the opportunity to do so, stop in and see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. And if you are in a position where you can’t see the venue until the day of your event, book it anyway. You will have a magical day with great food and zero worries or regrets. Truly the best choice I made when planning our wedding.

Oh my goodness where do I begin? My son and his fiance' are from Philadelphia and loved visiting Newport thus choosing to get married there. I'm from Florida so the idea of finding the perfect venue for the rehearsal dinner felt very daunting, however, the minute I walked into Queen Anne's Loft and met Amanda I immediately knew I had found the perfect place! I can not say enough about Amanda. ...she was so fun and pleasant to work with. I always felt like I was her only client as she answered immediately all of my emails with kindness offering ideas and support! As you enter the building a beautiful carpeted staircase leads up to an absolutely elegant venue room!! We had 85 guests and never felt crowded. Instead, her staff worked tirelessly to make us feel at home as they walked around offering scrumptious appetizers and filling wine glasses at the bar! The food was mouth watering and the desert table was elegantly displayed with yummy treats! When it came time to pack up, her staff did all they could to help us get all of our things out quickly so we could go to the next event:) Queen Anne's Loft is one of the best things that has happened to Newport! Thank you Amanda!!

We held both our wedding ceremony and reception at Queen Anne’s Loft and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We opted to do very minimal decorations, but the venue itself is so stunning (especially the chandelier!) that despite the lack of flowers, etc. our guests were still commenting on how beautiful and elegant the wedding looked. Amanda and the entire team at Queen Anne’s Loft were wonderful as well. They went above and beyond to make our day run as smoothly as possible. We knew we wanted a simpler, more untraditional wedding but didn’t really know how to pull it off; Amanda offered us so much guidance and really made the success of the whole night possible for us. I loved the decoration of the room with its magnificent chandeliers and the tables with the flowers. I was disappointed of the salad, thought it was too plain. The main courses were fantastic and the cake as well as the assortments of small pastries were wonderful. The bar package was great. My only comment is that I would have liked the time between the courses to be greater. The dinner was finished a little before 9 and we had the room until 1000. People must have thought venue was finished and left early. Ananda dud a terrific job is a very nice and well organized lady. I recommend this place.

I cannot recommend Queen Anne's Loft enough! It was the perfect rehearsal dinner space. I was researching Newport rehearsal venues when I came across Queen Anne's Loft and I immediately fell in love with the chandelier, floor to ceiling windows, views of Thames St, the fireplace and the bar. I cannot recommend Queen Anne's Loft enough! It was the perfect rehearsal dinner space. I was researching Newport rehearsal venues when I came across Queen Anne's Loft and I immediately fell in love with the chandelier, floor to ceiling windows, views of Thames St, the fireplace and the bar. Amanda was so lovely to work with. I felt like the world was my oyster. I had so much fun dressing up the space with our rentals. The food was amazing and Amanda helped us make special requests. I recently had my daughter’s bridal shower at Queen Anne’s Loft and it was the perfect venue for this event. The room was charming and cozy with a great view of downtown Newport. Amanda the owner is a pleasure to work with and very accommodating as was the staff that helped with the shower. Great food and bar drinks with many options to pick from. Back on July 2, 2021, we had the privilege to reserve Queen Ann’s Loft for a rehearsal dinner (celebration) for our son and his bride. Amanda the owner of Queen Ann’s Loft was a great help in planning this special event, especially since we were not from this area, we are from Alabama and the bride’s family is from Connecticut. Amanda was able to assist us in planning the evening starting with the beautiful event room overlooking Queen Ann Park in downtown Newport and the basic decorations for the room, it set the perfect mood and tone for our celebration. In all we had had 52 people attend this wonderful event, we decided to host an open bar and served Hors d’oeuvres, a couple of platters one cheese the other meze platters for a cocktail hour. For our main course we had a choice between the Grilled Salmon, topped with a Beurre Blanc or the Filet Mignon with a roasted garlic demi, both were cooked to perfection! The main course also included a fresh garden salad and Key Lime Pie for dessert. Amada and her team at Queen Ann’s Loft delivered on a perfect night for a perfect celebration of two wonderful people. I would highly recommend Queen Ann’s Loft to anyone planning an event, you will not be disappointed. Thank you again Amanda for a perfect celebration!

