Ragged Mountain Events is a wedding venue located on a working cattle ranch in Somerset, CO. Situated at the base of Ragged Mountain, above the Paonia Reservoir, this rustic barn venue boasts breathtaking views that will wow your guests. Ragged Mountain Events features a traditional barn with a wooden interior and warm string lights. With its open-plan layout, this spacious barn is perfect for eating, drinking, dancing, and mingling. After getting ready in the dressing room, you can hold your ceremony outdoors, surrounded by stunning vistas of the snow-capped mountains and sweeping green fields. Simple wooden benches for your guests add to the rustic feel. Up to 150 of your family and friends will be able to join you for your celebration. Ragged Mountain Events can cover almost all of your wedding needs, including tables, chairs, ivory linens, table runners, decorations, dinnerware, and a dance floor. For your caterer, they can provide a food prep area and ice. To make your day extra-special, they even offer a horse-drawn carriage to bring you to your ceremony so you can feel like you're in a fairytale. Guests are welcome to camp overnight, and comfortable lodging is also available at the barn. This lodging is fully-equipped with a kitchen, living area, bedrooms, and bathroom. Ample overnight accommodation is also available close by in Marble and Paonia. The venue is fully wheelchair-accessible to allow a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, and is equipped with wireless internet. My fiancé and I were looking for a venue in Colorado that was affordable and stunning. After looking through multiple venues in the roaring fork area we finally connected Rhonda and were able to visit Ragged Mountain Events’s property nestled above the north fork of the Gunnison. It was absolutely beautiful. We were blown away by the big barn to host all our people and the perfect ceremony spot looking over some of the better mountain views we’ve seen! We knew it was the spot! The amenities they provided was everything we needed to host our big day. We are still dreaming of the whole experience at from beginning to end. Couldn’t have dreamed a better spot or company to help us make our vision come true! Thank you Rhonda!!!!

My husband and I had the most beautiful mountain wedding with Ragged Mountain Events. The venue itself is breathtaking. Our ceremony was held in a field overlooking the Elk Mountains, and it made for stunning wedding photos. The venue even offers a horse drawn carriage ride to bring the bride into the ceremony. There are also several other scenic areas around the property including the Ragged Mountains, mountain creeks, and old homestead cabins; and the property owners were kind enough to let us travel around the property to take pictures. The barn is spacious and easily accommodated our roughly 100 guests plus extra tables for our gifts and food, a dance floor, and a photo booth. Perhaps the best part of the wedding venue was the amazing service we received. The owners are the kindest people, and they really went above and beyond to help make our day extra special. They were super flexible and willing to adjust plans to meet our requests. They also stepped in on the day of to help us set up, serve food, and take down at the end of the night. Our wedding truly was magical, and I am so grateful to Ragged Mountain Events for making it possible. We still receive compliments on our wedding years later. I highly recommend Ragged Mountain Events to anyone looking for an affordable, gorgeous, rustic wedding in the Colorado mountains. They are the best!
