Regency at Dominion Valley in Haymarket, Virginia, is a picturesque country club wedding venue filled with rolling landscapes, natural ponds, gentle streams, and scenic mountain views. Surrounded by pristine golf courses and the Northern Virginia Bull Run Mountains, the club also boasts its team of event planning professionals to ensure a couple’s day runs as smoothly as possible.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples have the option of two lushly landscaped settings with stunning water fountain features for their ceremony. Receptions take place in the clubhouse's grand ballroom, which has an attached veranda where guests can enjoy views of the surrounding countryside and championship golf course. Regency welcomes couples to invite up to 180 of their loved ones to celebrate with them at the venue. While wedding parties use the get-ready rooms, guests will find plenty of parking on-site, with wheelchair access into each event space.
Regency by Dominion Valley was a magnificent venue. Thank you for all your efforts in making our wedding such a memorable day. The day of the wedding the entire team made sure everything was organized exactly how I wanted it and even throughout the day, the transitions and timeline went according to the plan as they were always a step ahead making sure everything was perfect. All of the staff was so kind and fun to work with. The food was delicious and the prices were amazing considering everything that was included. We had to move our reception outdoors due to COVID gathering restrictions (we decided this in April when we didn't know restrictions would be cleared before our wedding) and it was absolutely GORGEOUS. This venue gave great, and affordable options. My wedding planner Sara was on top of everything even before the day of. Any questions I had she answered them promptly and accurately. During my day of I felt like could’ve asked Sara to jump and she would’ve said “how high” anything I needed she was right there with it, sometimes before I could even ask for it. She made sure my bridal party was where then needed to be, the music flowed accordingly and everything was just right on time. I cannot say enough about the stress that was pulled off of my shoulders from her help. The venue is beautiful, even at the beginning of fall, the decor is elegant but still simple enough for you to add your own touches and still look beautiful. We chose the Little Italy package and the food was to die for. Everyone at the wedding commented how delicious the food was. We worked with Cassidy who took over the coordinator position last minute due to COVID and she went above and beyond for us! She answered all my questions during the entire planning process with so much knowledge. She never made me feel like I was a nuisance or annoying with so many questions and emails. There was really no request that went ignored. Everything was set up perfectly on the day of. She made sure everything ran smoothly without overstepping into the fun part of the night. The service at the reception was great. Food was great! We really just had a wonderful time without any stress or worry. Having a wedding during COVID was extremely stressful but our wedding coordinator, Cassidy, was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely PERFECT! The venue is gorgeous, which makes for the best pictures and the food is delicious. So many options and different packages to choose from. In addition, the staff works so hard to make sure you have everything you could want and took such great care of my husband at I during our reception. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is no easy task but Cassidy was awesome in helping to come up with other solutions, even when I was panicking. Almost everything had to be changed from how it was originally planned and seating was changing daily; Cassidy and her team stayed on top of it! The venue is gorgeous from the inside and outside. We knew it was the perfect venue to choose for our wedding once we attended our first tasting. At our first tasting, Victoria was very attentive, she took notes on what we liked and what we wanted improved, she made sure to communicate with Chef Vincent. Jennifer Villatoro, the Event Coordinator was very sweet and attentive as well. She was great at communicating with us and was very helpful. On the day of the wedding my guest and I were very happy and impressed with the Regency at Dominion Valley staff. They were so attentive with us and our guests. We were very happy with the food, it was delicious and my guests complimented us on how good the food was. Thank you Jennifer, Victoria, Chef Vincent and Regency at Dominion Valley staff for all your hard work and great customer service!! Everything was beautiful and not a single detail went unattended to. I'm the type of person who gets stressed easily so I was worried that my wedding day would be overshadowed by the stress of making sure everything went according to plan, but as soon as things got started I quickly realized I had nothing to worry about and I was able to really enjoy my wedding day. The food was great and staff made sure to attend to any guests special dietary needs as well. I would 100% reccomend RDV to anyone looking for a stress free and beautiful wedding day. All of the staff were wonderful and our Wedding coordinator Cassidy was amazing. She was so helpful, was always there when we needed her. She was calm, organized, sweet, and professional. I had a bunch of questions and was worried about a lot of things, she met with me anytime I asked and always made me feel at ease. Our Wedding day went as planned with no issues. Cassidy seemed to always be there, helping everyone, getting us drinks, checking on us all night, she even helped with my bustle when my maid of honor was not able to figure it out. When taking our photos, we had a waitress come outside to us to bring us some of our appetizers. I was shocked, normally as the bride and groom, you miss cocktail hour and being able to try some of your food. That was so thoughtful of them, and much appreciated. I would definitely recommend the Regency at Dominion Valley for your Wedding. The staff, service, food, and drinks were great, and the venue is beautiful. Reviewed on 03-05-2019