With a beautiful venue, organized team, great bar service and selection, outstanding food and perfect location, this place is the complete package. Amanda was so easy to work with from the start, and her team pulled through with 0 glitches. We left a lot of the day-of decorations up to them (with a few instructions), but we were blown away by how beautiful everything looked! The venue has a classic and timeless feel with just enough space for everything you need. The outdoor area also ended up being helpful for people to cool off from the dance floor! Amanda communicated us from the beginning, and she made the entire event easy to plan out, including drop off and pick up of our decorations. Our family and friends also raved about the food and our understanding was that most people had cleared their plates! We were fortunate enough to try some of the food at a tasting prior to the event and obviously enjoyed it then, but it was a great feeling knowing that the guests enjoyed every aspect of the venue.

She was responsive and helpful which was important during this crazy planning process. She even helped us find a spot for our after party. Amanda guided us during our rehearsal and set up everything perfectly the day of. We booked Queen Anne's without seeing it in person, trusting the social media pictures. The venue is even more beautiful in person. We had 45 people and this was the perfect spot for our intimate celebration. We were able to take pictures in the park close by and walked across the street for pictures by the water. If you are looking for a venue for a smaller celebration please do not think twice about Queen Anne's.

Like several of the recent reviews mention, we ended up having our very small, COVID-downsized wedding at Queen Anne's Loft after changing plans for our original wedding several times. We were so happy with how things worked out there - despite the ongoing pandemic and a nor'easter that hit the day of the wedding and ended up knocking the power out mid-ceremony (which they immediately addressed and eventually it came back on). Amanda and team were just great from start to finish - responsive, flexible, accommodating, and pleasant. She made everything very easy for us and recommended some great vendors to use. She helped us arrange a Zoom set-up with guests who could not be there, including a projector and screen so we could see them during the whole thing. The food was very good and the venue space is really beautiful. Though it was not initially our first choice, we were so happy to have found Queen Anne's Loft and had a really wonderful time there. Could not say enough good things about the space and Amanda/the team running it!

Like several of the recent reviews mention, we ended up having our very small, COVID-downsized wedding at Queen Anne's Loft after changing plans for our original wedding several times. We were so happy with how things worked out there - despite the ongoing pandemic and a nor'easter that hit the day of the wedding and ended up knocking the power out mid-ceremony (which they immediately addressed and eventually it came back on). Amanda and team were just great from start to finish - responsive, flexible, accommodating, and pleasant. She made everything very easy for us and recommended some great vendors to use. She helped us arrange a Zoom set-up with guests who could not be there, including a projector and screen so we could see them during the whole thing. The food was very good and the venue space is really beautiful. Though it was not initially our first choice, we were so happy to have found Queen Anne's Loft and had a really wonderful time there. Could not say enough good things about the space and Amanda/the team running it!

Queen Anne's Loft is Newport's best-kept secret for weddings and events. When we found this venue after changing our plans due to COVID, we felt like we hit the wedding venue lottery! The venue itself is absolutely stunning, from the simple yet elegant design to the large windows that open up, revealing the busy Newport streets below. Amanda was a pleasure to work with and answered all of my many questions quickly. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful our reception was. We couldn't have asked for a better place to host our small reception. To top it off, the servers and bartenders were great, and the food was delicious!

The venue itself is absolutely stunning, from the simple yet elegant design to the large windows that open up, revealing the busy Newport streets below. Amanda was a pleasure to work with and answered all of my many questions quickly. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful our reception was. We couldn't have asked for a better place to host our small reception. To top it off, the servers and bartenders were great, and the food was delicious!

When my plans shifted due to the COVID19 pandemic and my “large wedding” was moved to 2021, my wedding planner suggested Queen Anne’s Loft for our small reception. After seeing pictures and having viewed the venue, I did not even consider another location! This space truly has it all and could be customized easily given the simple yet upscale feel. Every aspect of the venue was clean, airy and sophisticated, from the quirky yet tasteful tiles in the bathroom to the mother of pearl detailing on the bar, and the STUNNING crystal chandelier. The mirrors made the room feel large and open, while the well appointed details of the room made it feel intimate and warm for a group of my size. Not that you can plan this, but the sunset was unreal and the view of the harbor coupled with the sunset made for a perfect backdrop. Though I don’t think many couples eat at their wedding I was fortunate enough to be able to enjoy both the appetizer and (vegetarian) entree— both of which were delicious and the presentation matched the upscale feel of the venue. My dad and husband shared that the steak was the delicious and my mom shared that the fish was the best she had had in a long time! Multiple guests complimented the food and presentation, as well as beer/wine selection. Overall Amanda, the owner and coordinator, worked with my wedding planner to make it so that our “plan B” wedding felt like the wedding of my dreams! I cannot thank them enough for how perfect everything was. If I could do it over again I would not change a thing, aside from maybe trying to make the night last longer :). I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to have a rehearsal dinner, shower, or reception/wedding in downtown Newport. It truly checked all boxed and was affordable as well!

