Ravel Events at The Ravel Hotel Reviews
Alexa A(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2020 We had the most wonderful time with the Ravel Hotel! The stunning views, EXCELLENT food and the most wonderful staff really made our wedding special! Despite all the changes we had to go through because of the pandemic, the Ravel really pulled everything off seamlessly.Betsy our coordinator and our main point of contact was amazing, she helped us work through all our requests, adjustments. She is extremely patient, approachable and flexible. She walked us through our venue multiple times, kept us updated on all the changes and was truly a key player in bringing our big day to life.On the day of we pretty much left everything to the Ravel staff (everyone was so kind, and all made sure that we ate as a couple!) and the day was seamless! We also had a day of coordinator, Melissa, and she was awesome and really tended to our needs.Overall the service and staff was excellent and we look forward to working with them in the future! My partner and I were absolutely amazed with our wedding. We spent the honeymoon discussing all the things we thought went right or what we would do differently, and the venue and Ravel team was 100% in the what went right column.Eman was our great wedding coordinator and was there through the whole process as well as on-site the day of the wedding. The team: Eman, Tracy, Jadelyn, Betsy, and the whole team were great to work with, flexible up until the day of and very helpful on calls with our vendors, many of whom had not worked at the venue before. Once the day was in motion everything was seamless - the team was continuously calm, professional, and helpful.Venue: We visited 9 venues before choosing this one. The site was beautiful on a summer evening with a sweeping view of the Manhattan night. Three distinct spaces (for us the rooftop, observation deck, and penthouse) for ceremony, cocktail, and reception allowed the guests to flow through and experience the wedding. The team of course is very experienced with the space and had plans for city sound, wind, summer heat, and inclement weather backups.Organization: Ravel has the timing of their weddings down - they recommended us taking photos before the wedding itself, allowing us to spend almost all the time with our guests instead of being caught up with portraits. The team worked with us to accommodate our flow of the ceremony and reception. The food: the food the night of was even better than the tasting, and we heard many good things from our guests, including “best wedding food I’ve had” and “better than [famous NY steakhouse which will not be named]”. The team worked with us to select personalized cocktails which fit our styles and were flexible in meeting the drink requests of our guests.Notes: Some things to consider when picking this venue:The florals don’t have to be 8ft high and covering the space. We went with a simpler look which we thought worked best for us. Reviewed on 27-11-2023

The space: Ravel is a phenomenal wedding venue. The space is beautiful, multifunctional, and has a gorgeous view of Manhattan. The passed bites at cocktail hour, dinner, and bar were all delicious and our guests were very happy. Ravel is also a hotel, not just an event space, so it was easy to work with management and ensure our guests had a comfortable stay. The planning: Through the supportive staff and on-site coordinator, Chelsey, the wedding planning process was much easier than expected. She provided a wedding timeline and recommendations based off my inspo pics. Chelsey also introduced us to many vendors (that's how we found our florist and DJ) and coordinated with all vendors. The day of: Our wedding day could not have been smoother. We had plenty of space in our suites to get ready and take photos. The many spaces throughout the venue provided beautiful backdrops for photos. I had a dedicated bridal attendant, who was so sweet and helpful (my bridal party just got to relax!). They provided us privacy when needed, made sure we ate throughout the event, and had our personal items (signs, guest book, etc.) + champagne and cupcakes waiting in our room for after the wedding.TLDR: Ravel is a beautiful venue and took very good care of us. Before getting married at the Ravel, my husband planned the most perfect engagement on the roof of the venue with the help of Eman. We loved the venue and working with Eman so much that we decided to book our wedding there as well in September of 2023. Words cannot even begin to explain how happy we are with this decision. Because of Eman, Jadelyn and the amazing team at the Ravel, our wedding was truly the best day of our lives. The team executed perfectly on turning our vision into a reality and we were absolutely blown away by how smoothly everything ran on the day of. We had always planned to get married on the roof because of the spectacular views that it offers, but due to some rain in the forecast, we ultimately decided to get married in the foyer. While this was not part of our initial plan, the foyer helped promote an intimate setting that created a beautiful ceremony. Following the ceremony, our guests were seamlessly transported up to the penthouse for the cocktail hour where they were greeted with stunning views of the Queensboro bridge and Manhattan landscape. It was truly a dream come true. To this day, our guests cannot stop raving about how GREAT the food was – especially the sushi bar! Multiple stations offered a wide variety of options and the staff worked extremely efficiently to minimize wait times. Following the cocktail hour, guests were again seamlessly transported back down to the ballroom for the reception. The ballroom would not have looked the way it did without the help of Eman throughout the entire process. She provided us with trustworthy vendors to make sure that our vision came to life, and everything was executed perfectly. From the florals to the table layouts and the placement of the dance floor we were able to easily fit our 225 guests. We could not have planned this night without the help of Eman and the entire team at the Ravel. Jadelyn, our bridal attendant, went above and beyond to make sure everything was running on time and that all of our needs were met throughout the day and night. While this review is long, it doesn’t even begin to describe how grateful we are for the team at the Ravel. We cannot recommend the venue enough and we are hoping that one of our friends books their wedding here so that we can attend another one (as a guest this time!). Thanks again to Eman and the team!! I don't even know how to put into words how grateful I am that I chose Ravel Hotel for my wedding. We're talking a 300 guest wedding which is hard to find a space for as it is, and even harder to coordinate. I have been to many weddings as a guest or bridesmaid and I have never seen the attention to detail or the consideration that came along with the Ravel Events team. To start with Chelsey - she truly found her calling being in the event space. She somehow manages to make each bride feel like they are the only one she is working with, yet is actually handling a handful(dozens) of events at a time. She answers texts, calls to check in, handled our 10/10 tasting with many parents :), was involved with vendors- the list goes on. But all I can say is my friends hired coordinators/planners and somehow Ravel comes with one that's worth double. She is an angel and I couldn't have done anything without her. Jadelyn was the next angel that I met the day of and she became my right hand wing woman. Always one step ahead she'd hand me my veil when I needed, grabbed my sneakers when I needed a shoe change, tidied up the bridal suite to come back to, (our phones were literally waiting on the nightstand!!!) the list also goes on. Having a venue/hotel in one is already a major bonus for day of logistics and Julissa made it even easier- she was patient with me and my whole family from day one, answering emails promptly about anything hotel block related. Betsy, Tracy, the bar team, the CATERING. The food is gorgeous and tastes even better. Cliche to say \"the guests raved about the food even after\" but I'm not lying. WOW I could go on but reviews are important when finding the dream venue and believe me when I said I found mine in Ravel and you have not one thing to worry about if you choose them too. My husband, John, and I were married at the Ravel Hotel on April 29th and this review will never do justice how grateful and happy we were with our day. While the location, stunning views, and photos online could convince you - the