Wedding Date 28-10-2023
Ragged was perfect for us as we wanted a rustic wedding with a Mountain View. We got married at the end of October the weather was amazing but I do know they do not have AC for summer weddings. Jessica and Jessica were both amazing to work with and beyond helpful. Our guests are still raving about the food and staff not sure you can ask for more of them! Highly recommend!

This was the perfect venue for us! The venue has so much to offer for an affordable price. We loved being able to have our friends and family stay overnight at the venue and enjoy the space for an entire weekend. The food was to die for! Guests are still messaging us talking about it. The only thing to couples may want to consider if they are choosing to get married in the summer months is that there is no AC, but it is great for fall weather. Overall, the coordinator and her assistant went above and beyond to make our day special.

We were married at Ragged on 10/29/22 and it was the most perfect day we could hope for! We had some difficulty with wedding coordinators changing after we booked, but Brenda was an absolute saint in answering all our questions and walking us through all the logistics until our day. Jessica (new coordinator) was absolutely amazing and helpful during our rehearsal and wedding day. We couldn’t have asked for a better team! The whole day ran smoothly and was just so fun! The ceremony site at the meadows is unmatched to anything I’ve seen before. Every guest commented on how beautiful it was. The food was amazing and the fact that you get this entire lodge to yourself for your guests to spread out and not feel cramped is a game changer! We couldn’t have asked for a better day and I’m so thankful we found ragged for our dream wedding.

We were married at Ragged on 10/29/22 and it was the most perfect day we could hope for! We got married October 23rd, 2021 at Ragged Mountain! Our wedding day was perfect. The weather was great for October and the foliage was stunning for our ceremony! Such a beautiful venue. Rachel, the wedding coordinator made the entire process run smoothly and was always there to answer any questions and ease my mind when I was stressed during planning! We did not get to eat anything for our cocktail hour- guests said it was good except our sliders were very undercooked and raw. I did get to eat some of my dinner which was absolutely amazing for our pork tenderloin but servers cleared tables too fast and we did not get to finish our meals. Huge tip is that it is extremely worth it to rent the condos for you and your wedding parties, that way everything is on the property and you can make sure to eat and snack throughout the day. Thank you Rachel for everything!

This place was terrific! The event planner Rachel's easy going yet eagle eye demeanor made the pre-event and day of the wedding go smoothly. With 70 yards of chiffon and an excellent florist. (Riverstone Florals) the Barn was transformed into the dream wedding we had visualized! The food was delicious! Service was great. The ski on ski off cabins were the perfect place to sequester the wedding party all weekend while the families stayed at their Mountain View Inn down the road. I ould highly recommend this venue!

We got married at Ragged last month in October. It was literally PERFECT. Our wedding weekend was everything we imagined and more. The wedding day went off seamlessly. We had postponed our wedding a full year due to the Pandemic and Rachel was so helpful. She answered all our questions and was so understanding. We also live in Colorado and so she really accommodated our needs- to book the venue she facetimed me in with my parents on site for us! She understood what we wanted out of our day and helped us make it happen. She didn't try and sway us but listened to what we wanted out of our day and it really meant so much to me. Every detail was taken care of, yet I was able to use my DIY skills to really personalize everything. We got married outside at the Meadows and it was stunning in the Fall. The food was a HIT- so so many guests told us how much they enjoyed the food. I have also had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they have ever been to- everything was beautiful and special, we danced the night away and everyone had a great time. We had the fire pit going and guests who were more comfortable outside also had that option which ended up being really nice. The late night food- DO IT. We got RAVE reviews on the late night food- it makes me laugh how much people loved it. Rachel even remembered my husbands concern he wouldn't get cocktail hour apps and brought over a full plate- I had forgotten all about it while we were taking photos but Rachel always had us covered. I cannot thank her and Ragged enough for everything. Our ceremony was beautiful and special, all the logistics went seamlessly, we had delicious food, great ambiance and we had the best time dancing the night away. The barn is really perfect and the vibe was relaxed. I learned to ski at Ragged as a child and to come back and get married here was beyond special. Best Day.

The reception was warm with the fire place going, and the food was incredible!!! The cabins for the wedding party and the inn on the property took care of the wedding party and our families beyond our expectations. Rachel and the staff at Ragged Mountain Resort made our special day absolutely perfect. The venue is such a reasonable cost. The food was delicious, the communication was spot on and the overall atmosphere of the venue was jaw dropping. We had so much fun staying in the cabins on the mountain with our bridal party. It made the day so much easier with being on site. Everything with the rehearsal, the rehearsal dinner, the cabins, the venue, the reception, access for our DJ for the sound, the bartenders, the wait staff were all wonderful and we don’t have any complaints!