Where do I begin!!! If you are considering a venue - BOOK NOW. My husband and I were originally supposed to get married July 17th in Newport with 275 people and due to Covid... that didn't happen. After planning what felt like 10 backup plans, we decided to move forward and get married with immediate family + bridal party on August 15th, 2020. We reached out to Amanda to inquire about Queen's Anne and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate us. As a Covid bride, my plans/guest list changed a million times and stress levels were at an all time high - Amanda has a relaxed nature about her that made me feel completely as ease. Aside from the actual reception, she also had great recommendations for bridal pictures and things to do around Newport. I visited Newport several times leading up to the wedding and she was always available to show the venue to our family members. She always responded to our emails/phone calls immediately and overall her professionalism was top notch. The location is perfect, it's right in the heart of downtown Newport. The food was great! My husband caught a tuna the weekend before and she was able to have the chefs create appetizers from it which was really special. She kept us on time with speeches/cake cutting (something I was really worried about it without a wedding planner). The whole process was stress free and I cannot recommend Amanda and Queen's Anne enough!!!

We held our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Queen Anne's Loft and it was the PERFECT place to have it! We had a dinner for 50 people which was easily accommodated (loved the lobster boil!) and easily transitioned to the welcome drinks for the rest of the invited guests! The space was beautifully transformed and looked amazing- our guests couldn't stop commenting how nice it was! And it's in such a great location right downtown so it was easy for everyone to get to and we held our rehearsal right outside in Queen Anne's Square before dinner! Thank you Amanda for everything!

We held our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at Queen Anne's Loft and it was the PERFECT place to have it! We had a dinner for 50 people which was easily accommodated (loved the lobster boil!) and easily transitioned to the welcome drinks for the rest of the invited guests! We would not change a thing about our decision to host our rehearsal dinner/welcome with Queen Anne's Loft. Amanda was the best - extremely attentive both in advance of and during the event. She was accommodating and professional and helped guide us through all the twists and turns. The space was beautiful and didn't require any additional decor. We had a rather large seated dinner at between 110-120 followed by speeches and Amanda helped plan the space perfectly. Though it was on the high end of capacity, we were able to easily move around the room and she managed a perfect cocktail reception with passed apps followed by dinner and the welcome. I would unequivocally recommend going with this venue; she was the best.

If I could give a 10 star review I would! Amanda and all the staff at Queen Anne’s Loft were phenomenal! From beginning to end, Amanda was easy to work with and easy to get in contact with! She made everything easy and seamless3.) Ceremony- Beautiful during the day- really, the lightning and view is perfect for ceremony4.) Food- We had so many compliments on the food! People loved it.5.). Execution- From me dropping off boxes full of name cards, koozies, favors, table numbers, and everything in between to the beautifully set tables... it was all perfect. If you're looking for a small-medium sized venue in Newport, RI for your wedding or rehearsal dinner, book the Queen Anne's Loft and don't look back. I just had an 80-person wedding at this venue and I was so happy with the end result. The price was reasonable, the staff were extremely attentive to all of my guests, and the space is absolutely beautiful -- with an impressive chandelier and a clean, bright space that provides the perfect starting canvas for any of your event decor ideas -- you really can't go wrong. I chose to go with a romantic, vintage-themed wedding and this venue was the perfect space. Amanda who coordinates all of the events was always available and responded to each and every (often very long) e-mail that I wrote her with all of my questions (I asked a lot of questions and had tons of requests!). She even accommodated the way I wanted my napkins folded (with a thank you card on the inside) and worked directly with my vendors to ensure my reception venue was perfect on the day of the wedding. Amanda and her friendly, professional staff go above and beyond to make sure you're happy! Not to mention that the food was outstanding (I am a foodie AKA food snob and I gave the food a 5-star rating). Additionally, all of my requests (I wanted stuffies served with the first course/salad) were accommodated with a smile. They also have great vegetarian and kids meal options. On the day of the wedding, Amanda and her staff even helped set-up the space so my day of coordinator had a lot of help. I was hesitant to choose the space at first because I thought the space might be small for 80 but there was more than enough room to walk around the tables and to get down on the dance floor. The venue is also perfectly situated on Thames Street and it is close to several local bars and restaurants that offer nice after-party options. Not to mention that the view of the sailboats is an added plus. I was so happy with my decision to have my wedding at Queen Anne's Loft. If you want to have a King/Queen themed wedding, you can have your ceremony at Kings Park in Newport and your reception at Queen Anne's Loft. ;-) You will not be disappointed with this beautiful venue! Not to mention that the food was outstanding (I am a foodie AKA food snob and I gave the food a 5-star rating). Additionally, all of my requests (I wanted stuffies served with the first course/salad) were accommodated with a smile. They also have great vegetarian and kids meal options. On the day of the wedding, Amanda and her staff even helped set-up the space so my day of coordinator had a lot of help. I was hesitant to choose the space at first because I thought the space might be small for 80 but there was more than enough room to walk around the tables and to get down on the dance floor. The venue is also perfectly situated on Thames Street and it is close to several local bars and restaurants that offer nice after-party options. Not to mention that the view of the sailboats is an added plus. I was so happy with my decision to have my wedding at Queen Anne's Loft. If you want to have a King/Queen themed wedding, you can have your ceremony at Kings Park in Newport and your reception at Queen Anne's Loft. ;-) You will not be disappointed with this beautiful venue! Thank you, Amanda and team for making my wedding so memorable!