staff we met at Ravel is what truly made our experience unlike any other. The Director of Events, Chelsey, understood our vision and made it a reality. She got to know us and made us feel like family - she was knowledgeable, assuring, and caring. She put together an A-list of vendors for us that truly made our day spectacular. When I asked for trees at our reception - she brought me TREES. When I requested that our reception be a raging party, she delivered. Thank you Chelsey and the entire Ravel Events team! Thank you for treating us like family, you will forever be ours! Nick and I were training residents at a hospital when we decided to get married, which means we had little to no time to plan it. Luckily, we found Eman at Ravel hotel. During the entire process, our planner Eman was confident that she would put together a beautiful wedding for us. Eman is extremely organized, professional, and kept us on track despite our busy schedule. We didn’t let wedding planning consume us because Eman did that for us. She and the entire Ravel team (Stephen, Julissa and Jadelyn) were so attentive and easy to work with. The day of the wedding, we were blown away. Our cocktail hour was on the rooftop and the reception at the penthouse. Although we thought the opening weekend of the summer club (pool party, music and bubbles) might interfere with our wedding, it actually added fun energy and excitement to our big day. When we had the first look of our reception hall, I was in tears and I couldn’t believe what I saw. It was so special and magical. Everything Nick and I dreamt of. The rest of the night with the service and the food/drinks were just cherries being added on and on as the night went along. Overall, wedding venue/views were unique and breathtaking. The food was not at all the usual salmon/chicken type of wedding food. We had exceptional options to choose from. The cocktail hour food and our wedding dinner was also a highlight of our wedding. Our families are still talking about this wedding saying that this is the best wedding they’ve been to. Thank you Eman and the Ravel team for making our day as special as it was. We had the most amazing wedding experience at Ravel. The venue is beautiful. We had our ceremony in the ballroom, cocktail hour in the Foyer, and reception in the Penthouse. The view from the Penthouse with the sunroof open, sun setting, and candles glowing was magical. We could not imagine a better place to have the true NYC wedding we had hoped for. The food and drinks were impressive and the staff was phenomenal. Eman is fantastic. She guided us through the complicated process of planning a wedding, worked with us for months to define a vision, helped us find great vendors and secure a rehearsal dinner spot, developed a detailed schedule…she helped so much with absolutely every detail. Jadelyn, our bridal assistant, was beyond attentive. Julissa, Betsy, and Stephen did an incredible job making the entire event come together. We’re also so thankful to the bartenders, servers, and other staff for making the entire day so special and seamless for ourselves, our family, and our friends. We truly could not have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives. There isn’t enough stars in this review that could express how happy we are that we picked Ravel. Choosing Ravel as our wedding venue was the best decision we could have ever made. Starting from the venue itself, location, food, entire staff (Eman, Jadelyn, Steven, Betsy) and just overall coordination. It was pure perfection. We could not be happier with the outcome. Our wedding was more than what we could have ever imagined and it’s all thanks to the incredible team at Ravel. All of our guests were raving about the venue and said it was the nicest venue they have ever seen. They were also blown away by the food and just overall flow of the event. The ceremony, reception and cocktail hour was absolutely incredible and we wouldn’t change a thing. We also wanted to specifically shout out Eman because without her our wedding would not have turned out as perfect as it was. We met Eman during our venue search and she helped us throughout the decision making process and once we signed on she was part of every important decision - whether it was picking a vendor or how we should structure our florals and decor or just overall flow of the event. She also went above and beyond and we really felt like she was as invested in our wedding as we were. She had so many ideas that we could have never thought of which added so much to our day. She executed everything perfectly and we couldn’t be more grateful that we crossed paths with her during such an important part of our lives! Alexandra Oshinsky(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-05-2023 While gathering my thoughts in preparation to write this review, I thought to myself how will I possibly include everything I want to say and will my words be enough to express my true feelings. From the beginning, my now husband, and I knew that we were destined to have our wedding at The Ravel. We looked at one other venue and that night we chucked the pamphlet straight into the garbage. We knew we didn’t need to look anywhere else and our decision was solidified this past weekend when we had the wedding of our dreams. From the views, to the staff, to the vendors, and everything in between I would have not changed a single thing. Chelsey our event planner, who now feels like a close friend, quite literally went above and beyond. There is nothing she is not capable of doing and I feel honored that I was given the privilege of working with her throughout the wedding planning process as well as on the big day. Jadelyn was my bridal assistant and she truly was more than what her title states. She was there for me every step of the way and I was never in need of anything while having her by my side. Stephen the events operating manager was someone we met at our tasting back in February and from our first encounter we knew we were in good hands. The way he manages his staff and makes a wedding of 160 people seem like a breeze is something that should not go unnoticed. Julissa and all of the staff on the hotel side dealt with every question, change, and concern with ease and made our stay and wedding weekend a seamless process. While it might sound cliche I could continue to express my gratitude, appreciation, and overall love for The Ravel and more importantly the staff that come with it. My husband and I feel as though we made relationships with the staff that will last a lifetime and we are truly saddened that our event is over. We hope someone has their wedding here soon so that we can come back and experience the greatness all over again. If you are looking for a wedding venue, look no further and you will thank us later! The Ravel Hotel was the absolute perfect venue for our daughter’s wedding on 5/13/2023. You will not find a better place to have an event, because nothing compares. We had the ceremony on the roof which gave a backdrop of the most breathtaking views of NYC. Next the cocktail hour took place in the Penthouse with the roof open, with more amazing views and food that was plentiful, delicious, and unique. Lastly, we had the reception in the Ballroom. The room was beautifully decorated, and we were served even more outstanding food and given impeccable service. From the minute you book the venue you are given an event manager to handle your affair from beginning to end. Lucky for us we had the opportunity to work with Chelsey. She is undeniable the best there is. She makes herself available to you 24 hours a day 7 days a week. She makes your vision come alive even when you don’t know what you want, which was the case for our daughter. She stepped in and helped with the flowers, menus, table numbers, and seating charts. She didn’t miss a detail. The entire team was exceptional. Jadelyn was my daughter’s bridal attendant. She never left her side. Stephen provided top notch service throughout the day with the food and service. We did not have to want for anything. They took care of it all without having to ask. We had a room block at the hotel which Julissa handled. We had numerous changes and additions which she handled with ease. She stayed on top of everything. Our guests could not say enough about the front desk being so friendly and accommodating and the rooms being beautiful. We had the Estate Suite for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in and have their hair and makeup done. It was perfect. There was plenty of room and it made for some great pictures. Our guests could not say enough about the