Located in Bellevue, WA, Seattle Bride - Robinswood House is a wedding venue brimming with enchanting details. Steeped in history, it offers couple’s a setting with romantic and welcoming architectural elements surrounded by idyllic gardens. Together, this provides an unforgettable backdrop for “I dos” and their celebrations.
Seattle Bride - Robinswood House features multiple buildings, including a log cabin built in 1884 and the Main House, which was constructed in 1895. The latter was carefully renovated to ensure that its vintage charms can continue to be enjoyed for years to come. This estate is one of the oldest pioneer homesteads in the area and the house was originally owned by Hans Miller and his family.
Hand-notched framing, oak flooring, and a stone fireplace are only some of the aspects that make this a memorable locale. Outside, the patios and meticulously manicured English Garden offer space for celebrations to take place in the fresh air. Up to 200 people in theater-style seating can be accommodated in the English Garden. Over on the North Patio, there is room for up to 175 for banquet events while the South Patio is ideal for up to 50 guests in a similar setup. In addition to the patios and garden, the Cabana may also be used for soirees. Tables and chairs are available and, from the first of June to September 30th, tents can be provided for rent. Packages feature setup and takedown and the venue also offer a range of rentals, such as lighting, linens, decor items, and more. Guests can avail of the venue’s parking for their convenience.
Thank you so much Seattle Bride & the Robinswood House team! We had an amazing wedding day, perfectly curated for a moody late October wedding. We so appreciated the quick communication with Joanna that made planning our day seamless. We had about 70 guests, and the space was just the right size for us. We're so grateful that the Seattle Bride team was able to see our unique vision and layout for both ceremony and reception, and help us to make that vision a reality. Reviewed on 04-11-2023

Robinswood House was a wonderful venue for our wedding. It's the perfect garden spot that didn't require any decorations. The people running the venue are amazing to work with because they're professional, friendly, helpful, and responsive. No question went unanswered, and I had a lot of questions. From the moment we stepped on foot for our first venue tour, Joanna was the kindest. Executing the details with Joanna was straight forward, communicative, and clear. It was easy to meet payment schedule, order what we needed, and everything went smoothly according to plan. It was so wonderful to have everything we needed on site- tables, chairs, tablecloths, arbor for the ceremony, beer and wine, and this made planning really easy. It was the first venue we saw in-person, and we knew in the first 5 minutes of being there that it was everything we wanted in a venue - absolutely gorgeous, convenient location, and reasonably priced. Management was kind, professional, responsive, and well-organized from the day we booked until the day of our wedding. Our original wedding date was in 2020, and we heard so many nightmare stories about other venues from other couples who had to postpone their wedding. And to be honest, it would have been understandable if the venue did drop some balls in the chaos that was 2020 and even 2021. Not Robinswood House and, specifically, Joanna. She was so kind, flexible and informative through the pandemic chaos. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. She regularly sent us updates and reminders of things that needed our attention and was super easy to work with (even after the third time I had changed my mind about the color of the tablecloths!). They even helped us come up with a blackberry thyme champagne cocktail that wowed every one of our guests. But the Seattle Bride team really shined on the day of. It rained almost continually from the start of the outdoor ceremony, and yet the wedding and reception were magical, largely because of how the staff went above and beyond to make sure that our guests were comfortable and that everything ran smoothly. From keeping the chairs covered so seats stayed dry, to providing heat lamps, and moving the dance floor and bar under our tent after dinner, they really made it an amazing evening. As we did not have a wedding planner it was very helpful that they ran the set up and take down of major items such as ceremony chairs, dinner tables and interior furniture. When touring the venue we liked what we saw and the layout was great as there were distinct areas for different parts of the wedding but everything was still close together and connected. What we didn't get to experience until the day of was how absolutely beautiful the garden and house are when decorated. The flowers and grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Many guests commented on how everything came together so well and was just such a wonderful house & garden. Their catering options are enough to give couples different styles and options and the bar packages are enough to make sure you have the basics covered. Natasha Craig(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-07-2017 Probably more like 4.5 stars. We got married in July at Robinswood and are so happy we did. The space is beautiful and, although we were somewhat concerned with the segregated areas of the space at first, we found that only made the night more enjoyable for our guests and worked perfectly for our needs. The price for renting the space is pretty fair, parking is easy for guests, and honestly it is just one of the most breathtaking spaces if you like the outdoor/garden theme. The coordinators, Joanna and Mike, were very easy to work with - we actually live out of state and only came to visit a few times but we were able to do a wine tasting and venue walk-through any time we wanted, so long as we coordinated with them previously. Also their rental times are fairly condensed so you will probably have to play around with timing as we did, or do your ceremony offsite (which we didn't because the garden was too pretty). The only negative experience we had with Robinswood was with their bar. They control the bar, and only wine and beer are allowed (meaning no liquor). The selection of wine is very average and is marked up heftily (a fact we didn't mind much since the venue rental fee is reasonable). Just know going in that their highest level wines can be found at 