My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Radisson. We started working with the team in 2021 when we booked. Months before our reception, there was a staff transition as the previous wedding coordinator had left. We then began working with the new coordinator, Melanie. Leading up to the reception, Melanie was on the ball. She made sure to communicate, accommodate, and help my husband and I. There were some hiccups, but this was purely due to staff transitions. Melanie made us feel reassured and calm throughout the chaos. Our guests were impressed with the drinks, the appetizers, and the dinner. Overall we recommend the Radisson for both stays and a wedding reception. The ballroom looked incredible. Also, we’d like to mention Anna decorated much of the space and hallway beautifully. We can’t say enough great things!

This was the MOST perfect place to host our wedding reception. My husband is a BIG train history fan, and having our wedding reception in an old train station was the perfect move. My guests, even months after, still talk about how great the party was and how selflessly KIND all of the staff were! Of the whole day, the reception held at the Radisson was definitely one of the absolute best parts. We could not have had such a great day without the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place and its amazing people.

This is a unique building, but I would not recommend reserving a wedding block here. They do not seem very organized, which caused a lot of our requests to fall through the cracks. We had issues confirming the number of rooms in our block, and they were very unresponsive when I requested a list of our guests, which caused difficulty in getting the right number of welcome bags for each room. Our experience with the nearby Hilton was much better.

We are so happy that we had our wedding at the Radisson. They helped our vision come to life and the ballroom was absolutely stunning. Felicity was a huge help in the process! My husband and I got married at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel on June 25th, 2022. We decided to have our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on site, and we had the pleasure of working alongside Wedding Specialist, Felicity. Our entire wedding process was not only smooth, but FUN. Felicity is extremely organized, creative, friendly, and great with communication. She answered all of our questions along the way, and helped us to stay on track with the wedding planning timeline. My husband and I were able to add our own special touches to the wedding and make decisions about both large and small details. Hosting your wedding at the Radisson truly is a personalized experience. I honestly felt NO stress on the day of the wedding as Felicity and her team handled all of the logistics. I am extremely grateful that I was able to truly enjoy every moment of my wedding day - from getting ready all the way through the reception - all thanks to the incredible work of Felicity and her team. The guests at my wedding had a wonderful time, and loved the fact that they could stay at the Radisson on the night of the wedding. We even continued the party at the Trax Bar in the lobby after the reception had ended. Before we toured Radisson we just knew it was our place. Sure we went to other venues just because it felt like the right thing to do, but nowhere else held a candle to the beauty, professionalism, and overall good vibes we got here. Once we were locked in the whole planning process for the ceremony and reception was super simple and straightforward from the get-go. This was mostly in part because of Felicity, truly a superstar wedding coordinator. We cannot say enough great things about working with her - she was always super personable, responsive, and accommodating with everything we possibly needed (and patient to boot!) The available packages were very flexible and she could make any additional or weird request we had happen without batting an eye. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, went smoothly the day of our wedding from the timeline to coordinating with vendors to handling our signage. We had quite a few bells and whistles for our décor/reception and Felicity made sure everything was just so, this girl understood the assignment and knocked it out of the park. The set up was beautiful, food was delicious, drinks were great, and staff was stellar. 10/10 would get married here again (but thankfully we won't need to)

It’s hard to compete with the beauty and uniqueness of the lobby area (where we had our cocktail hour, but where you are also able to have your ceremony)! In addition to that, we loved the convenience of having everything in one place, (including Trax for an after party which felt more fun than a typical hotel bar) as well as the central location in downtown Scranton making it easier for our guests to fill their downtime. Finally, we were so grateful to the wedding coordinator, Felicity! She was incredibly helpful in the planning process, super attentive and prompt with responding to questions and made sure every detail was taken care of on the wedding day. Not every venue comes with a built in wedding coordinator so this felt like an extra great perk! Overall we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this venue for a Scranton wedding!!

The Lackawanna Station Hotel was the perfect venue for our small Christmas wedding. The lobby decorations were beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for our cocktail hour. Our reception was in the Platform Lounge and fit our vibe and aesthetic perfectly. Everything was set up exactly as we had discussed. Felicity and Abbey were both wonderful to work with during the planning process. They were responsive to e-mails and very accommodating to our ideas. Even though we had a very small wedding, they still paid great attention to detail and made us feel very special on our wedding day. We received so many compliments from our guests both on the food as well as the decor and beauty of the venue.

This venue is beautiful. We choose it mostly because of the lobby. It's really unique and makes for pretty amazing photos. Ill be honest, I thought long and hard before giving 4 stars because there were a few hiccups along the way. The wedding coordinator/specialist changed 3 times, but this all happened during the pandemic. I first booked the Radisson back in 2019 for an Oct 2020 wedding. My wedding finally happened in Oct 2021. There were a few issues along the way, a couple of things that needed to get sorted out and fought through but all in all, I would say it wasn't a bad experience at all. Felicity, although new on her role, was as accommodating as she could be. Abbey, the sales director, worked with me as best she could though some things as well. I will say, the day of my wedding, any issues that I might have had were all long forgotten as the team really did such a phenomenal job. Not ONE thing went wrong. So all in all, my experience was a good one with this venue for sure!

We had a tremendous time. Even though we were the first couple to have our wedding at the outdoor event it went very well. The food was excellent. The setting was absolutely perfect and we had a great day weather wise as well. The wedding planners Felicity and Abbey did a super job and our guests still talk about how great the venue worked out. We had the time of our lives!

