Oh my gosh, I can't say how great this place was. Skylar and Lydia were there every step of the way. I'm definitely the least \"bridezilla\" person, but I feel like my laid back attitude actually made their job more difficult! But they directed me well. The \"one stop shop\" helped tremendously, and the food was all anyone could take about (other than the... you know... wedding). I actually didn't even try the food until the night of the wedding as I live out of town... but it was AMAZING. Their staff was so kind, and everyone just felt at home. There was also one woman working there (unfortunately I completely forgot her name) that has been there for years and years. She helped with things that weren't even CLOSE to her job. She brought my husband and I food, kept our wine glasses full, helped with my bustle... everyone there just made our lives so easy.10/10 would recommend.

The Riverview Room is the epitome of a New Orleans Wedding Venue. The view over the Mississippi River and French Quarter were breathtaking. The food selection was delicious and fresh, all made by the NOLA School of Cooking. The staff (Skylar, Lydia, and Issac) was diligent in communicating with us as we did not have a wedding planner. During the reception, there was an attendant at each food station as well as staff who were making sure the room was kept clean. There was never a line at the bar! Our guests felt very comfortable parking in the Jax Lot next to the Riverview Room. The venue knows what it is doing from start to finish. We would highly recommend the Riverview Room to anyone who is considering it!

The staff at the Riverview Room made our perfect wedding come true! I had many guests saying we had the best wedding of all time (or at least that they had attended) and we agree. First off the food was exceptional! We were able to work with the RVR to customize the food and flow of the evening, going off of script from their normal menu and adding things like oyster shuckers and a fresh praline action station as a late night dessert. Chef Melissa even came out to wish us well at the end of the night. Regarding location and environment, it canât be beat - we were married in the Cathedral, second-lined to RVR and all the guests walked into the beautiful room overlooking the Mississippi River. The whole experience was wonderful!

ALL YOU BRIDES LOOKING FOR AN AUTHENTIC NEW ORLEANS WEDDING STOP RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THIS IS THE PERFECT VENUE. From the ambience of the city, the jazz music playing down the streets during our ceremony, and the authentic New Orleans cuisine.. the RiverView Room is the perfect place to celebrate love, family, unity, and fun. Never in my wildest dreams did I think my idea of a perfect wedding in my head would become a reality, but it did. There are not enough words to describe how much FUN we had having our wedding here. We had guests who recently got married and told us âdarn, this was better than our weddingâ. The food, the dancing, the venue⊠a dream come true. My coordinator Skylar was IMPECCABLY punctual, organized, hilarious, fun, and created a beautiful flow of events for the evening. I seriously want to be her best friend, along with every single staff member at this venue. I am seriously searching for something else to celebrate just so I can book this venue over and over again. Now, back to the food. Delicious is an understatement. My guests were trying to bring Tupperware up just so they could take some food home.. Iâm pretty sure some of them did lol. Every. Single. Dish. Was. TO DIE FOR. I wish they would open a RiverView room restaurant because I would be their number one customer. As an out of town bride, planning can be stressful and communication can seem sporadic⊠not with this venue. Every ridiculous question at any time of the day, was answered QUICKLY. Even when I thought my question was silly or insignificant, the RiverView team assured me all my questions were valid. I cannot say enough kind words. Oh my goodness!!! Words cannot describe how I absolutely loved having my wedding here. With Elizabeth, Keitra and the lovely Skylar they made me feel like family in the planning process. On the actual wedding date the staff it itâs entirety was ah-mazing!!! If I was to do it all over again I would with the exact same people and place. I currently live in Chicago but the communication was if I lived up the street. I highly recommend for not only your wedding/reception but every occasion.

The Riverview Room is the perfect place to throw a big, New Orleans party wedding! The location is PERFECT (close to everything buzzy), especially for out of town guests! We loved working with Elizabeth, Keitra, and our attendants the day-of were phenomenal, throughout the entire planning process - they even helped me find my phone the next day when I left it at the venue on our wedding night (further shows how much fun we had!) Our parents on the day of raved about how well taken care of they felt by the attendants. Everyone loved the food and the space. They did a wonderful job making sure everything was exactly how I had envisioned. Inside tip: make sure that you book your tasting right when you book the space - there is one per quarter and that way you can make sure you can plan accordingly! We would not change a thing about our amazing day, thanks to all of the effort and care the Riverview Room staff provided. Thank you, Riverview Room!

PERFECT! WONDERFUL! BEAUTIFUL! I don't think we could say enough good things about The RVR. When we first walked into the venue to tour, we immediately said we could \"picture ourselves here.\" Elizabeth was wonderful to email and plan with. Mandi helped us with all the details and Skylar was a fantastic attendant! The views from the terrace and balconies over looking the river and city are unbelievably dreamy and made for great photos! Between the murals painted on the walls, the hard wood floors, white ceiling, white carpet, and large windows- every corner of the room is gorgeous. We used almost all the decor they offered because everything just flowed together so nicely- that was a bonus for us because we didn't have to purchase and coordinate added decor. The RVR crew offers a food tasting a few times a year which was a fun and valuable experience so we could choose some food options for our reception. Our guests said they loved the champagne wall before the ceremony and raved about the food! We added the bananas foster station, and even though the attendants brought some to us on the dance floor, we wished it could have been more of an \"event\" for us to watch and get pictures with, as a lot of our guests said they missed it. We got married in early June and knew it would be hot so we supplied paper fans for our guests- which they reported back they appreciated. Our bridal party said it was hot but not as bad as they thought it would be. Our ceremony was for 6PM and lasted about 20 minutes. When the ceremony ended and we returned outside for family pictures, it was about 6:30-6:45 and it immediately felt cooler as the sun went down so consider your ceremony time. We felt the cost of the entire venue was more than what we originally wanted to pay, but looking back, we wouldn't change a thing and everything was so worth it! Thank you RVR team for making our night the best night of our lives! We absolutely loved it and appreciate all your effort!