7-11 or a standard grocery store. That being said I believe they would work with you if you were set on a specific brand. The great thing is you get to take home whatever alcohol isn't consumed the night of your wedding, however that brings me to the major negative about the bar: our bartender. He was pretty dismissive and even when I (the bride) and the groom went up to the bar he held a finger up at us while he finished a text message. Even worse, he told our guests we were out of rose and champagne, however when we picked up the unconsumed alcohol the next morning we had about 6 bottles left of each. That was unfortunate since we paid for all that wine and no one got to drink it.All that being said we would recommend Robinswood to everyone - the bartender and bar experience didn't ruin the wedding at all, just was a little unfortunate and a waste of money, but the night was great and the space was beautiful. Allison Cox(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-08-2017 The Robinswood House was a venue I was already somewhat familiar with before I got engaged since I lived near the park, so it was the first one I looked at when I started planning my wedding. It ended up being the only venue I looked at because after I visited I knew it was going to be perfect. The first floor of the house itself has a classy but rustic feeling, the second floor has great space for the wedding parties to get ready, the garden where the ceremony took place was large enough for my guests (120) but intimate at the same time, and the layout of the patios is perfect for dining and dancing. What I loved most was that we were able to take a number of outdoorsy pictures in the woods in the trails of the park (which was important to me since I love the outdoors) while still being in a convenient location in the middle of Bellevue. No offense! This venue is tiny! The tell you can fit 100-250 people but it should only be for 50 and under. The concrete in patios has a weird layout & grounds are uneven. It doesn't flow well at all! Forget a processional entrance. There is no room for 3 people to walk side by side. Maybe 2 and it's still tight! Your photographer will not have room to take good photos. Once your guest arrive, your photographer will have to either climb on a stair or navigate through all the obstacles, tables, chairs, people to get good angles of your event. Not worth it! Forget about video. There is no room to film a video unles you want just one angle :)5- Do I want to be OBLIGATED to use one of their EXPENSIVE and mediocre CATERING Services?9- If you need covered patio you will need to let them know days in advance as if the weather in Washington State was that predictable, otherwise you won't have a way to cover your guests from the rain or hot sun. 10- Do I want to pay for overpriced linen rental? $17 each PLUS a fee for damage if anything gets a single spot? It's a table linen, there will be food handled, chances are they will all have spots on them, even if its' only one small one. 11- Do I want to have confetti or rice or something smaller than a rose petal for decor? If so, you are out of luck as this is not allowed on property grounds and you will be fined for the use and clean up. Joanna said she will take photos and even interrupt the celebration if anything was outside of what \"rules.\" Imagine interrupting a Wedding because there is confetti or diamonds on tables? What a big deal!12- Do I mind the OVERALL outdated look of the home? Starting by the bathrooms and \"cabana.\" And the worn out buildings outside where tables and outside restrooms are? Seriously, no matter how fancy your decor is, this will kill it. 14- Expect nasty looks & annoying comments from Joanna if you want to come measure the property, no matter how nice you are, she will even shake her head wen she says \"no, no, no, no\" If you ask the same question more than once. I was hoping to have a video of this ready and her raising up one finger to complete \"the look.\"15- You are not allowed to move furniture, except for 2 Old chairs. 16-Interior of home is very old looking. Fireplace could not look cheaper. Con's-Joanna does not like it if your catering bill is under $6K because The venue/her doesn't get as big of a commission. 20% of Any catering bill you pay goes to the Venue. They won't tell you this until you have finalized your Catering bill so be prepared to have to pay and extra $1,000 or more for fees. Everyone is supposed to deny this in case you want to ask but this is how it works. You'll see it on the final bills. - Every catering bill you pay will have a 20% Service that can amount to $1-2K + only in a service fee plus another fee that's around $200-500 depending on the total of your bill. Additional to that well you pay your catering bill which won't be under $3k + fees. - Decor will get stolen!! Read full reivews on yelp. Those are more realistic. However, the low price was because it was only for half a day. And then there were a lot of little things that kept piling up. They have tables, but they charge a fee to set them up per table. They have chairs, but they're only for indoor use, and their nice chairs are way more expensive than renting them, but they don't allow you to drop rental items outside of your rental time. \r\rThey provide the alcohol (just wine/beer/cider), which is good and bad. Erika Bush(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2011 I planned my wedding from 300 miles away, so I had a hard time finding a venue. I fell in love with Robinswood House through pictures online, and it was the perfect size for my small wedding. It was also one of the least expensive locations in the area, so I was thrilled. I attended the special event and met with the 8 preferred caterers, and I feel that the selection of quality and price is quite good among those 8 caterers. I immediatly put my name down for our wedding day and made a down payment. \rThe only thing that frustrated me at first is that they were not upfront about their extra costs. I ended up paying for a security deposit that was not disclosed anywhere except the invoice I recieved when my payment was due. I had to pay several hundred dollars for extra hours, because a 4 hour time slot is not enough for a wedding. I also had to wait until 2 weeks prior to my wedding in order to reserve those hours, with the chance all along that someone might reserve them for their own wedding earlier in the day. I could have paid for the entire other half of the day, but