Richmond Marriott Short Pump Reviews
Kate Martelino(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2020 Heather was amazing from start to finish!! The Marriott was the first, and only, venue that we looked at. As soon as we toured and met with Heather, we knew that it was perfect and exactly what we wanted. We started planning our wedding in March of 2019, before anyone knew that COVID would be here. As soon as COVID became an issue and places started to shut down, she reached out to us to let us know where they stood (in April, and our wedding was in August). My (now) husband is in the military and we really couldn't reschedule due to the fact that he had already had this date approved 8 months out. We explained this to Heather and she said that as long as we could follow state guidelines, they would be able to make it work. We had to make a ton of changes due to COVID, but there is no one else I would have wanted to work with. They did whatever it took to make sure we were able to have our wedding and be safe about it, which we greatly appreciated. We met with her on almost a weekly basis leading up to the wedding, and the week of the wedding, we met with her twice to finalize the details. We dropped off a luggage cart full of items for them to put out and she listened intently and did everything that we asked. On the day of the wedding, she helped me sneak out of the hotel so no guests saw me before we got to the church. She stayed through the wedding to make sure that everything was going as planned. She communicated with my other vendors leading up to and the day of the wedding. Everyone at the Marriott was so friendly to all of our guests and we really highly recommend them as a place to have your wedding! You cannot go wrong with the Marriott!!! Reviewed on 01-09-2020
Stephanie Engstrand(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2016 We sel cited the Marriott because 80% of our guests would be from out of town, we wanted an indoor venue, and it was important to my groom and I that we wouldn't have to worry about anything day of. We signed up really early, before they had finished the remodel. In the year before the wedding, sometimes it was hard to get questions answered, as we were not top priority compared to more imminent events. But when we were within the two month mark, it was never a problem. They promised to handle everything for day of with a coordinator, and they did. I nor my backups never got a call from a vendor that day asking questions. The food was good, service was decent, and our guests were impressed with how \"nice\" the hotel was. Parents and grandparents got some unexpected VIP treatment too. Melieka and Heather also went above and beyond to help us come up with a contingency plan if we couldn't leave the hotel for the church due to Hurricane Matthew, and if the power went out, Reviewed on 26-10-2016
Kate Ferguson(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-06-2015 Although the hotel was undergoing renovations and the entrance of the hotel was under construction, the ballroom where we held our reception was newly renovated and gorgeous! The event coordinator went out of her way to help us in anyway she could throughout the process. The service was outstanding and our reception was everything we could have hoped for! Erin Casey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-09-2013 It was really nice finding somewhere my guests would be comfortable, but Richmond Marriott West was the one! I toured the rooms and appreciated the decor, cleanliness, and attention from the staff. All of my guests were pleased! Reviewed on 24-09-2013
Leatrice Strickland(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-08-2012 The pros of having my wedding at this venue was convenience. It was near the wedding location, they offered discount rates for guest, and the food tasted great. It was easy to let the Marriott do all the work and set up which they did an excellent job. Cons where the price per plate. Very expensive, but I guess you get what you pay for. Reviewed on 28-08-2012
Barbara Bales(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2011 This is a fairly new hotel near the mall and my guests were happy there. We received a group rate for booking with them ahead of time. Reviewed on 17-12-2011