As the mother of the groom, I can tell you the Radisson Hotel in Scranton Pa, is by far the most beautiful venue for a wedding. Felicity and her staff were the most professional, accommodating people to work with. Everything was beautiful and it was an amazing weekend for all of us and our guests.We did not have to ask for anything, it was all done for us. The staff during the reception were amazing!! They asked the guests if there was anything they needed throughout the night! They never stopped, they were so attentive ,all the guests were truly amazed of the service and professionalism from everybody at this venue!!The food throughout cocktail hour, dinner and the after party was first class all the way!! Felicity and her staff were the most professional, accommodating people to work with. Everything was beautiful and it was an amazing weekend for all of us and our guests.We did not have to ask for anything, it was all done for us. The staff during the reception were amazing!! They asked the guests if there was anything they needed throughout the night! I can’t say enough good things about the Radisson as a wedding venue. Amanda is a dream come true to work with she saved me from having numerous breakdowns during the difficult stages of wedding planning and helped my new husband and I with everything! The day of the wedding we were in very good hands, between Amanda checking in on us every step of the day from start to finish but then all the other staff waiting on us every second of the night. The entire place was spotless and beautiful, everyone was beyond helpful and attentive. I can’t recommend the Radisson as a wedding venue enough!!!!

We held our wedding at the Radisson over a year ago, and we are still receiving compliments on the reception! From the amazing food and drinks, to beautiful architecture and decor, every detail exceeded our expectations. After touring multiple venues in NEPA, we felt completely at home and at ease with the environment at the Radisson. While Amanda was amazing during the planning process, she continued to out-perform herself the night of our event as well. She even went above and beyond to correct issues that arose from some of our other vendors that evening too. We held our wedding at the Radisson over a year ago, and we are still receiving compliments on the reception! From the amazing food and drinks, to beautiful architecture and decor, every detail exceeded our expectations. After touring multiple venues in NEPA, we felt completely at home and at ease with the environment at the Radisson. We enjoyed a magical evening and celebration of our daughter’s wedding at the beautiful Radisson Hotel. Everything about the evening was seamless and beautiful. From the gorgeous fountain and marble columns in the lobby to the red, ivory and gold color theme ballroom to the magnificent entertainment of Picture Perfect, the high quality culinary experience with a Scottish flare , flowers, photographer, bagpiper, pianist, artist and signage....and so much more.....we highly recommend the Radisson and the very capable team of our wedding planner Amanda, and Mary and Luis and staff. We started working with Amanda from the Radisson in August of the previous year. She was extremely helpful in making this process as easy as possible. She answered each email and question quickly and I never had to worry about a thing. She reassured us that the day would be perfect and that it was. She was our lifeline when we lost our photographer just 18 days out. I can’t say enough good things about Amanda, and how much she eased our minds about every little detail. Fast forward to our wedding day. Everything was above and beyond our expectations, and seeing the ballroom come together was breathtaking. Each staff member made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. The staff members at our after party were so much fun! As a person who has a hard time handing over the reins to someone else, I knew I was in the right hands with Amanda and the Radisson. I highly recommend the Radisson for any event or wedding needs! It was the best day ever, and we’re forever grateful of the memories we have.

From the start of planning, Amanda D. was so helpful and accommodating in the process of choosing all of the fine details. She was always available to answer a quick question and she never even batted an eye when we made last minute changes. She even set us up with a musician when our original plan fell through (with not a lot of time to spare). Amanda is a truly a lifesaver!! When it came to the big day, everything went off without a hitch. Amanda and Mary continuously checked on me while getting ready and they both even made sure that I got to eat the amazing food during the busy day. We got married in the atrium and it was stunning! The amazing staff even made sure there were no random people wandering into the ceremony (since it is the lobby). We had brunch in the ballroom and the space was set up so beautifully and it honestly exceeded the expectations that I had. The bartenders and staff that helped with brunch were so friendly and accommodating to our guests. Also, the food was delicious and all of our guests were very pleased. Overall it was an amazing experience to get married at the Radisson, I would highly recommend this venue for any couple looking to get married in Scranton.

I had my ceremony and reception at the Radisson. Let me tell you, wedding planning was in no way shape or form stress free or easy. However, Amanda DiPierro from The Radisson made it easy and so much less stressful!Let me start of first by saying the venue/hotel itself is gorgeous inside and out. It’s a perfect place for a wedding no matter the season. You can get amazing pictures outside the hotel, in the surrounding area, as well as indoors.The food? Bomb. All of my guests could not rave enough about the food. Amanda was very accommodating, from allergies to providing vegan/vegetarian options. One of my guests is allergic to more than 5 major food items and they accommodated her needs no problem! Everyone loved the drinks/bars and the prices were very reasonable.The staff were absolutely amazing, helpful, nice and really tended to all guests. Me and my husband were running around and the staff made sure we were able to get our meal. They even wrapped it up and stored it in the fridge of our overnight room (which is provided in the wedding package—so cool).The place was well kept and super clean.Any last minute issues we ran into, Amanda made sure to be on top of EVERYTHING. She made sure nothing was out of place and everything was handled smoothly. Mary helps out with the ceremony, making sure the bridal party is prepared and fully ready. She’s the sweetest little thing! And super on top of things, making sure everyone understands their place and that mistakes are covered up no problem!Overall, I had an excellent experience and fully recommended The Radisson in Scranton, PA to everyone! From the first time we stepped into the grand foyer, we were taken away by how beautiful and historic the venue was. We both felt that the price was worth the investment and that everything was so easy to customize based on our needs. It was defiantly a stress relief knowing that we didn’t have to pay for those things we didn’t want or go without something that we did. Each step in the planning process was well organized, communicated and broken down into manageable sections that were easy to complete or modify as we went. Throughout all the planning meetings, email, calls and drop-in’s, the coordinator was a godsend and truly took care of everything. She not only coordinated with the vendors, kept us on track, answered every question imaginable, she was there for support, laughter and guidance from start-to-finish. Our outside vendors all complemented the staff for being so easy to work with and friendly. The food and chef were 5-star in my book. As someone with dietary restrictions, I felt completely confident that he took the time and attention to make sure that every ingredient that went into our meals was perfect. Our guests raved about the quality and amount of food that they received and were pleasantly surprised with it not being the traditional “wedding chicken” they’ve eaten at weddings past. The staff throughout the entire weekend went above and beyond to make us and our guests feel welcomed and pampered, often stopping to ask if there was anything they could do to help and offering coffee. The rooms and accommodations could not have been any more accommodating. The bridal suite provided the perfect setup and amount of space for everyone to get ready and photographed beautifully! There was no hallway, stairwell or space outside that was not accessible to us and our photographer. Even prior to our weeding, we were invited to take a tour with our photographer to capture the spaces and views the venue has to offer. Truly breathtaking! Our guests are still talking about how stunning the venue was and marveling over our pictures! We could not imagine going anywhere else for our special day and cannot thank their staff enough for their accommodations and hospitality that made our day so magical.