This new event space is absolutely stunning! I was lucky enough to have my shower there and everything was perfect. The owner, Amanda, was so accommodating and very personable. She offered suggestions of food and placement of decorations all throughout this beautiful space. What an amazing space to hold any function you plan on having in Newport, Rhode Island. My wife and I held our rehearsal dinner here. Our family and friends had such a great time. The food and service was excellent and I would certainly recommend Queen Anne's Loft to anyone I know. This is by far one of the best places to experience Newport, Rhode Island!

We had our rehearsal dinner/welcome party at Queen Anne's and we're extremely glad we did! After checking out several bars and restaurants in downtown Newport, we decided QA best fit our needs and desires. The setting is both elegant and intimate, the food is tasty, the pricing is very competitive, and our coordinator Amanda made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Trying to plan a RI wedding while living in the Midwest is as difficult as you'd imagine - so to be able to communicate through emails with Amanda during the planning process, and also knowing you're in professional hands the night of your event, was absolutely crucial for us. My cousin Tim said you have to look into Queen Anne's Loft for the wedding rehearsal dinner we were planning. We went to look at the place and met Amanda Roderick. The location and the inside of the venue couldn't be more perfect for what we were looking for. Amanda was as sweet as she was professional and even though it was her first year in this venue, we knew from talking with her about her background in food service and entertaining that this was the place to book. Everything, and I mean everything, was spot on from her staff to the Passed Hors D'ooeuvres, the cocktail hour and finally with the wonderful buffet that we selected. Amanda's recommendations were most welcome and she knew just what to say and do to help us with our choices. Amanda was always prompt to reply to any questions we had during the entire process. We believe in using a small business that is just getting started and are so happy we chose Queen Anne's Loft. You will not go wrong using this venue for your special occasion. Once the secret is out, this place will be first on the list of everyone. If you want a true feel of Newport then this is the location for you. My husband and I needed to book a venue in the Newport area for our son and future daughter-in-law's wedding. After carefully considering several locations, we chose Queen Anne's Loft as our venue - and what a great choice we made! While several area hotels offer space for such events, we wanted to find a venue that specialized in catered events. Queen Anne's Loft does just that - and they do it very, very well. Everything on our checklist was met - an intimate setting with gorgeous views of the Newport Harbor, on-site catering and seasoned staff that pay attention to detail. The Victorian flare throughout the building and Loft was exactly what we were looking for when considering our event. Passed Hors D’oeuvres during cocktail hour were lovely and the perfect touch as guests begin to mingle. The plated dinners went off without a hitch, including several child-appropriate meals. Many guests complimented the quality of the meals served, which was very important to us as foodies. The bar is upscale yet inviting, while the Loft itself is light and airy. Bathrooms are among the most important considerations of any venue, and those within the Loft are pristine. The views of the harbor and downtown Newport were gorgeous through the massive windows and doors. The Loft, when fully set up for an event delivers the ambiance and warm setting we were looking for. Our coordinator, Amanda was prompt to reply to any question or concern throughout the entire planning process. Her attention to detail, the beautiful setting at the Loft and quality of service for the dollar are all reasons we would plan our next event here. Judging by how popular Newport is as a wedding location, my guess is that as folks discover this gem of a venue it will become harder to book as time goes on - don't wait!

Amanda Rolando (Director of Sales) Hello, I'm Amanda! I was born and raised in Newport and love living in the area. Newport is a wonderful place for a wedding celebration. I have over a decade of experience in events management, and got my degree in Hospitality and Events Management from Endicott College. Queen Anne's Loft is unique because we are a smaller event venue geared towards more intimate weddings, but still providing a completely private and elegant, but affordable venue for your special event.