I looked at so many places when trying to find a venue, and the Riverview Room was perfect! Elizabeth was wonderful to work with, and they made everything so easy! Everything from the food which they catered to the room decor was perfect! They are so flexible when it comes to last minute changes in case of rain. The view of the river was beautiful along with the rooftop view of the city!They made everything so perfect and I highly recommend them if you are trying to find your perfect wedding venue!

Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Riverview Room. The guest have raved about the food and during the planning process the communication was pretty quick. The only complaint that I have is in regards to the personal attendant that was assigned to my husband and I. She met us downstairs when we arrived and asked us for our drink orders and explained she would be taking care of us the whole night. However, that was the last time I saw her. Our wedding coordinator was also annoyed with her and there were countless times I had to go to the bar myself or have to track someone down to get me a piece of cake or food. That definitely put a small damper on an otherwise wonderful night.

We had a Destination Wedding in New Orleans so we were looking for a venue that offered a great location, had local charm, if possible had a nice view and had inside and outside options since the weather can be unpredictable. Riverview Room has it all! Most importantly their team was great and all of our guests raved about the amazing customer service they received during the reception.

Our wedding was so magical at Riverview Room! The venue itself is beautiful but the staff and food are what makes is so amazing! Elizabeth was wonderful to work with and helped us create a menu that worked within our budget while still showcasing an authentic New Orleans culinary experience. Months later, our guests are still talking about the oysters, shrimp & grits and gouda mashed potatoes! The day of our wedding, Mandy and her team made sure everything was flawless. I can't recommend the Riverview Room enough! We had our ceremony and reception there in July. From our first interaction with the sales team, to the big day, we had a great experience with everyone at the Riverview Room. We booked the venue sight unseen as we live out of state. The location is in the heart of the French Quarter with amazing views of the river and Jackson Square.

From our first interaction with the sales team, to the big day, we had a great experience with everyone at the Riverview Room. We booked the venue sight unseen as we live out of state. Event with hurricane Ida hitting 2 months to the day before our wedding, they made it happen. Damage was fixed or covered by our date. One window was covered with pipe and drape and we turned it into our photo booth back drop! Shiree and Stanton were so attentive the entire night for us and our parents. The night ran so smoothly because of them.

The staff at the Riverview Room were fabulous! They took everything we dropped off and had it exactly how we envisioned.Our ceremony was moved inside due to rain and they set up quickly to get started. The food was wonderful! They broke everything down during send off and we were ready to load our cars right after. Liz was great in serving the bride and groom and parents with food , beverage and anything they needed. The staff at the Riverview Room were fabulous! They took everything we dropped off and had it exactly how we envisioned.Our ceremony was moved inside due to rain and they set up quickly to get started. The food was wonderful! They broke everything down during send off and we were ready to load our cars right after. Liz was great in serving the bride and groom and parents with food , beverage and anything they needed. I would highly recommend using this venue. Thanks so much for making our night special!

The ladies at the Riverview Room are so helpful. I just got married at the Riverview Room on July 11, 2021. Right when the wedding was supposed to start, it started down pouring on the balcony, and the Riverview Room moved everything inside. We got started only 10 minutes past schedule. The venue itself is beautiful inside and out.. but I cannot speak highly enough of all of the workers who work so hard to make your wedding day so smooth & stress free! All the guests also raved about how good the food was & how beautiful the venue is.

Honestly, our wedding could not have gone any smoother, even during a pandemic. Carmela and Elizabeth worked with us constantly to make sure our wedding was as close to perfect as possible. I had to think long and hard before writing this review. I wanted to give it 5 stars so bad, but I just couldn't. Something to keep in mind, I did have my wedding during a pandemic so that obviously changes things.Pros:*Our wedding was paid in full, we were a few weeks out and then BAM, the Stay at Home order was issued. RVR was very accommodating and allowed us to move our date twice with no issue.* The venue itself is wonderful. The ceremony on the terrace was magical and the views are amazing. I loved that there were so many balconies so people had many options on where they could spend their time. The layout of the place is great and was perfect during Covid because people could really spread out.*The food was amazing (or so my guests tell me lol)*Elizabeth and the rest of the sales team were pleasant to work with even during the tough timesCon:*The venue coordinator I feel terrible even saying this, but there were just too many things that were not as we discussed. My guests had a great time and everything was perfect in their eyes, but I was bothered by the details that were out of place.1. Since we had to lower our guest count, we had to find a way to compensate for all the money we already paid. One of our options was to bring out a late night snack. The coordinator suggested po-boys and beignets. None of my guests can recall the late night po-boys, but the venue said they were passed out. I am 100% sure there were no beignets. The venue said that it was not in our contract. It was not in our contract because somebody dropped the ball.2. Through many meetings and discussions with Carmela, we had agreed on doing the sparkler exit into the second line. This was discussed many times. The night of the wedding, about 30 minutes until it ended, my own personal planner approaches me to ask if I wanted to do the sparkler OR second line exit. Very confusing. I ended up just doing the second line to save time, but that was not what I wanted nor what we had spent a year and a half planning!3. The welcome tables and guest tables were not set up to my specifications. In the back of a guest photo I can literally see a cardboard box just out on top the welcome table. I also saw that a bag of glow sticks was just sitting out on the table with our engagement pictures. WTF. I trusted whomever to set these things up in a nice display. It doesn't look like much effort was put forth.4. The coordinator was so forgetful. We had a Zoom meeting scheduled a week before that she completely forgot about. This wasn't the first time she forgot about a meeting either. The day of the wedding she texted my planner wondering what beer I chose. I got asked on the day of my wedding what beer I was supposed to have. I know we discussed it & I saw her write it down. She forgot that the musicians were supposed to have a heater until we reminded her after arriving. She also had my cakes set up in the wrong spot. They were supposed to be in the middle to make a lounge area in the corner. This was not done correctly either. That's not the end of it either, but I'll stop there.I know it may seem like I am nit picking but that's only because when so much time, effort, and money is spent on something, you want it to be perfect. I know I'm lucky they even allowed me to have my event, but I had to write this review to let other brides know to be cautious in working with the venue coordinator. I didn't even see her the day of! Weird.