food, service, and atmosphere. We continue to get calls raving about the wedding. People have said it is the best wedding they have been to. Having a wedding at the Ravel will surpass your expectations. It will be the perfect day. Our advice is don’t look anywhere else! Lauren L(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-04-2023 When people say, where do I even begin, my parents, my husband and myself truly mean this. We started working with Eman in April of 2022 and after our site visit and meeting Eman in person, we knew this was the space, the venue, and the team we wanted behind us on our special day. The Venue: The venue itself is absolutely stunning, it has this industrial chic feel to it and is a palette that any style will take to. The Penthouse is really the hook - the day we visited, it was a rare 70 degree day, the roof was open and we were overlooking the entire city skyline and the bridge. This space alone was when we knew this is where we’d have our wedding. The views from the Penthouse are incredible and your guests will love it - both day and night and highly recommend hosting your after party here. The pictures we have together as bride and groom from here are just breath taking. We also stayed onsite for our wedding weekend which I highly recommend. As the bride, I booked the Estate Suite - which if you’re getting ready for hair and make up, looking to host friends, this is the spot to be! The room is massive, includes a kitchen area, plenty of seating and a wrap around balcony for you to enjoy views of Queens and Manhattan. The Food & Service: I can promise you will absolutely find time to eat if you host your wedding at Ravel. The food is delicious and creative. When we went for our tasting, we truly didn’t want the meal to end. Our guests raved about every bite of food they had throughout the night! For the reception meals, we had a few vegans which was totally a non issue for the Ravel catering team and servers. The cocktail hour, dinner service and bartenders were also just fabulous and professional. We were only a wedding of roughly 115 but there was never a wait at the bar - very important! The Team: This is the MOST important piece I want to highlight, Eman and the Ravel Team. They truly went above and beyond. Eman from day one was extremely responsive, answered every single last question we had - always putting us at ease and making us feel even more confident in the decision to host our wedding at Ravel. Eman throughout the entire planning process introduced us to a handful of vendors and was how we found our photography and officiant! She continually offered to take things off my plate and was quick to partner with my other vendors as she wanted to ensure it was smooth sailing leading up to the big day. It was truly a pleasure working with Eman, she went above and beyond, we are so grateful and appreciative of her! The entire team, Chelsea, Stephen, Julissa, Betsy, and Miranda - provided top notch service. They ensure you truly have the best day from start to finish. You can feel the passion from this team and their internal communication is seamless. Put your trust in this group because they will make your dream day come to life! Thank you again!! From getting ready as a group at the hotel, to pictures, to the ceremony and beyond - Chelsey, our bridal attendants and Ravel really thought of everything. Our guests have consistently said it was one of the best (if not the best) weddings they have ever attended. The views are unparalleled - a total photo op for the bridal party and guests alike. Cocktail hour was a hit (pork chops, raw bar, tomahawk steaks, tacos, you name it) and the ballroom comfortably fit our group of 260 or so. We also hosted a day-after brunch on site. There are clear benefits to having the hotel and venue all in one. Ravel also connected us with awesome vendors for photography, video, cake, entertainment, etc.You cannot go wrong. Great views, great food, accessible and accommodating. Reviewed on 31-10-2022

The room and decorations at the rooftop for the ceremony created by Pejy were breathtaking and spectacular! The beautiful view of the New York City skyline was a magnificent backdrop as the couple recited their heartfelt vows. All of our guests raved about the food! Irene C(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-08-2019 Ravel Hotel is an amazing venue! My (now) husband and I are both from California originally. We’ve had so many weddings the last few years and wanted to do something different/ ”very NY.” I visited SO many venues, literally 20+ and they were either not what we were looking for or way out of our budget. To be honest, when we first visited Ravel we were not in love with it. We had toured Penthouse 808 on a rainy winter day. It was dark, the windows were all down, we saw no view. However, we decided to give it another chance because of the great package selection offered. On our second tour, we were shown the rooftop and absolutely fell in love. It was exactly what we were looking for, a rooftop wedding with a skyline view. We ended up using all three of their venue spaces, and our guests loved all of them. They took so many pictures. Angel, our coordinator, was great to work with as well. She answered so many of our questions and concerns throughout the planning process. There were some things we got okay’ed by the sales team that weren’t technically in line with the venue’s policy but Angel was really great in working with us to honor those commitments. She was also amazing the day of, taking care of all the little details and putting out all the fires so I didn’t have anything to worry about. Melissa, who was my bridal attendant for the day, was just as great. She was there for whatever I needed, anything from food to lip gloss to getting me a drink to making sure I had my fluffy sandals to change into. She literally held my cold hands and made me breathe with her before I walked down the aisle. Our day couldn’t have been more perfect! The food was amazing and plentiful (the sushi station, OMG!). Our guests were so impressed and VERY full! We upgraded our package and had the premium open bar, which did not disappoint. We’ve received so many compliments about our wedding and have been told multiple times by our guests it’s the best wedding they’ve ever been to. We did have a little snag with the room reservations but I’m told it was resolved as quickly as possible. I do have to say that the rooms were nicer/cleaner than I expected given the reviews. I ended up switching hair+makeup into the bridal suite last minute because I loved the suite so much. They also have a day club during the summer months that we were not aware of when we initially booked the venue. EDM is blasting all day, you can hear it during our first look videos, but it wasn’t obvious during the ceremony. We didn’t have a problem with it, but I think some of our older family members were a bit confused. Overall, we are so incredibly happy with how everything turned out, it was exactly how we envisioned our best.day.ever! Reviewed on 03-09-2019

The views, culinary experience, ambiance and customer service were all second to none. Locals and out-of-towners alike were thoroughly impressed by the venue. Attention to detail and stress free environments are critical on wedding weekends, and the ravel hotel didn't miss a beat! Securing room blocks was a piece of cake and the rates were very affordable compared to neighboring hotels. Our guests continue to rave about the food - who knew rock shrimp(and everything else) could have such a lasting impact. The shuttle service was readily available for those guests looking to venture elsewhere. Following our wedding paraded to the Penthouse 808 rooftop to continue the party - the sights and sounds were the perfect way to end our first night together as the new Mr. & Mrs. The following day we hosted a 125 person brunch. Our older guests enjoyed relaxing at Ravel's Garden Grill while the younger guests \"dipped\" over to Profundo Day Club for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Oh and I failed to mention the penthouse suite, it's truly a 1 of 1. Our wrap around balcony provided what I deem to be the best views in the city - hands down! Charity Sabater(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-05-2019 My (now) husband and I had already toured MANY wedding venues in Manhattan (one of which we had just received a contract) when we stumbled upon Ravel Events at Ravel Hotel online. We are the type of people who say we need to get a visa just to leave Manhattan so when we decided to take a \"trip\"' to Ravel Hotel, we joked about