My husband and I had the most incredible experience working with Amanda and the Radisson crew! Our reception was more beautiful and amazing than we ever could have imagined or hoped for. Amanda is an AMAZING wedding coordinator, who loves her job and those she works with. She is there to help you with anything and everything - every step of the way. We couldn’t feel any more lucky to have had the opportunity to have her along our wedding planning journey. Along with Amanda, the entire staff throughout our entire reception were INCREDIBLE. From the bartenders, to the servers, to those who are always there to make sure you have eaten or have a drink in your hand. What an amazing crew, and an amazing venue. My husband (I get to say that now!!!!!!) and I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to check out the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in your wedding planning journey, you absolutely will not regret it.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Radisson in July 2019 and it exceeded our expectations! Being from separate regions of New York State, we searched for a venue that was centrally located, allowed for the ceremony and reception to be held at the same place, and offered enough accommodations for all of our guests. The Radisson not only checked all of our boxes but was beautiful and unique as well! We worked with Amanda, the venue's wedding coordinator, and from day one she made everything so easy. Amanda thought of every possible detail and made sure our wedding day went seamlessly. Amanda and the rest of the Radisson staff took care of just about everything on our big day, all we really had to do was show up! Additionally, working with Brian of the MCR Design Group through the Radisson was so great. Neither of us had very specific visions for our day but all we had to do was give Brian a couple of simple ideas and he did the rest -- the decorations were so beautiful! We cannot say enough good things about the Radisson and its staff, we are so happy with our decision to have our wedding there. Our day was perfect and our guests could not stop raving about how great everything was!!

We recently held our daughters wedding at the Radisson and what a great experience.. Amanda (catering specialist) was great, always there to ease my mind with the numerous questions I had since my daughter lives out of state... The Wedding was perfect from start to finish. The Ceremony, Cocktail Hour to the Reception were amazing. We still have guest telling us how great it was. From the moment my partner and I walked into the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel Scranton, we knew it was the wedding venue we’d wanted. The grandeur of the of lobby, the rich history and timeless elegance of the venue were undeniable. We also loved the fact that our wedding guest were able to stay the venue which was so convenient and gave us as much time as possible with all our guest as a number had flown in from overseas and interstate. There was a change of wedding coordinators at the Radisson about six months after we signed our contract. At first I was a bit worried, but then I started corresponding with Amanda and instantly was put at ease. From the moment she came on board until the wedding day (and even after!) she was on top of every detail and made sure our wedding day went off without a hitch. Mary was also absolutely lovely and just the sweetest and made sure my groom and I were well looked after during the entire reception and at breakfast the next morning. We received SO many compliments from our guest at how beautiful the venue was and how kind and responsive all the staff were. We had our welcome drinks in the Trax Bar the night before the wedding and then our cocktail hour in the Grand Lobby, reception in the Ballroom and wedding brunch on Sunday morning in the Platform lounge. Every moment of the wedding weekend was just fantastic. I cannot say enough great things about the Radisson and the staff, most especially Amanda- no question was too silly or task too much to ask of her- she was on top of every detail!

We were married at the Radisson this past June of 2019. I could not say enough good things about the wedding coordinator Amanda! She was on top of things at all times, which was extremely helpful since we were out town. Moreover she is just a nice person and easy to get along with, which is important given how often you will be in contact as your wedding approaches. We had a smaller wedding (off site service) so we held our reception in the lobby, which was beautifully set up. Using the outdoor patio for our cocktail our was also a great touch guests appreciated. The one thing I would say is that it can get warm out there so if you have older family coming in make sure they have a spot indoors to fall back to depending on the time of year. The food was also very good, people loved the appetizers and there are vegetarian and children's options that do not count in toward your main meal selections. Overall our experience working with the Radisson really was positive. They were willing to work with us to make all our extra requests and ideas work where it was possible and very very flexible with adjusting hotel blocks as needed. I would highly recommend the site for anyone

The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel was the perfect place for our dream wedding. Amanda was amazing to work with. She made every part of the planning process effortless. The cocktail hour in the lobby was gorgeous. The ballroom for the reception looked like something out of a dream. The food was delicious! Amanda even helped us plan an after party that surprised all our guests as well as a late night snack of Philly cheesesteaks. All our guests had a blast and said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. We had very high expectations and the Radisson and Amanda far exceeded them!!! Thank you for a day we will never forget!