The staff at the Riverview Room went above and beyond for us. We had our ceremony and reception and it couldn't have been more beautiful. We had to postpone a few times due to Covid-19, original plans had to change from season to season, but the staff couldn't have been better at making the process a little less stressful and producing an even more beautiful product than I could have imagined. From the gorgeous views of the river and the city, to the delicious food, to the amazingly friendly staff, it was the most beautiful day of our lives thus far.

You should definitely get married at the Riverview Room. The whole team there is great and made our ceremony and reception everything we imagined plus so much more. The sales team was truly amazing. They were kind and not pushy during our first tour. It was the last venue we visited and both the space and staff blew everything else out of the water. We also booked our venue about a year before our wedding and they were kind enough to let us come by and bring my mother-in-law from out of town for a second tour, which was such an important part of making her feel welcomed in the wedding process. The awesome tasting we attended solidified that we made the right choice. Staff was there during the planning to help us answer questions (we found phone calls to be quicker than emails). They were honest with their advice, which is helpful during the planning process when it can feel like everyone is just telling you yes. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, the Riverview Room was accomodating of our menu and schedule changes. The last month was the easiest of all! Of course, the space was perfect on the day of the wedding. Our rooftop ceremony was gorgeous and the reception was beautiful. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Our family of New Orleans locals was impressed, which says a lot. The balconies provide a ton of space for people to spread out but be near one another. The staff at the Riverview Room totally wowed us too. Our bridal attendant made sure we ate and always had a fresh drink in our hands. She helped me change for our departure and was reassuring the whole night. The waiters and bartenders were incredibly kind to all of our guests. They were everywhere when we needed them but never in the way. And most importantly, they seemed happy to be there and to be having fun (no one wants to feel like they're bothering someone, but these folks went above and beyond to make conversation with all of our guests). And of course the location in French Quarter made it the perfect place to end the night with a second line. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else.

They all helped me, my husband, and my family throughout the entire planning process and they were quick to respond to questions. We loved this place not only because of the beautiful views, but also for the amazingly open layout. The layout of the place really helps the crowd to see and interact with each other best. This venue also stood out to us because they did all of their cooking in house and the day of (my guests could not stop talking about the delicious souther food) and the wedding coordinator came with the booking. I cannot stress enough how great Mandy was the night before and of. This review took me longer than it should have to write because I am still emotional ( happy tears) with how influential this venue and this staff was to making our wedding day perfect. I feel overwhelmed with happiness that I had the chance to work with these people and how we felt like our day meant so much them as well as to us. I had to cut this review from 1 whole page to a a couple paragraphs so that people would read it but hands down the staff and venue were amazing!From our first conversation with Elizabeth we knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding. We booked the venue without even traveling down prior thatâs how comfortable she made us feel and I am glad we did. We planned our wedding from out of state and there is now way I could have done the planning process without Mandy and Isaac. They were responsive and informative and made me feel heard and at ease. I knew I could trust them in the process and they didnât shy away from stepping up to any task. Chef Tom and our bridal and parent attendants ensured that our big day went smoothly they worked magic all night and were there for us the entire time. From the rehersal to show time they were there for us the entire time! There wasnât 1 hiccup the entire night. THE VENUE IS STUNNING. We went with white, simple, greenery gold and small candles and it was PERFECT since the venue itself is so beautiful. The views of the river and off the balcony are so perfect there is no venue that could recreate them. There wasnât much more decor we needed to add which I loved. Our food and alcohol packages were amazing and I loved every appetizer and entrĂ©e we tried. If the Riverview Room is available for your big day you will not be disappointed. I was an overwhelmed and overworked bride and they gave me the only thing I could hope for - some peace. I knew they had me covered. They know what theyâre doing and they are handling it perfectly. Day of, I never had to worry. I just had to show up. The food was delicious!! And the two women that were helping us out all night were absolutely FABULOUS. From the very first moment i stepped foot in Riverview Room i knew it would be the place that we would get married. We were greeted by Isaac and we instantly fell in love with not only the venue itself, but the knowledgeable, fun, and kind staff! My mom and I canceled the rest of our venue appointments after our tour, if that tells any brides (especially destination) how amazing my first impression was. I knew being a destination bride was going to be difficult, but i was overwhelmed by how easy everyone at Riverview room made it for me. From the sweet card and candle i got in the mail after choosing Riverview Room, to the morning after the wedding retrieving our stuff from the venue, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT(and easy.) The food tastings that they host serve and display some of their most popular menu items (but i canât imagine there being a bad thing on the menu!) if you can make it to one of those i highly recommend it (if you canât.. make sure you choose the corn and crab bisque and lamb pops - our guests are STILL talking about those.) Mandy made everything so incredibly easy. She was patient with all my questions, she was always willing to offer a helpful suggestion, and she was just over all incredible. Our ceremony was supposed to start at 6 oâclock and right at 5:50 it started raining and all of our guests came in. She came to me and asked me what i wanted to do because i knew that the backup plan was to have it inside. She knew that i wanted it outside so i asked her if we could hold off until 6:15 and if it hadnât stopped raining then we would move it inside.... and asked if we could open the bar :) well she made it happen! Opened the bar and she notified our guests that the wedding would proceed at 6:15! When i tell yâall these folks are there for the bride and groom, THEY ARE THERE FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM!!! They are amazing! They had attendants for us and attendants for our parents and we never had an empty drink in our hand. My mother in law has not stopped telling people about it! I honestly could go on and on and on about how amazing our wedding was all thanks to Mandy, Isaac, and the staff at Riverview room!!