The staff was amazing and took care of every detail and especially addressed of the details on the day of the even, freeing my wife and I up to enjoy the day. We had plate service and partial (beer/wine/champ) bar which our guests thoroughly enjoyed. Cost was roughly $100 per person, which included tax and gratuity. There was reduced cost for those under 21, since they don't access the bar. The weather was nice so we had the ceremony on the veranda which fit our 56 guests perfectly. Definitely take a look at Regency when booking a wedding in northern Virginia. Reviewed on 02-01-2019
Michael Hodges(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2019 While I was a brother of a bride at this venue, I will be writing this review as an event planning professional with years of experience in the 5-Star luxury market. It is my hope that my words will not only inform future clients, but bring to light major staff challenges and ultimately improve the overall operation at The Regency at Dominion Valley.First and foremost, the venue itself is wonderful. The grounds are well-kept and the building seems to have been recently updated. The hard product is great.Sadly, the rest of the experience was not as positive and truly surprising for a space that surely serves several weddings a year. As silly and outdated as it sounds, “The client is always right” and “Never say no” are phrases taught in hospitality school for a reason. We, as hospitality professionals, serve with the goal of accommodating our guests and making sure that every aspect of their stay/event is thoughtfully planned. This simply was not the case and lead to unnecessary stress not only leading up to the wedding, but on the wedding day as well.Moving on to the finer details and event logistics, I have never seen a family working an event as much as mine did. I was truthfully appalled that the mother of the bride had to become so involved, just to ensure that the program stayed on track. On several occassions, the MOB had to instruct staff herself to do the simple tasks that were arranged months in advance (ex: bringing out unity candles, moving flowers inside for reception, ushering guests to their seats, serving entrees...etc.) Instead of enjoying the pre-ceremony time with her daughter, she spent most of the time organizing these small details, missing out on the special moments. One challenge that stuck out to me personally was when the officiant was looking for the unity candle lighter. The MOB went to the planner asking if she had one to which she replied “You were supposed to bring it.” Seeing as she did not bring one, the MOB then asked if the venue had one and the response was “That’s a liability and we can’t provide one.” That response was unacceptable, especially 30 minutes before the ceremony. It doesn’t matter if the client was in the wrong, you provide alternatives and reassurance that everything will work out perfectly. In my opinion, this particular planner has no business being in front of guests. It got to the point where the MOB was physically upset and in tears before the director stepped in and sent her home. I appreciated the director’s efforts and assistance from another planner, however it was a bit too late given the prior challenges.It truly all comes down to care and I heartily believe this property lacks it. It doesn’t matter the question, task, want, need — your guest deserves an individual who will work with them and do whatever it takes to make their dream come true. Reviewed on 30-04-2018
Alex Ditursi(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2016 I recently married my favorite person ever on October 1 st at Regency at Dominion Valley and it was truly stunning in every way but before I say any more I should mention that we experienced a few mishaps during our planning process with a *Different venue*. In a nutshell with the first venue- we lost a lot of our budget due to a breach in the original contract that we signed on their behalf and shortly after they filed for bankruptcy. To say that the situation was an emotional one is quite an understatement.. after all, we were back to square one with half of the time to find another venue. Then I met Whitney and I knew that what we thought was a terrible situation really was the biggest blessing in disguise.Immediately she became a great friend, mentor and made the entire process completely hassle free! She was so happy to help with the millions of changes and questions we had regarding our contract and always showed a willingness to help in any situation. The staff was incredible, friendly and professional. We working with Laura P. and her and her staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the wedding of our dreams. She was so responsive answering questions for us, letting us bring all our little decorations the night before, helping us do the rehearsal dinner there which was phenomenal with the Shrimp & Grits, and setting up all of the details and decorations for us the day of the wedding. Also, they even helped us break down and kept all our stuff there until the next day to come pick up. They just remodeled the reception hall and it is stunning, I felt so lucky to get to have my wedding here. Everyone was commenting on how gorgeous the outside ceremony was, the grounds were, the reception and cocktail hour was I wish I could do it all over here again! I absolutely loved working with The Regency and would recommend it to anyone getting married. We had both our ceremony and reception at the venue and we could not be happier with the day that we had. Laura was extremely organized and helpful throughout the entire process and we could not thank her enough for her help in making a perfect day. The venue is well taken care of, the landscaping