She calmly and efficiently took care of all our wedding details, even though our communication was only through email and phone, as my husband and I live out of state. The day of the wedding we had a few hiccups with a few of our other vendors which would have impacted the reception, but Amanda took care of the issues and made sure everything ran smoothly. The service from the staff was amazing as well; the food was great and the whole night just flowed perfectly. Our family kept talking about how beautiful the Radisson was. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect wedding. If you're looking for a venue in the Scranton area, definitely choose the Radisson; Amanda and her team won't let you down!Thank you Amanda for everything! Jeff and I had an amazing time :D

From day 1 of wedding planning, I knew I wanted the reception and hotel at the same location. I also knew that, even though I’m from Maryland, my family is mostly in Scranton/Avoca, so I was going to have my wedding in the area. My parents had their reception at the Lackawanna Radisson back in the 80s, so I decided to check it out. It was PERFECT!!! Everyone was super friendly from the beginning and, on the big day, we felt like royalty. All of our guests noted the incredible service they received from checking in to cocktail hour to the reception to the after party. It was SO NICE being surrounded by helpful, happy people on such an eventful evening! The food.... absolutely delicious. My only regret was not eating more! We received so many compliments on the food from our guests. It did not taste like typical wedding food. It was more like eating at a fancy restaurant. Everything came out on time and nobody left hungry.Amanda DiPierro. I would be lost without her. I still can’t believe how lucky we were to have such an organized, driven, on-top-of-it-all planner. She was extremely responsive from the beginning and never missed an email or call throughout the planning process (and I had a lot of questions all the time). On the day of, I felt so at ease because I knew she was there, triaging any problem that may have come up so that I didn’t get stressed. I’m sure I don’t even know half of what she dealt with on the big day. She transitioned from interacting with me (the bride), families, vendors, guests, staff, etc. with such ease and professionalism. There are not enough words to thank Amanda for everything she did.

Once I walked through the front doors, I fell in love with how beautiful the lobby was! When I left my initial meeting, I cancelled all other venue appointments I had. The Radisson had everything we were looking for and the staff was so welcoming and professional. The wedding specialist, Amanda, was fantastic to work with. Whenever I had a question or concern, she was always prompt to answer and help with everything! She made the planning process smoother than I ever could have imagined. I never felt stressed or overwhelmed since she was so organized and attentive. On the day of the wedding, she was always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, and most importantly, made sure my husband and I took time to actually eat at cocktail hour! We had the ceremony in the lobby and Amanda and Mary worked together to make sure the timing of everything was perfect. The entire staff at the Radisson was exceptional and made our wedding day so special. Words can’t describe how happy we are with how everything turned out!

Absolutely fantastic! Their wedding coordinator and entire staff did everything to make sure that our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. The coordinator also offered suggestions and ideas when we weren't 100% sure of what to do. Everyone was very attentive and our guests really enjoyed themselves. Food is amazing and if you don't want something, you can always switch it for something else. Would absolutely recommend having a reception here. And it's very convenient because our hotel room was right upstairs! If your having a Saturday wedding, brunch the next day is also a great add on.

We are not local to the Scranton area, so we also held our rehearsal dinner and an after-wedding brunch there as well. Everything was just perfectly done. Amanda, Mary, and the entire staff were exceedingly nice and helpful. We felt completely taken care of and everyone who works there seemed genuinely happy for us.In addition to the wonderful staff, the building itself is gorgeous and makes for the most amazing pictures. The food is also excellent- all of our guests raved about their meals. We highly recommend the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel if you are looking to get married in this area or want a historical building to get married in. We wanted the latter, and are thrilled that we made Scranton the place for our \"destination\" wedding.

From the moment we met Amanda, we knew we would be in good hands! She had Mallory and Matt's back from the moment we booked until the last good bye! She made sure they ate, she made sure our glasses were never empty. She touched base with all of our venders. When we had trouble finding an acceptable DJ and photographer, she put us on the right track. She has more energy than the Energizer bunny and no one knows the wedding industry better than her! She did everything humanly possible to make sure things went without a hitch. But not everything could be in her control. When an important part of Mallory's ensemble went missing, Amanda fixed it. When the rings got left at the hotel and the ceremony was about to start, Amanda fixed it. There is absolutely nothing she can't fix. As for the hotel itself, it was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in and each staff member I passed in the corridors offered a friendly hello and offer of assistance. All of the food was superb from the breakfast buffet Saturday morning ( this staff was also top shelf) to the hors d'oeuvres in the atrium to the dessert at the reception. This was the first time I ever experienced wait staff staying with the tables after dinner was served. They went to get drinks so that the guests could continue visiting with people they hadn't seen in a long while. There is not one thing that I can say was even average. Everyone went above and beyond my expectations and I was expecting alot!

This was the first time I ever experienced wait staff staying with the tables after dinner was served. They went to get drinks so that the guests could continue visiting with people they hadn't seen in a long while. There is not one thing that I can say was even average. Everyone went above and beyond my expectations and I was expecting alot!

I have always loved the Radisson. I think it is absolutely beautiful and I enjoy the history behind it. I have been to birthdays, anniversary parties, and brunch there. It was my dream since I was a teenager to have my wedding here. Funny enough, my wedding was the first wedding I attended at the Radisson. It did not disappoint! My day was wonderful, went exactly as planned, and everyone who attended enjoyed the food. There was a tiny hiccup at one point of the reception, but Amanda, the wedding coordinator, fixed it immediately. All she had to do was see the look on my face! I loved the feeling that the staff would bend over backwards to make me happy. I had everything I wanted on my special day! We were given a jacuzzi suite for our wedding night. (It was nice to soak after a long day!) The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I also had my Bridal Shower here, which was equally as excellent. I highly recommend!