My mom and I canceled the rest of our venue appointments after our tour, if that tells any brides (especially destination) how amazing my first impression was. I knew being a destination bride was going to be difficult, but i was overwhelmed by how easy everyone at Riverview room made it for me. From the sweet card and candle i got in the mail after choosing Riverview Room, to the morning after the wedding retrieving our stuff from the venue, EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT(and easy.) The food tastings that they host serve and display some of their most popular menu items (but i canât imagine there being a bad thing on the menu!) if you can make it to one of those i highly recommend it (if you canât.. make sure you choose the corn and crab bisque and lamb pops - our guests are STILL talking about those.) Mandy made everything so incredibly easy. She was patient with all my questions, she was always willing to offer a helpful suggestion, and she was just over all incredible. Our ceremony was supposed to start at 6 oâclock and right at 5:50 it started raining and all of our guests came in. She came to me and asked me what i wanted to do because i knew that the backup plan was to have it inside. She knew that i wanted it outside so i asked her if we could hold off until 6:15 and if it hadnât stopped raining then we would move it inside.... and asked if we could open the bar :) well she made it happen! Opened the bar and she notified our guests that the wedding would proceed at 6:15! When i tell yâall these folks are there for the bride and groom, THEY ARE THERE FOR THE BRIDE AND GROOM!!! They are amazing! They had attendants for us and attendants for our parents and we never had an empty drink in our hand. My mother in law has not stopped telling people about it! I honestly could go on and on and on about how amazing our wedding was all thanks to Mandy, Isaac, and the staff at Riverview room!!

My wedding was on 5/26/19 at the Riverview Room. From the moment we decided on the Riverview Room, everything was a breeze! We planned our wedding from out of state and Mandy and Issac do such a great job of always answering the phone when I call and helping me out with any question or request that I had. They truly made our wedding planning experience an easy one! We had our ceremony and reception at the Riverview Room and it was an absolute dream! We had 200 guests with many having never been to New Orleans before. It is the perfect place to have a wedding with a classic New Orleans vibe. The outdoor balcony is so beautiful. The views of the French Quarter and the river are spectacular. The reception space is perfect size and looks absolutely amazing since the new renovations. Everyone made sure our reception ran smooth and it was a blast! My family, the groom and I were never empty handed with drinks because of the lovely attendants provided. I have guests still raving about how amazing the food was. We are still getting comments from guests on how awesome the space was and how much fun everyone had! Overall our experience with the Riverview Room was perfect and I would recommend it to anyone!

My wedding was 3.9.19 at the Riverview Room, and we used both the outdoor space for the ceremony and the indoor space for the reception. I cannot speak highly enough about Mandy and the rest of the Riverview Room team. They made sure that everything ran so smoothly. If anything went wrong, I had no idea because to me, it was perfect. Mandy was so professional from the beginning, and made us feel at ease as she took the roles of coordinating the rehearsal, setting up times with our vendors, dropping off wedding day koozies, guest book, and day of items. She really stepped in as a \"day of coordinator\" to make sure that we didn't have to worry about the little things leading up to the big day. The food was amazing and the view of the city was perfect. The attendants made sure that we ate, that we always had a drink in our hand, and that we knew where to go when, whether it was for a group picture, cake cutting, flower toss, etc. We also did a sparkler exit which was coordinated by the venue. Even after the wedding, when one of my guests had lost a phone the night before, Mandy looked tirelessly and kept in touch with us until it was found. She is a gem! The only downside to this venue, which is totally unpreventable, if there are loud car noises or music on the street, you might be able to hear it during the outdoor ceremony. During our rehearsal, one of the cars below was playing very loudly \"Going to the Chapel of Love\" which actually turned out to be awesome :) To sum it up, we had the most perfect night of our lives, and we heard from so many guests afterwards that it was the best wedding they had been to, and that is all thanks to the staff. Do yourself a favor and book the RR!!!