having a \"destination\" wedding. As we were discussing details of what we wanted with the representative giving us the tour when, Frank (co-owner and manager of Ravel Events) just happened to be in the foyer area. He came over and sat down to address our questions. Frank quickly earned our trust in such an unexpected way. Not only personable, he knew how to ease any/all of our hesitations and appeared genuinely ready to work with us to create a truly special event. Somehow, we were already in negotiations with respect to which areas of the Ravel we might be able to use (some not yet available) along with different scenarios of how everything might unfold from the ceremony in the Grand Ballroom to the possible cocktail hour on Ten Rooftop and then our reception in Penthouse 808. Unique ideas grew from this serendipitous meeting and changed the trajectory of our entire Memorial Day Weekend wedding plans. Needless to say, after speaking and brainstorming with Frank, we discarded the other venue's contract and looked no further. The unbelievable three days of wedding events/parties that followed just 4.5 months later were OVER THE TOP SPECTACULAR!! As we got closer to our date, Betsy and Frank were very accessible and beyond accommodating based on feedback, quick planning and a growing guest list. They also recommended vendors who had great reputations and were willing to be flexible within our price parameters. Big SHOUT OUT to DJ Bryan from White Isle Events who was so wonderfully easy to work with and created the exact vibe we wanted. The process leading up to the big day was one of collaboration and team effort across Frank's and Seth's (aka Chef Extraordinaire!) teams including Betsy, Angel, Julissa and Melissa. In the end, happiness permeated everywhere and people couldn't stop raving across the board!! BRAVO Seth and team!!Saturday began with our ceremony in the Grand Ballroom followed by our cocktail hour on Ten Rooftop then, our fabulous reception in Penthouse 808. Our guests were floored with the stunning views and different locations...one more impressive than the next. During each event, Melissa (my bridal attendant) was by my side every step of the way.Because of the detailed care and focused efforts provided by Ravel Events, our weekend actually evolved into a true \"destination\" wedding. This is as close as one could ever hope for when thinking about the PERFECT wedding weekend. On Sunday, we threw a BBQ brunch at the Garden & Grille that included Garden Games and a Pool Party at Profundo. We enjoyed a private VIP area for just our guests which included over-sized games and beach lounge beds & swing chairs. So FUN and felt like a mini-vacation for many. Our wedding weekend went above and beyond our expectations! There isn't any other NYC venue that offers what Ravel Events delivers. We started to look at these warehouses in bklyn and LIC and quickly found that 1. These places charge $12k just to open the door 2. It was going to be sooo much work to do everything from renting silverware, getting a caterer 3. These places had one event space that they turned over so everything would have been crammed. We found the ravel hotel in our search for something inclusive and easy but wasn’t your typical hotel wedding.... and we also found Betsy, the lead even coordinator at the Ravel and our wedding savior! She was so great to work with the entire planning process and knew we had a budget we were working with! We could bring in any vendor we wanted (as long as they had insurance) which was awesome so we were also to have mom and pop vendors like Amina ford photography and buds of brooklyn for our florists. When we ended up having less guests than we thought, Betsy helped us with our minimum spend to add the hot dog late night food cart and extend our bar an hour! The details are the ravel are amazing. Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful on the rooftop ph808. It’s hard to imagine when you see the space as a restaurant but they really transform it for your wedding ceremony. Our cocktail hour was at the observation deck and the food was insane! We had the ny, ny station and the taco station and both were huge hits! We have a obsession over hot wings so the chef switched out the pork sliders at one station for wings! The quality and presentation are the ravel are unmatched. My photographer couldn't get enough pictures in front of the bridge and the skyline. Our ceremony occurred on the 10th floor rooftop facing the SilverCup Sign - it was stunning. Our cocktail hour was on the observation deck overlooking the city and then finally the reception was in Penthouse 808 overlooking the bridge and the NYC Skyline. This venue is truly a hidden gem, my guests could not stop raving about the view. Plus almost every guest took a picture with the backdrop of the bridge before they left the party :) The reason that this venue is not getting 5 stars is because there is a lack of organization & coordination - part of our contract included a day of wedding coordinator & while she was helpful, there was still a huge gap in the flow of my wedding because there was not enough staff assisting guests. My guests were not directed from location to location & the timeline was not adhered to very well. This venue has unbeatable views so I would have my wedding here again just because of the views alone - but do yourself a favor and hire an external wedding coordinator to take care of everything on the day of. That is the key piece that is missing - and it led to a lot of setbacks on my wedding day. Reviewed on 29-08-2018

Samantha Raddock(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2017 We had our ceremony in PH808, cocktail hour in the Garden Grill, and the reception in the new ballroom. PROS: All of the spaces were genuinely awesome. PH808 has the INCREDIBLE view of Manhattan and the 59th street bridge, at 6pm in early fall the sun was perfect and it made our pictures & ceremony breathtaking. The crazy part is I think it pales in comparison to the cocktail hour in the Garden Grill, which may have been our wedding highlight. A vast, open, beautiful space, with an incredible backdrop under the bridge. People were lining up for their own pictures almost as much as they were eating and drinking. The ballroom was also stunning, of course. A huge space, beautiful, great lighting, and the patio area was a great bonus for guests who wanted to get some air without leaving the party completely. The food was a huge hit as well. Not only is it extremely tasty (hard to find at weddings where the food is mass-produced), there was also a ton of it. All our guests commented on how good and plentiful the food was. Our planner from the Ravel, Betsy, was an absolute godsend. A complete professional, brilliant, organized, responsive, accommodating, caring, you feel like she is right there with you the whole way, that every facet of your wedding matters to her just as much as it matters to you. We genuinely adored her, and she was the best part of our entire wedding planning experience.CONS: The overall organization of the Ravel itself. Quite honestly, the ballroom and Garden Grill area were both new at the time (I think we may have been the fifth wedding they had there, maybe) and it was clear that the hotel was still trying to figure out how to use these spaces appropriately. After we already had our contract signed and were well into the planning process, there was confusion on Ravel's part over which spaces would be ours and when, and some heated debating with Frank over what we were promised. Even though it got resolved eventually, and they realized that they had to honor their agreement, it caused some serious anxiety for a time. Assuming that process gets smoothed out a bit as time goes by, we would absolutely recommend the Ravel wholeheartedly (but you MUST work with Betsy). It's a fantastic wedding venue. The view is breathe-taking and will blow your guests away. Our cocktail hour took place on the rooftop and our reception was in the new beautiful Grand Ballroom with almost 350 guests. They were flexible and we had everything we asked for - ice luge, pig roast, photo booth, cigar table, bag pipers, money guns and more. We also worked through the hotel to provide our guests with transportation to and from Ravel Hotel to our ceremony at St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC. The hotel made an extra step to accommodate our guests by allowing an early check-in and upgrading our guests with a beautiful view from their rooms. When the reception ended the celebration continued on the rooftop at the Penthouse and we were provided great service and danced the night away....Everything went off without a hitch! Thank you to all the staff at Ravel Hotel - Delores, Betsy, Clester, Julissa, Benny, Frank, Aarius for making our wedding unforgettable and magical!...You are family to us and we will be back for our future celebrations.September 23, 2017 - Patrick & Stacey Reviewed on 06-12-2017
