Rockfield Manor is a historic wedding venue located in Bel Air, MD. Situated on 51 acres of rolling hills, this mansion offers a warm, inviting, and retro atmosphere for your celebration. The house was originally built in 1921 and features classic architectural details and sweeping manicured grounds. You and your partner are invited to tie the knot at this breathtaking venue, where you will be awash in vintage charm. Weddings at Rockfield Manor take place in the beautiful garden with white ceremony arch or in our barn, where you can say your vows surrounded by exposed beams and sparkling festival lights. Receptions are held in the covered stone patio, an expansive terrace that can host up to 130 guests. Larger events require an additional tent rental. This climate-controlled patio is surrounded by lush sloping lawns and an elaborate stone fountain. The manor itself features several tastefully-appointed reception rooms, a living room with a cozy fireplace, and a sunroom. A separate bridal cottage house and Groom Suite w/furnishings and hardwood floors is also available for preparing ahead of the festivities with your wedding party. Rockfield Manor has a one-event-per-day policy, which means that on your special day you will have exclusive access to the property. Rental of the facility comes with tables and chairs for 130 guests and a list of preferred vendors. This comprehensive list includes everything from catering companies and bakeries to DJs and florists. The venue staff can also recommend trusted officiants, hair and makeup artists, dress boutiques, photographers, and videographers. In addition, we provide a “Just US” weekday package that is perfect for elopements and other intimate weddings with just your closest friends and family.

The staff at Rockfield Manor was nothing short of amazing!!! Working with Rockfield to book this Manor was as easy as they made our special day feel. As a Bride our big day is all ready stressful… any unexpected change or need was met with the upmost importance. They went above and beyond to accommodate anything we needed while getting ready or that we had forgotten(ex. Our mimosa cups while bridal party got ready). My vision was brought to life without question. Rockfield killed it with decor set up, everything was as asked. Our guests have reached out to say how welcomed they felt, any of their concerns were addressed promptly. The Rockfield team worked hand in hand with our outside vendors as if they have all been working together for years, communication was key and they nailed it. The Groom mention a special moment was when his mother from nursing home had to depart early and he want to make sure he had some family pictures with her, our coordinator wasted not a second finding our photographer to have her ready right after our cake was cut to capture this special moment for him. Rockfield Manor grounds are very clean and very well maintained. The Manor grounds are beautiful and breathtaking photos are captured. The Manor offers spacious rooms while remaining cozy charming. Once you see it, you will fall in love. I can not imagine our special day being anywhere else. We are beyond grateful for the amount of effort and love that was poured into our wedding. If you’re looking for a beautiful, and comforting atmosphere for your special day, Rockfield Manor is the place ! My husband and I absolutely loved everything about Rockfield. The manor is close to home, and a beautiful place. Our day of Coordinator Dani was exceptional! She took care of every detail, and calmed my nerves. Kellee was so personable and wonderful when we met her the day we toured Rockfield, and was very helpful in getting her recommendations. We have so many wonderful memories from our wedding day, and we are so happy we picked Rockfield Manor as our venue.

Rockfield Manor was an absolute dream come true! I knew from the beginning that this was the venue we needed and boy did they prove me right every step of the way! Rockfield keeps their cost insanely affordable in comparison to a lot of other wedding venues in the area, all while still delivering on high quality service. They work very closely with their recommended vendors and help to ensure you have a beautifully seamless day. They were always available to answer our anxious questions and really helped us navigate the difficulties of planning our own wedding. I HIGHLY recommend adding a Day of Coordinator. Shoutout to ours, Amy! She was PHENOMENAL! So sweet and soothing while also being super knowledgable! She set up all our decor perfectly! She literally catered to our every need the week and day of! Could not have done it without her! Also have to mention how beautiful and charming Rockfield is on its own! The Manor and grounds speak for itself! We got married on Nov. 4th and the fall foliage and landscaping came to SLAY! I’m sure it’s beautiful during winter and summer as well. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Rockfield for making our Wedding Day absolutely perfect! <3

We used Rockfield Manor for our November 2023 wedding. We fell in love with Rockfield Manor as soon as we walked through the doors to tour the venue. The garden ceremony space outside with the fall foliage is stunning. Though we used the garden for our ceremony, it eased my pre-wedding worries knowing that we had the option to use the barn in the event of rain which is also a beautiful space. My favorite thing about using Rockfield for our wedding is by far the staff. All of the staff were so helpful and kind from the very beginning. I highly recommend utilizing the day of coordination option through Rockfield. Dani was incredible and went above and beyond to make our vision come true. She was so patient and responsive in the weeks leading up to the wedding through to the end of the event and we are so grateful to her and the Rockfield team.

Absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for better. Rockfield’s whole team was not only professional, but just in general so sweet throughout the whole process. Every person on the staff did their part to make us feel like our day was the only thing important to them. They got back to us to answer all of our millions of little questions within 24 hours. I would give 6 stars if I could!

Our wedding was on October 14th 2023 at Rockfield Manor and it was an absolute dream. Despite it pouring down rain all day, everything was perfect! The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL and the staff are AMAZING! Our day of coordinator was Amy and I cannot say enough about her. She was very attentive and made sure everything ran so smoothly! I hand made all my decor and she had everything set out and displayed so beautifully and perfect! I did not have to worry about a thing and she made sure of that! I would highly recommend Rockfield Manor to any future bride! My day was everything I dreamed it to be and more!

They were on top of making sure I got my rehersal and walkthrough booked in plenty of time- and ensured someone was at both appointments to answer any questions we had. They are very hands on during your rehersal and day of- they took my DIY wedding and left me with no concerns by going above and beyond and filling in any gaps. They truly helped make our wedding the perfect day ❤️

I can not say enough good things about the staff here. Eileen went above and beyond to help me decorate, organize, and prepare for my big day. Kellee was always so prompt and professional every time I encountered any questions or concerns. Crossroads bistro (caterer) did an outstanding job with the food, service, preparation, cleanup, and even helped me set up and breakdown the wedding decor. The helpfulness of the staff from both vendors well exceeded my expectations. They did everything in their power to make the day comfortable, stress free, and beautiful. 1000/10 recommend! Rockfield made our wedding day dreams come true. It was actually the first venue we looked at, but we were so certain it was the right choice that we booked immediately. The coordinators were so detailed and thoughtful. The staff truly went out of their way to ensure our day ran smoothly. Bridal cottage was perfect- I only wish they gave the cottage to you the whole day when you booked. Otherwise, absolute perfection.

Rockfield made our wedding day dreams come true. It was actually the first venue we looked at, but we were so certain it was the right choice that we booked immediately. The coordinators were so detailed and thoughtful. The staff truly went out of their way to ensure our day ran smoothly. Bridal cottage was perfect- I only wish they gave the cottage to you the whole day when you booked. Otherwise, absolute perfection.

Absolutely beautiful day at Rockfield for our wedding! Everything was beautiful and so organized. I am so excited to get the rest of my pictures back to see more how the decor and tables turned out. It's not their fault the day flies by. Kellee was so responsive and helpful throughout planning for questions or letting me set up more tours for family/close friends visiting. I am so glad we used a coordinator as well. Dani made everything so much easier and helped me figure out details I was not sure about. I didn't use a wedding planner so any help was so appreciated. It rained on our day but Rockfield was ready and so organized with adapting and making the day absolutely perfect.

