I don’t have enough words to convey all of the wonderful things to say about Rest Yourself River Ranch and Melinda Wilson. The ranch is an incredible place, we rented it out for the full weekend and we had many guests commenting on how it felt like a mini-vacation. Melinda has thoughtfully provided many wonderful touches throughout the property to make everything as simple and stress-free as possible. There are multiple spaces on property and we easily had 150 person events at Bri’s Patio, the Great Lodge, the amphitheater, the Recreation space, and the Courtyard, respectively. Each event felt different and special and it was awesome to have so much flexibility with the space. We had a fully outdoor wedding, and were very thankful that the weather held up, but Melinda was also very comforting about having a plan in case the weather seemed bad. Melinda was absolutely a bright spot of wedding planning - she was consistently so kind, quick to respond, and generous with suggestions and ideas. No question was too detailed for Melinda and she always made us feel comfortable and welcome. I am so thankful for the beautiful space provided by the Ranch and the fellowship and fun we had there!! It could not have been a more perfect space!!

Rest Yourself Ranch is a truly magical place! I had the pleasure of getting married here on December 4, 2021 and it was the wedding of my dreams. The views overlooking the river made for such a romantic rehearsal and ceremony, and the lights in the courtyard after dark created the perfect party atmosphere. I worked with the event coordinator on staff, Melinda Wilson, who was literally a dream to work with. She was responsive, professional, and so easy to work with. She advocated for me as the bride to help make all of my wishes come true with as little push-back as possible. It felt like working with a friend! We rented the ranch for two nights and all of our family and wedding party stayed on site, so it was like a weekend retreat. I would recommend Melinda Wilson and Rest Yourself Ranch to any bride looking for a boutique and one-of-a-kind wedding experience near Dallas/Fort-Worth, TX. I wish I could do it all over again! Thank you Melinda and Rest Yourself Ranch! Can't wait for a return visit. I love this place with my whole heart!