The ceremony and cocktail hour in the lobby was so beautiful and the ballroom where the reception was held was equally as beautiful. The food was delicious and the event exceeded our expectations. Most of all, the Radisson has the most amazing staff. Amanda was incredible to work with and helped us through every step of the planning. I just had my wedding on September 30th at the BEAUTIFUL Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. I could not have imagined my wedding at any other venue. The building itself is absolutely stunning - especially the lobby, which you can use for your ceremony. We had our reception in the ballroom which was just as beautiful with crystal chandeliers and draping on the ceiling. I also got TONS of compliments on the food. But the real magic is their team - from the events coordinators to the servers and bartenders, everyone was SO helpful, friendly and accommodating. Mary was the coordinator for my wedding and she was seriously on top of everything, coming up to me wherever I was in the reception probably every hour asking me if I needed a drink or some food. Not to mention they made the ballroom look amazing for me adding their own touches with my candles and centerpieces. I seriously can’t thank the team at the Radisson enough. They made my wedding absolutely perfect.

We chose this venue because we thought it was so cool that it was an old train station converted into a hotel- and we chose to have our wedding ceremony in the lobby, cocktail hour in the lounge, and the reception in the ballroom. It was amazing and safe for our guests that they did not have to travel throughout the night. The venue was just beautiful. The best part overall was the staff- they took such great care of my now husband and I, as well as our families. In the days before the wedding, the Radisson's wedding coordinator helped us with just about everything- from setting up last minute things we forgot to contacting our other vendors with problems so I didn't have to. The night of the wedding staff constantly asked if we needed anything and were truly fantastic to our families. The hotel itself is clean and renovated well. The food, drinks, and dessert were all delicious. Everything was perfect. TLDR; if you are unsure about the Radisson- go for it!!! It was the best choice we made regarding our wedding.

I should preface this by saying that I do a good many high end events for both charity and personal reasons and have very high standards for both. I knew that the venue was a beautiful setting for a wedding however I want certain as to the quality of the food as my children selected some very sophisticated hors d’oeuvres and menu. Let me just say that I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the presentation was beautiful. The staff, starting with Courtney our wedding liaison and Mary who oversaw the evening events, were amazing. They handled every detail and request made with care and professionalism. The wait staff and the bar tender were also extremely professional. The wait staff went above and beyond to insure that the bride and groom as well as all of the guests were accommodated. They asked if people needed beverages during dinner as well as help some guests bring dishes to their tables. I could not recommend a venue more highly. I am also envolved in a huge fundraiser that we are having their this friday night and can say with confidence that it will also be spectacular.

My fiance and I chose the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel for our wedding reception, and were so pleased with every aspect of our special day! After touring a few venues in the greater Scranton area, the Radisson had the unique touches we were looking for- the lobby is just beautiful- and the space we needed for our 200+ guests. We had welcome drinks Friday for guests at Trax, and a day after brunch and everything was PERFECT. We were able to rent out the entire lobby for our cocktail hour, and paired with the delicious food we chose, our guests were extremely impressed! We were able to customize everything that we wanted, from upgraded appetizers, to passed food, to a custom pasta bar that my husband wanted! The day-of staff was exceptional, setting up all of the extra reception items and decorations we brought up, and collected everything into boxes at the end of the night. Mary, Luis and of course Courtney were all so wonderful. They were so accommodating and friendly throughout, you could tell they were genuinely excited and happy for us, and thrilled to be taking part in our big day which is something you don’t see that often! Courtney assisted us from day one, answering thousands of questions over the 18 months that we planned our wedding. Our wedding would not have been so perfect and so wonderful without her help! Any issue we had, she worked out, which was so crucial planning a wedding remotely (as we both live in New Jersey). Finally, it was so great to have all of our guests staying at the hotel in the beautiful new rooms so we could spend the whole weekend together. We truly were so pleased with the Radisson’s professionalism and experience in the wedding business and would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the Scranton area!

My fiance and I chose the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel for our wedding reception, and were so pleased with every aspect of our special day! After touring a few venues in the greater Scranton area, the Radisson had the unique touches we were looking for- the lobby is just beautiful- and the space we needed for our 200+ guests. We had welcome drinks Friday for guests at Trax, and a day after brunch and everything was PERFECT. We were able to rent out the entire lobby for our cocktail hour, and paired with the delicious food we chose, our guests were extremely impressed! We were able to customize everything that we wanted, from upgraded appetizers, to passed food, to a custom pasta bar that my husband wanted! The day-of staff was exceptional, setting up all of the extra reception items and decorations we brought up, and collected everything into boxes at the end of the night. Mary, Luis and of course Courtney were all so wonderful. They were so accommodating and friendly throughout, you could tell they were genuinely excited and happy for us, and thrilled to be taking part in our big day which is something you don’t see that often! Courtney assisted us from day one, answering thousands of questions over the 18 months that we planned our wedding. Our wedding would not have been so perfect and so wonderful without her help! Any issue we had, she worked out, which was so crucial planning a wedding remotely (as we both live in New Jersey). Finally, it was so great to have all of our guests staying at the hotel in the beautiful new rooms so we could spend the whole weekend together. We truly were so pleased with the Radisson’s professionalism and experience in the wedding business and would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the Scranton area!