We got engaged during the pandemic and planned to get married in NH. We selected Ragged Mountain and we couldn't be any happier with our choice! The venue itself is beautiful. The lodge has a rustic barn-like feel. There are beautiful views all around. There is lodging for the wedding party, which was great as well as the NH Mountain Inn up the road for family and guests. Almost every one of my guests have told me the food was the best wedding meal they have had. Lastly, the wedding coordinator Rachel Patane, made everything so seamless! She is quick to respond and was there for the entire wedding weekend. She checked in on both the bridesmaids and groomsmen in the morning and was always nearby throughout the entire day. I really can't express how great our experience with Rachel and Ragged Mountain was. I would recommend this venue to everyone 😊

My husband and I got married at Ragged Mountain Resort in June of 2021. Not only was the venue absolutely stunning (we barely had to decorate because the landscape was already so gorgeous) and the food delicious (even our guests with dietary restrictions were saying how good it was), but Rachel was a dream to work with. She was so helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process, which for us was rather quick. I’ve heard so many horror stories of coordinators who ruined the wedding planning process and the day itself but Rachel and her staff were so friendly, helpful, and our wedding day was an absolute breeze because of it. I really can’t say enough good things about how great our experience was. Ragged was originally out of our price range (the $5,000 food minimum is a bit of a bummer), but Rachel helped us find a package that worked for our budget, and I’m so grateful we didn’t discount Ragged upon our first few emails. I could not have pictured our big day anywhere else!

Rachel, our coordinator, was absolutely spectacular, and was a calming influence throughout the whole process.The bartenders and waitstaff were punctual, helpful and fun. When my husband and I first started looking for a venue we knew we wanted a barn wedding, but we didn't know where. We looked at many, but Ragged Mountain stood out immediately. We had SO many cancellations and relatives have minor panic attacks because of Covid, and Rachel took the panic calls and chats like a champ and made all of our guests, and us comfortable. Our day was absolutely perfect. The food was insane, bar service was amazing and all around our wedding was exactly what we wanted. Thank you, RACHEL! Words cannot describe how thrilled we were with our wedding at Ragged Mountain. We could not be happier that we chose Ragged as our wedding venue! My husband and I had originally planned to have a small destination wedding, but my father had an unexpected medical emergency a few months before the wedding that left him unable to fly. We scrapped our original plans and reached out to Ragged to see if they had any availability for a summer wedding. They happened to have one Saturday left so we quickly put down a deposit and got to work essentially planning from scratch. COORDINATOR: Rachel was amazing and helped us plan the wedding of our dreams in just three months! She helped us feel so at ease from day one. We felt like we could always reach out with any questions we had.CEREMONY: We chose the meadow as our ceremony site and are so happy that we did! The views of the mountain were stunning and everyone loved the golf carts that the groomsmen used to assist guests to the ceremony site.COCKTAIL HOUR: We took advantage of the option to have lawn games which provided a fun activity for guests. We also did the brewery tasting with the Flying Goose and are so glad that we did! This was such a unique feature that our guests loved. RECEPTION: The lodge was the perfect reception space for our rustic wedding theme and the food was delicious. The firepit on the patio and the late night appetizers were also a huge hit! LODGING: We booked the cabins, the New Hampshire Mountain Inn, and the Red Barn Inn for our guests. There is a shuttle service can be utilized for guests at the cabins and the New Hampshire Mountain Inn. We stayed in the cabins with the rest of our wedding party and had a BLAST. This was the perfect way to start the celebration upon arrival on Friday and keep it going until check-out on Sunday. It was also a great place for the bridal party to get ready and made for some beautiful getting-ready photos. We are so thrilled with the whole experience and would absolutely recommend having a wedding here!

