They were so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure our day was special - they exceeded our expectations in every way possible. Tracy, the wedding coordinator was amazing! So sweet, professional and is clearly very knowledgeable about the wedding industry. She also was very honest with her feedback and advice. She responded immediately and did all she could do for us. Steve, the banquets manager was also amazing! He made sure we were good throughout the night and curated the best signature drink ever! This venue is perfect for anyone who wants one venue for both the ceremony and reception. Also, alot of nice hidden spots to get awesome wedding pics as well. Highly recommended!!! Shannon Gasick(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-07-2018 Our wedding day went great at the Renaissance! Tracy and her team set up our decor how we asked and it looked BEAUTIFUL! The reception ballroom looked fabulous and so gorgeous. The meals, appetizers, and late night bites were delicious and complimented on throughout the night and next day. Sometimes wedding food notoriously isn't the best, but the Renaissance delivered on the food and flavorful dishes. The bartenders were great and quick. Tracy and Steve (banquet captain) checked on us throughout the evening to make sure things were going okay, and quickly adjusted anything we asked. Every other staff member was helpful to us and our guests throughout the wedding weekend and was also noticed and appreciated by our guests for their hard work. All of our guests had a fabulous time. Thank you, Tracy, Eddy, Steve, Katy, the chefs, bartenders, servers and every other worker at the Renaissance O'Hare for helping my husband and I have the most amazing wedding reception. Laura Choi(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-09-2018 My husband and I got married on April and we were SO HAPPY to have chosen the Renaissance O'Hare Suites as our wedding venue! And working with Katy Taylor at the Renaissance was AMAZING! She was so great to work with, was there for us throughout our whole process, and also on the wedding day. I did not need any separate day of coordinator, she made sure everything ran smoothly. Choosing this venue was the best decision. We have visited many other venues, however this location fit us best. We needed a place near O'hare since many of our guests had to fly in, so the convenience was there and they also offer complimentary shuttle service. The staff also for the entire weekend, was so friendly to our guests. People who stayed raved to us about how the hotel was so friendly and that the service was spot on. The bartender became famous as well with our group! For the wedding venue, we were the only main event that day as there is only 1 large main ballroom. We had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception dinner all there. So they really focus on you that day. Also, it was easy for our guests to be all in one place for our ceremony to reception since we had it all there, along with our hotel block. We were looking for convenience, service, and ease, and that's what we got. Myself as the bride didn't worry about any of the vendors, set up, extra items on that day since I knew Katy was there to help and everything went perfectly. If you are looking for a location where you want everything included choose a hotel. It is so easy and convenient, helped me in my whole process. The food was amazing, and the drinks were flowing. That's all we could have asked for. Thank you Katy for everything you did for us! Thank you Renaissance for being such a great venue! Reviewed on 19-07-2017

I have no regrets with going with The Renaissance for our wedding venue! It was absolutely perfect. Katy Taylor had everything under control. It was nice not having to have an elected family member being in charge of the dj, caterer, etc. She made the day everything I could have dreamed. One ballroom means one bride! Everything was festive, clean, and modern. I loved the atmosphere. Katy made many accommodations and was willing to work with us to make it a cost and experience we were able to invest in. My guests are still raving about the venue and overall night. All I have are good things to say about this venue. Reviewed on 11-05-2017
Brandy Holland(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-03-2017 My husband and I chose the Renaissance Chicago O'hare as the Ceremony and Reception sites for our March 2017 wedding. Both having large families with a lot of out of town guests, we originally looked at the Renaissance because of its free shuttle from the O'hare airport but after meeting with all of the hotels in the area and some downtown Chicago, it was clear that the Renaissance was the only one that would fit our wedding vision. The on-site coordinator, Katy Taylor, is a dream to work with. At our first meeting, Katy could tell that our biggest concern was alcohol and food so she let us do a tasting before we even signed on so we could see how amazing the hotels food was. She was right - after the tasting we signed on the spot. The food was AMAZING and honestly it was even better on our wedding day. Our guests still rave about it saying it was the best wedding food they have ever tasted!! Even after we signed on with the Renaissance, Katy was there the entire way to make sure that the whole process was easy. She recommended vendors, she kept a great time table, she introduced us to the entire hotel staff and everyone really made us feel like we were the only wedding going on at the hotel. I don't know what we would have done without Katy helping to plan and coordinate our wedding. Flash forward to wedding weekend and the Renaissance Chicago O'hare was even more amazing to work with. Katy made sure that all of our vendors were on time and that everything came together flawlessly, the wait staff blew me away with how much attention to detail they