Nestled in the mountains of Big Sky, Montana, we combine Montana's rustic beauty with the services expected of a world-class wedding venue. The Rainbow Ranch Lodge & Restaurant features 21 rooms, a fine dining bar & restaurant, multiple ceremony, rehearsal dinner, & reception site options, majestic mountain and river views, and a Day of Event Coordinator. Our riverside barn & event tent reception space can accommodate up to 200 people, with options for larger groups. We're a short drive from Big Sky Ski Resort and Yellowstone National Park. Activities in the area include: white water rafting, hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, skiing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, and Yellowstone excursions. AMAZING!!!!! I am so blessed to have had an amazing day. Rainbow Ranch lodge was perfect. Everything was so easy and the staff went out of their way to make my day special. The bridal cabin is perfect! We had dinner at Wild Caddis in the wine cellar and it was wonderful. Spencer, Brittany, and Thomas made planning my wedding day so easy! I will never forget the spectacular views around the lodge. Get MARRIED there!!!!!!

AMAZING!!!!! I am so blessed to have had an amazing day. Rainbow Ranch lodge was perfect. Everything was so easy and the staff went out of their way to make my day special. Lovely location. Few snafus with housekeeping and building leaks, but individual staffers like Jefferey in the kitchen, Thomas and Clara up front and Jarrod with the banquet team really stood out as committed, competent and friendly team players who made a difference. Fair warning that staff turn over quite frequently which can make communication tough- in 18 months there were more than 4 “event planners” and that made for a lot of stress as a bride who was 2700 miles away. They don’t keep or pass over records well- I had to re-sign my contract 4 times over as no one could find “the one before”. I would thus absolutely recommend you have an outside wedding planner if you book here and they will need to be persistent in getting ranch event staff to respond. Overall though- for a small to medium event with rustic charm and Montana elegance as key components, RR Lodge is definitely a place to consider.

The venue itself is stunningly in nature, on the river and all natural - nothing can take away it's beauty (except Mother Nature). In regards to staff and much staff turnover it was a bit nightmare-sh from the beginning. I had to work with five different group coordinators, the bridal suite was gross and not cleaned when we arrived, many issues with other guest rooms (poop in a toilet, Cheetos type food on the side of a bed, etc.). It was quite disappointing and not what a bride wants to see or deal with a few days before her wedding. Tom the General Manager asked me \"Do you want to argue about it?\". Well working in the resort industry myself I certainly can see where some of the issues stem from. All the plates at dinner during the wedding were stacked for a good 15-20 minutes on all the tables and when a few of our guests went into the kitchen to check on the delay they found all the staff eating dinner together around a table. (Staff should absolutely have dinner, however not during the wedding dinner itself!! Seems like common sense, certainly a lack of training at the very least.) I could go on and on. I actually feel bad for the staff that is currently there because they also will just end up leaving and the turnover and horrible communication throughout the resort will continue. We love our wedding, our wedding day and the time we had with our family and friends, Rainbow Ranch's issues were the only huge downfall of the day. If you are a planner, organized and have help I would say book RR, if you need staff to do everything you will be taking your chances. Thank you to all my amazing family and friends!!!! <3

Rainbow Ranch was a truly magical place to host our wedding weekend. Their event staff was attentive throughout our entire planning process, and their hospitality and warmth could not have been matched. They also helped accommodate our changing guest list and unpredictable weather leading up to the wedding itself :) Our families and bridal party stayed on the ranch throughout the entire wedding weekend which made our ceremony and reception even more special! And last but not least, the food all weekend was outstanding!

We were so thrilled when we found their location and loved even more that most of our guests could stay on site. The ceremony site is stunning, right next to the river and we loved the rustic look of the barn and the new tent they have is awesome! The food was delicious and our dessert bar and cake were tasty. I'm pretty sure every last tart was eaten! Thank you to everyone at Rainbow Ranch for making our day so special! We will be back to visit soon :).

Rainbow Ranch is hands down the best venue in Big Sky area. The venue is right on the Gallatin, and we were able to hear the river as we said our vows. The barn/tent is intimate and beautiful. The flow of the venue is absolutely perfect - we were able to move a few feet from the cermony to a gorgeous outdoor bar for cocktail, to the barn/tent for a lovely open air dinner and incredibly fun dance! The energy all night was just wonderful because the space kept our 150 guests comfortably close together. I cannot speak enough praises for Carrie Bishop. She is an amazing wedding planner and event coordinator. We planned our wedding long distance, and she made the entire process very easy. Rainbow Ranch only works with the best vendors in town, and Carrie's expertise in wedding planning is truly top notch. The rooms at Rainbow Ranch are definitely worth the price. They service is impeccable, the food is amazing, and the hot tub and fire places make your guests stay romantic and relaxing. In addition, Rainbow Ranch is close enough to Big Sky resort and Yellowstone so guests can enjoy all the Big Sky has to offer.