Fahreta Lekaj(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-10-2018 While the people working there seem great, the venue is subpar. It was shocking to see the difference. What’s advertised is a beautiful rooftop venue and what you get is a first floor view of buildings and the construction trucks left under the bridge. I was pretty disappointed to see this considering the potential the venue could have had if they stuck with the rooftop setting. There’s an excessive price difference that’s just based on view not that the initial package gives you much anyway. Reviewed on 06-12-2017

We could not have been happier with the final product. Our ceremony and rehearsal dinner were up on the rooftop - the most beautiful views! Our guests were gushing about them! Our very large wedding reception was in the brand new ballroom, which is absolutely stunning, and super modern. While I can go on and on about the beautiful space and even more amazing food (AMAZING food), I have to say Elyse and Dolores were the absolute best. Elyse was with us the entire ride, answering questions and updating us along the way. She was beyond professional, helpful, and quick to respond. We had started looking at the venue about 2 years before our wedding actually happened, so by the time it ended it felt as if we were old friends! Kim Gill(groom)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-04-2019 Disclaimer - I am reviewing a visit to the venue. I did not have my wedding there. My fiancee and I visited Penthouse 808. We really want a non-traditional venue and are considering many places between Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. We had a 3 p.m. appointment on a Sunday. We were about 10 minutes behind schedule. When we arrived, we had to pay $20 to valet our car without warning because of a Hulu shoot going on that day. We had to speak to 3 different people over the course of 30 minutes before someone actually came down to see us and show us aroundShe showed us each room and told us about the details of each. The rooftop (Penthouse 808) was very nice. But the pictures we saw online carefully avoid showing the big power plant directly across the street that is in clear view from the roof. After waiting almost 30 minutes, our entire meeting was under 20 minutes. At no point did we get to sit down to discuss the menu, options, dates, or pricing. And the woman showing us around kept mistaking our proposed wedding date (couldn't even get the year right). When looking for a venue, you want to feel prioritized and important. I couldn't believe the level of service we received from a place that seems to be highly regarded by the reviews we've seen.Would've been a 1 star if I didn't really like the design of the rooftop. THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE... and here is why... my husband and I met here 7 years ago and just got married on Memorial Day Weekend 2017- our 7 year anniversary! From the moment we did the first walk through with Elyse, Delores and Betsy, we knew we were in great hands! We soon met Benny and his entire team as well who worked closely with Elyse, Delores and Betsy so that we never wanted or needed anything! They were the most professional, service oriented team that I have ever had the pleasure to work with and treated us like family!!! Elyse, Delores, Betsy and Benny took care of every single detail from managing the construction of a custom black and white dance floor on the roof top, to making sure our Chuppah, was ready, and ensuring their staff secured every single wedding detail we prepared down to the place setting, welcome table, cocktail hour and dinner station signs, slide show, after party, pr-cocktail party, the list goes on and on and absolutely nothing was missed for our almost 200 Guest wedding!!! In fact, our guests are still talking about our wedding which definitely broke the internet as the best wedding or party they have ever had the pleasure of attending!! Everyone commented on the impeccable service and my husband and I agree that we were treated like celebrities the entire time, we even had our own security team at the after party who stayed with us the entire time ensuring we were happy as Chus and Ceballos brought us into the morning hours and we closed down the place! The food is absolutely amazing and again every detail and special request we made was attended to immediately. We even had a surprise special performance by the rapper Cam'ron planned for our guests and worked closely with Amed and our DJ Petey to ensure it went smoothly and it sure did! Booking rooms at the venue was extremely easy with Julissa as well, we had over 80 guests spend the night and dropped Welcome bags which the staff took great care of and made sure our guests were treated well! Honestly, I can not say enough about the entire Ravel team. If you are looking for a dreamy New York City wedding with incredible views, 5 star food, and impeccable service from a team who goes out of their way to make you feel like family, there is NO better place! John A(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2016 We had such a wonderful and very memorable wedding reception at Penthouse 808 at the Ravel Hotel in October, so much so that it was worth sharing in a review. All of the staff at the event were courteous and thorough in carrying out their various duties. +The rooftop venue itself provides incredible and stunning views of the NYC eastside skyline, the 59th Street Bridge, and also amazing east river sunsets. We held our wedding in mid-October. Cocktail hour is at a separate Observation deck level which allows guests both indoor and outdoor views and relaxation as they enjoy the scenery and a beverage….multiple bars were set up for this portion of the reception. The reception and dinner is held at a slightly lower rooftop level which has a retractable rooftop that adds a stunning layer of class and beauty. Most of our 180 guests continue to talk about it today. As the evening went on, the retractable roof was closed as it was starting to get chilly. Anyway, so the venue and it’s unique accessories alone made us excited about hosting our reception there; However, it was working with Elyse Williams during the initial contract process, for the better part of an entire year leading up to the event, and during the critical last couple of days, that really made our experience here over the top. We came away with great pictures, glowing comments from our guests, and above all, great memories. Elyse was very knowledgeable in her event planning and very meticulous in the project management of all aspects of the event. She was very thorough and cordial in all email, phone and in-person conversations for the entire year of our planning. She provided guidance and examples of other layouts and choices whenever we sought them out from her, and She also worked easily and thoroughly with all of our vendors before and during the reception. Elyse and the other staff members at Ravel did a great job in:•\tDesigning and displaying a great layout which fully mimicked and met our prior discussions and in some cases (as with the observation deck), surpassed them.•\tCurating our Menu Selection and enabling us to have multiple people at the tasting and to walkthrough the venue•\tAssisting in linen selections and various other design requests•\tThey seamlessly managed the random “day-of” situations and issues immediately and with great care.