I just got married at the Radisson a couple of weeks ago. I really cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! GET MARRIED HERE!!!!! The hotel keeps everything so organized from the moment you start planning to the day of the wedding. Courtney is so phenomenal! She is so nice, understanding, and on top of everything. Anything you want leading up to the day, she has it taken care of no matter how last minute you are with details. And Mary. Oh goodness, she is a god send day of for your wedding. I don't know if I could have enjoyed my day if I didn't have Mary behind the scenes. She is absolutely amazing and makes you feel so at ease for everything that is happening. We had a wedding of 286 guests at the Radisson in January. The views of the cocktail hour cannot compete with any other venue. I was told the appetizers around the fountain \"looked like a picture from a magazine.\" The lines at the bars for the cocktail always seem to be backed up, which result in people ordering multiple drinks to add to the problem. The ballroom is also beautiful. It was not too crowded even with a head table and 26 other tables. The dance floor was spacious too. Being a nervous bride, I did not eat much of my dinner, but all of the other guests raved about the food (prime rib or chicken). The waitstaff was very helpful and attentive. The reception was over at 11, and although the bars closed, the staff did not kick us out of the ballroom since the DJ was still playing. The only complaint I would have is that there were many events scheduled on the same day- 4 to be exact. I felt as though the hotel could have schedule less events and provided even better service than we already did receive.

We got married on September 30th and having it at the Radisson was the best decision I made!! The ceremony was right in the lobby and on paper a wedding in a hotel lobby doesn’t sound too glamorous, but believe me - it was! It was such a beautiful ceremony and the history surrounding the hotel made it that much more special. If you are having lots of out of town guests it’s the perfect location since it’s right off the highway and easy to get to. It was also wonderful having the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and guests rooms all under one roof. No one had to drive anywhere and Traxx bar was great for the guests to go to between the ceremony and the cocktail hour. Courtney was great to work with leading up to the day and Mary was my savior as the day of coordinator! As soon as we met Mary at our rehearsal dinner she truly made my husband and I feel as if we were the only people in the whole hotel that weekend. Louis was our personal server on the wedding day and was amazing. He made a plate of food for me at the cocktail hour since he saw I was so busy mingling with the guests and didn’t have time to eat - how amazing is that?! Furthermore, my husband had a bad cold and Louis made him tea with a shot of whisky - and kept it flowing! He even had some sent up to our suite that night. Talk about service! My mother’s table also had a dedicated server- Carole- that she raved about, too! At the end of the night the staff placed our guest book, card box, etc. in our suite so we had vertically no clean up. They even saved the centerpieces and placed them on the tables the next morning for our breakfast. They literally thought of everything to make our weekend as smooth as possible! If you are on the fence about having your wedding at the Radisson - take it from me and do it! All night my guests kept coming up to me to tell me how much they loved everything and that’s exactly what you want to hear after all the hard work you put into planning a wedding!

We had our wedding here September 2017. The building is beautiful and rich in history. The banquet hall is renovated and well as the platform room. The lobby has a beautiful fountain. Carmen, the restaurant is located here. The food was delicious!! We were born near Scranton. All of our out-of-town guests were impressed with the proximity to bars, restaurants, the trolley museum, Nay Aug Park. We got married at the Radisson in July of this year. I worked this Courtney during our year and a half engagement. She was so great to work with! She is friendly, professional and made the whole process seamless, which is what every bride is looking for! We chose the Radisson because of the character and reputation they have, they did not disappoint! The accommodations for us, our wedding party and our friends/family were reasonably priced and gorgeous. We got ready in suite 209 ( I think it's called the hospitality suite) and it was a great spot for pictures. We also hung out here with our bridal party prior to our ceremony. There was a bar, refrigerator, couches, chairs, and a bathroom. When we checked in we were treated like royalty. The service we received at our wedding reception was amazing. I had lobster and my husband had beef filet. It was hands down the best lobster I ever had in my life. If you are looking for a great location with character and class, choose the Radisson. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable and we still are receiving compliments over how nice our wedding was. Thank you for making our wedding weekend so memorable, Courtney, you rock!

Overall, our wedding day on April 29th, 2017 was amazing. The food was delicious, the staff was amazing and Mary was spectacular, and would magically appear everywhere before we even thought we needed her!Courtney our wedding planner was wonderful, answered all my emails right away as we were from out of town, and could not be at the venue often. Anything we spoke about, she made it happen! We could not have been happier overall with our day.The review is long - because we felt it fair to explain why, in the beginning, things were confusing and not executed well.Courtney, Mary, and the staff on our day were nothing short of SPECTACULAR. We could not have asked for better people to make our special day happen.However, there were some snags and communication errors upon the way that did make things stressful at times. Originally, our coordinator was Danielle ( who no longer works there and has no impact on our day). We were showed the venue, the hospitality room ( where we could get ready) and everything was wonderful. I knew I wanted to get married here so a contract was drawn up. Cut to 2 months later, when we realized that our contract dates are wrong for payments, and 2 payments would be due after the wedding was already over! We were also quoted completely incorrect pricing for the reception packages. We had to speak to multiple people, and in this time frame, Danielle left - and we were worried!When Courtney took over, everything was much better! Constant contact and help and she was great about everything! She was on point with everything- pricing, timelines, packages - etc. She came on in the middle of our planning and turned everything around.Our contract was eventually worked out, even though we did have to make payments in a smaller timeframe than expected., but they worked on our budget in others areas. The hospitality room was made out to be included, but it was not. They did make that happen for us since we were having our rehearsal dinner the night before and staying there as well.Also, many of our friends who were married already, were shocked ( as well as we were) to find out that we only would get to taste 2 options free of charge for our wedding - anything else would have to be paid for out of pocket - which my husband is vegetarian so we had to pay to try that additional plate!We did, of course, receive a jacuzzi suite to stay in the night of our wedding - but we came to find out later there were other suites available that our guest stayed in that were nicer - and were never offered to us as an option - even if we had to pay extra for it.The day of, we found out that Mary, the banquet manager would be with us on the day of, and not Courtney, which we were confused about, but she was wonderful and ran everything so smooth! The only hiccup was after the ceremony no one was escorted to the lounge so when cocktail hour started they had not set up any of the high tables- so people were looking for places to sit - they were running behind.They also seemed short staffed -the employee at the front desk was brand hew - his first day and he was there alone checking people in, he was frazzled but did an amazing job at handling it in every way he could. The wait staff and bartenders that day were amazing, we always had drinks, food and anything we needed!The venue and rooms were beautiful, and they did a great job. Family and friends were talking about the venue, the food, and the atmosphere for days after our wedding.

