Today, the main space has been reimagined as an elegantly appointed ballroom that is perfect for marking milestone moments. Restoration 1894 Event Space has a capacity for up to 300 guests. Plush and private preparation suites are available for you and your wedding party for pre-wedding pampering and relaxation. It is a great space in Liberty, MO. Sometimes, it feels like they are nickeling and diming you for everything. The venue manager can by flighty, but she is one of the best in Liberty, MO. My wedding was an amazing night.

We had a wonderful reception at Restoration! It is a beautiful space located on the quaint Liberty square. Michele helped me with choosing vendors, picked out linens and arranged our flowers which turned out so beautiful! The staff was easy to work with and worked well with the other vendors to help us enjoy a “stress-free” day!

Michele helped me with choosing vendors, picked out linens and arranged our flowers which turned out so beautiful! Michele was absolutely amazing!!!!! She made the process so very easy for me. I told her my concerns about wedding stuff, and she completely handled it for me. It was like having my own personal assitant for everything. She helped me plan flowers, gave suggestings for caterers, and when COVID-19 hit, she made a special point to check in on me and help with all that drama too! I would recommend anyone getting married, to look here. The venue is gorgeous, but Michele was the selling factor for me.

What a wonderful day! Our daughter's wedding reception was Saturday, October 17 at Restoration 1894. Michele and her staff made sure everything was ready for our celebration. The venue was perfect - located on the historic Liberty Square, beautiful views, decor and plenty of room for dinner and dancing! With the light fixtures, amazing brick walls, and beautiful windows over looking historic Liberty Square- the space is just stunning. Michelle and her team are beyond words! From the beginning she let me know that she was here to make sure that my husband and I had a great day. From our first tour of the venue to the day of she has been incredible. She is very communicative and helpful. Even if I had questions on recommendations for other vendors or general wedding questions I knew I could ask her. At our final walk through she helped me organize my vendors information and helped with coordinating their set ups. My wedding was honestly so stress free and enjoyable. If you are looking for an amazing venue- look no further.

My husband and I originally toured this venue thinking it would be our \"cheaper option\" (because the prices are so much more reasonable than other similar venues in KC!), and as soon as we walked in, we fell in love with the place and the people who run it. The space itself is beautiful (tall, tin-pressed ceilings, brick walls, original hardwood floors - pictures don't do it justice!), and there are so many places around Downtown Liberty & William Jewell campus to take bridal party photos. The bridal suite is 100% instagrammable, and the perfect size for the bridal party to get ready in for the wedding day. However, the real star of Restoration 1894 is Michele, the venue manager and day-of coordinator. She is so warm and friendly, and immediately makes you feel at home. She also was SUCH a big help on the day of our wedding, coordinating with the caterer, DJ and other vendors so you don't have to worry about answering your phone to questions of \"How do I get in?\" or \"Where do I park?\" on your wedding day. Michele was such a blessing and made our day run so smoothly!Also, my husband and I got married during the summer of 2020 (during the COVID-19 pandemic), and Michele was so supportive and accommodating throughout the whole planning process. She kept us updated on county regulations, helped us enforce whatever COVID guidelines we felt comfortable with at the wedding, and even sourced professionals to serve our buffet when we decided that having everyone touch the same serving utensils wasn't a good idea! We were able to pull off the wedding we had dreamed of, even during a pandemic, with the help of Michele and Restoration 1894. I will always be forever grateful that they helped us create some great memories in 2020, in both a fun and safe way!We also took her recommendation of a photographer (Michelle Kabrick), and were so impressed with how beautifully our photos turned out! Tour Restoration 1894 and meet Michele - you won't regret it!

MUST READ! I cannot say enough about this space!! I was a “Covid Bride” planning a small-ish wedding of 70 people this July. When my original venue informed me only 5 weeks out from our wedding date that we could have no more than 20 people due to their square footage I was scrambling to find a new space. Michele was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. She has a huge heart and immediately wanted to help me. In the end it was a total blessing!! This space is GORGEOUS. The groom’s room & bridal suite are fantastic and made for a stress free pre-wedding gathering. The exposed brick and building made for gorgeous photos as well!