Rockfield and their staff, impeccable!! Hands down so impressed and so happy to have had them host us for the most important day of our lives! I loved the romantic, intimate and cozy vibe of the manor house. If you are a winter / December bride and you are looking for a beautiful winter wonderland, this is IT! The manor was decked out in a winter wonderland theme and was so warm and inviting. Our big day was more than I could have ever asked for. Everything was perfect. I would say that the bridal sweet is the cutest little \"she-shed\" ever. I walked in and I felt like I was in a real life Barbie dream house. The mirrors and the glitz and glam was a perfect place for a bride and her girls to get ready. The bridal suite is a perfect distance from the manor and also the barn option for the ceremony. I was able to say warm in the bridal suite and watch all my guests as they arrived, what an amazing moment for me as a bride.The grooms suite, perfect! Perfect for the groom and his guys to get ready and party. The bar was an amazing little detail that allowed our guys serve up some drinks!The grounds of the manor have so many beautiful options for a photo op. The grounds were so well kept! Erika, our day of coordinator, incredible. She handled soooooo many things for me. Erika took all of my decorations at our rehearsal day and made sure everything got to its precise spot on our special day. She was so transparent and answered all my questions in such a timely manor. I knew she was on it every second of the days leading up to the wedding. Hands down, Erika was the reason I was able to stay sane for the entire day. She did not skip a beat. Erika was ready for every little thing and had a solution for all my worries. Not only did she run our night but she did it without me even having to question what was going to come next, she was one step ahead of me at all times. Rockfield and their staff, impeccable!! Hands down so impressed and so happy to have had them host us for the most important day of our lives! I loved the romantic, intimate and cozy vibe of the manor house. If you are a winter / December bride and you are looking for a beautiful winter wonderland, this is IT! The manor was decked out in a winter wonderland theme and was so warm and inviting. Our big day was more than I could have ever asked for. Everything was perfect. I would say that the bridal sweet is the cutest little \"she-shed\" ever. I walked in and I felt like I was in a real life Barbie dream house. The mirrors and the glitz and glam was a perfect place for a bride and her girls to get ready. The bridal suite is a perfect distance from the manor and also the barn option for the ceremony. I was able to say warm in the bridal suite and watch all my guests as they arrived, what an amazing moment for me as a bride.The grooms suite, perfect! Perfect for the groom and his guys to get ready and party. The bar was an amazing little detail that allowed our guys serve up some drinks!The grounds of the manor have so many beautiful options for a photo op. The grounds were so well kept! Erika, our day of coordinator, incredible. She handled soooooo many things for me. Erika took all of my decorations at our rehearsal day and made sure everything got to its precise spot on our special day. She was so transparent and answered all my questions in such a timely manor. I knew she was on it every second of the days leading up to the wedding. Hands down, Erika was the reason I was able to stay sane for the entire day. She did not skip a beat. Erika was ready for every little thing and had a solution for all my worries. Not only did she run our night but she did it without me even having to question what was going to come next, she was one step ahead of me at all times. Not only was it affordable, but they didn’t add any extra charges for things like tables & chairs, use of the on-site facilities, etc. The grounds are stunning & well-kept, our photos on the ground look like we were in an enchanted forest. The staff were absolutely wonderful and made sure our vision came to life. I absolutely recommend adding on the day of coordinator services; Erika & Stephanie perfected every detail of set-up & were right there to trouble-shoot from re-working the floor plan to running to get my veil when I realized I forgot it in the bridal cottage, to even bustling my dress. My only recommendation would be to allow earlier access to the bridal suite, we only had 2 hours, so I just wish I had a bit more time to relax. Other than that, our day was perfect!

They accepted my guest count of 120 people (I ended up with about 75 guests at the end). Not only were they accommodating of me last minute (less than two months before my wedding date), but they accepted my caterer who wasn't on their approved wedding list and my bounce house. They were beyond professional, caring, and made my day absolutely perfect! The cherry on top was that it was cheaper than my original venue and soooo much more beautiful. If you are looking for a gorgeous, reasonably-priced venue that can fit a relatively large guest count, look no further than Rockfield Manor. You won't regret it.

We didn't want to have a wedding were everyone was wearing face masks and social distancing would be enforced by the Rockfield staff. We also didn't feel right asking people to gather in large amounts when it is incredibly unwise to do so at this time. When we tried to cancel our wedding with Rockfield due to not wanting any restrictions placed upon our day, we received a lot of push back from Kellee. We didn't agree to the restrictions Rockfield wanted to impose upon our wedding, so we wanted to no longer hold our wedding with them. Rockfield claimed that they could still host our event, but according to current Maryland rules, this was not true. To this day we still have not gotten our deposit back, despite the fact that Rockfield is not able to hold our event due to the covid-19 restrictions. I would urge you to consider a different location that will actually be accommodating when unprecedented times happen in this nation.

I didn't book right away and Fall was almost completely booked once I went back to book! Kellee was extremely helpful and communicated the days available. She let me know when the last Saturday was about to be taken and I was able to book! I'm very thankful for the work between Kellee & Sheree at Liberatore's. If you are a high stress person, I would consider a day of coordinator-it is A LOT of work. If you want to enjoy your day and not stress-get a coordinator!!! We didn't have one, and it was a little hectic before the ceremony, but my vendors were amazing. The venue is gorgeous. It was a perfect Garden style wedding. We had 120 guests on a pretty day. 3 tables had to be moved after dinner to make room for dancing but it worked out fine. We had high top tables and put the chairs around the outside. It was a little tight around the tables for dinner, so if anything I would say to keep your guest list to 100, but I wouldn't take anything back! Our day was perfect.