had and how accommodating they were, and the banquet captain checked in with us the whole time to make sure that my husband and I had enough to eat/drink and we weren't missing out on anything - he even helped us pack our car the next day! My family also raved about the head bartender and invited him to future family events! The people at this hotel are truly out of this world and we could not have chosen a better spot to have our wedding. I look forward to hosting future events at this hotel - I am convinced that there isn't a more beautiful venue that cares as much about their guests anywhere in Chicago! Thank you Renaissance staff. Anonymous (wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-08-2017 Our daughter had her wedding reception at the Renaissance Chicago O'Hare Suites in December. It was a very bad experience. Sixty of our 150 guests got food poisoning, including the groom. The Marriott would never admit it was food poisoning, although I gave them a list of names, and the General Manager Jeff Brown suggested perhaps our guests coming from all over the country and locally \"all caught the flu\" at the same time. We had three entrees and guests were sick from each of the entrees, which suggests cross-contamination in the kitchen. Our guests then missed school, work, family events, college exams, and we also had elderly and pregnant guests. It was very concerning. Even with doctor notes, the Marriott would admit nothing. They eventually gave us a 20% refund, after much foot-dragging and time-wasting, so we still paid for 30 meals for which our guests spent three days being very ill.As if the food poisoning issue wasn’t enough, our Marriott wedding coordinator Katy Taylor told us she'd be with us from start to finish of the process but instead called me the morning of the wedding to tell me she had a \"family emergency.\" I later found out she ditched us for a family party, which must have been planned months before. We were then hurriedly assigned to the banquet manager, who of course didn't know the details of our event. The name cards got mixed up for the dinner, so there was mass confusion as the servers gave the wrong entree to many of our guests. The servers were surly and grumpy, and one server told our guest \"to just eat it\" when given the wrong entree. My husband and I were interrupted constantly throughout the meal by the banquet manager asking us questions and clarifications as to what should be going on.And to top it off, the food was terrible. The beef was raw, the vegetables were so hard that carrots were skittering off the plates, and the soup was cold. I had told the Marriott during the planning process that the food was the most important thing to me because wedding food is so often not good. The good food we were served at the tasting didn't even resemble what our guests received at the wedding reception.I strongly warn you away from ever using this hotel for your event. Our daughter's reception was so poorly done, and the Marriott could not have cared less that we were entirely dissatisfied. We did everything we could to get it resolved and were quite reasonable about it. I wrote to the CEO and vice-CEO, and someone eventually called me to tell me \"they considered the case closed.\" Their customer service is not something that you ever want to have to deal with. Since even the groom lost two days of his honeymoon while feeling wretched as he dealt with food poisoning, would you not expect a hotel corporation to, at a minimum, give the bride and groom a voucher for a weekend at one of their properties and make it right? No, they didn't offer this. Steer clear of this hotel. Reviewed on 15-06-2016
Maggie Gaylord(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-01-2016 From start to finish, The Renaissance O’Hare has been wonderful to work with when planning a wedding. They really try to understand your vision and your details you want to showcase. I was nervous about having the wedding at a hotel because I thought things would be standard and upgrades would be outrageously priced, but this was not the case with The Renaissance. We worked with Katy and she has such a great eye for detail. This hotel was more like a boutique location where it was anything but standard. They just renovated their lobby (where we had our cocktail hour) and their reception venue. Everything is new, fresh and fun. Nothing was stuffy or bland about our wedding. Katy allowed us to bring in some unique things we wanted for the wedding and was very responsive. The week of our wedding, Katy worked with us to make sure we weren’t rushing around and stress-free. If I were to do it all over again, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. The Renaissance team can execute a wedding of 300 down to a small party so perfectly. Reviewed on 03-02-2016

Lyuba Bobova(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-03-2012 My husband chose this hotel for us and our guests, and everybody enjoyed staying there. The group rate offers a good discount, the hotel is located next to a blue line Cumberland stop, and there are restaurants, salons, Dominick's, and other businesses nearby. The only downside is that guests pay extra for parking. The parking fees are reasonable and the garage is very convenient. They also comped my parking as a wedding present. My husband and I stayed in a corner suite, which was spacious and gorgeous. Our family and friends did not like the hotel restaurant, but we found Mac's Diner a short walk across the highway, serving excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. However, the last director was great - timely in her responses to emails and addressed all concerns. The catering staff was amazing and our wedding reception was perfect. The food was delicious and guests are still commenting on it months later. In the end, it's the final product that mattered - and it was just as I had hoped.
