Rustic Elegance Nestled On Havice Mountain
Ray Vernon Estate is a country wedding venue located in Milroy, PA. Couples and their guests are invited to appreciate its majestic views. Located on the side of a beautiful mountain, parties will feel miles away from the bustle of city life as they celebrate. Despite its secluded atmosphere, the venue is easily reached from nearby Harrisburg and lies midway between the metropolitan centers of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Arriving at Ray Vernon Estate guests will be struck by the magnificent mountains that encircle the venue. A setting of great, undisturbed natural beauty it features towering pines, and leafy oak forests cut through by a babbling creek. Couples can opt for a picturesque ceremony with Mother Nature as their witness in the outdoor ceremony area which features live edge benches and an altar overlooking the fields and mountain. Afterward, the barn (which is constructed of heavy timber and secured through mortise and tenon design) welcomes guests back to a large and roomy area. The huge wooden beams stretch to meet its sky-high ceiling from which hang multiple ornate chandeliers. Marrying a rustic country style with a touch of elegance, it is an ideal setting for a gathering of friends and family. Indeed, the Ray Vernon Estateâs roots are tied to family and community. The farm was purchased in the 1930's by the Hassinger family, and their descendants are still proud to welcome guests to this day. They can provide everything needed for an unforgettable event including handcrafted tables and galvanized steel chairs. The venue can accommodate up to 200 seated guests, and over 200 when opting for a sophisticated cocktail celebration. The barn is prepared for any weather Pennsylvania throws at you as heat and air conditioning make the barn comfortable no matter what weather conditions exist outside. Couples are invited to choose their own caterer, offering them full control over their celebrations. Furthermore, the property is available to rent for one day or an entire weekend of fun and memory-making, depending on the needs of those stepping down the aisle.

Ray Vernon Estate was the venue of our dreams! Everything is up to date, clean, and there is AC! The view is incredibly beautiful and can't be topped. We received so many compliments about the craftsmanship of the barn and the landscaping/view. My husband and I are outdoor people, so the outdoor ceremony space really fit our personalities. I also loved the downstairs bridal suite. It fit all my bridesmaids and extended family (grandmas, aunts, etc) while getting ready. There is even a groomsmen suite with a TV/bar. Melody and Tom were an absolute pleasure to work with. I was able to visit the venue multiple times prior to the wedding to show family members, meet with caterers, etc. They are very accommodating and went above and beyond to make my wedding weekend (we chose the thurs-sunday package) go smoothly. Melody was very responsive to any questions and coordinated the bar-tending very well. We can't thank them enough! You will not regret having your wedding here. This will forever be one of my favorite places!

Melody and Tom were incredibly helpful in recommending vendors and giving us ideas on how to set up the venue. We were able to have the venue from Thursday - Sunday and it really helped us keep the event as low stress as possible. They were available at all times to answer questions and made us feel so special. I cannot wait to get the photos back from the photographer, because I know they will be amazing. If you are looking for the perfect place to get married, look no further!

Staff is very friendly and easy to work with! Just had my wedding yesterday and it went off without a hitch! The owners are willing to help you in any way that they can! Family friendly place! Beautifully built barn on the side of a mountain! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone! They helped me have the best day of my life!!

My son & daughter-in-law's wedding was November 4, 2022. The venue was perfect for their personalities (outdoors, wood, rustic). Mel and Tom were both wonderful to work with, always making sure that the outside was clear of leaves and debris and that the bathrooms were clean and well stocked with paper supplies and soap. Mel had great ideas for local businesses (Kickin' Catering, DJ Sammy Roselle, The Square Cafe & Bakery - all highly recommend), how to set-up tables for our guests, etc. They really had everything for your special day in mind when they planned this venue. Mel was very quick to respond to questions, whether it was a phone call or text. We had the venue Wednesday through Friday, which worked out well for us to decorate and hold the rehearsal dinner downstairs and then the wedding on Friday afternoon. The areas for the guys and girls to get dressed were a nice size and well equipped with the bride and groom in mind. The inside/outside area onsite and nearby were great to get beautiful pictures. Our guests had so many wonderful comments about the venue and how beautiful and fun the day was. We highly recommend holding your special day at the Ray Vernon Estate.

We were given the flexibility to create our dream day and celebrate it with our loved ones and goodness was it a perfect day!!! This stunning setting does not disappoint in any way: from the vaulted ceilings to the green (or in our case gorgeous fall leaf) hillsides, the chic ceremony site, or the wonderful wedding party ready rooms downstairs. We set our rehearsal buffet in these lower rooms which worked out great.Tom and Melody are available anytime to answer questions, point you in the right direction, and be encouraging. Throughout the readying day and ceremony day, they would check in for a few minutes just to see if we needed anything. It was a great balance and very helpful! Thank you both for helping make our wedding day unforgettable with memories for a lifetime as we launch into the marriage of a lifetime :)

The Ray Vernon Estate was without a doubt, the best choice for our wedding day. Mel and Tom were very helpful with preparing for our wedding day. They were quick to respond if we had any questions and gave wonderful advice and suggestions when we were stuck with some small details. The venue itself is breathtaking inside and out! The natural wood elements were perfect for our boho wedding and the outdoor area for the ceremony was to die for! Having everything in one location took a lot of the stress out of planning and made it easy for guests to move inside for cocktail hour! Overall our wedding day experience could not have been better! This is the only venue we looked at before deciding where to have our wedding. As soon as we arrived we knew it was the one for us. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and the scenery tops it off! What initially drew us to this venue was the flexibility that Mel offers. She does not require a specific caterer, dj, etc., although she does provide suggestions if needed! She is extremely easy to work with and responds to questions quickly. Our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the venue was! The downstairs area is also a nice bonus. It provides room for a rehearsal dinner and areas for both bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. I am so happy we decided to go with the Ray Vernon Estate for our wedding day. It was the perfect venue!

Our wedding was absolutely perfect and we owe a lot of that to this venue. Mel was incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure our day went off without issue. Our guests were mostly from out of state and made several comments about how Ray Vernon was \"straight out of a wedding magazine\" and how they enjoyed the beautiful drive between the hotel in Reedsville to Ray Vernon. We had made the decision to move our ceremony inside the reception hall since a storm was predicted and it was just as beautiful as what we had planned for outside. They even went the extra mile to build a triangle alter (hand crafted) for us! Breathtaking views, serene natural atmosphere and one of a kind barn. 100% recommend this venue for any occasion. Easily accommodated 120 guests. Nice touches on the downstairs âgetting readyâ areas for bride and groom. The caterers loved the warming Kitchen (outside access). Venue was very clean, beautiful inside and a gorgeous view of the valley from the generous size deck. Lots of room for our wedding of 130 people who were all very comfortable and able to move freely around. Huge downstairs with designated groomsmen area and bridal area with lots more space to have a dinner and play cornholeđ. Highly recommend. (Cornhole on the deck later after the weddingđ)

We held our daughterâs first birthday at Ray Vernon Estate. The venue and the accompanying views are breathtaking. One huge plus is that the venue is heated and air conditioned, which you canât find at other local rustic venues. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. We are sad this venue wasnât around for our wedding, because it would of been the only choice for us! We 100% recommended The Ray Vernon Estate for any event!