•\tThey were very aware of the VIP guests at the wedding reception and did well to treat them with great regard and respect•\tLastly, they addressed all of our one-off “day-of” requests and changes immediately and without a hitch. For us hosting our reception at Penthouse808 we were also granted a complimentary suite for the day which came stocked with many complimentary amenities. Brandi Dowd(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-07-2015 \rWe went through 4 event planners during the planning our wedding. They made a million promises to get us to book this place. After we booked and signed those promises were null and void. But now we were locked. When we got to the actual day we were both a mess, stressed and nervous. The sound system didn’t work correctly and kept cutting, the time line was a mess and my husband and I were running around trying to keep things together. We were promised that the items we wanted such a jameson, jack daniels, bacardi, (mid shelf) was a part of our package. Later, we found out that our GUESTS WERE ACTUALLY PAYING FOR THIS. The worst part was that at 9:56, 4 minutes until the wedding ended the planner asked if we wanted to do the bouquet toss, I agreed and she literally reached over and pulled out the plug from the iPad. No warning, no asking to get our MC to tell people just family and friends on the dance floor stuck. Right away staff started removing the belongings of our guests and put them in the club tables without warning, and when my husband asked the wedding planer to put music on in the interim she refused. Our guests stood around and half left without us being able to say goodbye because of how unorganized they were. It was shit show. WHY did we book this venue? At first when we talked to James the CFO, he agreed that what happened at our wedding was wrong and he seemed apologetic, but later we were told that the promises made to us were made from event planners they fired, and although we paid for a service we did not receive, they wouldn’t refund anything. I had the emails showing the promises THIER staff made, they could care less. I booked based on these promises and when they didn’t keep their word it was us who lost out. And worse yet the CFO and Owner of the hotel did nothing to make it right. We paid, they got our money, and although we didn’t get 2/3 of what we wanted we were attached through a vague contract. If I were to be able to do it all again, I would without question have chosen another venue. \r Reviewed on 25-07-2015

Nicole Torre(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-09-2014 Everyone loved our venue. Said it was one of the best views they have seen. We went through a lot of stuff during the planning process though. Hopefully now they have all of the kinks worked out. We originally booked this spot last summer with Natassa (name who you see in other reviews). They were under construction and we saw images of what the new roof top and new building next door would look like, est time completed May 2014. It looked amazing and she gave us a great under construction price. we guaranteed 150 guests. Slowly her email contact became less and less and she was out of the office more often. I finally was told in Jan. that none of the construction of the other building is going to be finished in time for my wedding. So heart broken. They assured me that the roof top renovations would be finished and we could fit all 150 guest on the roof. We go to see the venue again and was told that Natassa was no longer working with the venue. This is when I met Karina. The only reason why I gave 4 stars over 3 was because of her. She answered every annoying email promptly and made me feel like I was good hands. Months go by and we finally see the finished rooftop and it looked incredible. We think this will end up even better. We sit down for a tasting with Karina and Mark (20 days before wedding). Mark is pushy and just really doesn't seem to have a good personality. His one purpose seems to be to get more money out of you. He was always the bearer of bad news. He is a salesman. I was told my contract wasn't for 150 guest but 100 guest and we owed another $9000. We didn't know what to do we didn't have that money. How come no one noticed this months ago. I re read over the contract and see that in fact my contract was based on 150 guest. They had no choice but to honor the price on the contract. (make sure to read over everything and get things in writing). We go for our last appointment and the roof top is now enclosed because it has been getting colder. I was not happy with this because half of the beautiful view is covered by plastic windows and brown bars. At this point I couldn't get angry or upset anymore and just excepted that. The day of the wedding everything went pretty smooth. Karina was my bridal attendant and she went above and beyond to make everything amazinnnnnggg that day. The only thing that went wrong on the actual day was that my dj wanted to set up his own equipment but the Ravel said to use theirs because of the quick turn over to night club at 1030, So the dj listened and then the Ravels microphone didn't work for 90% of the night. My MC was unable to do his job and the best man/maid of honor speeches weren't heard. If a mic not working was the only thing that went wrong after everything we have been through with this place I was happy. It ended up being an amazing venue. Food was great! Bartenders and service was great. Karina was incredible. She made sure we had everything we needed and she set up everything exactly how I envisioned it. I would recommend this place because of her and the view. The breakfast on Sunday was great and Stephanie who did the room blocks was very accommodating as well. Full renovations are going to be done in 2015 then it will look even more incredible. Reviewed on 09-10-2014

We reserved Ravel in June 2013 for a June 2014 wedding with the understand that the venue would be completely renovated and have multiple locations within the hotel to hold our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. \r\rOnce the papers were signed and the deposit was cashed we did not hear from them again without having to hunt them down for updates on construction. They fired their events manager 8 months later and told us that they would make up for the lack of communication that the location would not be ready for our wedding, but they had at least a couple of spaces we could use. \r\rFrank changed what he was willing to give us every time we meet with him and when I confronted Mark that I recorded every conversation with him promising us to make up for what they couldn't provide us when we first signed our contract. We eventually were slightly compensated, but not without stress and a fight.\r\rThe weekend of the wedding we dealt with a couple of rude men at the front desk who were not accommodating to myself or our guests when I asked them about the shuttle (during shuttle hours). \r\rThe bridal attendant (who I was told leading up to the wedding would be there all day to help with anything) didn't show up until 4 when the wedding started at 6. \r\rThey hung dead plants from the roof which ruined pictures of the skyline that we wanted for the ceremony. The roof was closed which also blocked the skyline without my approval. They never covered the Penthouse808 sign that is on the roof that they told us repeatedly that they would, so I great deal of my photos have that listed in the background.\r\rWe also got the DJ through the hotel with rave reviews from them and were told they were going to charge us $750 in November and then in April it jumped to $1000. We had to fight for the price to be brought down to what we originally agreed to. Then at the wedding DJ 9PM played every song/artist I listed on my DO NOT play list and kept on saying, \"Welcome to Ravel Hotel's Penthouse808!\" Not welcome to Mike & Andrea's wedding, it was like he was DJ their nightclub. \r\rOur wedding ended at 11pm and at 10 they started breaking down the location to transform to their nightclub. Asking our guest to move so they can take tables away. \r\rYou will be pulled in by the beautiful skyline, but don't waste your time and money on these people. Jennifer Newton(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-08-2013 We had our wedding upstairs at the Ravel's rooftop, so it only made sense to use the Ravel Hotel as our wedding room block. Stephanie was great to work with, quickly setting up my room block and explaining to me all the perks. From the minute I stepped foot into the hotel I could tell it was exactly what I wanted my out-of-town (and even close to town) guests to experience while being in NYC. The hotel could use some minor upgrading to keep it looking spiffy, but in all it's great chic and modern. The staff was fantastic accommodating early check-ins and late check-outs. They were also great with dispersing my welcome gifts to guests. Only con is no free wifi! Reviewed on 27-08-2013