When having a February wedding in New Orleans, there are many variables which change daily especially the weather. It was important for us to find a venue which was as pretty outside as inside and the Riverview Room did not disappoint us. The views of the city are spectacular. The wedding was at 4 pm so we were able to see the city turn from day to night which was an added bonus. Our wedding coordinator Mandy Lee was very professional and made everything come together with ease. From the first day she met with us, she handled all the details and was always available to answer questions and solve any issues which arose. She answered emails quickly and assured us everything was taken care of. She also met with all of our vendors and when we arrived to the venue she was waiting for the bride to help with her dress which was a dad's big concern. She and her staff were there for the bride and the groom as well as their families throughout the evening. She ran the rehearsal and made sure everyone understood where they were suppose to be and what was expected of them which can be difficult when you have a large wedding party. I can't praise her enough. She made the whole experience a dream come true for the bride. The food also was delicious. We had many out of town guests who fell in love with the crab bisque, the shrimp etouffee, and the glazed ham. If you have meat lovers the lamb lollipops were cooked perfectly. The wait and bar staff were friendly. We also had a praline station which was a treat for out of town quests. Seeing pralines made from scratch and eating them fresh is very unique to New Orleans. One of our main concerns was how the second line would take place leaving the venue and ending at our hotel. Mandy met the brass band coordinated their arrival upstairs at the reception and it went off without a hitch. She also made sure our party favors which were the fluer-di lis handkerchiefs for the second line and the to go cups were given to the guests and placed at the open bar at just the right time. From the moment we chose the Riverview Room to the completion of our daughter's wedding and reception the entire staff was amazing. The venue and the staff exceeded our expectations on all levels. I would recommend the Riverview Room to anyone who is planning a New Orleans wedding any time of year.

I cannot say enough about this venue. It is literally PERFECT in every way. We are from Florida and wanted to be in the heart of the French Quarter and for our 150 out of town guests to see why we love this city so much. The views from the Riverview Room take your breath away. Our ceremony and cocktail hour took place on the rooftop terrace at 5pm, (we lucked out and had the most beautiful sunset you can imagine!) Mandy and her team were on top of every detail, not one thing was missed. From the moment we walked in the doors before the ceremony until the very last guest left: every detail, every moment was absolutely perfect. I didn't have to worry about one thing as we (and our parents) had someone assigned to us the entire night to make sure we were taken care of in every way. The food was amazing and several guests even told us it was the best food they had in New Orleans. Thank you all for making our night simply magical! We appreciate all of you so much.

We are from Florida and wanted to be in the heart of the French Quarter and for our 150 out of town guests to see why we love this city so much. The views from the Riverview Room take your breath away. Our ceremony and cocktail hour took place on the rooftop terrace at 5pm, (we lucked out and had the most beautiful sunset you can imagine!) Mandy and her team were on top of every detail, not one thing was missed. From the moment we walked in the doors before the ceremony until the very last guest left: every detail, every moment was absolutely perfect. I didn't have to worry about one thing as we (and our parents) had someone assigned to us the entire night to make sure we were taken care of in every way. The food was amazing and several guests even told us it was the best food they had in New Orleans. Thank you all for making our night simply magical! We appreciate all of you so much.

The best decision we made was choosing the Riverview Room as our venue. The location is great and the venue looks amazing. Itâs much roomier than a lot of the French Quarter venues and the price is very reasonable. We got married on their balcony then moved inside for the reception. Mary Quarls and her team were exceptional! This was a destination wedding and we had to communicate long distance for nearly all the planning. This has the potential to be stressful, but Mary made my life so easy, and took care of every detail that was important to me and some I didnât even think of. The staff was so attentive to us and our guests, and they took special care of our parents tables. My guests raved about the food and many of them are difficult to please! I brought in my own table decorations and all I did was draw a diagram of how I wanted it layed out and they executed it perfectly. One of my guests lost the card they were giving to us as a gift, and they found it and got it to us before we left New Orleans. Everything was so easy and flowed so seamlessly, I canât say enough about how wonderful they were. We highly recommend this venue. Mary is a godsend! They sent us off with to go plates (you never get to eat at your own wedding) and a bottle of champagne. It was fantastic! The entire experience was a dream.

I never had to ask for anything and an assistant was not only by our side, bringing drinks/helping to hold things/directing traffic, but also took excellent care of my parents and in-laws to make sure their every need was met as well. . Not only did my wedding day go smoothly, the food and drinks were TOP-KNOTCH and the layout was very well thought-out. I HIGHLY recommend this venue. Here we are 6 months later, and family/friends are still talking about how it was the best wedding they ever attended!

We can't recommend the Riverview Room enough. From the beginning their staff made us feel as if we were there only wedding they were arranging - always very kind and helpful! The views of the river and city are spectacular. The menu and food was off the charts. The staff was so incredible with helping us plan the menu. The guests could not stop raving about how delicious it all was. (A rarity in reception food!) The venue is a very nice size room with many balconies and able to transform into any vision you may have. Definitely 5+stars.

We did not get a warm and fuzzy at the scheduled tasting event (that's the reason for 4 stars), but at the end of the day, Katie really did work with us to make sure our original contract was applied and then some! My parents were very well taken care of at the reception, and we never had an empty drink in hand. I wasn't able to see the completed venue until the reception began, but I was more than pleased with how it all turned out.