Rockfield Manor is a lovely and affordable outdoor/indoor wedding venue in Bel Air. I agree that it was difficult to get ahold of the director during the planning stages, but she left about a month before our wedding so I worked with board members in the final month. My understanding is that they have now hired new staff. The individuals who were there the day of my wedding were incredible. My caterer ended up not doing what she needed to do (I highly recommend going with one of the preferred caterers that the venue suggests), and the staff/board members helped me and my coordinator out SO much! Oh - I also would recommend getting a day-of coordinator... you don't want to be setting anything up or worrying about anything on the day of your wedding! It rained during my ceremony time, so we ended up putting all the flaps down on the tent and holding the ceremony under the tent, but it ended up being cozy and beautiful. The storm quickly passed, and I requested that the flaps be pulled up, which they were right away, and the party started. Everything flowed very smoothly at the venue, and all my friends and family remarked on the beautiful space. The flowers and landscaping are perfection! I truly think that the venue is under better management now so I would highly recommend this space for your wedding. We had 135 guests, and if you want everyone seated under the tent for dinner then I wouldn't go over 140. Despite some drama leading up to our wedding (which was all in regards to staff changes), I am really glad we decided to have our wedding there!

It has taken me some time to write this review because I have mixed feelings. The venue outside is itself beautiful with perfect gardens and amazing scenery. The weather on a possible hurricane weekend cleared up and was lovely. That is the positive. The negative is the staff. (if you can call them that) From day 1 Jennifer is horrid to get a hold of. I finally stopped calling and emailing and just showed up during their advertised hours. I also called the cell phone number on her business card and we were disconnected several times. Everything went well during our walk through and I thought all was well. The day of the event there was an assistant there. I still do not know her name. She never introduced herself. She was rude to the Band and the Best Man. The wind was very high that day and the entire ceremony and reception were outside on the patio. She was asked and eventually had to be bullied to put the sides down on the patio when the centerpieces were falling over. The walkways, staircase, and aisle were full of debris from the bad weather and she was asked to provide some cleanliness to those areas by the best man as there were going to be a lot of ladies in heels. No response, Dean and Brown Catering cleaned the area when she ignored the request. Jennifer had advised that during the ceremony the fountain could be turned off. Assistant had to be forced to turn it off. This assistant then sat in the room across from the Bridal Room and was very unnerving during my prep. The Bridal Suite and Room for the Groom is the third part of this review. The door does NOT close on the Bridal Room. The room for the guys has NO DOOR. One folding chair and no place to do anything to prepare. The bathroom is past the Bridal Room so a body had to blockade the door for the Bride to be not seen. The ceremony and reception were amazing but not because of the staff that runs this venue.

She was asked and eventually had to be bullied to put the sides down on the patio when the centerpieces were falling over. The walkways, staircase, and aisle were full of debris from the bad weather and she was asked to provide some cleanliness to those areas by the best man as there were going to be a lot of ladies in heels. No response, Dean and Brown Catering cleaned the area when she ignored the request. Jennifer had advised that during the ceremony the fountain could be turned off. Assistant had to be forced to turn it off. This assistant then sat in the room across from the Bridal Room and was very unnerving during my prep. The Bridal Suite and Room for the Groom is the third part of this review. The door does NOT close on the Bridal Room. The room for the guys has NO DOOR. One folding chair and no place to do anything to prepare. The bathroom is past the Bridal Room so a body had to blockade the door for the Bride to be not seen. The ceremony and reception were amazing but not because of the staff that runs this venue.

It is so hard to give a fair rating of Rockfield Manor. We were recently married here and I have both positive and negative things to say.I will start with the positive. Rockfield Manor is absolutely gorgeous. You can't go wrong- the grounds are well kept and the flowers are beautiful. The barn provides a lovely place to hold your ceremony. The inside of the house is clean and has many rooms for cocktail hour. The covered patio is the perfect place for dinner and dancing. I am so please with the venue choice. And for the price, you really can't beat it.The bad- The woman in charge of Rockfield Manor takes all the fun out of your wedding. From the very beginning she was impossible to get a hold of. Never picked up her phone during office hours (which is only T-Th from 10-3), voicemail is always full, and it takes forever to get an email from her. I sent her an email at the beginning of October about our DJ and did not receive a response until the day of our wedding. The day of my walk through with the caterer, we showed up to locked doors and no one to be found. Turns out she had an emergency, which I feel badly for her, but she never even called or emailed to let me or the caterer know. She was not there the day of our wedding, she had another girl there to help us. I did not know who this girl was as she never introduced herself. While talking with the caterer about something that was supposed to be left for us in the barn, she offered no assistance. At the end of the night this girl was very rude to my parents while we were trying to clean up.It is hard to say whether I would recommend this venue- while it is lovely and affordable, sometimes the stress of working with the people there made it seem like I made the wrong choice.