They did make that happen for us since we were having our rehearsal dinner the night before and staying there as well.Also, many of our friends who were married already, were shocked ( as well as we were) to find out that we only would get to taste 2 options free of charge for our wedding - anything else would have to be paid for out of pocket - which my husband is vegetarian so we had to pay to try that additional plate!We did, of course, receive a jacuzzi suite to stay in the night of our wedding - but we came to find out later there were other suites available that our guest stayed in that were nicer - and were never offered to us as an option - even if we had to pay extra for it.The day of, we found out that Mary, the banquet manager would be with us on the day of, and not Courtney, which we were confused about, but she was wonderful and ran everything so smooth! The only hiccup was after the ceremony no one was escorted to the lounge so when cocktail hour started they had not set up any of the high tables- so people were looking for places to sit - they were running behind.They also seemed short staffed -the employee at the front desk was brand hew - his first day and he was there alone checking people in, he was frazzled but did an amazing job at handling it in every way he could. The wait staff and bartenders that day were amazing, we always had drinks, food and anything we needed!The venue and rooms were beautiful, and they did a great job. Family and friends were talking about the venue, the food, and the atmosphere for days after our wedding.

The day was everything I dreamed it would be and I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding in Scranton!

We had our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception at the Radisson Lackawanna Station on November 12, 2016 and we could not have planned a more beautiful and elegant ceremony and reception. Courtney and her staff are wonderful to work with - both with us and our vendors. We heard nothing but compliments on the venue, the food and with 200 guests, there was never a line at the bar! Mary did an awesome job organizing the events of the day including making sure the many gift cards were secured throughout the night! Courtney, Mary, and the staff took care of the details so my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy the party with our guests! My daughter told us the next day that it had truly been the \"wedding of my dreams\" - what more can you ask for!!

I was very nervous because a few months before my wedding, I found out that my wedding coordinator had left and I was going to be dealing with someone new. I can't even describe how absolutely amazing this venue was! The actual space itself is breathtaking, as the Radisson is such a gorgeous historical building. The staff really goes the extra mile to make every single detail unbelievable. I had the fantastic pleasure of working with Courtney as my planner leading up to and through most of my big day, and Mary who took over for the events of my wedding. Both women deserve awards for how amazing they are! Super sweet,nice, attentive, knowledgeable, and just plain awesome! Even the wait staff was incredible, Luis was the waiter for the head table and none of us, especially my husband and I, ever had a want or need that wasn't met immediately, most times things were brought before we ever even noticed we needed them! The food?! There are no words for how good that food was!! My wedding was nothing short of magical, hands down the most incredible day of my life! Courtney was always readily available by phone and email to answer any questions we had. We had our cocktail hour in the lobby and it was beautiful! We then had our reception in the ball room. The Radisson is a beautiful venue that really doesn't need a lot of additional decorations. The Radisson staff are top notch, each table had their own waiter, and many of my guests commented on how nice and attentive the staff was. Our parents also commented that they felt very well taken care of during the cocktail hour/ reception, which we really appreciated. The food was so good!! Many of our guests said we had the best wedding food they had had in a long time! As far as cake cutting and bouquet toss,The Radisson staff literally walk you through what to do right before it happens. My husband and I had our wedding ceremony/cocktail hour in the lobby, and the reception in the main ballroom. We loved this venue because of its historic and charming feel. We liked that The Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel is already beautiful enough without really needing any extra décor really needed for the wedding ceremony in the lobby. The main ballroom is very large and there was plenty of room for our 175 guests-you really forget you are at a hotel because the main ballroom is in a more secluded area part of the venue with its own bathrooms. Another one of the reasons we choose the Radisson was to make it convenient for our many out of town guests who wanted to attend our wedding; they were able to attend everything right at the hotel and we did not have to worry about transporting them anywhere. We also had our rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding and Mary and her staff were excellent in making sure all our expectations were met. Mary made sure our ceremony went smoothly and made me feel sure that the next day would go smoothly. The food and open bar at the Radisson for both our rehearsal and reception was phenomenal--all of our guests were very pleased and did not stop raving about it. The staff was extremely accommodating all night long. When we initially booked our wedding our coordinator was Danielle, and Courtney took over a few months before our wedding but the transition was seamless! Both Danielle and Courtney were very prompt in answering my questions, and Courtney was great in finalizing all the details at the end to make it come together the way we envisioned. I was able to remain calm and relaxed the day of the wedding because of Courtney, Mary and the other great personnel. Courtney helped my husband decorate the main ballroom the day of the wedding and it could have not turned out any better. I would recommend the Radisson to anyone as they really went above and beyond for my wedding day to make sure it was perfect.