The food is out of this world, and the staff that we booked with in May, 2016 (18 months before my wedding date) were incredible and so kind. However, for some odd reason, sometime in 2017 the venue did a complete overhaul of staff. The new staff was still very friendly, but the amount of times I was asked the same question was nerve wracking. The worst part was the venueâs wedding planner (who was very sweet) has no idea of my itinerary and kept asking me questions all day. Iâm the bride! I honestly believe I wasnât able to have as much fun on my wedding day because I was asked even the most basic of questions like how we were exiting the venue! I canât lie, it was upsetting.I will say the staff was very in tune to taking care of me, bringing me food and drink whenever I had an empty hand.My guests had a fantastic time, and I had fun. But being a very type A bride who had her ducks in a row way before she needed too, I was disappointed.I do not wish to deter anyone from using this stunning, fun venue. It is worth it. But I strongly suggest you hire a wedding planner (I hadnât) or designate a friend as the point person to the staff. And keep every detail discussed in writing.

The venue space is amazing and beautiful; however, the personnel were challenging. Our point of contact changed three times, the last change which occurred the week of our wedding, which was incredibly stressful given we planned our wedding from out of state. Despite reviewing all the details each time, including days before the wedding, there were many details missed. Additionally, the attendants had no clue of the itinerary and asked me, the bride, multiple questions about when to do what until my amazing photographer finally took over and ran the show. The one thing I requested was to assist with my family getting cabs at the end of the night since all of our items needed to be out of the venue. They didn't unfortunately and ultimately my uncle had to go back to the hotel to drive his car over and load up the boxes. When we followed up with the venue they nicely objected to everything which was again, frustrating. If you really love the space I would suggest booking only if you have a wedding planner. Additionally, the attendants had no clue of the itinerary and asked me, the bride, multiple questions about when to do what until my amazing photographer finally took over and ran the show. The one thing I requested was to assist with my family getting cabs at the end of the night since all of our items needed to be out of the venue. They didn't unfortunately and ultimately my uncle had to go back to the hotel to drive his car over and load up the boxes. When we followed up with the venue they nicely objected to everything which was again, frustrating. If you really love the space I would suggest booking only if you have a wedding planner. The Riverview Room's staff, especially Melanie from booking to tastings to the wedding day were so helpful. We couldnât have had better service if we had asked for it. My personal attendant, Cherie, was a life saver. When we were trying to do my bustle we didnât know what we were doing but she stepped right in and did it all in a blink of an eye. She was AMAZING!!! Our attendants made the night such a breeze and totally stress free. As far as the Riverview Room, where do I start. Everything was perfect from set up to the second line. My family and friends would not stop raving about the food and the bar service. We never had a line anywhere and there was plenty of food and places for people to sit. Everyone enjoyed the balconies and it was the perfect size for our wedding (about 250 people). When it came time for the second line the escalators were ready to go and the whole transition was flawless. I want to get married again so I can use the Riverview Room another time.

I wish I could give more stars. The venue and staff at Riverview Room were so much better than I could have ever hoped for. If you are looking for a ceremony and reception venue, this is your place! Melanie is the greatest thing that could have ever happened to our wedding. The space is absolutely gorgeous plus the incredible view in the evening, it is all fantastic! The venue provides an open bar and full buffet for the entire time, and I cannot rave enough about the food. Neither can the guests because they are still talking about every chance they get. Three words: mashed potato bar. So much yes. Planning from across the county, I was really nervous about timing and how to get everything together and have it match. Not only do they provide pretty much anything you would need, but they are experts at setting it up for you, and will coordinate and contact your vendors for you! Any vendor you would like. They are so flexible and will tailor the entire evening to anything you want and, most importantly, have excellent recommendations on where to put stuff, which is awesome because I am a horrible party planner. I cannot stress enough how incredible this venue was for the rooftop ceremony and also the reception. Everything was flawless and you feel like you are their only event. Melanie & Felicia are the team to make your wedding happen with 0% stress, I absolutely love them and am so grateful for their help and overall awesomeness.

I am so happy I had the team from the Riverview Room by my side the day of my wedding! Melanie was there for me through every process from start to finish. She answered every question I had quickly, was always available to do multiple showings with my family, and executed the night of my wedding to perfection! I went in the day before and dropped off all of my decorations with little to no guidance. Luckily, Melanie and her team knew exactly where to put my flowers, guestbook, 1000 pictures, linens, and centerpieces. The place looked flawless and I got so many compliments on how beautiful the setup was! Melanie and her team contacted all of my vendors and worked out drop off times...I didn't even have to do that! I also feel like I should mention Cherie because she was a breath of fresh air. She handled last minute details, always made sure we had drinks in our hands, we were fed, and I was where I needed to be when I needed to be there. I had told her before I wanted to get everything knocked out quick and she did a great job at making sure that happened. I got a whole hour and a half of dancing because of that! Our guests still rave about the alcohol (generous pourers!) and food! Cherie coordinated the send off to perfection as well!! She sent us home with food and well wishes! I can't thank her enough! We knew we would go over our number and were prepared to get a check by the end of the night but with all the chaos going on, they allowed us to come in the next day and pay for the rest of our payment. They didn't hound us for it and not let us leave the night of. That speaks volumes at how genuine and caring the staff is. I can't thank the Riverview Room enough for executing such a special night to perfection. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!