Rockfield manor is the perfect venue for a romantic outdoor wedding. Jenny assisted us with all of our planning, although at times she was difficult to contact. The covered space outdoors is perfect for dining and dancing up to 100 people. Our guests could not get over how lovely and romantic the grounds are. Wonderful scenery and beautiful locations for taking pictures! Even though it was warm outside, the air conditioning inside kept a cooler option for guest. They work closely with Dean and Brown Catering and they together made a beautiful wedding event!

Rockfield Manor was the ideal venue for my wedding. The ceremony and reception both took place outdoors on the Manor's lawn and patio. Despite the fact that it was July, the shade and breeze kept everyone from being too hot. Plus we had access to the air-conditioned house for anyone who needed to cool off some more. \rThe photos on their website do NOT do the venue justice. Take the time to visit it in person to really appreciate how beautiful it is. It's located on a public park with plenty of great locations for photos. \rJane, the venue manager, was also very pleasant and helpful to work with. She helped us choose a caterer and was very accommodating to our schedule.

The venue is stunning. That being said, there is no staff and no one to help set up, break down, greet guests, nothing. You're responsible for cleaning the entire place before you leave--including removing trash, moving tables and chairs back into storage, etc. \r\rNONE of this was mentioned before I booked the venue. It was only during the planning stages that I realized I would be responsible for everything, I simply was just paying for the space. Had I known this ahead of time, I would not have booked the space. I spent an hour after my wedding picking up trash in my dress.

Rockfield Manor was a beautiful place to have our wedding. We planned for an all outdoor event. And we were outside for the ceremony, photos and cocktail hour but were hit with a freak tornado (20 minutes away so we got all the rain) as we started our first dance. Even though it rained we were able to move everything in and keep on celebrating. \rWhat was missing however for the $1500, was someone onsite from the venue for logistical purposes during the event. Jane was wonderful to deal with during the looking over, rental and incredibly accomodating at letting us set up early but mainly mia the day of (other than to stop by the check in briefly, 15 minutes max). The caterer could have used the help manuvering etc with the sudden \"change\" due to the rain. And the logistical things like the fact that the heater was on in the house (it was sweltering) and the caterer did not know where the controls were...could have been more smoothly handled with someone on site. Eventually she found it and got the ac pumping. \rAlso with as expensive as the site is to rent, it would be nice if they put a little money back into the furnishings...for example the cracked mirror in the Bridal sweet. Took some great photos in the mirror, but the huge crack in the bottom looks awful (and it is not period to the historic house so it looks out of place).

My husband and I decided to get married at the Rockfield Manor in Bel Air, MD for two reasons. The first reason was it had a barn and the second, it was pretty cheap compared to the other venues we looked at. The venue was beautiful and the location was great! It was only 10-15 minutes away from the hotel our guest stayed at and was 5 minutes away from downtown Bel Air, for those guests that wanted to continue to the bars for the after party. The Barn is where we held our ceremony. It was perfect. Simple, elegant, classic. I did all the decorations myself, but there is really no need for a lot. It was a beautiful day, so the grounds had lots of woodsy and floral accents. The reception was up at the main house out in the back yard. I was worried about everything coming together and all our guest fitting. We had about 110 people there and we all fit great. It might have been tight if it rained and then we would have had to go in the house. Luckily, it all worked out for us. We had a band set up and DJ out on the patio for the dancing. It was great and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The grounds are garden like and ideal for photos. A tent is available in case of bad weather, and if you are looking for something even more different they also have a barn you can get married in. Jane, the lady who runs Rockfield Manor, is very friendly and patient, no matter who many annoying emails you send she responds back very quickly.\r\rWe had a great time here and this location gives you a chance to really make your wedding your own by bringing in your own decor and caterers. \r\rVery beautiful location

The site manager Jane is a wonderful person and very accomodating. The site itself is beautiful - perfect for 75-100 people and has a beautiful view just minutes from downtown Bel Air. The historic house is lovely inside and has a nice patio out back for drinks and dancing.;An inside wedding is feasible but not ideal. We had to have dinner inside due to the threat of rain and it was cramped!

Kellee Kalthof (Events Director) Kellee is a Harford County native, currently residing in Forest Hill with her family. She has deep roots in the community as a Fallston High School and Harford Community College Alum. Kellee brings with her 15+ years in the hospitality industry and has been a part of the Rockfield family since 2017. This is also the place where Kellee and her husband began their journey as a married couple years ago.