From the moment I walked in to Restoration 1894, Michele (the Venue Manager) made me believe the wedding of my dreams was possible! She took our budget and timeline and helped us pull off the perfect day! The venue itself is beautiful...high ceilings, wooden floors, windows overlooking the Liberty Square...and immaculately clean! There was easy elevator access for the caterer and for loading/unloading the decor. On top of the awesome space, Michele was a total cheerleader! She was super easy to work with, had great recommendation for other vendors (DJ, catering, photography), and was very helpful in keeping the day of the wedding stress free and flowing as planning! I can’t recommend Restoration 1894 enough, book it!

As a guest, this venue was perfect! There was not a bad seat in the house for either the wedding ceremony or reception, and I never felt crowded or cramped even with close to 200 guests. The staff were friendly and very efficient and I noticed that the restrooms were clean and kept tidy all evening. The decor and bones of the building are beautiful and the space seems quite flexible for many types of events. I've attended several events here and can't wait to get to the next one!

What a beautiful evening and flawless event we enjoyed -- all courtesy of Michele and all of the amazing professional staff at Restoration 1894!The venue space is so rich with such wonderful historic architectural details -- Palladian and bay windows, warm wood floors and brick walls, an intricate and beautiful antique tin ceiling -- all overlooking the historic Liberty town square. With these details and the candlelight flickering, the setting was just magical. What a wonderful space for a very special evening and for some beautiful photo memories.As far as the service, Michele is amazing. She's very professional, yet has a warm and friendly way about her that sets the tone for all of the staff and for the evening! There were 200 people at our event, but the staff took care of us as if we were guests in their homes. The service was very efficient and professional -- waters refilled frequently, plates cleared quickly, etc. -- but it was all done in a warm and personable way that made the evening feel a lot more relaxed and enjoyable compared to the experience at a typical banquet. The event space, town-square setting, and skilled staff at Restoration 1894 make it a space where distractions seem to fall away. What a beautiful place to celebrate a special event with friends and family!

WOW! First of all, what a gorgeous venue. Restoration 1894 if located on the Liberty Square and has all of the charm of an old building with updated features, making it one of the most gorgeous venues I have ever seen. Working with Michelle was an absolute pleasure. She is the best! She went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect. From the initial consultation meeting to when we left the reception, Michelle was there making sure every detail was in place. I was able to relax and enjoy my special day because I knew Michelle had everything under control. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone who is getting married in the future!

We absolutely loved Restoration 1894! The venue is gorgeous and so well kept. The Manager, Michelle, is wonderful. She has so much knowledge about all things wedding reception! Michelle is fantastic at customer service and she really cares that your day is the best it can be! Michelle went above and beyond to make our experience an enjoyable one! The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5 is because of the alcohol situation. You are required to go through one company only if you want alcohol at your event. Top Shelf Bartending KC was a nightmare to book for our event. I called several times and no one answered the phone, so I used their websites’ “contact us” option and never got a reply. I finally got ahold of them on a Monday and got the ball rolling. I let Michelle know what had transpired and the owner, Erin, emailed me directly. I was thankful Michelle wanted to make sure we had great service. Erin was completely unprofessional and accusatory in her emails and tried to blame me for her company not answering the phone and supposedly not getting my “contact us” email via her website. She informed me that they don’t answer the phone on Saturday (this isn’t advertised anywhere) and that is the “only reason” they wouldn’t answer the phone. The hateful way she communicated was beyond distasteful and I would never have used her business, but I had no option. Restoration 1894 is exclusive with this alcohol vendor only- you can not bring your own alcohol. They are over priced!! My advice would be for Restoration to go through the expense and licensing to allow guests to bring alcohol, or to find a better and more respectful alcohol company to host events. I will never use top shelf again and if that is my only option at 1894, then I won’t have my events held there. I love the space and the management at Restoration 1894, but the alcohol situation is enough to make me choose another venue for other large events that I will have in the future.

I love the space and the management at Restoration 1894, but the alcohol situation is enough to make me choose another venue for other large events that I will have in the future.

Michelle, the manager, was so very easy to work with! She was with me as mom of the bride every step of the way. The venue itself is beautiful and very accommodating. It has all the amenities anyone in the bridal party or a guest would need. I highly recommend Restoration 1894.