Lauren Brown(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-07-2013 My Wedding was on July 5th, 2013. It was a beautiful day and I was so fortunate because I was able to have the venue in all its glory. This is a roof top restaurant, (open air) that gives a beautiful view of the city. Everyone complemented me on the venue. I worked with Natassa and Megan while planning my wedding. Natassa made everything very easy. She was extremely accommodating, very creative, and a pleasure to work with. She is a very vibrant person full of life and positive energy. She is very well organized and very professional. The food was also amazing. Natassa worked with me to put together a vegan menu in addition to the regular chicken, beef, and fish, and that was really special for me because I have a few family members that are vegan. This was the perfect venue for me because I wanted a non traditional venue but at the same time still elegant. I could go on and on about my experience, the beauty of the venue, and working with Natassa and Megan, but my entire experience was amazing I was treated the way a bride to be should be treated. I highly recommend this venue!!!! Reviewed on 30-07-2013
Catherine Cassar(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-09-2012 I just had my wedding on September 15th at Penthouse 808 (Ravel Hotel). My husband and I have had countless guests tell us that our wedding was hands down the greatest wedding they have ever been to. \r\rMy worst nightmare for my wedding was for it to just be in a room somewhere like every other wedding at a catering hall. When I randomly came upon this venue and saw it with my husband we instantly knew it was perfect and very \"us\". \r\rWe worked with Natassa and she was an absolute dream! She was such a pleasure to work with. We also worked with Annie and Julissa and the entire team was perfection. You could tell that they really cared about my wedding and they did everything in their power to make my wedding exactly what I wanted it to be. I always felt important, and every time we went there we were treated like VIPs. I wasnt just one of many brides on my big day, I was the only bride and the only wedding and my guests were well taken care of. I can be very specific and detailed because I always know exactly what I want. Natassa took very detailed notes and she exceeded my expectations on every level. She is an absolute jem and everyone at my wedding loved her! She took care of EVERYTHING on my big day, and truly allowed me to just relax and enjoy it (Which is very hard for someone like me to do). \r\rI will always feel like Penthouse 808 is another home for us because the whole staff is so warm. If the staff doesn't get you, the actual venue will. I know there are not enough photos posted of weddings there, but trust me, it is the most breath-taking venue i've ever seen. It is on a rooftop directly next to the 59th street bridge and on the water overlooking the beautiful manhattan skyline. \r\rAs far as cost, it can be very affordable or extravagant as you'd like. They make it work for you. Plates can range from i believe a minimum of $90 a plate - up to $160 or so. Theif chef is amazing, and will make you anything you want even if it isnt on the menu. Our guests raved about the food, which was a major selling point to me as well. It is anything but your traditional crappy catering hall food. Their chef is world class and is very easy to work with and tweek the menu options to your liking.\r\rOur ceremony was right in front of it with the city and bridge as our backdrop. It really can't be beat. It will take your breath away. If you're looking for a more modern, unique, warm, personal, meaningful wedding, then the Penthouse 808 is it. Reviewed on 04-12-2012

Meagan Menefee(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2012 I first came across penthouse 808 with a friend, we went to their Latin night in Wednesdays and had dinner and cocktails. I loved the view and the experience, and thought - what a great date spot & what a nice place for a wedding. Just so happens A few months later I got engaged and started looking at wedding locations. I talked to quite a few venues in the NYC area, some in Manhattan, some in LIC and surrounding areas. I believe strongly in first impressions, and my first conversation with Natassa (the GM) was informative and very helpful and very friendly. My first meeting with her seemed too good to be true. She talked about all of the possibilities and was open to just about anything I suggested or asked. This was different from just about any place I had talked to at this point, as most are very structured, in that they don't allow any elements outside of their cookie cutter format. Once we realized what the competition was (or wasn't) offering, we quickly decided to book with the Ravel, Penthouse 808. We wanted a NYC, non-traditional, fun wedding... And this seemed to be the place for it.\rI will also say I come from a family who is in the food business, so food quality and service is very important. Once we had a tasting, I realized the food quality was up to par! The menu was very diverse and interesting, and they even said that we can have the chef make additional dishes that aren’t on the menu, if we want.\rNatassa and Annie (Natassa's assistant) were nothing but overly helpful throughout the entire process, and were always super friendly. They made recommendations for vendors, menu, layout.... Anything I needed. All with a smile. They honestly honored every request I made and seemed to have fun doing it, which is important. As there is a big difference in how someone does their job when they enjoy it. They are both amazing at their jobs! They helped me tremendously through the whole planning process, which meant more then they could know, considering my mom doesn't live nearby, and I was pretty much planning on my own. I really can't say enough about them and the entire staff.\r \rDuring the week surrounding the wedding, they even helped with suggestions for rehearsal dinner and other entertainment for our out-of-town guests, which was extremely helpful.\r\rOur wedding was absolutely amazing!!!! Ceremony was perfect!! Everything looked great and it was everything we hoped for. IT was magical! The cocktail hour and reception was AMAZING!!!! Natassa and Annie worked with the vendors and made sure everything went without a hitch, and it surely did! The food was just as great as it was at the tasting & the drinks were tasty and plentiful ... And everyone was treated like gold. Our wedding ended at 11pm, but a group of us stayed and partied until 2:30/3:00 am, and had the time of our life! My guests have still continued to comment that it was the best wedding they have ever been to, they loved the setting and have also commented on the amazing staff. It really made me feel good that not only did I have a great experience, but so did my guests! It was the most amazing day of our lives… and we honestly couldn’t have done it without Natassa and Annie!\rI will close by saying, it is the perfect place for a small- medium size wedding, if you want am interesting setting, great view, great party, great service, great food and drinks! \rOut of towers love it ... Maureen McGurk(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2011 Many thanks to Annie and Penthouse 808/Ravel Hotel for the incredible service we received for our wedding back in October (10/29/2011). We truly appreciated everything that she and the entire team did to make our day so memorable! First class service, food, atmosphere and hotel!\rI was living in CA for the engagement and start of the planning process, then I lived in VA during the final planning stages – and we were married in NY with about 75 people on a Saturday. Coordinating a wedding from three states was certainly complex but Annie’s responsiveness, professionalism and experience was extremely helpful! At each step of the various decisions she ensured we had all the pertinent information and during our pre-visits to the hotel we were always given first class service both in the hotel and the restaurant! In the end, everything that was discussed came through perfectly. The menu was FANTASTIC and the food was delish. Chic and different, fusion. It really stands out from the same old wedding menu of salmon, chicken and steak!\rAnnie and the team were always one step ahead of everything on our wedding day, making sure the flow of everything (cocktail hour, ceremony, dance, food, cake) was concise and enjoyable for everyone. We really had nothing to worry about, which enabled us to focus on our special day and guests – and have a good time. The venue itself is just beautiful and fantastic -with breathtaking views of Manhattan and the 59th street Bridge. We got married in the afternoon, and its wonderful there at ANY hour and in ANY weather. We were there once before the wedding and had awesome views of an approaching thunder storm over the city!\rOn the day itself we had many guests comment on the politeness and attentiveness of the team at Ravel. We are still hearing from family/friends almost a year later how wonderful everything was. On our wedding day we had the largest snowstorm in the month of October in over 50 years – so to deal with a weather event and yet not miss a single step – and always remaining calm and with a smile in all of the activities is truly uncommon! Annie and her team did a great job, right down to the hotel shuttle bus taking my family around LIC in the snow the night before of the wedding. \rWe had many guests came from other states, so being able to spend a beautiful afternoon with great food and beautiful views of the skyline was a memorable one. Booking a block of hotel rooms was easy and at a discounted rate, and everyone enjoyed the modern rooms with very comfortable beds and easy access to the city. \rIn a fast-paced world we felt like we stepped back in time and received service, courtesy, and manners that are hard to find. \rOur warm and sincere thanks to Penthouse 808/Ravel Hotel\r Reviewed on 27-07-2012