We had the ceremony and the reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Mary, the lady who runs the place, was absolutely wonderful. When I first met with her, I told her where I was budget wise and where my daughter was budget wise, which weren't exactly the same. Mary helped us get to an agreeable number and promised it would be wonderful. I told her that I was very concerned with the food, because we were having quite a few of out of town guests coming that had never been to NOLA and that I wanted to make sure they would have a chance to taste authentic New Orleans cuisine. She assured me it would be great, and she delivered. I'm from New Orleans, and can honestly say that the food at the reception was by far the best food I had eaten all week, but the service; well, the service made the night. From the moment I walked in the door, it was obvious that everyone there was there to make sure my daughter had the wedding of her dreams, and they did. As the father of the bride, I may have been a bit stressed that night, my attendant, Mrs Bernadette, recognized this, asked me what I needed to get through the night, and made sure I had everything; she was absolutely great.\r We actually moved the wedding date in order to be able to have it at the Riverview room, and as it turns out, that was the best decision we made.

I originally wanted to schedule my wedding in October, but unfortunately they were booked. Once I saw the venue, I knew it was too beautiful to pass up. So I decided to change my wedding date to November! I was so nervous planning everything long distance because I wasn't exactly sure if everything would turn out the way I had in visioned. The staff at the Riverview Room took the stress out of my wedding planning! Melanie was phenomenal - she was quick to answer all of my questions and went above and beyond what I thought a venue marketing assistant was responsible for (including standing in as our personal attendant the night of the wedding since the staff members wanted off for Mother's Day). A lot of my guests were from out of town, so it was important to find a venue that showcased the city I love. At the Riverview Room, they gave me a beautiful view of the city skyline during the ceremony (at sunset - the pictures are gorgeous) and the Mississippi river during the reception. My guests also went crazy over the food - they loved the mashed potato bar, the gumbo, and the baked brie especially. When we left, we were given boxes of leftover cake and food, along with a bottle of champagne. For a place that does at least 3 weddings a week, they made me feel like the most special person the entire year leading up to the big day. I hope I get another chance to attend a wedding here - everything was perfect!

My groom and I held both our wedding ceremony and reception at The Riverview Room a week ago, and had a wonderful experience. Where do I start. During my wedding I had everything that could possibly happen, happen. Events occurred with my outside vendors not wanting to move my ceremony back outside (tornado warning ended 30 minutes prior) like originally planned. The girls at the RR took it apon themselves to help my groomsman set up not only the chairs but all of my flower arrangements and their lanterns. They could have easily said no due to the circumstances. After the ceremony, which turned out beautiful, the girls continued to cater to our needs. And by \"our\" I am speaking for my husband and myself, as well as our family. They stayed on top on my schedule making sure I cut my cake, bouquet toss, etc. During a wedding the time flies so I was so thankful there were at my every beck and call. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. I had so many compliments from my guest. Not only is the inside of the venue elegent and the food is amazing, but the views of the city and river are unbelievable. If I were to do it all over again, there is no doubt I would have it all over at the Riverview Room.

Where do I start. During my wedding I had everything that could possibly happen, happen. Events occurred with my outside vendors not wanting to move my ceremony back outside (tornado warning ended 30 minutes prior) like originally planned. The girls at the RR took it apon themselves to help my groomsman set up not only the chairs but all of my flower arrangements and their lanterns. They could have easily said no due to the circumstances. After the ceremony, which turned out beautiful, the girls continued to cater to our needs. And by \"our\" I am speaking for my husband and myself, as well as our family. They stayed on top on my schedule making sure I cut my cake, bouquet toss, etc. During a wedding the time flies so I was so thankful there were at my every beck and call. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. I had so many compliments from my guest. Not only is the inside of the venue elegent and the food is amazing, but the views of the city and river are unbelievable. If I were to do it all over again, there is no doubt I would have it all over at the Riverview Room.

This venue is amazing! My husband and I currently live out of town, and planning while out of state was a breeze with them. I cannot say enough about the staff, they are great at what they do. Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the venue was & how great the food was!! They even made sure my husband and I got about 15 minutes to ourselves to eat and relax before the reception. The attendant made sure we had all of the food we needed, and our drinks were never empty! I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beautiful place with great food and staff!

Not knowing where to start, I made an appointment with Mary at Riverview room. I explained to her what I imagined for my big day she was very knowledgeable and helped me make decisions on things I was not sure about. Mary and her staff deserve a standing ovation! We had our wedding and reception here, and it truly was a dream come true! They were so easy to work with and took care of so many things, so we didn't have to worry about it. The venue is beautiful and food outstanding- so many of our guests just raved about it! I'm pretty laid back, but even I did not think planning a wedding could be so easy and enjoyable - the riverview room made it possible! \rWe had our ceremony out on the back balcony with beautiful views of the city, then our guests were able to head directly inside for excellent bar service, stellar food, and panoramic views of the river through windows and terraces. It was the perfect all in one place for our many out of town guests as well as locals. They have experience working with so many vendors - everyone we used loves working with them, which made things easy. The entire process from beginning to end was so smooth. This is the perfect venue for not just a reception, but for the wedding. The location is absolutely perfect and gives a great New Orleans feel. Aside from the venue being absolutely beautiful the staff are worth their weight in gold. Mary, who is in charge of making the brides dreams come true is BEYOND amazing. She is the easiest to work with, and will make sure that everything you've ever dreamed of happens the night of your wedding. I cannot speak more highly of her and do not have anything negative to say about the whole experience. Brides, if you want a beautiful wedding with an amazing event coordinator you definitely need to look into the Riverview Room and more importantly put your worry in Mary's hands. You will not be disappointed.