When we went on venue tours for our reception, Restoration 1894 was scheduled as our first stop. After the visit, we debated about even going to the rest of the venues on our list, because we were absolutely blown away. The space itself was gorgeous and beautifully romantic, and the accommodations that the venue provided were perfect for the day! However, what really sold us was our communication with Michele from the first second we walked in, until we closed down the venue after our big night. We never worried about a thing , because she seamlessly communicated with everyone involved with our wedding planning to make our day incredible. She even ended up doing our floral arrangements for our reception, which surpassed our every expectation! If we were to do it all over again, we wouldn't change a thing!

Michelle at Restoration was incredible to us! My wife and I had an earlier \"Brunch Wedding\" here and let me tell you, Michelle does not do mornings and she did for us! She went above and beyond for us and from the get go was very helpful, very upfront and truthful and we couldn't have appreciated it more. Michelle was very easy to work with and when my wife and I needed a break, Michelle was understanding and was willing to work with us. The space itself is astonishing. Truly truly truly a remarkable building. Right in the heart of downtown Liberty, there were tons of places to take pictures both inside and outside of the venue. Our favorite part though by far was this huge, open window at the front of the space overlooking the square. It was beautiful.

What a stunner!Growing up with a mom who owns her own flower shop, I was exposed to hundreds of weddings. So when it came to planning my own, I was meticulous with every detail to ensure they were the perfect reflection of my husband and I’s personality. Even before I was engaged, the renovations being made to this space caught my eye and would always make me think, “This would be a great option for a wedding reception someday”. I loved the hardwood floors, exposed brick, classic white wainscot, tin ceiling and huge windows that welcomed every ounce of sunlight. Once we were engaged and started talking date options, I immediately sent an email to Restoration 1894 – praying they had availability. I immediately received a sweet response from Michele confirming the space was open and available for a viewing. With my family in-tow, we toured the space and I immediately knew this would be the setting for my wedding reception. (It was the first and only space we looked at). I can’t say enough wonderful things about the space, but most importantly Michele. She was an absolute dream and the venue is so incredibly blessed to have her! She made my wedding day absolutely perfect! Because of her attention to detail, organization and overall personality – I was able to truly be a bride on my wedding day. If you are bride looking for a venue – take the time to meet with Michele. It will be time well spent!

When we got close to time, all our vendors talked about how they had already been in contact with Michele and she had everything set for us. I don't think our wedding could have gone smoother and we always felt like Michele had us covered.The facility is gorgeous. It is classy and rustic. Very high ceilings makes it feel open even with a large group. The East Room is also worth it. It gives people a place to go that is quieter and lets them catch their breath. We got so many comments on how beautiful the building itself was.

From immediately stepping into Restoration 1894’s Building, we were simply blown away; we KNEW it was “the one.” On top of the venue being jaw-droppingly modern & gorgeous - with a bride’s room, a groom’s room, a stunning staircase, wood floors, brick walls, and a stunning tin ceiling - Michele made our ENTIRE wedding process run a whole lot smoother; she recommended us our DJ & Officiant (KC Mobile DJ - Derek & Justin), our catering (Blue Springs HyVee - Wanda), our floral (Shelley Rundberg @ Couture Wedding Flowers) and our alcohol company (TopShelf) - and let me tell you, her doing so made our lives SO much easier! By the night of our wedding, I felt like I had known Michele my entire life. She absolutely went above & beyond to ensure our wedding day was perfect; all thanks to her, it was. We had a small (90-guest) winter wedding at this venue, and I couldn't have been happier. The venue is lovely and requires very little in terms of decoration. We brought flowers and candles for the windows, and that was just perfect. In fact, my favorite thing about the venue is how easy Michele makes the whole process. I'm not much of a planner, and I was intimidated by planning a wedding. Michele gave us solid recommendations and thought of positively everything, so my mom and I ended up following her advice--and we were so glad we did! Not only did everything go perfectly smoothly, but we had the freedom and confidence to breathe and enjoy the process because we weren't running around trying to solve one problem after another. Highly recommend the venue, Michele's advice, and Wanda at Hyvee (another of Michele's recommendations).

The chairs are beautiful and Michelle had everything ready to go the day before so we could set up. The bride and groom room are beautiful and so much fun to use. They are protected with locks during the ceremony, which was really nice. There is an elevator for vendors and Michelle was incredibly helpful with recommending vendors. I appreciated being able to decorate the hall myself the day before and Michelle was great in coordinating that. There were a couple things I would caution couples looking at this site - if you want a crowd of >130, you definitely need the additional room (which is not included in the original cost) and would not recommend more than 150-160 total, because we did not want to break down tables to dance. The parking situation was unfortunate, as the bridal party was incorrectly told where to park and several people missed part of the reception to move cars. I wish there was a designated site for parking, other than just on the square, especially for the bridal party. Finally, be careful when talking to your caterers, as the kitchen is not great for making or keeping food warm, as it is smaller.