COORDINATOR: Rachel was amazing and helped us plan the wedding of our dreams in just three months! She helped us feel so at ease from day one. We felt like we could always reach out with any questions we had.CEREMONY: We chose the meadow as our ceremony site and are so happy that we did! The views of the mountain were stunning and everyone loved the golf carts that the groomsmen used to assist guests to the ceremony site.COCKTAIL HOUR: We took advantage of the option to have lawn games which provided a fun activity for guests. We also did the brewery tasting with the Flying Goose and are so glad that we did! This was such a unique feature that our guests loved. RECEPTION: The lodge was the perfect reception space for our rustic wedding theme and the food was delicious. The firepit on the patio and the late night appetizers were also a huge hit! LODGING: We booked the cabins, the New Hampshire Mountain Inn, and the Red Barn Inn for our guests. There is a shuttle service can be utilized for guests at the cabins and the New Hampshire Mountain Inn. We stayed in the cabins with the rest of our wedding party and had a BLAST. This was the perfect way to start the celebration upon arrival on Friday and keep it going until check-out on Sunday. It was also a great place for the bridal party to get ready and made for some beautiful getting-ready photos. We are so thrilled with the whole experience and would absolutely recommend having a wedding here!

My wife and I got married at Ragged Mountain on September 15, 2018. Finding a venue was very stressful and difficult, but I honestly cannot recommend Ragged Mountain and its staff enough. The fact that we had the whole resort to ourselves for the entire weekend made all the difference. We had our ceremony at the Meadows and our reception at the Lodge, and both were absolutely perfect. The grounds and the scenery are breathtaking (along with incredible hiking for our guests). The Inn where many people stayed for the weekend was beautiful, and the staff there were just delightful. We did a welcome reception and a goodbye brunch as part of our wedding weekend and they were all beyond accommodating to all of our last minute requests. Meghan Welte, the wedding coordinator, was so amazing. She was always very thorough, responsive (no matter how many questions we asked), and always on top of everything without being a \"helicopter\" planner. She was genuinely concerned about making sure everything went the exact way we wanted and provided very helpful suggestions when we were undecided. We could not have had planned the wedding weekend of our dreams without her! The rest of the staff was also incredible--especially the bartender, also named Meghan (sorry if I am misspelling), who was fantastic, as well as Patrick, the New Hampshire Ground Inn's Innkeeper. Do yourselves a favor--get married at Ragged Mountain! Thanks to everyone there for making it the very best weekend!!

Meghan is so helpful, friendly, and patient. She is always accessible by email, and she put me at ease throughout every stage of the planning process. Meghan went above and beyond to make sure every detail of my wedding went smoothly--you can tell she's very passionate about what she does!!Ceremony/Reception Spaces:We highly recommend the Meadows ceremony site. The backdrop of rolling mountains is absolutely stunning and looks gorgeous in photos. The red barn/main lodge is an incredible reception space. There are beautiful string lights decorating the wood beams, and there's plenty of space on the dance floor for a big party!! We also love the new lights added to the outdoor cocktail hour space and the awesome outdoor fire pit, which is great for s'mores. :)Food:The food at Ragged is absolutely delicious and defied our expectations for \"just a ski resort\" (try eating at their Birches restaurant during the regular ski season). We loved getting to customize our menu and pick a fun mix of everything from fried mac and cheese balls to chicken caprese to even pizza, as a late-night snack. We also highly recommend the Henry Whipple House (b&b) in Bristol, NH. My husband and I got married at Ragged Mountain in September 2017. Overall, we had a wonderful day and all of our guests complimented us on the food and how beautiful the venue was. We booked with Ragged about a year and a half prior to our wedding and loved the wedding planner. She left to pursue another career and another woman was promoted to be her replacement. We had some issues with communication and trying to set up a private tasting with the second planner. She left and a third planner was hired, who was awesome to work with. She is still the current planner and is very organized and comes with wedding planning experience. I wish we had been able to work with her all along as that would have made the planning process much smoother. Some things I think Ragged could improve on was the staffing for the wedding day and the ceremony seating. We had a made to order pasta station that was delicious but took a really long time to serve. I felt it could have gone a lot quicker had there been more staff cooking the pasta. Second is we had some issues with seating for our ceremony. There are wooden benches at the meadows ceremony site that seat 80 people. We had roughly 180 guests so we needed to rent an additional 100 chairs to seat everyone. The chair rental company would only deliver according to their delivery schedule so it was possible the chairs would sit outside for several days between drop off and pick up. These were nice wooden chairs and I was worried about rain as I would be liable if the chairs were damaged. Ragged was unwilling to store the chairs inside for us. I went back and forth with the chair rental company and Ragged several times trying to find a solution and I felt that was not something I should have to be worry about a week before my wedding. The other piece is Ragged didn't include set up or break down of the chairs so our parents had to do that before and after the ceremony. It ended up working out but my feelings were that 1) With Ragged being a venue holding weddings of up to 200 people, they should include seating for 200 people at the ceremony and 2) Set up and take down of chairs should be included in the venue fee.These were the two areas that we felt could have been better but overall we had a good experience. What really matters is the day of, and our wedding day was amazing. I also think very highly of the current wedding planner and I would recommend Ragged to a friend.