Where do I start to review Rainbow Ranch? Our daughter was married at Rainbow Ranch in December, 2013. Mollie and her staff far exceeded our expectations! Mollie, the resort manager is a trained wedding planner and uses her skills to make sure that every little detail is covered. From local vendor recommendations, to sending picture updates (we wanted snow), to ensuring that her staff and facilities were well prepared for the event, Mollie is a pro. I can say without hesitation that Mollie is fully capable of planning and coordinating a wedding at Rainbow Ranch. The staff is so warm and welcoming and truly care about the success of the event. From Liz, the pastry chef who prepares the most amazing breakfast pastries (those croissants!) and creates the most beautiful, delicious dessert tables - gluten free on request, to Tyler, the bartender, waiter, do-it-all guy who greets the guests with a smile, to Joce who ensures your guest room needs are all met, I could go on with each staff member - the Rainbow Ranch staff becomes part of your family! The rooms are clean and comfortable with lovely amenities - the firewood was well stocked in the rooms with fireplaces. The food - amazing! Our guests could not stop raving about the quality of the food! This is not your typical event food - it is fine dining! The daily breakfast was always wonderful too. The location on the Gallatin River is beautiful and feels very private, even though it is conveniently located just off the main road. The main building is filled with local artwork and history - a true mountain western gem! I believe that in the end, what you will always remember is how a place made you feel - Rainbow Ranch and the staff there made us feel special and I look forward to returning often!

Wow, I knew the Rainbow Ranch was great, but every expectation I had, the groom had, and my mom had was met and exceeded! The setting, the rooms, the food, and the service were outstanding! The real star there is Mollie, the manager, who is amazing! She acts as a wedding coordinator, and we could not have had such a perfect wedding without her and her staff at the RR.

Rainbow Ranch is beyond perfect. Right next to the Gallatin River with mountains surrounding the venue, we couldn't have imagined a more beautiful spot for our wedding. The staff at Rainbow Ranch is helpful, kind, caring, and inspires many return visits... we really can't wait to come back for our anniversary or even before that at any just any chance we get!\rThe food is not only incredibly delicious, but beautiful. The cocktails, wine, and beer are great and they have many local brews to try. \rMollie is the event manager and made the whole weekend run smoothly. She is truly amazing and gives great advice on everything from hair and makeup people to organizing your day-of schedule. \rEven if you choose a different place for you wedding day, you should visit the Rainbow Ranch at some time in your life! Two families met and came together at the Rainbow Ranch. Little did we know we would be adding a third family...the Rainbow Ranch staff! We were addressed by name and made to feel like we were celebrating in our own home. All staff members were thoughtful and even some moved to tears by the wedding out back riverside. Which is no small compliment for a crew that witnesses weddings nearly every weekend during the summer months. A staff so committed that on our last night they ordered up a literal rainbow above the ranch for our enjoyment. Well, perhaps not but they called us in our room to let us know about the stunning view out back. This piece of paradise helps you forget about your daily troubles and allows you to reconnect with nature. We highly recommend sleeping with your windows open to listen to the sounds of the rushing river. The food is first class and for some culinary snobs it's no small feat. The rooms are rustic luxury with heavenly beds, linens, and towels. For seasoned travelers 'this is not your usual' complimentary breakfast, with fresh fruit & pastries, along with homemade granola. The coffee & tea service is even available most of the day, not too mention the homemade cookies delivered to your room on a nightly basis.\rWe are so pleased, that our next trip back is right around the corner.

When you book with the Rainbow Ranch they say that you get a wedding cooridator, Mollie, to work with which sounds awmasing and explains some of the cost. Please do not be fooled by this. Mollie is hard to get a hold over and often forgets to get back to you on things like she promises too. They also missed up 2 of the room reservations; including mine! Which meant that we were booted from the Honeymoon suite becuase she had doublebooked it!!! They also tried to charge us extra for things that we had already negotiated the price of and I had in writting from her (of course I didn't think to print off ALL of the emails I had received from her and bring them with me!). That said, the location is truly spectacular abd the food was to die for. Overall, it was the perfect place for the perfect wedding and I would recommended it to others. Just be sure to keep track of all aggreements and bring them with you!

Kelli Kunz (Director of Sales) My name is Kelli! It doesn't seem long ago my family and I moved to Big Sky, Montana \"just for a winter season.\" 7 years later it's fun to look back at the journey. My husband & I both worked our first Montana jobs here at the Rainbow Ranch Lodge, (and celebrated our wedding here too!). I knew immediately this space was something special. I've worked in marketing, sales, events, weddings & planning for 7+ years. There isn't much I love more than showing off our beautiful space, watching people fall in love with it like I have, & giving people memories that will keep them coming back forever.