I took my chances. Luckily it all worked out (not many weddings on Mondays I guess). \rThe next thing that frustrated me was that the chairs on site are not included in the rental. You have to pay to rent them, and if you want them set up there is another fee (per chair), and if you need them moved during the event there is another fee! They also have tables on site for free, but if you need those set up you can be sure that you'll pay for it. \rThe beer and wine list they provide is the only option for alcohol unless you want to pay corkage fees, and there is absolutely no liquor allowed. If you want a champagne toast, there is an extra fee. \rI am not saying that they are not worth working with, because everyone is extremely helpful and professional. The location is so beautiful that I only purchased bouquets and saved hundreds on flowers. The tent was expensive, but still on par with all the competitors prices and was actually in quite good shape. The area is well lit, so there is not much need for twinkle lights or lamps. All in all it was a beautiful wedding and looked exactly as I hoped, but it sure would have cost a lot if I hadn't found ways around those fees (I work for a rental company, and ended up hauling IDENTICAL chairs all the way to the wedding).\rMy caterer, Epicurean, was actually what saved the day. They set up all the tables and chairs (for no extra fee) and moved them after the ceremony. They provided linens for their tables and the DJ table, and they helped my family clean up the site afterward. What service!\rI would recommend Robinswood to someone that wants a small, simple wedding and doesn't mind expanding their budget for random costs that pop up last minute. Reviewed on 15-09-2011

Bonnie Mullins(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-07-2011 Beautiful place! Doesn’t need a lot of decorations if your wedding is in the summer because the gardens are amazing! Price is good but it doesn’t include much. No chairs, linen’s, etc. only includes tables. The time slots also make for a very early or late wedding. I had an evening wedding and it was so pretty with the Christmas lights but could have used a few more, some spaces seemed a little dark. Reviewed on 18-08-2011
Fiorella Diaz(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-07-2011 We were married at the Robinswood House in July 2011. We had a beautiful, sunny day that made the venue stand out. We fell in love with the foliage on the grounds and the rustic feel of the venue. \rWe did have a couple of times that the coordinator forgot to pencil us in for our rehearsal time, but other than that everyone was very helpful. The price is also very affordable. We would only change the hours, very short time span, we ended up buying extra hours so the wedding day didn't feel rushed. Reviewed on 19-07-2011
Heather Fulkerson(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-12-2010 We held our wedding at Clise Mansion, in Marymoor Park, Redmond. Overall we had a great experience with Seattle Bride. They were very easy to work with, offered us great and quick information and were helpful and flexible. The Mansion was decorated for Christmas and we were allowed to use all the decor for our wedding which really saved on our floral budget. My only complaint would be that the free tables that were supplied were rather beaten up, and one even collapsed at the outset of our dinner. This could have been a human error in setting up the table, but it does seem that some of their basic equipment may need to be upgraded. If I had to do it all again, I would pick this same location and people to work with. They made our wedding beautiful and stress-free. Reviewed on 27-01-2011
Chelsey Lindahl(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2010 This venue was perfect for our wedding. We had it at the Robinswood house. It was spetacular at night with their twinkle lights and beautiful landscaping. The venue was VERY affordable and we saved a great deal in decorating costs because the venue was so beautiful on it's own. Many people commented on how perfect this venue was. Reviewed on 27-09-2010
Anne Zeijpveld(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-06-2010 After finding my dream wedding location, and then having to start all over again with finding a new location because the other one wasn't quite available, we stumbled into Robinswood House, by Seattle Bride Premier Properties. I fell in love with the garden, the size, the different corners and options. We didn't have to think too long about it, and booked it for a June wedding. \rWe, and our guests were amazed by the looks, it was a true dream. \rEnough parking space (the location is right by a big park, and it was a rainy day - I assume on sunny days parking might be a bit tougher, but they did close of the parking lot for our wedding)\rCatering options are nice and diverse, Seattle Bride organizes tasting days, to present the 8 caterers that you can choose from for the wedding.\rThe weather forecast toyed with us, but with the tents and flexibility of our contacts at Seattle Bride, we got a last-minute rainplan well worked out. \rRobinswood House was a big part of my dream wedding come true! ANNIE BILLINGTON(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-08-2007 I loved that it had indoor and outdoor space - but more outdoor space than anything. We were married in a gorgeous sunken English garden - surrounded by flowers and trees. There are two patios for the reception. We had tables, guest book table, etc. on one and cocktail tables and dancing on the other. I would recommend visiting the location!;The wine list is horrible! The wines on their list are cheap and not good - you definitely would not want to serve them to your guests! I would recommend spending the extra money and ordering wines off their list. JAMAICA MORRIS(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-10-2006 The Clise Mansion at Marymoor Park was a wonderful venue because it was so clean and classic. The hardwood floors and warm white walls were a blank canvas for our wedding. The fact that the interior is so elegantly understated allowed small historic details-- light fixtures from the '20s and beautiful windows-- to shine all the brighter.;Make sure you visit the site to see the measurements of each room in person, because the map is not perfectly to scale. Also, the lighting is lovely but does not work well for amateur photographers, who will need to use a flash. Reviewed on 18-08-2007