This review is a little hard to write because the middle part of our wedding planning process with Ragged was not very smooth (unresponsive coordinator, promise to have a tasting that never happened, miscommunication.) In fact, we were kind of panicking at one point, especially when that coordinator left. However, their new coordinator, Meghan Welte stepped right in and we really couldn't have been happier. She put me at ease, was so super responsive, and available to meet when I needed. She would answer questions and help me make tiny tweeks in the contract/menu to help serve our budget and needs. She was very creative with our appetizers and ended up helping us get something unique but all of my husband's favorite foods without even realizing it! I literally had not one worry on my wedding day- she covered it all and I never felt like something was out of place or not getting done when it needed to. It is so nice to be worry free.As for the service and space that Ragged offers, I am beyond thrilled. The prices were super reasonable and the food was amazing. It was so nice to have a \"barn\"like feel but not the price tag (and not have to worry about bringing all of your own tables, chairs, linens, servers etc in.) The ceremony spot on the Meadows was absolutely beautiful, and I have to say that I have never been to a more beautiful location (maybe I'm biased!) With the way everything is set up now, I would definitely recommend Ragged to get married. The only reason I didn't give it all 5's was because of my negative beginning experience, but with the team they have now- you need to check it out!

I highly recommend Ragged Mountain! We booked a few years ago before they started renovations and we could not be happier with the way everything turned out. We started planning with Emma who was awesome but she accepted a new job and we got a new coordinator, Samantha, just a few weeks before the wedding. Samantha is absolutely amazing! She stepped right up and made our day perfect. The ceremony site is gorgeous, the lodge was beautiful all decorated, and the food was delicious. Our daughter was married on June 18th at the meadows. It was more beautiful then I could have ever imagined. The ceremony site was beautiful and Emma was so well organized. The reception at the barn was just as beautiful. We had 140 guests and the barn was very spacious for dinner and dancing. The food was fresh and delicious and dinner was served timely. It was a pleasure dealing with Emma and chef Justin; they went over and above to make our daughter's day special. I just cannot say enough! There is not one thing I can come up with that could have/should have been different. We also rented the Inn for the bridal party and family; it was a perfect place to gather and while the girls were all getting prepared before the wedding, the guys hung out on the grounds and played yard games. The inn keeper, Patrick was so accommodating to our wishes/needs. The breakfast he prepared was delicious and the rooms were very comfortable and clean. We could not be any happier with how our wedding turned out at Ragged Mountain! We had our ceremony outside at The Meadows, and the scenery was gorgeous! Our reception was inside the RedBarn, and the staff did an AMAZING job from setting up the day before, to making our guests feel so welcomed and comfortable. The food was awesome (thanks Justin!!) and the bar staff were so fun! We got so many compliments from our friends and family about how beautiful the venue was!Emma, the wedding coordinator, was AMAZING. She remembered every little request I had and made the the whole process and day so smoothly. She is the main reason the wedding was incredible! The price is very reasonable, and the lodging for the guests at the cardigan cabins and inn are great options for the bridal party and guests. I would definitely recommend this venue and service!

We could not be any happier with how our wedding turned out at Ragged Mountain! We had our ceremony outside at The Meadows, and the scenery was gorgeous! Our reception was inside the RedBarn, and the staff did an AMAZING job from setting up the day before, to making our guests feel so welcomed and comfortable. The food was awesome (thanks Justin!!) and the bar staff were so fun! We got so many compliments from our friends and family about how beautiful the venue was!Emma, the wedding coordinator, was AMAZING. She remembered every little request I had and made the the whole process and day so smoothly. She is the main reason the wedding was incredible! THANK YOU RAGGED MOUNTAIN!! We have heard nothing but great things from all of our guests! Our weekend could literally have not gone any better! You guys were incredibly friendly, over the top with kindness, resourceful, and fun! I would recommend you guys to anyone, you guys were the best from set up to break down, Emma was awesome and Justin's food was incredible!

Ragged Mountain is beautiful! They have a seperate place for the ceremony where you get nothing but views of mountains! I would recommend anyone to go here if they really love the more woodsy area with mountain views and a more rustic inside for the reception! :)