Courtney P(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-05-2012 We are so thrilled we chose Penthouse 808/Ravel Hotel as our venue for our wedding reception. Natassa and Annie were amazing in helping us plan our event, thus taking a majority of stress off of us. The results of their hard work was unbelievable, as my husband and I are still hearing compliments about our wedding 2 months ago. Guests had 3 choices for their entree, and all of them were delicious! It definitely was not the typical bland wedding food you get at a reception. The DJ they recommended was awesome. His choice of songs covered everyone's tastes and he even had my 92 year old grandmother up and dancing! Natassa and Annie were always one step ahead of the night, making sure the flow was concise and enjoyable for everyone. We really had nothing to worry about, which was perfect because we could focus on our guests and on having a good time. The venue itself is fantastic, with breathtaking views of Manhattan. A lot of our New York friends had never been there and were really impressed. Many of our guests came from out of town, so being able to spend a beautiful evening of dancing and drinking in front of the skyline was a memorable one. My husband, who was overwhelmed at first with the whole planning process, keeps talking about how smoothly everything went and how fun that night was. A little trust in Natassa and Annie goes a long way. Reviewed on 24-07-2012
Nora Mango(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2011 My husband and I found Penthouse 808 at the Ravel Hotel to be the perfect venue for our wedding reception. We met and fell in love in NYC, actually in Astoria Queens, so having our celebration in the neighborhood we knew and loved was important to us. When we first inquired about hosting our reception at the Penthouse, we weren’t sure it was something we could afford, anyone planning a wedding knows how difficult it can be to align your budget with your vision of what you want. Penthouse staff invited us to come by the venue and discuss our initial thoughts on guest numbers, food, timing, drinks, music, and of course budget. We met with Natassa Contini, who led us through the entire process, by the time we left after our first meeting we already knew it was the perfect venue for us. Over the next few months (we planned for about 7 months), Natassa helped us to work within our budget to accommodate everything we wanted. The food was delicious, the wine was amazing, we barely needed to spend money on flowers and decorations since the amazingly stunning background of the night sky and the bridge were there, and the items we did bring for favors/flowers/card birdcage were all set up by the staff with little more than an outline by us. We filled our room block with our guests and even used the Ravel shuttle to get to our Church ceremony in the neighborhood. We couldn’t have asked for a more amazing night. Thank you Penthouse 808! Jasmin Mendizabal(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2012 So it's been over a month now and people are still talking about my wedding....\rFirst I have to say Natassa was absolutely amazing, I live far from the venue and we work until well in to the evening. My husband and I were very pleased with the convenience of our appointments; yes many of them. We were kept up to date with all the changes and renovations being done to the venue, we booked a year and a half before the big day so it was nice to see some concerns we expressed come together, i.e. upholstery of the furniture and an additional bar. If you are ever in the market for a wedding coordinator you know they cost a few thousand dollars and that was just not in our budget, we didn’t need one with all Natassa did for us. \rFirst, we had 3 tasting, very unheard of in the wedding industry. We tasted every dish and passed hor d'oeuvres in addition to our 2 signature drinks until we were completely satisfied. We even brought our families with us, since they were a little concerned about the untraditional venue we had chosen, they were flawed by the food and knew why we wouldn't get married anywhere else. \rOur outside vendors such as our photographer and DJ also came along with us to appointments hosted by Natassa to ensure everyone was on the same page, this helped immensely. Our vendors never once stopped us throughout the wedding; they went straight to Natassa for anything they needed. Natassa made sure my wedding party was all together for our entrance and had anything and everything we needed at all times.\rThe linens & runners I wanted were not included in my wedding package so Natassa agreed to split the cost and ordered everything themselves, saving me time and a trip to deliver them. \rWhen we arrived from our ceremony and pictures we were exhausted, the front desk had already checked us in and before we could even close the door Natassa was there to see if we needed anything and immediately sent down hor d'oeuvres and water. Every hor d'oeuvres was delightful, our favorite being tuna tartar on a crispy wonton, sushi, pine nut meatballs, slice beef with horseradish and the lobster roll. At our request they also offered both a soup or salad, tomato chili gazpacho (perfectly served and flavored) or organic greens with an Asian orange dressing. We had an open bar and our guest made sure they took full advantage, I requested no shots until later in the party to keep everyone on their toes lol and the bartenders were all on the same page. Our only issue was at first there were not enough bartenders at the large bar inside but that was quickly fixed. \rI have to say from the owner down to the wait staff took excellent care of the tables, dishes were never lingering (a pet peeve of mine) and the owner even got down on his hands and knees to clean a sauce I had spilled on my dress. Yes the owner! Annie was also a great help communicating details and accommodating our time with Natassa leading up to the event. \rWe had such a warm and humid day, but it was apparent our guests were having such a good time they didn't seem to mind much. Right before our first dance it started to drizzle a little but the staff was ready to go and closed the retractable roof and walls right away, opening it maybe 10 minutes later just in time for my father daughter dance when the sun peeked through again. \rThe view was something I offered my guest that was priceless, especially at night. It is absolutely breathtaking. My husband was showing off some pictures Reviewed on 16-07-2012
Irene Concepcion(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-08-2011 I fell in love with Penthouse 808 at the Ravel Hotel long before I thought having a wedding there. It had a whole South Beach vibe. With Cabanas and palm trees and an exceptional view of the Manhattan skyline. Natassa handled the details of our event in such a professional manner. Everytime I emailed a request, she was on it. Initially, we were going to do the traditional 4 hours, but with baby in tow, we had to bring it down to just a cocktail affair. Natassa was accomodating and kept to all our changes. During the walk through, she managed to get our signature drink to even the color of our theme - Tiffany blue. The day of the event, we were a day away from hurricane Irene coming through, but, you wouldn't have even noticed. There were only 2 small complaints - the tables were being dressed while guests arrived. 2 tables were completed almost 45 minutes into our party. And the hor d'oeuvres were not being passed around frequently. Guests were complaining. Aside from that, it was perfect. She was even able to extend our party for a half hour before opening it up to the public. Reviewed on 15-10-2011