is beautiful and the inside was just recently renovated. We have had guests compliment how good the food tasted as well. Not one thing went wrong the day of, we had the day we always imagined and I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking. The second we got our tour at The Regency at Dominion Valley, we knew it. We even told the woman giving us the tour since we were so confident. \r\rMy favorite things about the Regency: \r\r1. The event planner- Laura Petrosino. Jennifer Bodnar was great. But she left and is no longer the event planner. Laura Petrosino has recently replaced her and she is equally amazing. She was very patient with us and helpful. She was calm, which kept me calm! You will be so happy and relieved to be working with her. \r\r2. Rehearsal Dinner- We were able to host our rehearsal dinner in the Middleburg Grill area's Potomac Room after our rehearsal, which was super convenient and we were not charged any rental fees for the room. \r\r3. The food. Oh my god, the food!!!! It is so delicious!! I didn't have a tasting until about 2 months before our wedding, but that doesn't matter because the food is DELICIOUS. We had ribeye, chicken and salmon for our rehearsal dinner (all great), everyone raved about the appetizers at cocktail hour and then we had a pasta station and prime rib (along with some veggies and mashed potatoes) for our reception. Everything was fabulous. Not only that, we also ordered sandwiches for the bridal party from the Grill because we needed lunch and you would NOT believe the spread they brought. They basically brought us a sandwich buffet and I am not lying when I say it was the best sandwich of my life. \r\r4. Care- They care! When we got married, it was raining and the staff set up outside and inside just to keep both options open. They went above and beyond to get tables set up during cocktail hour indoors after our indoor ceremony. Everyone working there was so nice. \r\r5. All-in-one- You don't have to go renting chairs, flatware and linens... The Regency provides votives, easels, chairs, tables, linens, silverware, glassware and they cater the event. Living far away, they were very flexible with food tastings and site visits the few weekends we were in town before our wedding. Jennifer Bodnar was very professional and wonderful to work with! The food was amazing (we still get comments from guests about how great it was). It's a big space for a good price. Jennifer was great to work with and had many ideas about how to spruce up the ballroom. The grounds are beautiful; many great picture locations! Only negative was that the air conditioning did not fully keep up with the heat of the day once all the guests were in the ballroom. I will admit that I was a bit difficult to deal with at time, but Jennifer Bodner did everything she could to make it the best experience possible and have all of my requests met.\r\rThe only complaint I have about the venue is the way they change for the open bar. The ceremony was gorgeous!! We also had our reception there in the ballroom. I have nothing but wonderful things to say. The venue is amazing. I was so blown away. The manager, Jennifer Bodnar was fantastic to work with!! She made sure our day was perfect. She is so passionate about what she does. The night before my wedding they lost power (which had never happened before) and within hours they were able to find a new venue for my reception. They took all of their staff and everything I had ordered over to the new reception venue and made sure that we had a wonderful reception. It was truly a miracle and all thanks to them. I love Jennifer, the event coordinator, too! However, I had 2 issues:\r When you sign your contract, you sign to pay a 20% service charge-which was fine and understandable-the charge was over $3,000. The problem is, at the wedding the bartenders lowered the classiness of the event by setting up giant tip jars which by the end of the night were full after having already paid the service charge. I wanted my family and friends to come without having to pay a cent for anything (since it had all been taken care of). My mom and I found that inappropriate. \rI had some complaints from the Cocktail hour as they were unable to get food out to all of my hungry guests. \rI know a wedding is never pulled off as perfect but these are things that hadn't thought to worry about and without, would have been perfect. \rIf I could do this day over again I would still do it at The Regency, but I would definitely have made sure none of this had taken place- Things a bride should not worry about. I had a ton of instructions for exactly how I wanted the tables/centerpieces to look and they executed it ;) Also, the food and service was excellent! I got tons of compliments. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the AV system. We rented the system for a slide show presentation/music (we did not have a DJ). Unfortunately, I was not advised as to where I should place tables around the screen. I had no idea it would come down so low from the ceiling. Consequently, there was a table right underneath it and one of my guests got hit in the head (twice :o( ) when the screen came down. Thank goodness he wasn't hurt and he was a good sport! But I think that's a big enough issue that I should have been informed ahead of time and they should not have placed a table right under the screen. Also, whoever was there to help work the AV system was not familiar with working an ipod. It was my mistake to not have a trial run, but the music and slide show stopped and started multiple times and the screen went up and down at least 2x. :/ We had the correct cables and the slide show was run off of our laptop, however, it just did not work out properly and the individual from the Regency didn't know how to fix it either. Despite the music/video issue, it was a beautiful reception and we really enjoyed ourselves. They really worked to help us stay in our budget; so for the price we got way more than expected.