We held our ceremony and reception at the Riverview. I could not have asked for a better venue. They were FANTASTIC! They provided guidance throughout the entire process. They were always responsive. They were also responsive with the wedding coordinators. Guests are still raving about the continous food that was served and how good it was. Our families were still in awe that their were people especially assigned to cater to them during the reception. Mary and her team are exceptional. I did not have one concern or worry during the day. If I was going to plan another ceremony, I would definitely do it there. I cannot speak enough good things about the Riverview room and our experience.

I recently had my wedding at the Riverview Room and it was fantastic! There is plenty of room with an excellent view of the Mississippi River overlooking the city. The food is delicious and they service cannot get any better. When making your decision please take the Riverview Room into consideration. They include your food, liquor, service with many servers, setup, cleanup, some decorations, police, tables, chairs, etc. with an outside area to do your ceremony if you so choose. You will have to decide and pay separately for music, cake, flowers, and a few other items but the Riverview Room is a great package deal with excellent service.

We had a wonderful experience planning our March 2014 wedding at the Riverview Room. We were planning the wedding from New York and Mary and her team were always quick to reply to our questions and very accommodating towards our requests. The views were a big selling point for us as we were planning a destination wedding with out-of-town guests -- we didn't see any other venues with comparable views. \r\rWe did the ceremony on the terrace facing the French Quarter and it wrapped up about 15 minutes after sundown - the lighting was gorgeous as the sun went down, and it looked great in our photos. It was a Hindu ceremony and Mary was experienced with our mandap vendor, Nirvana, which was helpful. \r\rAs for the reception, the food was great (especially the gumbo and the Creole pasta, which were the biggest hits) and we managed to fit a brass band and a photo booth alongside our 150 guests without it feeling crowded. Also, Mary handled all the vendors and their tips so we were free to enjoy ourselves -- so glad about that! \r\rHighly recommend the RR for its beautiful views and great staff.

We were married on May 10, 2014 and held our reception at the Riverview Room. Being a long distance bride, I had very limited ability to meet with anyone at the venue and plan out my 'vision' for the night. Mary Quarles, along with her staff, made the process easy, smooth and generally just wonderful. Mary worked her schedule to accommodate my visits to town and treated my event like it was her primary focus, not just another booking at the venue.\r\rWhile planning a wedding is stressful no matter what kind of vendors you work with, I can't imagine trying to make it through those 14 months without Mary's guidance. When there was an issue with my parade permit, a question from another vendor or just my general worrying, Mary was quick to respond to every inquiry with a solution. Every suggestion or request I had was handled without push back. The venue offered a full package, making planning that much more simple - no need to work with vendors for linens, lighting, tables, chairs, etc. - everything was provided and looked lovely. \r\rFrom start to finish, our reception was amazing. Most of our guests traveled to New Orleans to celebrate with us and the location of the Riverview Room was perfect for blending popular tourist sites and gorgeous views from inside and from the 4 balconies. Guests raved about the food, the sunset over the river, the atmosphere and the overall experience.\r\rMy husband and I can't thank Mary and her staff enough for hosting a perfect night. Leading up to the big day, I remember thinking all I really had to do was show up because everything else was taken care of.

We actually live in Florida and really wanted a unique, beautiful venue since most of our friends got married on the beach. I found the Riverview Room on the Know and we made the 4 1/2 hours trip to check it out. Prior to visiting, I called and spoke with Mary Quarls, the venue coordinator. She was nothing short of amazing. She is the most personable, sweet, helpful person I encountered in all of my dealings preparing for the wedding! She even held our date for us before we came to view the venue because my significant other was deployed overseas. When we came and saw the venue we knew we would use the Riverview Room when we walked in. For a bride that doesn't want to have to do a lot of decorating, this venue is on it's own absolutely gorgeous. In the months and days leading up to the wedding, anytime I had a question, Mary responded quickly and was always helpful. She even got a list of our vendors and contacted them and arranged for them to bring their items the day of the wedding! Her staff set up EVERYTHING for us. The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. The staff never let me stress, they handled the bridal party queues for walking down the aisle, and even dealt with the vendors not associated with the venue.\rThe food was off the charts amazing. I have never had such delicious food at a wedding! It has been a month since the wedding and our guests are STILL talking about how amazing the food was! The food wasn't just amazing, it was plentiful! We had so many options for our guests to choose from! I would never recommend a strictly plated dinner after the amazing experience here. \rThis venue literally had it all. We did the wedding on the rooftop, reception inside, and even hosted a cigar bar on the veranda. The Riverview Room did all the setup, all the cleanup, and was absolutely the most courteous, helpful, friendly staff I have encountered at any event ever. \rYou WILL NOT get this experience anywhere else. I've been to so many weddings and the Bride is always extremely stressed and frazzled. The staff of the Riverview Room does not allow such nonsense! They do absolutely everything in their power to ensure the Bride has 1 thing to worry about on her wedding day - getting married. \rI will never be able to thank the staff of the Riverview Room enough. This was absolutely the fairytale wedding that I couldn't even imagine would've gone off in such a fashion without this amazing venue! \rTHANK YOU MARY & STAFF! I will forever be grateful for making our big day nothing short of perfect!

Words can not describe how awesome Mary and Cherie were. Mary Quarls was exceptional from the first day. She listened to all my details and set them up perfectly for my wedding. Cherie was the best wedding day attendant ever, my glass never went empty. She made sure my family and I were served with everything. We did not want for anything through the night. Since I did not have a wedding planner, Mary and Cherie directed us for everything from photographs to our first dance. When the night ended all of our goods were packed in our limo to go. Thank you so much Mary and Cherie for all of your hard work.