Restoration 1894 was truly the perfect venue for us this fall for our wedding! If you are looking for a venue that has class, history, and pure beauty that can accommodate your party, this is absolutely the place! The tin ceilings, the exposed brick, the lighting, the windows, the space, the historic value, even the carpet and drapery were all so beautiful! Michelle was so accommodating and easy to work with throughout the whole year of our engagement. She helped with recommendations for vendors, had great communication with us, and was so kind and so sweet throughout the entire process! Anytime I had a question she was quick to respond and helpful with ideas. She was great with my vendors and made my day feel special with accommodating our needs and welcoming us to 1894 as if she were welcoming us into her own home. The staff she provided for our day were exceptional and helped to create the space we needed for our day. She even came out to see us on our wedding day through an incredibly large storm and we were so grateful she came to congratulate us on our day! Michelle and the staff made us feel very special on our day. All of the staff at 1894 were so wonderful to work with and it truly was a beautiful space that worked really well with our 202 guests plus wedding party and for a great price. The seating arrangement that was made for us was perfect and we had plenty of space for our dance floor with our sweetheart table. The east room and the bridal/groom suites were perfect for space and I would definitely recommend utilizing them as they were not only beautiful, but spacious. It was definitely a magical day and the space and staff provided by 1894 made our day filled with so many memories! Thank you all so much for providing a space for our perfect day!

This is the best venue in the area. Absolutely beautiful decor from the exposed brick, tin ceiling tiles and gorgeous chandeliers to the elegant staircase for the bride to enter upon. The spacious bride/groom suites provide everything for young couples to enjoy their preparation time before the event. This venue is so beautiful that you willl not need to add any decorations other than the bride and groom! Michele is flexible to work with and obviously enjoys her job.

Where do I begin to write a review on Restoration 1894! The venue is beautiful. The exposed brick walls, tin ceiling and beautiful hardwood floors are a perfect setting. We held a reception for our son and daughter-in-law who live and were married in FL 6 weeks prior. When I began planning this event, I simply told Michele the date, and she took it from there! The event went off without a hitch and was the perfect evening. From the venue, the caterer, the flowers and the bartender, Michele planned it all and it was perfect. Thanks, Michele for all you did!

This venue was spectacular! Michele, the venue manager, made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. She kept great communication with me leading up to my wedding day and I had no worries. The Bridal suite was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and an ideal place to get ready. The location is on Liberty square which is a really charming area in Liberty and nice for pictures. I love the original tin ceilings and the wood floors and chandeliers and tall windows and just the story in general behind restoration 1894. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone wanting a classy wedding in a charming location.

This was for our daughter's Sweet 16/Adoption celebration and it could not have gone more smoothly. I personally work with about 40-60 different venues each year as a vendor and Restoration 1894 is by far one of my favorites from a vendor's point of view and a client's point of view.Michele is always accommodating and responsive. One of a handful of venues I recommend to all my clients.

We're working with Michele at Restoration 1894 for our upcoming event. The building and event space is absolutely gorgeous and one of a kind. There is a beautiful grand staircase leading up into the main event space and I absolutely love the hardwood floors and the pressed tin ceiling, which adds the perfect amount of charm! What has helped to make our event planning so easy has been working with Michele. She is extremely kind and has been very accommodating to our schedules. She knows her stuff and I am so happy to have her as a resource prior to our event and during the event as well!

So far, our experiences with Restoration 1894 have been great. The venue is unique and stunning. Michele has been extremely helpful and accommodating with the vision of our wedding, allowing us to open up an adjoining room and set up bar tables and lounge furniture. They have a great list of vendors and the process has been easy to get through, which is a breath of fresh air during, what can be, a very stressful time. The bride and groom suites are what sold me on the space, though. They are secured during the reception, so we have a place for our valuables, and provide several amenities that other venues did not - several mirrors for getting ready, a separate bathroom, lots of lighting, etc. We can't wait to celebrate at Restoration 1894!