Danielle and Suzanne, the coordinators, were amazing. They answered my every question. As it got closer to the wedding, they worked around my schedule to plan our meetings. The day of the wedding went perfectly. The venue looked amazing. The food was incredible. They waited on my groom and I along with our immediate families the entire night. If there was ever anything we needed, they provided it for us. Mary, the banquet manager, was the best! She was my favorite person to work with. She has been there for years and truly knows how to make each bride feel special and incredible. When my groom and I returned to our room that evening, there were two pieces of cake, flowers, and food in our room, along with champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. The attention to detail was the best part of the wedding. We also chose to host a private brunch the next morning for family and close friends. They used the centerpieces from the night before so the brunch room looked amazing. One of the bartenders from the evening before came around and visited the tables. Again, Mary was there to help us with anything. They had boxed up our glasses, knife set, etc. and had them ready to go the next morning. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Radisson to anyone planning a wedding. In addition to being a gorgeous venue (especially during cocktail hour), the level of personal service was second to none. When my husband and I started to plan our wedding, there was one concept we agreed upon immediately - no ballrooms..then we walked into the Radisson. The lobby area absolutely blew us away, we were immediately in love. Our cocktail hour was held in the beautiful marbled lobby and then the reception was in the main ballroom. We appreciated the reception area being in a completely different area, it creates an element of excitement for the guests as they move down the hallway to see a new part of the hotel. \rTwo elements that were most important to us were 1. great food and 2. great drinks. We were not disappointed! We chose the plated sit down dinner for our reception. The food was delicious! Let's be honest, we've all been to plenty of banquet events/weddings and heard the token comment of \"dinner is good, it's wedding food\". The expectations aren't very high. This is not the case at the Radisson! Dinner was both plated and tasted as it would at a high end restaurant. The open bar was certainly up to par as well! All excellent brand liquors, the Radisson does not cut corners on quality. \rLast, but certainly not least was the service. We honestly could not express enough compliments and thanks to the personnel that had a hand in our wedding especially Danielle, Lois, and Mary. Our night was truly perfect because of them. Our first interaction was with Danielle, again we could never thank her enough for the time and effort she gave to us. We currently live out of state and she effortlessly guided us through each piece of planning and was there the day of to ensure each detail properly fell into place. If there is anyone you can trust, it's Danielle. She is phenomenal at her job, and the quality that set her apart from any other venue planner we interacted with was that she just flat out cares. It isn't a business deal, or just another event she has to work on. I guarantee she will ensure you feel as you are the only wedding she is coordinating. Last September my wife and I celebrated our wedding with friends and family at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. After living in and working in NYC, we were really drawn to the beautiful architecture and historic charm of the station. We had been looking for something a little different than the wedding factories in NJ where we now live and expected our family would really enjoy it being that they are spread across NY, NJ, CT, and PA. My mother in law had been to some other wedding receptions here and raved about the food. We were impressed as well at our tasting. \r\rI learned there are a lot things to worry about and stress out about for a wedding. Looking back at it now, we really didn't have anything to worry about with the reception hall. Danielle planned everything with us and really assisted us on every special request all the way from mixing special Tiffany blue colored champagne and arranging some special last minute accommodations for my mother who ended up in a wheel chair right before wedding. Many of our family and friends told us after the wedding it was one of the best they had ever been to.

Last September my wife and I celebrated our wedding with friends and family at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel. After living in and working in NYC, we were really drawn to the beautiful architecture and historic charm of the station. We had been looking for something a little different than the wedding factories in NJ where we now live and expected our family would really enjoy it being that they are spread across NY, NJ, CT, and PA. My mother in law had been to some other wedding receptions here and raved about the food. We were impressed as well at our tasting. \r\rI learned there are a lot things to worry about and stress out about for a wedding. Looking back at it now, we really didn't have anything to worry about with the reception hall. Danielle planned everything with us and really assisted us on every special request all the way from mixing special Tiffany blue colored champagne and arranging some special last minute accommodations for my mother who ended up in a wheel chair right before wedding. Many of our family and friends told us after the wedding it was one of the best they had ever been to.

We hosted our same-sex wedding at the Raddison Lackawanna Train Station Hotel in November 2015.\r\rThe service and the staff experience was outstanding and truly beyond words. From the initial planning, to the forethought given to our desires, to the special touches along the way, all we can say is that we were treated like royalty every step of the journey. \r\rWe are fortunate to have a loving family to support our wedding, and to add to he specialness of our marriage, the hotel and banquet staff treated us with care, kindness and genuine love.\r\rNot only do we highly recommend this hotel, but we will visit every time we are in the area.\r\rIn addition to a big thank you to the entire staff, we would like to give a special thank you to:\r\rMary: We were told that you were \"the best\". Now we know why. We didn't feel like guests, you treated us like your daughters. We are forever grateful to you.\r\rDanielle: You made our wedding easy, even though we did the planning long distance from Dallas and without a wedding planner. You took the time to think through our needs in advance. \r\rLee: Thanks for taking special interest with our family and providing comedy relief. We are so grateful.\r\rThank you Lackawanna Train Station Hotel Team for making our special weekend extraordinary! We are forever grateful.

It's been almost two months and everyone is still talking about how beautiful our wedding was! My husband and I visited the Radisson and immediately fell in love with the venue. Danielle and Suzanne were extremely helpful during the planning process and would promptly respond when we had questions. The service on our wedding day was outstanding as the staff made everything perfect and stress free. I would highly recommend the Radisson to anyone for their special day!
